Chapter 2: Saving My Land! Saving My Love!
Up high in the beautiful blue sky was the sound of a large engine of a plane roaring. The plane was huge, bright colored in red with some white stripes on the side of it. The Tornado is what the plane is called. Piloting the red plane was Tails being the owner of the plane that was given to Sonic since he prefers to run on his feet to travel. Sitting on the passenger seat was Honey the Cat, who was enjoying the view of the world from the sky and stuck out her hand to feel the wind.
Standing on the wings of the Tornado were Sonic and Knuckles, both able to stand on the wings of the Tornado without falling off. They weren't the only two standing on the wings of the plane, joining them was Sonic's twin sister, Selena the Hedgehog who was enjoying the breeze of the wind much like Honey as her spiky blue hair waved around.
The group is taking the Tornado as their way of transportation. They recently agree to help Selena to fight against the three ancient evils that she accidentally unleashed from their imprisonment after a man named Muttonhead who's real name was Kazyr tricked her into doing so. With Selena's guidance, she was leading the gang back to the ancient ruins where she unleashed them. They were hoping to see if there was some sort of way or hint to bring down these ancient evils and save their world before it's too late.
The gang were taking in the moment, since it seems that this great evil and Kazyr haven't caused any trouble at the moment, taking the opportunity to prepare themselves for what is to come. Tails was happy that he was giving a ride to everyone on the Tornado for it seems like a while they went on a trip on it. He was always happy to give his friends a ride whenever the opportunity came.
Honey was just not only enjoying the view from the passenger seat, she was also listening to music on some noise canceling headphones since the Tornado was going too fast to put any loud music on, making her ride more enjoyable listening to music and admiring the view.
Sonic and Selena were both enjoying the ride feeling the breeze together. Even though Sonic was annoyed that his twin sister was tricked into unleashing some great evil from the world. A bit of him was excited because this was his first adventure with her where they teamed up.
While the two twin siblings were enjoying their moment together. Knuckles at times couldn't help but stare at Selena's beauty for she was prettier than the last he saw her. Knuckles smirked, seeing this might be his chance to win Selena's heart since Shadow, who's also after Selena's heart, wasn't present with them. Even if he doesn't win Selena's heart (Which he won't nor will Shadow for that matter.) at least he gets to brag to Shadow that he spent time with her.
Knuckles would sometimes almost slip off of the wings of the plane as he kept looking at Selena and trying to make it look cool like he did it on purpose to trick Selena into worrying about him. This made Sonic, Tails, and Honey roll their eyes seeing Knuckles try to woo the blue female hedgehog and fail.
Flying to their destination took quite a while but they eventually got there as they flew over cities, forest, and mountains on the way. Selena carefully looked down at the ancient ruins she was at before.
"Right there Tails! That's the place!" Selena yelled so Tails could hear her voice through the loud noises of the plane engine.
Tails nodded and gave a thumbs up at the female hedgehog. "Got it! Hold on everyone, I'm gonna find a landing spot somewhere!" The young fox shouted.
The fox flew around the area for a bit looking for a spot that he could land the Tornado on. He found one after minutes of flying around. Sonic, Knuckles, and Selena held tight to the wings of the Tornado as Tails landed the plane in a big open spot that was suitable for the plane.
Tails landed the plane and it stopped moving. He kept his eyes on the propeller that was still spinning rapidly until it finally came to a stop. When it did, Sonic, Knuckles and Selena jumped off the wings of the plane and landed on the grass floor. Tails took off his seat belt and so did Honey after taking off her headphones from her ears as the two jumped off their seats.
Once everyone set foot on the ground, they stretched their bodies for it was quite a flight. They turned to Selena who was walking ahead of them and looked back at them with a smile.
"Come on! The ruins are this way!" She said to them as she waved her hand.
Everyone followed the female hedgehog as they stood beside as they walked through a forest filled with wildlife such as deer, birds, and small rabbits watching them. They reached the area where there were multiple ancient buildings around them. Thankfully Selena remembered the symbol of the door of the ruin she found and entered in the matter of seconds.
Selena opens the door to the ruins, making Sonic and the others enter first. As they enter, the giant spider creatures that Selena mentions in her story were still there, but still dead as she left them.
Sonic looked at the dead spider creature on the ground and knocked its body mockingly. "Wow Selena, you really did a number on them." He said.
"Well I did have my sword. It would have been a shame not to use it." Selena said, looking happily at her sword attached to her hip.
"Kinda wish you left some alive for me to fight." Honey said, kicking one of the dead spider creatures away from her.
