And we are back with the fifth chapter in Hell is Forever, this just in getting some nice traction for the story as expected. Jokes aside I'm glad everyone is enjoying the story and hopefully it gets better. Alright, onto reviews.
Vh227541: Thanks! I hope you enjoy this one as much as I did writing it.
The Lone Swordwolf: XD glad you are. You'll see eventually how Lute is, it'll be fun. That question will also be answered in time. Enjoy!
Nakname: Ah man, thanks. That really makes me feel proud with how this story is doing. If you like this story you might even like my other ones, my Magnum Opus being The Marvelous Devil. Enjoy!
Togy: The show put a lot of things with Hell under the rug to make Heaven (Or at least Adam and Sera) the 'main' bad guys because...Heaven always has to be bad in some form of fiction IDK.
2000: Aw thanks man. If you like this harems tory you might like TMD, or Calamity Trio. Enjoy!
King Claudius: Ya know I've thought about posting it on Archive so I might give it a go when I have the time. Enjoy!
SaiyaSage: Yeah I ain't responding to all of that. LOL. Love it tho. If you wanna know why Adam hasn't revealed it yet you will know soon, most likely next chapter. I wouldn't even said they glossed over the Angel's death, it was left ambiguous on epi 1 then literally answered in the second episode on who killed her, and then brought back just for the second to last episode. It's everywhere I swear. Whether Lute smells angelic blood is a great question since Charlie is a special case of being. But I digress.
Enjoy!
Chapter Five: Losers Part One
"And that is why we should expand our advancement with technology into the armies of Heaven." Metatron explained, standing in the meeting hall of the Archangels, the six including Sera sitting in a U shape table with Metatron at the end presenting them with a holographic projection of his new project.
"Hmm….its very intuitive, Metatron, as always." Michael applauded, his siblings joining, Metatron bowing his head.
"Still, I don't see the need since most of the army are quite gifted and skilled, with the only real battalion going into battle is Adam's forces." Michael stated, rubbing his chin.
"Mmm, yes, I know you put faith in Adam's army. While I do not doubt their skills, I do worry about their lack of…preparation. Times are changing, Michael, and I still believe Lucifer and Satan are preparing a full on invasion to Heaven if we are not prepared. Heaven is still one of the most powerful forces in Creation, but even we have been caught unprepared by Lucifer's attacks. Now with the machinations of firearms and weapons of mass destruction, we need to be prepared for whatever Hell has coming." Metatron explained, Michael nodding his head in understanding.
"Especially since we still resort to blades and spears sans the Cherubs laser crossbows."
"...I'm sorry did you say laser crossbows?" Jophiel asked, perking her head up hearing something so ludicrous.
"Yes, they're a new type of weaponry. I had Raguel design them." Uriel explained.
"Why crossbows?" Gabriel asked, feet on the table as he teetered his chair off the ground.
"Because I find the new weaponry quite barbaric." Uriel stated plain and simple. He missed the days of blades and spears during battle, nowadays people used guns or rockets….he found it uncivilized.
"Mmmm, Metatron does have a point, if the demons do advance in time even we might not be able to stop them." Camael added, adjusting his glasses.
"We did grace the Angelic steel, allowing the Exorcists to fire lasers, so that's always a win in my book." Raphael jokes, holding two thumbs up to Michael who smiles softly, noticing his younger brother's drowsy expression, clearly not getting much sleep.
"It has been over two thousands years since Lucifer attacked, and I doubt even Satan's wounds have healed from Adam's rage, and due to his actions with the Exterminations, they will not have time to create an army with the souls down there." Sera stated.
"True, however since Lucifer has forbidden us from entering the Wrath Ring we have no idea what Satan has planned or if he is amassing an army. Not to mention the others rings as well, who knows what Beelzebub or Asmodeus are planning." Metatron said. He hoped the council will agree to his idea, he never for once doubted Heaven's power, especially Michael's. However, he did not doubt that Hell did either and is no doubt building something to take down the Right Hand of God.
"Well….if Hell is planning anything, we shall be ready. Heaven has faced many trials from Inferno, but it is thanks to our Might, and Faith in Father that we have come out triumphant." Michael said, his siblings nodding in agreement.
"Besides, not only that but we also have our Taxiarch ready to lead our troops onto the front lines."
"...If he was here more often." Camael noted, gesturing to the seventh empty seat in the corner. The meeting had been going on for thirty minutes and the First Man had yet to arrive, but this was not out of the ordinary for them.
"I did send his Secretary to look for him, I'm sure he has a reasonable explanation as to why he's late." Gabriel said.
"For the millionth time." Uriel grumbled, rolling his eyes, Jophiel elbowing his arm.
"Sir! I told you we'd be late." Lute's voice echoed from the doorway.
"She's right, Boss." A softer voice said, Adam's groan echoing.
"Girls, relax, we'll be fine. I bet Metatron is boring their feathery asses to death. We'll slip in like no big deal." Adam's voice yelled from the other end, Metatron's eye twitching as Gabriel and Jophiel chuckled. Michael sighed while Sera waved her hand, opening the doors to reveal the First Man with his Lieutenant, but by his side carrying a stack of scrolls was a Cherub. This female Cherub barely reached his knees, with light blue skin and wings, wearing a white and blue summer dress.
"Hello, Adam, I'd say good morning but it was morning an hour ago." Michael said as Adam walked in with a shrug.
"Sorry, I was up all night jamming for a crowd of Winners, a private concert, all that. Hand me that scroll Lily."
"Sure thing, Boss." Lily, the blue Cherub, happily handed Adam the first scroll in her arms. Lily was Adam's Secretary by Heaven standards, but in a way was also one of his more special girls like Lute that he favored being one of the few Cherubs he had 'command' over like Keenie. Lily helped on his paperwork when he was in the office, and had been by his side after a few centuries of being in Heaven. She's also one of the only few Angels to know the Exterminations, keeping this secret for her trust in the First Man.
"Thank you, my Hot little Short Stack."
"Adam!"
"Oh cool it Metatron, she's mine." Adam waved off the Celestial Scribe as he walked towards his seat with the two girls behind him, using his magic to hover the scroll over to Gabriel.
"Gabe, your niece wanted me to give this to you, since you're the only one I told her some things about." Adam said, some of the Archangels perking up at the mention of a niece, Jophiel most of all.
"Niece? What Niece?!" Jophiel asked, shooting up from her chair as Gabriel opened up the scroll.
"Aw, it's a crude drawing of me, you didn't tell her much about me did you, jerk?" Gabriel asked, captivated by his picture. Despite his more modern choice of clothing, it seemed his niece chose to give him robes like he wore during the early days of Eden. His rosy cheeks were very bright, being one of three siblings to have rosy cheeks the other being Jophiel.
"I believe that's her." Michael said as Gabriel handed him the drawing, seeing a girl in a red suit holding hands with Gabriel with the words 'Uncle Gabby' in rainbow, the mighty Archangel chuckling.
"I'm sorry we have a niece?!" Jophiel interjected, slamming her hands onto the table. Jophiel was the most beautiful of all Angels, a literal goddess among them with long curly blonde hair, deep blue eyes and rosy cheeks, her choice of clothing being a long purple dress that reached down to her feet, jewels adorning her wrists and limbs.
"Oh….you guys didn't tell her?" Adam asked, looking at Michael, Raphael, and Gabriel who began to sweat nervously as Jophiel glared at them. While Jophiel was not the strongest of the group, she was the reason the saying 'Hell hath no fury like a woman's scorn' was made.
"U-Uh, well you see Sis…..I told Raphael to tell you. Raph why didn't you tell he-!" Gabriel turned to his brother, Raphael, only to find the Healer Angel sound asleep resting on his arms like a pillow.
"...Michael, why didn't you tell her?" Michael glared at his brother for throwing him under the bus, gulping as he turned to face his little sister's glare.
"W-Well you see, Sister, it's just….Um….Uh….Adam knew first."
"Woah, woah, woah, don't throw this at me now. Her scorns on you guys fuck that." Adam held his hands up, he was not getting caught in this shit.
"Jophiel, why are you the only one who knows?" Uriel asked.
"EVERYONE ELSE KNEW?!" Jophiel looked across the room, nodding their heads.
"Even you, Sera?!"
"I was the first to know, actually." Sera said, smiling innocently despite Jophiel's glare.
"Was no one gonna tell me?!"
"Sister, we tried but you've been so busy with fashion shows we didn't want to distract you." Camael said.
"...If I'm being honest, Father as my witness, I may have forgotten." Gabriel chuckled, ducking under a light bolt.
"If we can, please calm down. Thank you Metatron for this presentation. I will be sure to have Camael overlook it for approval and be placed in my office soon." Metatron bowed, turning to Adam rolling his eyes while the First Man flipped him off.
"Adam." Said man turned to the Archangels, standing up with Lily following him. He flew and handed each of the Archangels and Sera a scroll.
"So let me begin by-!"
"SIR!" Everyone turned to the door to see two Exorcists standing at the door panting and gasping, before quickly bowing their heads.
"Forgive us for our intrusions, Great Sarims." Michael waved his hand, allowing the two angels to speak, their masks off revealing their features. It was two of Adam's Shield Maidens, Vesta and Eris. Vesta had long ash blonde hair with golden eyeliner, while Eris had purple highlights within her long ashen hair, purple eyeliner.
"We have a report to make for the Lord Commander Adam, it is urgent." Vesta said, looking at Adam with pleading eyes. Seeing the look in their eyes could mean only one thing, they searched all of Heaven for Sachi.
"Uh….Shit, alright. Um sorry to cut this meeting short, Lily." The Cherub quickly zoomed around the room taking the scrolls gently from the Archangels.
"A-Adam what is g-going o-!"
"Oh don't worry about it, Sera. It's probably a little call from the Princess in hell, after all I gotta be there in thirty minutes don't wanna be late! BRB!" With that Adam, Lute, Lily and his Exorcist ran from the room, leaving the Archangels in stunned silence.
