"And away you go!" I chuck Youta over my shoulder to a tree.
Youta's back hits the top of the tree, "I was dreading this day."
"And That's what you get for putting me through that training. And that awful diet."
"Wasn't it you who wanted me to train you in the first place? Besides if we didn't train like that then you wouldn't have been able to throw me like this. Also, how did you get so strong in such a short amount of time? You're not using your quirk are you?"
"It's because your training was much more effective than anything Izuku and his coach could ever do."
"It was all your hard work. Also, you didn't have to follow that diet. It was just there to see if you wanted to quit. But anyway, now that you're able to throw me, what's your next goal?"
"I haven't been using my quirk ever since our training began so I want to experiment with it while I still have the chance. The deadline is closing in quickly now that school is out."
"I wish you the best of luck because I won't be able to be your test subject. I have work to do." Youta jumped down from the tree.
"Oh come on. Just one little test before you go," I pleaded.
Youta sighs, "Okay, but just one. So what is it."
"Really! Okay, okay, hold still." Youta stands still as I absorb the tired feeling. Putting a hand out towards Youta I say, "Sleep."
I send Youta the tired feelings towards him and I see it working as he said sleepily, "What are you… Trying to…" Before I could hear him finish his sentence I fell asleep.
I woke up in my bed. Checking the time it was late afternoon. "Great, I wasted a day." I get up and head to the living room where Mrs. Midoryia was in.
"Akumi, you're awake. Youta brought you back here."
"I see. Did he say anything?"
"Yeah, he said you accidentally used your quirk and put yourself to sleep."
"Was he feeling tired?"
"Hmmm. Now that I think about it. He was yawning and a bit drowsy. But he said he was fine."
"Ok, that's good to hear. So is Izuku back yet."
"No, he's still out training."
"Okay then." I go and put my socks and shoes on.
"Where are you going?"
"I'm going to take a look at Izuku's progress."
"Oh, well then stay safe and don't come home too late. Also, don't use your quirk so much, and don't get into any dangerous situations. Make sure to avoid those strange areas and not to trust any shady individual. Oh and also–"
"Ok, mom." I open the front door. "I'll be off now."
"Wait, don't forget your jacket and umbrella. The weather forecast said it might rain later on." Mrs. Midoryia hands me my raincoat and an umbrella.
I put on the raincoat and took the umbrella as I walked out the door, "Thanks. I'll be sure to be home before midnight."
"That's a little late, where are you–" I closed the door before I could hear the question. I wonder if Izuku is still in the beach area.
As I made my way out of the building I pondered if there was a way to fast travel that isn't so conspicuous as flying. "Wait… What if I flew but not very high. What's that called again…? Hovering? If I can just remove the wind friction by absorbing the air in the general direction of where I want to go and adjusting the output of… I shouldn't be thinking out loud like this. This makes me too similar to Izuku whenever he figures out some new move. Let's just test it out."
I absorbed the air around me as I was moving and propelled myself in the direction I wanted. It was a bit tricky at first, absorbing air through the front and redirecting it below me in small increments. It felt like I was the puck on an air hockey table and my legs are the paddles.
I wasn't using as much force to propel my body since I didn't need to go high, and because of that, I could still use my leg to push off the ground if I lost speed. Getting more comfortable I sped up little by little until I reached the beach. Taking more steps and almost reaching a running cycle.
Before I knew it, I was watching Izuku in front of me moving trash back and forth. His coach was nowhere to be found. I approached slowly so as to not make my presence known but I stepped on some stupid plastic bottle making a loud creak. Izuku noticed me right away as he looked my way and said, "Akumi?"
Since I was already found I made my way over to Izuku stopping my hovering, "Hey Izuku. How's the clean-up going along?"
"I mean look around. I need to work extra hard since the deadline is closing. I still have so much I need to clean up."
Looking around, there was still a lot of trash but also a lot less than before. Most of the larger pieces have already been removed and now it's just the small to medium size trash around. "Mom said it might rain tonight so I came here just in case… That's a lie, I actually came here to see you."
"See me. For what?"
"Your progress. Now get back to work." I swing the umbrella missing Izuku on purpose.
"Okay!" Izuku freaks out and he goes back to pick up the smaller trash and puts it in a bag.
