The week passed quickly, and in no time the it was the morning of the UA entrance exam. It was a bright morning with a hint of clouds. Daichi and Mio stood at their front door in their school uniform. "Well guys this is the big day," their mother stood in a yellow top and jeans smiling with her hands on her hips. "Please actually get in you guys," she clasped her hands. "We'll obviously get in, like if we don't get in, we might as well just end it," Mio boldly claimed, shrugging her shoulders. "Language cariño," she chirped. "Why are you even bringing up failure? You're only manifesting it into reality," Daichi chimed in. "Well I'm just" rudely cut off by Mio. "No need to look out for us when I'm the one who's going to surpass you!" she exclaimed, whilst sticking her tongue out "Plus we can handle ourselves nowadays. We are 16, just relax, you don't need to baby us," Daichi added on. The pro hero sighed and thought "It's the rebellious phase nowadays isn't it," speaking out loud now "Well just be careful then," giving them one last piece of advice as they began leaving. The two turned back, smiling. "We will!" They both exclaimed as they were now walking off. The mother smiled. "Well it's all in their hands now," she closed the door and went back inside.
Around an hour later, the two had arrived at UA. The building was massive, but also a bit on the nose. The two walked around, noticing a bunch of faces. Mio noticed a bird man standing in a dark corner. She also couldn't not notice a silver haired man constantly shouting. Daichi noticed a green, bushy haired, kind of scrawny looking kid as well as a pink skinned girl with racoon eyes and horns. The two were kind of unsure what to do here. Do they try to make some friends? But if they do, what if their new friend doesn't even get into the school. Do they scope out the competition? But it's hard to do that as the scrawniest kid could have the most powerful quirk. So they were stuck in a limbo and were just standing there. Thankfully, the gates out of Hell opened when the competitors were called inside.
The day started off with a written exam to make sure they didn't let completely incompetent people into the school. After it, the yellow haired sunglass wearing hero, Present Mic, explained the second half of the exam a battle portion. He explained that their goal was to take down as many robots as possible, and each was worth a different amount being 1, 2, and 3. Mio took note as what she'd describe as a blue haired geek commenting on some mistake or something on the sheet. "With all due respect if this is a mistake on UA official material, it is shameful" he was cut off by Mio. "Bro its not that big of a deal," she is exasperated. "Really seems like you should've woken up on the right side of the bed or maybe just shouldn't have woken up at all," she quipped, this got a laugh from quite a few people. The blue haired boy turned back and faced Mio, making some robotic motions. "And as for you, Miss, a prestigious school like the one we are currently in does not accept delinquency!" he exclaimed. Mio looked from left to right and then pointed to herself, confused. "Me?" she quite ignorantly asked. "Yes you, who else would I be talking to. Your tie is half done, your shirt is half tucked in, and worst of all, you have a crisp wrapper on your desk. Please, do you not have any respect for your surroundings!" Mio got mad quickly, stretching herself over her seat about to pounce at him. "I'll show u no respect!" she growled about to jump, but Daichi quickly intervened, holding her in the Heimlich manoeuvre as she tried clawing out. "Whoa no fights, it isn't even our first day," Daichi tried to reason, attempting to calm her down, especially seeing as she was making a big scene. "Now Now! Kids settle down! As for your question the fourth robot is worth zero points and is just an obstacle which we'll throw your way, it's not impossible to take down but there's really no point," said the teacher finally gaining control back of the room. "Thank you, sir! I apologise for my ignorance!" he shouted whilst bowing. Present Mic then dismissed them off to the second portion of their exam.
They each took a different bus to a different sight. Daichi was a part of group B, so he was taken to the group B location, which, like the rest, was a miniature city, Whilst Mio was a part of group D. They had the opportunity to change into some casual clothes. Mio chose to wear a blue hoodie which said live like the sea, as well as some black shorts which went to just above her knee and black leggings underneath, the design was completed with some white and blue trainers. Daichi decided to wear a thin unzipped black jacket, underneath rested a white shirt with a green stripe going across the centre. He had black jogging bottoms on with two long, white stripes on each leg , finished off with some white and green trainers.
