Tails here, with this new story, written mostly because I'm still having Writers Block with Black Flame Ruby, and I was figuring out how to proceed with Fairy Tail's Devil of Light and Dark. Now this first chapter rockets right through the Tenrou Arc, don't worry, that's by design, it's to show the power of this world's Ruby.
I do not own Fairy Tail or RWBY, they belong to to Hiro Mashima and Rooster Teeth, respectively.
Now, I possibly have one other new story I might type before getting back to Fairy Tail's Devil of Light and Dark, and seeing if I can get through the writers block on Black Flame Ruby. I'll tell you it's my first voyage into Highschool DxD, an it'll be a crossover.

In the middle of the ocean is an island, one side is all rocky, with spires of rock jutting out, and the other side is a lush yellow and green jungle, in the center of the island growing through rock and tree's is the root system of a massive tree, a tree so big it looks like it has a mini island on top of it. On said Mini Island is a small but comfortable hut, outside is 2 people and both look about 19, one is a woman, she has long, choppy, black hair with red tips, pulled into a low pony-tail, and silver eyes, she's wearing a simple, black robe, with red rose petals across the lower half and the sleeves, and on the back of her robe is a red symbol, that looks like a helmet, as well as common sandals. The other is a man with short black hair and black eyes, he's wearing a high collared, black robe with gold trim and a white toga draped around his torso and shoulder, and black boots. The 2 radiate auras of unparalleled power, wisdom and, oddly, detachment. They're both sitting at a small wooden table, playing chess. "So, have you thought about my offer, since I was last here, Ruby?" The man asks, moving one of his black rook pieces.
"Of course not, Zeref, I appreciate the offer to join your empire, when you go back, but this is my home; this is where I can never make the same mistakes I did before. You should settle down somewhere, away from people, stop making the same mistakes over and over, and get rid of all your demons, other than E.N.D of course, he's still human after all." Ruby says, using one of her white bishop pieces, to take one of Zeref's black knight's, then Zeref counters, taking said bishop with his rook, and he sighs, but chuckles a bit.
"I'm not like you Ruby; I can't go 300 years with minimal human interaction, also check." Zeref says, and Ruby huffs, not seeing a way to get her King out of check.
"How is it, that in the 290 years we've known each other, I've not once been able to beat you in chess, when you can't beat me in combat?" She asks, and he sighs.
"That's because I'm more tactical than you, and only Mavis has ever challenged me in that aspect." He chuckles, and she huffs, when she feels something through the sensory field around the island.
"I think it's time you left, Zeref, Makarov is here with this year's S-Class Candidates." She says, and he nods, as the 2 get up.
"Yeah, see you in the next couple months." He says, walking away, and she nods.
"Have a good rest before you leave, Alvarez is pretty far away." Ruby says, and he nods in thanks, she phases away as if she was an illusion, on a beach she phases back into existence, behind a small, old man, surprising 16 other people, a pink haired teen, rushes at her, with his hands engulfed in flames.
"Gramps, get away from their!" He yells, but Ruby lazily points her index and middle finger up, and a tornado spawns under him, launching him into the air.
"So Makarov, that must be the infamous Natsu Dragneel, you complain about." She says, and the old man, now known as Makarov, eyes widen.
"Ruby?! What are you doing here; you've never shown yourself to anyone but Precht, Warrod, Zera and I." Makarov says, and she bends down to his height.
"He's, currently on the island." She whispers, and he pales.
"Really, right now!" He whispers, panicked.
"Master, who's this?" A blonde girl asks, and Makarov sweats not knowing what to say.
"Makarov just tell the girl." Ruby says, and with a small magic spike, they see an air bubble appear, stopping Natsu from slamming into the ground.
"Oh, well, Lucy this is Ruby Rose, she is the caretaker for Tenrou Island." He says, and Ruby lazily looks at each person here, Natsu, a blue cat, Lucy, a girl with long, dark brown hair, two girls with long, blue and short, white hair respectively, a guy with spiky, black hair, and a guy with short, orange hair, that Ruby can tell is actually a Celestial Spirit, and is also very pale looking at her, a buff guy with spiky, white hair, a girl with long, light brown hair, a girl with short, blue hair, a guy with long, black hair, a guy with long, green hair, a guy whose face is obscured by a helmet, a guy with shaved black hair, and finally a young girl with long blue hair. Ruby observes the young girl, for a few moments longer than the rest, and with interest.
"Caretaker?" The girl with long, dark brown hair asks.
"Yes Cana, Tenrou Island has a Caretaker, do you really think the Guild would leave our sacred island unattended." He says.
"But…, why someone so young?" The guy with green hair asks, and Makarov chuckles.
