Two days had passed since Aizen came to terms with Nazarick, and while he awaited word from the Sorcerer Kingdom to arrive in a more official capacity, he prepared for another event of major importance to the Roble Holy Kingdom. Of course, getting it to happen was simple for Aizen, as he only needed to convince his wholly enamored Queen to officially delegate some of their work to someone that was trustworthy, and was able to handle such duties.

Executing it was likewise a simple matter, as he was more than capable of assisting Calca, and arranging Kelart to be freed from the majority of both her official and unofficial duties. Calca was convinced and Kelart saw the merits in his idea, even if Remedios didn't. The rest followed along easily enough, even more so when it came from the King; a man who commanded such great intellect and martial might, and thus the official creation of the post of Prime Minister had come into being, with Aizen's right-hand Amelia Bedelia Aigner being the first.

So it was that the monarchs arranged for a grand event to take place in the Royal Capital, in an enormous hall to publicly announce the Roble Holy Kingdom's new Prime Minister. Despite the large crowd forming outside the building, only those of a certain social standing were allowed inside. Those were then led into a large auditorium, filling the many seats in the area that led to the stage where the ceremony would take place to capacity, while the rest filled the private booths that were also present above.

In one of those booths was Prince Caspond Bessarez, accompanied by a small group, including bodyguards such as the Vice-Captain of the Paladin Order Gustav Montagnés, as per his sister's request. In another booth was the Green of Nine Colors, Ran Tsu An Rin representing the newly strengthened bond between the Kingdom and the Merfolk that populated their waters.

The southern portion of Roble was also represented, and while the suddenness of the event and general tension between North and South ensured that their numbers weren't great, they certainly weren't low in quality. Surrounded by a considerable entourage in his booth was a member of the south's nobles, whom tasked with representing the entire group for this event, the ever shrewd Marquis Bodipo.

Leaning back on his seat, the Marquis enjoyed some grapes that were given to him by a woman to his side, while stroking his greying beard. His keen eyes scanned all that was around him, and a pleased smile decorated his features. Bodipo knew that he had done well in arguing for his presence here, and while everything was rushed due to the event's suddenness, he certainly knew that his faction would only benefit from making its presence known.

Among his fellows, the opinion on this new Prime Minister position was varied, and with good reason. It clearly strengthened the power of the Queen's faction, but the Marquis and the rest knew that this event wasn't important when it came to the Queen. Much had been said about the new King and the Espada, however no one from the South had yet to really see any of them in action, so the Marquis was more than happy to be the one to have to shoulder the weight of looking upon the man that had reenergized the Queen's reign and reputation.

Continuing to look around at the crowd and booths, the keen-eyed Marquis noticed individuals and officials from other states, much to his honest surprise. It wasn't easy to tell, but having gained considerable experience from his time, and the information he had gathered, allowed him to spot representatives from the Argland Council State that, despite being human, were given away by certain mannerisms and styles of dress, if one knew what to look for.

A very small group from the Re-Estize Kingdom was in attendance, which was surprising given their current situation, and even more surprising was the presence of those from the Baharuth Empire. He had to admit that he had never been at an event that gathered people from these nations in one place, and subtle implications did not escape him; this was the influence of their new King at work. This alone made him even more eager to see and meet with him.

As the crowds socialized and took in their surroundings, preparations for the event finalized, including the placement of two thrones upon stage, along with a podium. Several high-ranking Paladin filled the area placing themselves next to the entrance, along the red-carpet leading to the stage and around it. After them came the Queen's Twin Wings, the Custodio sisters, who took positions on opposite sides to the stage and after a pause, the doors opened, and the Royal Pair entered the room.

The Queen was as beautiful as always, if not more so as she exuded a new mature, womanly glow since she had wed. Her arm wrapped around that of her husband's, whom wore boots with white trim, blue trousers, a white top with a blue mantle placed over his form, and a silver-colored crown similar to that of the Queen on his head. Their appearance began with their entering the room, stopping to take in the audience, and then resumed towards the stage, allowed for everyone to get a good look at the Royal couple, and most especially the King.

Indeed, even those from the North hadn't had much of a chance to see him, so even for them it was their first time to really take in their new King's measure. When it came to the Marquis, the aging noble found himself stunned, dropping the grape that he was about to place in his mouth. It didn't take a genius to realize, as Aizen was no longer "pulling any punches" when it came to letting himself be seen, that this man would not be easily influenced or bent to anyone's will.

"Tch!"

This was the sound that escaped Bodipo's lips as he leaned back on his seat and began stroking his beard in annoyance. "The man has no openings", was the first thing that came to mind as the experienced noble couldn't see how to win over him. Perhaps it could be achieved via the offering of sympathy from the South but even then, it wasn't looking good for the Southern Noble Alliance. Truly, as he gazed upon their new King, "formidable" was the only word to use.

Both King and Queen then walked up to the stage, where Calca took a seat, while Aizen made his way to the podium, where he looked around for a moment, before starting the opening speech of the event.

"I would like to begin by thanking everyone that has come here today. Everyone who has come from far and wide, to be here as we lay the first stone for what will be the future of the Roble Holy Kingdom."

As Aizen spoke, he lifted his right-hand and performed a rather standard gesture of motioning with his hand over the people in attendance. What no one really noticed, was that Aizen moved his hand so that it would in some way point to everyone in private booths that had a relation to a foreign nation. An act that some of the more political veterans were quick to notice, including Marquis Bodipo.

"As I am sure you are all aware, the purpose of this event and the subsequent feast after, will be our first Prime Minister's induction into her office. An office that will aid the rulership of this nation in the changes soon to come. Especially now, as part the Great Wall has fallen, and our increased martial might will aid in ensuring that what resides beyond it will not so easily intrude upon our lands. Now, I am certain everyone wants to know who this Prime Minister will be. I assure you that this announcement will come shortly, so do be patient."

Given the podium's magical properties that activated when Aizen touched it as he spoke, his voice was easily projected throughout the room. This not only made it easy for people to hear what was a brief introductory speech, but also allowed them to witness, hear, and truly feel the charisma of the man.

The confidence and certainty in his words, showed a natural gravitas that easily bespoke of a man with cunning and intelligence that easily matched his rumored martial might. For anyone that hoped to somewhat manipulate the King, it was again made clear that such a feat wouldn't be easily achieved, if at all.

"Now, I pass the word to my wife, Her Majesty Queen Calca Bessarez." He added with a fond smile that made many in the audience swoon as he pulled away from the podium.

Turning towards the throne, Aizen took his seat as Calca gingerly made way to the podium, the couple exchanging a quick glance that made the Queen blush. As she placed herself on the podium and put her hands upon it, the exchange of looks certainly wasn't missed by the keen-eyed observers. Some of which either shared in a low gasp, mumble or even blush of their own, as they got to witness such a simple, yet clearly passionate display from the Queen and King.

