Chapter 11 Welcome to Jurassic Park
Sean sighed as he was going over some files in his office.
"Oh creators." Sean said seeing various criminals who were taken down since the Legion took control.
"And to think we used to be criminals back then." Letty said walking in.
"I hardly consider you guys criminals since you didn't actually hurt people. Rob them sure but never actually hurt them." Sean said.
"So whats up?" Letty asked.
"Nothing just...It's too quiet. Too damn quiet." Sean said confusing her.
"What do you mean?" Letty asked.
"He's expecting the worst to happen any moment." Dom said walking in.
"Yup. I know Darkseid I have seen his tactics up close and personal before the Merge. I can take him sure...But all three of them? No. Not yet. I'm a century from ever becoming that powerful. And in that time he'll build up a massive army. And then theres my Great Grand Uncles and Aunts. They're also out there somewhere." Sean said.
"Maybe you can just talk to them." Letty said making him scoff.
"The only thing I want to do is stick them in a hole and rot." Sean said.
"Ouch." Dom said.
"I know you guys told me you never turn your back on family. But theres a line you don't cross. Not by a long shot. And they crossed it when they tried to wipe out all life in each universe behind everyone's back for the wrong reasons." Sean said.
"So there are right reasons?" Letty asked making him scoff in amusement.
"Hardly." Sean said before some helicopter landed on the landing pad outside up top.
"What the hell?" Dom asked going up to see who it was.
Arriving up up the top room he found someone in the wreck room getting a bottle of Champaign.
"What do you think you're doing?" Dom asked before he popped the bottle. "We were saving that." Dom said.
"Oh for today mr. Toretto. I guarantee it."
"Who are you?" Dom asked.
"John Hammond. I'm an old friend and mentor of Sean's before the Merge." Hammond said as Sean and Letty came in.
"Ok who's the Jerk?" Letty asked.
"Hey old man." Sean said.
"Kruger so good to see you again." John said shaking his hand.
"Oh you two know each other." Letty said.
"Shortly after I left I met him. He owns one of the most powerful companies from his originating universe. And he's been working on something special." Sean said.
"What kind of special?" Dom asked.
"Oh that is a surprise. But it is also the reason I'm here." Hammond said.
"Why's that?" Letty asked.
"Is it ready?" Sean asked.
"Nearly. But that is why I want you and some of your associates to come and see it. Give a personal opinion on the park. If I get a good one I can get back on schedule." Hammond said pouring a glass.
"Back on schedule?" Dom asked.
"We had a little incident last week and the lawyer of the investors has halted everything. I'm hoping perhaps if you can help get me back on schedule and give some advice on the subject." Hammond said.
"Well...Things have been very quiet as of late. Why not. I could a break from all this crap." Sean said.
"Good. I assure all of you that you won't be disappointed." Hammond said.
Later
Soon the group was on a large helicopter heading to this park.
Along with them were a few others known as Dr. Grant, Dr. Sattler and Dr. Malcom.
"So your the guy running the Legion?" Malcome asked.
"Pretty much. Since no one else has that kind of experience. That and I can make a tough call when needed." Sean said making Rogue grin at him.
"So who are you guys anyway? Lawyers?" Korra asked.
"Do they look like Lawyers. In order, Paleontologist, Paleobotanist and Chaos theorist." Sean said.
"Theorist?" Malcome asked amused making him chuckle.
"No offense but some of that Chaos theory is just pure nonsense. Every action we take causes chaos at every turn blah, blah, blah." Sean said making Letty laugh.
"What do you prefer?" Allen asked.
"In the simplest view...Life happens. Good and bad." Sean said making Hammond laugh.
"Now you see why I brought him along." Hammond said to Donald who smiled.
Soon they arrived at the island.
"Nice place. Must have cost a pretty penny." Letty said.
"Oh you have no idea." Sean said as they landed before getting out as Brain helped Mia out as she held Jack who cooed.
Thats when a few Jeeps drove and parked in front of them.
Letty noticed the blank logos on the sides.
"Whats with the blanks on the side?" Letty asked making Sean smirk.
"It would ruin the surprise." Sean said.
"Ok what are you hiding?" Dom asked.
"You'll see." Sean said as they got in and drove off.
"What do you think he's hiding?" Brian asked.
"Knowing him it has to be something good." Dom said.
"He never keeps a secret. None of his people do." Letty said.
Soon they came to a stop.
"Now what?" Rogue asked.