Unfortunately, it started to sprinkle soon after. I only just now noticed how Izuku's arms, without his jacket, were a lot more muscular than before. I can almost see a six-pack forming through his shirt. It makes me wonder if Youta or Katsuki had muscles like Izuku. My brain starts to imagine the three boys shirtless. Before I could imagine anything below the waist, my train of thought gets disrupted by thunder and the sudden heavy downpour onto my head cooling me off. This doesn't deter Izuku as he continues to clean up the beach through the rain. The sea was raging a bit as more thunder could be heard.
"Hey, Izuku! Don't you think we should head back now!? It's raining quite heavily!" I shout to Izuku through the sound of falling water.
"You go ahead! I still need to fill the quota for the day!" Izuku shouts back.
"We'll both catch a cold in this situation! Let's Go back together!" I said as lightning strikes again and the sound of thunder drowns my voice.
"What was that!" Izuku shouts.
I walked over to Izuku as I put the hood of my jacket over my head and grabbed his hand, "Let's go home!"
"But—"
"No Buts!" This was the moment I was training for. Being able to throw Youta means I'm able to carry Izuku but I decided to fling Izuku towards the cemented area. He screams through the air until he lands in a pile of trash cushioning his fall. I walk over to him with the umbrella now open with a hand stretched out towards him, "Let's go home."
Izuku sighs as he takes my hand and says, "Okay." His grip was firm and I could feel the callus on his palms. I pulled him up and we shared the umbrella, Izuku on my left, as we made our way back to our apartment complex.
The Umbrella only helped a little because the wind was a bit strong and the water went in different directions than just down. "I would dry us off but I'm a little bit more tired than usual."
"Oh, that's right. I got a text from Youta saying that you accidentally fell asleep using your quirk. But it seems like you are still feeling the effects of it. Here you can lean on me." Izuku takes the umbrella and hooks my left arm over his shoulder.
"If we weren't siblings I would have to say that you are making pretty bold moves here."
Izuku blushes, "We are siblings. We help each other when we need and want to."
"I'll take you up on that offer then." I lean a bit on Izuku. Feeling up his arm, it was tender but then he tensed up as I ran my finger along his biceps.
"Ummm. Akumi. Can you not rub your finger like that along my arm? It's a little. Uncomfortable."
I see Izuku blushes as I grope his arm, "Since when did you gain such hard muscles?"
"W-w-well it's the training. And other things… L-like dieting and sleeping. A-along with hard commitment and work."
"Then how come I don't have muscles as good as yours." I took his free hand and placed it on my bicep and flexed it. "Come on, try squeezing it. You see how squishy it is."
Izuku reluctantly squeezes my arm softly and comments, "It might just be that your body can't build muscle with the training you're doing."
"Well, it's not like I care about getting muscles. I wouldn't need it anyway." I leaned my head onto his shoulder and said, "Why would I need muscles if I already have such great heroes watching over me?"
"But didn't you say I wasn't your hero anymore?"
"When did I ever say you were one of those great heroes? You're getting a little over your head there, I was talking about Katsuki and Youta."
I can feel Izuku burning up as he blurted out, "Right Katsuki and Youta! That's who you meant! It's just because you clanged on to me and it was in the moment. I didn't mean it like that. It's just… Well, you know?"
"Shhhh." I placed a finger on his lips. "Complete the challenge and maybe you can be one of those people again."
We eventually arrived back home, drenched in water. Mrs. Midoryia was worried about us but eventually calmed down. Izuku and I dried ourselves with towels and he suggested I use the bath first. Nothing eventful happened after that. We had a late dinner and then headed to bed.
The next morning my body was sweating and hot. "Great, I caught a cold," I coughed. Rubbing my head, I felt sluggish.
Mrs. Midoryia opens the door, "Akumi are you awake yet…? Oh no." She walks over to me and puts her palm on my forehead, "Look at yourself. You've gotten yourself sick."
"Sorry."
"Why are you apologizing? I'll get a wet towel. Focus on resting up. It's a good thing Izuku didn't get sick. I'll get him to take care of you. Such bad timing, I need to go to a gathering today that I can't miss but if anything happens I won't hesitate to come back here."
I sneeze as I can feel my nose getting stuffy, "But Izuku has training. Don't tell him. He needs to focus on training."