"Freed, you shouldn't judge a book by its cover; Ruby is much older than she looks and…" Makarov chuckles. "…I'm not kidding about what I'm about to say, Ruby is far, far stronger than I am." He says, shocking everyone.
"Don't goof with us Master." The helmeted guy chuckles, they see Ruby glow red, and then they all feel as if they fell into a pit of magic, but it feels as if there's no end to it, when she stops letting her magic flow, the 16 of them fall on their butts, they all look at her in fear, and she rolls her eyes.
"That was only a fraction of my Magic, had I let my Magic go wild like Gildarts would, this Island would've been torn to pieces. As Makarov said I don't normally show myself to anyone but the Guild Masters, Makarov and before him was Precht Gaebolg, then there are two of the other Founders, I only revealed myself to tell him someone else is on the Island, he's not a member of the Guild, but he's someone I've known for a long time, he's the only person I allow on the island, and I mean that as it is, unless the Guildmaster uses Tenrou for the S-Class Trials, I don't even let other Fairy Tail Members onto the island." Ruby says, walking away and sitting on a rock. "Aren't you going to tell them your first test, Makarov?" She asks, and he shakes his head.
"I told them the first test on the boat, but waited until we actually got onto the Island to actually start to the test, considering what you did to Gildarts, all those years ago, when he did the test." Makarov says, making the group curious.
"What do you expect, I thought he was an intruder on the island, that's when you learned to inform me if you intend on using the island for the trials. Now before Makarov releases you, I'll tell you now, if any of you run into a young looking man with black hair and eyes, and wearing a black robe, leave him be, he's getting some rest before he heads home." She says; Natsu and Cana go to ask what happened between her and Gildarts, but are interrupted.
"What are you all still doing here, the test starts now!" Makarov yells, and they take off, once they've all run off, Makarov looks over to Ruby and huffs. "So, what do you think of all of them?" He asks.
"Aside from your spy, it seems like they could all go pretty far, especially Natsu and the other 2 Dragon Slayers. Speaking of them, who's the kid?" She asks, surprising him a bit.
"I should've expected you'd be able to tell they were Dragon Slayers, and her name's Wendy Marvell, the Sky Dragon Slayer." He says, and she hums.
"She seems too young to be an actual participant, so I'll assume your spy, is the contender and she's just his partner." She says and Makarov nods.
"So am I to assume Wendy has potential, since you've taken an interest in her?" He asks, but she ignores him, and phases away again, causing him to sigh.
(It's interesting to finally meet you, Natsu, brother of Zeref Dragneel.) She thinks, and about an hour later, we find an annoyed Ruby, watching Wendy and her partner, as they all see a red flare explode in the sky. (This dark magic, I feel headed here, what happened to you Precht, and why would you bring this scum here?!) She thinks, not happy at all.
"Mister Mest… what does that flare mean?" Wendy asks, when Ruby Phases back into existence beside the 2, surprising them.
"It means, the island is under attack, young one you need to get to the emergency rendezvous point, Mest you're coming with me." Ruby orders, shocking them.
"Wendy!" The 3 hear, and look to the sky, and see 2 more cats, like the one that was with Natsu, ones white, while the other one is black.
"Carla?!" Wendy yells, surprised.
"Get away from him, and possibly the girl!" Carla yells.
"Huh, so the guild has 3 Exceed, how are the 3 of you here instead of Edolas?" Ruby asks, curious, which surprises the 2 cats and Wendy.
"Miss Ruby, how do you know about Edolas?" Wendy asks.
"Oh, I've been there, pretty annoying place." Ruby says, grabbing ahold of Mest's head. "And before you 2 say anything… Memory Restoration." She says, and Mest's eyes widen at the large influx of memories. "Mest here is a member of Fairy Tail, but Makarov sent him to spy on the so called Magic Council, but the stupid brat, used his memory magic to erase his own memories, to fit in." She says.
"And this is Ruby, Master Makarov himself, introduced her, she is the caretaker of the island, Carla, Lily." Wendy explains to the 2 Exceed, then the 4 of them see Ruby's eyes, flick to a tree, and she taps, the ground with her right foot, and shocking the 4 someone is launched out of a tree, he is a tall muscular man, he has thick, dark brown hair jutting out in all direction like strips of leather, Dark brown eyes and tanned skin, he's wearing light green leather armor, orange pants and white boots, Ruby chuckles at the shocked look on his face when he lands.
"I'm surprised someone else in the world knows Great Tree Arc, and considering who you are, I wonder why Master Hades would send me ahead, specifically to deal with you." The man says, and Ruby sighs.
"So that's what he's calling himself now, he sent you because he didn't know I knew Great Tree Arc, the stripling barely knows a quarter of the Magics I know." Ruby says, surprising them.
"You're Grimoire Heart, aren't you?" Mest asks.
