"What a lovely day to be alive!" I say as I walk outside my house. The sun was up early as usual. The temperature was always nice in the morning with a little breeze now and again. I had just arrived at my car and realized I had forgotten my car key inside my house. I turned to go back inside to get my keys until I also realized I took the front door to get to my car.

The garage was closed and when I checked, the doors to the house were locked. I lived alone and didn't know anyone in the neighborhood so I was out of luck. Rummaging through my pocket for my phone, but just my luck my phone was not there.

"I guess I have to walk since it's not too far, just 10 miles away." I start walking and walking and more walking just walking no one to talk to and nothing to do except for just walking.

Up came the first crosswalk and I walked with not much problem. Up came an intersection and I walked past with not much problem. Then I continue walking and walking, but something about the air seems different as I was walking. It was harder to breathe and I was getting lightheaded. This is not regular, it was getting hotter the more I walked. This never happened before in all the times I walked to work.

I wasn't too far, maybe if I turned back and just took a bus this feeling would go away. But going back only made it worse, to the point that I could barely breathe. I collapsed onto the ground and I passed out.

When I woke up I was in what looked like a hospital. I looked around and I was laying on a bed with some type of I.V. attachment to me. I see a bald man with a mustache wearing glasses or goggles who I guess is the doctor walking into the room. He looks more like a mad scientist if you had asked me.

"You're awake, that's good," he said.

"Where am I?" I asked him, noticing my voice sounded very different, almost childlike.

"Well kid, you were found passed out on the streets," he said.

Kid? I thought to myself. I looked at my hands and they seemed smaller. It takes me a moment to process this information. I was smaller and I sounded younger, was I a kid again I thought. "I'm a kid," I asked.

"Do you know who or where your parents are," he asked.

"I…. I don't have any. They've already died," I said, remembering that I was raised by my grandparents but they are also gone now.

"I see. Do you have any friends that could take care of you," he asked.

"No, I live by myself."

"Hmmm interesting, do you remember why you passed out?"

"I was walking then the air was getting harder to breathe then I kept getting hotter then I just passed out," I said.

"That is strange. Wait here a moment. I'll go get the person who helped you here. While I do that, don't go anywhere, alright?"

The doctor left the room and he didn't even answer my question or waited for my response. I waited for a bit then I got off the bed with the IV detached and then the door to the room opened. There I saw a green-haired woman entering the room. She looked glad when she saw me.

"Hello," I said, waving my hand.

"Hello there. It looks like you're doing ok," she replied.

"Yeah. So were you the one who brought me here," I asked.

"Yes, I am. You were burning up like a fire when my son found you on the ground. Glad to see you are doing fine now," she said with a smile.

"Thank you for saving me," I bowed my head.

"I wasn't the one who saved you, it was my son," she laughed. "And you don't have to bow your head. We just did what anyone would have done."

"Ok," I said as I stopped bowing.

"The doctor said you didn't have anyone to take care of you, is that right," she asked.

I didn't say anything but I guess she noticed my sad expression because she went to pat my head and said "Do you want to stay with me then, my son would enjoy having a sister?"

"Really, would you really just accept a random child into your family like that," I questioned.

"Yes, I would. If it was you. Besides you have nowhere else to go so why don't you come home with us."

"I guess it's fine if it was you. It would be nice to have a place to sleep anyway," I said.

"That's great! What's your name," she asked.

"My name… My name is?" Why can't I remember my name? What was my name? As I thought of my name my head started to hurt and then I lost strength in my legs and fell onto the hard ground. The woman quickly picked me up asking me if I was ok and settled me back onto the bed and all I said was, "I can't remember my name."

She looked a bit shocked. The lady then pats my head again, "It's ok you don't need to remember it right now you must still be tired, rest up a bit more and see if you can remember."

I looked at her and asked, "Do you know your name?"

I don't know what was happening but something in my brain was telling me to sleep and I tried to fight it but I got more sleepy as I tried to stay awake until I could barely hear what Inko was saying and then I fell asleep.

(Third Person Perspective)

The girl asked the woman what the woman's name was and with a happy smile she said, "My name is Inko Midoriya but you can call me Inko." The girl seemed to have heard her but didn't respond.

"Are you ok? Hey," Inko said as she looked at the girl slowly closing her eyes. Panicking she went out to find the nearest doctor or nurse in the area. When she exited the room she saw the doctor from before walking towards the room, she then told him that the girl from earlier fell unconscious again. The doctor went inside and checked on the condition of the girl but it looked like the girl was just sleeping and everything was going to be fine, the doctor assured Inko.

"Thank goodness," Inko sighed in relief.

"Ah yes that reminds me, Mrs. Midoriya, the results are in for your son to see if he has a quirk or not and I think you might want to be there for him to hear about this," the doctor said.