I get up but Mrs. Midoriya pushes me back down, "What are you saying? You're not thinking right. I'll tell Izuku, so just stay in bed." Mrs. Midoryia then gets up and leaves. She later comes back with Izuku and a wet towel. She placed the towel on my forehead then told Izuku something I couldn't understand and left.
Izuku looks very sad sitting at my bedside. Almost like he was going to cry at any moment. I boop him on the nose and smile, "Hey. At least it's not my quirk's fault this time. Don't make that face in front of a sick person."
Izuku covers his nose, "Yeah. Oh, right you haven't had breakfast yet. Mom is making soup right now before leaving."
"How come I was the only one who got sick?"
"Well maybe because you were tired then got drenched in cold water because of the rain. Could also be being around trash like me," he joked.
"Don't c-call yourself trash… You're more like, uh, grass… With how many times you were harassed… And how easily you let them pass… But at least I like laying around in a field of grass… B-Because our forest is free from human trash…"
"You're not making any sense. I guess you really are just sick. Akari said that when your quirk makes you sick you still have most of your critical thinking skills intact."
"What are you… Talking about. Akari who? Why are there three of you?" I squinted my eyes as of right now my vision wasn't the best and my head was spinning.
Izuku closed my eyes and said, "I'll wake you up when it's time for you to eat."
"Okay," I said as I went to sleep. But soon enough I get woken up by Izuku with a bowl of soup in his hand and medicine on the table. "Wait. Don't I have work today?"
"No, you don't have work today. But can you eat by yourself?"
"Eat? What is eat?"
"Okay…" I see Izuku breathe out. "I guess, I'll have to feed you."
"Feed? Not a baby. Am adult woman. I will feed."
I slowly lifted my shirt then Izuku pulls it back down.
"Why are you taking your clothes off?!" Izuku shouts, holding back my arms.
"Breastfeeding?" I say and struggle to get up. Izuku noticed my struggle and supported my lower back helping me sit up.
"No no no, please just please keep your clothes on, please. You know what. Don't do anything. Just say ah." I did as instructed, then closing my eyes I waited. I then felt the hard girthy metal spoon hit the back of my throat. The steamy creamy thick liquid soup fell into my mouth along the way. It was a bit salty with a hint of bitterness from medicine but it was delicious all the same.
Closing my lips I opened my eyes as Izuku slid the spoon out of my mouth with a bit of my saliva trailing off of the spoon. I swallowed the soup but choked on a small piece of meat which made some of the liquid in my mouth spill out onto my lip. "It's like you're a baby. You can't even eat properly now." He takes a napkin and wipes my face and pats me on the back as I finish swallowing the soup.
A bit of tear fell from my eyes as I said, "Not baby! I show." I opened my mouth, panting out hot air. I stuck out my tongue and pointed at it, begging for a chance to prove myself, "M-More… More."
Izuku blushes, "Okay you're not a baby. Don't stick out your tongue like that." Izuku takes another spoonful of soup and hesitantly puts it in my mouth.
I retracted my tongue as the spoon made its way inside. I closed my lips on the spoon, but when I felt Izuku move the spoon out of me, with both my hands I grabbed hold of his hand with the spoon. Next, I moved my head back and forth around the spoon. Licking it clean with my tongue as I slowly pulled it out of my mouth. Then letting go of his hand I grind the meat with my teeth, making sure to savor the flavor by gurgling it around my tongue for a moment before swallowing it deep down.
Feeling the thick warm liquid and small chunks of grinded meat slowly going from my mouth, through my throat, then into my stomach. Leaving no trail of drool on the spoon behind. I opened my mouth to show Izuku I had swallowed the soup without making a mess, like an adult.
"Mmm, Yummy," I was feeling thirsty and all I could focus on was the bowl of soup in Izuku's hand. "Want… More. Need… More," I whispered while panting. Everything blurred except for the thick liquid inside the bowl. My mind was empty with the only thing left being being able to drink his liquid again as I started breathing out heavier, and heavier.
