Halloween Special Part 2
Ben, Kaine, and Peter's friends walked through the doors that had opened for them. Kaine brought up the rear right behind Weiss, it was mostly because he was trying to be considerate and not blow smoke in the others' faces. As the group walked through the doors, they entered into what looked like a large dining area. "Hey uh...Neo, was it?" Ben started. The shortstack looked to him and nodded with a smug smile, "You're not a kid, right? Like, you're twenty-five or something and just short?" She nodded. Ben clapped in joy as his mask retracted to show his smiling face, "Great, so I had this commission request that I've been holding off on because I don't draw a lot of short girls, and I was wondering if I could use you as a reference?"
"Hey, keep your dick out of your hands. We have a job to do. Or did you forget?" Kaine scolded as he flicked his cigarette butt at Ben, it bouncing off his chest and onto the table.
"Please," Ben laughed, "My dick is never in my hands when I draw. If it was I'd never get anything done." Ben grabbed one of the apples that was on the table and held it to his mouth and waited to see if he Spider Sense would go off, when it didn't he took a bite.
The Remnantites looked between the two clones with questioning expressions, "I...Is this normal for you two?" Blake asked with a confused expression.
"Of course." the two clones said in unison, "Do you not have siblings? We're always at each other's throats. Even when we are on good terms, you never know when either of us will try and kill each other." Ben chuckled. "Though, if we're being honest, Kaine's the only one who actively tries to kill the other."
"Tried*" Kaine corrected as he crossed his arms, "I'm over it now. No reason to try and kill you when you are practically doing that for me." Again, the Remnantites looked back and forth between the two. Despite looking like Peter and sounding like Peter...assuming he made more inappropriate jokes in the case of Ben, and assuming he had a spore throat in the case of Kaine...the two were really different from their template. Ben slammed the table and made the teens nearly jump out of their skin.
"You didn't put your butt out." Ben chuckled as he crushed the butt of Kaine's cigarette between his fingers. "C'mon man, you're gonna start a house fire. And then what? I don't like fighting in blazing infernoes."
"Can we focus, here!?" Weiss shouted with a frustrated expression, "In case the two of you have forgotten, we were separated from your friends and Peter. On top of that we have a maniacal weirdo somewhere running around this mansion!" she yelled with her hands thrown in the air.
"Deadpool isn't such a bad guy." Jaune shrugged.
"Pretty sure she meant Jack." Kaine stated. He rubbed his chin a little before nodding, "Yeah, the Ice Queen is right. We need to move forward before Jack catches us flat footed. Ben," he yelled out, "Stay to the front, use your Spider Sense to warn us of dangers. John--"
"It's Jaune." the blonde corrected.
"Didn't ask, don't care--You'll be behind Ben with Hammer Girl and Parker's Wife. Ren, Black Ca--I mean...Blake, and I will bring the rear middle. Finally, Ruby and Weiss will bring up the rear." Neo coughed in her hand, causing Kaine to jump a little, "Jesus Christ, I forgot about you. Uh...Neo, right?" she nodded, "Right. You'll take point with Ben too I guess or..." Kaine looked around trying to figure out who best to put her with. Neo tapped gave Kaine a thumbs up before flexing her biceps. "Okay, yeah. Just take the front with Ben."
With the positions settled, Ben and Neo took point and approached a set of double doors that led to the next section of the mansion. "You ready Short-Round?" Ben asked. Neo pulled a sword out from the handle of her parasol, gave a slight smile and nodded. "Okay," Ben said as his mask covered his face once again, the eyes glowing a light blue, "Let's rock, baby." With a mighty kick, Ben knocked the double doors off their hinges and they flew into the wall only a few feet in front of the group in the other room. The room itself was a hallway. The left side led to a room that had a staircase that led to a second level, the right side led to a second hallway.
"Left/Right." Ben and Kaine said at the same time. "I'm not planning on exploring the Wesker Mansion for more than needed." Kaine said with a corse tone, "We go right, no ifs, ands, or buts about it."
"Right side is just a hallway." Ben argued, "We go up it could help us get farther to the back." Ben looked at the other teens, "Well, it's up to you guys. Left or right? Just know that whatever side you choose is fine...but if it's the wrong side and it's a waste of time, Kaine will likely skin you alive." The teens all looked at each other before pointing to the right, "Okay, right it is."
The group went right, making sure they were ready for anything that may come at them. As Ben and Neo lead the way, a door appeared on the left hand side of the hallway. Ben, wanting to be careful, stopped quickly and waited for his Spider Sense. When nothing happened he made finger guns with his right hand, faking a cocking sound, he slowly opened the door, and saw that nothing was there. Just a couple of crates and a few houseplants. "Get startled by a couple Marijuana plants, Ben?" Kaine chuckled, "Relax the plant won't eat you like it's 'Little Gift Shop of Horrors,' if anything maybe it'll make you chill out."
