Leia wasn't sure where she was.

All around her, there was nothing but darkness—an abyss devoid of any semblance of light or hope. The air was thick with an eerie silence, broken only by the faint sound of her own rapid breaths. She ran, her feet pounding against the cold, unforgiving ground, but it felt as if she was trapped, unable to escape the suffocating grip of the void.

Whispers began to echo through the oppressive darkness, whispering voices that seemed to slither through the very fabric of her being. They were hushed and indistinct, their words dancing on the edge of comprehension. A shiver crawled up Leia's spine, her senses alert to the unsettling presence that enveloped her.

As she continued to sprint through the desolate forest, the whispers grew louder, their distorted cacophony seeping into her consciousness. The once-familiar world around her became distorted, twisted, and distorted, as if reality itself was unraveling before her eyes. Shadows twisted and elongated, taking on monstrous forms that seemed to leer and taunt her from the darkness.

Leia's heart raced, her breath ragged as she pushed herself forward. The forest seemed to stretch endlessly, each step carrying her deeper into a labyrinth of nightmares. Panic gripped her, its icy fingers tightening around her throat. She desperately searched for an escape, a glimmer of light to guide her out of this haunting nightmare.

Finally, she reached an opening in the forest—an ominous clearing bathed in an eerie glow. A dark, gnarled tree stood at its center, its branches contorted into grotesque shapes. It beckoned to her, whispering promises of answers and revelations, drawing her closer against her better judgment.

But before she could approach the twisted tree, a sudden burst of blinding neon light erupted, consuming the darkness and the twisted scene. The brilliance was overwhelming, flooding her vision and casting the horrors of the nightmare into oblivion. It was a stark contrast, the clash of darkness and light, evoking a sense of both relief and uncertainty.

Leia's lips parted, her throat constricting with a desperate need to scream, but no sound emerged. The weight of silence pressed upon her, suffocating and stifling, as if her voice had been stolen by the very essence of the blinding light that enveloped her. Panic surged through her veins, her mind racing to comprehend the inexplicable shift that had occurred.

As the brilliance consumed everything around her, the nightmare began to dissolve, giving way to a slow and gradual transition into a new reality. The dream's tendrils loosened their grip, relinquishing their hold on Leia's consciousness as the blinding light gradually receded.

Through the fading illumination, Leia's vision adjusted, revealing two faint outlines standing before her. Their presence, once hazy and indistinct, solidified into tangible forms. She strained to make out their features, her eyes squinting in an attempt to bring clarity to the figures that materialized before her. However, her attempt ended in vain.

Leia struggled to move, only to find herself immobilized. Her limbs felt heavy and unresponsive, as if shackled by invisible restraints. Panic started to course through her as her memories came back to her, pieces by pieces. The last thing she remembered was running from her pursuers inside the raging storm, and being cornered by them. And then… and then what happened? She tried to remember, but her memory was hazy. One thing was for sure, this place was not the beach. And she wasn't really sure how he got here.

She wasn't even sure where she was now. The first thing she noticed was the strong stench of antiseptic, bitter and harsh, and thick enough to be felt on her skin. Leia knew that she was lying on a bed somewhere, probably on a hospital bed, as she could see the blank white ceiling on top of him as she lay awoke. She blinked a few times, and tried once again to move his body, but a strong sense of pain immediately overwhelmed her that she was forced to stop. Just then, Leia heard a woman's voice coming from her left.

"Oh, you are awake?" she tried to move her head to see who was speaking, and found a young woman with auburn hair and green eyes standing beside her bed. "Please don't strain yourself."

"Where… where am I?" she forced himself to speak. Her voice was hoarse and dry, Leia almost didn't recognize it. It's as if its not her own. Her throat hurt painfully, and it felt dry. Leia wondered how long it had been since she last got water.

"You are in hospital right now," the woman replied, and Leia stared at her blankly.