"Again, I bid you welcome to this event and subsequent feast. We are here today to swear our newest Prime Minister into her office. However, before we proceed, I must first make everyone aware of another matter, that has been discussed for quite some time by myself, and those close to me." Calca began, taking a breath as she gathered her thoughts.

"I would like to announce that, starting tomorrow, the Roble Holy Kingdom shall henceforth drop its isolationist approach to foreign affairs, and will begin to actively expand outwards, and strengthen relations that we already maintain with our neighbors..."

There was a flurry of mushed whispers echoing within the audience as her words carried the weight appropriate to her announcement. After all, for a long time the Holy Kingdom had been isolated, which in some ways was seen as beneficial, but certainly had hurt it in the long run. So it was expected that some of those present would actively cheer the announcement, while others quietly clapped as they silently cursed the lifting of the isolation that had allowed them to grow in power as much as they had up until now.

"...I am glad to see that so many of you seem to approve. It certainly puts my heart at ease. But for those that seem apprehensive, you must understand that if we are to recover from the recent invasion, and hope to be able to attain all that we need in order to not only recover, but prosper, expansion and whatever problems may come from it are necessary."

Calca's tone carried a never-before-seen power and confidence, and more than before it was clear to those present that she had matured much ever since marrying Aizen. No longer would she so easily be looked down upon by those around her. This certainly was the case for Marquis Bodipo, who literally looked down upon the scene from his booth, his hand stroking his beard as he let out another weary sigh.

He wondered just when the gaze of his and his fellows' had grown so strained as to miss such a significant metamorphosis. It would seem, at least from where he sat, that the rulers of this nation had no clear opening in their armor. He could only hope that the Prime Minister would be different, but as he looked upon on those stage, he doubted that would be the case.

"Now, greater interaction with other nations will naturally bring about more complexity when it comes to politics, and for that we have chosen a Prime Minister to help delegate and organize the necessary tasks for this great change. I will admit there are many who would be capable of taking on this role, and that these people will surely play a part one way, or the other, in our future, but they will do so under one that has shown the ability to take the reins of something much grander than humans would usually be exposed to. With that said, I ask you to welcome our Prime Minister, known to those who have officially dealt with the Espada, Amelia Bedelia Aigner."

All eyes went to the entrance doors being opened by two Paladins that kept guard, and from behind them emerged the raven-haired figure of Amelia, wearing knee high boots, dark-blue trousers, white blouse, along with a white and blue mantle draped over her form. Following behind her was the 4th-Espada, Juno Ulmeyda, in a relatively ornate armor to match those of the Paladins in the area. Giving the chamber a quick look-over, Amelia started to make her way to the stage to meet Calca and Aizen, with Juno staying just before the stage.

As she did, those present had mixed reactions to her being chosen as Prime Minister. Those that knew her for the most part approved of the choice, as they saw her as competent. A larger part of those present wished for someone native to Roble to be chosen like Kelart or Caspond, while others while not knowing her could see that she had a certain capable air about her.

In the case of the Marquis, he kicked himself for not having considered her as an option for the role since he would have expected Kelart or the Prince. Despite some of the prevailing beliefs in the South that women aren't as capable when governing, he was open minded enough to see that Amelia was certainly capable. Since she worked with Aizen before, he doubted their new King would have picked her if she was lacking.

During this time, a servant brought an ornate wooden box to Aizen, just as the King rose to his feet and made his way to Calca's side, just as Amelia approached and greeted them with a bow. Both women placed a hand on the podium, so that everyone present could listen to the brief exchange that was about to take place.

"Amelia Bedelia Aigner, do you swear as the Prime Minister of the Roble Holy Kingdom to hold this nations and its people's interest at the forefront, and always strive towards a better future for this nation?" Calca solemnly began for the oath of the Prime Minister's office.

"I do. I swear to hold this nations and its people's interest at the forefront and always strive towards a better future for this nation, for as long as I am its Prime Minister." Amelia calmly and resolutely replied.

"Very well. Then with all present as witnesses, I officially appoint you, Prime Minister of the Roble Holy Kingdom."

Queen Calca then turned to Aizen, who opened the box revealing a gold and platinum ring with the nation's crest upon it. The Queen carefully retrieved and presented it, and placing it upon Amelia's already extended finger. The newly appointed Prime Minister then gave her rulers another reverential bow, before turning to the audience in attendance.

What the ring could do was known to those on stage and the Espada, as it had been revealed before the start of this mostly symbolic ceremony. First and foremost it would serve as an official seal and stamp for Amelia to use during her duties, and along with that it would help replenish her stamina, and protect her from disease and poison.

At this point the guests rose to their feet in standing ovation to celebrate Amelia's rise to the status of Prime Minister. Naturally behind this polite presentation, many were already planning on ways to get on the good side of the King and Prime Minister, while the more well educated quietly cursed themselves for the major complication that had been thrown into their own plans. An even smaller percentage still continued to think about how to approach them, despite realizing just how capable these people were.

After a series of closing words from both Queen and King, the ceremony came to a close and all guests were allowed to disperse throughout the building. While it was primarily a meeting hall, it more than easily could hold a feast and the socialization that would come with it. The meal itself wasn't the interesting point of the evening, as given the large amount of people present, many ate in different parts of the building.

This was even more so for the King, Queen, Prince, Prime Minister and those close to them, as they ate in a private dining hall. This meant that the interesting part came after, when everyone was free to walk around, gather, be served drinks and appetizers, and finally socialize with whoever they wished in attendance.

The time then came for nobles, merchants, and foreign guests to mingle amongst themselves, trying their very best to ingratiate themselves with those whose stations were equal or above their own. Given the newly appointed Prime Minister and recently crowned King, they became the evening's focus, having little room to breathe as the end of one conversation became the start of another.

Yet this rhythm didn't faze either Amelia or Aizen, each experienced in varying degrees in taking care of such tedious, often patience-testing events and rituals, and all without dropping their guard. Still, despite that, the rings, and the enhancements she developed from her time with Aizen, Amelia's mental stamina and patience could only last so long. She began to feel the need for a break, or at least more pleasant conversation. This was also noted by Juno who stood not too far from her superior, keeping up with her bodyguard duties.

"I hope that you are enjoying tonight's amenities."

Turning her gaze to meet the source of the softly spoken remark, Amelia's eyes fell on Prince Caspond Bessarez, who himself was being shadowed by Gustav Montagnés. Their timely arrival seemed to be the change of pace that Amelia needed.

"I am for the most part... I hope the same goes for you~" Amelia smoothly retorted with a nod.

