Rent a Girlfriend: Coming to Terms (Short Story) Part 1
Introduction:
Laying on the Floor, Kazuya made the declaration that some deity was really fucking up his love life. With a disgusted grunt, he felt like slamming his head against the wall in frustration. He had finally admitted to Chizuku that he wanted her and then when she asked him what that meant. He panicked and recanted with the stupid remark that he wanted her as his only Rental. "God I am so stupid." He whispered. "Of course she would not feel the same." He had half expected for her to say something other then ask him what he had meant. So that left him exactly where he was before the Mess with Mami. Who he no longer believed he had any feelings for other then contempt. Kibe had been right, she was a royal class Bitch. "Okay...I can't keep using Chizuku as a crutch and I can't keep leading Ruka on. She is too nice for me to keep doing that to her." He muttered and picked up his Phone. It was time to move on. It was time to at least try to have a normal Girlfriend. With a deep inhaled breath, he dialed Ruka's number. "Hello Ruka...uhm how would you like to go out tomorrow after work?" He then had to hold the phone away from his ear as she squealed with delight.
After an hour of talking to Ruka on the Phone, Kazuya went to bed with the firm decision that he was doing the right thing. But he had to have closure with Chizuku or at least tell her. He began to rise to do just that and instantly chicken out. The last time he pressed her Intercom Button where it was not an emergency, she really let him have it. "A note..a letter. That way I can make sure I do not fuck it up." Taking out a Sheet of Paper, he began to write.
'Dear Chizuku: I have decided that from what had happened with Mami and that you keep telling me that if you do get more parts. That you will be quitting as a Rental Girlfriend. Moving on. Which to me means that I will not be able to Rent you anymore and I suspect Moving on also means moving out. In all likelihood I may never see you again after you do Move on. To that end I am not going to put myself through that. So I will at least try to make it work with Ruka. She now is being patient and will no longer try to force me to be her Boyfriend or to love her. So I am willing to give it a chance. I wish you the best and I will not be renting you anymore. Which should make you happy that you do not have to deal with my pathetic idiocy any longer. You were the best Girlfriend anyone could have. I will miss you. Kazuya.'
Rereading the letter, he swallowed heavily. There was so much more he wanted to add. Like the fact that he actually believed he had a chance to be with her then he would take it. But he had to face reality for once. She was so far out of his league that he would need a Rocket to be in sight of her. Standing and reaffirming his resolve, he stepped out of his Apartment. Standing at her door, he placed the end of the Letter against her Mail Slot and closed his eyes. Hesitated several minutes before pushing it in. Bounding back to his room before he could change his mind. Going to bed he did feel in a word free. Sleep did not come easy to him that night. Awakening early he left not really wanting to confront Chizuku if she decided to ask him about the Letter he had placed in her Mailbox. Deciding to hide at Kibe's until he was sure he could actually face her.
Pulling the Letter out of her Mail slot, Chizuku unfolded it and read it. Then read it again. "DUMBASS! What the fuck? All I said was that I was Moving on and here he assumes...shit." Striding out her door, she went to his and pounded on it hard. Oh she was pissed. After several minutes she realized that he must have left already and was now in hiding. She wanted to hunt him down and confront him. Though she did not understand why she wanted to. Truth be told he was actually doing something to get them out of the Mess they were in. He had found a real Girlfriend and that is what bothered her. "I am a complete Dumbass! I should have told you when you told me that you wanted me. That I wanted you." She whispered and felt tears sting her eyes as she slumped to the floor.
The Date:
To say that Ruka Sarashina was happy would be an understatement. She bounded towards Kazuya with a gleeful laugh, throwing herself onto him. To her delight he kissed her lightly on the lips. Which at first shocked her, but then she smiled. He peered down at her with his arms around the small of her back while she had hers over his shoulders. "Ruka..would you be my Girlfriend?" He asked her and she squealed again, then kissed him roughly. Parting she smiled broadly at him. "Is that a yes?" He asked her with a smile.
"OH YEESSSSS! That is a definite Yes." Ruka shouted and lunged at him again. Pelting him with kisses as he held her up. He had to admit that maybe it would not be so bad after all. Ruka was pretty and at work numerous Boys tried valiantly to get her to go out with them. That made him think.
"Wait...wait...Ruka. Are you sure. I got to tell you I believe that you can do so much better then me. Some would want to know why you would want to be with such a pathetic loser like me." Kazuya said and she smiled.
"Yeah I am sure and I do not care what anyone else thinks. You have been the only one to get me up past 90. Keep doing that and I will be yours forever." Ruka stated with a huge smile. When he set her down, she checked her BPM again and giggled. Holding out her Phone to him. "Look 95 and that was just from kissing. Got to wonder how high it will go when we..." She leaned closer not wanting anyone nearby to hear her. "Spend the night together." She whispered with a gleam in her eyes and he gulped.
