Author's Note: Here's another chapter. As always the characters apart from Sophia belong to Kurt Sutter. Sophia belongs to me.
Chapter 2
Happy had been gone for three days now and Sophia was healing slowly. So far only Bobby and Chibs had stopped by to check on her. Half-Sack had been doing her grocery shopping for her. But she was itching to get out and do something. She was also dealing with writers block and needed something new. That chance came when Fun Town arrived in Charming. Finally something that would occupy her time.
The past few days her husband has been generous in his calls. Checking on her and spending their nightly calls doing more than talking. Anything to keep her husband from suffering from blueballs. Getting up out of bed Sophia grabbed her cell and called her husband. He answered on the first ring, "little girl?" His voice always soothed her no matter his mood. "I'm fine babe. Fun Town is here and I plan on going. I'll take it easy I promise. How's the job going?"
She was curious but knew he wouldn't tell her anything until he was home. Home where he can relax and unwind. "It's going good. I'll be home day after tomorrow." She could hear noise in the background which meant he was busy. "Have to go. Love you babe." She smiled as she got dressed for her day out at Fun Town. "Love you too babe. Have fun!" She snapped her phone shut and grabbed her keys. She could only do so much so she wouldn't be going on any rides.
Sophia parked in the grass and got out of her car. Having texted Tig that she would be there. She liked to make sure her husband didn't have to worry too much about her. So she let the brothers he did trust with her know where she was going. It helped that the prospect had escorted her to the fairgrounds. She quickly took her pain pill and left to have some fun.
Amongst the people she saw the small little talk between Elliott Oswald and Clay Morrow. She sneered at the president of her husband's club. She really really didn't like the man. Clay was someone that made her skin crawl. He was just as manipulative as his wife Gemma. That was a woman that Sophia never wanted to be friends with. She wanted no part in that woman's scheme's.
As the day went by Sophia began to enjoy herself. Occasionally sending a text to her husband letting him know she was fine. It was the sound that caught her attention. The scuffle and the sound of a little girl brought her onto the scene. Witnessing a carnie trying to get away with a girl. Her blood boiled with the implications of what this man wanted. The fact they weren't near anyone else was suspect enough. "Hey! Let her go!"
She rushed the man and pushed him away from the girl. "Get out of here Tristan." She knew when she got closer that it was Elliott's daughter. As the girl took off running Sophia was blindsided by the man. She bit back her scream of pain as the action tore at her stitches. The pain was so severe she didn't even notice what the man did to her. Not until afterwards and he was done with her.
As he left her half clothed and steadily bleeding from her stitches being opened. She quickly grabbed her cell and called her husband. He would always be the first person she would call. Rustling caught her attention then she saw Tristan and her parents. Elliott called for an ambulance as her husband answered after the third ring.
"Hap..." Her voice alerted him to something being wrong. "Happy...I need you." She was in a lot of pain and beginning to fade. Hands pressed down on her bleeding stomach. Trying to stop the bleeding as she did her best to stay on the phone with her husband. "On my way little girl." She felt at peace knowing he was on his way.
She woke up in the hospital and her husband there. It was like deja vu with him clinging to her hand. Sunlight lit her room up and the beeping from the heart monitor filled the room. As she shifted in the bed she hissed in pain. "Little girl?" His dark eyes took her in and she could see the anger in them. Anger at who attacked her and by time night rolled around she had no doubt the man will be dead.
Her doctor came in right before she could speak. "Mrs. Lowman how are you feeling?" She liked that this doctor didn't beat around the bush. "I'm okay doc. How am I looking?" She looked at her husband as she heard his growl. Squeezing his hand she returned her attention back to the doctor. "You're looking good. No internal bleeding which is good. A bit of tearing as expected from an attack like this. And we had to restitch you since your attacker forced the stitches open when he attacked you."
He did his routine, checking her vitals and charting what he saw. "Now you will also be taking some antibiotics just to be safe along with your pain meds. There is some bruising around your chest and inner thighs. Your husband had us run the rape kit but he says not to run the DNA. I know by now what Samcro does for the people. So I'll let you talk to your husband and do my rounds. We'll be keeping you here for a few days for observation."
With that he left the room and Happy caressed his wife's face. "Tell me angel." His tone turned soft but there was still anger in it. Her husband was ready to get revenge for her and she would let him. "I heard a scuffle and Tristan trying to get away. So I went to investigate and saw the guy try and drag her off. I pushed him away from her and told her to run. But he caught me by surprise and tackled me. Luckily his arms broke the fall for my back but his attack ripped open my stitches."
She paused and let her husband help her drink some water. He liked taking care of her and she liked doing the same for him. "I was in too much pain to feel him rape me. But I felt the aftermath when he left and I immediately called you. I guess Tristan rushed to get her parents because they found me. Elliott's wife I think put pressure on my stomach. While he called for an ambulance and Tristan cried. After that I blacked out from the pain and blood loss."
Sophia laid back as her husband took a moment to process what she said. "Do you know who it was?" He was holding it together for her and she knew it. "I saw him when Jax played one of the games. It was the clown guy who worked the dunk tank. I guess whatever happened there pissed him off." She looked out the window of her room and squeezed his hand. "Happy...make it hurt. Make him suffer for me."
