Disclaimer: If I owned Disney, my series would be the first Disney Isekai series. For those who don't know what it means, it's a Japanese genre involving protagonists being sent to another world.
Episode XVIII (18): Turbo's Game
The heroes exited the van as it came to a stop and Omar was looking through the windshield and he asked noticing everything made of sweets like candy and cookies, "Am I the only one here who thinks that this would really drive a dentist insane?"
"I could think of worse things," said Bianca.
"Let's go," said Toboé. "I don't want to stay here longer than we have to."
Vandela agreed. "The sooner we find Turbo, the sooner we can stop him."
Figaro stated, "Be careful around here because you guys will be digitized if you die."
"We know not to let that happen," said Natius.
Mana asked, "How can we find that bug?"
"By going to the racecourse." said Zander.
Figaro stated, "Be on the lookout for a fox named Reynard. He's been on the run for years on poaching and for soliciting a duck to make purchases on a substance comes from the Warner Domain."
"It happened to be the substance Marius attacked Danyal with earlier," Oliver added.
Mahad stated, "Let's hope that fox doesn't have that gun Marius used."
"The weapon was confiscated upon the penguin's arrest." said Oliver.
Mana asked, "What kind of gun was that?"
"Some investigating is being done on the weapon," said Oliver.
Mahad asked, "What if we get caught?"
Natius answered, "We just need to stay communicated. Let's head to that race track."
Mana asked, "What if we run into Wreck-It-Ralph?"
"He won't bother us," Bianca assured her. "He's got his own problems to worry about anything else."
Mahad stated, "Let's just hope that he could help us."
"We can't trust him," said Anakin. "He's a villain."
Bianca asked, "Did your mother tell you not to judge a book by its cover?"
Anakin replied, "That doesn't change the fact that he's a villain. If we find Fix-It-Felix, he might help us out."
Bianca asked, "I wonder if Master Aqua can help?"
Danyal stated, "I bet that she is dealing with a stubborn penguin."
Mana asked, "Why do I feel this is an abandoned concept of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory?"
Mahad shrugged. "Let's just head to the racecourse." All of his friends agreed and began their trek.
When they arrived at the track, they King Candy in the stands, announcing that who would win this evening's race would be tomorrow's designated players.
Anakin looked at him in disgust. "Oh, no," he groaned. "It's the Mad Hatter lookalike."
Natius asked, "What do we do?"
"We should reveal him for the fraud he is," Bianca suggested.
Danyal cried out, "Hey Turbo! You should confess what you've done!"
She noticed an Arctic fox standing next to Turbo and she asked, "Who are you?"
""The name's Mint Fox," he introduced. "And how dare you? You should be ashamed of yourselves for being disgraceful to the king."
Danyal commented, "Let me rephrase this; your king is nothing more than a Trojan Horse! The only king he is king of, is the King of Deception!"
The arctic fox asked King Candy, "Should I have these impudent brats taken to the dungeon?"
King Candy answered, "Yes. Though I want you to separate the magpie."
Mana asked, "What?!"
Mint Fox ordered, "Lock those impudent brats up!"
Castle guards began surrounding the heroes, ready to arrest them.
Danyal asked, "What are we going to do?!"
Vandela cried, "I don't want to be locked up again!"
Natius heard a strange sound that sounded like screaming and rumbling. His attention was directed to a strange figure covered in green icing and stuck in a cupcake. He recognized that it was Wreck-It-Ralph. Unable to maintain his coordination, Ralph began rolling down the hill.
"Run!" Natius cried, seeing Ralph tumbling their way. The heroes escaped before they could get bowled over.
The guards, and the citizens of Sugar Rush started to be in a panic, seeing the strange creature.
King Candy was trying to calm the situation, unaware that the heroes were out of his sight. "Subdue the monster," he ordered. "And capture the brats who insulted me!"
"They're gone," Mint Fox informed him.
"Well, find them!" he shouted.
Mint Fox began to load his gun and a wicked smile crept on his face and he cried, "Time for some hunting!"
"No, you idiot," King Candy cried, snatching the gun. "You'll ruin everything if they see you with this."