"We what?" Kazuya asked beginning to sweat. She smiled seductively.
"When we spend the night together. You know...Spend. The. Night. Together." Ruka insinuation made him feel faint. He began to weave back and forth with the thought of what that implied. "I would have suggested tonight, but I want us to have where neither of us has to get up in the morning and we have plenty of time to really enjoy it." She said and he gulped again. "So lets go celebrate shall we. I am thinking something where we can cuddle." Grabbing his right hand in her left, she lightly led him down the sidewalk. Only stopping when they reached a Movie Theater. "I guess this will do. Though I am not to crazy about the Movie."
Sitting near the back of the Theater, Ruka clung to Kazuya pressing her face into his side with his right arm over partially on top of her. A Horrible Monster had just ripped a Victim's head from his shoulders and it now held same head in it's clawed hand. "Tell me when it is over." Ruka muffled voice said and then pressed herself more into him when a Woman in the Movie screamed. He smiled and looked down at her.
"You know you might not like the Movie. But I kinda like this." Kazuya whispered to her and she looked up at him from his chest. She smiled. Reaching her left hand up to behind his neck and pulled him lightly towards her. Pressing her lips onto his and the Movie was now completely forgotten. They only stopped kissing when the house lights came on. Standing they left the Theater once more holding hands, with their fingers intertwined.
"We got to see more Scary Movies." Ruka said with a small chuckle and Kazuya laughed.
"Why not. Though we barely saw that one." Kazuya said back to her and Ruka shrugged. They continued down the street and as they turned the corner, they nearly bumped into Kibe. He stared at them and then their joined hands.
"Whoa dude! Are you cheating on Chizuku?" Kibe asked then glared at Kazuya. "That ain't right Kazuya. You been seeing Chizuku for over a year and..." He was about ready to once more hit his friend for being stupid.
"We broke up for good this time." Kazuya stated and then gestured with his head towards Ruka. "This is Ruka Sarashina...she is..." Before he could continue, Ruka quickly interrupted him.
"His new Girlfriend." Ruka said with a huge smile and Kazuya did not deny it.
"Yep my new Girlfriend." Kazuya said with a huge smile of his own. "We will all sit down another day and talk about this, along with do some proper introductions. Right now me and Ruka are on a Date." With that they passed the dazed Kibe as he watched them leave.
"How? How does he do it? First he was with Chizuku who is remarkably perfect and beautiful beyond words. Then now he is Dating another girl who is probably the Cutest Girl I ever met. How does he do it?" Kibe asked himself as he stumbled down the street trying to figure out how. Further behind him, Kazuya turned and gestured with his head.
"He won't tell anyone...not yet anyhow. He will be stewing over how I somehow got a new Girlfriend as cute as you." Kazuya said to her and Ruka beamed up at him. Then pushed him into a secluded spot and kissed him again. Parting she frowned.
"Why can't this be Friday. I so want to go home with you." Ruka said pouting and he pecked her on the lips. Then took her to the Train Station so she could go home. Once more kissing, she reluctantly got on her Train and as the doors closed. "Call me later okay." She told him and he nodded.
Confrontation:
Returning to his own Apartment Kazuya had a bounce in his step. Now completely convinced that he had made the right choice. His obsession with Chizuku made it nearly impossible for him to find an actual real Girlfriend and now he had one. One that in time and after talking to his Grandmother. He could introduce her to. Even though they had already met. He knew his Grandmother would be a little upset about the Break up. But she would accept Ruka after a month or so and Chizuku would be nothing but a pleasant memory. In his musing he was not prepared for when he noticed Chizuku standing outside his Door. She held he letter in her right hand. "We need to talk about this." She declared holding the Letter upwards and at him. Unlocking his door she followed him inside. "What the fuck is this?" She asked angrily and he inhaled softly.
"Exactly as it says. I need to move on like you will be soon." Kazuya said and Chizuku glared at him. Crossing her arms in front of her chest.
"I need to move on Mizuhara...I need to. If we keep doing this right up to when you do quit. I fear that I will not be able to...handle it. I was using you as a crutch. To keep myself from even looking for a real Girlfriend. Never even considering Ruka might be someone I could be with. Just because you are there." Kazuya said sadly and Chizuku bit her lip, nodding. "I just had a real date with Ruka and I...I want to try to be her Boyfriend. For her to be my Girlfriend." She exhaled and then smiled.