The group continued forward. Taking preemptive measures, Ben and Kaine webbed the windows as they walked past them in the hall. The Remnantites thought they were being strange but didn't question it as the group reached the end of the hallway and heard the glass break, followed by yelping and growling as Grimm got caught in the web barricade. "Wow," Yang whistled, "Do you guys have good enough Spider Sense that you can just see the future or something?"
"Resident Evil." Ben and Kaine said in unison, "Damn dogs always break through the fucking windows." Kaine groaned, he popped his neck and pointed to the door at the end of the hallway, "Ben, breach. Second row, clear."
Ben nodded and rolled his shoulders, "Knock, knock." Ben was about to punch the door open, but his Spider Sense went off signaling danger on the other side. Ben's lenses widened and before he could react, a gigantic tail crashed through the wall and door and gripped Ben around his waist, "O--OOOOOH!!!" he screamed as the tail pulled and slammed him through the rest of the wall. The wall collapsed to reveal a giant King Taijitsu, a serpent-like Grimm, except it seemed to be more heavily armored than a typical mob. "AAAAH! I fucking hate snakes!" Ben yelled out, "They're slimy, and gooey, and they try to molest their students!"
"What?" Weiss questioned.
Kaine shrugged, "Don't look at me, I'm as lost as all of you are." The creature screeched causing the group of heroes to clutch their ears in pain, even Ben's lenses began to freak out from the high frequency of the battle cry. "Yeah, I'm not willing to deal with that for much longer, let's hurry up and finish this thing." Kaine ordered. "Ruby, you and Weiss stay back. Use your rifle and hit the weak points, Weiss use those glyphs. I won't be here to watch your back so...Jaune!" Jaune turned his head with an almost frightened expression, "Protect Weiss, you've got a shield."
"Right." Jaune nodded.
"Nora, Ren, Neo, Blake and Yang, start trying to break that armor." the teens, and Neo, nodded as they got their weapons ready and dashed towards the creature, "And Ben!" Kaine shouted, "Will you quit dicking around and do something already!?"
Ben squinted his lenses as he struggled to break free of the monster's grasp, "WhatthefuckdoyouthinkI'mtryingtodo!?!" he snapped back. He growled in annoyance as dozens of messages began popping up on his overhead display, "Yes, yes, I KNOW! Intense pressure, I can feel it!" Ben began to strain his muscles and little by little he loosened the monster's grip around him, until finally he had the grip loosened enough that he could slip out of its grasp. Ben backflipped down to the ground, shooting a webline to the ceiling to slow his descent, he landed into a crouch next to Yang.
"Hey Pe--Ben--AGH! Spider-Man! (God dammit)" Yang groaned, "Glad to see that your head didn't pop out your suit."
Ben chuckled as he tried to catch his breath, "Yeah...well, if it stopped the blood flow any more a head may have popped out of my suit. But not the one you're thinking." Ben's Spider Sense went off and he released the metal legs from his suit, using the added strength he was able to stand his ground and grab the Grimm by its teeth as it tried to chomp down on him. Almost instinctively, Yang ran up and used Ben's shoulder as leverage to jump up and get just above the serpent. Blake saw this and tossed her ribbon for Yang to grab. The blonde smirked as she already knew the plan. Once the ribbon was grabbed, Blake used all her strength to spin her teammate around before slamming her into the head of the Grimm.
With a battlecry, Yang let out a ferocious punch with her right hand and slammed down on the head of King Taijitsu...to no effect. "Oh crap." The Grimm broke free of Ben's grasp and tried to thrash its head upwards to hit Yang, but it was jerked down by the combined force of Kaine and Ben who both shot webs onto the creature.
"Better hurry and move, blondie." Kaine grunted as he strained his muscles more and yanked down the monster, showing strength even Ben didn't think he had. Damn, okay. Ben thought with a surprised expression. Yang used her gauntlets to fire in the air and give her momentum to escape the creature. "Alright you sunova bitch." Kaine groaned as he unsheathed his sword and dashed towards the Grimm. "Die!" he shouted as he jumped to cut the serpent at its belly. Suddenly, Kaine felt a sharp pain in his gut as he was literally shot out of the air. "Ugh, what the hell?" he groaned, holding his side to see several small pellet sized holes in his left side, just above his hip.
"So...it seems you have procured yourself a new suit." a male voice declared as the menacing figure began walking towards Kaine. The man was about six feet tall and had fairly pale skin, he had slicked back fire-red hair and wore a black jacket as well as black jeans, gloves and boots. His most notable accessory was a mask he wore over his eyes that had two slits made where his eyes would be, as well as having some sort of red design. Kaine made the connection that it looks similar to the armor on the Grimm. Finally, Kaine saw the man had a red sword, to Kaine it looked like a ChokutÅ. But where is the gun? I know I got shot. "Doesn't really matter," the man said as he pointed the scabbard at Kaine's face.