"Oh my, I almost forgot the main reason why we came here. Yes, let's go," she said.

Inko and the doctor left the girl alone and went to another room where Inko's son was in. "I can't wait to find out what quirk I have!" Inko's son said in excitement as he saw them walk into the room.

The doctor gestured for Inko to sit on the chair next to her son and so she sat down on the chair and he also went to sit on a chair. With a heavy sigh, he said, "Sorry kid that's not going to happen."

"What do you mean," Inko questioned.

"My record shows you're a 4th generation quirk user. What powers do you and your husband have?"

"Well I have the power to float small objects towards me and my husband can breathe fire, nothing special but they're useful enough."

"Izuku should have already manifested one of these quirks or a combination of both but after reviewing his x-rays I don't think he's going to. Quirks are said to be the next stage of evolution in the human race. It is possible to diagnose a person as possessing or lacking a Quirk by analyzing the presence or absence of an extra joint in their pinky toe. People with only one joint will develop a Quirk while having two joints indicates that the person is quirkless and it just so happens your son has that extra joint making it safe to say your son will be quirkless."

(First Person Perspective)

I wake up to see that I'm not in the same room as I was before. I look around and see that I'm now in a bedroom with some posters and figurines of a muscular man. It was dark inside so I could barely make out what the words on the poster spelled. Then I heard breathing and looked towards the sound and there was a boy with green curly hair sleeping next to me.

I thought this must be the son of that woman and it seems she took me to her home. Might as well sleep and get answers tomorrow. I close my eyes and go back to sleep.

When I woke up again, it was morning. There was some noise from outside the room so I got out of bed without waking up the kid. I opened the door and there was a hallway. I walk towards the noise and I see the woman from before cooking and she does not seem to notice me. Trying to recall my memories before I fell asleep so I say, "Hello, Ms. Myyy dorri a?"

She turned to look my way and, with surprise, said, "Oh you're awake. Do you want breakfast?" My stomach growled in comedic timing like it knew when food was there which was strange but we laughed it off. "Let me introduce myself again. My name is Inko Midoriya. Can you wake up my son Izuku? I'll get breakfast ready."

I nodded and went back to the room guessing that the person there was her son. I shook Izuku a little bit and told him to wake up. Izuku opened his eyes and looked at me confused as to who I was and then suddenly said, "Oh you must be my new sister, mom said you didn't have anywhere else to stay, so you're here."

"Your mom told me to wake you up, breakfast is ready," I said.

"Ok let's go, I'll show you all my All Might figurines after," Izuku said with excitement.

We got out of the room, went to the kitchen and I saw Ms. Midoriya doing the dishes and the food neatly laid out on the table.

"Mom we're here," Izuku said.

"Oh Izuku, you and your sister can go ahead and sit and eat without me. I just need to finish the dishes and I will be there," Ms. Midoriya replied.

Izuku and I sat at the table and Izuku started eating his plate of food but I was hesitant. Ms. Midoriya finished her dishes and came to the table and saw that I wasn't eating and said, "What's wrong, why aren't you eating, are you not feeling hungry anymore?"

"No, it's not that. It's just you're being so nice to me even though you barely know me," I said, still thinking that I was an adult.

"Well I can't just not help another person who needs help right Izuku," she said.

"Yeah, like a hero," Izuku said with food still in his mouth.

I simply nodded and started eating and as I took my first bite I got this sense of nostalgia that made me tear up a little as I was eating. Ms. Midoriya clearly saw that I was crying inside but chose not to say anything then got a napkin to wipe my tears.

After we finished our food and I stopped crying, Izuku took me back to his room and asked, "So what's your name?"

I thought hard about my name but just couldn't find my name so I said, "I don't remember my name."

"Well if you don't know your name what am I supposed to call you," he said.

"I don't know, let me think," and after a few seconds of silence I thought about what to call myself until I got and just gave up and went with something random, "Call me Akumi."

"Ok. Akumi is what we will call you and my name is Izuku and this is my All Might collection," he said with a discerning smile. Time passed and Izuku showed me all his All Might figures, posters, and videos he had and knew but one video I could tell made Izuku sad but he said it was his favorite so I didn't question it.

"So do you know what your quirk is," Izuku asked.

"What's a quirk," I said.

"What? You don't know what a quirk is? Hmmm well, a quirk is a superpower," he said.

"If it's a superpower I don't know if I have one or not." Thinking about it, my superpower could be turning into a kid. "Do you have a quirk?"

Izuku went silent for a bit then said, "I don't have a quirk but I still will become the number one hero." His head was down, eyes closed, and his fist was clenched. Almost like he was expecting me to laugh at him.

"Only if you work hard," I said, which seemed to put Izuku in a better mood as he eased up.