"...Did his girls just get him out of a meeting, or was that real?" Camael asked, stunned as were the rest.
"I wouldn't put it past Adam to do such a thing." Metatron grunted, annoyed by the First Man, the supposed representative of Humanity's laziness.
"Well, it sounded sincere and honestly Adam has been visiting that hotel frequently, all of his reports are his usual complaints about the…shithole as he calls it." Sera said with a hand on Michael's shoulder. Michael chuckled, remembering one of Adam's reports down there where he had to participate in some trust falls with the Princess and her guests at the hotel. Despite his distrust in his brother, he could feel the genuine dream his niece wanted in redeeming sinners. Though an impossible task she was tenacious. Hopefully someday he can meet her, and introduce her to the rest of the family.
"Oh here comes the morning reports, Mic." Michael looked up as several Cherubs flew in with mountain size stacks of paper, making Michael pale in dread. Right, maybe he could meet Charlie someday if he wasn't mountain deep in work. For now he can trust in Adam, while it has been two months since he had been there, he is sure the First Man is putting in some effort since he hasn't quit yet. Meanwhile, Adam flew out of LOGOS after the girls who stood at the Gates of Heaven, waiting for their Lord Commander.
"Okay girls, report. Minerva, Sigrun, you two first." Adam stated, landing in front of his Shield Maidens, the rest keeping their masks on. The Seven Shield Maidens were Adam's finest among the Exorcist, his special girls and badass bitches as he likes to call them. After he got back from the little hug and seek game with the Princess, he had summoned his Maidens to search all of Heaven for the missing Angel. It wasn't uncommon for an Angel to be left alone, but to ignore the summons and call of one of the Sarims, the Chieftains of Heaven? That was crazy, even in Adam's opinion. Lily was also the only other Angel outside the group to even know of the missing angel.
"Sir. We have checked the entire Northern Quadrant of Heaven, no sign of Sachi anywhere." Sigrun reported, saluting Adam.
"Bellona, Freya."
"We've checked the West and East Quadrants of Heaven. No sign of her."
"Fuck, shit. Eris, Vesta?"
"Nothing in the South Quadrant. Sachi is nowhere in Heaven, Sir." All Shield Maidens looked at each other worriedly as Adam paced back and forth. This was becoming worse and worse, how could one Angel disappear?
"Shit. When was the last time anyone had spoken to her?" Adam asked.
"I spoke to one of the new recruits, Rail, she said she had spoken to Sachi during…..last Extermination Day." Vesta said, the eight looking at each other in worry and fear, Lute walking up to Adam.
"Sir….She…She could-!"
"No. Fuck no she isn't." Adam growled, walking away, hands clenched into fists. She couldn't be…..She couldn't be down there. Left behind….or worse.
"Not again…..Not again….Not again."
"Sir?" The Shield Maidens walked up, hoping to sooth the Lord Commander, his wings began to get brighter and brighter. Seeing Adam in disarray, Lily flew up to his mask, a soft smile on her lips.
"Maybe…she went down to Earth." Lily suggested, even if her eyes didn't believe such a thing. It seemed to do the trick, his wings returning to his side and the glow disappearing. The Heavens seemed to have shaken earlier but stopped when Adam's agitation stopped.
"Yes! That's it, Lily you little fuckable genius!" Adam grabbed Lily and kissed her cheek, the Cherub giggling in delight, as Adam turned to the girls.
"Girls! Go down to Earth, search the entire globe from north to south for any trace of Sachi."
"Yes Sir!" Six of the Shield Maidens saluted Adam before flying into the sky and past the clouds into the Mortal Realm taking mortal forms. That left Lute with Adam and Lily, the Watcher staring down at her own hands. As the second in command to Adam's forces she took a great deal to make sure her sisters were in tight formation and trust…but it's not the first for an Angel to go missing. Most of the time they usually betrayed Heaven, but back during the Wars, she would lose many sisters. It however has been a few decades since….Vaggie, and she made sure the others knew the price for betrayal. However, knowing one is missing could lead to so many things, what if she got taken and tortured, what if she betrayed them for an Overlord or even the Ars Goetia or-!
"Lutey." Adam's hand rested on her head, fingers running through her locks. He pulled her into a hug, his heavenly warmth soothing her. It allowed her mind to think of several solutions, but one came to mind.
"Sir….there is one other way to know where Sachi is."
"...Lutey, please for the love of Father don't tell me you're suggesting….him." Adam groaned, knowing who Lute was referring to.
Metatron, the Celestial Scribe of Heaven.
"Sir, he keeps all the records of who enters and exits Heaven, Exorcists included." Adam let out a groan as he pulled away from Lute. He didn't like Metatron, he absolutely loathed the Scribe. Maybe not on the same as Lucifer, but he found the Angel to be complete and utter stiff and showed him not an ounce of respect. He was Adam, the fucking Man, so if didn't show it why should Adam give any respect to a glorified reporter. Which at times put them at odds with the Angel, so much that the Archangels had to sometimes break them up before they start wrecking the Golden City in their fight.
"Lutey…..I hate him~~~!" Adam groaned, hands on his face.
"I know, which is why I know he won't let us in if you're with me. But if I can enter the record halls, I'm sure I can find….something." Lute said. Adam really couldn't argue with her, despite his equal hatred for Metatron, all records of Heaven are kept in his Halls.
"...Alright, fine, fucking fine. Just hurry up with it, ya angsty Bitch. I need someone to come with me back to Hell." Adam said, looking at his halo to check the time. Standing at the side, Lily listened patiently, perked up at the mention of Hell. She never dreamed of entering that infernal realm, but when Adam first mentioned this 'hotel of redemption' she was interested in seeing it.
"Perhaps I shall join you, Boss?" Lily asked, flying up to Adam, who beamed up while Lute glared at her with jealousy. She wasn't alien to the idea of multiple partners, many in Heaven had some due to the Houri or just practice….but she was still protective of Adam for many reasons.
"Lily! That's my brave Fuckable Short Stack, but it's pretty dangerous so stick by me." Adam said, the Cherub happily hugging his side, blushing as Adam patted her head. Lute glared down at the Cherub who playfully stuck her tongue out when Adam flapped his wings.
"Alright, Lutey, go through the record halls. Report back to me….I'll be dealing with the Princess." With that Adam flew down towards the Infernal portal to Hell, Lily grip on him tightening as fear consumed her. He thought about Sachi, she was one of the newer angels and he hated the idea of her being down…there. If she was, if she was in Hell…..well.
There would be Hell to pay.
(HIF)
"I'll get it!" Charlie called out, hearing the knocks on the door, knowing only one angel who would knock seven times. While progress hadn't been completely crazy, Charlie was still hopeful this could work. Pentious was trying, bless his sinner's serpent heart, but he still had some work to do. Angel Dust was…Angel Dust but the pornstar will come around. Husk, the usual gruff and annoyed bartender was….still gruff and tired of everyones shit yet when Lute or Adam was here she would find the three talking over a drink. Alastor-well-Adam hated Alastor so that hasn't changed.
"Charlie, wait! Maybe….can we talk for a second?" Charlie turned around when Vaggie grabbed her shoulder, though Charlie had a pretty good idea what her girlfriend was going to say.
"Maybe for today….we just don't have Adam and Lute here?" Vaggie suggested, her one eye squinting in cringe at the mere mention of the two angelic beings. The past two months since Adam has made the bet with Charlie, Vaggie and the two have been at odds….for Lute and Vaggie's case it was nearly at each other's throat. Charlie tried to understand where Vaggie was coming from, but her girlfriend never explained why she hated the two, especially Lute. The Exorcist had surprisingly grown on some of the group, with Husk always making drinks or dry humor with the Exorcist, two winged creatures gruff exterior perfectly fit one another. For Adam, while he constantly threatened Angel Dust for constantly hitting on him, the First Man had constantly joked with the Pornstar over sex jokes, and of course her pets loved him. So why did Vaggie and they not get along?
"Vaggie, come on, I think they're finally warming up to us. Maybe if we get on Adam's good side we can even extend the bet, plus they are trying their best to help us…..a little." Charlie said. A few times Adam would join her in brainstorming new ideas for bonding or rewards. One time he had brought over a collection of videos showing him perform concerts in Heaven, or pictures he tweeted across the Golden Realm.
"Charlie, you know I want this to work….but do you REALLY trust Adam to keep his part? Let's say Pentious grows a halo, do you really think Adam will allow them into Heaven?" Vaggie asked. She loved her girlfriend, and is trying really hard to be supportive….but she didn't trust Adam. She had known him far longer than Charlie has. He was egotistical, misogynistic, a bloody psychopath. He far deserved Hell then most down here.
"I….I don't know, but we have to try and I have to have some faith in someone from Heaven that cares." Charlie said, walking up to the doors with a bright smile.
"Adam! Lu-Wait, who are you?" Charlie asked, her sudden attitude change catching the residents by surprise as they walked to the doors.
"Princess, I want everyone to meet someone." Adam stepped in letting everyone get a good look at the First Man, and the tinier Angel at his side. She was around Nifty's height or more so the average size of a basic Imp in Hell. With oceanic blue skin and wings, wearing a white and blue sundress. Vaggie instantly recognized her, but the Angel seemed to make no reaction as she looked at each of the Sinners.
"Wow, Lord Adam, this place is quite….messy." Lily mused, watching as one of the walls gave out from when a random Sinner threw a shit molotov for a prank before they were eaten by Alastor.
"Aw~~ Whose this?" Charlie asked, bending down a bit to the Cherub's level.
"Princess, Sinners, this is Lily: One of my Cherub's, a Secretary, and fuckable Short Stack. Lily, this is Charlie the Daughter of that Bitch Twink Lucicunt, the pornstar bitch Angel Dust, the drunk shit gambler Husk, the Cannibal fucker Alasta, The creepy fucking maid Nifty, and the bitch of a spy Pentious…Oh and Charlie's bitch of a girlfriend, Vaggie." Adam introduced the group, Lily taking her dress and cordial bowing to Charlie.