"Hospital?" she asked. "How… how did I get here?" the woman shook her head as if to dismiss Leia's question. Instead of answering her, she said, "I will go get the doctor for you. Doctor!" The woman called, moving briskly out of her sight, but Leia could still hear her voice. "Doctor! The patient is awake."

Leia's heart raced as the woman's words echoed in her ears. Hospital? How did she end up here? Her mind searched for answers, but her memories remained elusive, fragmented pieces floating just out of reach. Frustration mingled with the rising panic within her, intensifying the urgency to unravel the mysteries of her current situation.

"Oh, is that so? I will be right there," the doctor responded to the woman's call, his voice calm and reassuring. The sound of approaching footsteps drew Leia's attention, and she turned her gaze towards the doorway. A middle-aged man in a white coat entered the room, his face etched with concern. He must be the doctor. His presence offered a glimmer of hope amidst the sea of uncertainty. He approached Leia's bed, carrying a small flashlight and a gentle, calm demeanor. His experienced hands skillfully examined her, checking her pulse and using the flashlight to assess her pupil reaction.

Leia complied with the doctor's instructions, trying her best to cooperate despite the pain and discomfort that coursed through her weakened body. The beam of light from the flashlight danced before her eyes, momentarily blinding her as the doctor conducted his examination. After what felt like an eternity, the doctor stepped back, a hint of relief gracing his features. Leia's heart skipped a beat, yearning for answers, for reassurance that she would be alright.

"From my initial assessment, it appears that you are in good condition," the doctor declared, his voice carrying a note of reassurance. "You were dehydrated and malnourished, likely due to the extended period of time you spent in an unconscious state. But rest assured, we will provide the necessary care to aid in your recovery."

Leia's parched throat yearned for water, a desperate reminder of her physical needs. She mustered the strength to speak, her voice barely a whisper. "How... how long have I been asleep?"

The doctor's eyes softened, understanding the weight of Leia's question. "You have been unconscious for about a week. But now that you are awake, we can focus on getting you back to full health."

"I see…," Leia said. "How… did I get here?" she asked again, and this time, a man's voice came from her left.

"I and Mabel found you unconscious on the beach, one week ago." Leia turned her head to the left, and felt her heart almost came to a complete stop.

Leia's eyes widened in disbelief as she turned her head towards the source of the voice. Her heart skipped a beat as her gaze fell upon a talking silverback gorilla standing by her bedside. Dressed in denim overalls, construction boots, and a white shirt, the gorilla's appearance was both extraordinary and bewildering. It was a sight that defied logic and challenged the boundaries of Leia's understanding.

Her initial shock gave way to a surge of fear, and an instinctual urge to escape gripped her. Screaming and ignoring her weakened state, she mustered all her remaining strength and lunged towards the door, desperate to flee from this surreal encounter. But her legs betrayed her, unable to bear the weight of her fragile form, and she crumpled to the ground in a heap of exhaustion and defeat.

Before Leia could fully comprehend what had just transpired, Jasper swiftly moved to catch her, his massive arms wrapping around her gently yet securely. Leia's breath came in ragged gasps as she stared into the gorilla's intelligent eyes, a mixture of fear and confusion still clouding her thoughts.

"Hey, hey! Calm down," Jasper's voice resonated with a soothing reassurance. "We won't hurt you. You're safe now."

"T-t-talking Gorilla?!" in her shock, Leia forgot to articulate her words, which came off as hurtful to Jasper.

"Hey, don't be rude!" he protested. "Never seen a Mink before?"

"A what…?" Leia gaped, and this time it was Mabel who answered her.

"A mink! What kind of backwater island did you come from? Surely you know about them? They are a special race of beings with both human and animal characteristics," Mabel tried to explain it to Leia in an easy-to-understand way, thinking that the girl might be too much in shock that she was temporarily mixing things. But when Leia's confused look did not subside, Mabel started to notice that something might be wrong.

"What kind of island did you come from?" she asked to Leia, and the girl blinked, looking sideways at her. She found it weird that Mabel had asked for 'island' instead of city – perhaps they were in some kind of archipelago? Regardless, she decided to tell the truth.