After that talk, he continued talking about All Might until the afternoon. Ms. Midoriya was cooking and Izuku and I were sitting talking about the cool hero stuff we saw on video. When the food was set out we started eating.

"So do you remember your name," Ms. Midoriya asked.

"I still don't know my real name yet but until then Izuku and I agreed on the name Akumi. So call me Akumi," I said with a smile.

Ms. Midoriya also smiled back and said "That's great you'll now be called Akumi from now on we are glad to have you as part of our family."

"I like my new name, Akumi," I eat my food faster.

"Yay today we are officially brother and sister," Izuku said also with a smile on his face.

The afternoon went on with Izuku and I talking about heroes and Mrs. Midoriya sometimes checking in on us. At night Mrs. Midoriya told me to go with her to the hospital for a bit and told Izuku to wait at home. I went with her to a hospital and there we went to a room and I saw the same doctor from before.

"So do you want to have this talk with the child here or do you want to go to another room first," the doctor said.

"No, I think she needs to hear this and make her decision," Inko said.

The doctor explained that they looked into my background and that they couldn't find anything and looking into the conveniently placed camera they just saw me popped into existence, an anomaly in this world of quirks.

"People don't usually pop out of nowhere from thin air and have amnesia often," he elaborated. I looked at the doctor and he looked at me but something is telling me, being around him spells trouble.

They will need time to issue some papers for me to become an official citizen. I then had to choose if I wanted to be in an orphanage, stay with Mrs. Midoriya, or get tested to see if we can get my memories back but the process could be painful enough that I could die because of my small body.

I chose to stay with Ms. Midoriya because of how nice she is and that made her sigh in relief at my decision. Though I was curious about how I got here or what memories I was missing, dying is not something I want to do.

While we were there I got the test results to see if I had a quirk and I did. They must have done this when I was still asleep. He called my quirk Sponge. It seems like I can absorb and then release anything nonsolid in and out of my body.

After that, we went back to the apartment. Izuku was already asleep. Inko tucked me next to Izuku and after that she and I said goodnight to each other and then she left. Now that I'm alone, not really since Izuku is here but he's asleep so he doesn't count, I can finally bring my thoughts together.

It seems like I got transported to the world of My Hero Academia and I'm now here with the main character Izuku. I know I've watched this anime before but why don't I remember anyone or the events that are going to happen? What other memories am I missing I don't know, how did I get here I also don't know.

But one thing is for sure I'm sleeping in the same bed with a boy around my physical age. I got embarrassed and could feel myself steaming but I remind myself I'm an adult, I'm not into little boys.

I am an adult even if my body was that of a child I can't get embarrassed by sleeping with a boy. I am an adult and I shouldn't be thinking that this is strange. I'm an adult, kids this age sleep with each other all the time. I am an adult and there is no reason for me to get so worked up about this. I'm an adult and I'm getting embarrassed by sleeping with a boy around my physical age. That night it was hard to sleep but I eventually calmed down.

In the morning we had breakfast then Izuku went to school. Mrs. Midoriya and I were at home watching tv and then I felt this sudden urge to sleep again. Was it my quirk? I tried to think about releasing the tiredness out of my body and then I felt more awake.

So it was my quirk, I could have slept fast if I just wanted to sleep but how do I activate it I wondered. I tried thinking about my body absorbing the tiredness of the area and before I knew it, I was sleeping.

I woke up later and I was again in the hospital from before and saw a man in black with glowing red eyes and what looked like bandages around his neck looking at me. I saw Inko next to me holding my hand and the mad scientist-looking doctor by the door.

"Hello, Ms. Midoriya," I said.

"Oh thank goodness you're awake I thought you would have never woken up," she said crying while hugging me.

"Alright my job is done I'll be leaving now," the man in black said.

"Thank you for saving my daughter Eraserhead," Inko said as she let go of me and bowed her head towards the man.

"No need for thanking me, just doing my job," he says as he leaves the room.

"What happened Ms. Midoriya, why are you crying," I asked.

"Well kido you overused your quirk and fell into a deep slumber," the doctor said.

"I went to sleep? For how long?"

"It's been a week since you fell asleep. I was so scared when you wouldn't wake up," Mrs. Midoriya said.

"I'm sorry to cause you trouble Mrs. Midoriya I don't know what happened," I said

"I theorized that you must have absorbed all the tiredness of the apartment you were staying at since reports from the building show that everyone felt more awake," the doctor said.

"I see, I was trying to test my quirk then I felt really sleepy," I said.

"I think it's best if you don't use your quirk until you have better control over it," the doctor said.

"Oh, ok," I whimpered.

After that ordeal, Mrs. Midoriya took me back home and Izuku was there on the couch watching a tv show. He was clearly feeling down but I had my own thing to worry about right now so I didn't do anything.