"It's nice to meet you Sinners, I hope to become good acquaintances."
"Well thank you and it is nice to meet you, Lily." Charlie bowed in return.
"...Did you say Fuckable short stack?" Angel Dust asked, pointing at the blue Cherub who blushed.
"Yep."
"So….you two?"
"Yep." Adam patted Lily's head who returned it with a hug. Adam was an exponentially tall being, towering even Alastor and Lily was a few inches taller than Nifty…..so it was quite a lot of process.
"So…You know what I don't even wanna know how the fuck that works." Husk grumbled walking away.
"Well I do." Angel said, walking up to Adam.
"Yeah, keep thinking cause I ain't answering…but it's a tight squeeze." Adam jokes much to Lily's embarrassment but the smile never disappears.
"Aw, she's short…..like a bug~~!" Nifty growled, glaring up at Lily. The Cherub instantly flew up and hid behind Adam's arm.
"WELL Adam, I am so glad you arrived, but where is Lute? Is she feeling okay? I know Husk's Diablo Shots can be extreme but if she needs something I can make a remedy for it?" Charlie offered, memories playing out the other day when Husk made one of his strongest drinks to date: The Diablo's Backshot. Angel became instantly drunk and passed out in ten minutes, Adam was coughing up a storm while laughing, but Lute had remained stoic as usual, but perhaps she was putting on a brave face.
"Naw she's…..actually yeah you know what? Her stomach wasn't feeling all that good." Adam lied. He had no reason to tell Charlie what Lute was doing…..especially if the Princess knew about the missing Angel if she WAS down here in Hell.
"Okay, we can do that after we do some trust or bonding exercises."
"Oh? Can I join? Cherubs do it all the time in Heaven. I would love to see what Sinners practice." Lily exclaimed, giggling happily to try whatever these folks do down here.
"That would be awesome!"
"Great, now what the hell are we doing, Princess?" Adam asked, crossing his arms wondering what childish games she had planned.
"...About that…" Charlie chuckled nervously.
"...You got fucking nothing do you?"
"Mmm, yes, Charlie has been trying to think of new wacky ideas to try and redeem these poor souls but NOTHING seems to work, just like the last several times." Alastor mused, earning a small glare from Charlie and Vaggie while Adam rolled his eyes.
"Alright fucking great, come on let's go brainstorm some new dumb ideas."
"Great, thanks Adam!"
"..."
"...Adam?" Adam looked up from his work, seeing Lilith standing above him. The First Man kneels before his fixed Garden, planting new seeds alone since some of the Angels had other duties to attend to, but Adam had a feeling Lucifer was always close by.
"Adam, I am going to join you in planting more seeds." Lilith said…..well it was more demanded then said. Adam did not know where the sudden shift in attitude came from Lilith? Was it the night they talked of Heaven? Had he said something wrong? Still, whatever happened Lilith acted….different. She always wished to do his duties or even more, make him do both of theirs. While he had no problem doing both he knew his tasks were his and HIS alone, and Lilith's insistence were…beginning to irk him. The boiling feeling was tipping over, the First Man letting out a heavy sigh.
"Lilith, your duties are what the Angels or Father have set out for you, while mine duties are mine own."
"But Adam if I help you we shall get it done faster, so we can see the new stars later that Lucifer had created." Adam had to hold back another sigh, simply rolling his eyes at the mention of Lucifer. If it wasn't about his duties or skipping them, it was always about Lucifer.
"Yes well the stars will still be there when we are done, so please Lilith go do your chores." Adam said, going back to planting more seeds. However, a hand roughly grabbed his shoulders, turning to face Lilith whose eyes had gone sharp when they reached his, surprising the First Man.
"ADAM. I don't want to do my chores, they are beneath ME, I WANT to do yours." Adam was surprised by her tone, so sharp and….harsh. Adam shook his head and pulled away from Lilith, going back to planting and digging for new spots.
"Leave him be, Lilith, this job is so beneath you." The soft and melodious tone of Lucifer rang through Adam's ears, resisting the urge to take a clump of dirt and throw it at the angel. Looking over his shoulder to see Lucifer standing beside Lilith, hand on her shoulder while giving her a soft smile….the same ones he would give her. Lilith's features softened at Lucifer, smiling down at him like she would to Adam when they made love. What….What is going on?!
"Lord Lucifer." Adam said, going back to planting seeds.
"This work is much more for people like Adam, Lilith. People who are dirty and aren't afraid to get dirty despite the mess they make." Adam's eyes did something it has never done, twitch multiple times.
"Well some of us have to work with what we have, it wasn't handed to us on a silver platter." Adam didn't know what that meant, he had heard Uriel say it once so he wanted to use it for a special occasion, but it came out before he even thought if it was good idea or not.
"Adam!" Lilith's shocked tone caught him by surprise, but none so when Lucifer teleported in front of him, staring down at him smiling sweetly. Adam could feel it though, the mere pressure from the Angel, a testament to Lucifer's might as one of the most powerful Angels in Heaven.
"What. Was. That. Adam?" Lucifer asked, placing a hand on Adam's shoulder, and suddenly Adam felt a great weight on the bones, threatening to tear them. Sweat beaded down his forehead.
"I-I didn't mean it, Lord Lucifer, I apologiz-!" Lucifer's laughter echoed through the forest, sending a shiver down Adam's back and setting off a fire in his chest, the Angel patting the First Man's cheek.
"There's the Adam my siblings know and love, for a second you might've actually impressed me. No but don't worry about it, I'm sure it was the slip of the tongue." Lucifer stood back up as did Adam, two objects materializing in Lucifer's hand.
"But I brought you guys some new fruits that Lilith requested." Adam raised an eyebrow in shock, why did Lilith request a new one? Better yet why would she ask Lucifer when Raphael was all about gardening and nature.
"Oh thank you, Luci." Lilith said, surprising Adam even more with the use of his nickname. He had tried once but Lucifer didn't like him using it so that was mostly for his brothers or sister, yet here he was not stopping Lilith.
"What…are they?" Adam asked as Lucifer handed one, noticing how hard and…hairy they were, being quite big for a simple fruit.
"I call it a Coconut, pretty impressive huh? Of course you can't eat the outside, really it's the inside that is delectable, a fruit with milk in it. Though it will be hard to open, just let me do it." Lucifer said, holding up a finger and conjuring light into a singular point, easily cutting through it. He offered one half to Lilith who happily drank the inside of the fruit, her sweet moans music to Adam's ears but it did little to stop the heat in his cheeks.
"Mmmm, it's delicious, Luci. Adam, let him cut yours." Lilith said.
"I-I don't know, perhaps there is another wa-!"
"Oh don't be like that, Adam, it will be easy. After all, with powers like mine, most things are easy for those that I love, knowing I can provide them with anything." Lucifer said, a smug smirk on his face as Adam's face scrunched up in a feeling he's never felt before, and before either of them could stop him, the First Man raised his fist and slammed it onto the coconut. The fruit cracked in half, some of the juice spilling onto Adam's feet before he took one half and drank it all down, tossing both sides away.
"I guess there's more than one way." Adam whispered, walking past Lucifer and noticed the look of shame in Lilith's eyes. For a second Adam did feel it, simply because that feeling got the best of him because of how Lucifer is. He doesn't know why he acts this way, but he did know one thing: He didn't like how close Lucifer always was with HIS wife, his lover, it wasn't right.
"What is going on here?" Lucifer's eyes widened, swallowing his spit to look up at his older brother. Michael stared down at his little brother and Lilith with disapproved glares, arms crossed originally before he lowered them with his set on Lucifer.
"M-Michael! I was just showing Lilith and Adam a new fr-OW! OW! OW!" Lucifer grunted as Michael lifted him by the ear.
"I do not remember Father issuing a new fruit, but because he has also said nothing about it I will let it slide. That does not excuse for your lack of focus, you have tasks in Heaven, Eden is mine to oversee. Speaking of which, Lilith." The First Woman's eyes widened as Michael's harsh tone was turned on her.
"I can see your tasks are incomplete, and if you don't wish to have a cold supper I suggest you finish them post haste." Lilith, so usually spitfire and regal simply looked down like a scolded child, nodding her head and walking away but not before giving Adam one last look out of the corner of her eye. He felt her gaze and turned around only to see a cold stare in her eyes, it both unnerved and hurt him but she had left before he could say anything.
"Adam." Adam stood up to stand before the mighty Archangel, but his hardened features softened a bit, placing a hand on Adam's shoulders.
"Return to your tasks." Adam simply nodded as Michael flew into the air, Lucifer in hand.
"..."
"...What to do, what to do…..Oh maybe we ca-!"
"No." Adam stated, glaring down at the princess, the two of them standing in front of a dry erase board brainstorming new trust and bonding exercises. Well, it was more like Charlie was coming up with new ideas while Adam shot them down over how 'shit' they were.
"But I didn't even get to say it!" Charlie pouted as Adam erased the idea off the board.
"I am ninety-nine percent positive that it was gonna be: Dumb, childish, and back to square one." Adam stated, staring down at Charlie, who smiled standing on her tip…hooves? Adam wondered if she had hooves or not.
"But that means there's a one percent chance it wasn't?" Charlie cooed in a child-like voice.
"Well I'm one hundred percent sure we're going back to the drawing board~~." Adam mocked Charlie with a childish voice, but that did little to deter Charlie's beaming smile. As the two tried to come up with new ideas, Vaggie watched from the side with a glare in her eye and a frown on her lips. She hated it, she hated how close Adam was to Charlie, and she hated how casual Charlie was with the man who has led hundreds of exterminations onto her people. Yet she was acting all chummy and sometimes even worse like Adam was her boyfriend, the idea sickened her. It wasn't even just Charlie but the rest of the hotel, sans Alastor, as she looked over to the group with the newly welcomed Angelic being Lily. The blue Cherub happily stood under the diving board for the trust fall, Pentious standing at the edge.