"Who knows? There might be more lurking around deep in the ruins." Selena said to the cat.
"Oh." Tails said, getting a bit afraid at the thought of a giant spider creature jumping at him by surprise.
"Don't worry bud, I got your back." Sonic said, wanting his little brother to feel safe.
"You know Selena, next time you're on an adventure looking for some treasure. Don't be afraid to ask me to join. I have experience in treasure hunting." Knuckles said, trying to be smooth.
"I'll try to remember." Selena said, unamused as she rolled her eyes.
After looking around the ruins, Selena took them to the room where the chest that the ancient evils were trapped in. They enter the room to see the chest on the floor with the lid open up.
Sonic quickly dashed over to the chest to pick it up and examine it. "So this chest was keeping these guys locked away from the world." He said, shaking the empty treasure chest playfully.
"Can such a thing even hold something so powerful for so long?" Honey said, looking at the chest.
Selena then saw something as she looked around the area more carefully. Further in the room, there was a dark shadow. She discovered what seems to be a stone wall with some pictures and words on it. The words are like the ones from the lock that frombre treasure and much like it she couldn't understand a word from it. The only things she could understand were some pictures that depicted a group of warriors and monsters. Parts of the wall were destroyed, making it hard to understand the full story.
Selena looked carefully at the stone wall and saw some more ancient writing that she couldn't read. "I found something!" Selena said to the group.
"What did you find?" Knuckles asked.
"This stone wall is telling a story of some sort." She said, pointing at the wall. "And that's not all, it also has some words written in it. I can't quite understand them."
Tails walked over and began to fly to examine the wall. "Some ancient writing huh? Maybe my Miles Electric can translate it." He said, reaching for his device from his hammer space. "Good thing I brought it this time. Selena, stand back so I fully scan and take pictures of the wall."
Selena nodded and stood back from the wall. Tails held his Miles Electric as it began to scan the stonewall Selena discovered. It took a moment, but the result came out as an error. Tails was taken by surprise seeing the result and started scratching his head on what to do next.
"Any luck?" Knuckles asked.
"Unfortunately, my Miles Electric can't translate. Whatever this language is, it's really ancient." He said, a bit disappointed.
"More ancient than Ric Flair himself." Sonic said, jokingly making Tails laugh to make him feel better.
"Woooo!" Selena yelled as her voice echoed inside the ancient ruins.
"So are we at a dead end?" Honey asked.
Tails rubbed his chin and began to think. "Maybe not, hold on, just give me a second to look something up." He said, as he began using his Miles Electric again.
The gang stood in front of Tails as he began to press buttons rapidly. They saw the fox sweat for he was really focused on his device and didn't want to give up on his friends. All they heard was the sound of the buttons Tails pressed on his device and wiped the sweat from his forehead.
Tails stopped because he remembered something and began to think. He put his Miles Electric down while closing his eyes. Everyone was surprised to see the fox using his own head rather than his device. A huge smile appeared on Tails' face catching everyone by surprise as he jumped a bit off the ground in joy.
"I think I know a person who may help us translate these and they might know about these baddies." Tails said, smiling at friends.
"Awesome! But who is it?" Sonic wondered.
"You'll see." Tails said, smiling at the hedgehog and the rest.
"We'll look at you knowing more people." Knuckles said, playfully patted Tails' back.
"Let's head back to the Tornado. I just hope he answers the call." Said Tails, curious if this pal of his wasn't busy.
Everyone nodded and made their way to the exit of the ancient ruins. They made it back to the Tornado safely and took off as everyone got back to their usual spot as the plane flew into the blue sky.
Spagonia
Spagonia, a very beautiful European-like place in the world of earth. A place where Sonic and his old pal Light Gaia who Sonic called Chip travel together when Eggman unleashed Dark Gaia from his slumber after cracking the earth open. The place was very beautiful with its orange brown rooftop that made it stand out from other countries of the world.
What really stood out was the large clock tower that was in the center of the beautiful city. The place was filled with plenty of restaurants that people usually eat outside sitting under large umbrellas. So they can eat and admire the beauty of the city at the same time. The sound of an accordion could sometimes be heard playing in the streets that some stay and listen to.
Other than the large clock tower, there was another huge building in the city. The building is known as the Spagonia University, a big well known university that many wish to attend. Inside its many classrooms were a large group of college students sitting. They were currently taking notes as they paid attention to the man who was in the front and center of the large classroom.