"Oh..." Kaine said with a frown, "So it's the scabbard. It's a gun."
"Adam!?" Blake yelled out with a fearful face.
The man, Adam, smirked as he looked up to the cat teen, "Oh, Blake. Don't worry. When I'm done with your human boyfriend, I'll be sure to deal with you."
"Um..." Ben started, gaining Adam's attention. Adam looked to Ben and his mouth opened slightly as he saw not one, but TWO Spider-Men. "Yeah, that's not who you think it is. Like...we're his brothers."
Adam looked back and forth between Ben and Kaine, "There's...three of you?"
Taking the opportunity, Kaine smacked the gun from his face and got up quickly to attack Adam while he was off guard. Kaine began to swing his own sword with his right hand with full intent to cleave Adam in half, but the Faunus was quick to put up his own defense and force the two into a sword clash. "You shot me, I'm pretty pissed off." Kaine growled.
"No matter." Adam replied, "I've defeated Spider-Man before, and I can beat you." he growled while clenching his teeth.
"Buddy, I'm a HELL of a lot different than Spider-Man." Kaine replied. He pointed his left hand up and fired a web ball to clog up Adam's gun right as he was about to pull the trigger. Then, using his superior strength, Kaine was able to break the clash and quickly follow up with a stab st Adam. The attack landed and Kaine laughed as he jabbed his sword through Adam's stomach, "An eye for an eye. Or rather, a gut. For. A. Gut!" Twisting his blade, Kaine used his strength to lift Adam off the ground as he was still stabbed and threw him across the ground. "Unlike Spider-Man...I'm not scared of getting my hands dirty."
Adam got his knee quickly and frowned. His aura slowly trying to heal his wound. "Fine, then I'll make you live up to your promise. By having you hold your head in your hands."
Kaine gripped his katana before getting into a fighting stance. Adam got up slowly, removed the webbing from his scabbard and sheathed his sword, before doing the same. "Change of plans. Spidey, you and the others deal with that thing. This bitch made it personal."
Ben nodded before clapping his hands, "Alright ladies and gents, I hope you're ready because you've got the..." Ben turned around to see the Remnantites fairing rather well against the Grimm even without his help, "calvary." he sighed, "How does Peter help them out, they are more than capable of taking care of themselves." Ben released the legs on his suit and jumped into action. Shooting weblines, he swung to the Grimm which seemed to be taking no damage at all, "Yo, Neo! Need a lift?" Ben shot a webline down and caught Neo before flinging her on top of the serpent.
The creature let out a mighty roar. "We need to break the armor first." Jaune, apparently told to help the others instead of Weiss, shouted out.
"Really? I figured we'd roll it over to its back so we could give it belly pats." Ben replied back sarcastically as he dodged a tail swipe. "No but seriously, my plan was to roll it on the back. Destroying that armor seems kinda time consuming."
"And rolling the whole thing over wouldn't?" Blake asked as she swung past Ben by using her Gambul Shroud as a grappling hook.
"Plan is a work in progress!" Ben shouted. "Okay, we need to break the armor, fine. Nora, get up top start cracking skull. Yang, get to the back and start busting ass. Everyone else keep low and attack when it's exposed. OH and armor piercing rounds only! I swear to god, if your bullets don't pierce armor, then don't fire! I hate getting hit by ricochets!"
The teens began to split up, Nora, Yang and Neo were on the back of the creature, everyone else was low fighting the Grimm and Ruby was still with Weiss. "Ice Flower!" Ruby yelled. Weiss created glyphs in front of Ruby that when she fired through them would both increase the velocity of her round, as well as penetration strength. Ruby fired round after round, doing her best to aim for key points in the creature's armor...however there was a slight problem.
"OW! WHAT THE FUCK!? I SAID DON'T FUCKING SHOOT!!" Ben yelled. It seems this King Taijitsu was much stronger than any other the teens had fought before. "RUBY!"
"AGH!" Ruby hid her face with her hand and grimaced at Weiss, "He's so much scarier than Peter."
"Yeah, and Kaine's supposed to be the bad one." Weiss replied.
"RUBY!" Ben yelled again.
"Agh! Yes! What is it?"
"You're a speedster right?" Ben asked as he avoided the Grimm's mouth.
"Y-Yes? Why?"
"Fuck the guns, switch to melee." Ben turned on his heels and used the metal legs to give him a boost as he sent a massive uppercut to the serpent Grimm. "This is God of War, not Sniper Elite 4! Use your speed, use your scythe--WOAH!" listening to his Spider Sense, Ben was once again able to stop the Grimm, "So. Get. To. Slicing!"