"San Fransisco, California," she replied, which only caused Mabel and Jasper to exchange perplexed glances, clearly unfamiliar with the name 'San Francisco, California'. Mabel furrowed her brow, trying to piece things together. She gently asked Leia another question, hoping to unravel the mystery.

"Well, which sea did you come from, sweetie? Perhaps… somewhere in the South Blue or the East Blue?" Mabel suggested, hoping to find a familiar point of reference.

"Or Calm Belt, maybe? A lot of islands in that area is unexplored," Jasper tried to help.

However, Leia's confusion only deepened at those unfamiliar names, and she shook her head in response. "I don't know any of those places," Leia admitted, her voice tinged with frustration. "I… really don't know where I am or how I got here. All I remember is running from those men and then waking up here."

Mabel's concern grew as she realized that Leia's situation might be more complex than they initially thought. She exchanged another glance with Jasper, both silently contemplating the significance of Leia's unfamiliarity with their world.

"Well, do you remember your name, at least?" Mabel asked, and Leia answered, "Yeah, I'm Leia."

"Great!" said Mabel, sighing in relief. "Well, at least you remember something now – that's a start! I'm Mabel, and that one over there -," she motioned to Jasper, who still had his arms on Leia's shoulders, "Is Jasper. And like I said before, he is a Mink. And if it will help you… you are currently in Tottoland, Big Mom's territory now."

"Tottola -?" Leia's voice died out. Those names sure didn't ring any bells for her. And what do they mean 'territory'? She wasn't sure if she was the one being disconnected with reality, or if the reality was getting more and more divergent from what she used to know. First, it was a talking Gorilla which they dubbed a 'Mink' – then they claimed she was now in 'Tottoland' in 'Big Mom's Territory'… she didn't even know what that meant.

Leia's mind raced with a mix of confusion and a sinking feeling. The realization started to dawn on her that she might not be in her own familiar world anymore. The names, the terms, the talking gorilla—everything pointed to a reality that seemed to exist outside the boundaries of her previous understanding.

As she grappled with this unsettling revelation, Leia noticed that Jasper and Mabel were deep in their own silent conversation. Their concerned expressions mirrored her own internal turmoil. They contemplated the various scenarios that could explain Leia's situation. Had her hometown ceased to exist? Or perhaps… she had suffered some traumatic events that resulted in amnesia?

Whispers filled the air as Jasper leaned closer to Mabel, his voice barely audible. "Mabel, it's as if Leia is from another world altogether. The way she talks, her confusion... it's unlike anything we've encountered."

Mabel nodded, her eyes fixed on Leia. "I agree, Jasper. We need to be cautious and support her through this. Whatever she's been through, it's clear she needs our help."

"Totally," Jasper murmured.

"I'm going to go talk to the doctor," said Mabel, to which Jasper replied, "I'm going with you."

"Listen – Leia," said Mabel to the girl, who seemed like she was only half-listening. "We'll go out and talk to the doctor, can you wait for us here?"

"Sure," Leia answered absent-mindedly. She had just noticed the bizarre scene outside of her hospital confines. Leia's eyes widened in disbelief as she peered from her hospital window and beheld a scene that seemed as though it had come straight out of a children's book she had read when she was little. Mouth slowly gaping, Leia tried to suppress her astonishment as she witnessed rows upon rows of houses, their structures constructed entirely of confectionery delights, stretching out before her.

The houses were a symphony of colors, as if plucked from the brightest palette an artist could conceive. Strawberry-flavored rooftops adorned with swirling cream, chocolate wafer walls that exuded a rich aroma, and windows meticulously crafted from glistening sugar glass. Licorice chimneys reached skyward, releasing trails of sweet-scented smoke into the air, while lollipop lampposts illuminated the enchanting streets with their radiant glow.

Each house was a unique creation, showcasing the imaginative possibilities that could arise when the boundaries between reality and fantasy blurred. Some resembled towering layer cakes, complete with fondant decorations and cascades of rainbow-colored sprinkles. Others took the form of gingerbread cottages, their facades intricately decorated with piped icing and crystallized sugar. The air was infused with the delectable scent of freshly baked pastries, wafting through the vibrant neighborhood.