There stood a elderly man with a fancy brown suit and red bow tie. His body is a bit hunch over for he was quite old. He had one hand behind his hunch back while using the other hand to write something on the chalkboard. Despite his bushy white eyebrows that were hiding his eyes from everyone, the old man was still able to write greatly on the chalkboard as the students around him understood it.
This one was known as Professor Pickles, a well known scholar and has skills in ancient literature. Eggman once kidnapped him to have translated the Gaia manuscripts until Sonic came along and helped him. In return, Professor Pickles wanted to help Sonic and his friends by helping them with the Gaia temples with the Gaia manuscripts to help restore the earth back into one piece.
Professor Pickles was in the middle of one of his class sessions helping his students learn more about the ancient language and history to help better understand the world's history. He was about done as he stopped writing on the chalkboard and turned back to look at his students with both hands on his hunchback.
"I have written the pages you need to read and study for the exam tomorrow. Make sure to study them well, for this exam will play a huge portion of your final grade." The old professor said, politely asking his students to study hard.
All the students nodded as they wrote the pages they needed to study on their notebooks so that they wouldn't forget. They got up from their seats as they got ready to head out to get to their next class or relax in the city of Spagonia while waiting for their next class to start.
Some students stayed for a bit to ask Professor Pickles a few questions about their lesson. It made the old man very happy to see how some of his students were very eager to learn more and was more than happy to stay a couple of minutes to answer a few questions.
When his students finally left the classroom, making him the only person left. He sat comfortably on his seat with his hands pressed together. Professor Pickles, with a cautious look, began turning his head left and right to look around his classroom to see if he was finally alone.
Once he felt the place was empty, a big smile formed on his lips because he got really excited. Professor Pickles, scooted back a bit from his desk and pulled out one of the cabinets from it. He reached down the open cabinet and pulled out a sandwich.
But it wasn't just an ordinary sandwich, no my dear readers reading this Sonic fic on their computers or phones. It is known as a cucumber sandwich, thinly-sliced cucumbers sandwiched between crustless, buttered bread. (Eww.) Professor Pickle's favorite sandwich.
Professor Pickles licked his lips at the sight of his beautiful cucumber sandwich, he himself crafted early in the day. He was smiling not realizing he was drooling over the sight of his handmade sandwich. The old man carefully gripped both sides of the sandwich and gave it one last glance to see its beauty before he took a bite.
"Oh I've been saving you since the start of my class session. How I waited for this time of day. come to me, my pretty." He said, very hungrily.
Not wanting to wait anymore, his stomach was growling. Professor Pickles slowly leaned his face close to his sandwich. Though not visible, his eyes were closed for he wanted to focus on the taste of his cucumber sandwich when he took a bite. He was about ready to use his teeth to take a huge bite and was just barely touching the bread part of the sandwich.
"Professor!"
A voice shouted at Professor Pickles that made him stop taking a bite of his sandwich by surprise. The sandwich almost fell off his hands but he quickly caught it, only to squeeze so hard that the cucumber slices landed where his eyes would be on his face.
Professor Pickles was put in a small daze as he moaned. While in his daze, in comes his assistant, a young man, who's job is helping him with his work earning money and credit. The assistant (Who doesn't have a name because Sonic Team was too lazy to give him one in Sonic Unleashed.) came rushing into the Professor's classroom with an urgent look on his face.
The young assistant looked at his Professor who was still dazed out with the cucumber slices on his eyes. "Oh Professor, did I catch you at a bad time? I didn't know you use cucumber to help with your skin. I thought you only ate them?" He said, looking at the professor.
The professor shifted his head to where he heard the voice. The cucumber slices fell revealing his white bushy eyebrows once more, he shook his head to gain his focus before talking to his assistant who lacks a name due to a game developer's laziness.
"Well I was indeed in the middle of something rather 'important'." Said Professor Pickles, wiping his eyes.
He stood up from his seat and began fixing his brown suit before putting both hands behind his hunchback. "Now then, you called for a reason?" He asked.
"Oh right?" His assistant said, remembering what he wanted to tell his boss. "You're getting a call from your office. I put them on hold for you."
"Is that so? Then let's not keep them waiting. I suppose my cucumber sandwich will have to wait." Professor Pickles said, looking at the cucumber slices on the floor before he and his assistant left the classroom room together.