Ruby looked to Weiss and the two nodded to each other. "Right. Same as always. Peter would want me to do everything I can, why wouldn't Ben." Ruby turned her weapon, Crescent Rose, into its scythe form. Ruby spun her scythe a few times before resting it behind her back. "Hey, wanna give me a boost?" she asked Weiss with a smile.
Weiss smirked and shook her head slightly, "You know, we never tested how time dilation would work on you." she sighed, "You could end up in the next room. Or the next town." Weiss chuckled before holding out two fingers on her right hand and flicking her wrist in a circular motion having a black glyph appear under Ruby. Ruby got into a ready stance before making a dash forward towards the Grimm.
As Ruby ran, time seemed to almost slow down...No time really slowed down. Time just outright stopped! "Woah, this is really cool." Ruby said with a smile. Continuing forward she twirled her sycthe a few times before jumping up and swinging her weapon at the Grimm, leaving a massive cut on the underside of its belly. Time came back to normal and the creature cried out in pain. "Don't worry, calvary has arrived." Ruby gave sweet smile with a chuckle before feeling something tugging at her chest and finally pulling her away from where she stood to save her from getting crushed.
"You know, the calvary is usually doing the saving not getting saved." Ben joked as he patted Ruby on the head.
Weiss smiled knowing that the plan worked. However, her smile quickly faded when she looked to her left to see Kaine facing off against Adam. She didn't know much about the Faunus, but she knew that he was a terrorist and, if what Blake said was true, he is a dangerous opponent. Being able to defeat even Peter was no easy feat. Weiss was already getting worried as Kaine was fighting Adam while injured, but also even Weiss could see that Kaine's sword skills were...less than desirable. "Right. He may not like it, but he's gonna need help."
"Agh!" Kaine shouted out in pain as his left arm got a deep cut on it. Kaine took a few steps back and applied a heavy coating of webbing to his arm to stop the bleeding. Adam chuckled as he flicked his blade to get the blood off. "What are you laughing at? You trying to make your ass kicking hurt less?"
Adam stopped chuckling, but he still retained a smirk, "My ass kicking?" he snickered, "Now that's funny. Because from where I'm standing I'm the one who's untouched, and you are the one who's bleeding. To answer your question though, I find you humorous. You are cut from the same cloth, yet you aren't nearly as agile as the other. Even he could dodge gunfire without looking. You, however, you can barely swing with a sword."
"So I'm self taught, sue me." Kaine squinted and saw that Adam was gripping his scabbard tighter than before. That's his gun right? "So you say I can't dodge bullets? Let's test your theory." Adam began to lift up his arm to fire his gun, but Kaine noticed he was moving like he was in slow motion. Looking to the ground, Kaine saw that there was a black glyph underneath Adam's feet. Turning around he saw Weiss with her hand up and focusing, a smirk on her face.
"Mind your surroundings." Weiss smirked.
"Wise ass. Or rather, WEISS ass. Hehehe NO stop that." Kaine saw Adam about to pull the trigger and he quickly webbed his scabbard. Adam began to move at regular speed again and found his gun jammed as he tried to fire. Adam grimaced but couldn't lament on it for too long as he had to quickly get his guard up to block a slice from Kaine. "It IS your ass kicking. You're right, I may not be like Spider-Man, but guess what? That's made me a better fighter." the two broke their clash and then clashed again, but Kaine used his strength to push Adam back and get him off balance, this allowed Kaine to return the favor and cut Adam's arm as well. "Also, I have been learning. I've just been analyzing your moves so I know what to anticipate." Adam gritted his teeth in frustration. "But you are right, I'm nothing like Spider-Man." Kaine laughed, "Because I will kill you."
"Then I suppose we'll see about that." Adam grunted before going in for the attack. The two swordsman traded blow for blow, each parrying each others' attacks. "Regardless of how much skill you claim to have. You are still at a disadvantage." Adam fired his gun again and this time the webbing broke off, however it practically blew up in both their faces. Adam was blinded slightly by the explosion while Kaine felt some pellets hit his arm.
Kaine gritted his teeth and got low and slid between Adam's legs, he then quickly popped up and kicked him in the back of the head before shooting a webline at Adam and pulled him back. Kaine used Adam's momentum to move forward and slice his back, however, he was shocked to see that his blade glided across a red force field that encompassed his body. "Well that's strange."
"It seems...you still have much to learn." Adam smirked as he tried to pull up his gun but found that it wasn't around his belt. "What?" looking up he saw that Kaine had snatched it from him, the cut was only a distraction.
"I gotta say, I kinda dig the design. A scabbard, but also a gun? Now that's groovy." Kaine said as he admired the weapon in his hands. "Now...I can dodge bullets. But the real question is: can you?" Kaine held his arm out with gun in hand and began to fire. With each round fired Kaine was surprised that Adam indeed wasn't dodging the bullets, but he was blocking them. Shot after shot, Adam blocked everything. When Kaine ran out of ammo he moved forward and began to swing his sword again. Unfortunately, Adam was able to get an upper hand on Kaine with his superior swordsmanship, and in return, stole his gun back.
