She was now back into the same warehouse that she had met Optimus and the other autobots, sitting on a large box with her right foot raised on another box. It was still aching terribly as she sat waiting for Optimus and the other autobots to return. And she was nervous. Saphira did not know what the autobots would do. Mirage himself seemed genuinely concerned about her at this time, which Saphira was grateful for. But he was pacing in front of her with a concerned expression. He seemed to be just as worried as she was. Saphira did not really know how she was going to explain what happened to Optimus. She doubted he would actually understand, but she was not sure. These were intelligent beings, she did not know where they came from, but they were intelligent. And they knew English, so…he might understand, but he also may not care.

Mirage sighed as he kept pacing back and forth in front of Saphira. He stopped as he placed his hand on his hip, frowning as he glanced around as they wait for the others to get back. "They are honestly so damn so!" He groaned as he rolled his head back, looking up at the ceiling with a frown before he turned to Saphira. "I don't want you to be feeling too much suspense…but…it isn't my fault."

"I know…" Saphira shivered as she was still cold from the drenched dress she had on, and the warehouse itself was cool. She hoped they would not be there for too long. "I…I r-r-really need to go to the hospital if Optimus allows it, Mirage." The autobot softened his expression as he nodded in agreement. "I-I know he is only w-w-worried about m-me spilling about your existence…I get that…I-I r-r-really do. But…no one is going to believe me."

"And I am afraid you will find it hard to convince Optimus of that fact, Saphira. Even I did. But I do not know what Optimus will do. Though I can reassure you of one fact…" He raised his index finger to show he meant it. Though Saphira was not sure if it will be true. "Optimus is not the type to kill for the sake of it. That is not his style at all. He does kill when he needs to."

Saphira swallowed nervously as she did not feel better from those words. "Um…but…h-he c-could still kill me…couldn't he?" Mirage was unconvinced that Saphira would be killed, but she was clearly worried about that anyway. "I…I…th-that is what I am w-w-worried about, Mirage…plus…I-I s-s-still a-a-am scared of you."

"Of me?! Well…well…" He rolled his optics with a scoff, pacing in front of Saphira again before he stopped and faced her with his hands on his hips. "That hurts, Saphira. I am the least scariest guy around here. Honestly, I would have thought because you trusted me enough to help you of that alley, you would not be scared of me." She shrugged and just looked away from him. "Ah well…I guess I kind of get it though. I am big, and I can crush you if I ever wanted to…so that's what makes me scary, I guess."

Saphira smiled a little at his response before she just looked down, shivering and feeling her teeth chatter from the cold. "I…I am sure I will get over the fear…but…I-I c-c-can't say when…b-b-because I-I d-d-don't know…" She sniffled a little as she knew she was pretty much trapped. "But…I-I a-a-am g-g-glad you w-w-want to…t-t-try and be a f-f-friend…but…I-I a-a-am not sure still…"

Mirage stepped closer to her and dropped down to one knee, reaching out and taking Saphira's hand gently with his fingers. "It will be okay, Saphira. While I may not fully know what the big man intends to do, I do know for a fact that you are stuck with us. Most likely, Optimus will want someone watching you all the time. And since I have been doing that, I'll be the one to do that…mostly because I doubt that your apartment manager would be too pleased to see a big old truck part in the garage…though I don't think he'd fit…"

Saphira believed that, but she still worried about what more the autobots would do to her. Mirage was definitely the nicest, but she did not knw much about Arcee or Bumblebee, so she really did not know if they were nice or not. Until she knew them some more, she would find out. But as for Optimus, he has so far seemed very brash and disgusted by her presence. She didn't know if there was a personal dislike for humans and if there was a good reason, but she really could not tell.

Saphira jumped as she heard vehicle engines approaching and Mirage stepped back from the girl, looking towards the entry and smiling a little. "Ah, finally! The band has finally arrived!" She frowned at Mirage's enthusiasm, and the bot smiled at her. "Don't worry, you will be fine." She still did not believe that, and she was fearful of what might happen. "Arcee, how lovely to see you back here!"

Saphira saw the Ducati 916 rolling into the warehouse first before the bot transformed. Arcee looked at Saphira and widened her optics as she saw the tattered dress, cuts and bruises to the girl's body. "Mirage…" She lifts her hand to her head and rolled her forehead in irritation. "You were told to find the girl. Not do anything to her."