"Grimoire Heart, you mean the Dark Guild that's part of the Balam Alliance!?" Carla shouts.
"Yes, I'm Azuma, of the Seven Kin of Purgatory." Azuma says.
"This is bad, but at least I have a force of the Councils battleships." Mest mutters, then there's a bunch of explosion out in the ocean.
"You mean those ships?" Azuma asks, making Mest Pale.
"Dark Mages, huh." Ruby mutters, looking at Azuma.
(Dark Mage… Monster… You're not her!) Ruby hears in her head and sighs, then with a snap of her fingers, roots rip out of the ground piercing through Azuma splattering blood on the ground and making him spit up a lot of blood, and his Magic goes out of control as his body starts turning into a tree.
"What was that?!" Wendy shrieks, horrified.
"I forced his Magic to go wild, and make it react as if he overused his Great Tree Arc, I'd think you of all people, young one, would know that Magic's considered Lost, have drastic consequences, if overused. This is what happens to those who overuse the Great Tree Arc." Ruby explains.
"Wait you…" Mest says.
"Killed him, essentially." She says, turning away. "I'm not Makarov, I'm not soft like he is, if I run across any of the intruders, I will snuff their life out. You guys head to the rendezvous point." She orders again, walking away, and into the dark forest, and after a few minutes, she runs into Natsu and his Exceed.
"Hey you're the caretaker of the Island, do you know what's going on?" Natsu asks.
"The Island is being invaded by some Dark Guild, called Grimoire Heart, just over there is Wendy, Mest, and 2 other Exceed, I took care of an invader, seemed like a big name for the Guild, take them to the Rendezvous point, I'll handle the invaders. But if any get in your way, deal with them; they shouldn't be any trouble for you." She says, walking away, surprising them.
"Natsu, how did she know I was an Exceed?" The blue exceed asks.
"I don't know, Happy, but let's go get Wendy, Carla, Lily and Mest, whoever that is, and see this enemy she defeated." Natsu says, headed towards, Wendy's direction, and after another few minutes, he finds them.
"Natsu!" Wendy yells, happy, running up and hugging him.
"Hey Wendy, everything's going to be fine." Natsu says, holding her, and smiling. "I saw that caretaker woman, on the way over, she's the one who told me you guys were over here, she even defeated one the enemies, where are they?" He asks, and Lily points to a tree.
"The enemy became that tree, in short Ruby killed him." Lily says, shocking Natsu, when they see a bunch of bubbles floating out of the sky, which glow, releasing a bunch of people in dark outfits. Then we see Ruby appear in a clearing, catching an airborne and shirtless Makarov.
"Ruby?!" Makarov says, as Ruby puts him down.
"Ruby. Where's Azuma?" A man asks, he's rather muscular, he has white, slicked back hair and a long beard with a moustache, his left eye is green while his right is covered by an eyepatch, he's wearing a dark red shirt, dark yellow pants, black boots, a large, black cape, and a black horned Helmet.
(He's acting calm, but even Natsu could tell he's afraid.) Makarov thinks, noticing him pale.
"Precht, or do you prefer Hades, you made a mistake attacking Tenrou, not knowing every Magic that I know. Just by sending that guy, I know you were planning to destroy the Tenrou Tree, with Great Tree Arc, just so I'd be incapacitated. You didn't account for the possibility, that I knew Great Tree Arc as well. As for your lackey, he's dead." Ruby says, and Hades eyes widen. "As a courtesy, for your time as the 2nd Guild Master, I'll give you one chance to get off my island, if you're not gone in the next hour… I will show you, why I was once called the Cataclysm Witch." She says, and then with a Snap of her fingers and in a crimson glow, something appears. When the glow dies down, the 2 are shocked beyond belief, seeing what looks like a massive Weasel, except it's not furry, it's actually scaled like a lizard, said scales are black and white, aside from the red Fairy Tail Guild Mark on the back of its neck, it looks lithe but its body is actually very compact muscle, it's maw is lined with rows of sharp, dagger-like teeth, it's quadrupedal legs are ended in 10 crimson and razor-sharp claws each, 2 on each side of the paws then 4 in the normal area, and four over them, lastly is the tail, it's very large and lengthy, and covered in bone like spines. "Zwei, it's hunting time, and anyone who isn't Zeref, and doesn't have a Fairy Tail Guild mark on them is on the menu." Ruby says, and whatever the beast is, it seemingly nods, there is black smoke starting to billow from its mouth as it breathes, and it rushes off, into the island.
"Ruby, what was that?" Makarov asks.
"No clue, found it washed up on the beach, a decade back and nursed it back to health, he took a liking to me." She explains, and then off in the distance they see multiple massive explosions. "I also connected him to my Magic, so he can utilize every magic I know." She says, and Hades pales even more, and Ruby floats up sitting cross legged, staring at Hades.
