The Foxes were making a birthday breakfast. Oliver didn't want to open the door for his siblings. He was feeling mad at them. It was just like his childhood. When they were known to forget him.
Gabriel decided to give it to him. Oliver peeked out when he saw his dad holding the banana-topped French toast and scrambled eggs. Oliver drooled a bit.
"Happy 18th birthday, Oliver!" he and the siblings said.
Oliver took the breakfast, forcing a smile at his siblings before eating.
With Garrett, he sees Melony sleeping on a chair next to him. Garrett smiled at her.
"She's so cute when she's sleeping…" Garrett says.
Maria came to check in on Garrett. "How are you feeling?" She asked.
"Okay." Garrett says as his legs were sore.
"Are you ready for physical therapy?" Maria asked him. He had been going to physical therapy sessions in the sports medicine section of the hospital with the best physical therapist money could buy.
Garrett nodded and allowed Maria to take him.
Oliver was giving his siblings the cold shoulder as he got dressed.
They felt bad for him. Oliver ignored them.
"Why should I even…like, acknowledge your existence?" Oliver asked, angry.
They look down. "We're really sorry." They say.
"After such a wonderful surprise last year, you forget this year! I think you can perform without me tonight! I see how much you actually care about me…" Oliver says, storming out of the house.
They look down.
Meanwhile, Melony woke up yawning as she sees Garrett.
"I'm sorry I couldn't save you…" Melony said and left.
She looks for Ollie.
"Ollie?" Melony asked. "I need a favor. We need all the help we can to win." Melony said.
"Count me in." Ollie says. "June! Pull up the soul playlist on Spotify! We have a song to search for!"
With the Foxes, they tried to practice without Oliver. It didn't work. Pam gets an idea.
"Hey, Emma." Pam says, planning to use Emma to win.
Skara saw Emma shaking. Skara then saw Oliver was still mad at them.
"Listen, Oliver's mad so we need a 5th member." Pam tells Emma.
"Have you guys stopped and thought about how Oliver is feeling right now?" Skara asked.
Emma shook hard.
"You will all be punished if you force her!" Gabriel shouted.
"But this is what Emma's wanted." Pam says.
"She doesn't want to do it." Gabriel says sternly.
The Foxes go to Oliver with a homemade gift in hand. "Happy birthday, Oliver. We're sorry for everything." Stevie says.
Oliver looks at the gift. It was a magic broom.
"F-For me?" Oliver asked. They nod.
Meanwhile, the other teams were getting ready and saw the show would be centered around Oliver since it was his birthday. The siblings had done that to make things right.
Melony sighed. Remy reminded her not to gripe about this.
"I'm worried. I like like Garrett." Melony confesses.
Savannah looks at Jerbo, then Melony. She goes to Melony.
"Here, I think Garrett needs this." Savannah says.
"Congratulations. Another person who thinks I can see." Melony says, annoyed.
Savannah felt embarrassed for forgetting. "Okay, I'll tell you what it is. The prize money from Audition? I want you to have it. Take a bit for yourself since you have no one and most of it's for Garrett." Savannah says.
"Why? This is Jerbo's first win and you're giving this to Garrett?" Melony asked
"It was mine and Viney's idea." Jerbo says.
"Why?" Melony asked.
"It's what we do, we help people. " Savannah says.
"We did something similar at Hexside and raised a ton of money for a friend in the Illusions coven." Viney says.
Later…
"Will you forgive us?" Griffin asked.
Oliver didn't know what to think. "All that time throughout my childhood…where you forgot my birthday so many times…put me through pain and jealousy and many things…you always left me out!" Oliver sniffed.
They look down.
Skara goes to Emma.
"They're gone." Skara says as Emma shakes.
"Are you afraid of me?" She asked. Emma nodded.
"Skara, look, Pam broke Emma's heart, so she kinda has trust issues. I'm sure she'll warm up to you. I hope you don't feel like an outcast at home." Skylia says.
Oliver crosses his arms. He looks at his siblings.
"We'll never forget again, we promise!" Rachel says.
"It hurts so bad…" Oliver sniffed.
Meanwhile, Melony was walking outside as She was thinking if she should forgive the cosmic buddies.
"I guess they're all right." Melony says and goes to see Garrett. She entered to hear parents praising their child.