Meanwhile
The gang were in Tails' workshop agreeing to return from the ancient ruins. They stood around as Tails stood in front of a huge monitor waiting as well as the rest. On the monitor was Tails' logo of his two tails for it was sending out a message. To keep themselves busy, Sonic was running on a treadmill that Tails built so he can run while waiting. Honey was daydreaming about her boyfriend, Mighty the Armadillo and was thinking about their next romantic date together. Selena was cleaning her sword and armor parts of her outfit with some wipes. Knuckles was doing some exercises by doing pushups and sit ups preparing himself for any fights and hoped it would attract Selena's interest. Which it didn't for she was too busy with her things.
"Come on, pick up already!" Tails said, annoyed.
"This guy must really be taking his time." Selena spoke up.
"Maybe he's in the bathroom?" Sonic jokes while still running.
"Are you sure he can help us?" Honey asked, snapping out from her daydream.
"Yeah, he's just a bit of a slow person. You'll see." Tails answered.
After waiting for a couple of more minutes, the monitor in front of Tails started beeping, making his head jolted by surprise. Everyone else stopped what they were doing and gathered around Tails as they looked up at the monitor screen. Tails then looked down and pressed a button to open the call on screen for everyone to see.
"Ahhhh!" Screamed at the same time.
When Tails pressed the button, on the huge screen they were greeted with what seemed to be a close up of a huge old pointy nose of a person.
"What are we looking at!?" Honey yelled, feeling comfortable.
"Tails, what is this?" Selena asked, frightened at the close up of the nose.
"Is this even appropriate?" Knuckles yelled.
"It's like the shape of a pickle!" Sonic said, disgusted.
"Dang it! He has the camera up close to his nose again!" Tails said, annoyed.
On the monitor they heard another voice in the background. "Professor! I think you have the camera too zoomed in!" Said the person.
"Do I? Maybe if I click here it should fix it?" Said the elderly voice.
"Professor, wait! No!"
The gang watched as the monitor screen began to go through multiple different filters as they barely saw two men fighting over the keyboard to get things to look normal. It was nothing but chaotic as they watched the screen go through different types of filters that made them all laugh or be disgusted by it.
After much struggling, the monitor finally became clear for there was no longer any filter messing with the screen. In the center of the screen was Professor Pickles who was sitting calming on his seat with his hands pressed together while his assistant was beside him breathing heavily for he finally got the call set up for him and backed away from.
Professor Pickles looked carefully at his screen and smiled, "Ah, well if it isn't my friends Sonic and Tails." He said, happy to see the hedgehog and fox once again.
"Hey Professor! Good to see ya!" Tails said, waving at him.
Sonic smiled in surprise, "Yo Professor! How ya doing!?" He asked.
"Very well, although I was in the middle of a beautiful cucumber sandwich before you called." He said.
"There he goes with those cucumber sandwiches hahaha!" Sonic chuckled.
Tails chuckled in embarrassment, "Sorry professor, we just really need your help right now." He said, as a sweat drop appeared on the side of his head.
Professor Pickles looked at his monitor again, carefully to see Honey, Knuckles, and Selena with Sonic and Tails. "Oh I see we have some new faces this time around." He said, smiling with interest.
"Oh right, guys let me introduce you all to Professor Pickles. He once helped me and Sonic translate some ancient manuscripts." Tails said, looking at Knuckles, Selena and Honey.
"It's very nice meeting you all." He said, politely.
Tails looked back at the old man, "The three you see here are Knuckles, the echidna with the two huge fists." He said, showing Knuckles to the professor.
"Sup, nice to meet you." Knuckles said.
"Greetings, I have heard of you before Knuckles from Sonic and Tails mentioned you. I must say I'm very interested in your ancestors' history. I do hope I can set foot on your floating island and study more about your tribe and their language." Professor Pickles said, honor to meet Knuckles.
"You're more than welcome, just don't break anything." Knuckles said, giving his blessing.
The Professor then looked at Honey to which Sonic was beside her. "This cat girl here is Honey the Cat, she's a close friend of mine. More like a sister to me." Sonic said, introducing Honey.
"Nice to meet ya!" Honey wave at the professor.
"I believe I've seen you before? Aren't you the one who fought and won in the Fighting Vipers tournament a while back?" Said the Professor.
"Yes, that's me! I'm that fighting cat." Honey said, striking a cute fighting pose.
"Wow Professor didn't think you would know that sorta thing?" Tails said, a bit surprised.
"Well people around the Spagonia University wouldn't stop talking about it, especially during my class sessions haha." He laughed.
Sonic then walked over to Selena, "And lastly this is Selena my….um….actual sister. Well twin sister to be exact." Sonic said as Selena cutely smiled and waved at the old professor.