Mirage stared at Arcee in shock as he raised his hands defensfily. "Woah, woah! What the hell, Arcee?! Are you seriously trying to point the finger at me?" He looked at Saphira with wide optics. "Can you believe it? Arcee just accused me of doing that to you!" He shook his head and folded his arms. "I am ashamed that you would even think that I would do that, Arcee."

"If it was not you, then who did it?" Arcee walked over to Saphira and the girl jumped when Arcee began to scan her. "Stay still, human. I will be able to see the extent of your injuries, and Optimus will determine if…"

"But, Mirage did not hurt me…someone…um…th-the p-person I-I w-w-was supposed to meet tonight…h-he…and…" Saphira grimaced as tears fill her eyes as she remembered it. Arcee seemed to believe the girl though as the femme listened to her. "Well…this…" Saphira gestured to herself with her hand. "This is the…e-e-end result…"

"I see…" Arcee did not seem to comment or react much to the girl's words. "If it was not Mirage, at least that will eliminate one issue. Though…" She frowned as she was reading the results of the scans of the girl's body. "Hmm…but I am afraid the end decision will not be from me. It will be from Optimus Prime."

"I know…and…I w-w-will wait." Saphira hunched a little as she shivered. She wish she could get herself dried and warm soon, but she could only wait. She saw the camaro entering the warehouse next and she took a deep breath. "I guess that pretty much leaves your leader…"

Bumblebee transformed and he looked at her curiously before he frowned. "Did you get jumped on by some kind of gang?" He asked through the radio and Saphira gave a half-hearted shrug and nod in response to the autobot's question. Bee's frown deepened a little. "That happened in such a short time."

"Oh yeah. She was hiding under a beam when I found her in the alley." Arcee glanced at Mirage and narrowed her optics slightly. Mirage rolled his optics at her. "What? I did not do nothing to her, Arcee. Stop looking at me as if I am the one who attacked and hurt her. That is not my style and you know it. I much rather have fun than fight something smaller than me."

Arcee smiled a little at Mirage. "I am honestly just teasing you right now, Mirage." The bot seemed relieved to know that, but he was still upset by it all. "Though it is interesting that this happened so quickly. I would be curious to know the story behind it."

"I kind of know the story, since I was there when that guy screamed as Saphira for getting a new car." Mirage placed his hand on his hip, lightly tapping his fingers as he thought back to it. "Personally, I did not understand. And I feel like I was doing Saphira a favor by bringing her here…though she still ended up being beaten…or whatever happened." He turned his head as the headlights of the freightliner truck shine into the warehouse. "About time. The big man always seems to be the last to get here."

Arcee frowned at Mirage and placed her hands on her hips. "Mirage, you do know Optimus drove a little further than you might think. It took him a bit longer to get here. Stop acting like a sparkling, you're much older than that." Arcee herself was happy that Optimus finally arrived. She smiled as Optimus began to transform as he entered the building. "Mirage has ensured that the human was found and brought back, Optimus. Though something happened to her."

Optimus did not say anything as he completed his transformation. Saphira kept her head down as she was fearful of looking up at his face. She did not know what he was thinking right now. He was undoubtedly looking at the injuries she has sustained from the attack. "Well done, Mirage." She flinched a little as Optimus spoke to the younger autobot. "I am pleased you were able to locate and bring the human back here."

Mirage shrugged slightly with a smile. "Ah, well, you know me. I do, do a good job when needed. But…" He glanced at Saphira and saw she was keeping her eyes staring at the ground. "Well…as you can see…she was attacked…I kind of know who it was, but she is very hurt."

"I can see that." Optimus dropped to one knee heavily, making Saphira flinched and glance up briefly before looking back down. "However, what happened is not my concern." He observed the girl silently before he turned to Arcee. "Arcee, have you been able to access the damage to the girl's body?"

Arcee nodded and pressed her hand to the side of her head to bring up a hologram of Saphira's body. "She has multiple bruises and lacerations to her body on her arms, legs, stomach and face. She also appeared to have a cracked rib and a sprain ankle. Whoever attacked he did not aim to kill, but they did make sure she was injured." She turned off the hologram and looked at Optimus. "My guess is she would need to see a human doctor."

Mirage nodded affirmatively. "That is what she said she needs. That way she file a report and get the thugs arrested for…"

"In doing so, she might reveal the existence of us on this planet." Saphira looked up at Optimus with a frown as Optimus's accusation. She quickly shook her head as she did not want him to think that. "I am afraid I do not believe you, human. I do not know what you plan to say, should you go to the police. You might end up just telling them all about us autobots to them."