Melony looks down upset, but she shakes it off, keeping it all in and goes to Garrett.
She gave the money to Forest.
"Well, this is mighty generous! Who is it from?" Forest asked.
"Savannah, Jerbo, and Viney." Melony says.
"Well, when you see them next, tell them thank you. I'll make sure to send the Dossmeyers a thank you card." Forest says as Melony smiled.
Soon, Luke arrives to get ready as Penny resists the urge to slap him.
"Okay, he's suffered enough, people." Mike says.
"Yeah he feels bad enough." Josh says.
Suddenly, Cool Josh entered as he was one of the judges.
"Heya!" He said as the girls cheered.
"Who is that guy? He looks cute." Skara says as girls swoon over him.
"Hey, ladies." He says.
"Oh, that's Cool Josh. Let's just say he's Randy's biggest rival for a girl." Skylia says.
"Oh, okay." Skara says. She had Boscha for a lover, so this didn't affect her very much.
"Okay, team, listen up! We gotta win for Garrett!" Melony says and punches her fists.
"But this is the quarterfinals! Not the finals!" Remy points out.
"We still need to try our best." Melony says.
"Ha!" Mike laughed as Melony glared.
With Luke, Shane was getting dressed for the show.
"Shane, I'm sorry!" Luke says.
"Sorry about Garrett or sorry about losing your fans?" Shane snarked.
"All of it, all of it, all of iiit!" Luke sobbed.
Leni hugged Luke.
"I'll do anything…please…" Luke cries.
"It's okay. I forgive you." Leni says.
Before the show…
"I lost it all…" Luke sobbed. "My fans, my friends, everything!"
Gemma sees that the guilt is eating away at Luke and sits with him.
"Shane, Penny, Sal, will you give us a minute?" Gemma tells the three. They nod and leave the room.
"Are you okay, Luke?" She gently asked him, offering him a tissue.
"I'm a horrible person!" Luke sobbed. "I feel guilty enough! I can't take it anymore! I just want to be good again! I just want my life back! I just…just…" Luke then cried harder than ever.
"Oh, honey…" Gemma says, holding Luke. Dave steps into the room.
"Darling, can you introduce the show? I think I need to sit with Luke for a little bit." Gemma tells Dave.
"Of course." Dave says as he pats Luke's shoulder sympathetically before heading to the stage.
Dave is soon on stage, smiling at the crowd.
"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Pier Six Pavilion in amazing Baltimore, Maryland! This is the very site of tonight's quarterfinals show, a Soul Showcase, where our top nine teams will perform some of the best soul songs they know! Tonight, three teams will be sent home, making our semi-final six, which will be part of a Garrett's Guardians special live from Royal Woods, Michigan!" Dave says. "Every vote counts now more than ever, so if you want your favorite team in that show, you know what to do, America!"
Fans cheered wildly.
"So without further ado, I'd like to introduce our first team, a group that takes music to some amazing heights, the team of Stephen Meyers, Remy Estevez, Ollie Chen, and Melony!" Dave says.
Fans were excited for Ollie, who appeared wearing his name-clad fedora. This time, it was spelled out in emeralds.
The group then began performing I Feel Good by James Brown with Ollie singing lead. Girls fainted at the sight of Ollie, including Molly.
Angry Luigi was looking after his brother.
They soon let Melony do a solo tribute to Garrett. Fans cheered before Ollie did his tribute to Oliver. Oliver just smiled slightly.
Lucy holds Luke as it was Dave's turn to talk to him.
"Hey, you wanna talk about it?" Dave asked.
Luke nodded and told Dave everything that he needed to know.
"I am a horrible person for doing all those things!" Luke sobbed. "Now I've lost my fans, my friends, most of my family, and everything else that mattered to me!"
"Well, you can fix it." Dave says.
"How? I feel like I can't redeem myself now…" Luke sniffed.
"Yes, you can." Dave says.
"How can I even do that?" Luke sniffed. "By leaving my team one member short? Because I can surely do that!"
"Tell Garrett you're sorry." Dave says.
"I tried that!" Luke cries. "I feel like I tried everything…everyone still hates me!"
"It will take time." Dave says.
The fans chanted "Happy Birthday!" at Oliver, who forced a smile.
The Adventure Kids get ready to go on.