Mint Fox asked, "Then how should I take them down?!"
King Candy gave him a glass ball filled with a strange liquid.
"What's this stuff?" Mint Fox asked.
"It's sugar alcohol," King Candy explained. "Smash it at their feet, and those kids will succumb to its fumes like they had too much wine."
Mint Fox smiled, "Thanks!"
He got in his racecar and began following the heroes' trail. Meanwhile, King Candy returned to the castle do deal with Ralph so the citizens would finally be rest assured that they were not in any danger.
Wreck-It-Ralph asked, "What in the world is going on?"
When King Candy was able to get Ralph out of his candy coated trappings, he immediately recognized them. When Ralph told the king of his situation about a medal being stolen, King Candy realized that the thief in question was a glitch named Vanellope Von Schweetz. The king came up with an idea and told Ralph a plan he figured would be mutually beneficial to them. He would help Ralph get back his medal if the villain could help him capture the group of children who disrespected him at the stands.
Ralph asked, "What do they look like?"
King Candy replied, "Figure that out for yourself!"
"Oh, that helps," Ralph said sarcastically.
"Okay, okay," King Candy said. "They're a group of kids, but taller than the average kids in most games. And they've got weapons and are accompanied by two kittens."
Ralph commented, "Kittens?"
"Yes," The king replied.
He cleared his throat. "Find them for me and I promise you if you do, I'll help you get back your medal."
Ralph set off to look for the heroes!
Meanwhile in another area away from the stands and Zander commented, "We got lucky this time. We need to think of a way to expose King Candy for the fraud that he is."
"That's not going to be easy," Figaro warned. "He has everyone in the entire game fooled into supporting him."
Natius remembered one certain character. "No, not everyone."
Jeanette knew who he was talking about. "Vanellope."
"Right now, the Mad Hatter lookalike is threatened by her and will do anything to keep her from racing," said Bianca. "We've got to get her to be in the race."
"How are we going to do that?" Jeanette asked.
Danyal stated to Figaro, "She is right."
Figaro stated, "We need to think of a plan to help Vanellope get into the race."
Danyal stated, "We have one problem. How are we going to do that?!"
While the heroes were discussing a plan, Mint Fox found them, but kept himself hidden. He looked at the glass ball in his hand and smiled to himself. "Now to give the term 'sugar rush' a new meaning. He tossed the ball and it shattered at everyone's feet, releasing the intoxicating fumes.
Everyone began coughing. "What is this stuff?"
Oliver knew what it was because Jenny would sometimes share sweets with him with the exception of chocolate and other foods that would be bad for cats.
"Sugar alcohol," he cried. And because his and Figaro's sense of smell was stronger, their noses were sensitive, causing them to succumb to the fumes.
Danyal felt herself blacking out!
The others began to feel dazed and lightheaded from the effects. "I don't feel so good," Mana moaned.
Mint Fox barked, "Place them separate from the magpie."
Danyal felt herself blacking out!
The others began to feel dazed and lightheaded from the effects. "I don't feel so good," Mana moaned.
Mint Fox barked, "Place them separate from the magpie."
Castle guards came and surrounded the heroes. After making sure everyone was in a state of unconsciousness, the guards restrained the heroes and carried them back to the castle in many carriages.
However the carriages split up four went ahead to a portal leading to the Forbidden Castle while the others were taken to the Fungeon.
One of the minions cried, "The deed has been done. What can we do with that boy who acts like an older brother to the flame brat?"
"He'll still be in the dungeon with the others," said King Candy. "And once I get to the Forbidden Castle, I'll finally be out of this stupid disguise."
One minion asked, "You have a disguise?"
Mint Fox argued, "Enough! I want to deal with that gerbil boy, Ani."
Turbo stated, "You need to be patient."
Mint Fox snarled, "That little rodent and I have some small business to take care of."
"He and the others stay in the dungeon," King Candy snapped. "Right now, we keep our focus on the descendants of the Walt Maidens and the magpie."
Once they all arrived at the Forbidden Castle, King Candy returned to his true form as Turbo.
Mint Fox was about to get out of his disguise as well, but Turbo stopped him.