Sarah looked up from her brother's lap before gasping lightly.
"What is it?" Korra asked as she looked before gasping.
"What...The hell?" Letty said standing up as Sean chuckled.
In front of them was a living breathing dinosaur of all things.
Thats when Grant and Elle got out and the former pointed at it.
"It's...It's a Dinosaur." Grant said.
"Uh-Huh." Elle said in awe making Hammond laugh as he approached them.
"He did it. You crazy son of a bitch you did it." Malcom said as Sean and the others got out.
"Oh this is gonna tear up the book on cold-bloodedness. It doesn't apply. They're totally wrong. This is a warm-blooded creature." Grant said.
"This thing doesn't live in a swamp." Elle said.
"It has a what? 25, 27 foot neck?" Grant asked.
"Brachiosaurus, 30." Hammond said.
"30?" Grant asked laughing before it bellowed before standing on two feet to reach the top to eat before landing back on all fours.
"We're gonna make a fortune with this place." Donald said.
"How fast are they?" Grant asked.
"Well, we clocked the T-rex at 32 miles per hour." Hammond said shocking them.
"You have a T-Rex?" Elle asked.
"Uh huh." Hammond said before Grant placed his hands on his shoulder.
"Say again?" Grant asked making him laugh.
"We have a T-Rex." Hammond said making him weak in the knees.
"Easy old timer." Dom said.
"Ah my young friends. Welcome...to Jurassic Park." Hammond said. (No matter how many times I hear it that line is the most Iconic in the world)
More bellowing was heard making them look before seeing a whole herd of Dinosaurs of various species.
"They're moving in herds. They really do move in herds." Grant said.
"Holy shit." Letty said making Sean laugh.
"How did you do this?" Grant asked.
"I'll show you." Hammond said.
Later
Soon they arrived at a facility known as the visitor center.
"When you surprise people you really surprise them." Mia said as they walked inside.
"I have been looking forward to seeing this place finished for over eight years." Sean said.
"How in the world did you bring Dinosaurs back from the grave?" Letty asked.
"I actually owe a great deal of our success to him actually. And we have made this park to remind the world just how small we all are." Hammond said as they went up some stairs.
"What does that mean for us?" Elle asked.
"We're out of a job." Alan said making Sean scoff.
"Don't you mean Extinct." Malcom said joking making the others laugh.
Soon they arrived in a room before the screen showed Hammond in a suit.
"So how did you do all this? Some ancient power to bring back the dead?" Brian asked making Sean snort.
"Please. His abilities revolve around tech. Not magic." Letty said.
"In which case my profession is the reason for all this." Sean said as a little presentation showed how they used DNA collected from Mosquitoes in fossilized Amber. "I was able to make tech that helped fill in the gabs in the DNA sequences in order to fully repair them so we could get this far." Sean said.
"Oh I get it. With all the DNA intact you were able to bring them back. Like clones?" Brian asked.
"Not exactly." Hammond said as the place moved showing a lab.
"I keep forgetting you were traveling the whole multiverse that your gramps made. But to think you helped make all this." Rogue said.
"I Had a lot of time on my hands." Sean said making her grin.
Thats when they passed a room full of eggs.
"Wait a second. How do you stop this thin?" Alan asked.
"Here." Dom said pushing it forward.
"I swear." Sean said as they went out.
Walking to the lab Sean saw one scientist he knew.
"Hey Henry." Sean said getting his attention.
"Sean. Long time no see." Henry said.
Letty looked seeing some eggs.
"Whats with the eggs?" Letty asked.
"It's how their hatched. We use ostrich eggs to incubate them since no other egg works." Sean said.
"Pretty clever." Brian said.
Thats when he noticed one moving.
"Oh perfect timing." Henry said as it slowly opened up showing a little dinosaur.
"I've been present for the birth of every little creature on this island." Hammond said.
"Not the one breed in the wild I assume." Malcom said.
"Actually they can't breed in the wild. Population control is our top concern." Henry said.
"How do you know they can't breed?" Brian asked.
"Because their all female. They've been engineered for that precaution. It's really not that difficult. All embryos are inherently female. They just need an extra hormone to make them male. Denying that is very easy." Sean said.
"With all due respect the kind of control your trying to establish is impossible. You of all people should know life breaks free. Life finds a way." Malcome said.
"True. But if theres one thing that immortals are good at doing...Is keeping things in check." Sean said.