"Oh ho! I can definitely see the family resemblance between you two." Professor Pickles said. "How come you never mentioned her before?"
Sonic looked away from the screen and scratched his head. "It's kind of a long story." He answered.
"Now that that introduction is over, what can I do for you young ladies and gentlemen?" Asked the Professor.
"Ah yes, we need your help to translate some ancient words that even my Miles Electric has a hard time understanding." Tails said to the professor.
"Ancient words huh, very intriguing." Professor Pickles says, rubbing his chin.
Tails then began to upload the images he took of the stone wall from his Miles Electric to his huge computer. It took a moment but the images appeared in front of Professor Pickles's screen. The old professor's interest peaked when saw the images of the stone wall appear on his computer screen.
"Are you sure this guy could translate the words?" Honey asked.
"Trust us, Professor Pickles' major is ancient literature. He really helped us translate the Gaia manuscript. If anyone can translate some ancient words it's him." Sonic answered.
"Well Professor Pickles, got any idea what those words are?" Tails asked.
Professor Pickles began rubbing his chin, "These are indeed ancient words, but thankfully I do know. It's an old text dating from over thousands of years ago from the old world. Just give me a moment to go over it so I don't miss out on any important information." He said.
The gang waited as they saw Professor Pickles take out a piece of paper and pencil to write with. He looked carefully between the images of the stone wall and his paper. It took a few minutes before he was finally done and ready to report to the gang.
"Alright, I'm done." Professor Pickles said.
"Well what's the word?" Sonic said.
"It translates to saying that this stone wall tells the story of three masters of Evils known as Morgal, Necros, and Ulger." The Professor said, saying the names.
"Morgal, Necros, and Ulger?" Tails said, thinking about the names.
Honey looked at the female hedgehog, "Hey Selena, didn't that Kazyr guy say those names when you open the chest?" Honey asked.
"Now that you mention it, yeah." Selena said, thinking back.
"Might I ask? How did you find this stone wall in the first place?" Professor Pickles asked, very curious.
"My twin sister accidentally let out these masters of evil." Sonic said, bluntly out loud as he pointed at his twin.
"Say what?!" Professor Pickles said, surprised as he backed away from the screen.
"I was tricked!" Selena said, trying to defend herself.
"Yeah, like Sonic said. Right now, we want to know more about these masters of evil before fighting them." Tails said, looking up at the screen.
Professor Pickles then began to think, "You know I think I heard of those names before. From an old book I once translated." He said.
"You have?" Knuckles said.
"I thought nothing about it because it sounded more like a fantasy story written many years ago. Although now that I see this stone wall, it might not be a fantasy at all." The old professor said, getting up from his seat.
The gang watched Professor Pickles walk towards his many bookshelves he collected over the years. He kept searching until he found the book he was looking for, he walked back gently back to his desk, opened the book, and began searching through the pages.
He searched until he finally came across the page he was looking for and looked back at Sonic and his friends. "I do believe I found it. I hope it will aid you in your adventure." He said, before reading.
The gang listens carefully as Professor Pickles coughs a bit before speaking. Their attention was straightly at him as he began to tell the story of the three ancient evils.
"Found in the carving upon the great stone wall in secret, tell the time beyond memory. A time of world shattering war when the brave and the desperate rise up against the three masters of evil. They were Morgal, lord of the beast who sent savage armies over the land. Necros, master of war who incited all man rage eternally. Ulger, the overlord, who blackens the world with foul magic. All the inhabitants of earth were locked in a hopeless fever battle against a black fate. Raging like a great fire, insanity swept across the land with the ferocity unmatched in all history. But when at last the smoke was cleared, the masters of evil had suffered a crushing defeat where locked away with a black seal. Only a few have survived to tell the story, their names have been lost in the mist of time but their labors stand still today. For the black seal holds fast protecting mankind from certain destruction at the hand of the masters of evils."
Many were speechless after Professor Pickles was done telling the story of the three masters of evil. Selena looked down feeling ashamed, even though she was tricked she knew she was responsible for setting these ancient evils out to the world. Sonic gave a worried look at his twin sister before looking back at the Professor.
"So what now? We now know what we're going up against." Knuckles said.
"Not so fast Knuckles, I heard something of a black seal to defeat these masters of evil." Tails said, recalling from the tale.
Selena looked back at the pictures of the stone wall seeing how hard the heroes from the past fought to keep the world safe. She walked towards the monitor and gave Professor Pickles a serious look.
"Tell us, is there a way we can make a new black seal?" She asked, looking at the old man.