"You seem to think you're superior to your brother." Adam stated as he placed his scabbard back around his belt, he then began to slowly sheath his sword. "I don't see it. From what I've see from you, I'm not impressed. Though I must commend you for something. You are a large enough pest that I must resort to a different technique to beat you." Adam got in a lowered stance and placed his hand on the hilt of his blade, but strangely he stopped.
Kaine squinted his eyes in confusion. What the hell is he-- "MOVE KAINE!" Weiss shouted out. Kaine turned his head and nearly had his eyes pop out of their sockets as he had to quickly move out of the way of the mouth from the King Taijitsu.
"What the fuck? Are you still not done with that!?" Kaine complained.
"It's a little tougher than it looks!" Ben shouted as he swung past Kaine and kicked the serpent in the mouth.
Weiss let out a breath of relief that Kaine had managed to avoid getting eaten. However, her worries were not over as she saw Adam preparing an attack of some kind. His hand was on his weapon and it was almost as if he was charging it. With no time to warn Kaine this time, Weiss quickly created a summoning glyph that formed the arm of the Knight she had defeated before she had joined Beacon. She then had the arm slap Kaine out of the way. And just in time, because when Adam released his blade with a slice there was a massive wave of energy that came from the sword, strong enough to cut through the creature completely and even destroy some of the walls and ceiling.
"HOLY SHIT!" Ben shouted as he saw the force of the destruction. "Hey, thanks Vergil, you saved our asses." Adam growled in frustration at the Spiders.
"Well, now we can have no distractions." Kaine chuckled, "Just you, and me. Nothing, and nobody else." Kaine got to his feet and began to twirl his sword around before attaching a webline to its hilt and began swinging it around. Kaine then launched his sword forward, which was blocked easily by Adam. However, Adam was distracted as Kaine sent a barrage of web balls his way. Adam blocked a few of the web balls, avoided others, but one clogged his gun as well as sticking it to his belt. Another web ball stuck Adam's other hand to his sword.
"What?" Before Adam could figure out what was going on, Kaine had already launched himself forward and let out his stingers. With one hand he used full force and cut through Adam's sword. With his other hand he stabbed through Adam's free hand, causing the Faunus to yell in pain, and then shattered his wrist. Finally, Kaine kicked Adam's leg out from underneath him, forcing him to a knee.
"I told you, "I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty." Kaine held his left hand up, ready to drive his stinger through Adam's face.
"STOP!" Weiss yelled out, causing Kaine to stop mere centimeters from Adam's forehead. "I know he's some sort of terrorist or something, but you can't just kill him!" Kaine frowned and Weiss could tell, even if his face was covered by a mask. "I know you aren't Spider-Man, but you're still his clone! You have to have SOME of his morality!" Kaine sighed and clicked his tongue a few times before putting his stingers away. "Thank you."
Kaine then knocked Adam's mask off his face to see a scar on his left side that said 'SDC'. "Hm. Shame. How about I give you a different mark, huh?" with that Kaine grabbed the back of Adam's head with his left hand and then covered his mouth and left eye with his right hand. Adam then began to let out muffle screams of pain as Kaine held him down and used his MoK. Finally, Kaine took his left hand off Adam before slamming his head down onto the ground, knocking him out instantly. When he removed his hand there was a new red scar that covered his mouth and left side of his face. "There, happy? Not dead and the only thing new is his scar." Weiss and the others gave a look like they weren't impressed. "Whatever, I don't have to answer to you. If you keep acting like Goodie-Two-Shoes-Parker and keep letting people go it's gonna come back to bite you in the ass." Kaine grabbed his sword a sheathed it. "Whatever, this clearly wasn't the way to go. Let's head back and take the other option."
"Uh...um..." Jaune began to ask. He swallowed a lump in his throat and took a deep breath, "Shouldn't we take a quick rest?"
"You rest now and you die." Kaine replied.
"What about our wounds?" Blake asked, "Can't we get some time to heal?"
"Not my problem. The world doesn't wait for you to get ready. If you aren't prepared for a fight at all times it's a difference of life and death." Kaine declared, "I figured you being with Parker for this long you would have figured it out already. Or..." he looked at Yang's prosthetic arm, "maybe you already know that?" Kaine turned around and began walking to the exit door, "Thanks for the assist Ice Queen."
"God, your brother's a dick." Yang groaned to Ben.
Ben pat Yang on the shoulder and retracted his mask so she could see his understanding expression, "Don't let it get to you. Kaine means well he's just...a bit of an asshole." Ben looked around at the teens and Neo, "Is anyone hurt, or was it just him?"
"Actually, when I suggested healing our wounds I meant Kaine specifically." Jaune mentioned with a slight chuckle.
