Recap...
"Huh.. okay- yeah." Sakura mumbles, shaking her head. She looks towards Marco, then back towards the head wound. "Lets get that wound closed, yeah?" She suggests.
Marco grins. "Let me show you were we keep our supplies. I want to see you heal, perhaps you'll do well in my division." He says.
Sakura doesn't question the hidden meaning behind his words, just nodding. Used to being under constant loopwatch and judgement from Tsunade. Marco would be no different.
"Sounds good. Let's start then, shall we?"
Marco drifted towards the side, pulling open two hanging cabinets. Sakura peered from where she stood, looking through the pills and other supplies stacked into the cabinets.
Marco tilted his head back, looking down towards her questionably. "Anything you need?"
"Pain killers." Sakura replied instantly, looking down at the unconscious body of Ace. Reaching her hand out to prob the wound on her head, flames flicked out protectively. Chewing her lip, she sighed.
"Is there any way for you to keep his flames at bay? I won't be able to work on him if my hands are burned" Sakura drawled out hopeful.
Marco chuckles softly at her words, but nodded anyway. He pulled out a bottle of pills, and metal handcuffs. Much to Sakura's confusion.
The first commander walked from the cabinets back towards the bed. Handing her the bottle of pills. Sakura took them from his grasp, watching as Marco secured one of the cuffs around the teens wrist, before connecting it to the side of the bed. Almost instantly, the teens flames died out.
"What..?" Sakura murmured, confused.
"Seastone. It's a weakness to us devil fruit users. We can't use our powers." Marco explains, motioning to the cuff.
Sakura nodded slowly, placing down the pill bottle and shuffling towards the top of the bed where Ace's head laid.
Tuning out Marco's presence, Sakura gently hovered her hands over the wound. The blood around the large gash already dried. Her hands flowed light green, chakra pushing out of her body in small, controlled bursts. Healing the cut from the inside out slowly.
Sakura could feel Marcos gaze on her, burning holes into her skin. But she shakes the anxious feeling from her, watching with rapt attention as the wound healed itself. With the gash now closed, only a small little scar ran from his scalp to the edge of his forehead - barely visible.
Before Marco could speak, Sakura pushed her chakra deeper into the kids body. Trailing her hands down, scanning for any other internal injuries that might pose a problem. Especially if it was a broken rib, or an injury to an organ. While Sakura could preform the surgery, she would be on her own. And if she ran out of chakra... we'll she's basically be - fucked.
Thankfully, like Jinbei, the only thing she found was worn muscles. And easy fix, and Sakura watched the tension leave the teens body as she did so.
Lifting her hands away, Sakura allowed her chakra to seep back into her body. Lifting her head to meet Marcos wide eyes. The blondes mouth opened, than shut closed.
"He doesn't have any internal injuries, thankfully. A few bruises on his body that I didn't necessarily heal because it would be a waste of chakra." Sakura concluded.
"What... the?" Marco mumbled. Before shaking his head.
"This isn't a devil fruit, is it? First you survived a huge fall, without any injuries I might add. You can walk on water, and you just healed the kid with your bare hands, yoi." Marco said, his voice filled with disbelief.
Sakura smiled sheepishly, before motioning towards the chairs not far from the bed. "Let me explain. But let's sit, yeah?" She offered.
Marco nodded, and the two shuffled towards the two chairs. Sakura glanced around, glad most nurses were gone or too busy to notice. Sakura took in a breath as she sat, pondering over how to explain this to him.
"In my world, we don't have devil fruits yes." Sakura began.
"But what we do have, is Chakra. It's present in your world- which is probably the reason I am able to use mine - but it is too tiny to use like I do." Sakura said, holding out her hand.
Like before, her hands glowed a faint green. "What I use my chakra for, is medical ninjutsu. Manipulating my chakra to heal others. Mens skin cells back together, stop bleedings. I'm sure you get the gist." Sakura's hand fell back down to her lap.
