please don't get me wrong
Kagome took over Kaede's house and buried her alone; she did send word of her death.
It was months later when Sesshomaure showed up again, and this time he came with Rin. The girl was very happy to see Kagome, and she came giving flowers.
"Rin!"
"Lady Kagome, Rin is happy to see you!"
Kagome gave the 12-year-old a hug. "I was wondering when I would see you again, how are you?"
"Rin is good," Rin looked around. "Where is everyone?"
Kagome gave her a soft smile. "They are around; Sango and Kikyo had babies, you know,"
Kagome eyed Sesshomaru; he stood watching them.
"When are you gonna have a baby!" Rin asked,
Kagome blushed. "Um, I'm not sure Rin, I have to be married first,"
"Lord Sesshomaru says that won't happen for a while, but Rin wants to be a big sister!"
Kagome gave Sesshomaru a flat look. "Did he now? Well, maybe you should ask him when he plans on having pups of his own,"
Sesshomaru did not budge or show any emotions, but Rin giggled. "Lord Sesshomaru is like Lady Kagome, maybe you two should get married," Rin giggled, and Kagome was shocked.
"Demons do not marry; they mate," He corrected. "Something the Miko knows nothing about,"
"I don't think it really matters Lord Sesshomaru, what woman would mate with you, you would be so lucky to even get married!" Kagome snapped, knowing very well the difference.
"Come Rin," Sesshomaru turned from her,
"But we just got here, can't I stay?"
"If it is what you wish, Rin,"
Rin looked at Kagome. "Can I stay awhile?"
Kagome looked from Rin to Sesshomaru, was he really leaving, she wondered for a moment if she hurt his feelings.
"Um, I don't mind,"
Sesshomaru nodded and began to walk away, leaving Kagome confused. She waited a moment before making up her mind and running after him. "Sesshomaru, wait,"
He did not stall; he kept walking. "I'm sorry; I didn't mean to be rude; you can stay if you want," She said slowly,
Sesshomaru stopped but did not look back at her. "Do not misunderstand me, Miko; I am not leaving my ward with you." Then he vanished.
He didn't go far, she knew. Kagome walked back to Rin, "Don't worry Lady Kagome, Lord Sesshomaru won't be far off!"
Kagome smiled at the girl child; she was growing up, her hair was getting longer, and she long did away with the sideway ponytail. "I'm sorry, Rin, I didn't mean to say that in front of him," Kagome knew the little girl loved the demon lord.
Rin laughed. "It's ok, Lady Kagome; it just goes to show that he does have feelings!" She said brightly, then she ran off into Kagome's home. Kagome looked off to the forest. "Yeah, you're right," He didn't admit it, but he did have feelings; now Kagome knew how to read him; maybe Rin staying for a bit without him would be a learning thing for her; after all, who better to teach her about Sesshomaru than his own human daughter.
Sesshomaru kept his distance, but he was close enough to feel them. Once again the dumb girl took his words all wrong, but then again, almost everyone did, not his fault if people were of lower intelligence, not his fault she took it the wrong way, and last but not least he did not care.