"Yeah, he won't listen to reason. That's just who he is." Ben smiled, "C'mon. Let's catch up."
"So like, are you two dating?" Yang asked. She and Ben had been talking as they went to catch up to Kaine. The conversation mostly consisted of Yang asking questions about Moka which she seemed...extremely eager to have answered, despite not really knowing Ben.
"No, we aren't dating. It's..." Ben sighed, "It's complicated."
"How so?"
"Well for one she shares a body with a separate personality, and if I want to get with her I need to get with both of them." Ben explained.
"That's rough, buddy." Ren chimed in.
After a short bit of walking without seeing Kaine, the group finally caught up to him. "Hey Kaine, what are you doing standing here?"
"Waiting for all of you." Kaine grunted, "Plus I want you to take point. You have to armor and are kinda...you know...bulletproof."
"Ah, human shield...got it." Ben sighed. Ben walked up to the door and put his mask back on. "Okay, a one, a two, and..." Ben cocked his fist back and then sent it through the door. He then began to search for the door knob so that he could unlock the door and open it for the group, but no matter where he put his hand it was like he was just out of reach. Suddenly, Ben felt something grab his hand and move it onto the door knob, "Thank you!" he unlocked the door and brought his arm back in. Finally, Ben twisted the door knob and pushed the door open...for it to fall off the hinges and land flat on the ground. Looking up Ben retracted his mask to show his smile to Moka, who was the one on the other side of the door as well as the other monsters, Peter and Deadpool for some reason. "Oh, hey what's up. I was just talking about you. All good things, I promise." Moka blinked a few times before grabbing Ben and embracing him in a hug, much to his surprise. "Woah, that happy to see me? What, did you get zapped with a 'Fun Ray' or something?" he chuckled.
"I've weighed my options, you are...SO much better than these two idiots." Moka said as she squinted her eyes at Peter and Deadpool. "You may be his clone, but you are definitely less of a nuisance."
"Uncalled for." Peter mumbled.
"PETER!" Yang shouted as she dashed past Ben and Moka and tackled Peter...or at least tried to. Yang jumped on Peter and squished her face against his and kissed his face repeatedly. "Peter, I'm so, so, so, so, SO glad you're okay! When I saw I was with your brothers and not you, I think I had a slight aneurysm. I mean, they sound like you and kinda look like you but they aren't you! Like, I had to stop myself from calling your brothers 'Peter' so many times!"
"God, she makes me want to puke." Kaine said has he pointed to where his mouth would be and gagged. Neo was met by Deadpool who lifted her up and gave her a huge hug.
Ben was thankful to be back with his friends too, it was a weird comfort that he didn't realize he needed. Ben walked up to Tsukune and the two gave each other a high five before hugging. "So, you guys miss me?" Ben asked with a smirk.
"Oh, Moka did, believe us." Kurumu smiled as she wiggled her eyebrows, "You should have heard her she was like, 'Oh no, did you hear that explosion? I sure hope Ben is okay. I can't wait till we get back and I can play with his snake--OW!" Kurumu held her head and pouted as she was hit not just by a washtub from Yukari, but also by Kokoa's mace. "That huuuurt."
Ben shuttered slightly, "Please...let's not talk about snakes...for a long while." Ben looked up to Peter and saw him nodding to their group, Ben nodded back. "Hey man, I'm behind you." Ben replied with a flex of his left bicep. Peter lead his group to the door that lead to the next station and stopped before grabbing the doorknob. "You sense it too, right?" Ben asked leading Peter to nod. "Yeah, don't need Spider Sense to know that this is where we find Billy Corgan."
With a nod from Ben, and Peter looking to his friends and getting a nod from them, he opened the door and the group entered into a large open room. At the back of the room sat the pumpkin head himself, Jack O'Lantern, sitting upon a throne with his fists clenched in frustration. "So...this is how things come to be. All of you, versus all of me." Jack slowly rose from his throne and snapped his fingers, bringing in Grimm to surround the group of teens. "Unforntunately for you, this is where your story ends, and my moment of triumph...BEGINS!" he shouted, throwing his arms in the air and having large explosions go off behind him like they were fireworks.
"You're not the first person to tell us this," Ben shouted out, "I mean, you are like, the millionth person to tell us this. Realistically."
"Yeah, this honestly doesn't make you any different than the normal guys we face." Peter added, "You're just a creep in a mask, all the same."
"Yeah, I'll be honest, I've actually seen jack o'lanterns scarier than you." Kaine insulted, "You're nothing more than a pathetic wannabe. You weren't the original Mysterio, and you aren't the original Jack O'Lantern. Face it, the only thing scary about you is the fact you're willing to wear someone else's filthy laundry." Jack grimaced before snapping his fingers, sending the Grimm at the group of heroes. "Right, so you guys deal with those things, and I'll deal with him."