She shook her head again. "N-No one w-w-would e-e-ever believe me…I…I a-a-am p-pretty much…I a-a-am only important a-a-at work…n-nothing else…s-s-so…non one w-w-will believe me. They w-w-would laugh and t-t-tell me to go to a m-mental hospital." Optimus was still unconvinced as he narrowed his optics at her. "I only w-w-want to get my a-a-attackers charged and p-put in jail."

"Again, you could tell the authorities…"

"Sure, I could." Saphira flinched as Optimus narrowed his optics at her for interrupting him. "But…y-y-y-you d-d-don't even know me, Optimus." She looked down, taking a deep breath as she tried to get herself warm from the cold. "I g-g-get it…y-y-you w-w-want to stay hidden. But…unless y-y-you w-w-want to deal w-w-with me, Mirage's m-mistake, now…I g-g-g-guess I would accept it. M-My l-life isn't that great anyway."

"I do hope you did not mean to say you would kill her when you said that," Mirage said hopefully as Optimus observed the human quietly. "Look, I know the girl better than you. I've observed her this whole time." Optimus turned his head slightly and simply glared at Mirage. "She isn't the type to go around spouting stuff to people. Trust me on this one, Optimus, I know what I am talking about. It is your fault for not wanting to observe and understand humans."

Optimus growled a little and looked back at the girl. He could see she was visibly scared of him, and she was shivering a lot. He pondered on what they should do with her now that she was back. "Fine. I will not cause harm to you, human." Saphira was a tad annoyed he kept calling her human, and not by her name, but she did not interrupt him. "But now you know of our existence. This means we will be watching you closely."

"I-I understand…I w-w-won't run…" Saphira doubted she could run without being tracked somehow anyway. "I just d-d-don't w-w-want to be hurt…I w-w-will listen to you. Um…and I-I w-w-will try to not be a nuisance…I g-g-guess this means I have rules to f-f-follow or something…right?"

Optimus said nothing for the moment as he observed the girl silently. He was processing what she had said to him while deciding on how to respond. It seemed to him that she will be cooperative, and that was a good sign. He just hoped that she would not become uncooperative. "There will be rules for you. Mirage will be the one to keep a close eye on you. He will take you to the hospital so you can check those injuries." Saphira was extremely relieved to hear that, though she did not reaction outwardly. "But…" Uh oh…there's a but. "I understand you have a job to go to, correct?" She nodded slowly. "That will be fine. But as for your place of residence, you are to leave it." Wait, what? Saphira widened her eyes in shock. "I do not care how long it takes to get things sorted at your apartment. But we need to keep a close eye on you. This includes ensuring you are under our watch at night."

Mirage had a deep frown on his face as he could not believe what he heard. "I'm sorry…but…what the hell?" Optimus glared at Mirage as the young bot began to question him. "When humans go to their homes or apartments to sleep, they don't leave it. Some do…though they usually get up to mischief…but Saphira is not that." Saphira did not make any agreements with Mirage as she did not want to make things worse. "Why should Saphira give up her apartment? We're essentially making her home if we do."

"I'm…kind of in agreement with Mirage," Arcee admitted slowly with a shrug. She seemed concerned by the idea of Optimus wanting to keep a close eye on Saphira this way. "It seems…a tad extreme. I get you are concerned, Optimus…considering…how you feel about our situation, but making Saphira homeless is not the way to go."

"I do not intend on keeping her from a home forever. Just until I can trust her enough. Right now…" Optimus leaned down slightly, making Saphira jump and back away from him a little, though she didn't move much as she didn't want her right leg to fall from the box she was resting it on. "I do not. You have already run from us." Saphira guessed that was why Optimus wanted to keep a very close eye on her. "I could imagine you trying that again."

She shook her head, even though it was likely that was not going to convince Optimus at all. "Well…I-I…d-d-don't know w-w-where I w-would even go anyway…" Saphira swallowed nervously as she took a deep breath. "Um…could…c-c-could it b-be possible…t-t-to take me to the hospital now?" Optimus did not react, only glare at her. "Or…w-w-whenever you decide to let me go…but…I a-a-am cold…and wet…I-I d-d-don't need to get sick on t-t-top of everything else…and y-y-you d-d-don't need to be t-t-trying to keep a sick human comfortable."

