Danny and Star were looking forward to Easter this year. Star always liked to go to church for Easter. The sermon was very hopeful and pleasant every year. Star did believe in a higher being, and Christianity was the closest religion to what she thought. Every Easter, she dressed in her Sunday Best, walked to church alone, and used her slightly worn Bible. Her Bible had black leather and gold lettering on the cover and the spine. It was an NIV bible. Star was assured by the bookstore she had bought it from when she was around nine that the NIV was the most standard translation. Danny had the Bible he had bought from another church.
This year, both Danny and Star decided to go to church and then do an Easter hunt. Danny made sure that no one was cheating, by hiring someone to hide all the eggs from them. Just to be safe, Danny sent him to Mexico to enjoy a nice holiday when he was done hiding the eggs. It was a very sensible precaution since Sam had a problem with not being too competitive. The last time there was an athletic contest, Sam made several girls cry. On the first warm weather day in Amity Park Star, Danny headed to church. Danny was wearing a white button-up, and a red and black flannel jacket with a pair of dark wash jeans (if it is like my rural hometown, that is a pretty formal outfit). Star wore a summer dress that hit a little below her knees that was red floral with a white background, she also had a cute white open cardigan on.
After about a twenty-minute walk, they made it to the church and took a seat in one of the pews. The sermon was lovely. To be fair, it was expected to be good, the rising of Jesus Christ was a classic story. Then they went to the hideout and had Easter Dinner with the rest of Team Phantom. Finally, it was time for the huge Easter Egg Hunt. The hunt was bloody. Sam had no problems with using violence to get more eggs. Everyone enjoyed the hunt a lot. Danny and Star tied for first with the Easter Egg Hunt. Sam came in second, and Dani in third.
After the success of Team Phantom's first Easter, they all wanted to throw another party just like that. Even if Dani got a black from Sam's elbow. Dani didn't mind because Sam gave Dani a fifty-dollar bill to say sorry.