"It's also how I walk on water and other surfaces. Chakra can be utilized to do many things. Like jutsus, genjustus." Sakura bit the inside of her cheek, her words reminding her of Kakashi. When he had first described everything to her and team seven when they were genin.
"Everyone in your world can use it?" Marco asks, a tad astonished.
Sakura shrugged. "Not... exactly. We have civilians. Which are people who have chakra, yet cannot use it due to the amount they possess. I have a friend who cannot use ninjutsu because his chakra is so, so small. Despite him being a Shinobi." Sakura grinned at the thought of Rock Lee. Wondering what the green clad man was up to. Training, no doubt.
Marco nodded along to her words. Coming to his own conclusion.
"Well, since we still haven't found a way to get you back. Allow me to talk with Oyaji. I'll see if I can get you a spot in my division. After all, a woman of your skill would be hard to find again." Marco offered.
Sakura raised a brow. "Working in your division?" He nodded at her words, motioning to the room around him.
"First Division is basically people who work in the medically field. I myself, am a doctor. As is Whitney Bay. We'd love to have you working along side us." Marco grinned, and Sakura found herself smiling alongside him. Happy with the offer.
"I'd love that." She said.
Marco stood from his chair, looking from Sakura towards the teen.
"Care to watch him while I go talk with Oyaji? If he wakes up, holler at one of the nurses. They'll come find either me, or Whitney." Marco asked.
Sakura shurgged, nodding along. "Yeah sure." She agreed.
Marco nodded, saying nothing else as he turned and walked out of the room. The door closing behind him with a click. Sakura eventually stood, only one nurse remained. But she was busy cleaning a part of the room on the other side. Shaking her head, Sakura moved towards the teen. Looking him over quietly.
She chewed on her lip, a habit she recently gotten over that seemed to be coming back.
Sakura moved towards the cabinet Marco had grabbed the pain killers from, pulling open the white doors. Eyes drifting around until they landed on some towels. She grabbed those, and a bottle of disinfectant.
Sakura shuffled back to the bed, placing her supplies on a metal table with the pain killers. She looked around again, before spotting a sink. She moved towards it, not before grabbing a round white bowl as she did so.
Sakura turned the knob on the metal sink, holding the bowl underneath the stream of water. Filling it one forth of the way before turning it off.
Her eyes drifted back to Ace. A frown on her lips as the teens brows furrowed and he shifted in the bed. He looked exhausted. But then again, he had been fighting Jinbei for days. The kid must be pretty resilient if that was the case.
Shaking her head, Sakura mixed the water with the disinfectant. Dipping the towel into the water/disinfectant mixture- before ringing it out.
She leaned over the team, gently washing away the dried blood and dirt that covered his face. With the grim gone, and the water dirtied, Sakura placed the rag down. Happy with her progress.
Ace looked relatively better, washed from all the blood that had dotted his face. With a second glance, Sakura was certain this.. kid was well - a teen. Holding an almost boyish charm. He didn't look anything like Thatch, or Marco. Who were definitely older than Sakura by a few years or more.
But she couldn't judge. After all, she was only twelve when she became a genin. Too young, but that was in the past. Sakura sighed, looking around the empty room. Before staggering towards the chairs against the wall. Sitting down with a huff. All of a sudden, decently tired.
Her eyes drifted around the room, a frown on her lips. Oh how she missed her own hospital. She missed Shizune, Tsunande. Even Ino, and Naruto. Her two annoying blondes.
Despite how nice and inclusive this world seemed to be. Staying on water... just didn't seem like something she wanted for the rest of her life. And what of Sasuke? She was finally getting the Uchiha to open up to her. And she just up right disappears. Shaking her head, Sakura blinks. Her eyes feeling heavy as she rested her cheek on the palm of her hand.
"Sasuke... Naruto, Tsunande.. even Kakashi Sensei. They'll save me." She murmurs to herself quietly.
"Just a little while longer Sakura.. you got this." Sakura whispered to herself, hopeful.
