I looked up, feeling a massive psychic presence come closer to the house.
I smiled slightly, saving my work on my computer and getting up, walking towards the front door.
Opening it before Tatsumaki even had time to ring the bell, I smiled at the woman-
And then blinked.
"Aeon. I'm going to go spend the day killing monsters. Do you want to go with me?" she asked.
I blinked again slowly, taking in the long, flowing green dress, and… was that actual make-up? I'm pretty damn sure she usually never bothered with it…
Also, Tatsumaki, wanting someone around to kill monsters?
And that's not even considering what my (Empathy) was picking up…
I smiled softly at her. "I take it, if the dress and make-up is anything to go by, that you made your decision."
She blushed, but did not look away, an almost challenging glint appearing in her green eyes.
"So, are you coming or what?"
I chuckled, then a moment later my clothes shifted for long flowing black robes.
Specifically, ones reflecting the cosmos in ways that made it clear the fabric was no mere natural thing.
Tatsumaki blinked as I stood before her in an outfit I used when I was in regular god mode…
Well. The lower-scale god mode.
If I went full God mode, I would have a black suit over a cosmic body.
I closed the door behind me, and smiled at Tatsumaki.
"Come on, let's see what beasts we can hunt today."
Tatsumaki grinned, and soon enough we were off, flying into the distance towards where the Hero Association informed us the nearest monster was through our communicators.
I couldn't help but be amused, though.
Trust Tatsumaki's idea of romance to be her asking me to go hunt and kill things together.
Now, the question was: was she as wild in the bedroom as in the battlefield?
If things went well, I might just find out eventually…
-
The morning went pretty much as expected.
Tatsumaki's natural competitive nature meant that less than five minutes after we left my home, she began speeding up, trying to get to the monster first by flying faster than me.
I accepted the challenge, smirking as I sped up harder and went past her.
She scowled, but her eyes gleamed with approval as she sped up harder.
I turned and winked at her, then began warping space to go even faster.
Tatsumaki's eyes widened, before they narrowed and she replicated the move.
I laughed, then put up even more speed.
Tatsumaki gritted her teeth and pushed faster-
And then her eyes widened as we found the giant monster, and she hesitated for a split second.
I didn't, and outright plowed straight through it in a shower of blood and gore, before stopping and turning back towards her with a triumphant grin.
"First win goes to me." I said smugly, eyes twinkling like stars…
Well, literally so in my right eye's case.
As expected, Tatsumaki scowled at both me and the falling corpse of the monster, before her eyes gained a glint and she took off like a bullet.
I followed after her, a sonic boom echoing from where I was.
Over the next few hours, we both flew around the world, gleefully smashing through monsters and trying to outspeed each other.
I was obviously holding back, but to be fair so was Tatsumaki, as she could have easily crossed most of the solar system in very little time if she wanted to.
Either way we had fun, a lot of monsters were killed at a record speed, and countless people were saved as a result of Tatsumaki's impromptu little date/Challenge.
We finally came to a stop in front of a restaurant that Tatsumaki deemed "acceptable" enough to often eat at, which needless to say was high praise indeed coming from her.
The staff, apparently warned in advance that she wanted a table for two, and that today better be PERFECT, all but bent backwards to make sure our stay was pleasant- though to be fair, the moment they saw just who, exactly, Tatsumaki had as her date, it became a good question of which of us both they were more eager to please.
Of course, the paparazzi didn't waste any time arriving in force, but to their credit they stayed well-enough away to not get in the way.
They probably knew better. Bad things happened to those who were stupid enough to piss either me or Tatsumaki off in the past, after all.
And in general, you only had to make a few examples before the rest learnt.
Tatsumaki still scowled at their presence, but I quickly brought up the funniest, or the more vicious, examples of how I handled the most stupid members of their kind in the past, and soon enough Tatsumaki was left laughing loudly and eagerly sharing her own stories on the subject.
I was left completely unsurprised that it usually involved people being telekinetically punted through walls.
Either way, score one for social skills!
As for the food and drink, they were admittedly excellent. Not as good as what I could make, but I was a Divine Gamer, I could cheat.
I also ended up sharing my appreciation for good wine with her by buying quite a few drinks of various vintages. Hey, I was still a Frenchman at heart!
That… might have been a mistake, though.
Tatsumaki did not do alcohol.
Mostly because she got drunk really, really quickly.
"And zen, and zen, tis stoopid monster mocked my size!" Tatsumaki hiccuped, her face a bright, blushing red, took a deep gulp of wine, then pointed a sharp finger at me while her green eyes were narrowed into slits. "So do you wanna know what I did?!"
"You blew him up into tiny bloody chunks?" I replied, highly amused by Drunk!Tatsumaki's antics.
"So I blew him up into tiny bloody chunks!" she shouted gleefully, arms waving wildly as if to mimic an explosion, almost spilling her wine at the sudden move, before blinking. "Hey, did you see it? I donna remember seeing ya…" she slurred, frowning at me.
I chuckled. "I just know you and how you think quite well by now." I replied with a smile.
She blinked, then smiled. "See, that's why I like ya. You get me. No one-" she hiccuped, then looked sad. "No one got me before. Not even Fubuki." she eyed her wine, visibly debating taking another gulp of it, before choosing not to. "I gotta protect her, ya know? Lotta creeps out there, all wanna our psy… pchy… powers!" She slammed her free hand on the table, her body glowing a dark green. "Well, I won't let them! She's… She's all I've got left… *Hic*"
Her gaze fell down to her glass of wine, blinking, before she finished the glass and looked back at me with an apologetic expression.
"That's why I had to test ya, yeah? See if ya… if ya could help my sis." She smiled. "And you did. She's growing stronger, now. I'm proud of her. Sad, because she isn't going to be mah baby sis no more, except she'll always be, see? But now…" she fell silent, before smiling again. "She's gonna grow strong, like me. And one day… one day, we'll be goddesses, and no creep can gonna get us."