Allen looked at the little dinosaur in Hammond's hand.
"What species is this?" Alan asked.
"Velociraptor." Henry said alarming him.
"You bred raptors?" Alan asked.
Later
A loud screeching sound was heard inside a paddock.
"Before we set you up for a tour of the park." Hammond tried to say.
"What are they doing?" Alan asked seeing them hoist a cow up.
"Oh no they don't." Sean said holding his hand out before actual fresh meat appeared before being dropped inside making the raptors inside start eating it.
"Ahh. Yes I forgot you can make anything appear with this energy you use." Hammond said.
Sarah looked inside seeing the large one looking at her.
"Open it up." Sean said getting them to do just that.
The Large one walked out as Sarah approached it before it rubbed against her making her laugh as she got on the back.
"HA! Would you look at that. All animals really love you guys." Letty said making him chuckle.
"Oh we know." Robert Muldoon said.
"Kruger has his own personal dinosaur as well." Hammond said.
"It's a Rex whose more unique in appearance and male. This was before the process was perfected." Sean said.
"Where is he?" Letty asked.
"Not here. No he's on Site B. It's a...Different site. Where this one is a park the other is a hatchery for them to live in peace. That was my condition for helping." Sean said.
"I see." Dom said.
Later
Sean held up a spy named Dennis who whimpered in fear.
"You know I really hate turncoats and spies who are only in it for money, Power, Weapons...I got a nice detention center in mind for you pal." Sean said making him whimper in fear as he was taken away.
"You need to do better security here old timer." Letty said.
"Hence why I also brought you all here." Hammond said making Sean chuckle.
Soon Sean was in the park by himself before seeing a female Rex who approached him before lowering herself down to him as he petted her nose.
"Hey girl." Sean said making her purr.
"Amazing my old friend."
Sean looked seeing a man in red armor with a helmet on flying down to him.
"Hey Erik." Sean said looking at Magneto.
"I'm very impressed you had a hand in this. Bringing back creatures from long before mankind." Magneto said.
"I approved of the idea to remind people how small we all are. It's incredible how these creatures existed in almost every single one with a few exceptions." Sean said.
"Indeed." Magneto said.
"You're not here for a social visit. I know you. Whats up?" Sean asked leaning against her.
"Senator Kelly...I've just learned he's planning to have you assassinated so he can have the Legion under his control." Magneto said.
"Of course he is." Sean said annoyed as the Rex growled. He didn't need to scan Magneto to know if he was lying since he's never lied to him knowing he can't with his eyes. "I guess Hudson was right. Time to remove him from office...But I got better plans for him. Make an example of him." Sean said.
"See to it that you do. After all if you want my support." Magneto said.
"Erik my people always uphold their end of the bargain. I remove those who make the lives of Mutants difficult and you help me." Sean said.
"True." Magneto said.
Later
Kelly screamed as he was tortured in the interrogation room at the Legion base.
"Is this really necessary?" Hank asked.
"You want people to realize his tactics aren't gonna go unpunished anymore? This is how." Price said
"He was planning to have me killed so he could take over. What do you think?" Sean asked.
"Who told you that anyway?" Cyclops asked.
"Magneto." Sean said shocking the X men minus Rogue.
"Magneto told you? He's a bad guy." Shadowcat said.
"True. But he and I have a history. After all I was there when his camp was liberated. And so was Steve." Sean said making them look at him.
"Camp...Oh." Steve said remembering.
"What camp?" Kurt asked.
"POW Camp. He's Jewish you do the math." Sean said.
"Oh...Thats why he hates Humans so much." Cyclops said.
"You can't entirely blame him. Growing up under those conditions...It would be more amazing if he didn't. However he trusts me since I keep my word and because of the Immortals Mutants are being treated better." Sean said.
"Why do humans hate Mutants from his universe anyway? Ransik I can understand but why them?" Jen asked.
"Humans fear what they don't understand and that fear turns to hatred. Pure and simple. Or they want to be the dominant species or some other BS like that." Sean said.
"He ain't wrong." Letty said.
"Doesn't matter. Kelly is going to the digital prison and a new senator endorsed by us will take his place." Amanda said.
"Now we just gotta get rid of the other 99 idiots in government." Revy said making most laugh.
Later
Sean was going over some reports when he noticed something.
"What do we have here." Sean said seeing a report on raids by Vilgax's army taking supplies.
"Not exactly a good sign my young friend."