"You're better of staying in that form for a while," he advised.
"Why?" Mint Fox asked.
"Because you're a fugitive from another domain."
Mint Fox stated, "I'm heading down the dungeon to have a nice chat with those brats."
"Don't do anything stupid," Turbo warned.
"Relax," Mint Fox assured him, and began walking down the stairs to the dungeon.
Zander heard the door open and he asked, "Where's Natius?"
"At the mercy of the Dark Masters," the fox answered. "Just as the rest of you will soon be."
Zander snarled, "If you hurt that boy, you will be dragged into a Cyber Hell."
"Worry about yourself," said Mint Fox. He looked around for Anakin. "You," he called to the boy. "We have some unfinished business to attend to."
Anakin looked at him and replied, "I don't know you."
Mint Fox answered, "I have been hearing that you are descended from a Jedi knight, is that true?"
Anakin replied, "Why should I tell you?"
Mint Fox answered, "I was the fox that hired the kitty to see if you had the potential for being a vessel for Chernabog."
Anakin gasped. "Chernabog?"
"Despite the fact that his film Fantasia was a box office failure, Chernabog was somehow able to rise as the sovereign of the Disney villains." said Mint Fox.
"But what does that have to do with you wanting to know if I'm of Jedi descent?" Anakin asked.
Mint Fox stated, "We wanted to see if your family had ties to the legendary Skywalker family."
Anakin pointed out, "I'm not related to that dishonorable bastard!"
Nausicaä began to laugh at the remark!
Mint Fox smirked, thinking he had struck a nerve. "Why so worked up over that matter?"
"Because I'm getting bloody annoyed of hearing anyone I come across make that stupid remark." Anakin growled.
"It doesn't matter," Mint Fox replied. "Whether you're related to Skywalker or not. I'm sure Chernabog would be willing to take you as a vessel."
"I think you're wrong," said Zander. "He won't just take anyone. By the way, you should ask Maleficent about that kid, something might surprise you. Also your little kitty girl got in trouble with them."
Mint Fox asked, "What?!"
Zander replied, "Ask the Dark Masters. Those guys will tell you everything. Unless you're scared of them."
The fox wouldn't admit, but he was afraid. After witnessing the execution, he didn't want to do anything he feared would anger the Dark Masters.
Zander remarked smirking, "I think I found your fear."
Mint Fox didn't want to admit his fear and he bragged, "They don't scare me."
Zander suggested, "Then ask your question to them."
Mint Fox didn't like his tone. "Are you challenging me? Are you trying to get me to do something that'll cause me to wind up dead? If so, I ain't falling for any of your tricks. Besides, you'd be afraid too if you had any idea of what those guys have done."
"We know full well," Zander replied. "We know how they've been kidnapping children and even killing their victims."
Mint Fox asked, "How do you know that they were killed?"
"We heard it from King Mickey." said Zander.
Mint Fox felt embittered by the mouse's name and Zander asked, "What's wrong? Bad blood with him?"
Mint Fox lied, "No."
Anakin cried, "Liar!"
Mint Fox had enough and he stated to Anakin, "I'll talk with the Dark Masters about you."
Zander stated, "You'll be in for a surprise when they tell you what happened."
Mint Fox snubbed the young man and he stated walking away, "I doubt it."
He didn't answer. He just left the dungeon as he heard them shouting and protesting.
Mahad snarled, "We have to get to those four who have been taken!"
Zander stated, "There's just one problem, we're trapped in this damned dungeon! We need to figure a way out fast."
"This dungeon is full of guards." said Anakin.
Mahad asked, "Is it possible for a guard with the key to fall asleep?"
"No," Anakin answered. "They would likely exchange posts."
Mana protested, "We can't stay there! There's a good chance that the Dark Masters will do something unspeakable!"
"There's only two of them," Zander reminded her. "We can take them easily."
One of the guards laughed. "You actually think Maleficent and Jafar are dead? Think again."
Vandela gasped with shock. "You mean they're alive?"