"Precht, why are you in a Dark Guild?" Makarov asks.
"Just what are dark and light, Makarov? Can this world even be measured in Good and evil? I cannot leave; we are so close to obtaining Zeref." Hades says, and Ruby sighs.
"Zeref will not go with you, and if you awaken his anger, you'll lose this fight just as quickly, as when I interfere. Dark Mages know nothing of Zeref." Ruby says, shaking her head, then watches as the 2 fight and after a few minutes Makarov is taken down by a magic bullet through the stomach.
"Heal him, Ruby." Hades says, walking away, and getting away from her slowly growing rage, she points her hand at Makarov and he glows green.
"Just so you know, you have 45 minutes left, then you'll meet the old me." She says, and he pales, as he walks off, she then picks Makarov up and phases away with him, they appear back on the Cliffside, seeing Wendy, Natsu, Happy, Carla, Lily and Mest, fighting a bunch of enemies, she then snaps her fingers, and all of the enemies float into the air, after 20 feet, an orange emblem appears on their chests, and they notice it's absorbing the magic in the air, after a few minutes each emblem explodes, causing blood and body parts to rain from the sky.
"Why'd you do that, we could've taken them down without killing them!" Natsu yells, but cows, when her magic pulses.
"Fighting them, while holding back is useless, know this, they aren't holding back, they are fighting to kill all of you, I don't know what Makarov has been teaching the Guild, but this is the real world, the sooner you accept that, the more likely you'll survive this. Makarov made that mistake, holding back against a person he once respected, and it nearly cost him his life." Ruby says.
"What do you mean?" Mest asks.
"The Guild Master of Grimoire Heart, Hades, his real name is Precht Gaebolg, in other words, the previous Guild Master of Fairy Tail." She explains, shocking them, and points her hand out at a guy who's rushing a Wendy, his body is surrounded by gray and black flames, a giant bronze magic circle appears in front of him as a gray and black blast ruptures from the circle and displacing the sea, once the blast is gone, the guy is nowhere to be seen.
"You used a full-powered Abyss Break in a split second; but I've never heard of one so powerful before." Mest pales. (She completely obliterated that guy.) He thinks, she then whistles, and Zwei appears, freaking everyone out, on account of it being covered in blood.
"This is my pet, Zwei. Zwei, take them to the Rendezvous point, as well as Makarov." She orders, tossing Makarov on top of the beast.
"Why is it covered in blood?!" Carla yells.
"Because, I told him to hunt down the invaders." Ruby says, Zwei snarls. "And apparently he took down 80 of them, good boy." She says, horrifying them, but they decide to follow it none the less. "Mest, do your job, and go check on the Council members on the ships, Great Tree Arc, while powerful, Azuma wasn't near connected enough to the Island to use its power, to kill anyone that far away from his body." She orders, and he nods, teleporting away.
"I'm going to fight; I'm not going to hide!" Natsu yells, but shivers when she looks at him.
"Do what you want, but remember what I said, these invaders aren't holding back, and some of them no doubt, plan to do horrible…, things to the women on the island." She says, and his eyes widen, and she walks away. Then we cut to Zeref, who's sitting at the base of a tree, sensing the fighting.
"It's probably some ignorant Dark Mages, looking for me." Zeref mutters, and then sighs. "I should keep Ruby from really getting involved, or that beast could notice this place." He mutters, getting up when a woman walks into the clearing, she has pale skin, long dark purple hair and red eyes, she's wearing a skin-tight and sleeveless battle suit that's white and black with yellow trim, and a white hairband.
"You're…" The woman says.
"I assume you're one of the Dark Mages invading the island, no doubt looking for me, as many foolish Dark Mages do." He says, as his eyes go from black to red, with a concentric circle within, shocking her. "Now explain to me why you're looking for me, before I lose my patience." He orders, starting to release, his Magic. "And I mean the real reason YOU are looking for me, because I can see in your eyes, there's only one of them that you care for, so you're not here for your Guild." He says, surprising her. We then see Ruby walking along a Cliffside, she sees the white haired guy and light brown haired woman, being knocked around by a monster and guy, the guy has silver hair in a pompadour and gray eyes, he's wearing a dark purple jacket, over a gray shirt, black pants and blue shoes.
"What kind of magic… is that?" The white haired guy asks, hurt.
"I doubt scum like you could understand the beauty of my magic, even if I explained it to you." The Dark Mage says, and then he takes notice of Ruby, walking up.