"Indeed. The atmosphere is rather different than most events, and it is a relief to see a time where my sister isn't the focus of the scene. If anyone deserves any rest, it certainly is her." Caspond remarked, closing in the distance between them.

"Shame that it comes in exchange for me and His Majesty Aizen being the center of attention." Amelia chuckled, offering him her hand, so that he could plant a quick a polite kiss upon it.

"I guess that is a downside to it."

"You needn't worry. We can handle these people easily enough. And from what I can tell, so can Her Majesty the Queen."

"Uhm... Yes, I guess she can. Honestly, I am surprised to see such a change in my sister's demeanor. It isn't like I didn't think she had it in her, or that she is a different person, but I feared that something grander would be needed to bring out in her the potential myself and others knew rested within her." Caspond pointed out, with a relieved sigh.

"I'm sure that you have heard what His Majesty Aizen and the Espada have done. Personally, I would see that as 'grand' enough~" The Prime Minister countered with a wry smile, motioning for a waiter to approach them with a platter of glasses.

"Ahem. Indeed. I suppose I should have chosen my words more carefully. Although, I agree that His Majesty is clearly a great man. 'Tis as plain as day that he makes my sister happy, and if anything, that is what really matters."

During this exchange, the waiter approached with his platter. Amelia took two glasses, keeping one for herself while handing the other to the prince, who very graciously took it and then raised it to mimic Amelia as she did the same in a toast. Both then took a sip from their drinks and the Prime Minister let out a little sigh.

"That being said, I must admit that after such a long day, and now having to meet and greet all these people, even I am starting to feel a bit weary."

"That is perfectly understandable, Prime Minister. These social events tend to be surprisingly draining, so no one will judge if you see the need to take a break and go to another area of the building to take moments of solitude." Caspond pointed out with an understanding tone.

"Hearing that does put me at ease. But please, call me Amelia~ We will be working closely soon. And if I may impose, would you mind showing me to where I could take a break? I'm not exactly familiar with this building just yet." Amelia asked with a friendly smile.

"I... do not mind. Please, follow me, and in that case, you may call me Caspond." The prince said, offering his arm for Amelia.

"A lifesaver. Can I count on the Vice-Captain to keep us safe?" She asked, taking the prince's arm and looking back at Gustav.

"Of course." Gustav replied with a nod from both himself and the prince.

"In that case, Juno please go and see to His Majesty Aizen. I'll be fine."

"As... you wish." Juno somewhat reluctantly acknowledged.

With that, Amelia departed from the scene, wanting to indeed take a break, but also seeing this as a chance to see what else she could get from the prince. After all, his support would always be appreciated. Especially when many of the people that were against Calca's reign, had in fact preferred her brother to have been the ruler, so if Amelia got his clear support, she would also have an in when it came to dealing with these people in the future.

Meanwhile, Marquis Bodipo had been using his time to socialize with people as he waited for an opening to speak with King Aizen. He did this by following him as best he could, talking to people all the while he kept an eye and moved along as the King did, getting closer to him with each switch of conversational partners.

Eventually, he saw a clear line between himself and the King, so he straightened his posture, abruptly ended the conversation he was currently had, and moved along with his small entourage towards His Majesty.

"Oh, Marquis Bodipo. I had heard that you were here tonight, but I must admit that I hadn't seen you until now."

The voice came from his right, and it was enough to stop the Marquis in his tracks, as he easily recognized it belonging to the Queen. He cursed the situation silently under his breath, since all the progress he had been making would now be lost. In all honesty, even with her increased convictions, Bodipo wasn't really interested in speaking with Calca. Still, she had addressed him, and she was still the Queen, so he turned and greeted her with a smile. He noted that she was being closely accompanied by Remedios, whose presence only made things worse.

"Good evening, Your Majesty. I hoped to see you too, so that I could personally remark on the importance of today's events." Bodipo respectfully said, giving Calca a quick bow.

"I actually wanted to speak to you about that, since from what I've been told you are acting as the representative of for Southern Nobles for the evening." Calca remarked.

"Indeed, I am. How may I be of service, Your Majesty?" The Marquis asked with a rather self-serving chuckle, as he stroked his beard.

"It is no secret that my reign caused a split in our nation. I won't speak of what transpired after, nor of what may or may not have been if my brother had taken the throne, since he was among those that supported my ascent. As of now, we have in this room a man who has risen to be at by my side as Holy King, and can aid me in moving this nation towards the future. So, I will say this to you, Marquis Bodipo; in order for this nation to open to the world and survive after the attack from Jaldabaoth and the demi-humans, we cannot allow old grudges to fester. I am sure that you understand." Calca said with a serious and determined tone as she steeled her resolve.

"That is certainly true, Your Majesty. I certainly can say that the Holy King and his Espada have brought about a rush of boldness that I had not seen in quite some time. I mean when was the last time we had representatives of four different nations in the same room? Indeed, that is quite the change..." Bodipo remarked, stroking his beard as he briefly paused.

"...Still, that is all fine and good, but the southern peoples need certain assurances, before things can move forward, one way or the other." He then added.

The Marquis was no fool, and even with the Queen's newfound confidence, didn't make up for her overall lack of experience of having to face someone in this manner. From Bodipo's point of view this was perfectly clear. He could see that she was still piecing together things in her head, and was a bit awkward in how she spoke, even if he wouldn't refute the clear confidence and determination in her words.

Remedios could be a problem as her brutish ways may end the conversation abruptly, and that was something he certainly did not want to happen. He knew the importance of sizing up what Calca would currently do, given the changed her marriage had brought about. So the Marquis waited for the brief moment it took Calca to process and respond, his hand still calmly passing through his beard, before a somewhat awkward and forced chuckle escaped the Queen's lips.

"Please, Marquis Bodipo... This is a social gathering. It isn't fitting for us to start discussing politics, or such things as 'assurances'." Calca remarked, using this as a buffer while she decided what to say next.

"That is certainly true. However, you didn't come to speak with me just for that, Your Majesty." He countered, curious as to see what would happen next.

"Quite. So let me open with an assurance of my own; it is my desire to make the Holy Kingdom whole once more. That means I must finally address the actions that you and several others took regarding opposing this nation's ruler. As you can see, I have taken time to develop and strengthen myself, I have a powerful Holy King by my side, and I'm surrounded by powerful and capable individuals. I don't mean to insinuate anything, but I would say that the scales have certainly tipped in my favor. To a considerable degree in fact." Calca said, pausing as the Marquis froze, raising an eyebrow at her.