Leia's mind whirled with bewilderment, questioning the very fabric of her reality. Could this truly be her Earth, or had she unwittingly stumbled into an alternate dimension where imagination held sway? The meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail displayed in every sweet structure made it difficult to dismiss this extraordinary scene as mere illusion.

As she absorbed the surreal surroundings, Leia noticed residents of Tottoland going about their daily lives, their appearances as unique as the confectionary homes they inhabited. Minks with animalistic features roamed the streets, their tails swaying and ears twitching with an air of whimsy. Children clad in candy-colored attire skipped joyfully along the candy-striped pathways, laughter ringing through the air.

Leia's heart oscillated between awe and trepidation. The sight before her awakened a childlike wonder, but it also served as a stark reminder that the world she was now definitely not at the place she once knew. Wherever this is – this couldn't be her earth. This world seemed like a place where fantastical realms and fairy tales coexisted with modern-day reality. And most importantly, she had no idea how she got here.

Leia stood in place, contemplating for a few moments, and felt her heart slowly sinking as she realized how far she must be from home at the moment – and how her adoptive family must have been really worried about her. She wanted to go home to them, but she didn't even know where she was. Plus, she was weak and will likely pass out again if she tried to escape. Her best option seemed to stay here for the time being. The talking gorilla – Jasper, did he say? And the woman with the auburn hair didn't seem like bad people. Leia sighed. At least – she should stick with them until she could find the way home.

Soon, one month had passed from when Leia first arrived in this world. One month seemed like a long time, but also an incredibly short time, considering everything that's happening. The month had allowed her a chance to recover and heal from her wounds, though the bullet wound on her shoulder had left a permanent scar. She had felt much better within a week of being hospitalized, and within two weeks she was back to her feet. Not having anyone she knew in town, and short of any other options, Leia for a moment had worried what would happen to her once she was out of the hospital. Luckily, Mabel and Jasper had so kindly let her rent a room in their place, and even helped her to find a job.

Leia's life had taken an unexpected turn since arriving in this unfamiliar world. Now working as a delivery woman, she found herself navigating the winding streets of Tottoland, delivering packages and running errands for the locals as a side hustle. The concept of payment, referred to as "berries," still struck her as peculiar, but she had adapted to the customs of this world, embracing the opportunity to earn a living and sustain herself.

Jasper and Mabel had become her guides, sharing their knowledge of this extraordinary realm. They revealed the intricate web of power and control that governed the world, led by an entity known as the World Government. It was a revelation that left Leia in awe, realizing that her new reality was far more complex than she could have imagined.

Tottoland, with its whimsical houses made of candies and sweets, seemed like something out of a dream. Leia couldn't help but marvel at the sheer creativity and wonder that surrounded her. It was a stark contrast to her previous life in San Francisco, where concrete buildings and busy streets had defined her everyday existence. Now, she found herself living in the territory of one of the three emperors, Big Mom, a name synonymous with power and ruthlessness.

The existence of these three emperors, renowned for their strength and invincibility, signaled a return to an era of piracy and adventure. The world seemed to have regressed, resembling the medieval ages, where pirates roamed freely and sought their own dominion. Leia silently hoped that her path would never cross with Big Mom, her children, or her formidable crew. While she acknowledged the protection afforded by their rule, their reputation for ruthlessness and fear left her wanting to steer clear of any trouble.

Grateful for the safety and guidance provided by Mabel and Jasper, Leia embraced her new life with a mix of trepidation and curiosity. Every day brought fresh experiences, new faces, and a world that constantly challenged her perception of reality. Though she was busy adapting to her new life, nights passed silently in solitary inside her room were often lonely, as she remembered her adoptive family way back home and how worried they must be. It was even more frustrating because she had now way to contact them, and she often fell asleep after letting her fatigue and loneliness consume her.