She hiccuped, then slumped in her seat. "Mmh… Drinks taste so good, but always makes me sleepy… Doesn't mix well with psy… pchy? Power." She smiled weakly. "Love ya. I don't say it, but I really, really love ya."
I chuckled, then smiled softly. "Here, that gotta help."
I gently took her free hand, and let my power sober her.
She stiffened, blinking several times before flushing brightly and looking anywhere but at me.
I pulled back with a soft smile.
If I wasn't who I was, I might have genuinely believed that she simply couldn't hold her drink and that was the end of it.
But I knew that this is not what happened. I taught Tatsumaki all kinds of techniques, including ones that could have easily prevented her from getting drunk… if she hadn't wanted to.
And she had wanted to.
Because she knew that she had things to say her pride would not let her, and she knew she had no filter while drunk, and so she deliberately used my opening on wine to get herself drunk so that she could say what she felt, without her pride getting in the way.
She got drunk, just so that she could freely admit that she loved me, without anything to hold her back.
It was ridiculously adorable, and spoke of the sheer trust she had in me, the sheer determination she had to make this work, and the lengths she was willing to go to to succeed at this whole "romantic love" thing she was probably experiencing for the first time in her life.
Oh, I suspected it was also a test of sort- to see what I would do while she was "vulnerable"- and by the bright blush on her face and the emotions I picked up, the fact that I had sobered her up without hesitation once she was starting to really get black-out drunk was most definitely a perfect pass with flying colors of that test.
So with that all being said, I smiled at her, and calmly said we should get to the desserts, without making any mention of what had just happened.
Then, I told her I would enjoy just walking around with her, simply getting to know her better.
The brilliant smile she sent me at those words once again showed that I spoke exactly what she wanted to hear.
As we finished lunch, both Tatsumaki and I agreed.
We most definitely had a great time at the restaurant.
-
After a long walk around the nearest park, and only two additional monsters squashed like bugs, we finally went back to my house.
I couldn't stop the amused grin at the fact that Tatsumaki was escorting me back home, and by the look on her face she was simultaneously pleased and embarrassed by the same.
Still, after opening the door of the house, I turned back towards her, a warm smile on my face. "Thank you for the great time, Tatsumaki. I really enjoyed myself today."
As expected, my words made her straightened, a haughty grin on her lips. "Well, of course. You were with me, after all." she replied, though I could feel her relief that everything went well beneath her satisfaction and pride.
"Hmm." I hummed in amusement at her words, before my smile widened.
"There's just one last thing that I still need to do."
She blinked, frowned slightly. "What-"
Before she could finished, I moved, one arm going around her waist, the other behind her head-
And then I pressed her firmly against me and kissed her hard, her head tilted back.
Tatsumaki's green eyes bulged in shock and she stiffened, remaining almost completely frozen in place for a long moment as I kept kissing her, before I broke the kiss and smiled warmly.
"Love you, too, Tatsumaki."
She flushed, whatever words she was going to say lost utterly as her emotions exploded into joy/delight/pleasure/ and a certain amount of both love and lust.
I let her go, stepping back with my warm smile only growing as she looked away, still blushing brightly, her right hand going to rub her left arm.
"See you soon?" I said hopefully.
She jerked a nod.
I turned away and closed the door behind me, while outside Tatsumaki remained frozen stiff for a moment, before her right hand slowly went to her mouth, her fingers softly touching her lips.
Then she let out a brilliant smile, and took off flying at full speed, green eyes sparkling with delight.
-
"Aeon!"
"Hey, you two. Things are going well?" I asked with a smile.
The Summer twins paused, then nodded.
"Can't complain. The monsters are growing stronger and more numerous, but it's nothing we or the Association can't handle."
"Good to hear. Though, I can't help but feel you two wanted to ask me something…" I trailed off, raising an eyebrow.
They stiffened, fidgeting slightly, before the silver-eyed Summer blurted out her question.
"Are you and Tatsumaki actually dating?"
"We are." I calmly replied, though I wanted to smirk at the way they both became stiff at my words. "I take it that you heard it on the news?" I said with amusement.
The blue-eyed Summer snorted. "They can't stop talking about it. The video recordings of you flying around killing monsters or simply enjoying a meal at a high-class restaurant are all over the Net, and while a lot of people are either being pissed that their "Tatsu-chan" is no longer single, a lot more are losing their minds either because they fully support you both, or because the thought of the two of you together and having children is terrifying to a lot of people. Something about super-powered babies throwing tantrums powerful enough to wipe out all life on the planet." she said with dry amusement.
I snorted. "Well, they can rest at ease, neither of us are interested in having children quite yet."
"Still…" the silver eyed Summer fidgeted, biting her lips. "I thought, well…"
I raised an eyebrow at her.
She flushed. "I thought you weren't taking anymore lovers?" she questioned, sounding a bit hurt.
I blinked. "I never said that." I pointed out, frowning.
"But you haven't pursued anyone in decades." pointed out the other Summer.
I smirked. "To be fair, Tatsumaki is the one who asked me out."
They froze. ""What."" they said flatly.
My amusement grew. "Oh yes, she quite literally showed up on my doorstep, wearing a long green dress and looking ready for a date, before informing me that she was going out to kill monsters, and she'd like me to go with her."
They stared.
I chuckled. "So I was the one being asked out on a date that day. I have to admit, I liked her boldness. It certainly made it very clear what she wanted. No beating around the bush or anything, just straight up asking me out."
The two Summer twitched.
"She asked you out." said the silver eyed Summer, right eyebrow twitching.
"You liked her boldness." the other Summer said with the same flat tone of voice, her left eyebrow twitching.
"No beating around the bush." The first Summer kept going, her eyebrow twitching harder.
"Just straight up asking you out." the second Summer said, her own eyebrow twitching just as hard.