"Okay, calm down… Here," Izuku scoops another spoonful of soup, but before he could take it out of the bowl I lowered my head towards the bowl of soup that was in Izuku's other hand near his lap. Using my left hand to hold onto Izuku's lap to steady myself and my right hand to part my hair so it doesn't get in the soup. I put my lips on the edge of the bowl. Then tilting the bowl with my mouth and closing my eyes I began slurping loudly until I was satisfied. "Akumi! What are you—" Izuku shifts the bowl a little bit which accidentally spills some of the soup onto my forehead. "Oh no! I'm sorry. I…"
I pushed myself back and felt the soup slowly drip down from my forehead to my nose then down to my lips which I then proceeded to lick with my tongue. Then I opened my eyes and saw that Izuku was bright red staring blankly at me. I touched his face and felt that he was also hot, "Are you sick too? Here, I feed you." I took the spoon out of Izuku's hand, scooped some soup out of the bowl, and brought it to his mouth, "Say Ah."
Izuku snaps back to reality, "What? No, I can't do thah—" Seeing an opening I shove the spoon into Izuku's mouth and I see him swallow the soup down his throat muscle. The movement was so smooth that I wanted to see it again.
I laughed. "See. All easy. Now, again." I put the spoon back into the bowl and then brought the spoon to Izuku's mouth again, "Say. Aaah."
Izuku grabs the spoon and puts it back in the bowl, "I-I don't think I can do this anymore! I'll call mom!"
"Noooo! Hungry! Want food now! Feed! You feed!" I got a bit upset as I was now throwing a fit when I saw Izuku stand up. "Want Nii-chan, feed me…! If big brother doesn't feed, big brother is sh*t brother!"
"Okay, okay! I'll feed you. Don't move around so much. I might spill the soup again," Izuku sits back down, wiping the soup off my face with a towel.
I snuffle my tears grabbing hold of his arm, "Wreally? Nii-chan won't leave? Big brother, not a**hole?"
"Yes, I won't go anywhere." He put the towel down on the table and placed a hand on my head making me smile. "Just, don't do that again and no more using bad words, ok?"
"Okay!" I purred cheerfully as I grabbed Izuku's hand, rubbing it against my cheeks.
This little play continued until I finished the bowl of soup. I lay back down on the bed, closing my eyes, satisfied as I said, "Thanks for the meal." I then fell back asleep only to be yet again awoken for more food. I was a bit grumpy but didn't put up much of a fight as a similar scene played out but this time instead of soup it was porridge and the one feeding me was Mrs. Midoriya.
Before laying back on the bed I asked, "Mommy, where's Nii-chan?"
"Nii-chan is training right now," she responded.
"I want Nii-chan here."
"I'm sorry but Nii-chan is super busy right now."
My eyes start to tear up as I pull my blanket closer to my face curling my legs, "But I want… See Nii-chan."
She smiles as she wipes my tears away, "You just have to wait. Nii-chan will be back very soon."
I snuffle my tears, "Big brother a liar. He said he no go if I say no bad word."
"Big brother needs to go to work cleaning up the beach. He'll come back home soon."
"How come big brother has work and me not. Big brother liar and a c*nt!"
"Akumi! No bad words. If you keep using bad words then big brother will never come home."
I cover myself with the blanket and yell, "I hope he never does! Big brother's a Motherf****n F***face Jacka** Tard!"
I don't remember much of what happened that day but the next day I was feeling a whole lot better. I wasn't sick anymore but now Izuku was. But this is my time to shine again. It's time to use my quirk now that I'm not restricted by the no quirk usage from Youta. Izuku can't be sick now he still has so much trash to clean up. But will my quirk even work? Won't know until I try.
I went into Izuku's room and used my quirk to absorb the so-called common cold out of Izuku and sent it away. Luckily the common cold didn't affect me before I sent it away. All that was left was to wait for Izuku to wake up and get back to training. And sure enough, Izuku was up and about like he wasn't sick at all.
How strange, my quirk should only be able to take the feeling away, not the actual problem. Mrs. Midoryia was very much against the idea of Izuku leaving since he was sick but eventually with a bit of convincing from both Izuku and me, Izuku was able to leave.
I followed Izuku and we met up with his coach and his training continued. For the entire day, just in case Izuku's feeling of sickness came back, I stuck around. Izuku did find out about my involvement in the absence of his sickness but it didn't stop me from following him. He was also a bit nervous being around me for some reason. I did try to ask what happened yesterday but Izuku and Mrs. Midoriya would not want to talk about it.