"I will angel. I will make it hurt ten fold." He stood up and bent down to kiss her softly. "I'll be back later little girl. For now rest but I have the prospect keeping guard. I love you little girl." She returned his kiss before pushing him away. "I love you too babe. Go hunt killer." She watched him leave the room as she relaxed into her bed. She could see Half-Sack standing guard and felt better knowing someone was watching over her.
Happy left his wifes room and found his brothers and Gemma hanging around the waiting room. Elliott and his family off to the side. Tristan immediately came up to him with tears in her eyes. The girl was only 13 and would have suffered a fate no child should had Sophia not been there. "How is she? Can I visit her?" Happy looked at his family and then placed a hand on the girls head. "She's fine. You can see her tomorrow. Shouldn't feel guilty, Sophia did what she did to protect you."
He nudged the girl back towards her family and watched them leave. He knew it was only a matter of time before the cops started asking his wife questions. "Jax." His dark eyes looked at the clubs vp. "The clown working the dunk tanks." He didn't need to specify not when they understood what he meant. This guy tried to rape a little girl only to be stopped. Turning instead to rape the woman who stepped in. The guy was a dead man walking and soon he would be a dead man.
It was night time when Sophia heard the door to her room open. Officer Hale stepped in and gave her a slight smile. "Mrs. Lowman I'm sorry for disturbing you. But I have some questions to ask you about your attack." She sighed and nodded but inside she scoffed. It was already too late because her husband was already taking care of it. "I'll tell you what I told my husband." And she did only she left out a few details.
After only what seemed like an hour the officer left. Half-Sack closing her door and letting her rest in relative peace. She was already drifting back off to sleep so she didn't mind being alone in her room. Right before sleep claimed her, her cell beeped. Reaching over she grabbed it and opened it up. A text from her husband letting her know it was done. She smiled and shut her phone then fell asleep.
The days past in a blur apart from the times Tristan and Happy visited her. The girl was so full of life and it made her glad she saved her. Her husband was her rock and supported her through her attack. She had the occasional nightmare but all in all she was healing rather well. Refusing to let it drag her down. Happy brought her laptop so she could work while she was in the hospital.
It was the fourth day though that made her giddy and beaming with happiness. She was going to be leaving the hospital finally. So as she showered and dressed her husband filled her in on what has been happening. The fundraiser being a hit once more. Kyle's ink not being blacked out which caused them to burn it off instead. And the new fact that Wendy and Jax were working things out. They weren't together but for the sake of their unborn baby they had to hash things out.
"I'm supposed to be up in Nevada tomorrow. Want to take you with me but know you can't ride that long." Happy has never hooked up on runs. Ever since they got together he has stayed loyal to her. Refusing to ruin what makes him happy by seeking pleasure from others. No his wife was the only one who held his attention now. The only one he wanted to be with no matter what.
"Has Tara been hanging around him?" She was honestly hoping that Jax didn't go back to seeing her. "No it seems like the advice I gave him sunk in." She raised her brow at her husband. "Advice? Hap baby when did he ask you for advice?" He chuckled at her look and started gathering up her things. "Day after I handled your attacker. Wanted to know what to do about Tara, Wendy and his unborn son. So I told him that until he could juggle being a dad and work for the club. He shouldn't get into bed with an old flame. After all whats to stop her from hurting him again."
He lifted her bag and held out his hand for her. "Wendy needs him in her life. I told him that they should focus on being just friends and work on raising their son. He doesn't need the shit Tara will be bringing into his life right now. So he is staying away from her and letting himself get comfortable with being a dad. Kid will be born soon anyways so he has to fix his house up."
Sophia took his hand and let him lead her out of the hospital and into her car. He would be driving so she wouldn't have to. "How was the job?" She was curious now and wanted to know. "Was good. Tacoma had a informant problem. I handled it and finished right before you called me. I told Quinn and Clay I wanted to transfer here. So the vote is tonight. But I want you to be there with me."
Instead of driving them home he took them to the clubhouse. Everyone greeted her as she walked in. Hugs were gentle and smiles were welcoming. Chibs and Bobby stuck by her when Happy was pulled away by Jax, Tig and Juice. Juice was one of the members she just couldn't trust. He was weak willed and easy to manipulate. He was nice sure but she just couldn't bring herself to trust him.
She spent hours talking to the boys as they hung around. Then Clay called for church and she was left with the prospect who was busy cleaning up. An hour later her husband walked out with a smile on his face. He was now a member of the mother charter and she couldn't be prouder. His mother was in Bakersfield while she lived here. He wanted to be close to his mother even though he lived with her.
The party for him lasted well past midnight but her husband was happy. After they got home he helped her get ready for bed. "I love you Happy." She let him tuck her in before he joined her in bed. "I love you too Sophia." He gently pulled her into his embrace. Finally able to sleep beside his wife once more. And sleep they did with dreams that made the night all the more peaceful to them both.
Author's Note: The further into the story I go the longer the chapters will be. Currently I am rewatching the show for a little bit of insight. I'm not going to detail each episode but the ones I plan on changing for this story. I'll have another chapter out as soon as I can! Happy reading everyone!!!!