As the Grimm began to attack the group, Kaine swayed side to side, only leaving cuts on the monsters which allowed them to get picked up by the other heroes. Kaine inched closer and closer to Jack and was prepared to go for a killing blow, but the pumpkin man pulled out his flaming sword and the two locked in combat. "Well? Am I the first supernatural you've dealt with?"
"No. I kill vampires all the time. You're more like a Halloween themed Darth Vader." Kaine stated lowly as he broke the sword lock and went for a horizontal slice, but the two instead began to clash.
With Peter, he was currently avoiding becoming the prey of a Death Stalker, "You know, I never was a fan of Scorpions." he called out as he dodged a swipe from the monster's stinger, allowing it to get punched by Yang, followed by getting flipped over by Mizore from the other side of the room.
"I know, right?" Ben laughed as he threw Kokoa at the creature and had her cut the tail off before he jabbed the stinger through its skull. "I mean, they are always so bitchy and they try to throw themselves at you because they're crazy."
Peter blinked a few times in confusion, "Wait...what?"
"OH! You haven't met Scorpia. She took over when Gargan went missing with you." Ben explained, "Real bitch. A yandere if I have ever seen one."
Ruby began running all around the room at rapid speeds, slicing and dicing her way through the hordes of Grimm. Her job was made easier by Mizore freezing the feet of the Grimm in place which allowed for both the Hunters and Monsters to destroy the beasts. Ruby spun in the air and fired Crescent Rose at one of the Creepers, only for the monster to get cut down by Kokoa, "OH NO!" Ruby shouted as she held her breath. Thankfully, Kokoa was fast enough to hold up her sword and deflect the bullet away from her, which ricochet and hit Ben in the butt.
"OW! SONOVA--" Ben yelled out before dodging a swipe from a Beowolf. Ben cocked his fist back and sent a devastating uppercut to the creature which knocked it back to Nora who swung down and crushed the creature with her hammer.
"The Almighty Nora strikes again!!" Nora cheered as she quickly switched her weapon from warhammer to grenade launcher and fired a round toward a large group of Grimm that were surrounding Tsukune and Yukari. Tsukune gritted his teeth and his eyes began to change color as he began to tap into his vampiric powers. With a mighty battle cry, Tsukune shot his fist foreward and took out several Grimm all in one hit, making the job on the rest of the heroes much easier.
Back with Kaine, he was able to keep up with Jack, but it was like the madman had some sort of unmatched power. "Give up, boy. I'm driven by my pure anger and frustration." the two clashed once more and Jack got his face inches away from Kaine's, "And I. Will not. Lose. Again!" Jack's sword began to heat up as the flame grew brighter and he cut threw Kaine's sword. Kaine grunted in frustration before he was kicked back and landed in front of Peter and Deadpool.
"You okay?" Deadpool asked as he and Peter helped Kaine to his feet. "Must be weird that the dude thinks you're Ichabod Crane, huh? Or rather, Ichabod KAINE." Kaine grunted before letting loose one of his stingers and stabbing Deadpool in the jaw.
"This guy is some sort of monster." Kaine groaned, frustrated with himself as he saw his sword broken in two and lying on the ground. "I don't remember Mysterio having any...well...muscle."
"Special thanks to a friend of mine." Jack laughed, "With his help I've gone beyond my human form and my initial Jack O'Lantern form! I have become ULTIMATE! A god amongst men!"
"God? You look more like talking dog food to me!" Yang laughed, "Face it, you're nothing more than a pathetic excuse for a super villain! Hell, Torchwick was more threatening than you! And he had more swagger!"
Peter shrugged his shoulders in confusion, "I don't understand. What's your beef with me? I barely know you. I fought you like once when you were Mysterio, then you tell me I killed you?" Peter shook his head, "Sorry man, I don't think I understand."
"I'VE GOT IT!" Deadpool yelled out.
"You do?" Moka asked.
"You do?" the Spiders all asked in unison.
"Allow me to explain." Deadpool reached up and pulled down what looked to be a projector screen before letting go and having the screen retract. As it did so, a whiteboard was revealed behind the screen with some writing on it. Moka had to rub her eyes to make sure she wasn't seeing things. "Okay, this is our timeline here." Deadpool said as he circled a line that had an 'X' saying 'You Are Here', "He claims he fought us already and lost on Halloween 3 years ago. That would have been over here, in a timeline when Beacon hadn't yet fallen, and we apparently kept a consistent time with time in the fan fic and time in real life." he explained as he drew a new line, "Somehow, after he died, he was resurrected and brought to our time here where we somehow would run into Kaine and Ben from his fic. Makes sense right?" the teens nod, "WRONG!" He shouted as he reached into his back pocket and pulled a script that said 'Fast Times 2' and a manga called 'Rosario Vampire'. "Because according to this fic these guys should be nowhere near October! In fact, they are only a few volumes away from the ending! Do you know what this means?"