"You are right. You were using me as a Crutch. We both got to used to this situation and you renting me. It has been over a year and I have not had the same Client for even half that time. Most find real Girlfriends, or they decide that having a Rental is not as great as it seems. So they just stop renting me." Chizuku admitted reluctantly. She would miss her Wednesday Dates with him. She actually looked forward to them each week and they were a highlight of her day. "If you think Ruka will make you happy then I fully agree and support you." She took out her Phone and brought up his Name in her Rental Booking Account. Touching a symbol, he was Blocked from renting her anymore. She smiled at him as he noticed the words by his name. "Just to keep you from relapsing. But if you ever need to talk. I live right over there." She pointed over at her Apartment. Then with another smile, she opened the door and left. 'This is not Goodbye okay. After all we are Neighbors." When she closed the door he exhaled with relief. He had been tempted to throw himself at her and once more declare his love for her. Which in essence would completely fuck up his blooming relationship with Ruka. He sighed with relief that he had the will power to keep himself from doing that.
In her own Apartment, Chizuku dropped to her knees and began to cry. "I should have told him months ago. Told him that I had fallen in love with him. That I wanted him." She whispered in anguish. "Why did I have to be so professional? Why couldn't I just tell him?" She knew the answers to both questions. She was convinced that she needed to stick to her Strategy. The one that explicitly forbid her from being involved in a Real Relationship with anyone. Because of that she had royally fucked up. "Just have to let him go and maybe someday in the future we will be together." She said with a new resolve. Moving over to her bed to let herself cry.
Friday:
Kazuya found it strange and fun to be working at the Karaoke Bar with his Girlfriend. He would smile at her and she would smile at him. Now though he found it entertaining when some Boy would almost beg Ruka to go out with him and Ruka would simply tell the would be suitor that she had a Boyfriend. On a Break they followed the Company Rules about fraternization in the Workplace. But they could at least take a break together. She smiled over at him as she jumped up onto a counter. "I am really looking forward to tonight, Kazuya. Are you sure you want to go to your Place? We could try a Hotel again." She suggested and he knew why she made that suggestion. She was worried that he would not feel comfortable with Chizuku right next door.
"Only if you plan on being too loud and if you are sure you want to do it tonight. I am more then willing to wait." Kazuya said to her and she first shrugged then shook her head.
"Don't want to wait as for being loud. I have no idea if I will or not." Ruka hopped down off the counter and stood directly in front of him. Peering up at him with a small smile. "You will be my first time, so I do not know if I am what the internet refers to as a screamer." He swallowed heavily, now really unsure if they should or not.
"Uhm Ruka...I do not know if we should if I am...your first." Kazuya said and Ruka chuckled. Taking his right hand in hers.
"It is alright...I will be your first as well. Right?" Ruka asked and he nodded. "Then it will be our first time together." With the break over she gave his hand a gentle squeeze. "Do not forget to get a box of Condoms and I will meet you at your Apartment at 7 PM." She then left and he had to take a minute as he felt his heart almost explode out of his chest. After work, Ruka pushed him into the Alley from behind. Moving in front of him, she pulled her skirt up a couple of inches and jumped up onto him. Wrapping her legs around his waist and her arms around his neck. Thrusting her head forward she kissed him passionately. Parting a few centimetres she was breathing hard. "Oh God I needed to kiss you so badly all day that I could not stand it." She whispered to him then kissed him again. A few minutes pasted and she finally released him reluctantly. "Maybe I will just come back to your Apartment instead of meeting you there." She told him and he did not quite understand.
"If you want to. I still need to stop off at the Store though." Kazuya said and she gripped his hand in hers. Smiling happily. At the Corner, he went inside and bought a six pack of Condoms. Special ones that were designed for Virgins. Extra lubricated and a little thicker then the normal ones. He had done some research and discovered that the Special Condoms would be better for both of them for their first time. The thickness would prevent him from going to soon and the extra lube would make it easier and more comfortable for her. Stepping outside he saw Ruka leaning against the wall with three Boys attempting to get her Phone Number or ask her out. She shook her head.
"Sorry I got a Boyfriend and there he is." Ruka weaved her way past the three Boys and gripped Kazuya's hand. Turning her head towards the now disappointed Boys. "Better luck next time." She stated and then walked along with him. Noticing that he was frowning. "What's wrong Kazuya? Uhm was it those Boys that were hitting on me. I kept telling them the same thing. That I have a Boyfriend, but they would not believe me." He shook his head.
"No that is not it. I know you hate it when I mention Chizuku. But I got used to others hitting on her even when I was holding her hand. It basically is the same with you. If it was not for that Heart thing you have. I doubt that you would even associate with me. You are way too good for me. Way out of my league. You are so extremely cute that no matter where we are, others hit on you." Kazuya said and Ruka bumped him with her shoulder.