"Indeed. Anyway, I'm definitely looking forward to what she'll come up with next. She's very honest with herself, you know? Always well-aware of her own wants and desires, and going after them in full. I respect that." I kept going, sadistically twisting the knife.
Considering the way both Summer were now violently twitching, it was definitely working.
Sorry ladies, but I've been waiting for you to finally act on your feelings for decades.
Immortality should not become an excuse to go "Will they/won't they" forever.
I had enough self-respect to not feel bad at all about metaphorically kicking your asses and rubbing your faces in your own failures when you were so determined to not actually be the brave, courageous women I know you can be.
At this point, this was as much about teaching a valuable life lesson as it was about taking some well-deserved shots at you.
"In any case, I really need to go back to work- I do need to handle the media side of things about my new relationship with Tatsumaki, and of the two of us it definitely is a better idea for me to do it."
The two Summer stared at me, then at each other, then the silver-eyed Summer slumped and muttered something about going out to do ultra-violence to any monsters in range.
The other Summer seemed to thoroughly agree with that plan.
Once they had left, I shook my head.
This was yet another moment they could have taken their courage with both hands and do as Tatsumaki did by asking me out.
Instead, they still choose to take the easy way out.
Seriously, at this point, I was genuinely considering leaving them naked, bound and gagged in my bedroom while I had sex with all of my lovers right there on the bed- Tatsumaki included in the orgy.
If that didn't work, I really couldn't do more for them.
Hopefully, it wouldn't come to that.
-
"You know, I'm still trying to believe it."
I raised an eyebrow, even as I took a sip of my tea.
"Let me guess. Me and Tatsumaki?" I said knowingly.
Fubuki nodded, looking faintly bewildered, if pleased.
"I saw her grow up, I saw her ignore romance completely and utterly. I almost wondered if my sister had been switched with an imposter for a second when she revealed her feelings. Absurd, of course, but it was so shocking…"
I chuckled, then nodded. "I take it that she had few people who ever asked her out?"
She snorted. Loudly. "Try 'none.' She was far too terrifying for that. Both her powers and her personality pushed everyone away."
I sighed. "Yeah, that's what I had expected."
Then I hummed in thought. "Still, our relationship is actually entirely understandable when you stop to think about it."
Fubuki raised a curious eyebrow. "Oh?"
"Your sister does not give her respect lightly, and she would never accept feeling anything like romantic love for someone she didn't respect." I pointed out.
Fubuki paused, then nodded. "An accurate description of her so far."
"And the only person she ever truly respected before was Blast… And she never saw him that way."
Again, Fubuki nodded. "Indeed not. I can't fully say what she feels for him, but romantic love was never it."
"And then, she met me." I finished. "Someone powerful enough to earn her respect, and someone who's views, if not perfectly matching her own, could still overlap enough for both of us to be comfortable in each other's presence."
Fubuki pursed her lips. "In other words, you were the only choice for her?"
I snorted. "I think we both know that was never a factor. Tatsumaki would rather remain alone than accept things simply because it's the expected outcome."
Fubuki smiled wryly. "A fair point. If she didn't love you, no amount of logical reasoning would ever change her mind."
"Quite. All things considered, the only thing all of those factors brought was the possibility of this outcome coming to pass, not its certainty. What tipped the scales, in the end, was simply that we both decided to see if it could work."
I took a sip of my tea. "And now, only time will tell the rest."
Fubuki sent me a look. "Only time, mmh?" she questioned doubtfully.
"Well, and my True Self. But *I* don't know the outcome either, if that's what you are implying. These sorts of things should develop naturally, no matter the ending. To do otherwise would taint the outcome irrevocably." I said firmly.
Fubuki gave me a long look.
Then she smiled.
"Well, for what it's worth, I hope that it all works out between the two of you."
"And you're not saying that just because watching Tatsumaki act like a woman in love is the most fascinating spectacle that you ever got from your sister?" I said dryly.
She smirked. "No comments."
"Of course." I said, shaking my head with a smile.
-
I tilted my head to the right, letting a spear of telekinetic force pass me by, going far off into the distance, into the darkness of the void between stars.
A thought, and a hundred miniature suns bursted into existence around Tatsumaki.
The woman, grinning madly, green eyes wild with battlelust (and no small amount of regular lust), clapped her hands together, a field of Entropy reducing the power of those exploding suns to nothing near instantly.
My ensuing spear of weaponized Space-Time promptly pierced its way through that field, losing power along the way, but still strong enough for Tatsumaki to wave her right hand, a multi-dimensional shield deflecting the attack.
Her counter-attack was to create a hundred exploding Entropy bombs around me, each of them strong enough to eventually be able to consume a solar system.
I smiled, countering that build-up of Entropy with a flex of my power, forcing the entropy to fizzle out into nothing.
Then I pointed at her, a hundred Gamma Rays Bursts exploding out of a hundred portals leading across the universe, the concentrated power of those explosions focused on Tatsumaki's position.
Her eyes widened, and with a scowl she teleported out of the way, forced to move out before a wave of power still far beyond her.
Her attempt at making me pay for that was her slashing her right hand down towards me, hundreds of cuts into the local Space-Time continuum suddenly headed my way.
I chuckled, before clapping once, the holes in the fabric of Space-Time fixing themselves instantly.
A spear of metals taken from a wandering asteroid was promptly launched at me at beyond light speed, space-time now bending around the superluminal strike aimed straight at-
I casually batted away the strike, sending it flying off into the distance, while giving Tatsumaki a dry look.
"Really?" I deadpanned.
She smirked, green eyes dancing in amusement at the fact her latest attack was aimed straight at my balls.
"You understand that this means war, right?" I declared, my eyes shining with mischievous intent.
Tatsumaki raised an eyebrow, a wide grin on her lips. "And what are you gonna do about it?"
My eyes narrowed.
That sounded like a challenge.