"Ladies and gentlemen, taking the stage now are the amazing Adventure Kids!" Gemma says as fans cheered.
They came on stage and began their performance of I Want You Back by The Jackson 5.
Fans cheered as Cynthia had a solo for Oliver.
Oliver stormed away from his siblings. Luke goes to Oliver.
"What do you want?" Oliver cried.
"I got a surprise for you after this." Luke says.
"Why should I believe anything you have to say?!" Oliver sobbed. "My siblings are trying to leave me out again!"
"I'm trying here!" Luke sobbed and left.
"I guess the show has been put on hold due to Luke and Oliver refusing to compete" Cool Josh says
"NO, IT HAS NOT!" Oliver screamed.
Lucy was trying to stop Luke from running away.
"Luke, do it for Garrett." Lucy says.
Backstage…
"I HATE YOU!" Oliver screams at his siblings.
"We said we were sorry. We gave you a gift." Stevie says as they leave Oliver for now, knowing he'd never forgive them as they cry. Gabriel sees this.
Melony was heading out as they wouldn't be eliminated. Everyone loved Ollie.
"Time to check on Garrett." Melony says. She soon sensed something and gasped hias some weird spiders crawled towards Melony, who kicked them away and ran.
A bunch appeared around Angry Luigi, who freaked out as he hammered one and hammered another.
"I'll hold them off! Protect your brother." Skylia says as her hands glowed.
Meanwhile, Savannah gets ready with Jerbo, Viney, Gus, and Willow.
Oliver sniffed as Gabriel talked to him.
"I know it's like the past!" Oliver sobbed. "They just intend to leave me out!"
"They're not. If they do, they'll lose the rest of their summer." Gabriel says.
"Luke forgot my birthday! Everyone did!" Oliver sobbed. "You're the only one who cares at all!"
"I'm sorry that happened." Gabriel says.
"I don't want you to suffer" Savannah tells Oliver.
"I don't need them!" Oliver spat out.
"What about the show? You can't go alone." Remy says.
Soon, Melony smirked, summoning melon minions as they took out the spiders.
"I can't lose to spiders. Not with my army. " Melony says.
Meanwhile, Skylia shot spells shrinking the spiders to nothing.
She sighed. "Phew…" Skylia says before Big Owl arrived.
"Oh, no." Skylia says as he dove for Skylia, who jumped back and used a magic whip to whip Big Owl, who tossed poison feathers.
Skylia got hit and fell over as Angry Luigi was calling for backup, but Big Owl kicked Angry Luigi and looks at Alem tuber before Angry Luigi thinks and took out a Vanish Cap and turned into Vanish Angry Luigi, hammering Big Owl out the window.
Angry Luigi sighed before Big Owl flew and kicked him into a wall.
"Oh, Alem tuber, you are screwed." Big Owl says as Emma tries kicking him, but he knocks her into a wall.
Angry Luigi gets up, charging lightning.
"Uh-uh…wouldn't want you to kill your brother…" Big Owl taunted as Angry Luigi thinks and gets an idea and took out a tanooki suit and turned into Tanooki Angry Luigi and tossed a red shell at Big Owl.
Big Owl dodged as Tanooki Angry Luigi leaped and kicked him out the window and jumped out and flew after him as they flew and tried attacking as Angry Luigi used a spun jump with lightning. He hit Big Owl, sending him far before Big Owl used a lunar beam as Angry Luigi was sent flying into a wall and crashed through it.
"Okay, let's impress everyone!" Savannah says. "For Randy!"
Jerbo and Viney sighed, knowing they were forced to support Randy.
"What's wrong?" Savannah asked
"You were wanting us to support your friend this whole time!" Jerbo says
"I like helping people." Savannah says.
"Let him die. The cosmic buddies have no future. It's no wonder they drag the Foxes into these messes." Mike says.
"You guys don't have to support Randy." Savannah says, realizing she screwed up.
Gus and Willow went off to switch outfits.
"Don't worry, soon there will be no need to support Randy." Mike laughed.
Angry Luigi was sent through another building.
He fell and screamed before leaping away as Blue Owl had tried diving into him, but hit a wall instead.
Angry Luigi ran as he dove dodging lunar beams as he leaped over a giant owl wing. He leaped up, but Big Owl smacked him away into a cannon.