"A-Are you sure, Lady Cherub?" Pentious asked, hesitant to jump down and let such a small and adorable angel catch him due to his weight.
"Of course, I've carried loads of stacked paperwork, I can catch yo-KRK!" Lily grunted, buried beneath the long body of Pentious, who quickly slithered out of the way as Lily pulled herself up slightly dizzy.
"I'm okay!"
"Ha, she looks like a blue pancake." Angel Dust laughed with Pentious and Nifty, Husk simply shrugging as he made himself a drink. Vaggie had never talked to Lily personally but she recognized the Cherub when she followed Adam with paperwork and or clipboards with his plans on it for everything. She was as he called her a secretary but Vaggie knew that Lily deeply cared for the First Man, why was simply beyond her. Vaggie hated how easy it was that everyone could get along with them, well with Lily she could understand but LUTE?! Lute reveled in killing Sinners, and yet when she's drinking with Husk it was like they were buddies with cold emotionless demeanors.
"You need to try something new, Princess, something that you haven't done that doesn't involve fucking hugs." Adam grimaced, shaking his head wiping away a new idea.
"Oh~~~ but hugs are so much fun~~~!" Charlie bemoaned in boredom, leaning on Adam's shoulder. The First Man stiffened in surprise, staring down at Charlie in shock, before shaking his arm getting her off him.
"Yeah well it ain't getting your friends closer to a halo as it is more so one step back into the grave." Adam reminded her. Charlie frowned at the reminder, knowing they still had four months left but that was STILL less time than they had originally. Because if she doesn't figure out a plan, everyone in this hotel will return to the grave….permanently, and their trust they formed so strongly shattered.
"...Wait a minute…..trust…grave…..death…"
"Geez are you going through an emo phase?" Adam asked, eyeing the Princess in confusion before she gasped as if she struck gold.
"I got it! I know what our activity is! There isn't a moment to lose, come on Adam! Razzle, Dazzle, to me!" With that Charlie dragged the First Man behind her with the two goat demons flying behind them, preparing the next activity.

"...What the hell is this, Toots? Another game of hugs?" Angel asked, gesturing to the circle of chairs.
"Oh shit, not again." Husk and Adam groaned.
"Nope, this is gonna be different, please sit down everyone." Charlie said, gesturing to the chairs with a wave of her hands. Everyone looked at each other before begrudgingly sitting down in a new random order unlike last time. From Charlie's left it went Angel Dust, Nifty, Pentious, Husk, Vaggie, and Adam.
"Bambi ain't joining us?" Adam asked, both internally grateful and annoyed that the cannibal sinner ain't here to put in some work.
"No, he apparently has a meeting in Cannibal Town with another Overlord." Charlie said, shuffling through a stack of Q-Cards she held.
"An Overlord in Cannibal Town? Noted." Well Adam now knew where to check first when Extermination Day came.
"Oh and sorry Lily, you can watch but this exercise is mostly for the group here, Adam included." Charlie apologized, but smiled when met with a beaming smile of Lily's. The Cherub was a breath of breath to the arrogance of Adam and cold demeanor of Lute, Lily was the ideal envision Charlie had for an Angel.
"Oh it's quite alright, your Majesty, I already found my favorite seat." Lily happily flew up and landed in Adam's lap, wiggling her fat bubble ass in the First Man's lap, a smug grin on his lips.
"Lucky Blue Bitch." Angel Dust muttered, crossing his arms in annoyance.
"OKAY! So today is gonna be a little different than what we usually do but it's all about trust and bonding….but personal for a lot of you. I feel a lot of us have grown together, and while there is some distrust." Charlie said that looking over at Adam, who shrugged not denying it.
"But I think by letting it all out it shows you trust us, your friends. Today we will be talking about….how each and every one of you died and came down here." Charlie was not surprised by the look of shock on most of the Sinner's faces, but what did catch her attention was Adam's body going stiff at the mention of death.
"Uh-Charlie, are you sure this is-!" Charlie held her hand up, giving Vaggie a reassuring smile before looking at everyone.
"I know this subject is…sensitive, I can't completely relate since I was born in Hell and haven't….died. That being said, as of right now, this circle is a no judgment zone. That means when you tell your story, there will be no jokes or judgment at the dispense of the Sinner's misery or past. Adam, Angel Dust." Charlie said, looking at the two individuals who she had no doubt would be making jokes at everyone.
"Wow, way to call us out, Toots."
"Can't help but feel like you're judging us, Princess." Adam added, high fiving Angel Dust, before the Sinner grabbed Adam's wrist, pressing their cheeks together surprising the First Man.
"What the fuck?!"
"Just hold still, this is gonna be great!" Angel Dust took a selfie with him and Adam, before sitting back down in his seat.
"Oh hell yeah, I'm gonna get thousands of views and beat that bitch Kiki…Ha! Okay this one is funny from Coco."
"Angel. Let's get back on track."
"Hold on Toots, just gonna post this. You should feel lucky Mr. First Man, no goes viral this fast if it ain't marketed by VoxTek."
"The fuck you talking about, Pornstar?!" Adam growled, moving Lily to his chair and walking over and kneeling down to get a good look at Angel's phone. He immediately saw a picture of him running from the horde of cockroaches from the first exercise with Charlie, a goofy soundtrack playing as he ran.
"Ya trending Big Guy, and everyone in Hell is eating it up~~~!" Angel said, showing a picture of Adam screaming used as a meme format.
"What the shit?! When did this happen!?"
"Uh, a little bit after that cockroach shit-!"
"Infestation!" Nifty roared from the side.
"And soon everyone has been posting memes or videos about the 'Exorcist whose friends with the Princess and her shitty hotel'."
"Aw, we're friends, Adam." Charlie cooed.
"Fuck that. I am not some friend with Hell, I am the Boogeyman down here goddammit! Whoever started posting these is gonna pay!" Adam roared.
"Seriously? It's not that big a deal." Vaggie said with an eye roll, only for Adam to press his finger against her nose.
"Says you, you misanthrope angsty bitch! I'm fucking Adam, I'm the biggest celebrity next to JC in Paradise but down here?! I'm the Slayer of Demons and Sinners as I should be, not this!" Adam growled, only for Charlie's hand to reach up and pat his arm.
"Adam, it's okay. It's just a phase, I'm sure very soon people will go back to fear you." Charlie said with a beaming smile of reassurance.
"...You're fucking enjoying people liking me down here, aren't you Big titted Blonde Bimbo." Adam growled, noticing Charlie shrug with an oh-so innocent smile.
"...Maybe, just please sit down." Adam grumbled as he picked Lily back up and sat back down with her in his lap, petting her head which made her purr.
"Okay, back to the main topic in hand, I would like to st-!"

Out of the hotel, deep within Pentagram City, within a weapons factory was one very powerful Overlord: Carmilla Carmine. The Powerful and Older Demon Overlord typed at her computer over the new orders of Angelic Weaponry. While Carmilla was one of the top weapon dealers in Hell, what made her a cut above the rest was her use in making weapons with Angelic Steel, arguably the strongest material Hell will ever see due to its power to permanently kill Sinners, Demons, and even Royal Blood Hellborne like Ars Goetia.
Carmilla did not ask questions, so long as they paid it was out of her hands, who cares if some royal blood was killed? Just another empty vacuum for Overlords or Ars Goetia to fill. She had been in Hell for well over a few centuries, the passage of time is different for demons then it is Sinners or Mortals. The ringtone of her phone pulled the Overlord out of her thoughts, looking down to see it was a text from one of her daughters, Clara. She was texting her worries to her mother about two individuals who have returned once again to the Hotel at the edge of the city. She has only met the Princess a few times mainly at the annual Hellfire Gala hosted by the King of Hell, the Princess was unlike any Hellborne Carmilla had met and she can't decide if that was a good thing or a bad thing.
The Princess had recently come on to Pentagram City's new channel spouting about some hotel for redemption, for Sinners to enter Heaven and escape the onslaught of Exterminations. It was an ideal dream for one so bright and joyful, but for a place filled with damnation and infernal creatures….it was a joke. Carmilla herself did not share such sentiments, but she did wish the Princess luck. She was going to need it now more than ever as her eyes moved to the picture her daughter sent her. It seems someone in the city had made a video showing the arrival of an Angel. The same angel who has been coming to the Hotel for three days every week for the past two months and has shown no signs of stopping.
She had seen the Angelic being during Extermination, eradicating Sinners or Demons with a blast of light. From afar he looked like a Deity striking down his Heathens, but seeing pictures of him confused her. He still had wings and a halo, but much like the Exterminating Angels he wore a demonic mask. He seemed so divine yet his pure presence was that of an Infernal Beast outside the Seven Rings. He was an enigma, no one knew his name but everyone had many titles for him:
The Boogeyman
Hell Slayer
Demonkiller
The Infernal Reaper
He has been in Hell even before she was born, two thousand years ago in fact and not many knew who the angelic being was. His body was obscured by his strange demonic mask, with a robe that did not do him any favors, covering the rest of his body. Once he would only come down once a year, killing the sinners and many souls she owns. Now, he comes down every week to meet with the Princess. However, it could not be any more coincidental that they are here shortly after the last extermination. They are looking for something, and she knows exactly what it is. She texts her daughter words of protection and courage, after all the Angels had been here for months and nothing had led them to her doorstep, and she hopes it stays that way. She will do anything to protect her daughters, even face the Wrath of Heaven himself.
(HIF)
The Heavens and Hells shared only one similarity and that was the quantity of Rings, or Spheres as they are called in Heaven. The Seven Spheres were the homes of Angels, Saints, and other entities of pure light that served the Almighty. Each Sphere was ruled by the Seven Archangels originally, now six after the Fall of Eden. She and Adam lived in the highest Sphere, and while Adam was considered the Seventh of the Archangels due to his bond with them, he did not rule his own Sphere with the sole left being Diligence. Due to Adam's attitude, and the responsibility to govern an ENTIRE realm, it was gifted to one of Heaven's most influential beings of Heaven, one of the few whose rank rivaled if possibly surpassed Adam's himself.