I teleported in front of her, her eyes widening as I brought down a sword of impossibly sharp and strong materials I created instantly.
Tatsumaki extended her right hand, a sword of green energy- concentrated Entropy- appearing, and then swung to meet my sword-
And then, an infinitely small fraction of a second before our swords hit, I completely ceased to exist.
She blinked in shock, hand freezing in place-
*SMACK!*
"Aaaah!"
And then she gasped, eyes bulging out in utter shock, mouth gaping wide at what just happened.
Behind her, the real me, rather than the illusion I created, grinned widely as my right hand rested on the rapidly reddening left asscheek of Tatsumaki.
"Does that answer your question?" I purred into her ear.
Tatsumaki flushed an angry, furious red-
"Amazing ass, by the way." I said mildly, caressing the soft, warm skin against my hand.
Tatsumaki froze, radiating Embarrassment/Pride/Outrage/Lust.
"And now for something completely different for ending this spar!" I cheerfully cried out, taking her by the shoulders, twisting her to face me, her eyes once again widening in shock-
And then outright bulging when I slammed her against my chest in a bear hug.
"Geronimoooooooo!" I screamed, grinning widely as we fell down a portal as fast as light speed, Tatsumaki frozen stiff in my arms more out of shock than anything else-
And then I shifted her again, and promptly supplexed her face-first hard enough against a planet to have that planet explode on impact.
My only thought at that point was that I was definitely doing something right in my life if I could supplex a beautiful woman face first into a planet hard enough to make it explode and have that be considering the perfect ending to one of our dates.
-
I grinned with amusement as Tatsumaki drank her tea, glaring at me with a bright blush on her face as she gingerly sat down on a chair and occasionally wriggled in discomfort over the red hand-shaped handprint on her ass.
"You started it." I shamelessly pointed out with a grin.
Her adorable glare and blush combo promptly jumped in intensity by a factor of 1000, and if I was anyone else I'd get mortally terrified of being exploded with a thought.
As I was myself, I merely grinned wider. "Anyone ever told you that you're beautiful when you're angry?" I genuinely asked.
That somehow made her blush harder, even as her glare decidedly lost quite a bit of its heat in favor of embarrassment instead.
"Almost as beautiful as when we fight and you are having fun. You really need to smile more, you know, you look stunning when you do." I said earnestly.
Tatsumaki, in a utterly adorable move, promptly tried to simultaneously drink her tea and use that move to hide her face behind her cup.
"Then again, it's probably better that you don't." I mused.
I waited just long enough for her to start frowning at me, before delivering the killing blow.
"You would charm half the planet into swearing themselves to you as their new goddess if you did."
Ah, there it was.
The full body blush, going all the way down her neck to the tip of her ears.
Perfection.
Poor Tatsumaki, her (Empathy) just let her know that I meant every word I said.
Without it, she might have been able to blow my words off, but with it?
She could feel the earnest belief in my words, and that struck at her heart and smashed her defenses into a thousand pieces with ease.
Turns out, the ever-proud Tatsumaki couldn't handle earnestness.
And I was a God of Truth that was courting her.
She never stood a chance.
The fact that Tatsumaki was left incredibly horny after each one of our spar, because that girl found a good fight against someone she respected to be pure aphrodisiac for her, left me almost feeling bad for her.
It was so very simple for me to drive her emotions and libido up the wall while barely even trying.
Of course, everything was fair in love and war, so I still did it anyway.
That, and I was a massive troll.
That too.
-
"So, you're the one dad's been dating, huh?"
Tatsumaki took in the blonde-haired woman, her blue eyes looking at her with curiosity, though slight changes in the light almost made it like there were freckles of bright, bloody red in her pupils.
"You are Sherry, then?" Tatsumaki asked, though she already knew the answer. Both because Aeon had talked at length in the past of his adopted daughter, because she'd seen pictures of her…
And because, being in the Hunter's Dream, there really wasn't that many people running around the place.
That, and only one person would call the Good Hunter "Dad."
"That's me." The young-seeming woman smiled, though Tatsumaki couldn't shake off the feeling that, much like Tatsumaki was subtly probing her through her psychic senses, the woman before her was doing the same in return with her own powers.
And there was one thing that was immediately apparent to Tatsumaki's senses: the young-seeming woman was powerful.
She couldn't quite tell how powerful, but definitely stronger than most of the S-Class.
Tatsumaki couldn't help but smile at that. Aeon had told her that he took his daughter's training very seriously, but it was one thing to hear it, another to see it.
A part of her mind added "Good father to his children." to Aeon's list of qualities.
Because training one's child to this level of power, and doing it in a way that they felt no resentment over the harsh training? That took some serious skill.
"I'm happy to finally meet you." said Tatsumaki with a smile, meaning every word.
Sherry grinned. "Same back to you. It's been a while since Dad took in a new lover, and seeing him get all excited when he spoke of you was all kinds of cute."
Tatsumaki blushed slightly, but her eyes gleamed at those words. "He speaks of me often, then?"
Sherry hummed in amusement. "Of course. He's been holding back on introducing you to the others to give time for your relationship to mature and evolve first, but I don't think it will take much longer before he does introduce you. The very fact that we are speaking right now means he wanted that meeting to happen, or neither of us would have seen each other despite us both being in the Hunter's Dream."
Tatsumaki smiled, and from there the conversation evolved towards Sherry's past, along with her own.
There was a long moment of deep sympathetic understanding when the matters of monstrous parents came up, to say nothing of mad science and experiments in general.
Aeon had been the savior to Sherry that Blast had been for her, though in this case Aeon had outright adopted her after saving her.
Tatsumaki felt a pang of envy at that, she would have liked to have been adopted by Blast after he saved her, but she pushed it away.
If anything, this was yet more points in her lover's favor as far as she was concerned.
The stories that Sherry could share of Aeon as the leader of an army were interesting, but Tatsumaki could freely admit to being more interested in what the other Hunters of the Dream were capable of.