"He's using, Arc of Embodiment, a Lost Magic, that allows one to materialize their imagination as physical entities." Ruby explains, shocking the guy, and she points her hand at the Dark Mage. "Embodiment Erasure." She says, as the monster, and his entire outfit fades away leaving him in only underwear, shocking everyone, Ruby's eye twitches, and she swings her arm, creating an arc of bright blue magic, vaporizing him in the attack. "Get yourselves to the rendezvous point." Ruby orders, walking away. Back with Zeref and the woman, that he now knows is called Ultear.
"You wish to bring you mother back to life…" Zeref says, and his eyes are back to normal.
"Yes." Ultear says, looking at him and sees him staring at his hand.
"It is possible to bring the dead back to life, but I advise that you do not make the same mistake as me." He says, shocking her.
"What, you tell me it's possible, and then tell me not to try!" Ultear yells.
"Bringing the dead back to life, comes with a high price. Do you believe I wanted to become Immortal?" He asks, surprising her. "I did not, the cost of bringing those you love, back to life, is being cursed with the inability to die yourself, and killing everything around, unless you become numb to life." He says, as his body gains a black glow, and he swings his arm out, releasing a wave of black, out towards the sea, Ultear's eyes widen, as she sees all the trees and plants wilt and die, while all animals just fall over dead. "This world has rules that you do not tread upon, the cycle of Life and Death especially. Now leave this Island, and take the one you care for, or I cannot guarantee your safety, Ruby is not like Master Makarov, she will kill any of you she comes across." He says, walking away.
"But, but what about my Magic, Arc of Time?" Ultear asks.
"It won't change anything, no matter how much you master Arc of Time; there is no changing the past." Ruby says, and Ultear flinches looking at her. "Now get off my island, before I run out of what little mercy I have." She says, and Ultear nods, afraid.
(Hades was right, that woman is scary, now I just need to deal with Gray.) Ultear thinks, running off. In a different clearing, we see a large tent, and we see the girl with short, white hair, but then we see, an older woman with long, white hair, as well as the older girl with messy blue hair, and the man with long black hair, who is laying on a bedroll, unconscious, he no longer has a shirt on and has a cast on his right arm.
"Well, so far it seems like Gajeel is the only one who's been taken down." The woman with long white hair says.
"It's still bad, big Sis, He's not on your level, but Gajeel is still pretty strong." The girl with short white hair says, when the 3 of them hear large steps, getting their attention, but they settle down seeing Wendy, Lily, Carla and a now awake Makarov, as well as Zwei, which scares them.
"There's nothing to be afraid of Mirajane, Lisanna, Levy, this is Zwei, he's the pet or familiar of the Caretaker of the Island Ruby, she ordered him to guide them here, while I was out." Makarov says, shocking them.
"Master, what do you mean, while you were out?" Mira asks, and Makarov sighs.
"I met the Grimoire Heart Guildmaster, Hades, and he beat me soundly, could've killed me if Ruby wasn't there." He explains, as Wendy runs over to Gajeel and starts healing him.
"Wait, you said Ruby is even stronger than you, but why didn't she fight Hades instead of you?" Lisanna asks, shocking Mira, making Makarov sigh again.
"That, Lisanna, is complicated; Hades… is my predecessor Precht Gaebolg." He says shocking the 3. "Because of his service to the Guild previously, Ruby is giving him a chance to change whatever foolhardy thought he has in his head, and leave the island. But, knowing Precht, he's not going change his mind; the man's as stubborn as a mule." He says.
"Master, is what Lisanna said true, that this Ruby girl is stronger than you, Gildarts told Erza and I, the Island had a caretaker, but didn't say anything more." Mira says, and Makarov chuckles.
"Admittedly, I never have sparred against Ruby, but I know I could never win, Ruby's power is… like an abyss, there seems to be no end to her Magic, to be honest, she could fight everyone on the island, right now the invaders included, and still win with little trouble." Makarov says, sitting down on a bedroll, leaving the group to think over his words.
"Elfman, Evergreen!" Mira says, seeing the guy with spiky, white hair and woman with long, light brown hair, walk into the camp.
"Master, are you even sure we can trust, this Ruby girl, she killed one of the Seven Kin that we were fighting." Evergreen says, shocking Lisanna, Mira and Levy, while making Makarov sigh sadly.
"That is Ruby's way; I cannot control what she does. I don't agree with it, but it would go against Master Mavis's wishes, if Ruby was excommunicated." Makarov says, confusing all of them including Gajeel who just woke back up.
"No offense Old Man, but what does the First Master have to do with the Island's Caretaker?" Gajeel asks.
"As I told Freed earlier, Ruby is much older than she looks; she is over 300 years old, Ruby is also one of our Guilds Founders, and from what I heard from my father, who was also a Founder, Ruby was like a parental figure to Mavis." Makarov explains, shocking all of them.
"So one of the Guilds' founders is still alive?!" Elfman shouts.