It launched Angry Luigi, who used a mushroom to grow bigger and punched Big Owl, sending him flying.
Angry Luigi sighed and reverted to his normal size and rushed to save his brother and saw a bunch of assassins slashing Emma and Skylia as he tried to attack, but they attacked him a bunch of times and kicked him into a wall.
"He's probably dead." Mike says.
"How could you?" Savannah asked.
"What? Answer this, crowd. Does anyone actually like the cosmic buddies?" Mike asked.
There were cricket sounds.
"Skara is going to be without a family. I won't allow it." Savannah says.
"But you gotta stay here to compete. Checkmate. This time, they're toast." Mike says. "You don't have powers, anyway."
"I got other friends." Savannah says, but Mike snatched her phone and tossed it aside.
Charity appeared behind Mike and Josh.
"I would advise you to give that young lady's phone back. If you don't, you'll find yourself in jail for attempted assault. And if you try to threaten me, I'll make your jail sentence longer than you'd like it to be, while my bodyguards and guard dogs get to beat you and knock you into oblivion!" Charity screamed.
Mike gives her phone back and leaves. Mike and Josh then comfort Luke.
Oliver walked out of the show venue.
"They all hate me!" He screamed out. Gift or no gift, he still felt hurt.
"I don't think he's ready to compete yet." Willow says.
The siblings go to talk to him.
"Years of it being all about you!" Oliver shouted at them. "Years of you getting gifts and blowing out my candles and taking over my birthday parties with things that you accomplished! I'm so sick of it!" Oliver sobbed. Gabriel gasped when he heard all this as he looked at the siblings.
"So the truth is finally out in the open." Gabriel says, folding his arms.
People gasp and begin thinking having the Foxes reunite was a bad idea. Separating them was an even worse idea, but it wasn't out of the question. They just wanted Oliver to suffer.
Meanwhile, Delta rushed in attacking the assassins with ease.
"Ha, too easy." Delta says as the others arrived and with their help, the battle was over.
"Aw, man, it's over?" Melony asked.
"Melony?" The others asked
"What? Without me, you guys would be toast." Melony bragged.
Soon, Savannah and her team were ready with a song for Oliver.
They performed I Heard It Through The Grapevine by Marvin Gaye with Gus and Jerbo singing lead. Girls were in love with them.
Emma and Angry Luigi arrive to see this.
"Gus and Jerbo!" Girls screamed.
They soon finish to a standing ovation. Willow hoped the Foxes weren't trying to kill Oliver or hurt him.
Oliver cried as Gabriel was heavily scolding the siblings outside the show venue.
"You kids are grounded for a year! No birthdays for any of you this year!" he says. "You should be grateful I'm allowing you to be on the show right now…"
"How could you just hurt me this way?" Oliver asked, in tears. "You gave me such a wonderful birthday surprise last year, then you go and forget this year!"
They look down, ashamed.
"You screwed up, big time." Willow says, noticing Oliver as his siblings know they did just that over the years.
Meanwhile, Melony runs and sees Garrett shaking as she holds him.
"I hurt…" Garrett sniffed.
Oliver goes back in as he had nothing to say to his siblings.
They sighed and got ready to go on.
Fans were excited as the Foxes appeared and performed Respect by Aretha Franklin. Oliver was singing lead as originally planned.
Fans screamed for Oliver.
Meanwhile
"Tell me he'll walk again?" Melony begged
"His legs and hands are critically bad. His hips suffered the worst." Maria saye
"SO I'LL NEVER GET TO WALK AGAIN?!" Garrett was angry now.
"No, I never said that. I was just stating that you will need to heal for 2 weeks. You should be out of the hospital by then. It was nothing too bad. You just needed to get a joint fixed and really it wasn't physical pain keeping you. It was the fact that you lost your humanity. You even bit Melony in your sleep like a dog." Maria says
Garrett sobbed, wanting his humanity back. Luke robbed him of his 18th birthday. He was angry now.
"Melony really tried to save you from all this. She really cared for you." Maria says.
"LUKE IS DEAD WHEN I GET OUT OF HERE!" Garrett shouted. "I WAS ROBBED OF MY PERFECT 18TH BIRTHDAY!"
Luke was getting ready. Shane looked at him with a look of anger.
"What?" Luke asked as Mike and Josh were willing to defend him.