Or, for that matter, what Sherry herself was capable of.
Tatsumaki paused when her words made Sherry grin, a very familiar glint appearing in her eyes that reminded Tatsumaki immensely of Aeon.
"Care for a spar, Tatsumaki?" Sherry asked, that familiar glint only growing when Tatsumaki smirked and agreed.
-
Tatsumaki discovered a number of things about Sherry throughout the ensuing spar.
For one? She had magic, which allowed her to bend reality like her parents and Tatsumaki could do (if with Psychic powers in her case).
Secondly, was the magic sword she had.
And more importantly, the sheer shocking skill and power she had while wielding it.
Tatsumaki couldn't help but throw a somewhat wide-eyed look at the psychic shield protecting her, currently cracked and breaking.
That shield handled a hundred exploding suns from Aeon. Sure, they were miniature suns, but still!
A single cut from Sherry was breaking it!
Atomic Samurai wished he could have Sherry's skill with the sword!
Aeon had never used a sword against her, mentioning that he needed the practice and experience of fighting without it more, but if what Sherry was showing her was anything like what he was capable of, then he was deliberately holding back on her!
Tatsumaki lost counts of the numbers of her psychic attacks that had been stopped cold, psychic powers and even the velocity of her attacks literally cut away by Sherry.
Tatsumaki had no idea how she could do that, but she obviously learnt how to cut things like psychic powers, or velocity, or speed, or even telekinetic force, or…
Anything, really. It felt like, if Sherry could think of cutting something, she could- it didn't matter what it was.
She had seen the girl teleport by cutting distances, erase psychic attacks by cutting them out of existence, erase physical objects by doing the same, and much, much more!
Tatsumaki couldn't help but be impressed, but right now, it certainly made the fight a great deal harder.
Still, it wasn't like Tatsumaki wasn't pressing Sherry just as hard. Gravity reinforced a hundred, if not a thousand times over did its best to crush her, hundreds of rocks, outright small hills of dirt and more were flung at her at supersonic speed, and dozens of her Entropy bolts flew through the air, all of them pursuing Sherry no matter how hard she tried to dodge them.
The real problem-
*SLASH!*
Tatsumaki jerked to the right, her shield cracking at the sword slash broke through at several spots.
-was that any attacks that Sherry sent at her were capable of breaking at least somewhat through her best defenses.
Which was quite the shock, but she was Aeon's daughter, adopted or not, so it wasn't that surprising in hindsight.
Either way, Tatsumaki was getting tired of feeling, and seeing, her shield break again and again.
Time to end this.
She teleported, standing right behind Sherry.
The woman reacted as insanely quickly as ever, beginning to turn before Tatsumaki had even fully materialized.
It didn't matter, though- it was already too late.
With a look of actual deep concentration, Tatsumaki focused on her power-
And RELEASED.
The local reality promptly shattered and ceased to exist, as the power of Entropy consumed everything around her, down to the very concepts of Space and Time.
Tatsumaki let out a satisfied sigh. That ought to have-
To have-
She stared.
A glowing, vaguely humanoid figure stared at her with two bright, red eyes while in the middle of her Entropy field.
Seemingly utterly unbothered by the impossibility of that fact, that figure's eyes narrowed towards her-
And then ReAlItY WeNt WrOnG.
The glow of that figure seemingly grew a thousand times over, and things went so unnaturally weird that Tatsumaki felt a sudden splitting headache while her eyes seemed to bleed. She cried out, and then blacked out instantly.
-
Tatsumaki let out a groan, wondering if Aeon had supplexed her through a planet again.
"Time to wake up, sleepyhead."
Tatsumaki blinked, then squinted at the smiling form of Aeon.
"Did you supplex me through a planet again?" she questioned suspiciously.
"He what."
She blinked, glancing to the side towards-
Wait.
"You!" she pointed out, quickly standing up.
"Ah, yes. Sorry about that." Sherry said sheepishly.
Tatsumaki blinked. "What was that, anyway?!"
It was Aeon who answered, a wry grin on his face.
"You went ahead and flooded the local area with your power, in such a way as to make it antithetical to normal reality. Sherry's own power reacted, and she released her Aura in full as a result, and well, the full power of a daughter to two Eldritch Gods, even if she herself remains fundamentally human, is nothing to scoff at. Also, it's sufficiently weird enough that you mentally weren't ready to handle it. In short, you saw something that regular humans aren't meant to see, weren't ready for it, and your brain forced you to pass out for your own good."
"Again, I'm terribly sorry about that." Sherry said apologetically.
Tatsumaki stayed silent for a moment, before glancing at Aeon. "You seem to imply I could have handled it?" she questioned.
Aeon nodded. "Probably. You've got a strong will, if it hadn't been in a middle of a fight, if you hadn't just released so much of your power, power that began clashing with hers, and if you had remained focused on fighting instead of trying to understand what you were looking at, you should have been fine. You might still have gotten a headache, but no more."
Tatsumaki nodded at him, then finally got up from the ground and stared at Sherry.
"I want a rematch."
Sherry opened her mouth-
And then slowly closed it, giving her a long look.
Slowly, she smiled.
"Not put off at all but what you saw, are you?" she asked, though it was obvious she knew the answer.
"No. I just want to finish our fight… and prove that what happened was a fluke." Tatsumaki firmly replied.
Sherry grinned.
"Alright. But don't be surprised if you lose." she teased.
Tatsumaki smirked back, green eyes flashing. "Funny, I was thinking the exact same thing towards you."
Aeon took a look at the sight of the two grinning women, snorted, and shook his head.
"Well, have fun then. I'll keep watching- if nothing else, it'll be one hell of a fight."
Sherry's smile widened, a glint in her eyes.
"Don't worry dad, I'll make sure to win quickly."
Tatsumaki's eyes shone. "I promise to give you your daughter back in one piece… probably."