Everyone looked at Selena as they looked back at the old man. Professor Pickles nodded and began to look back at the pages of the book. He flipped through the pages carefully as he skimmed through them until they found something that might be useful.
"Perhaps there is a way." He answered.
"Really?! How?!" Selena said, very eager to know.
"If you want to make a new black seal to put away these ancient evils. You must collect the four orbs. They will morph together making a new black seal." Professor Pickles said, reading the book carefully.
"Well great! Just where do we get these orbs from?" Sonic asked.
"From the enforcers that work for the Master of Evils. Each of them contains an orb, it's a safe bet that you defeat them in order to get them." Professor Pickles said, informing the gang.
Selena slammed her hands on the keyboards of Tails' keyboard with a smirk. "Then it's settled, we'll find these four orbs and put away these three evils. Whatever it takes." She said, determined.
Honey, Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles all looked at Selena and saw her determination, a smile formed on their faces seeing her this way. Sonic couldn't help but chuckle, he was starting to see more of himself in his twin sister but having her own spark that was different from his.
Professor Pickles gave a worried look, as he didn't think it was wise for the young lady trying to take down these evil masters, but that thought was quickly dismissed for she would have the help of her twin brother Sonic and his friends, who were more than capable to save the world like they once they did.
"Well where do we go? Where can we find the first orb?" Honey said.
"Yeah, where do we go?" Sonic also asked.
"Hmmm, let me look at that picture of that stone wall again." Professor Pickles said.
The professor looked back at the pictures of the stone wall that Tails sent him. He looked carefully the next few minutes before nodding his head. He looked back at the gang.
"I think I have located one of the orb's locations thanks to further digging into the picture." Professor Pickles said, giving some happy news.
"Really that's awesome!" Tails said, happy to hear some more good results.
"Yes, unfortunately I was able to identify only one of their locations. The rest of the orb's locations were completely destroyed off the stone wall." The professor said.
"We'll take it! It's better than having no lead." Sonic said.
"The first orb is located near a place called Skelf Woods, according to the stone wall." He said.
"Skelf Woods huh? I'm not familiar with that place." Tails said, thinking about it.
"Hey even better, that means we get to go to new places for our adventure." Selena said, as Sonic agreed with her that.
"I suppose this is where I did my part." Professor Pickles said, speaking up. "Normally I would be worried but seeing all of you working together. There's no need to worry. I know you'll save the world like you once have."
"You bet! This is nothing after we've been through in Blaze's dimension." Sonic said, nodding to his friends who agree with him.
"What happened in Blaze's dimension?" Selena said, very curious to know what her brother and his friends went through recently.
"We'll tell you about that later." Honey chuckled.
Tails glanced back at Professor Pickles, "Thanks a lot Professor! You really have been a huge help to us!" He said to his elderly friend.
"You're welcome Tails, it's also very great meeting the rest of you for the very first time. I must thank you for showing these ancient texts, they are very fascinating. I hope we can have another chat soon." The old professor said, smiling softly at them.
"If you ever want to study the echidna tribe. I'll be happy to give you a tour of Angel Island to help with your studies." Knuckles offered.
"Oh thank you sir, I will take you up on your offer some day." He said, getting ready to turn off the camera.
"Wait!"
Professor Pickles' assistant suddenly appeared on the screen with a hasty look on him as he stood next to the professor. "I do have a name! My name is…"
The video then ended before the assistant could finish his sentence for Professor Pickles accidentally ended the video feed as it went static, leaving the gang mostly confused by what happened but decided not to question it.
"Well that was weird?" Honey said, scratching her head.
"Tails, get the Tornado ready. We're heading to Skelf Woods." Sonic said, making Tails nodded his head.
Knuckles stretched his arms and rolled his neck. "Finally we can get to punch things." He said, very happy.
"I can't wait to swing my sword. I've been itching to release all this stress." Selena said, holding her sword and doing some swings.
"This is so exciting!" Honey said, getting in a cute fighting pose.
The gang were ready for the challenge ahead, they headed to the exit of Tails' workshop, making sure they had everything with them.
"Come on, let's go! The sooner we get these orbs and defeat these dumb masters of evil. The sooner we can slack off and have fun again." Sonic, giving his two tail fox friend a thumbs up.
Tails nodded, and smiled. He grabbed his Miles Electric from his table and began setting the coordinates to Skelf Woods to his Tornado. Once he finished putting in the coordinates, the gang wasted no time heading to the first place to get the orb they needed to make a new black seal as they finally start off their adventure together.