"Please, do not interpret this as a type of threat. I understand that the North needs the power and influence held by its people of influence, and I do not intend to weaken that power, since it would be of less use in the future. Yet, as things currently stand, be it in political influence or pure strength, the South no longer holds all the cards. But if we were to work together, I am certain that we all could benefit. Especially those that took the initiative in this process. So my goal Marquis, was to make my intentions clear, and ask for you to send them back to the rest of the Southern Noble Alliance, so that in the future we could organize official talks."

"..."

As Queen Calca finished speaking, she smiled sweetly and waited for the Marquis to react. All the while doing her very best to keep her composure, even if her heart was pounding like a drum within her bosom from the sheer pressure of the situation. Her only hope now was that she had said everything convincingly, just like Aizen and Kelart had advised her to.

"...You make a 'compelling' case for talks to be held, Your Majesty. And it is true that for the plan to open the nation to the world, will only fully succeed with the joint efforts of the North and South. Indeed, recent events have certainly balanced both sides of our nation. So, you can be assured that I won't be the one to halt progress and risk harming our great nation. If you wish for me to send word back to the South, it shall be done." Bodipo remarked, going back to stroking his beard.

"That is just what I wanted to hear, Marquis. I thank you for your time and assistance. I'm sure that it will do us much good in the future. Unless you have anything else you need to discuss, I think we should part ways for now."

"I don't wish to hold you. It was a pleasure speaking with you, Your Majesty." He said, bowing as Calca and Remedios departed.

As he continued to stroke his beard, Bodipo watched Calca walk away, certainly surprised and taken aback by this newfound boldness in the Queen. While still green in dealing with the more subtle aspects of politics and asserting her Royal influence, she was certainly developing in a fierce direction. Once again, he was thankful for having been the one come and see this event, as he was sure many of his fellows would have ruined it, and thus robbed him of the benefits that would come from being the one to mediate this situation.

Despite being set in his ways in many respects, Marquis Bodipo was no fool. He knew that with this exchange and agreement to aid the Queen, they would certainly bring him benefits in the future, and at the very least, it would save him from whatever wrath would be rained down upon him otherwise if he didn't make his cooperation clear from the outset.

"Is everything alright, my lord?" His bodyguard Leoncio asked.

"Ah, indeed, it is. But I must admit, I never dreamed that the potential for such fire resided within Her Majesty. If anything, I say that coming here today has proven a to be great boon. It certainly allowed us to dodge an arrow as it were. But we can muse on that as we return home. We are leaving." Bodipo declared, starting to walk out of the hall with an energized gait.

"So soon?" One of his assistants asked.

"Indeed. There is no time to waste. A great change is soon to happen upon this nation, and I certainly won't be left behind by it~" The Marquis said as he smirked and stroked his beard.

In another area Aizen, who had for the most part been by himself as he went around greeting other guests, was now being shadowed by Juno after obeying Amelia's instructions and looked over him until Amelia returned. Currently, Aizen just finished speaking with a noble couple from the north, and walked away as he turned right into another conversation. This was between a group of four men, headed by an older noble known for being rather meek and awkward in these types of social occasions.

It was due to this and the more distinct looks of the three gentlemen, that Aizen's focus was truly on the others. While they wore garments fitting for an event like this, they had a certain detached, uninterested feel about them. In addition, Aizen could feel some noteworthy power, at least for this world's standards, coming from one, and to his pleasant surprise, Espada-level power coming from the other.

The one leading this trio was slightly overweight, bald, and had a certain noble look about him, but was clearly the less interesting of the group. The first whose power was considerable for this world's standards had blond hair and red eyes, and clearly held some kind of familial connection to pre-merger Clementine given his features. The strongest of the group, who was the only one carrying a visible weapon in the form of a sword despite his more refined attire like many other personal bodyguards, had long black hair and red eyes.

However, this was as Aizen perceived them, because given the aura around them it was clear that they were using magic to make themselves look different to those around them. Though it was clear it was via methods that were not on a level to escape the Shinigami's senses.

"Good evening, Your Majesty. I would like to introduce to you to some acquaintances."

The old noble greeted the King, and promptly stepped aside to let the trio that he had clearly been charged with introducing step forward to present themselves before the King and greet him with a respectful bow.

"And to who do I owe the pleasure?" Aizen politely asked, giving them a nod.

"..." The older noble went to speak, when the more overweight man politely spoke up.

"I thank you for the introduction, my lord. But I think that we can take it from here." The man said, with a polite yet superior tone.

"Oh? I see... Alright then."

The old noble seemed unfazed, and giving the group a slight bow, he seemed to look around for a moment until his eyes finally fell on his other escorts and he made his way to them. This left the trio to speak with Aizen and Juno, the latter of whom had picked up on the power of those two in the trio and was just a few feet away.

"My name is Agostino. I understand that this is an event to celebrate both your success, as well of that of the new Prime Minister. We certainly offer you our congratulations and respect, but if I may be so bold, I would like to speak with you, preferably privately, regarding employing the Espada for an admittedly complex, but well-paid venture." The man explained.

"I see. That is certainly a bold request, given the fact that the Espada's role in the Roble Holy Kingdom is becoming a long-term one. If you wish to discuss such things, perhaps I am not the one to speak to. You would need to speak with..." Aizen began, when the man lifted a hand much to the surprise of his two companions.

"I do not wish to be rude Your Majesty, but from what I have learned regarding the history of the Espada and what my experience tells me, is that despite everything no one that wasn't yourself ever had a final say in matters. So, why not take this opportunity, given how jovial the evening is, to calmly discuss such matters?"

"Hoh? Perhaps... May I first know from where you hail?" The King asked, putting on a tone as if the man's argument had moved him.

"Oh, but of course. My apologies. I should have opened my proposal with that. I hail from the Slane Theocracy..." Agostino informed, when the King spoke over him showing some surprise.

"The Theocracy, you say? I must admit that we haven't exactly done much business with your nation. Though that's mostly due to it seemingly not requiring the Espada's services, so I must admit to some curiosity." Aizen admitted with a friendly smile.

"Exactly. We rarely need outside help, but those times do come to us all, and having heard so much of what the Espada and yourself, I thought that there would be no better option. So, shall we perhaps take this matter somewhere private?"

"Your Majesty, perhaps it would be best not to do so." Juno spoke up, approaching her superior.

"Please be at ease, Juno. I doubt there is any reason for concern. After all, we are just talking, correct?" Aizen remarked, looking at Agostino and his associates.

"Indeed, Your Majesty." The man chuckled, along with some muffled chuckles from his associates.

"Not only that, but I would like for you to remain here in case Amelia returns. But do send word to Annika so that she can join me upstairs."

Juno seemed somewhat reluctant, since she too could see through the magical disguises of the two stronger individuals. Her eyes briefly went to the long haired, red-eyed man in particular, before letting out a low growl and bowing before Aizen, before she departed. On his end, Aizen simply gave the trio a calming smile as he led them upstairs to where more private quarters for meetings could be found.