Metatron.
Lute flew through the portal into the Sphere of Diligence, where Angels such as Thrones and Cherubs flew around large pillars that connected the very skies together. Unlike the other realms which were more modernized, Metatron's realm was practically the records of Heaven and the Mortal Realm. Every lifeform, every event, every location is recorded here and the record of who enters and exits Heaven, Exorcists included.
"Lieutenant Lute." Lute stopped her flight when Metatron himself appeared before her, letting all six of his wings keep him afloat. Metatron was one of the few Angels of his level to always showcase his six wings, unlike the Archangels who always showcased their singular pair. He was the Celestial Scribe, he knows where and what scroll is which.
"Lord Metatron." Lute bowed her head, the Scribe returning it.
"While your appearance is a surprise, it is not unwelcomed especially as I see Adam is not with you?" Metatron noted. It was not uncommon to find the Exorcist's Forces Second-in-Command at the First Man's side. Many would gossip that Adam was in a relationship with Lute and some of his Exorcists, but there was no sufficient proof. Metatron was one of the few if only angel to despise Adam and had no patience for the First Man. Adam was supposed to be the Ideal Man, the Progenitor of Mankind and what they were to aspire to be. For a time he was in a way, but as time went on Adam became everything that didn't fit into Heaven: Egotistical, Gluttonous, lazy, Metatron could go on. Of course despite the snob Adam was, if Metatron had to compliment the man….he was an efficient killer. Being trained under Michael and his skills he gained during the Primal Earth Era, Adam became the Sword of Heaven, the new Taxiarch to protect Paradise.
"He is busy, I came here on important business." Metatron cocked an eyebrow in confusion.
"And what business is that, if I may ask?"
"...Adam wishes to check a list, he believes I will find it here since he forgot where it was." Lute said. It wasn't a full blown lie, Adam was looking for a list, she just didn't need to fully describe it. Metatron remained quiet for a second, a small frown on his lips at the mere mention of Adam wanting some list. Because Metatron recorded events here in Heaven, it also meant he recorded EVERYTHING, especially Adam having sex with angels such as Lute, his Exorcists, and even his Cherubs. Metatron was thankful he could stop watching, but the problem was that the scroll would be made no matter if Metatron was watching or not. So when Adam wanted to find the scrolls, Metatron banished him from the Realm.
"Very well, I would rather not let Adam get his hands on any of these scrolls, but I have much more important tasks at hand then to make sure you find Adam's…..promiscuous adventures on paper. I'll leave you to it, Lute." With that Metatron teleported away elsewhere in the realm, allowing Lute to travel to the Entrance Section. This section of the realm categorized every single soul or angel to pass through the Gates of Hell. As she landed on her feet she walked up to the front desk where an Owl Cherub was typing away at his computer.
"Greetings, what can I help you with, Watcher of the Gate?" The Cherub asked, hooting as he finished.
"I require the records for….the Exorcists leaving the Gates for a training exercise." Since most besides the Council of LOGOS do not know of the Exterminations, Adam and Lute have made it where the Exorcists take a single day to leave Heaven for a trip across the stars, or at least that is what is said on paper. The only other angels outside the Council to know are the Watchers/Exorcists, Lily and Keenie Adam's more favored Cherubs, and THAT bitch. The Cherub typed away at the computer, humming for a few seconds before it dinged.
"Aisle E27." Lute nodded before flying away, took her quite a bit of time but she finally came to the skyscraper size aisle where thousands upon thousands of scrolls were stacked. Due to the ever coming train of souls into Heaven, Metatron has been more busy making them then simply categorizing them by time, simply marking them by Souls, Angels, or groups. She flew up until she found the scrolls marked 'Exorcists', and saw a good two thousand of them unmarked by time…..this was gonna be a long day.
"Maybe I should've made Lily do this, I bet she's having an awful time."
(HIF)
"This is great~~~!" Lily giggled as Charlie finished explaining how things were going to work.
"Thank you, Lily." Charlie was really starting to like the Cherub, she was a breath of fresh air, though she did wonder why the Cherub would want to work with Adam. Lute, she understood that the Angel may have had that halo on too tight, but Lily was nothing like the First Man and Exterminating Angel.
"Don't stroke the Princess' ego, Lily, it goes all to her head or her tits haven't figured out which yet." Charlie glared at Adam who chuckled.
"Like it goes to yours, Sir?" Lily asked innocently, she never meant anything by it, but that was all it took for several of the Sinners to laugh at the First Man's dispense.
"Mother fuck-Lily?!"
"What? You always said you love a good ego stroke, it goes to your brain or….male appendage." Lily blushed from her spot in his lap.
"Okay, okay let's get back on track. Instead of starting to my right or left, I'll let one of you start. It's okay, no judgment here." Charlie said giggling, hoping to get everything on track. Once the laughing died down, everyone looked at one another, Charlie giving them reassurance before one finally sighed.
"What the hell, it can't hurt anymore than when it actually happened." Husk grumbled, leaning forward in his seat.
"Go ahead, Husk, at your own pace." Husk sighed, summoning his deck of cards, flipping through them for a few moments.
"Ugh….I was born in nineteen twelve, born and raised in Las Vegas for most of my life. I grew up in casinos, magic shows, you name it I lived it down there. I traveled a lot too across the States, learning new tricks and plays when gambling. It's all I ever knew." Husk began, twisting a card in hand.
"I tried to be a magician but….that didn't end well for me, so I simply stuck with gambling and boy…was I good at it. Though if I had to be honest sometimes I did cheat with a sleight-of hand….far often than not it's got me into trouble. That trouble finally caught up to me when some…..unsavory folk took their losses a little too harshly. One minute I was walking down the road with a new load of cash, the next I was tied down and dropped into the sea with a block of concrete at my feet." Husk said, Lily gasped in horror, clutching Adam's hand for safety.
"Husk…." The sinner held his hand up, not done yet.
"After that, I woke up falling down into Hell and ended up on the streets. Of course they had casinos and not wanting to live on the street got back into gambling. Worked in my favor, became an Overlord, lost that status and now I'm here." Husk grumbled. Closing his eyes waiting for the mocking laughs of Adam or Angel Dust. To his surprise he heard sniffling, looking over to see Charlie's eyes watering up.
"Hu-Hu-Husk, that's h-h-orrible." Charlie sniffed, Lily pulling out a handkerchief and handing it to the Princess, letting her blow out her nose.
"It really ain't something I worry about, honestly it was the drowning was the worst part….after that it was like taking a nice sleep…..before you get a fucked up awakening." Husk said, gesturing to the entirety of Hell. Surprisingly when he looked over at Adam and his little Cherub, he was surprised to see sympathy on Lily's face while Adam….Adam looked like he understood what Husk was talking about. It confused the Sinner, but before he could say anything someone cleared their throat.
"If it isss alright, I would like to speak up." Pentious said, tapping his hands together, Charlie clapping her hands together.
"Of course, Pentious, take it away." The snake sinner cleared his throat, tapping his fingers together.
"SSSSSo I was born in eighteen eighty-eight, I was a brilliant inventor and SUPERVILLAIN in London!" Pentious proclaimed, earning eye rolls from a few of the sinners while Charlie and Lily oohed in awe.
"Yesss, well I was for a good time until my….untimely death via air blimp in New Jersey in the year nineteen thirty seven." Pentious said, and it took Husk, Adam, Vaggie, and Angel Dust a few seconds before they all gasped in realization.
"YOU crashed the air blimp?!" Angel asked, pointing all four arms at Pentious.
"Y-Yessss?"
"How? I thought your whole thing was flying blimps?!" Vaggie asked in disbelief.
"I got distracted for a ssssecond, get off my back." Pentious hissed, crossing his arms in irritation.
"I can't believe that incident was caused by an idiot like you, I'd give mad props if I wasn't so shocked." Adam said, shaking his head.
"Wait what's going on?" Charlie asked, was there something she was missing here?
"Oh but it doessssn't matter, now here I am in Hell, with my Egg Boiz with. Originally I planned to RULE ALL OF HELL…..Now I'm just trying to redeem myssself." Pentious said, shrugging his shoulders.
"Wait, your plan was to rule Hell? How was that gonna work?" Adam asked.
"He hasn't even gotten past Strawberry." Angel Dust said, referring to Alastor's nickname the Pornstar had given him.
"Hehehe….let'ssss move on pleasssse." Pentious muttered. The group remained quiet for a few seconds before Angel shrugged his shoulders.
"Fuck it, might as well get this over with. Not like it's gonna help me."
"Not with that attitude." Vaggie growled, glaring at the pornstar.
"Let's see, let's see what to start with, what to start with?" Angel hummed, tapping his chin.
"Quit stalling, Angel." Vaggie glared at the sinner.
"No, keep stalling, we might get through the day faster." Adam said, ignoring Charlie's glare.
"Oh, I got it now. I'll give you all a taste of what my life was back on Earth." Angel Dust started, clearing his throat.
"So….my family was ah-I guess you could say, my family had a sort of reputation back in New York. We were famous in the public eye, whether thats in a positive or negative light I'll leave that to y'all." Angel Dust teased, earning a growl from Husk and Vaggie before continuing.
"However, my life was cut short when I OD on a particular drug. Soon I found myself in Hell and wanting to cut away from my family life resorted to sex work and OH boy~~~ do I make it look good, right, Daddy~~~?"
"It's never gonna happen, accept the inevitable." Adam groaned.
"Never!"
"Angel Dust!"
"Alright, alright, Princess. So yeah I died from drugs, I did a lot of shit in my old life and this one…..I guess if there was one regret-besides not being able to suck that guys dick-is…..not knowing if my sister is okay." This caught everyone, even Adam, by surprise as Angel hugged himself. The pornstar has never really said much of his past, even now it feels like they know less, but to know he has a sister was still a surprise.