The next day I was not feeling as tired and thought maybe I had better control of my quirk. Izuku has already gone to school so it was just me and Mrs. Midoriya again.

A few weeks passed nothing eventful happened but every time I saw Izuku he always looked down when he got back from school and a bit roughed up when he came back from hanging out with his friends.

Whenever I had the chance to ask him if something happened he would say he was fine and not to worry but Mrs. Midoriya and I both knew something was wrong but Mrs. Midoriya wasn't doing anything about it and so was I.

As the days passed we went shopping for new supplies for me with the occasional question of who I was whenever someone who knew Mrs. Midoriya saw me with her. Every time we stop and explain that I was her new daughter and that she had just adopted me recently.

A month had passed since then and my papers were finally issued so I could go to school. While walking to my first day of school Izuku told me he wanted to introduce me to his friends when we got there.

When we arrived at the school there were two teachers and I had a lot of attention for being the new student. I introduced myself as Akumi Midoriya, Izuku's sister and I explained my quirk since so many people were asking about it.

People then made fun of Izuku in whispers saying he was lame that even his sister had a quirk and he didn't. I hear all this and I tell them to stop but then one blond spiky-haired kid said, "Why are you telling us to stop, it's true. Deku is useless without a quirk."

"What do you mean he's useless? Izuku can do a lot of things even without a quirk, isn't that right Izuku," I argued back.

"If he's not useless then why does he need a girl to defend him," the boy shot back.

"What's wrong with a girl—"

"Ok that's enough fighting you two, children are not meant to be fighting each other you know that," the female teacher said.

"It wasn't my fault she started it," the boy said.

That got me a bit irritated and I started feeling more angry I don't know what came over me but I just went off and yelled out, "My fault?! You're making fun of my brother and I was defending him and it's my fault! Do you not know that because of people like you putting other people down they grow up being depressed and suicidal! You need to be taught a lesson!" I got my fist raised.

"Akumi, I think you need to calm down. I'm sure they didn't mean anything by it," the male teacher said, trying to calm me down.

"But!"

"Akumi, it's fine you don't have to get angry over me, I'm fine," Izuku said.

After he said that it made me even more angry and then I realized. My quirk must have activated subconsciously and it's making me absorb anger I think. I forced myself to stop and release the anger stored and then everyone in the room felt a huge amount of my anger as it released and disappeared just as fast as it appeared. The teachers looked shocked and some of the kids looked scared including Izuku but the only one that looked fine was that blond spiky-haired kid.

"I'm sorry everyone I lost my cool for a bit. I apologize for the trouble I caused," and I bowed my head towards the blond hair boy then said, "I'm sorry for yelling at you and I didn't mean anything by it."

"Yea… yeah no problem just don't start anything with me," the boy said.

"Hey Akumi, was that your quirk just now," the female teacher said.

"I think that was and I'm sorry for causing a commotion and would gladly accept any punishment," I said as I bowed my head towards her.

"It's... it's fine, just, don't use it too much it looks like you scared some of the other kids here," she said. I nodded my head in agreement and for the rest of the school day I remained silent and no one approached me or Izuku.

After school finishes I realized that Izuku wanted me to meet his friends but I totally forgot about it because of the incident and when we were walking back home I asked Izuku if he wanted to introduce me to some of his friends but he said, "I don't think he wants to see you right now."

"What do you mean, was it because of that show I caused? I'm sure, if it's not that blond spiky hair boy that I yelled at, I could get along with anyone," I said.

"The thing is… Well… He kind of… Is that person," Izuku said, twiddling his fingers.

"What! You're friends with him!"

"Yea… Yeah, I am."

"Why are you still friends with that jerk," I asked.

"Well, Bakugo is just so cool and strong. He has such an amazing quirk and he's popular with everyone. I want to be just like him, strong and popular with an amazing quirk, but now I can never be like him.".

"Look at me in the eyes Izuku," I put my hands on both sides of Izuku's head making sure he was looking at me and could still hear me. "If you can't tell, you are not strong nor popular. You can still be friends with a jerk like him and that's already something I can't do. But there is one thing that you are that that boy can never be. Do you want to know what it is," I smile after finishing my sentence and I see Izuku blushing a bit.

"Wha… what is it?" He responded.

I let go of his head, walked a little bit further ahead of him, and turned to face him making a serious face with a few seconds of silence, and said "You are," I pointed at him.

"I am?" He said and also pointed at himself looking confused.

I put my hand on my chest, tilt my head, put on a joyful smile, and said, "My hero." I then quickly turned and rushed home.

"Wa-wa-wait what do you mean," Izuku yelled out.

"I'll explain it when we're older," I yelled back.

"But I want to know now," Izuku said as I looked back and he was running after me. I smiled then we shared some laughter until we got back home.