After some walking, Aizen finally came upon an unoccupied room, but before entering, they waited for about a minute before being joined by the Segunda Espada, Annika Masador Aenar. The three were immediately presented with her overwhelming beauty highlighted by her crimson dress, presenting ample cleavage, and was opened on the sides so that her legs could move freely. Needless to say, the trio from the Theocracy was to different extents, stunned by her presence.

"You called for me, Your Majesty~?" Annika asked, gracing them with a smile and a bow.

"Indeed, I did. I think it is only fair that I do have someone with me for this discussion. I would also imagine that it would be only fair for one of your own to wait outside. What do you say, Agostino?" Aizen placatingly explained.

"Agreed. I have no issues with leaving one of my men to guard our meeting from interruption."

"We appreciate your understanding.~" Annika remarked with a enchanting smile.

As expected, Agostino left behind the blond, with himself and his bodyguard following after the Holy King, who entered first with Annika. The Espada was quick to find a light source for the room, while the bodyguard closed the door behind them. Both officials took seats opposite couches placed around a table in the middle of the room and took opposite seats.

Annika then found a cabinet with drinks that she offered the men, with Agostino accepting and eagerly partaking of it. Aizen accepted but left it untouched on the table before him, while the bodyguard declined. She then placed herself behind Aizen, mimicking Agostino's bodyguard.

"I suppose this is an isolated enough location. What is it that the Espada can do for you?" Aizen asked with a friendly, yet also formal tone.

"Like many other nations, we heard about your efforts in the Dragon Kingdom. Despite the fact that almost all our men there died, what the Espada managed to achieve is nothing less than extraordinary. So, I propose that the Espada to do the same for us in our own conflict with the Elf Country." Agostino replied in a business-like manner.

"A rather bold request, given who you are speaking to, be it me or the Segunda Espada. The Espada's role in the Roble Holy Kingdom is changing and solidifying into something that will no longer be the mercenary company it was. Then there is the fact that as Holy King, if I or those handling the Espada's offers, were to accept such a request, they would be seen as supporting the Theocracy in a rather harsh war against another humanoid race. This is hardly the same as dealing with Beastman Nation or Jaldabaoth's Demi-Human Alliance." Aizen calmly argued.

"Ah, with all due respect Your Majesty, this isn't a 'harsh war'. It is a measured response to their actions. Though I do understand that you have an image to maintain. However, as Her Majesty Bessarez said, the Holy Kingdom needs resources to recover and move forward. Something that I could help with in the Theocracy delivering, if the Espada can be hired. Also, I must point out that there is no need for the Espada to be open about their involvement." Agostino added, taking a sip from his cup, as Aizen lightly chuckled in humor.

"Though I may be new to the international stage as a monarch, I am not so easily enticed, even with possible aid from the Theocracy. If in the future the Queen and I decide to extend a hand to discuss matters with your leaders, we will. And if the Theocracy wishes to do the same, I am certain they will let us know. However, that will not move me on my current stance. Nor does that adequate obfuscate the fact that the Espada would serve the Theocracy during its war. Of course, it should go without saying that no one under my influence will think otherwise... Now that has been settled, shall we not change the subject?" Aizen asked with a cunning smirk.

"Excuse me? Forgive me Your Majesty, but I'm afraid that don't follow." Agostino spoke in consternation at his efforts being so readily rebuffed, and then confusion at his words.

"Ku-fufufu... You don't seem to, but your bodyguard does." Annika replied with an amused chuckle.

"What do you mean?"

Agostino was genuinely confused as he looked upon both the Holy King and Espada, and then at his bodyguard and then back at the duo. Then his bodyguard wearily sighed as he spoke.

"It doesn't matter. Leave us."

"W-What? But my instructions were to..." the man tried to argue, but his "subordinate" spoke over him.

"You did what was needed. Now leave us and wait outside. I expect Annika will do the same."

"Naturally. But she won't be going far." Aizen replied with a knowing smile.

With that Annika escorted out a confused and somewhat outraged Agostino, closing the door behind her as she did. Aizen remained in his seat, as the "bodyguard" took the seat that had previously belonged to his "superior".

"You can remove the disguise if you wish. It makes no difference to me, Captain." Aizen informed as he took a single sip from his drink.

"I'm afraid that I am not permitted to do so during this mission, your Majesty."

"Oh? Very well then."

Aizen smirked and waited, while the man sitting opposite to him seemed to squirm in his seat, even it was quite subtle, and nearly imperceptible by the average individual. The Shinigami knew him to be the Captain of the Black Scripture, Marcus Septimius Amor, thanks to all of the information Clementine had given him after her "recruitment". Naturally, this meant he knew the blond man was Quaiesse Hazia Quintia, 5th-Seat of the Black Scripture, and Clementine's older brother.

"So, you know who I am?" Marcus asked with keen eyes.

"Indeed, I have a reasonable idea as to who you are. I could speak your name, but since you are required to keep the disguise, I imagine that you would prefer me to not speak it aloud." Aizen replied with an amused smile.

"That is indeed the case, Your Majesty. Am I to assume that you knew from the start?"

"I did. Illusions of that level are not enough to fool me. And now that we got the topic of a 'job' for the Espada out of the way, I am far more interested in knowing the real reason of what brings someone like you here." The Holy King explained, leaning back on his seat.

"..."

Marcus was stunned by all that happened in this meeting. Indeed, the information that came to them spoke of how Aizen and the Espada had almost single-handedly pushed back the Demi-Human Alliance, but to come here and feel how powerful the 4th and 2nd-ranked Espada were beings compared to himself and Zesshi, along with the clear presence the King currently had, it went well beyond what the Cardinals had initially speculated.

What was more in-line with their speculations was how the new Holy King was a cunning and highly intelligent individual, and this was clearly true and more so than expected. They hadn't planned for their magically conjured disguises to be so "easily" seen through, and they certainly weren't expecting for Aizen to know who Marcus was.

This was greatly concerning, and even more so when it was made clear that there was no way to employ a "quick fix" to this situation. Not when the level of power at play was this close to that of Marcus. Not to mention how this man who bore such a pleasant, yet unsettling smile, looked as if he could see though him, giving off a superior air had him completely on-guard.

"First let me apologize for any rudeness on 'Agostino's' part, as he was told a certain version of events and facts, but it was a necessary approach. Regarding what he offered, I can also assure you that it was not in jest, nor was it a fabrication." Marcus pointed out.

"I'm sure that no one would mind if I were to agree to your terms." Aizen chuckled in ironic humor, getting genuine amusement from this turn of events.

"Yes, I'm sure many would be pleased by that. But as it was said before, this war is the result of their actions."