"But I have a Slow Heartbeat and you raise it. I told you it was because of how you saved Chizuku and that you cared a lot for her so you would treat your Real Girlfriend a lot better then that. So why do you think you and only you raise my Blood Pressure. Why do you think that is?" Ruka asked him and he shrugged. "It is simple. I fell in love with you and you make my Heart sing. I fell in love with at first sight. Cool huh." He smiled.
"Extremely cool. Oh by the way. I love you too." Kazuya said and Ruka began to walk faster.
"Come on...I want to get to your Apartment as soon as possible." Ruka stated and he found it funny he was having a hard time keeping up with her. Arriving at his Apartment, they climbed the steps and while he fumbled with his keys. Chizuku arrived. Passing the two, she said hello and then continued on. Biting her bottom lip as she noticed that Ruka was almost bouncing with excitement and impatience. She had inadvertently glanced into his bag and saw the box of Condoms. Opening her own door, she looked towards his and neither he or Ruka were there. They were inside his Apartment.
Inside her own, Chizuku kicked her bed in frustration along with a bit of envy. "Get it together Girl. They are dating. Of course they will be having sex. Don't keep thinking that it should be you in his Apartment about to get laid. I had my chance and I blew it." With that she checked her Account. Her number of Dates had decreased to only a few a week. Last night her Date had ended a good two hours early and she had to give the Boy a refund for the difference. She just could not get into it anymore. Something was off and the Clients were detecting it. She still acted the same, but her heart was not into it and she knew why. Kneeling she put her hands together. "I grew up believing in...you know Buddhism and I am not much of a follower in that. Slacked off for years. So I thought I might give you a try. So uhm God...any chance you could perhaps help me out here and maybe break them up. See I really screwed up down here. I let the Boy I...I Love and I sort of let him slip through my stubborn fingers. Would not mind a little Godlike intervention. Thanks." She stood and went to change into something more comfortable, then turn her TV Volume up. Not wanting to hear them for it would really upset her to hear them having sex.
First Time:
Standing in the middle of his Apartment, Kazuya felt his hands and knees begin to shake. Before him stood Ruka, she was peering up at him and he could tell she was just as nervous. Sure she had tried to seduce him before, but this was different. This would be their first time having consensual sex and they both hoped that there would be more times after that. Swallowing heavily he tried to stop himself from feeling nervous, then realized that it was a hopeless endeavor. "Kazuya..I think we need to...I will go into your Bathroom and while I am in there. You undress here and get into bed." Ruka said and he nodded. Fully agreeing with the idea. He doubted he could take his clothes off with her in the room, worried that she might point at his Dink-us and start laughing. Of course he would feel the same once under his sheet and she saw it then. She walked over to his bathroom and with a small smile, entered. With still shaking hands, he took off his clothes and slipped onto his bed. Pulling the sheet over himself. What felt like an eternity, Ruka came out wearing one of his larger Towels wrapped around her nice sized breasts and it hung a few inches above her thigh. Holding the sheet up, she slid in besides him and once laying down she pulled off the towel and tossed it aside. Both laid there unsure what to do. She looked over at him. "Kazuya I...I do not know what to do. Do you?" She asked him her voice sounding a bit sad. He shook his head.
"I guess we let nature take it's course. Though to be honest I have watched some Porn so I have a general idea what..." Kazuya stopped talking when he noticed that Ruka was blushing. Then she smiled.
"I sorta watched some Porn too...just to get an idea what we need to do." Ruka said softly and he smiled at her. "No Anal though. Not on our first time or from what I can tell, not for a long time after that." She stated and he stared at her in utter shock about to completely agree with her on that. Then noticed that the corner of her mouth were twitching. He chuckled and she laughed. "Feel better?" She asked and he smiled at her. "So what now?" She asked him.
"I would really like to see you naked." Kazuya finally said, she began to pull the sheet down then stopped.
"I think we both need to see each other naked. So lets lose the Sheet." Ruka said and with that they both pulled the sheet down and off themselves. Staring and admiring each other, they began to lightly touch certain areas. Feeling a little more confident, they leaned towards each other and kissed. Taking the initiative, she took hold of his right hand and moved it over her left breast. Spreading his fingers with hers and placing it fully on it. His hand was shaking. "Hey it is alright Kazuya. If you remember you have touched me there before." She said then giggled reminding him of the day he had accidentally groped her breast. He chuckled and began to lightly caress her breasts and liking how they felt against his hand.

(Oh by the way. I watched the seasons ending and I must say it is totally screwed up. Kazuya finally admitted to Chizuku how he felt and then blew it by covering it over like some type of chicken shit. He needs to man up and just tell her.)