Today marked exactly one month after she arrived in this world, and Mabel had suggested that she come to the get-together party. She insisted that having more friends here would make everything more bearable for her, and Leia had to agree. As she prepared for Mabel's party, Leia's enthusiasm bubbled over, invigorating every step she took. She stood before the mirror, her eyes sparkling with anticipation, as she slipped into a yellow V-neck cotton shirt that hugged her frame with a casual yet flattering fit. The cheerful color seemed to radiate a newfound zest for life, mirroring the inner joy that had bloomed within her.

Then, Leia slid into a pair of well-worn skinny jeans, their indigo hue complementing her vibrant energy. The denim clung to her curves, accentuating her youthful spirit and reminding her of the strength she had discovered within herself during her journey.

But it was the oversized denim jacket, her trusted companion, that held a special place in her heart. Adorned with an intricate Bluebird design on the back, it symbolized her wanderlust and free-spirited nature. She was lucky they didn't burn or throw away this jacket when they found her – a fate that was sadly not shared by her 'The Smiths' shirt and ripped jeans. She was so glad she could still recover this item of clothing, for this jacket had become a canvas of memories, carefully embroidered with iron patches that reflected her eclectic interests and cherished experiences.

As Leia slipped her arms through the jacket's sleeves, she admired the colorful patches adorning its surface. A pink jelly donut with a generous sprinkle of rainbow-colored confections, a playful nod to her sweet tooth, and her love for donuts. The iconic Scoops Ahoy logo, an emblem of shared adventures and friendship. The vibrant peace and love hand sign, a symbol of harmony and acceptance that resonated deeply with her compassionate nature. The planetary logo, representing the vast universe of possibilities that awaited her. A bolt of yellow lightning, a reminder of the electrifying excitement she felt in embracing life's unexpected twists. The wanderlust logo with a compass, a testament to her insatiable thirst for exploration and discovery. And lastly, a mini-map of California, a homage to her roots and a constant reminder of her journey from the familiar to the extraordinary. The last patch was that of a golden eye with a wave and a sun setting, this one she really liked and decided to add it on her jacket.

With each patch, Leia had stitched a piece of herself into the fabric, creating a wearable tapestry that told her story. As she fastened the buttons of her jacket, a sense of empowerment enveloped her. She had overcome adversity, healed from her wounds, and embraced the vibrant tapestry of life that awaited her.

A radiant smile graced Leia's lips as she surveyed her reflection in the mirror. Her eyes sparkled with determination, and her energetic spirit was palpable. The scars on her shoulder served as a reminder of her resilience, but they no longer defined her. She was ready to immerse herself in the joyous celebration ahead, surrounded by friends who had become her new family in this extraordinary world.

"Hi there," she whispered to her reflection in the mirror. She looked unexpectedly cheerful today, ready for the big party. "Ready to take over the world?"

With one last look in the mirror, Leia adjusted her jacket ever so slightly, and with a skip in her step, she ventured out into the awaiting adventure, her heart brimming with hope and excitement. The party was not too far from her home, and she found Jasper and Mabel waiting for her near the door, smiling when they spotted her. They had promised to go to the party together.

Leia's vibrant presence did not go unnoticed by Mabel and Jasper as they eagerly awaited her arrival. Their eyes lit up with admiration and joy as they took in her ensemble, the colorful patches on her denim jacket catching their attention.

"Mabel, look at Leia! She looks absolutely amazing," Jasper exclaimed, his voice filled with genuine admiration. Mabel beamed, nodding in agreement. "You've truly outdone yourself, Leia. That jacket is a work of art, and those patches... they tell a story."

Leia blushed, touched by their compliments. "Thanks! It's been quite a journey, and these patches represent different parts of my life, my memories, and the adventures I've had along the way."

With a shared sense of excitement, the trio set off toward the party, their steps in sync, and their laughter carrying through the air. Leia felt a sense of belonging, knowing that she had found true friends in this unfamiliar world.