"I am aware. That being said, I doubt the Theocracy will only want to settle things, and not take the extra step with their 'non-human' opponents. That aside, let us speak frankly and get to the real heart of the matter; what else do you want of me?"

"I... must admit that you are certainly... receptive, Your Majesty. So I'm certain you can easily imagine why someone like me was assigned to Agostino to make his approach. Everyone is curious about Roble's new Holy King, and when weighing between yourself and those of the Sorcerer Kingdom, it was decided that you would be the easiest to approach and speak with." The Captain of the Black Scripture explained.

"A wise move on the Theocracy's part. Who knows how the Sorcerer Kingdom would have greeted you. Nor how your people would have acted when surrounded by so many undead and non-humans. But know that I'm not in a position to give you any information about myself, or this nation. I'm sure it is understandable, given the false pretenses used to begin this dialogue."

Marcus again was taken aback, genuinely surprised, and even oddly relieved to see Aizen so promptly use the fact that they had made the conversation private against them. It helped to reinforce that this man was no fool, and a cunning and calculating individual. That the Espada wouldn't accept the assignment, be it for political or moral reasons was expected.

Since coin was not even being considered told them that Aizen and Amelia must have already amassed a considerable amount of wealth by now, and that was even before considering their newly gained access to Roble's resources. The other objective was to try to see the Espada in their "natural habitat", as one of the Cardinals put it, so as to gain a more faithful portrayal of what they were like.

This was achieved with Amelia, as from what they saw at a distance, she possessed no combat potential. Meanwhile, Marcus was able to get a feel for two of the Espada and Aizen was clearly a very dangerous and powerful individual in his own right. So in that vein, the mission was a success, and now all that remained was to figure out a polite way to end the evening.

"If I may so say so Your Majesty, for someone that has been in the open for only a few years, you certainly are very capable and fierce. I doubt there are that many that would have been able ascertain all of this, and from comparably little." Marcus admitted in open respect.

"Are you trying to achieve anything with this continued politeness?" Aizen asked with a smirk, clearly amused by the exchange.

"It is merely proper etiquette, You Majesty. Is there any other correct way to address someone of your standing?"

"Fair enough. Certainly, at times proper wording and etiquette, can do more than a great strike or spell. Still, since your agent attained and used the chance to try and recruit me, I think it is only fair I try the same. From what I can see of you Captain, you are certainly a capable young man that has yet to reach his full potential and come into his own. So I would like to offer you a chance to do exactly so, with the Espada."

"...!"

Taken aback by the offer, Marcus leaned back on his seat and did his best to keep his mouth closed. His face reddened slightly from both anger at Aizen's audacity, and from hearing such open and genuine praise of him. It wasn't like he never received praise, but Theocracy etiquette made such displays moderate and passing more often than not. Especially when as Captain of the Black Scripture he was expected to deliver results and proper behavior.

"I... Do you understand what you just said?" Marcus suddenly inquired, internally flustered by the boldness of the request but still physically composed.

"It's not that different from what you offered me. No matter what turn or explanation things took, it would still come down to the Holy King of Roble, accepting a nation's request to send his forces to the Theocracy's aid and oppose the Elf Country. We would win the Theocracy, but lose any chance we had with any nation that wasn't mainly human. Given our recent inroads with the Merfolks, that is the last thing we wish." Aizen promptly and logically argued.

"Whatever the case... I can only thank you for the offer and consideration, and naturally refuse such an offer. I am loyal to my nation, I would never consider such a thing." The Captain said, taking on a much more stern tone.

"That's perfectly understandable. Anything else you would like to know that I could tell you, or is this enough?"

"You have said and made clear much as it is, Your Majesty. Honestly, I think this meeting has shed more light on things than originally expected. So if you'll allow it, I think it is time for my party and I to depart." Marcus informed, now with a much more calm and formal tone.

"You can leave whenever you wish, but I would suggest that you and yours depart the event entirely. But enjoy your drink first." Aizen softly suggested, motioning for the glass still resting in-front of Marcus.

"My apologies, but I don't drink alcohol."

"This is a night of celebration, I'm sure even you can relax after a successful mission, Captain. I won't tell, if that is your concern." Aizen chuckled, before picking up his glass and taking a quick sip from his.

"..."

Again, Marcus eyed the Holy King curiously and then back at his glass. He was confused as to what Aizen's intentions were. While he was reasonably certain the drink wasn't poisoned, as Agostino had partaken of drink without ill effects, it still left him with the question, why would the King be so insistent?

In all honesty, the Captain felt during the entire exchange, especially with this and the offer, that Aizen had not been exactly demeaning, but was clearly talking to him as someone younger, and even naïve. This fact alone was enough to leave the Captain wondering if Aizen was still trying to pull him towards his side. This feeling was heightened when Marcus briefly found himself thinking of what the drink would taste like, as he had never really tried alcoholic spirits. His duties kept him from such things, for the sake of his lineage and image.

"...I appreciate the offer. But I must politely decline." Marcus respectfully said, rising to his feet.

"Of course. I hope you enjoyed your stay here and your trip home is a safe one." Aizen said, getting to his feet as well.

"Thank you. And may your reign be prosperous."

Giving a final, courteous bow, Marcus walked to the door, then knocked on and opened it, as he emerged from the room to be greeted by Annika and his two companions. Giving the Espada a polite nod and motioning for his companions to start walking, Marcus departed from the area and the building entirely, with his destination being the Theocracy, where he would make his report on what he had learned about Aizen and the Espada.

The rest of the evening went on without incident and was seen as a success for all, as to some extent everyone was able to progress their agendas and interests. Once things came to a close, everyone went back home, with Amelia accepting the Prince's offer to spend a little more of the evening being shown to her new official residence, which was a manor not far from the Royal Palace.

There she would then turn in for the rest of the night, with the Prince also staying there in another room out of convenience. Calca and Aizen naturally returned to the Royal Palace, where the Queen ended her day by falling asleep in her lovers arms after quite some time of venting her nervousness at the events that had transpired during the day in various ways.

The following day was by no means less eventful, as it marked the first official meeting between its leaders and Prime Minister, with Prince Caspond's added presence, the Twin Wings, and the 4th-Espada Juno. On a political level, a very grand and unexpected event came to the Roble Holy Kingdom's people, quickly raising the port city of Rimun's security level, and sprung into action Espadas Annika and Jillur whom were in the area, expecting this per Aizen's instructions.

This matter was significant enough to interrupt the royal meeting, which took place in a rather large and well-lit room in the palace, with everyone except Juno and Remedios sitting around a rectangular table, and the interruption taking the form of Annika, Gustav Montagnés, and four Paladins apologetically entering the room and closing the door behind them.

"What is the meaning of this?" Growled Remedios.