"Actually, 4 of our Guilds Founders still live." Makarov reveals, shocking them. "Precht was also one of our Guilds founders." He says. Over with Ruby, we find her walking through the forest when she finds Natsu, Happy and Lucy, they're fighting a huge overweight man with chalk white skin, brown eyes, and long, shaggy, black hair, a yellow robe that looks more like a cape, black superhero-like tights, and belts crossed across his chest, he has one hand down slamming Lucy into the ground and squeezing her head, while Natsu is stuck under some rocks. Ruby appears by the man, holding his wrist, and belying her small stature, she throws the huge man far into the air, far above even the mini island; she then points her index and middle finger up at him.
"Amaterasu: Formula 150." Ruby says, and the skies above light up with an explosion… for several miles. "Scum like you has no right to be on this island." She scowls, then with a snap of her fingers, roots move the rocks trapping Natsu. "You must not be tapped into your true strength, brat, that weakling shouldn't have given you any trouble." She says.
"What does that even mean?!" Natsu yells.
"Not my place to say, now what's wrong with you blondie?" Ruby asks, staring at Lucy, scaring her. "Since you have Leo's key, let me guess, he probably told you to be wary of me." She says, surprising Lucy.
"How'd you know?" Lucy asks.
"I'm not surprised, I did kill one of his previous holders, and nearly killed him as well. Now the fact that you couldn't even beat that weakling, both of you should get to the Rendezvous camp, and since I know Dragneel isn't good at listening…" She says, snapping her fingers, and Zwei appears, freaking Lucy out, then white chains made of magic, appear from its shoulder, and clasps around each of them, pulling Lucy on top of it and that chain disappears, as it drags Natsu away, while Happy just floats along. We then see Hades on his airship.
"Just as ruthless as I heard, you were, Ruby." Hades mutters.
"Is it time?" Asks a tall, muscular man, he has long, black hair gathered into a clothed ponytail with green strips, and Hades sighs.
"I didn't want it to come to this, but yes Bluenote, Meredy and Ultear are the only ones of the 7 Kin not dead, Ultear is fighting Fullbuster." Hades says
"And Meredy?" Bluenote asks.
"Meredy didn't lose, but she didn't win either, I guess we expected too much of her, you need to deal with Fairy Tail, and Bluenote, try your best to not find yourself against Ruby." Hades says, creating an Illusion of Ruby.
"This scrawny wimp, is the Ruby Rose, you so fear?" Bluenote asks, surprised.
"You should know not to judge a book by its cover, that explosion we just saw was her, it was an Amaterasu Formula even I'm not capable of using," Hades says, and Bluenote heads out. Back in the camp, everyone is talking when Zwei runs in, dragging Natsu and Happy, while Lucy is just sitting on top of it.
"Natsu!" Wendy yells, running up and hugging him again, after the chain disappears and he gets up.
"Hey Wendy." Natsu says, hugging her back.
"What are you guys doing here?" Mira asks.
"Ruby, pretty much ordered us to, and chained Natsu and Happy, to this thing." Lucy says, and Zwei growls at her, freaking her out, as she hides behind Lisanna. "Sorry." She yells.
"You should be, I could've left your sorry hide behind, but I'd rather not annoy my Master." They all hear in a deep voice, and Makarov is shocked and staring at Zwei.
"You're using Telepathy to speak!" Makarov yells, shocking everyone.
"Correct Makarov, I may have just been a Beast of unknown origin, back when I washed up on this island, but after 9 years, connected to my Masters Magic, its done wonders for my intellect." Zwei says.
"But how?" Levy asks.
"Honestly, even my master does not know how it happened." He says. "And for the reason my Master told me to bring them here, the 3 of them fought possibly the weakest of these, 7 Kin of Purgatory, and couldn't even hurt him. Such a disappointment you are, son of Igneel." He says.
"What's that supposed to mean you overgrown mutt!" Natsu yells.
"You are the Dragon Slayer for Igneel the Fire Dragon King, and the Host of incredibly powerful Demonic Essence, Simply if you were tapped into your full power, even Hades, as powerful as he is, would likely lose, and the 7 Kin, could do nothing against you. Your potential, is 2nd only to the young Sky Dragon Slayer hugging you." Zwei says, shocking everyone, especially Natsu and Wendy.
"Zwei, what do you mean by Demonic essence?" Makarov asks.
"I do not know the best way to explain it, but Dragneel has the pure power essence of a destroyed Demon, bound to his body." Zwei says.
"Is it anything like Satan Soul Takeover?" Mira asks.
"No, the Demons you've taken over are still alive in your body, the power in Dragneel, comes from a demon whose body was ripped apart on the lowest levels, and it's power ripped from it, and bound to Dragneel when he was young, the power, in all intents and purposes, is his to use as he sees fit." He says, surprising them.