Sean turned seeing a man in his late early 80's walking in.
"Dooku." Sean said.
"It's been a long time Kruger." Dooku said.
"Bout 10 years. How's retirement treating you?" Sean asked.
"Good actually." Dooku said before Qui-Gon and Kenobi walked in.
"Master." Qui-Gon said surprised.
"Ah, Qui-Gon its good to see you." Dooku said.
"I thought you were retired these days." Kenobi said.
"I am. Just paying a visit to an old friend." Dooku said.
"Dooku is one of the few Jedi who knew about me and what I was doing." Sean said.
"So there were Jedi who knew." Kenobi said.
"A few. Anakin was one of them." Sean said surprising them.
"Anakin knew?" Qui-Gon asked.
"For five years. He's good at keeping secrets. Anyway Dooku has been doing something for me since I helped him out on keeping you two alive from ten years ago." Sean said.
"You were at Naboo?" Kenobi asked.
"How do you think Maul tripped?" Sean asked.
Flashback ten years ago
Maul pushed Qui-Gon back when he suddenly tripped given him the chance to kill him.
Sean was right above them with his palm glowing before vanishing.
End Flashback
"Ah, so thats how that happened. I thought it was strange since Sith rarely ever make mistakes like that." Qui-Gon said.
"Dooku asked me to keep an eye on you when he learned the Sith were involved. And he's been doing something for me." Sean said.
"And that is?" Qui-Gon asked.
"Raising an army. He knew once he took charge and he started bringing the universes together there would be some conflict and each universe would need to contribute. So I built him two armies." Dooku said.
"Two?" Kenobi asked.
"One comprised of droids with programing of Immortals that they use for military drones. And then the Clones. From Kamino." Dooku said.
"I'm not familiar with that system." Qui-Gon said.
"It's in the outer rim. Their cloners. Real good ones. In any event I've inspected them myself and all of them are damn good soldiers. And Given a serum that stops the accelerated aging once they reach 18 years of age." Sean said.
"You planned that far ahead?" Kenobi asked.
"Well, sure. I told you I wanted to help people. And Knew if the universes were gonna co exist peacefully side by side they would all need to contribute. So I had them commissioned." Sean said.
"Commissioned with what? You said it yourself your people don't use finances." Qui-Gon said before Sean made Diamonds appear from thin air.
"Doesn't mean I can't make that finance appear. Really not that difficult to make anything from thin air using this energy we use to breathe. So the commission was put through and it's good thing it was since things are going to get...Difficult real soon." Sean said.
"I suppose it is." Kenobi said.
"How many for each army?" Qui-Gon asked.
"Millions on both sides. More so on the droids than the clones though since they are easy to build. Made from various groups that Sean and I managed to secure by ousting the corruption in each one. Where do you think all the evidence in Gunray's corruption came from?" Dooku said.
"Ah so that was you." Kenobi said.
"I hated his guts the second I saw him. Before he was imprisoned though he did mention he was only following orders from someone dangerous. We knew right away he was talking about Sidious but we had no idea who he was at the time." Sean said.
"And now we do." Dooku said.
"With him gone hopefully it will mean an end to this Sith nonsense." Sean said.
"Somehow I doubt that." Kenobi said.
Meanwhile
"Our forces together aren't enough to go head to head with the Legion. We need to have bigger numbers and more powerful people." Zemo said.
"Thats something only we can do to an extent even with XANA." Cobra commander said.
"We could always form an alliance with Darkseid." XANA said.
"No...He's too dangerous and unpredictable. I heard stories he once promised to help the Head of Intergang before the Merge. Promised to make him a king. King of fools is what he meant." Zemo said.
"He betrayed him in a second. We can't trust him." Cobra commander said.
"Then perhaps you could trust me."
All three turned to see a man in a black hood with some breathing mask on.
"Who are you?" Zemo asked.
"You can call me...A friend. I happen to have a grudge against Kruger as well since his Merge disrupted our plans for the Republic."
"How so?" Zemo asked.
"The Chancellor was one of us. We had plans to destroy it and the Jedi from within but now it's no longer in play because of our key players dying on us because of the merge."
"Your a Sith Lord aren't you. I heard about you from rumors and history archives." Cobra Commander said.
"I am...Darth Malgus." Malgus said revealing himself.
"Any enemy of Kruger's is a friend of mine." Zemo said grinning.
Author's Note. Man everyone just teaming up at every turn. Things are gonna get way more intense later.