"We apologize for the sudden interruption, Your Majesties, but we've urgent news from Rimun. Two representatives from the Sorcerer Kingdom have arrived in the city upon a... a... Frost Dragon mount." Gustav informed, parsing the words even as they left his lips.

"Actually, it could be said that is techincally three representatives, as their leader was being followed by a Shadow Demon~" Annika calmly and nonchalantly added with a smile.

"The Sorcerer Kingdom!?" Calca gasped in shock.

The presence of non-humans in their lands was certainly a worrying thing, especially one from a nation that was known to have committed such an atrocious massacre upon the Re-Estize Kingdom. Even if it was a war, the levels of death incurred were at heretofore unprecedented levels that shook all that could gain accurate information about it.

The concern was clear in the faces of Calca and Caspond, and while Kelart looked calm, she was also pondering on what this could mean. Meanwhile Aizen and Amelia looked as composed as ever, since they knew what was going on, but to the average observer, they acted as the calm, consummate professionals they were known to be.

"Please be at ease. According to their leader, who I've transported to the capital just in case, they wish to offer the chance to open diplomatic dialogue." Annika informed in a more placating tone.

"Lies. They can't be trusted. And it is also questionable how you were so keen on knowing what that demon was." Remedios argued, glaring at Annika.

"Annika was once a holy woman of the Temple of the Four Great Gods. It only makes sense that she would know what things seek to corrupt good." Amelia explained, surprising a few people in the room as the Espada didn't really have the look of a "holy woman".

"This is unexpected, sister. We have yet a chance to even spread word about our change in policies or extend a branch to any of our neighboring nations and we already have an offer for diplomatic relations, and from such an... unexpected nation." Caspond contemplatively remarked.

"Speaking in all fairness, currently neither the Re-Estize Kingdom nor the Baharuth Empire are in any condition to expand. The Argland Council State have always been careful and deliberate in their actions, and there is little chance for word to have reached them yet. The Sorcerer Kingdom in a way, are the closest and more open nation within reach." Kelart pointed out as she processed these surprising events.

"When you put it like that... I suppose it makes sense..." Calca said as Aizen took her hand to calm her.

"...I'm fine, my love. It is just a lot to take in that the day after we make a decision to open ourselves to the world, such a new and powerful nation would be at our doorstep wishing to talk." Calca chuckled, giving a kiss to her husband's hand before pulling away.

"Does that mean you are considering listening to what they have to say, Your Majesty?" Kelart asked, doing her best to hide her curiosity.

"Nonsense, they can't be trusted." Remedios indignantly countered.

"Please be still and let her think." Caspond ordered, with a soft and stern tone.

"Our apologies."

"I have no issue with the nature of the Sorcerer Kingdom's non-human inhabitants. For me, that isn't an issue. While their actions at the Katze Plains are certainly monstrous, I still believe that as things stand, the least we can do is allow this messenger in so that we know what we have to consider." Calca calmly declared.

"Very nicely put." Aizen said, briefly smiling at how she asserted herself.

"Agreed. Very good." Caspond added with pride at his sister, as Kelart nodded in approval.

"What does the Prime Minister's thoughts on this matter?" Calca asked.

"I couldn't have put it better myself, Your Majesty. We should also see what else is being offered under the veil of 'diplomatic dialogue'. I believe that this is an opportunity that we would do well to take advantage of." Amelia replied.

"Then it is decided. Please, bring the messenger here."

Giving the room a bow, Annika left to retrieve the messenger, returning in about 10-minutes as she avoided using magic for this to make sure that everyone they walked past saw and was curious about the strange individual. When she returned to the meeting room, she brought the messenger and the cloaked form of Jillur.

The Shadow Demon was not present, as it had remained near the Frost Dragon when it felt the Espada's eyes upon it's form. The messenger looked human, but to those with keen senses like Aizen, Amelia, and the Espada, it was in fact a Doppelgänger, that for the rest of those in the room looked like a blond individual with blue eyes that was wearing expensive garments.

"I have brought the messenger, Your Majesties~" Annika announced with an elegant bow.

"I apologize for the disturbance, but I am here upon the command of my great Sorcerer King, Ainz Ooal Gown." the messenger informed, giving the room a polite bow.

"On behalf of the Roble Holy Kingdom, I welcome you to our nation. To whom do I have the pleasure of speaking?" Calca asked with a friendly smile.

"Ah, my apologies, Your Majesty. This one's name is Claude Raunales."

"Then, despite the rather sudden arrival upon Dragon's back, I shall echo my Queen's sentiments, and welcome you, Claude Raunales. You may speak freely about what 'command' the Sorcerer King gave you." Aizen said in a regal manner.

"Certainly, Your Majesty. Now, despite how relatively young the Sorcerer Kingdom is now, the Sorcerer King and his vassals long established a reliable information network. Through it, we became aware of Roble's current situation regarding the repelled attack by the Demon Emperor and the damage it inflicted. Especially to the Great Wall that kept hostile Demi-Humans at bay. Upon seeing this, His Majesty Ainz Ooal Gown has decided that it could be favorable for both sides to have an official dialogue. For this reason, he requests that ambassadors be allowed to arrive and discuss what I'm sure both sides hope to be a long and fruitful relationship." Claude announced, before giving the room another respectful bow, patiently waiting for their reply.

The messenger was certainly polite and well spoken, and his offer left the room in silence, as one may expect from the sudden and important information that Claude just delivered. As the room processed what was said, it was clear from his disposition that he wanted to add something but was holding back until addressed.

"You may resume." Amelia said in a courteous tone.

"My thanks, my lady. I also brought with me a missive with the terms for the opening of diplomatic relations that I was tasked in delivering." Claude informed, reaching into his long-coat to retrieve the scroll when Remedios suddenly and aggressively spoke up.

"Don't pull anything funny."

"Madam~! I wouldn't dare do such a thing. It's just a scroll." Claude chuckled, pulling out the aforementioned scroll that had the seal of the Sorcerer Kingdom upon it.

"Juno can you bring it here?" Aizen asked.

"Of course."

Walking up to the messenger, Juno was handed the scroll, which she then offered to Calca, as Aizen motioned for her to do so. The Queen then broke the seal and unfurled the scroll to read it. As she did so, a thought occurred to her as she then spoke.

"Actually, perhaps it would be for the best if Claude waits outside while we deliberate this scroll's contents. The Espada will be tasked with keeping him company."

"As you wish." Annika said, giving her a bow and motioning for Claude to leave.

The messenger did as instructed, giving everyone a head-bow as he followed after Annika and Jillur. Once he was gone, Calca took her time to carefully read the missive's contents, before summarizing it for those in the meeting room.