"Yeeeaaaahhhh, we really don't want that to happen." Mirage smiled at Saphira as he agreed with her, though he flinched when Optimus turned his head to glare at him. "I am not kidding, Optimus. You haven't seen humans purging or sneezing and coughing so much?" Optimus did not respond, though Mirage was sure that he has. "I am sure you have…you don't need that happening. Cause otherwise she will need things like…soup…medicine and…something else…" Mirage shrugged as he tried to think of it. "I can't remember."

Optimus looked back at Saphira who was waiting to see what was going to happen. "The decision has been made about your place of residence, Saphira. I want to keep a close eye on you, and that includes ensuring we know where you are at all times." She sighed a little as she guessed there was no use in arguing with Optimus on this. "Once you have sorted out your current place of residence, I will be the one to house you during the night." That was a surprise again, but no one said anything. "But if we happen to locate, as I am sure you overheard, the decepticon called Transit, I will have Bumblebee or Arcee keep an eye on you." He glanced at Mirage again who seemed offended. "I am not a hundred percent sure if Mirage will keep you from running."

"Wow, your lack of confidence in me is really blinding, Optimus," Mirage said bluntly with a roll of his optics. "You gotta give me more credit…but I guess…I'll just be here to help Arcee and Bumblebee as back up."

"Um…this…Transit…" Optimus growled a little at the mention of the decepticon's name, making Saphira flinch. "If…um…he sees I am with you…would I-I become a target? Just…curious…" She figured she could become a target. "I-I don't w-w-want to become…a liability for you…so…is th-there anyway f-f-for me to…help spotting him?"

"You want to help us find Transit?" Arcee asked in surprise and the girl nodded slowly with a slight smile. Arcee couldn't believe what she was hearing. "Um…no, no, no, no, that is not something you need to worry about. Although…being aware of the possible danger is a good idea, just not looking for him for us."

Optimus was also surprised that this girl wanted to help locate Transit. "I am in agreement with Arcee. You are not to go looking for someone who does not concern you. Transit will be an issue that we will deal with. But if you do happen to come across a badge similar to ours…" Optimus points to the painted badge on his shoulder pads. "But has sharp spikes to the helm, that will be a decepticon badge. If you see it on any vehicle, make sure you do not inform us until you are with us. Transit will not be fooled, he will know you know of our presence and he will take advantage of that fact of liability."

"Right…I understand…" Saphira still figured she could help to a point. Even if she did not go out looking for this Transit they were searching for. "Anyway…c-c-could I be taken to the hospital? I need to go, Optimus. I might be kept there overnight due to the injuries and needing to get a police report started…just in case you wanted to know."

Optimus was not too happy with the idea she would be stuck inside a large building without them watching, but he would ensure that they were near the hospital. He stood up and turned away from Saphira to look at the autobots, making her feel relieved he was no longer glaring at her so closely. "Mirage…" The autobot smiled immediately when addressed. "You are to take Saphira to the nearest hospital. While she remains there, Arcee, Bumbleee and myself will keep a close eye of the hospital in case Saphira makes a runaway. Make sure you keep track of her movements."

Mirage seemed a little annoyed that Optimus would be watching the hospital as well, but he was unsurprised. "I got it covered." He turned to Saphira with a smile. "Alright, guess we should get going." He glanced at Arcee and gestured to Saphira. "She will need a hand walking. She can't put any kind of weight on that ankle."

Arcee frowned as Mirage transformed. Saphira felt awkward so she slid herself off the box carefully, moving her right leg so she would not hurt herself. "No, no, no! I…I will be able to do it." Saphira braced herself on the box beside her, looking at the Porsche in front of her. He was close, but it was also so far from her. "Okay…well…" She carefully began to walk forward, though when she put weight on her ankle, she hissed and nearly stumbled, though she managed to keep herself from falling. "At least you aren't far, Mirage."

Arcee watched Saphira and realized why Mirage had asked her to help. She hadn't realized how painful the sprained ankle would be, though she should have known. She walked closer to Saphira, making the girl jump and flinch away slightly in fear. "Here…" She held her hand out to Saphira and the girl looked up at the femme before cautiously taking her hand and leaning her weight a little. "We don't want you to waste too much more time."