"Umm…" They all hear Wendy.
"Yes, little one?" Zwei asks.
"Wh-what did you mean, when you said, Natsu has the 2nd most potential, after me, him and Gajeel are much stronger than I am." She says, looking down, but Zwei snickers.
"Mentality is half our strength, little one, you are weaker than them, because you think you are, but my Master is great at telling potential, and yours is staggering." Zwei says, surprising her and making her smile, they see a couple of crimson glows, they look and see Ruby, Cana, Freed, the helmeted guy the woman with long blue hair, and an armored woman with long red hair, but their shocked seeing Cana in magic chains, as Ruby throws her on the ground. The red haired woman rushes at Ruby, and her right arm turns to metal and she stops a sword slash with ease.
"Erza stop this instant, that is the island's Caretaker!" Makarov yells, shocking her and she jumps away.
"What… Gildarts mentioned a caretaker, and Juvia and Lisanna mentioned meeting her, but this is her, why do you have Cana chained up?!" Erza yells.
"Erza, silence!" He yells, shocking everyone. "Ruby, why is Cana chained up?" He asks, and is surprised when Ruby glares at Cana.
"Makarov, as you know, nothing happens on this island, without my knowledge, I see everything that happens on it." Ruby says.
"Yes, I know you're intricately connected to Tenrou Island, what does that have to do with the contempt you're showing Cana?" He asks.
"Lucy and Natsu over there were fighting a member of the 7 Kin, and Lucy almost died. That wouldn't have happened, if it wasn't for this selfish little brat." She says, shocking everyone, she snaps her fingers, and a large glowing orb appears, it flashes a couple times, then shows, Cana and Lucy sitting in a small clearing and Cana asks Lucy what she found out earlier, and Makarov is surprised Lucy figured out the location of Mavis's grave, but everyone is shocked when Cana pulls a card out and puts Lucy to sleep, and hides her in a bush and runs off. "Girl, you're lucky Makarov is your Guildmaster, he's understanding, If it was up to me, I'd excommunicate you, no matter you reason. What you did goes against the core beliefs, which this Guild stands for." She growls, shocking Makarov.
(I've never seen Ruby angry, given I've only met her a handful of times.) He thinks, when they all hear several loud crashes off in the distance.
"What was that?!" Lisanna and Lucy yell.
"That is Gildarts fighting the last member of the Dark Guild, who is actually a threat to all of you, normally Makarov would easily be able to beat this guy, but even with my healing, Precht did a number on him." Ruby says, and after a minute, Erza's eye's narrow.
"You said nothing happens on this Island without…" Erza goes to says, when the clearing ground crack, as Ruby's body glows red a little, and the island starts shaking, and she walks up to Erza, who starts sweating.
"Did I know Zeref was on the Island? Of course, I've known Zeref for 290 years, little girl, and let me tell you something about the so-called Magic Council. The council is a selfish governmental body that only cares about itself, they fear power, they fear Mages they can't control, and their propaganda against Zeref is akin to children throwing a tantrum, because they don't get what they want." Ruby says, and her Magic settles, and she phases away, she appears, by Zeref grabs him, then they phase away, and she grabs a defeated Ultear, as well as a girl around Wendy's age, she has short, messy, pink hair and green eyes, she's wearing a purple leotard, brown thigh-high boots, a red cape with gold lining, and golden winged headgear, and they all phase away, they appear on the beach, furthest from the Magic Council fleet, she holds her hand out at Ultear and the pink haired girl, and they glow green. "Ultear shoots up, and gets in front of the girl protectively, staring at Ruby.
"You healed Meredy, and I?" Ultear asks, confused.
"Yes, this is my last show of mercy, Wood Make : Boat." Ruby says holding her hand, and a brown magic circle appears over the water, and a large rowboat drops out of it. "Take Zeref and the kid, and leave my island." Ruby orders, walking away, after a few minutes, her brows furrow in annoyance, as she sees Natsu, Erza, Gray, Lucy and Wendy facing Hades, through her connection with the island, she then snaps her fingers, phasing away, and we see the Grimoire Heart Airship.
"Katsu!" Hades yells, and a near invisible force rushes at Wendy, but a mirror appears in front of her, shocking everyone, the mirror glows and turns upwards, and the ship's roof is just dust.