Aeon rolled his eyes at them, a slight smirk on his lips.
-
"So, the Summer Twins still haven't made a move?" said Sherry, radiating disapproval and disappointment.
"They have not." Agreed my wife, frowning slightly. "We had hoped that seeing Aeon with Tatsumaki would have forced them to face their desires, but obviously, that didn't work out as we had hoped."
Sherry sighed, shaking her head. "Seriously, those two… If it wasn't for the fact that they definitely need to be making the first move for their own good, I'd tell you to throw them both over your shoulders, bring them to your bedroom, and spend a night ravishing them until they can't walk. This is getting ridiculous." grumbled my daughter, aggressively sipping her tea.
"They've been making excuses for themselves for decades now." I pointed out calmly, though with a slight frown of my own. "It's not that surprising that they would react like this."
"Even so, something must be done." Sherry said firmly.
"And what do you propose?" I raised an eyebrow at her, genuinely curious.
She grunted. "Whatever works. Hell, invite them to the beach, or a swimming pool, or something. Something that'll get them fired up enough after seeing you wearing almost nothing to finally do something."
"You're breaking the cup, dear." warned Oedon, and Sherry blinked, then blushed as she noticed her tightening grip and fixed the slowly breaking cup with a flex of magic.
"Sorry. It's just… really frustrating." she sighed. "It was mildly funny at first, but it stopped being so decades ago now."
Oedon hummed, then glanced at me.
"Perhaps we can eventually hit two… or rather, three birds with the same stone?"
"What do you have in mind?" I asked.
Oedon shrugged. "Have sex with Tatsumaki, and make sure that the Summer twins know of it and what they are missing out on."
Sherry snorted.
I considered the plan, before slowly nodding. "They did take the fact that I took Tatsumaki as my newest lover hard. If I keep pressing the point, it might push them to do something drastic- which is a good thing, in this case. They'll need that to finally act, I feel."
I'd feel a bit bad about using my first time with Tatsumaki like this, but Harem management was a battlefield of its own, one where only victory mattered.
Also, I was still a Hunter. Ruthlessly making use of my opponent's weaknesses just fundamentally appealed to me.
And besides, that just meant that I'll have to utterly blow Tatsumaki's mind all the harder.
That was hardly something that she was going to complain about.
Quite the opposite, really.
"What do you think of Tatsumaki, dear?" asked Oedon towards Sherry.
Sherry paused, then hummed in thought.
"She's rather different from your other lovers, dad. She's got a staggering amount of pride, for one. Though I can see what attracted you to her. Beyond her pride, she's a dedicated woman who has no problem working herself to the bone for her career as a hero, and she compensates her ego with a genuinely stunning amount of power, and the will to see her potential released in full."
Sherry smiled. "She's also not as cold as she likes to pretend. When we discussed my past, I could feel her emotions. I have no doubt that if she had been on my Earth, she would have fought against the likes of Umbrella with everything she had."
Then she sighed. "The problem is that she has some rather unrealistic standards she measures people against. A problem made worse because she tries to genuinely live up to her own standards, and doesn't understand, nor seek to understand why others can't or won't even try to reach those unreasonable standards."
Sherry looked at me in the eyes. "She sees humanity through the lenses of someone believing everyone should be able to defend and protect themselves. She believes in personal strength above all else, and looks down on those unable to have that strength. She doesn't hate civilians, but she just doesn't care as much about them as she should, as someone wanting to be a hero."
She took another sip of her tea, frowning. "And that's worse for lower-classed heroes. If civilians barely register on her radar beyond a general mass of 'people to protect', lower-class heroes are like third or second-class citizens. Slightly more valuable, but only slightly. And worse, she has expectations for them- ones that, as I mentioned, are simply unrealistic."
I sighed. "I know. I've tried to do what I could to help her with that, but it's not easy nor quick work to change someone's beliefs, especially when they are as entrenched as they are."
Shery smiled encouragingly at me. "Keep at it, please? She genuinely has the making of an incredible protector of Humanity, she just needs to learn to be more human, show more empathy towards others."
I smiled back. "Of course."
"Will you visit the other Earth, Sherry?" wondered Oedon.
Sherry shook her head. "I wish I could, but there's some important work back home I need to oversee. At least for a while, I need to focus on that. With Humanity over there expanding across the stars, it feels like there's always more work to be done."
"As long as it's rewarding work." I commented.
She smiled. "Oh, it is. Still, I wouldn't say no to a break. Just one after I'm done with my current projects."
"We understand." said Oedon, looking quietly proud of our daughter.
"Also, I'm curious." Sherry glanced at me. "Wasn't there something about a local hero that you were specifically eager to meet and challenge?"
"There is." I said with a bright smile. "But it'll be some time yet before I'm planning on going to meet him. He's growing stronger, and at this point he's one of the strongest heroes in the world, even if almost no one knows of him, but he's still not as strong as I want him to be before I go introduce myself."
Sherry looked at me curiously, but nodded. "It's been years since you began waiting for him, though. Please tell me how that goes, it's rare to see you so genuinely eager about something." She frowned. "No, not eager. There's some of that, but also… a certain feeling of anticipation? Uncertainty?"
She glanced at me with a certain amount of surprise, even bewilderment.
She was probably just not used to me actually not being completely confident in something.
To her senses, that measure of uncertainty in me must be all the more noticeable by its complete absence throughout almost all the years we've known each other.
Still…
"I'll keep you up to date on things when the times come." I promised.
She smiled, still faintly hesitant, her eyes glancing at Oedon, though my wife merely smiled calmly at her.
It was fine. My daughter has almost always only seen me as a pillar of strength, perhaps not completely free of doubts, but certainly never uncertain.
Nor did she fully understand what drove me, on this one. The desire to test humanity, to see it prove its worth, and to act on the result… That was a very divine mentality, and thing to do.