The teens stared and looked at each other in silence, "Thaaaat you're...crazy?" Blake asked.
"That what you're saying makes no sense?" Kaine added.
"Is nobody going to question why our life is depicted in a manga?" Mizore asked as she flipped through the book Deadpool had, "Just me? Alright then. It's the sports festival all over again."
"We are in a Halloween Special." Deadpool declared, "Well...not really a 'Halloween Special' more like a 'Halloween' Special. More themed than actual Halloween you know?" It's because the author is a lazy hack who's ability to finish should have been seen, I mean, look at this scene here, it's EXACTLY the same as the other story! What the fuck do you want me to do? Everybody is here, it ends the same way!
"Hey!" Jack shouted, "Are you ignoring me again!? Do you have any idea what this means to my triumph!" he growled, "Three years. THREE. YEARS! And now, just like before, you are ignoring me! I'm a threat you know! So treat me like one! I'm not some clown for you to point and laugh at!"
"You want to be considered a threat?" Jack's eyes widened as he heard Kaine's voice from behind him, "Then suffer your fate." In a quick motion Kaine shoved his stinger through the throat of 'Mad Jack.' After a minute of the pumpkin headed man struggling to break free from the clone's grasp, he finally went limp, and his fire went out. Kaine looked up and nodded towards Weiss, "He was technically dead, so this doesn't count as me killing, okay princess?" Kaine retracted his stinger and began walking towards the former heiress. "I told you didn't I? We don't need Spider-Man, or a merc, or some mystical artifacts. I would be more than enough. This isn't my first rodeo, sweetheart. It's...at least my second." he chuckled, "And because of that," Kaine took off his mask and handed a card to Weiss that said 'Scarlet Spider: Hero for Hire', "If you ever need someone to watch your back, give me a call. I'll gladly watch your ass all day." he finished with a wink before beginning to leave the room.
"D...Did he just hit on me?" Weiss asked with a very visible blush.
"I'm honestly more surprised he could chuckle." Peter laughed.
"That's a good line, I should write that down." Ben muttered.
"No." Moka groaned.
Finally, at the end of the day, the two groups made it back to the front entrance. "Well, I guess this is where we say goodbye." Ben said with a nod, "I uh...don't suppose you'll be coming this way." Yang gripped Peter's arm and gulped. Peter looked back to his friends, smiled and shook his head to Ben. "Yeah, didn't think so. You've got your responsibility here. I just...hope that's all hero related and not relationship related. Remember, rubber prevents lives."
Peter gave a confused expression, "What?"
"Use a condom, lover boy." Moka explained.
Ben retracted his mask so he and Peter could actually look at each other in the eyes. "Good luck out there Pete. Go an uh...save the world. Just be sure to come back and say hi, okay?"
"For sure." Peter nodded as he and Ben shook hands, "And good luck to you too...um...Spider-Man." With that said, Ben, his friends, and Kaine went through the first and thankfully returned to the same set of woods they encountered when they first entered the mansion.
"Thank the fucking lord!" Tsukune shouted out. "We are NEVER doing this shit again."
Mizore nodded, "Yeah, this event has been a hindrance on my fan fiction writing."
"Yeah Ben," Moka groaned, "The next time you think you have a good idea just shut up and draw your porn."
The group continued down the path until, to everyone's surprise, the mansion exploded and the force of the blast knocked the group forward and onto the ground. All the teens looked back to see the fire of the mansion rage on as well as fireworks come off from inside. As the fireworks exploded they said 'Happy New Year', 'Sorry it's late'. The teens, all equally startled and confused, could only say one thing: "Son of a bitch!"
"What was with you hitting on Weiss for?" Ben asked.
"She's got great legs and a nice ass." Kaine replied, "Plus I kinda dig the personality."

A/N: Heeeey. It's uh...it's been awhile. I mentioned this on my other story, but I'll mention it here too: Uh, remember when I said I would finish this and then take a breather? You know, recharge my batteries? Well, obviously that happened a littler earlier than I thought it would. See, after I had made those chapters I was absolutely slammed with essays, a book report (on a book I didn't read), and finals. So my break needed to come a little sooner. I really wanted to write more, but I just could find any motivation.
But now? Well, Seahawks are out of playoffs, so I have nothing to care about on weekends right now. I'm probably gonna hold off on finishing Cyberpunk until I get a hand on a new Xbox (whenever those are available), and I'm just replaying Halo on my PC. Might fuck around and make some game reviews, IDK.
Anyways, I guess my point is, it's time for me to stop fucking around. I've been on break long enough at this point, so it's time to get back to work. That's right lads, I'm starting the next chapter as soon as this chapter is done. Get a couple of Ben's story done before I move on to Peter for a quick bit.
Alright, here's to another productive year. My goal is get my whole narrative done this year so...Get Psyched.