"That can't be," Mahad protested. "We saw the Sword of Truth go through Maleficent's heart. She has to be dead. And Jafar, he's supposed to be in the Cave of Wonders. The Genie sent his lamp there."
The guard answered, "That sword was pulled out and that lamp was retrieved."
"But how can Maleficent be alive?" Mahad asked.
"She was never killed," the guard answered. "She was only sealed. A boy from your world was summoned to draw the Sword of Truth and release her."
"Who was the boy?" Zander demanded to know.
The guard answered, "Brandon Kyle."
The name was not unfamiliar to Zander nor Mahad. Natius was a victim of Brandon's bullying. But neither of them could believe Brandon was working for the Dark Masters. What would happen if Natius were to encounter him in this place?
Meanwhile in a carriage on the way to the Forbidden Castle, Danyal awoke as she realized that she was lying on a material commonly found on carriages and she got up and peered out the window to see a dark castle that resembled Grimhilde's, but it was much darker.
She heard a voice saying, "This is what the Forbidden Castle looks like on the outside. Now you're going to tell me everything that I need to know."
Danyal stated, "I told you all the information you needed."
Turbo took out a smaller ball of sugar alcohol and Danyal was losing her patience and she asked, "Really Turbo? You're acting like a spoiled brat!"
The gates and drawbridge began to open and started to allow passage for the carriages.
Once the carriage was at a full and complete stop, Turbo exited the carriage and he stated holding the small ball of sugar alcohol in the window, "Tell me what I want to know about your little mishap in the Warner Domain."
Danyal stated, "I have already told you what you needed to know."
Turbo had enough of Danyal's stubbornness and he dropped the ball causing it to shatter on impact!
Danyal felt the fumes overwhelming her senses and she quickly lost consciousness.
Turbo ordered, "Take that girl to the interrogation room."
A minion that resembled a toon rabbit with black fur and cold blue eyes signaled a guard to take Danyal.
Natius woke up in a carriage and he peered out the window to see the castle of his ancestors' stepmother.
Turbo noticed that Natius didn't have Yuki with him and he asked, "Where's that fuzz ball?!"
"Right back at you," Natius countered. "Where's Danyal?"
Turbo answered, "That's not your concern."
"Yes, it is," Natius argued. "Anything that happens to any of my friends is my concern."
Turbo pointed out, "You don't even know her that much. She was never among your group of friends."
Natius realized what he meant, but retorted, "That doesn't mean she's not my classmate. I never thought that Danyal would look shorter than I imagined. I thought that she was average height for someone her age. She has no ties to you losers!"
Turbo took out a ball of sugar alcohol and he asked, "Care to answer my question about that rodent with you?"
Natius smirked, "She is somewhere where you will never commit cruelty to her! Ever!"
Turbo smiled, "Then I can have Jafar turn you into a hamster."
Natius scoffed. "What, are you going to kill me? Like you did with so many others?!"
Turbo answered, "Not yet."
"Then what's the point of all of this?" Natius asked. "You know we're not going to give in to you. Danyal's not going to tell you anything she hasn't already told Maleficent or Jafar. And yet, you continue to act like a spoiled brat who has to have a fit because you can't always have your way."
Turbo answered, "I plan to send you, that mouse with the gun, and that snarky rat to the Forbidden Castle's laboratory to see if the Mad Doctor can help us."
Natius having played Epic Mickey knew what Turbo was talking about and he cried, "Have you gone mad?!"
Turbo took out a ball of sugar alcohol getting annoyed with Natius.
"I'm sick and tired of hearing people lump me with that lunatic," King Candy said in frustration.
Natius wasn't finished. "Well, guess what? The Mad Hatter Called; he wants his character back!"
Turbo snarled, "Don't test me."
Natius wasn't finished. "And making sugar alcohol bombs? That's a waste. At least the Mad Hatter would make proper use of sugar by mixing it in his tea. Even the March Hare and the Dormouse would be ashamed."
Turbo asked, "Why would they be ashamed?"
"For insulting the Mad Hatter's character," Natius told him. "Sure, he was mad, but in a cheerful way. Your humorous ways are cruel."
"I'm a villain," King Candy reminded him. "What do you expect?"
