Apology Update
Hey everybody, it's the Nerd here. I'm making an update that I'll use for both the stories, so if there is some information that doesn't fit just assume it's for the other story.
Now, I should start by updating the people who read my Fast Times fic, since they've had to wait the longest. As you guys know I go back and forth between the two fics. I'll write a couple chapters for Fast Times and then move over to Spidey and Deadpool and do a few chapters for that. That's pretty much how I've always done it. Now, you may have noticed that I've done...a little bit more than just a few chapters lately for Spidey...like, probably triple what I usually do. I have an explanation for that. See, when I started the Ben Reilly fics I had the Rosario Vampire manga that I could look at for reference because as you guys know, I like trying to stay close to canon when I can. However, due to financial issues (mostly because college) I didn't have any RV issues after the first book of Season II. No worries though, right? I mean, there are plenty of online places which hold scanlations of the manga so no biggie. I personally use MangaDex because it's simplistic to move around the site and it doesn't have a bunch of intrusive ads like Mangakalot. This is where the true troubles began.
After I got done with the last chapter of Fast Times 2, I moved on to do some Spidey chapters, thinking I'd just do 3 of them and come back like normal...then after I finished Argus Part 2, I was met with the terrible news that MangaDex had been hacked. The site completely shut itself down so that they could repair the site and make serious overhauls to make sure this didn't happen again. That was back at the end of March/First week of April and there still isn't any sign of when it'll come back. I could easily switch to Mangakalot or something but...man those sites blow. I'll just wait it out and do a bunch of chapters to update when MangaDex is back up...unless it takes too long. Like, if I'm at the end of my other story then we know it's been too long.
Okay, now for my Spidey and Deadpool fans. I know some of you have been awaiting the climatic battle, and I had planned to have had it out like two weeks ago. It's just...I kinda ran into a little problem that made it so I couldn't write literally a damn thing since then. And it's not something silly this time like I was procrastinating because I've been playing the Yakuza games or I was healing from my traumatic brain injury when I shot myself in the head after making that Neo x Peter smut chapter. No it was something serious.
I kinda got COVID and I was on bed rest for like 10 days. Thankfully I didn't lose a bunch of my motor functions like some people experienced. Like, the worst of my experiences was just flu-like symptoms (thank God) but I was still down with a pretty constant fever, drowsiness and congestion. I got scared at one point because I thought I was coughing up blood, but thankfully it was just flem that happened to have blood in it because my nose had been dry lately and I was getting blood in my flem a lot anyways.
Anyways, I'm all better now!

Except I kinda have finals to do. So, it may take a little longer. I have to finish my finals and then I'll hopefully be able to start on the story again once summer classes hit. So, sorry again guys.
With that said, I'll see you all when I get back. Maybe I'll do a side chapter or something for Ben just to tide over the Fast Times crowd. IDK. Anyways, I'll see you all later!