As they walked, Mabel couldn't help but continue her praises. "Look at you now, Leia! All back and bouncing on your feet, even working hard on your jobs to pay the bills! I've never seen someone embody resilience and strength quite like you. I've got to admit, when I first found you washed up on our shore one month back, I never would have imagined you'll be able to recover this quick."

Jasper chimed in, his voice warm with sincerity. "And your spirit, Leia, it's infectious. You bring joy and positivity wherever you go. We're lucky to have you as a friend."

Leia's heart swelled with gratitude, her smile widening. "Thank you both. I mean… I could never have done this without you. You've been my guiding lights in this new world, and I couldn't have asked for better companions."

"Don't sweat it," said Mabel. "The pleasure is ours. It's nice having you with us, Leia. I'm not lying!"

They finally reached the venue for the party and headed in, their footsteps blending with the lively rhythm that filled the air. As they stepped through the entrance, Leia's senses were instantly greeted by a kaleidoscope of colors, tantalizing aromas, and the energetic beats of the music.

The room buzzed with laughter and conversation as people mingled, their smiles contagious and their spirits high. The air was filled with a delightful medley of mouthwatering scents, a testament to the array of delicious treats that were spread across tables, waiting to be savored.

Leia's eyes widened with delight as she took in the sight before her. Plates stacked high with delectable pastries, cupcakes adorned with intricate designs, towers of candies, and bowls overflowing with fruits of every hue adorned the tables. The sweet aroma of freshly baked goods filled her nostrils, igniting a hunger within her. Mabel giggled when she looked at her.

"I know," she said. "Appetizing, aren't they?"

"Highly," Leia agreed, trying to suppress her sense of hunger. Mabel had said that she wanted to introduce Leia to some of her friends first, and she thought these culinary delights would have to wait until after that.

The music pulsed through the venue, its infectious rhythm inspiring even the most reserved guests to tap their feet and sway to the beat. A live band played on a stage, their melodies creating a joyful backdrop for the festivities. People danced and twirled, their laughter and applause blending harmoniously with the music. Walking behind Mabel and Jasper, Leia found her way amidst the crowd who were cheerily dancing to the sound of music, until she finally saw Mabel stopping.

"Ah, here they are!" she exclaimed with a sense of satisfaction. "Leia, over here!"

Leia followed Mabel's excited wave and eagerly made her way toward the group of Mabel's friends. As she approached, her eyes fell upon the diverse and intriguing characters Mabel had been so eager to introduce her to.

Mabel beamed with pride as she introduced the first of her friends, Mizu, who seemed to be… a talking goldfish. One month ago this would have scared her, but Leia was much more informed about this now. It seemed that Mizu was what they would call a fishman, a race of merpeople that dwell under the water. He seemed to have a laid-back demeanor, which Leia immediately liked. He was looking at Leia while leaning against a nearby table, his cigarette dangling from his lips, though it was clear he never actually lit it. His cool and confident aura radiated as he greeted Leia with a nod.

"Hey there, newbie," Mizu said, his voice carrying a smooth and nonchalant tone. "Welcome to the party. Ready to have some fun?"

"Mizu works in Whole Cake Island, as an apprentice of Big Mom's crew member," Mabel explained. "Out of all of us – he lives the closest to Big Mom – he has even seen her several times."

"It's not that a big of a deal, Mabel," Mizu laughed. "I just caught glimpses of her from the distance."

Leia nodded, a hint of excitement in her eyes. She was intrigued by Mizu's presence and couldn't help but admire his effortlessly cool demeanor. Mabel then turned to the next friend, Jo-Jo, a white mink mouse with a kind-hearted disposition. Jo-Jo's ears twitched with nervous anticipation as she stammered out her greeting. "This is Jo-Jo," she announced as Leia approached to offer Jo-jo a friendly handshake. "She works as a seamstress on Cacao Island."