And Sherry was not a goddess. She was more than human, but her own desires left her clinging to her humanity. I did not disapprove, but it did have consequences.
Oedon understood better, both because she's been with me the longest, and because she was a goddess in her own right, on top of someone who naturally enjoys seeing people live up to their potential.
Also, because I was a lot more free with some of my greatest causes for concern to Oedon than with Sherry. One was my wife, the other my daughter. There was a general desire to not burden the second with things that I was willing to mention and talk about with the first.
The way I should interact with Humanity and mortal species being one of them.
I might still talk to her about it depending on how things go with Saitama, but at least for now, I'll keep these concerns to myself and Oedon.
For the time being, I just relaxed, smiled, and enjoyed spending time with my daughter.
-
Over the next several weeks and months, Tatsumaki and I went on many dates, most of which inevitably involved killing monsters at some points.
We also kept up our training/sparring sessions, as not only it made Tatsumaki stronger, it also acted as an excellent way to make her happy. Tatsumaki turned out to be something of a battle junkie once presented with someone she could freely go all-out against, and I didn't need (Empathy) to tell me that she was ridiculously turned on by and appreciative of our fights.
The bright blushing faces, green eyes gleaming with excitement, and equally bright grins really didn't lie, after all.
I also continued to train with Fubuki, and even occasionally helped out with training her growing Blizzard Group. It made both sisters happy, and occasionally seeing Fubuki do her best to be a supporting sister to Tatsumaki on the matter of our relationship did bring its fair share of amusing to adorable moments.
Seeing Tatsumaki blanch at the mere thought of going shopping with Fubuki was hilarious, and seeing her blush brightly everytime Fubuki pulled the "But think of how your boyfriend would love to see you in new clothes!" card to convince her anyway was worth its weight in gold.
As for the Summer twins, the poor women were driven up the wall in sheer sexual frustration. Making sure to take several trips at the beach or at the nearest swimming pool with them had the poor women simultaneously melt in puddles of desire at the sight of me in swimwear, and seethe in envy whenever they saw Tatsumaki staying by my side.
Also, swimsuit Tatsumaki, with her full adult body, was utterly glorious.
A fact I was not shy about letting her know.
-
"Tatsumaki. You look utterly breathtaking like this." I said with a smile, my eyes roaming over her body with obvious appreciation, my eyes lingering on her hips, flat belly and large breasts.
"Hmmph. Of course." she said with a huff, though her cheeks were a pleasant red all the same, and her lips curved up into a pleased smirk. Her green eyes then looked all over me, returning the favor, though they lingered on my abs and my muscled arms.
My smirk widened as I caught her staring, which made her stiffen and look away with a flush.
"You're not bad yourself." she admitted, which was a tsundere speech for 'You're hot, and I'm going to enjoy staring at you today while you do the same for me.'
Naturally, I immediately stepped forward, took her in my arms, and put my chin on top of her head while effectively hugging her from behind.
She froze, and I grinned. "Thank you. Though I'm sure you'll enjoy the view all the more once I'm in the water."
I could feel her sudden spike of emotions at those words, and could almost feel the sudden bright blush on her face.
Ah, Tatsumaki, you really were too easy to tease for your own good. A lifetime of being too intimidating for anyone to dare try really left your defenses weak, my dear!
"We should get going." She muttered, though her attempts to get out of my hug were best described as "weak".
"Hmm… In a minute. I'm just fine like this." I shamelessly replied, which made her pause.
"Are you really going to keep hugging me like this?" she questioned, putting emphasis on the word hugging, her voice turning odd at the word.
Or rather, the exact kind of voice that someone enjoying something but refusing to acknowledge it would use.
The fact that she still hasn't actually tried to leave the hug said it all. Poor girl was touch-starved, and rather badly at that.
Also, the way she had begun to lean back against me while radiating satisfaction really didn't help. I was pretty sure she hadn't even noticed how happy she was in her current position.
"What can I say, I love having you in my arms." I replied earnestly.
Being cheeky could work with others of my lovers, but not as well on her. No, earnestness was best for Tatsumaki.
And as expected, I could feel her tense in my arms, her face ducking to the side as if to try and hide a monstrous blush.
"I suppose I can let you be for a little while." she muttered with pleased embarrassment.
I hummed, then gave her a gentle kiss on the top of her head. "Thank you."
She squirmed slightly, but then settled down, both of us radiating peace and satisfaction as we watched the beach…
Along with just a hint of lust on top of that.
-
Beyond that, I kept training the other heroes, occasionally went to kill monsters as needed, and generally let time pass.
Bang let me know of anything he heard about Garou's movements, and I returned the favor, though for the moment that particular issue remained fully passive.
The S-class began to be fully filled with every hero canonically present at the start of the story as we slowly but surely came closer to its beginning, and by now Saitama had indeed gone fully bald.
I looked forward to the day I could finally challenge him. I intended to do it not long before he would meet Genos, since by then he would have the level of power to hopefully give me the fight I wanted.
For now though, I focused more on my growing romance with Tatsumaki, pushing the Summer Twins to the brink of their self-control, and in general having a good time on this version of Earth.
Oedon was enjoying being able to go around and heal people, while spending a lot of time in hospital for children and using money and influence to build as many buildings for children as she could.
As for Lucy, her and Agoni both kept an eye on the Hero Association. Thanks to Lucy, many of the more… questionable actions of the Association were either prevented altogether, or shut down hard, along with whoever was involved in them making a one-way trip to prison.
Lucy was actually enjoying herself quite a bit, because she could actually throw her weight around and ensure any corrupt assholes in positions of power would end up facing justice.
Either by the police, or by a group of Heroes showing up to break the doors in and send them flying into the nearest holding cell.
It was one of the ways we thought up to boost the popularity of lower-class heroes, while also fighting back against the more mundane evil of corruption.
Everyone enjoyed corrupt CEOs and politicians getting what they deserved, and since they weren't (usually) monsters in disguise, regular lower-class heroes were more than enough to act as the muscle needed to force them to go quietly.