"Oh, Angel, you have a sister? That's amazing, I wished I had siblings-Sorry getting sidetracked, what's her name?" Charlie asked, a small smile on Angel's lips.
"Molly." The name made Adam tilt his head in thought, wondering why that name sounded so familiar. Taking a good look at Angel Dust, he imagined the Sinner with a halo and a larger set of hair over their head.
"What is she like?" Charlie asked.
"Sweet…..but I'd rather not talk about her, I haven't seen her since I died so I don't even know if she's in Hell or….." Angel's eyes wandered over to the First Man letting his words trail into silence, but the message was clear enough. Adam noticed a few eyes on him now, Lily's included, and while he could understand why they did that he hated trying to be shamed for nothing he did wrong.
"Hey, don't expect me to apologize for doing what Princess' bitch made of a dad couldn't do. But….if it's of any consolation, if she's nothing like you Pornstar, there's a high chance she's in Heaven." A statement Adam will soon try to prove correct once the day is over.
"...Heh, thanks Dickmaster." The First Man held a thumb up in return from Angel's smile, before someone interrupted them.
"OHOHOHOHOH-Me, me, me!" Nifty pleaded, waving her hand frantically.
"Okay, Nifty, you can go now." Charlie said, and surprisingly everyone leaned forward somewhat interested in Nifty's point of origin. She took a deep breath prepared to fully explain her year and how she died…only to remain silent, and stare at….nothing.
"..."
"...Nifty?"
"..."
"...Is….is she speaking telepathically to you guys? Is this like a Sinner thing?" Lily asked, everyone shaking their heads looking back at the maid.
"..."
"..."
"..."
"...Jesus, it's like staring at the void." Adam muttered, rubbing the back of his neck feeling uncomfortable by Nifty's stare. It's like the maid was staring into every Sinner and Winner's soul.
"...Uh, let's move onto someone else, I think Nifty is shy." Charlie chuckled nervously, hoping someone else will, but the only ones left were Adam and Vaggie.
"Vaggie?" The one eyed Sinner let out a deep sigh, knowing her turn would come but….she really didn't wanna talk about it. Now, seeing everyone's attention on her now, Vaggie knew she couldn't get out of this one.
"I…..I died near the start of the two thousands, back on Earth I was…..I was a prostitute, and I'd say my life was the closest to being shitty." Vaggie grimaced, Charlie offering her girlfriend a small smile of encouragement, to not be ashamed of her past. If only she knew.
"Life wasn't easy: Shitty father, shitty boyfriend, shitty life. I tried to get out of it….but my ex didn't take that to kindly….and you can guess the results." Vaggie said, gesturing to her eye.
"Damn, that's fucked up." Angel said, Lily nodding her head in agreement. She was surprised to see everyone so positive or at least not completely judgmental of her former life, Vaggie turned to the last person in the room. She expected Adam to make a snide remark, only to find the First Man looking at the floor. His mask was her only source of knowing what he was thinking about, yet even now it looked….hollow, if that was even possible for a holographic mask. Still, for a minute Adam simply stared at the floor with a thin line on his lips before he turned to Vaggie.
"Well when that guy ends up down here, he runs into one of my girls on E-Day." Vaggie's eye widened in shock, Lily nodding her head as Adam looked away only for his eyes to land on Charlie's. She simply mouthed a 'thank you' but Adam merely huffed and looked at the doorway hoping for some piece of shit to burst through it. Vaggie continued to stare at Adam in shock, but shook her head not believing the words that came out of his mouth. It was clearly some trick, he was still Adam: The same man who reveled in murdering the Sinners of Hell, the same man who thought women as nothing but sex toys, the same man who thought the universe centered around him.
"Okay, this is going great and we're nearly do-!"
"Tea…"
"...Wha?" Everyone looked down at Nifty in shock, her eye seemingly twitching as she looked at nothing once again…or was it something?
"Nifty?"
"Tea….Tea…..NO MORE TEA!" Nifty screamed, and in a flurry of feet, everyone was hiding behind Adam, the First Man staring wide-eyed at the sinner.
"...I think we should move to another spot." Charlie suggested, no one making any room for argument. A minute later everyone was sitting away from the panting Nifty, all eyes on the First Man.
"Well one more for the day, Adam." Adam sighed as he rubbed his eyes.
"Oh don't be so shy now, Dickmaster. We all shared our deaths, I think it's time we learn how the First Man hit the bucket. Let me guess, fucking a bunch of chicks to death." Angel teased.
"Angel." Charlie reprimanded.
"Oh! Oh! Did you die fighting in some great battle?!" Pentious asked.
"Or did ya get killed by an animal?" Angel asked again.
"...Old age." Adam finally said, catching everyone but Vaggie by surprise.
"...Old age? Really?" Husk asked. He honestly expect Adam to make a big deal about his death, he does with everything else.
"Yep, just got old and died." Adam shrugged.
"Sounds boring as shit, that can't be all." Angel said. He had to listen to Adam brag about his epic life, how could his death be anything less than awesome?!
"Well when you live for nine hundred and thirty years, your life full of surprises, you feel kind of glad your death was the most peaceful thing."
"Yeah well-Did you say nine hundred and thirty?!" Angel asked, Vaggie and Lily being the only ones not shocked by this revelation.
"Yeah?" Adam said.
"I thought humans only lived to be about a hundred?" Charlie asked. As far as she knew, humans didn't have long lifespans like her or her father, but when they came to Hell they were immortal. Even demons had longer lifespans.
"Well Eve and I were the Progenitors of humankind, the original intention of what humans were supposed to be….but when….when the apple from the tree was eaten evil rooted itself into mankind." Adam began, not realizing Lily had hopped off his lap and sat on the floor in front of him, silently beckoning the others down to her. Pentious happily slithered down with his Egg Boiz, and seeing where this could go Charlie slowly joined the Cherub and Sinner.
"Hell, originally Eve and I didn't age and there wasn't supposed to be aging. We were Immortal as the Angels, until the Fall. When we fell, many things happened: Animals that were once friends were our enemies and hunted us, we had to fight for survival….I was awesome at it of course, Eve was amazing too. I hunted to make sure we survived, she farmed berries or cooked, and we survived. That's when we realized we aged….slow, but surely we were aging. Eve was scared, I was freaked out too but had to keep it together….and that's when the kids came along." Adam said, staring absentmindedly at the ceiling, unaware of the group as Angel Dust now joined the others on the floor, followed by the pets into Charlie's lap.
"We had a lot of kids, can't remember the exact number but we had so many I had to list them so it's somewhere up in Heaven but when you have so many you don't keep count and just….love them, or hate 'em depending if they were little shits. They aged but…..but they didn't age like me and Eve. Some died due to the wilds or sickness or…..events out of our control but those that did aged. They aged fast, faster than me or Eve, at first we thought they were sick but the Angels explained that because of sin, age was one of the many inflictions upon the world. By the time me and Eve were eight hundred years old our kids were gone, their grandkids lived and well…..that was a sight to see." The others were surprised to see a soft smile on Adam's lips, the mask glitching for a second.
"As we got older our bodies became elderly, no longer were we our beautiful immortal selves. Eve….she passed beside me, as I held her and watched her drift into her final sleep, she never woke up. I buried her next to my kids and kept on living until about a hundred and thirty years later where I finally embraced the clutches of death. Princess, have you ever wondered what Death is like?" Adam asked, looking down at Charlie, who slowly shook her head.
"For some it's cold, for some it's a warm embrace, for me…..it was like I closed my eyes and began being pulled to the clouds. Because when I woke up, I was in Heaven, welcomed by the Angels I called my family." Adam said, taking a deep breath before looking at his hand.
"After that they gave me clothes and welcomed me to Heaven….but at the same time I still felt different. A lot like you Sinners, Saints never took on their human appearances, so it felt like I was the only one who didn't belong…..but luckily the angels made sure I was. I mean I'm Adam, the Man, the First of them all, I lost Paradise…but I clawed my way back." Adam finished, forming a golden sphere that took the shape of an eagle.
"...Damn." Husk muttered, shaking his flask.
"Yeah, sorry my death was pretty much the most anticlimactic thing in my life." Adam said, flicking the spectral bird away.
"Oh but it's so beautiful, Boss." Lily complimented, clapping.
"Thanks, Lily."
"And hey look on the bright side of things." Angel began, standing up and leaning on the First Man.
"At least you got to be with your wife and kids again up in the big clouds." Angel said with a chuckle, unaware of the sudden cold shift in the room. Charlie's eyes widened while Lily covered her mouth, and Vaggie slowly reached for her spear. Adam remained silent, but he slowly stood up from his chair, glaring down at Angel Dust.
"What?"
"Angel." Charlie warned softly, knowing he only meant well yet didn't know, but the Pornstar continued.
"I'm not trying to insult you, I mean it is cool to be with your family…..right? Am I saying something crazy?" Angel asked looking at the others, so far no one was disagreeing but he knew something was wrong as everyone seemed on edge. Adam glared down at the Pornstar, his pure Immanence radiating with holy power about to be unleashed…..only for it to flicker away as if wind blew by.
"I need to clear my head." With that Adam walked away and up the stairs, leaving the group of confused sinners.
"What did I say?" Angel asked. It's not like he was trying to insult Dickmaster, he now had Paradise and his whole family with him? In fact Angel was a little jealous now, the only family he ever loved is his sister and he has no idea if she is in Heaven or Hell. He prays she's not in Hell nor is she dead, but he has no idea if she is in Heaven.
"Nothing, Angel, I know you mean well." Charlie said, placing a hand on the Pornstar.
"It's not like you really said anything to insult him." Husk said, shrugging his shoulders.
"Not that it takes much to anger him." Vaggie said, which didn't go unnoticed by Lily but the Cherub said nothing, standing up from her spot.
"Though it ssseemed he didn't like you mentioning his family." Pentious noted, tapping his chin.