"You robbed him." Shane says coldly. "Close to his 18th birthday, you had to rob him. He learned his lesson after the first time. But you just loved to torture him. I should have just refused when the second movie offer came up."
"Did something happen?" Savannah asked.
"Melony got bitten by Garrett." Shane says as the louds, Kat, and Ana were horrified.
"You took his humanity away! Brandy losing his was bad enough, but we managed to help him, but Garrett?" Savannah asked.
"They were going to mock me!" Luke screamed as Lana punched Luke in anger.
"Lana, cool it!" Lori says.
"Yeah, don't have issues like…" Leni says as Lori stops her. Lana covered her ears.
"All my birthdays…" Lana whimpered, feeling Oliver's pain.
"But Garrett didn't get to have his at all! So, guess what? I am going to cancel your birthweek this year." Charity says. "Maybe you'll know what it feels like when no one gets to celebrate you. You'll be feeling the way Garrett feels right now."
Luke turns pale with realization. He gets on his knees. "Please, no…" he cried.
"Luke, it's okay…" Lucy says as Luke remembers Lynn and Lola taunting his birthday in the past.
"Guys, please." Lucy says.
"No, if he thinks he can be more important than me, he's dead!" Lola says.
"Please…please, no…" Luke sobbed. "I'll do anything! Anything!"
"We will give Garrett his day and you're helping me plan it. The whole thing, just like he wanted it." Lucy says.
"Yes, Lucy." Luke says, sniffling.
Soon, Luke had to get ready. Shane looked at him.
"Let's give everyone a show…" Shane says.
"Ladies and gentlemen, it's time for the stars to take the stage!" Dave says.
Fans cheered as Gemma smiled and finished the introduction. They came out as fans cheered.
Shane sang lead as they performed I Wanna Dance With Somebody by Whitney Houston.
Fans cheered as Shane sang. The Louds cheered. They finished with Penny and Shane striking a pose.
Fans cheered as Dave smiled. He knows Luke will find a way to redeem himself.
The cups, Mona, Art, and Deco get ready. They soon appear on stage in a call center-type stage setting as they perform 634-5789 by Eddie Floyd. Mugman ended the song by calling it Mugsy's Love Exchange.
Fans cheered as Gemma gave them the platinum button.
"Semi-finals, here we come!" Cuphead says.
They were the first group to be in the semi-final six. Dave announces the other groups moving to the semifinals.
"The other five groups going to the semifinals will be…The Adventure Kids, Shane's group, Jerbo and his group, The Foxes, and Melony's group!" Dave says.
Jerbo squealed. "All right!" He says.
"Awesome!" Remy says.
Kali smiled.
Oliver arrived at a forest as confetti fell on him.
"Happy birthday, Oliver!" Everyone says as Luke planned a camping themed party for him.
There was confetti falling on him. Oliver sniffed, not knowing what to say.
"Thank you…" Oliver says, sniffling. He then saw his siblings as he looked away slightly.
They smiled. "Happy birthday to the best brother ever!" they say. Oliver looked at them as he managed a smile.
"Y-You care about me?" Oliver sniffed. They nod.
With Kylie, she sees Garrett. She blushed because his gown couldn't cover his lower half as she saw a small tent.
"Hi, Garrett." she says, trying not to look.
"Hi, Ky." he says, blushing a little.
"You're…uh…" she stammered.
"Hurt? Yeah, my humanity was taken from me." Garrett says.
"Garrett Jr. is coming out to play…" she says, blushing, unable to look away.
Garrett looks down at his shaft. He tries to will it down himself.
Melony was walking and could feel something was off with Garrett. She never felt him with an erection. She blushed. Was he aroused because of her?
She felt Kylie slowly approaching Garrett.
Garrett tries to will it down but nothing works. Kylie was blushing as she lifted his gown up.
Kylie blushed. "I…I want" she stammered
Melony walked away. She forgot Kylie was with Garrett. She hears Garrett moaning as Kylie was touching him. Kylie was stroking him off.
Melony felt hot for the first time. She got hotter with each moan.
Garrett was getting close. "We shouldn't. What if you get sick?" He asked.
"It's okay, Garrett." Kylie says. "You're hurt more than you are sick."
With Oliver, he had wandered over to the lake, staring at his reflection. Luke noticed him.