Saphira felt a tad embarrassed that she had needed help, but she was grateful. "Thank you, Arcee." Saphira walked over to the door and reached to brace herself on the car once Arcee helped her close enough. Saphira sat in the seat with a sigh. "I guess…I'll see you…tomorrow…maybe…"

Mirage closed the door before anyone else could say anything before he drove out of the warehouse. Saphira was able to relax a little more now that she was no longer under the firm eyes of Optimus Prime. Still, she was not sure how to feel. She was under the careful eye of the autobots now. She glanced at the sideview mirror and saw Arcee, Bumblebee and Optimus transform to follow before Mirage turned onto the road. She was glad to not be in the rain, and she felt warm air on her skin as Mirage had turned the heater on.

"I hope…I hope you are okay, Saphira," Mirage said to her gently as he observed her expression and body language. "Don't take Prime personally. We have been through a lot, and he carries a lot of weight on his shoulders." She didn't know what that was yet, and she was curious about where they come from. "I would tell you about who we are, where we come from and all, but until Optimus decides to explain it to you, I am afraid you just have to wait."

Saphira was fine on waiting. She didn't want to push it. "I…I am just surprised he wants me to…abandon my apartment…" She also realized that the new position that Arthur wants her to take might also be in the trash because of the autobots. She felt tears fill her eyes. "You should have just dropped me off, Mirage…" She sniffled a little as the tears fall from her eyes. "Good things were happening…and even if I got attacked…I would still have something good, but now I must abandon it."

"I am sorry…I…" Mirage felt guilty as he felt responsible for it. "I guess it is better than being dead." Saphira rolled her eyes and placed her elbow on the window, resting her cheek on her hand. "You need to know that we won't be here forever." She did not react to him. "Well…I am not sure how long though…Transit might have a ship that will allow us to leave this planet. It is not home…and if that happens very soon, you won't have to deal with us anymore, Saphira."

"And what if he has no ship?" Saphira argued as she stared out of the window. "I guess I will be stuck with no way to move up in my career…all because your leader needs to keep me on a leash…but hopefully if he learns to trust me…"

"That's the thing, Saphira…I am not sure if he will." She frowned a little and looked at the dash with a confused expression. "I…I really don't want to have to say it, but…Optimus really does not trust humans. While Bumblebee has had a good experience with one human, there were humans who tried to hurt Bumblebee and Optimus does not want us to be harmed. I know it might sound crappy, but…we all have no way to get back home…" She listened to him before looking out the window, glancing up at the sky to the stars. "And Optimus feels like it is his fault that we are here. We've been able to remain hidden for a long time, but we would rather go home, no offence."

Saphira pondered on what Mirage had said. She looked at the sideview and saw Optimus several car lengths behind them. Mirage gave her a different perspective in understanding him. Though Saphira did wish Optimus would be kinder, but maybe it was frustration that was being vented to her…that would make sense. But the fact that they may not be able to get home made her worry for her future a lot. She hoped to figure something out before the opportunity to become an international relations person at the company slips by.

"I guess I can understand from his view…but that should not excuse him telling me to leave my home." She shook her head in disbelief. "Though I guess it wouldn't be the first time…"

"Why did you runaway from your parents when you were sixteen, anyway?" Mirage asked with keen interest.

She softened her expression and smiled a little. "I…that…that's a pretty personal question…" She glanced out the window and looked back at Mirage. "I'll make you deal. When I get told about more about yourself and your planet, I'll tell you about…my…the reason why I left my parents."

The autobot chuckled in amusement at the deal she put on the table. "Oh, really? Is that how it is going to be played? Fine…I guess I can agree to that. But only after Optimus gives me the greenlight to do so."

"I know, I won't push you."

Saphira felt a little better now that she and Mirage had been able to chat a bit more. It was nice that she was now able to understand Optimus's apprehension about her through his eyes. She had no idea Bumblebee met a human before, but that piece of information likely wasn't necessary to tell her, so they did not tell her. But Saphira really was not looking forward to ending her lease on the apartment early. She did not want to. But she would figure that out soon.

Mirage drove Saphira to the hospital by the emergency room where she met a doctor who had just arrived at the hospital. When the doctor saw the state Saphira was in, she was brought inside quickly to be examined while the police were contacted as the doctor knew that Saphira had been assaulted. Saphira was glad that they had done that, and she gave statements to the police about Arthur and Claudia. With that, the police would go and find evidence. She was not sure, but the restaurant could have a camera that saw what happened, or at least the start. The next thing would be to contact Arthur about not being able to work because of the incident. He was going to be very shocked to learn about it, that was for sure.