Daichi watched as everyone gave death stares to some green haired kid who was talking to the so-called blue haired geek from before. Before he knew it, the exam started. Everyone rushed out to get the robots first, but Daichi easily sped past them. "What the hell does that guy have a speed quirk?" One examinee more complained then asked. Daichi turned around and smirked. "No all natural,"
Suddenly, a robot appeared. It seemed to be a 1 point bot. Everyone attempted to launch their quirks, but Daichi beat them to it. He thrusted his arms into the ground, and the terrain changed. The robot and the two robots behind it were impaled by a huge jagged spike which came up from the Earth and shot forward at an about 28 degrees angle, this meant three points were already to Daichi's name.
Daichi: Quirk- Quake. With Quake, he can manipulate the ground as long as he's touching it and can manipulate a larger amount depending on how much of his body is touching the ground. This quirk also gives him super strength in addition to his base already insane strength. His additional strength is indicated by his glowing yellow fists.
Meanwhile, in Group D, Mio was having a fun time. Grinning whilst making swift work defeating dozens of robots by using her athletic ability combined with her quirk.
Mio: Quirk – Splash. Splash allows her to manipulate water, but water is quite weak, so she combines it with her athletic technique constantly spinning and flipping to gain momentum and deal out some devastating kicks.Mio continuing on her streak, launched a fly kick at a robot, but was beaten to it by BOOM. An orange explosion covered her view. Once the smoke cleared, she saw a red eyed, blonde, spikey haired boy wearing a black vest. She yelled at the boy "Hey stop stealing my kills!" she pointed at him boldly. "YOUR KILL!?" He shouted back even louder "If it was yours, I wouldn't have gotten it!" Mio was admittedly taken back for a short second. "I was getting ready to kick him long before you got here!" She retorted back. "THEN HOW THE HELL IS IT MY PROBLEM IF YOU'RE TOO SLOW!" He snarled. "Huh slow?" She questioned, clearly insulted, putting her hand on her chest in disgust. She made a pistol with her hand and shot some robots behind her back without looking. "Just stop whining. I don't have time to waste I'm" he attempted to strike a robot behind him but was beaten to it by a swift kick from Mio. "Hey that was mine!" he complained. "If it was yours, I wouldn't have gotten it," she mocked him. Mio began walking off. "Sorry my explosion brethren, but you snooze, you lose," she stated in an immature fashion whilst shooting some more robots with her water bullets.
Back in Group B, Daichi was swiftly making work of some robots on top of a building. He surrounded his fist in rock coating with a rocky blade l hugging his arms to cut up the robots. He also let off some simple kicks and punches to finish them off. He soon got surrounded by a bunch, but rather than being scared, he simply started break dancing. He spun around moving his legs in a cyclone motion until he was coated in a yellow aura the same colour as his super strengthened fists, which now concealed his body and only left a yellow tornado in his place. He moved in this cyclone, and he swiftly took down the robots. Any robot that attempted to go for an attack was left with its arm being completed ripped off by the tornado.
Daichi thought back to a few months ago when Mio showed him this technique. "Yo Daichi, I just made a crazy technique," a slightly younger Mio claimed "Alright then let's see it," Daichi didn't expect to be impressed. Mio then made the miniature cyclone hers being a nice shade of cyan. She then stopped it and emerged hands out. "Ta dah," she proudly showed off. "Wait that actually looks decent," Daichi half complimented her. "Mmhm-Mmhm!" she blushed cutely. "If you can figure out how to do it by tomorrow I'll buy you those new headphones you wanted mum to buy you," When she looked back, Daichi was already making a golden cyclone. "Done it," He said nonchalantly, leaving Mio incredibly salty.
"It's a good technique, the ultimate defence. If they don't let me in for that alone, then I don't even know what to say," current Daichi thought.
Rumble* *Rumble* The whole miniature city started shaking. The buildings crumbled, the ground began eating itself, and the examinees screamed as a robot bigger than any building in the area began clawing itself out of the gates of hell. The robot eventually stood tall. The examinees ran screaming, but Daichi stood tall and smiled. "Finally a worthy opponent, they are literally gonna put this in the history books," he imagined "The legendary Daichi or whatever hero name I come up with versus the catastrophic, carnivorous, cruel, robot of hell... what?" Daichi looked back to see the same green bushy haired kid from before launching up into the air. The bushy haired kid screamed "Smash!" destroying the robot in one hit.