"Hey, are you all right?" Luke asked him.
"They're actually caring. They never cared before…" Oliver says.
"It's nice to see they care about you." Luke says.
"My birthdays aside from last year were always about them. They always stole my spotlight. Never apologized for it." Oliver says. "Always stole my birthday wishes and blew out my candles, opened my gifts, made my parties about their constant achievements and their awards…I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!" Oliver sobbed.
He holds Oliver as one of those birthdays flashed in his mind.
Meanwhile, the cosmic buddies were looking at a map thinking of their plan for a new adventure to keep themselves relevant.
"Look, it's pretty clear we're becoming old news." Delta says
"But Alem tuber is really sick." Chrissy says. "I doubt he's even up for adventuring right now."
"We really are old news." Emila says, "Especially with Luke and the others being the focus of the news. Luke's been talking about how he's washed up, but he's really not."
"Should we retire?" Bill asked.
"Not like we're needed much." Alex says.
Later, Oliver and Willow were dancing. After a while, Oliver walks up to his pile of gifts and finds the one from all his siblings. He takes it and goes away from everyone.
It was a magic juice maker. Oliver stared at it for a long time.
"What even is this?" He asked himself.
It would make any juice he thought of. Oliver decided to give it a try. He made kiwi-starfruit juice and sipped it.
"Not a bad gift. And this juice is delicious." He says before putting the juice maker away. His thoughts turned to when he would never get nice presents like this.
He cried as he put himself in a magic bubble and shut himself away to be alone with the juice maker in tow.
Gabriel saw the bubble and knew what that meant.
"What do we do?" Willow asked.
"Those memories are coming back to haunt him." Gabriel says. "If we don't control him and the way he tries to remember them, the consequences are deadly."
Angry Luigi rushed and came back and buried himself alive.
"Seriously?!" Melony says.
"You cosmic buddies do something. You're heroes." Pam says.
"No, why should we help you? You broke my heart!" Emma says.
"Fine…" Savannah says as Emila lit up magical images of Oliver's best moments of him beating Emila.
Oliver didn't want to open the bubble.
"This is hopeless. He's probably only going to think of the bad memories." Emila says
"Did it ever occur to any of you that maybe he's just having emotional struggles?" Gabriel asked..
"So? It's his problem." Emila says.
"Anyone who wants to bring negativity into this can leave. There's the exit." Willow says, pointing to the forest exit. Emila huffed and left.
"Babe…" Edric says.
Later, Savannah tries to hug him. Oliver looked out of the bubble, sniffing.
"It's okay, Oliver." Willow says. "We know you're hurting emotionally."
"Luke is the only one who understands me!" Oliver screamed.
"Then talk to us." Savannah says.
"Come out of there, sweetheart…" Victoria says gently. After some time, he comes out.
"Tell us why you're so upset, honey." Victoria says. "It's okay. We want to understand what you're feeling at the moment and we want to help you feel better."
"They overshadow me every year!" he says.
"Should have known, Twin syndrome. there is always a killer twin." Luke says as Lana leaves at that point.
"Look, we'll make sure they don't do anything." Savannah says.
"I hate them right now…11 years of bad birthday parties…it's all coming back to me now…" Oliver clenched his fists tightly.
"Look, it won't happen again. This will be a good birthday." Willow says.
"11 YEARS!" Oliver screamed.
"Son, son…it's going to be all right now…" Gabriel says, trying to console his son.
They all hug him, trying to comfort him.
He was tense at piñata time. He stared as the compass piñata was hung up.
"GIVE ME THE DAMN BAT!" Oliver screams.
He hits the piñata as everyone looks concerned. He obliterated the piñata with the bat and a piñata-destruction spell.
"Why don't you drink some of my tea? It will calm you down." Skylia says.
"And think of last year where we gave you that party." Emma says.
Oliver sips the tea and stares at the table.
"Oliver, it's all right now." Gabriel holds his hands as Oliver sees everyone giving him reassuring smiles.
Oliver manages to smile back.
Next, they show a highlight reel of his best moments back when the Waterlashes were with them. Oliver smiled a bit.
Meanwhile, Melony came in.
"Garrett, are you okay?" Melony asked.
"NOW they broadcast a party for Oliver on TV?! Now I'm being reminded of what I couldn't have!" Garrett cried.