"I'm not surprised many of you don't know. Even in Heaven it's a sensitive subject, nearly forbidden to talk about Eve. She isn't what one would consider a positive icon at least for some of the older angels." Lily explained.
"What do you mean?" Charlie asked.
"When Eve ate the apple and gave root to Evil, it created a delicate balance that was forced upon creation. It wasn't a gift made by the Almighty, but a force of destruction that weaved itself into everything, the only place out of reach being Heaven itself." Lily explained.
"Okay, but that doesn't explain Dickmaster's attitude a second ago." Angel Dust said, gesturing to the second floor where Adam disappeared to.
"By eating the apple, Eve created Sin upon mankind, being the Mother of them all. She gave the Seven Sins power over humanity, and in doing so forever sealed her fate. Hers, and her children, would never see the gates." Lily said, and it took the others beside Charlie and Vaggie a second to realize it.
"Shit, you mean…" Lily nodded her head, answering Angel's question.
"Adam was the first and only soul to enter Heaven for nearly a few centuries." Lily said.
"Damn….poor bastard." Vaggie resisted the urge to roll her eye. She hated how everyone was feeling bad for Adam, yet the First Man showed no signs of sympathy for their own deaths or past, because that's how he was. He cared for no one and craved attention. Even in the past he only wanted Eve to be at his side as a submissive housewife, and it was no wonder why she ate at apple, giving her own choices.
"Hold on, I don't get one thing." Charlie said, rubbing her chin. She knew about Eve and Adam's children not entering Heaven, but there was something she didn't understand.
"Adam said when Eve ate the fruit they were kicked from Eden but why was Adam allowed in Heaven when Eve and her children weren't?" Charlie asked.
"Isn't it obvious, Charlie?" Vaggie asked, standing up now gaining everyone's attention.
"Because Adam is Heaven's favorite golden child, he is loved and adored despite what a piece of shit he is. He gets to enjoy Heaven while the likes of Eve, your Mom and Dad suffer down here." Vaggie said.
"Vaggie-"
"While I don't agree with this….Sinners opinion, it's not far off." Lily said, catching everyone's attention by how calm the Cherub is.
"Adam is….unorthodox for a Saint in Heaven, but back then he wasn't always like that. I don't know what caused the shift, but Adam isn't the same as he was back then."
"So why did he get into Heaven if Eve didn't?" Angel asked.
"Because he didn't do the one thing Eve, Lilith, and Lucifer did: Eat the apple."
(HIF)
"Very good, Lucifer." Lilith cheered, clapping her hands along with the rest of the Archangels and Sera. The group sat beside the fire Adam made with the pot of soup slowly boiling, the sun slowly setting over the horizon. Said First Man was a little away from the others, watching the sheep with his back to the group, a frown on his lips despite enjoying the dinner.
"Thank you, thank you. I've been fine tuning that one for a while. Not to brag but that beats any whistle or tune by anyone either Heaven or Earth." Lucifer said, bowing his head to his brothers and sister who chuckled or sighed at their brother's ego, Adam merely grumbling.
"In fact that one was made in your honor, Lilith." Lucifer said, smiling towards the First Woman.
"R-Really?" Adam couldn't help but be annoyed by how flustered Lilith sounded, just imagining her beautiful smile as she looked at the brightest Angel. It wouldn't be the first time that Lilith seemed so jovial with Lucifer in contrast with him now. Nowadays she would wake after him not even saying hello and simply going about her chores, but when Lucifer was around it was like a flip was switched. The Angels tried to reason with the two, whether it was with Lilith trying to make Adam do his chores or Adam trying to explain to Lilith how things worked. Yet when Lilith was in a bad mood, Lucifer would appear to calm her, take her aside to console her or gift her with many presents for creation. He even created a whole constellation in her name, despite Adam doing that first.
It wasn't fair, what had he done that warranted this attitude? He loved Lilith, more than the Garden itself, he would move the mountains and forge the landscape in her name if she so asked. So why was he receiving such cold stares, such sarcastic remarks? He was Adam, was he not? Does he not deserve equal respect as the Angels have told him? No, instead Lucifer treated him as if he was beneath him while Lilith was…..was his wife. It seemed Adam was not the only one to notice a shift in the air, a certain Archangel looking over at the First Man every so often, curious as to why the Son of the Earth was looking out to the fields instead of sitting by the others. He could practically feel the frown on Adam's lips.
"Adam, what troubles you?" Michael asked, standing up from his spot and making his way over to the First Man.
"Oh! Uh, nothing Lord Michael. I'm just simply watching the herds, because I believe Oregano has been secretly eating the fruits while we sleep." Adam gestured to the herd of horses, one named Oregano in particular.
"Oh come on, let's not worry about the horses, brother. Let Adam play nightguard, I have another new song I wanted to showcase." Lucifer said.
"Oh yes, another one would be pleasing, I can never get enough of them. Aren't they amazing, Adam?" Lilith asked, and Michael made note of the small noise as Adam rolled his eyes.
"Yes, they truly are a marvel…despite hearing them for the millionth time." Michael couldn't hold the chuckle in, shaking his head at the slight dig at his little brother. He loved Lucifer, his little brother was the few things in all of creation that brought a smile to his lips, but Lucifer was very arrogant for an angel of his status and age. His eyes wandered over Adam's shoulders and at his feet, seeing a strange looking object hidden in the shadows.
"What's this, Adam?" Michael asked, and before Adam could stop them, most of the Angels save for Lucifer and Lilith zoomed over in a flash of light, looming over Adam. The First Man attempted to reach for the instrument, a bit embarrassed having his new secret creation be revealed when it wasn't completely ready was not a feeling he wanted. Still, he saw the smiles on their faces made his chest warm, he hoped Lilith would share the feeling as well.
"Oh, Adam, it's lovely." Camael complimented.
"Yes it's amazing….something." Gabriel shrugged his shoulders.
"What is it?" Jophiel asked. Finally growing impatient, Lucifer zoomed over with Lilith, and his eyes narrowed at the object while Adam stood up with said thing in hand.
"Looks awfully familiar, not as beautiful as the original. Seriously, did you just string that junk together?" Lucifer remarked. It looked similar to his violin, albeit much bigger and more crude, as if stuck together by wood.
"Oh, Adam, you made a violin in honor of Luci's violin, how nice." Sera said, smiling at the First Man who returned it.
"Well it's not a violin, I wanted to make my own instrument…..I don't have a name for yet. I wanted to try and play it later, practice a bit before I played it for all of you." Adam said, presenting the instrument to the group.
"Quite impressive, though where is the bow?" Uriel asked.
"I don't have one, I wanted to try an instrument that you play using your hand. Here, let me show you all." Adam said, taking the instrument, and slowly began playing it. He did wince a few times as he hit a few strings harsher than intended, but the music was better than it was before and the Angels did close their eyes as the throes of melody hit their ears.
"Very good, Adam." Raphael praised, the others clapping along as Adam finished. Adam loved the approval, turning to Lilith for such praise, but to his surprise her features were flat. She did clap but it was slow, but he could not make out any of his features.
"Yes, though you could use some practice. Of which I am sure our resident music lover can help with." Michael suggested, elbowing Lucifer who had a frown on his lips the minute he saw Adam's crude copy of his violin. Now Michael was gonna try and make him Adam's teacher for music, he'd sooner teach a penguin to dance.
"Actually…..I'd like to practice on my own." Adam's sudden request caught everyone by surprise, none more than Lucifer and Michael. The youngest Archangel gawked at the First Man, while Michael simply hummed. It was the duty of the Angels to guide Adam and Lilith, but it was also the man and woman's job to discover and create new things so long as they served in Father's will and love. Perhaps this was the will of the Father, for Adam to follow his own path of his own choosing and who was Michael to deny it.
"Very well, I see no pro-!"
"Oh, but if it was Michael, or Raphael, or even SERA who offered you lessons you'd gladly take them, am I correct Adam? Because it's me you're above lessons?" Lucifer asked, glaring up at the First Man, catching everyone by surprise with Lucifer's sudden anger.
"Now, now, Luci." Jophiel started, hand on Lucifer's shoulder to calm him.
"I'm sure Adam just mea-!"
"Yes. I most likely would have taken those lessons if it was from anyone BUT you…Lucifer." Adam's words brought shock to everyone there, mouths dropped at the pure disrespect in Adam's voice, but the First Man was not done.
"In fact, I'd sooner take lessons from turtles before I took a single word of yours to heart." Adam said, glaring at Lucifer.
"How dare yo-!"
"You have no right to judge me, yet the minute you entered the garden all you've done is mock me and belittle me with your flowery words and so-called 'jest' that I will never be like you. Well guess what? I'm glad I'm nothing LIKE you." Adam growled, glaring at Lucifer as the two now stood face to face, Lucifer in the air and eyes appearing across his body.
"How dare you, you little mongrel. I am an Angel of Heaven, a being of pure light and beauty, I've created things beyond your imagination. You have no free will like I or my brother, you have no aspirations for beyond, simply what you are told! You're just a little pet project Father created because he was bored, you're of dirt and sand, and you don't create anything, you simply take the credit that WE angels make-!"
"ENOUGH." Michael's booming voice silenced the two, both feeling small compared to Michael whose flames burned bright, glaring down at the two in anger and shame.
"Lucifer. Heaven, NOW. Adam. Bed, NOW." Lucifer gave Adam one last glare before flying away along with the last of the Angels, Sera giving him one last look before disappearing. That left Adam alone with Lilith who had been quiet the whole time. Not wishing to stand there like a fool, Adam took his instrument and walked away, sitting by the fire.
"Adam….what is wrong with you?" Lilith's voice cut through him like Michael's blade through stone.
"Nothing is wrong with me, I am perfectly healthy-!"
"You know exactly what I mean, Adam. How could you disrespect Lucifer like that, after all he does for us." Adam, having grown tired of how she said his name, stood up and turned to the cold stare of his wife.
"After all he's done for us?! You mean for you?!" Adam accused, glaring at Lilith.
"What?"