"Yeah, a disgraceful villain," Natius replied. "I'll never understand how you got to be a Dark Master."
Turbo answered, "Let's just say that Hades was a potential candidate."
"I bet you schemed and cheated like you always do," Natius figured, "all so you could win their favor." He smirked and came up with another insult. "You know what? You're like an evil Mad Hatter poisoned with Grimhilde's envy. I also bet the real reason she chose you was to annoy the hell out of the others and she probably just felt sorry for you knowing what a pathetic bug you are."
Turbo asked outraged, "What?!"
Natius replied, "You're just a pathetic little bug that told the jealous queen a sob story to trick her into electing you. Or better yet, you cheated your way."
King Candy had enough. In a rage, he shattered the ball of sugar alcohol at Natius's feet, causing the boy to breathe in the substance. "This ought to teach you to mock me!"
Natius was starting to feel sick. The fumes were stifling and his head started hurting. He then fell into a state of unconsciousness.
The last thing Natius heard before everything went black, "Take him to the laboratory. Let's see if the Mad Doctor is up for a challenge.'
A few hours later, Natius awoke and he found himself on an experiment table to see Brandon and he asked, "What are you doing here Brandon Kyle?!"
Brandon frowned at him. "Well, I didn't exactly choose to come to this place. Believe me, I can think of much better vacation spots than a dump like this."
Natius wasn't in the mood for games. "Answer me," he demanded.
Brandon slightly flinched in reaction to his tone. "The wicked fairy Maleficent brought me here," he answered.
Natius asked, "Did you really pull out the Sword of Truth?"
"What if I did?" Brandon asked.
Natius was outraged. "You have no idea of the danger you're in, do you? I don't know how Maleficent convinced you to work for her, but she and the others can't be trusted."
Brandon looked away. "I got enough problems with them not trusting me."
"Then why are they keeping you around?" Natius asked. "Brandon, nothing good can come from serving the Dark Masters. They'll just use you until they decide to kill you."
Brandon had no awareness of the seriousness in Natius's words. If he did, he would realize how incredibly right Natius was. If the Dark Masters were able to get Brandon to completely give in to the negative emotions of hate and anger, they would likely consider using him as a vessel for Chernobog. But if he did anything to betray them, then the Dark Masters would resort to killing Brandon. In either case, the Dark Masters would benefit.
But none of that was on Brandon's mind right now. "They won't kill me," he boasted.
Natius stated, "Mark my words, you are going to be facing a brutal stabbing to the back!"
Somehow Brandon was threatened by those words. He knew the Dark Masters didn't trust him completely, but he didn't think they would betray him. But he knew he had to be careful.
Natius didn't like Brandon because he was always a victim of his bullying, but he didn't think Brandon had to be at the mercy of the Dark Masters. "Think about what you're doing, Brandon."
Brandon asked Natius, "Is it true that Mr. Virgil has been missing?"
"More than that," Natius was saying, "the Dark Masters are keeping him prisoner."
Brandon didn't believe him. In all the time he had spent in the castle, he had never seen Mr. Virgil.
Natius was considering asking Brandon to help him find Mr. Virgil and escape, but he feared doing so would get Brandon brutally punished by the Dark Masters. He had heard from Vandela and Toboé how those villains would kill anyone who would try to betray them.
Brandon asked, "Should I look for him?"
Natius answered his eyes intensified by the fear that struck him when he saw Mr. Virgil revealing the burning red eyes after removing his sunglasses, "No.'
"Why not?" Brandon asked, suspicious of Natius's change in behavior.
"Trust me, Brandon, for your sake, don't go sneaking in places you shouldn't or the Dark Masters will be suspicious."
They both began to hear voices. Someone was coming to the room.
It was Turbo!
He looked at Brandon and asked, "What do you think you're doing here?"
"Just paying a visit to our guest," Brandon simply replied.
"You're not supposed to be making contact with our prisoners," said Turbo. "Get out of here!"
Brandon growled and left the room.
Author's Notes: looks like the heroes have been separated? Will they reunite and escape? Tune in next episode. I would like to give special thanks to MillenniumPrincess for her help.