"PRECHT!" They all hear Ruby grind out, they see Hades go pale, they all look, and even the 5 of them shiver, seeing her eyes glowing silver with power and anger, and even a few of her veins are visibly throbbing. "Your hour is up, and Zeref's gone, time to meet the Witch." She says, walking slowly, as her magic starts to pulse, the airship starts shaking apart, and her body glows gold she rushes at Hades, and uppercuts him, launching him into the air. "Water Make : Poseidon's Trident." She says, as water coalesces in her hand, creating a trident, she proceeds to launch it at Hades, he creates a barrier, but the trident rips right through the barrier, and rips through his side. "By the Grace of Helios, Apollo, Ra, Amaterasu, Surya and Aine, I Beseech Thee : Prominence Nova." She chants, with her palm pointed at Hades, in the sky appears a giant orange Magic Circle with an orange stylized sun in the center of it, and a massive pillar of Black and gray fire, erupts downwards completely incinerating Hades. Natsu, Erza, Gray, Lucy and Wendy are beyond shocked, Erza and Gray are also horrified.
"How cou…" Erza and Gray try to say.
"Shut it, Little Belserion, Precht didn't just betray the Guild, he betrayed Mavis, I just punished him." Ruby says, harshly, when she feels another magic signature appears.
"Looks like I didn't need to come here after all, but I had a feeling gramps was in trouble." A voice says, shocking Natsu, Erza, Gray and Lucy, Wendy is confused by their reaction, while Ruby smirks, as they all look at a tall and buff man, with spiky, blonde hair and gray eyes, with a lightning bolt shaped scar down his right eye, he's wearing a white, hooded cloak, over a white jacket and a dark shirt, loose, dark pants and white, metal greaves.
"Laxus!?" Natsu yells.
"Well he did nearly die, a while ago, Boy." Ruby says, almost sounding a little playful.
"Good to see you again, Teacher." Laxus says, shocking them, but she smirks, though it's barely noticeable.
"Same, Boy, looks like your Excommunication really did wonders for you, I don't see any of that darkness you used to have." She says, and, shocking the four, Laxus looks down.
"Yeah, it was really the kick in the ass I needed." He says, shocking the four again, he then looks at them, and chuckles. "You look like shit, Gray" He says, pissing Gray off.
"What the hell did you say, Laxus!" Gray yells.
"I said, you look like shit." Laxus chuckles, but then they feel Ruby's Magic pulse, as the airship shatters apart, they look towards Ruby and see her looking off into the distance, and she looks beyond pissed, and afraid at the same time. "That can't be good, Ruby doesn't fear anything." He mutters, and Ruby snaps her fingers, the 7 of them phase away, and appear back at the camp, alongside the 3 Exceed, everyone is shocked seeing Laxus, but before anyone can say anything they all take notice of Ruby's mixed expression.
"Ruby, what's going on?" Makarov asks, leaving Laxus for later.
"Makarov you all need to leave now!" Ruby yells, shocking everyone, since this is the first time she's raised her voice, since they all met her, or in the case of Makarov, Gildarts and Laxus, it's THE only time they've ever heard her raise her voice.
"Ruby, what's going on, you never raise your voice, or get scared." Asks a tall man with orange slicked back hair and dark green eyes, wearing a black cloak, loose black pants tucked into simple gray boots, and both his left leg and left arm are wooden prosthetics, having a bad feeling as the stumps of his left arm and leg, and his stomach where 2 scars are, all start to hurt. Then everyone hears a loud roar, Ruby clenches her fists, so tight that she draws blood.
"He's coming…" Ruby say, and they all look to the clouds above the island, when they all feel a MASSIVE Magic Signature appear, the clouds part and they all see a mastodonic Dragon, covered in rounded, black scales with blue spiraling markings, aside from the underside of his body which are gray scales, all of which are surprisingly smooth, he has a blunt and rounded head, two large wings that are almost feathery, and a tail ending in a stinger-esque shape. "...Acnologia, the Black Dragon of the Apocalypse." She finishes, as it roars, gliding down. Out in the water a ways away we see Ultear, Meredy and Zeref, Ultear and Meredy are horrified seeing the Black Dragon, while Zeref is solemn.
"That's what I was afraid of happening, can you face him Ruby." Zeref says, getting the two's attention, as Tenrou Island glows red, and the seas around the island start churning.
"What was that, Lord Zeref?" Meredy asks.
"1, never call me that again, little one. And 2, I'm not even sure what could happen on that Island, now that Creation has met their Creator again, for the first time in 300 years." He says, confusing the 2, when they all look at the island and see a massive tornado launch Acnologia into the sky and the sky lights up with multiple miles wide explosions, for a whole minute, when the smoke clears, Acnologia is flying their, scuffed up, but pretty much unharmed, it then takes a deep breath, as pure magic swirls into his mouth releasing a massive bright blue beam onto the island, when the smoke clears from the Dragon's Roar, the island is gone.
Please Read and Review, there is a very big reason why Acnologia got to the island faster than in cannon, also the Zwei in this story is an Ebony Odogaron, for those who might wonder. And I really need to say this considering the last chapter of Fairy Tail's Devil of Light and Dark and this story, I have nothing against Cana, honestly I'm pretty neutral to her.