"Don't act surprised, Lilith. I've seen the way he looks at you, the way he treats you in comparison to me or the others. I'm nothing but a worm beneath him but to you it's like you're the stars themselves." Adam began, walking across the fire kicking one of the bowls from the angels.
"Why do you make it like that's a bad thing?!" Lilith said, her expression as if Adam insulted her.
"Because it's not right, I've been doing such a thing and yet you barely gave me the time of day, as if I've done something wrong. It is not him who should be this close to you, but me, your husband! Your lover! Your companion!"
"My jailmate?" Lilith added, shocking Adam.
"What?!"
"Adam, how can you love me when you don't understand me?" Adam was shocked to hear such words come from Lilith. How can he not understand her? He was there the first day she arrived, and had been by her side since. They gazed upon the stars, they told stories, they laughed and sang songs into creation.
"Lilith, how can you say such a thing?! I love you more than anything in this garden!"
"And that's just it, Adam! All you know is within this Garden! We're just trophies for the angels and this 'Almighty' all for creation to see like prizes to gloat. When we can be so much more, so much that Lucifer has shown me." For the first time Adam let out an annoyed growl throwing his arms in the air.
"Oh but of course, because Lucifer said so it must be true. Lucifer did this, Lucifer said this, Lucifer transformed into this. It's always Lucifer with you, Lilith. It's never just the two of us." Adam said, this time Lilith growled and stepped forward.
"Just like it's never been. It's always you with an angel or vice versa, whether it's Raphael, Jophiel, or Sera~!" Adam made note of how cold Lilith mentioned Sera, his first true friend in the garden.
"It's okay for you to have them as your companion but not I with Lucifer? Why is that?!" Lilith asked, inches from Adam's face.
"Because I know how he feels for you, and I don't like it!"
"So what?! He can like me and I can like Lucifer there is-!"
"NO! I will not stand for that, anything but that." Adam's roar silenced Lilith, his hand on her shoulder.
"I am the husband and YOU are my wife, not HIS. That is how it is and will always be!" Adam finished, the entire garden went silent. After a few minutes of gasping, it finally dawned on Adam what he said, regret across his features as Lilith's eyes watered.
"...L-Lilith-I-I didn't mean what I said. I lov-!" But his words were silenced as Lilith's hand slapped his cheek, and she turned her back to him. He turned to her fleeting form, watching her shoulders shake and cries, leaving him by the fire. Yet the fire within him vanished and all he felt was regret and shame with himself, falling to his knees. He sat there for hours til the sun came up, and yet he had not moved even when someone landed beside him.
"Adam?" Hearing his voice, Adam looked up to see Sera kneeling down to his level, worry and confusion in her eyes.
"What are you doing?" Adam stared at the Seraphim, eyes wide with fear, surprising Sera by leaning onto her shoulder. Sera went stiff for a second but instantly welcomed it, hands around his body.
"I….I made a terrible mistake, Sera." Sera shushed Adam, hugging and petting his hair, doing her best to comfort the First Man within the Garden.
He closed his eyes taking in her scent, for a second he smelled roses before sulfur filled his nose, opening his eyes to find himself walking down the walls of the hotel.
"...Eve." Adam muttered, reaching for his halo and pulling out a copy, forming a large portal. He looked through the ripple in reality to see Earth. It zoomed onto a city and street, seeing the same woman from earlier walk down the street, applying makeup to her cheeks, but Adam made note of how much she put under her left eye. The implication made his hand ball into a fist, sighing in defeat as he took the halo and made it disappear.
He walked down the halls, eyes landing upon the portraits on each wall, some depicting Charlie's life with her family or some event in Hell. The first to catch his eye was a portrait of the Moringstar family, young Charlie beside her bitch of a father and….Her. His first lover, his first ex, his companion, his betrayer, his ambrosia, his poison.
…..His Lilith.
"...Lilith." Adam muttered. Even as the Queen of Hell she had divine beauty, as if she was untouched to the sands of time. He kept walking until he saw another portrait showing the family standing beside another, this one he did recognize.
"Guess Leviathan got himself his own bitch, can't help but always try to one-up Lucicunt." Adam growled, making notice of the Sin of Envy, with Charlie hugging onto the son. So he was a boyfriend? Hmm, interesting. Shaking his head Adam continued to look upon each portrait, some with the Morningstar family, others depicting Charlie with the other sins such as Asmodeus or Beelzebub. That was until he landed on the last one, this one was…..interesting to say the least. It depicted the Seven Deadly Sins from the Prideful Lucifer to the bitchy Mammon in their true forms fighting against some….Soul? The being was made of pure white flames, with a halo on his head. He was trading blows with Lucifer with the other Sins around them, Adam looking down at the title.
"The Seven Sins against….the Demiurge."
"It was an evil soul." Adam looked to his left to see Charlie walking up to him.
"Sorry, I wanted to come check up on ya. I can see your admiring some portraits my father had made." Charlie said, standing next to the Ascended. Adam merely shrugged before looking back at the portrait.
"My Dad told me the Demiurge appeared in Hell a thousand years after our realms creation. It's said that his flames were unlike Hellfire and yet not that of Heaven. He challenged the Sins but lost and disappeared shortly after, my father has no idea where he went." Adam said nothing, looking down to see the Princess staring up at him.
"Are you okay? Angel didn't mean anything by it-!"
"Its fine, I'm not insulting if the fucking Pornstar knows nothing of my past or that….I didn't get to see Eve or my kids." Adam said, clutching his fists in anger. Charlie stared up at Adam in wonder, yet confusion in her heart. This man, the first man, was considered a monster by Hell's standards and yet….there was more to him than meets the eye. He was brash, arrogant, crude, perverted, and yet he was loved and loved back. Lily speaks with such reverence for the man and Adam seemingly enjoys the Cherub's company, Lute even moreso. In the story Adam was dominant and controlled her mother, yet Adam did so many things that confused her yet….attracted her to his presence. He was an enigma, one she wanted to crack open and learn so much of.
"Adam, can I say something?" Adam turned to the Princess, shrugging as she fiddled with her fingers.
"...I always thought I fully understood you, and yet I feel I know so little. My parents think of you as a monster-!"
"That's rich coming from the bitch who can transform into a Seven headed dragon."
"The man who began the Exterminations, the man who controlled my mother, the man who was given paradise and abused it. Yet I feel like I that despite knowing about you, there.s so much I still don't know about, even with that book-!"
"Book?" Adam asked, looking at Charlie in confusion. The Princess took a deep breath, placing her trust in that Adam will understand. She beckoned him to follow, unaware of the eye watching them go, the Princess leading the angelic being away. Adam found himself in what appeared to be Charlie's room, following her to a couch. He sat down beside her as she reached for something, looking up at him with a small hopeful smile as she held up a book. Adam's eyes landed on the cover of said book, and its words made his body go stiff, unsure of its contents and yet he feels like he already has a clue.
The History of Hell.
(HIF)
Adam is gonna have a field trip with that book, and it's not gonna be pretty. Meanwhile Lute is now trying to find leads on the missing angel, the B-Plot about to conclude in three chapters. This was a fun chapter for many reasons: The past, the death circle as I call it, and Lily. Lily wasn't the character I had intended to appear this chapter but I really wanted to introduce a new Heavenly perspective to the group, and while Emily was a definite option I went with one of the...sort of OC that is in a relationship with Adam. Lily's design isn't my own, it's off of Angel Millie by Emositecc (I think I got that name right), her interactions with Millie will be fun lol. Lily is a Cherub, specifically Adam's along with Keenie and two others (Who may or may not make an appearance in part one IDK) and she is his 'Hot little short stack' so she-like Lute and the Six Shield Maidens-are in a relationship with the First Man. That's gonna be fun to explain IN the story.
The main focus of the chapter was the circle again, this time focusing on how everyone died. Aside from Angel, it never goes into how the others died so really I just made something up for Husk. Him being a cat sinner I based around the fucked up Tom and Jerry bit where those three kittens were drowned and ended up in Heaven. Nifty is a secret and honestly I'm gonna leave that ambiguous cause it's funny. Pentious actually died in 1888 but I changed it around for a certain...blimp incident cause it fits with Pentious' story lol. A big part is Angel Dust death was drug overdose, but I wanted to include the introduction of his sister which will be at a later point. Vaggie's a bit weird cause in the pilot and I believe in the original draft she was a hooker in the eighties, and this will be part of her development with Adam but I'll keep that a secret. I doubt anyone actual knew or even remembered how old Adam was when he was alive but that motherfucker was OLD. There was one thing I wanted to get into but I'm keeping that for a later date. I have fun with the Archangels and they will be a big part of Adam and Charlie's journey being the Heavenly side to the family...and the beef with Lucifer. As you guys can tell by the flashbacks we are...getting to THAT moment, literally next chapter hence why the chapter title is 'Losers' as it fits on how everyone died and what happened in the past.
Eve is an integral part to the story, from the past to even Adam's future, being the Mother of Mankind and in a way it's doom due to eating the apple. Adam not eating the apple is something I don't remember the show mentioning (Either that or I just glossed it over on accident since there is so many plot points) so Adam not taking the bite is a very point to his character. It ties with this Demiurge character for the story and what that means I will not say. There will be less flashbacks in part two onward but when there is it will be from other perspectives. Part one is all about Adam and the fall. I'm gonna work on the next three chapters, and once chapter eight is done I'm going back to work on The Marvelous Devil, maybe even others. So now Lily is officially part of the main cast and will continue to be so moving forward, I hope I can really give her a character and how she is. In a way she is pretty much Angel Millie which isn't saying much since Millie isn't a strong character but I hope I can give them both justice. I really enjoyed writing this chapter but the next chapter is gonna be crazy since: Adam has enough of Vaggie's sass and reminds her why he's the fucking Man, Charlie and the gang learns more about her family on the Heavenly side from Lily, Angel's friend blows her way into the hotel hoping to bring the pornstar on a night of the town, and Lute continuing her search for Sachi's whereabouts.