"H-h-hello," Jo-Jo stuttered, her voice filled with genuine warmth as she shook Leia's hand. "It's n-n-nice to m-m-meet you, Leia. I hope you're h-h-having a g-g-great time." Leia smiled warmly at Jo-Jo, instantly drawn to her gentle nature. She could sense Jo-Jo's sensitivity and felt an immediate connection. As Leia exchanged smiles with Jo-Jo though, she couldn't help but notice a flicker of sadness in the white mink mouse's eyes. Jo-Jo's ears twitched, and she mustered the courage to ask Mabel and Jasper a question that had been weighing on her mind.

"Um, h-have you heard anything about L-Lola?" Jo-Jo inquired, her voice tinged with a mix of hope and sadness. "I-I miss her so much. I w-w-wish she never left T-T-Tottoland."

Mabel and Jasper shared a sympathetic glance before responding with regretful shakes of their heads. "No, Jo-Jo," Mabel said softly. "We haven't heard anything about Lola. I miss her dearly too, but I know she's having fun out there somewhere, discovering the world beyond Tottoland."

"I-I k-know," Jo-jo said, sniffing. "I-I j-just wish s-she never l-l-left."

"Us too, Jojo," replied Jasper solemnly.

Leia listened intently, curiosity piqued by the mention of Lola. She wanted to ask who Lola was and why her absence seemed to weigh heavily on Jo-Jo's heart. However, before she could voice her question, Mabel had smoothly transitioned to introducing the next person in their circle of friends.

"This is Mary!" Mabel exclaimed, directing Leia to a young teen girl who was standing beside Jo-Jo. She had vibrant green hair and an air of intellect. She stood tall and confident, her triangle glasses adding a touch of academic charm to her appearance. Leia couldn't help but be captivated by her presence. "She's our aspiring scientist," Mabel smiled as she introduced Mary. "Always tinkering and exploring. She lives in Cheese Island, by the way!"

Mary's eyes lit up with excitement as she extended a hand towards Leia. "Greetings! I'm Mary," she exclaimed, her voice brimming with enthusiasm. "It's wonderful to meet you, Leia!"

"Likewise!" Leia smiled. She loved Mary's aura of confidence already. Then, they came around to the last person of the group, whom Mabel introduced as Mrs. Guava, an elderly widow who lived in Candy Island and made her living as a maid in a hotel. She had a warm and maternal aura. Leia was immediately drawn to her comforting presence, like a grandmother figure.

"Ah, my dear Leia," Mrs. Guava said with a gentle smile, her voice filled with warmth. "I've heard so much about you. Welcome to our little gathering. If you ever need a listening ear or a comforting hug, know that I'm here for you." Leia's heart swelled with gratitude as she embraced Mrs. Guava in a heartfelt hug. The wisdom and kindness exuded by the elderly woman made her feel instantly at ease.

"And… that's everyone!" Mabel announced. "Now that everyone is gathered, how about we celebrate with a toast?"

"Yes yes!"

"Let's do it!"

Leia joined the chorus of agreement, her eyes shining with anticipation. The group gathered in a circle, each holding their glasses high. A hush fell over the room as Mabel raised her glass, a twinkle in her eye. She cleared her throat.

"To Leia," Mabel began, her voice filled with warmth and genuine affection. "To new beginnings, and the adventures that await!" her words were met with loud cheers as the glasses clinked together and the sound reverberated through the room – a tangible expression of solidarity and celebration. Leia joined in the cheer, her voice blending with the chorus of laughter and well wishes, however, inside, she didn't feel quite complete.

As the lively music continued to fill the air and the laughter of her friends echoed around her, Leia's heart swelled with a bittersweet mix of emotions. In the midst of the joyous celebration, a trace of homesickness tugged at her soul, reminding her of the loved ones she had left behind in California. Their absence was keenly felt, and she yearned for their presence in this vibrant world of Tottoland. The warmth and acceptance of her new friends provided solace, but her thoughts often wandered back to her adoptive family, their faces etched in her memories. With a lingering sense of longing, Leia proceeded into the party, knowing that her journey was just beginning and that her heart would forever carry the love of her past as she ventured into the unknown.
