3rd October 1915
It had been 4 months since Rose and Henry had become a couple and whilst Henry didn't officially live with Rose and Emilia, he spent most of his time at Rose's house, and Emilia had picked up on the change. She had become very fond of Henry and loved spending time with him, and Rose was just grateful she had found someone who loved both her and Emilia, but despite how much time they spent together and how wonderful Henry was, Rose still hadn't told him about Jack or the Titanic…

6pm
"Hey" Henry smiled as he walked in to Rose's house. He had been at work that day, going over some stuff for the new upcoming play, but as Rose wasn't needed, she had stayed at home and spent the day with Emilia.
"Hi" Rose smiled a little, clearly exhausted as she sat on the sofa, watching Emilia who was playing on the floor. "Are you OK?" Henry frowned at her as he stroked the top of Emilia's hair "Hi darling" he smiled down at her, getting a wave and smile in response before he sat down beside Rose. "Yeah, I'm fine" she nodded. "No you're not, what's the matter?" He asked. "I just feel a bit under the weather, but I'll be fine" "how so?" Henry asked "just sick and exhausted, my stomach hurts a little, and my whole body aches" Rose shrugged. Henry looked at her concerned "should I get the Doctor?" He asked. "No" Rose shook her head adamantly. "OK… well let me make dinner tonight" he said. "Thank you… but I don't have any food in, I was going to go shopping today but didn't feel up to it. I don't feel like eating anyway though. I've got some bread in I think, so I'll make Emilia some toast, god knows she never complains about toast" Rose chuckled ever so slightly. "No, I'll take her out for tea and I'll grab you something whilst we're there and bring it back" he looked at her. "No, you don't have to do that" Rose smiled gently but gratefully. "I know, but I want to. You just get some rest whilst we're gone" he said as he kissed her temple then turned his attention to Emilia, who was still playing on the floor. "Emmy?" He said, causing Emilia to turn and look at him. "Should we go for a walk and get some dinner?" He asked. "Mummy come?" She replied. "No darling, just me and you. Mummy is going to stay here" he smiled gently at her, getting a suspicious look from her in response, something that made both Rose and Henry laugh. "Go on, you'll be fine" Rose smiled gently, watching as Emilia stood up and walked over to the 2 of them. "I'll grab her coat" Henry said as he left the room before bringing it in and helping her put it on. "Be good for Henry, OK?" Rose said before kissing Emilia's head. Emilia nodded as she climbed off the sofa and giggled as Henry lifted her up and put her on his shoulders. "Back soon" he smiled at her. "Thank you" Rose said quietly as she repositioned herself to lay down on the sofa.

7.45pm
Henry and Emilia had spent about an hour in the diner once they had arrived and Emilia had eaten every last bit of her grilled cheese, along with the cake and milkshake Henry had also bought her, but he soon noticed her beginning to rub her eyes and yawn.
"Come on, let's go and buy Mummy a sandwich then we'll head home" Henry said as he stood up and helped Emilia put her coat, scarf and gloves back on, before lifting her up at her request. He headed over to the counter to pay for his and Emilia's food before purchasing a sandwich for Rose and starting the walk home, noticing Emilia had fallen asleep on him almost immediately.
He entered the house as quietly as possible, trying to avoid waking Rose if she was asleep. He popped his head around the door to the living room and, seeing she was asleep, carried Emilia up to bed, trying to avoid waking her up as he took off her coat, but failing. "Mummy?" She said sleepily, assuming it was Rose. "No sweetheart, it's Henry. Mummy is asleep, do you think you can get your nighty on for me whilst I go and get you some water?" He asked, unsure if at nearly 3 she was capable of getting changed by herself. "OK" Emilia nodded as she rubbed her eyes and took the nightgown from him.
Henry returned a few minutes later to find Emilia sat at the end of her bed half asleep. "Here" he whispered as he passed her a cup of water, pulling back her covers gently as she had a drink. "Done… thank you" Emilia said as she held the cup up to Henry, who took it and placed it on her bedside table. "Come on, climb in to bed" he whispered, hoping his quiet voice wouldn't wake her up completely. He helped her in to her bed and placed the covers over her gently before passing her her teddy bear. "Try and go to sleep" he whispered as he sat beside her bed and stroked her hair, something he knew Rose did every night that helped her drift off.

Once Henry was sure Emilia was asleep, he headed back downstairs, placing the sandwich he had purchased Rose in to the fridge before going in to the living room to check on her, seeing she was beginning to wake up. "Hey sleepy head" he smiled gently as he sat beside her. "Where's Emmy?" Rose frowned confused. "Oh, I left her at the diner" Henry smirked. "Not funny" Rose joked as she forced herself to sit up. "She's asleep in bed, I didn't want to wake you" he smiled gently. "Oh, thank you" Rose replied gratefully. Henry brushed it off, seeing it as no big deal "I got you a sandwich from the diner" he smiled at her "I don't feel like eating, but thanks" Rose said with a small smile. "Please at least try some of it, you need to have something" he pleaded. "OK…" Rose sighed a little. "Thank you" he replied before going to the kitchen and returning with the sandwich and a drink a few moments later.
Within minutes of eating the sandwich, Rose was rushing off to the toilet to be sick… again. Henry followed her in to the bathroom and held her hair back as she continued to throw up. "I'm going to get the Doctor" he said firmly. "No, I'm fine darling, it's just a stomach bug" Rose insisted. "Well if it is, then great, but I'd rather the Doctor confirm it. Will you be OK on your own for a little while?" He asked, getting a small nod in response.
Henry helped her to bed before leaving and rushing to the Doctor's house, not wanting to leave Rose alone for too long…