Simply put, it detailed how the Sorcerer Kingdom wished the opening of dialogue between their official representatives and three of its ambassador's handpicked by the Sorcerer King. The missive also addressed how the Sorcerer King was aware of Roble's need for resources, both in terms of foodstuffs and materiel.

In a show of good faith, the Sorcerer Kingdom was willing to provide such goods within reason to its beleaguered neighbor, and would even provide a force of undead labor to reduce costs. It noted how such undead labor didn't tire and required little in maintenance, and pointed out how it was used to great effect in their own lands to produce crops and retrieve resources. In return the Sorcerer Kingdom requested a formalized relationship between their nations, which included the opening of trade routes, and the creation of an embassy in the city of Rimun.

"How dare they..." Remedios angrily began, when Kelart firmly spoke up.

"Not now, sister."

"It's intriguing to be certain. To ask for an embassy though... I wonder what the people will think." Caspond sighed, massaging his forehead at the implications.

"That isn't the biggest issue, Caspond. If suitable facilities aren't available, they can be built, and as things stand, if it needs to be built, it will probably be with their own resources. But with our permissions and supervision of course. That aside, your concern with what the people will think is a fair issue, but one I think that can be mitigated by a good speech from the Holy King or Queen. After all, their approval is at an all-time high among the nobles and commonfolk alike." Amelia argued with a confident tone.

"Uhm? I did not know you two were on a first name basis." Calca chuckled in a low tone and smile, turning to her brother.

"T-That's not important right now." Caspond argued, recomposing himself after clearing his throat.

"Agreed. And Amelia is correct. With the right presentation of the opening of relations with the Sorcerer Kingdom, speeches, and time, we can convince the population of Rimun to accept their presence." Aizen pointed out.

"In that case, shouldn't we ask for an embassy too?" Remedios added her arms crossed, pleasantly surprising all present with her making such a sound and logical suggestion.

"My sister is correct. We could add that as a counteroffer in our reply. Rimun is an important city for us, and given the smaller size of their nation, even considering their relationship with the Baharuth Empire, we should ask for an embassy in their capital of E-Rantel." Kelart professionally suggested.

"I think we can also push for another embassy in the Empire, but an embassy for an embassy does sound like a fair exchange." Amelia thoughtfully mused.

"Agreed. What about their other terms? I can also imagine that we will need to convince the population of accepting the presence of undead labor, and beings of negative energy will need to be carefully monitored, but we can't deny the value of workers that won't tire." Calca pointed out in a surprising display of pragmatism.

"But that goes against the principles of our nation, Your Majesty! Please reconsider." Remedios argued in a flustered state.

"I... must agree. Isn't it too much of a change? It is fair with the embassy only being in one city. And even disregarding for a moment that the use of undead labor would be antithetical to our Temple's and nation's teachings and philosophy, the use of such labor in a populated area isn't wise, nor would it be prudent. Such labor would be better suited to repairing the Great Wall." Caspond mused.

"But Her Majesty's train of thought is correct. We indeed have people that can do the work, but we can't forget that many are still gathering their bearings from the Jaldabaoth's attack. We are talking about massive losses, even with all the help we had from the Espada. To gain labor from outside to us, especially those that don't need too much maintenance, and lessens our need to mobilize people from their homes, is a benefit in the long run. Even if it goes against some of the nation's long-standing views on undead." Kelart countered, shocking some of those present that a High Priestess of the Temples would say such a thing, her sister included.

"W-What!? How can you say such a thing sister? And... what? We just throw away what we've defended for so long!? To just let some undead walk into our lands!?" Remedios growled.

"That's enough, Remedios. Calca and Kelart are correct. Now is not the time to let the past and dogmatic doctrines define what we do going forward. As we announced before, the Roble Holy Kingdom is changing. If that means that we be more open-minded as to who our allies are, and what labor we use to recover from our people's recently inflicted hardships, then this isn't a bad thing. It will only benefit us." Amelia plainly said.

"What did..." Remedios tried to growl, when Aizen interrupted her.

"Hold your tongue, Remedios. That is no way to speak to the Prime Minister. I also happen to agree with them. Now isn't the time to be picky."

Amelia held back a chuckle but didn't put as much effort into hiding that she enjoyed what just happened. After that exchange, the room was silent for a bit as Remedios was frozen in place, her body tense as she did her best to "behave", and not let her rage seep through. She just could not understand how those present, her sister and Queen included of all people, would be so open to allowing undead of all things into their nation.

It went against everything their nation and Temples stood for. Yes, the damage was extensive, but could they not just order those of their southern half to aid in recovery efforts? She simply couldn't fathom how it could come to this, nor could she understand how she was seemingly alone in objecting. Of course, as a hardline paladin with a simple black/white world view that did not allow for compromise, this didn't surprise anyone present.

"If are agreed on the labor, I also assume that we likewise agree on exchanging trade routes for their aid in resources?" Calca softly asked.

"Well, while I do recommend we use a measure of skepticism in what else they may ask for in exchange for their 'aid', I think we all agree." Amelia remarked, along with nods from the rest.

"In that case, I say we have this meeting take place in about a week's time, to allow us to reach out to the population." Aizen calmly suggested.

"That sounds good. I have no objections." Caspond matter-of-factly replied.

"Agreed." Kelart and Amelia said in unison.

"Good~! In that case, Kelart please prepare our own missive for Claude to take back with him." Calca instructed.

The missive was simple enough, and done efficiently as Kelart was more than used to creating such things, back when her friend and Queen was less active in the nation's politics. It only took her a few minutes to write it, read it aloud for everyone to approve, and have the scroll signed by both the Holy Queen and King. Once it was wrapped and sealed, Claude and the Espada recalled, with Juno walking up to the messenger and giving him their newly made reply.

"The details are in our missive, but we have agreed to a discussion. Even if we do have some counterpoints as to what was being offered. So we expect for you to deliver this missive into your liege's hands promptly, and that the meeting will be a pleasant one." Calca informed in a pleasant tone and manner.

"I'm sure it will, Your Majesty. I thank you for your positive reply. May I have leave to depart?" Claude cordially asked.

"You may. Annika and Jillur will escort you back to Rimun." Aizen replied with a pleasant smile.

A final round of pleasantries were exchanged before the Espada and Claude departed, leaving the rest of the room to ponder and congratulate themselves on such a fortunate and hopefully profitable endeavor that came to them. All the while Aizen and Amelia were pleased to see that things were going according to plan with what had been discussed with Ainz.

It was just another piece that, along with the reforging of a true alliance with the Roble Holy Kingdom's southern half, that would not only solidify the future of their nation, but all that Aizen and Amelia had been working towards. Leaving the pair to wonder just when and how Nazarick's Guardian Overseer would try to move against them. A thought that made each of them smile, with none present the wiser.