The population was happy to see corrupt people in power dealt with, the heroes were proud of being recognized for their work and the police appreciated the back-up whenever it proved useful.
This being anime-land after all, it wasn't that surprising to see security forces involving armed robots or the likes.
Not to say we neglected to bolster the police's strength, as well. Lasguns alone were enough when concentrated on a target to take down the weaker monsters, and special forces were armed with heavier weapons, like plasma guns.
It still didn't solve the problems of the greatest monsters, but it did leave the regular protectors of humanity with a genuine shot at taking care of some monsters by themselves.
Some of the people in charge of the Association had complained about that, but Lucy had slapped those idiots down hard.
With the growing numbers of monsters, the Association's heroes couldn't be everywhere. Having what amounted to Auxiliaries forces was a good thing, not a bad one.
Along with all of that, was the growing power of the Church of Starry Wisdom. Dedicated to me, Oedon and Lucy, and with all three of us effectively the ones in charge of it, it focused on a number of things.
Those who followed me were focused on supporting Law and Order, whether in the police forces, the army, or in quite a few cases, the heroes.
At the head of the group within the Association were the Summer Twins, considered as the models to strive to reach by dint of the fact that they were both S-Class and Hunters of the Dream to boot.
Beyond that, they were spread out from C to A-Class, and tended to be the most dedicated of all the heroes of the Association.
They ranged from people who had lost loved ones to monsters, to simple people with a strong sense of justice, to people who simply were tired of living in fear of monsters and wanted to be able to fight back.
Quite a few of them had Hero Names referencing being Hunters as a gesture of respect towards me, though their weapons and fighting styles were all over the place and depended firmly on the individual, something that I encouraged.
They weren't to be soldiers, they were to be heroes. Let them be free to express themselves for the whole world to see.
As for Oedon's followers, they tended to be the healers of the Association, though in a few notable cases, they also were heroes focused on killing monsters just as much.
Every religion tended to have a militant arm, and Oedon's followers were no different.
They did tend to favor the spear as their weapon, however, and all of them gained Blood Magic as their divinely granted power.
Beyond the Association, they were focused on being doctors and caretakers of nurseries, along with anything to do with children and their protection.
Some fringe groups also focused on life in general, whether it be taking care of pets and animals in zoo, or plant life, making sure that any district destroyed by monsters attack would be rebuilt with plant life aplenty in the area.
And finally, Lucy's worshippers tended to be scientists and the likes, but also businessmen and economics, taking after the fact that Lucy was a CEO in her own right.
There was some overlap when it came to our worshippers, especially when it came to scientists. People in astrophysics tended to follow me and Lucy, while those working on biology tended to mix Oedon and Lucy instead.
Of course, those weren't the only ones praying to us by a long shot, just the most notable demographics within all of our worshippers. There were also countless regular people of all walks in life who were officially part of our collective religion.
Being both able to see actual gods on TV, hear of them going around working to make a better world, listening to the stories of those worshiping us trying to do the same, and watching priests and the likes heal wounds or- in one memorable occasion- crush the skull of a monster bigger than a house with a glowing mace while shouting praises in my name and insults towards the monster threatening his church and the people hidden within did make for quite the impression, after all.
Not everyone worshiped us by any means, but as time went by, the influence of our religion grew into being part of the accepted culture of this world, and Humanity saw us as an unbreakable bastion of light in a world full of monsters, and the more the numbers of our worshippers grew.
As the "head" of our little divine trio, I actually ended up with the majority of prayers, though not by much. Both Lucy and Oedon did work hard in their own right after all, and people could both see and respect that.
Also, once again, having priests being able to heal wounds and kill monsters really did a lot to convince people that this whole "religion" thing might be a good idea.
Honestly, creating a religion wasn't that hard when you had actual power. All you had to do was prove that you had the ability to meaningfully impact people's life for the better, and people will come and gather on their own to learn more.
And in a death world full of monsters like this one, having the knowledge that gods watched over you in life or death, really did count for a lot.
Of course, there were still the people who simply would never be interested in religion in a modern society, but even those couldn't well argue that supernatural healers were a bad thing.
… Mostly. There always would be greedy bastards seeking to profit from people's suffering, people who simply distrusted gods or anything to do with them by default, and more.
Humanity will do as Humanity always will, and argue about everything, no matter the amount of empirical evidences proving that something is a good idea.
Ah well. You can't convince everyone of something, that's the strength and weakness of Free Will at work.
In the meantime, I was currently walking towards my house in the Hunter's Dream with Tatsumaki at my side.
Tonight was going to be a great dinner, but if things worked out well, I was especially looking forward to my dessert.
Tatsumaki did look entirely too ravishing tonight to not finally act on my desire to tear her dress off her and make her scream my name, after all…
Hm, sex with an effectively god-like Psychic. That ought to be a memorable night indeed!

A.N: Alright! Here is the next chapter in which we continue the One Punch Man Arc!
A very Tatsumaki-heavy chapter, but I wanted to progress the romances with her, then get on with the Summer Twins, so that I can hit canon events in the next few chapters.
Also, Drunk!Tatsumaki was both hilarious and adorable to write, though to be fair Aeon is pretty much perfectly able to counter Tsundere in general by dint of feeling their emotions and knowing how to best fluster them.
Also, more Sherry! And Tatsumaki got her first true Eldritch experience. On the bright side, she just gained a new appreciation for why Aeon and co. don't go full deities around Humanity. Yay?
And yes, I just ended things before we got to Aeon and Tatsumaki going at it like crazy. I'm cruel like that.
Still, with all that being said, I hope you all enjoyed this update! Next time, we continue OPM, and we'll find out if Aeon's bedroom survives its greatest challenge yet! A god-like psychic who very, very badly needs to get laid, finally getting the god-like sex she deserves!
