After we left Izuku, Ida, and Todoroki, Aizawa, and I went to the UA building. I got scolded for almost sharing my secret with Ida and Todoroki and when we arrived I was shown the way to my dorm room. After that, I got my phone back from Aizawa and on my phone was the very location where Izuku fought the Hero Killer. I had time to get comfortable inside before moving on to whatever is next in store for me.
Inside the room were a bed, a table, and a chair. I wonder if I worked hard enough I could change this room to what my old room looked like. I sat on the chair and pulled out my phone. Since I had the time, "Might as well try to call mom..." I put in her number but it didn't go through. "What am I even doing…" I sighed. I was tired after all the crying I did. All I wanted to do now was take a quick nap. They wouldn't mind if I lay my head down on the table and just closed my eyes…
I reopen my eyes to see I'm not in the room anymore. I see an endless open grass field and a clear blue sky. I look at my hands and see they were my original body's hand. Then in front of me, the field splits into two.
The left side turned bright and started to grow a forest. While the right side ruined city buildings emerged from the ground. From the left I could see Akumi, she was nervous and a bit scared. On the right was… Me? Or more like It was an older version of Akumi? She had short black hair and a business suit on. She looked to be about my height and two sizes too, up here and down there. She had a look of worry on her face but quickly changed to a grin after she saw me. I look behind me and I see I'm still standing in the empty field. I looked back at them and they stared at me.
"You two are terrible for treating our body like this," said the person who looked like Akumi. Her voice was calm and collected. "If I had it my way we would never be in this situation."
"What?"
"Stop! The balance is already unstable," said Akumi. "Any more and we'll all disappear."
"Wait a moment." I stepped forward but was met with an invisible wall boarding the line between the forest and the city in front of me. "What balance is unstable? What is this place? How did I end up here? And lastly, who's that person," I point at the Akumi look-alike.
"We don't have time to communicate, Yuu," Akumi said.
"Why?!" I banged on the invisible wall.
"It's because your time is coming to an end," the person in the ruined city pointed at me. "It's almost my time to take over."
"We need to go back to them…" Akumi said as her bright forest turned dark and started to wither away.
"To who?" I questioned.
"I'm sorry… But you'll find out when the time comes… I'm sorry."
"When what comes?" The area started to crumble down. The ground beneath me split apart, swallowing me whole. In a matter of seconds, everything was gone. Only the same dark void surrounded me as I fell. I wonder how many times I've been here. What makes this place different from where I was before.
"Ah, this old place," I hear a voice as my fall comes to a halt. "I didn't get a chance to thank you for freeing me from that box. Akumi had her way, effectively removing me from control, but not this time."
"You're that other person, am I correct," I say looking around. It felt as though I was floating on air.
"Sorry, but you can't see me at the moment. The main body is currently busy at the moment."
"Why am I here," I demanded to know.
"I guess you were just unlucky. Everything will be revealed soon anyway so for now enjoy being the pilot of this body."
"Why? Tell me what happened to me fourteen years ago. Why am I in this world?"
"You should already know that I won't tell you. From the memory, you have about the stories you've read in your world. You need to wait a while longer before everything is explained. It'll ruin the story," I hear her laugh.
"How much longer do I have to wait?"
"Oh, not much longer. The next major event is coming up and we're going to be playing a major role."
"So I'm just a pawn in this metaphoric chess game."
"Pawn?" She laughed. "Of course. Pawn. When you reach the opposite side of the board I'll replace you as queen."
"If you said that fourteen years ago I might have played it off as a joke and forgotten about it. But now…" I raised a fist, "I've got people here to take care of now. So try and take over all you want because I'm not ready to give this body up. Not now, not ever!"
"Oh not even if I tempt you with returning to your old world."
I was hesitant. A strange feeling of sadness somewhere deeper inside of me than this other realm suddenly screams out to me. I clenched my chest with the hand that I raised and closed my eyes, "If you could do that you would have done it by now since you want me out of this body. And even if you offered, I have nothing left in that world to return to besides an endless cycle of corporate work."
"Oh… Now… Hmmm. I see I see that girl doesn't know what she is doing at all. So innocent… Tell me do you remember everything about your original world?"
A little shock went in my head telling me to remember something but nothing was coming through, "W-what do you mean?"
"You know exactly what I mean," she mocked. "You forgot your own name along with the memory of that special person from your world."
I clutch my head, "My name…? My name is Yuu. I have no one left in that world." This sense of something I'm forgetting is just about to emerge was frustrating.
"Poor Yuu. I won't tell you the answer but at least I'm not willing to lie to you. After all, I am you. I know more things about you than you do yourself. I am also Akumi and I know everything that has happened to her."
I shake my head, "So what if she lied! I still trust her more than I do you. You're the one who took over and tried to kill Todoroki."
"Blaming me when it was you who wanted to beat him up just to prove that you could…" The woman suddenly appeared up close face to face with mine. "An accidental death would be the easiest way to end his suffering."
"W-who are you?" I stared into her and her eyes were red, unlike mine or Akumi. "And what are you planning?"
She pulls back and somehow I hear footsteps as she takes a few steps back in this void, "I've been imbued with attributes from both you and Akumi because of the entrapment so I'm not myself anymore. But to put it in terms you can understand, think of me as a villain version of you."
"Why… I don't understand. Why do you choose to be a villain?"
A tall man appeared from behind her. The top half of his face was distorted and masked with mist showing only his mouth. He put a hand on her shoulder and whispered something in her ear, she then says, "Because… This is All For One's purpose."
They both suddenly disappeared and I couldn't move my body. I could feel something was wrapped around my entire body. I felt like I was laying on the cement ground. "She finally fell asleep," I heard Midnight.
"That was dangerous. Eraser head you said she was in control," I hear Cementoss.
"I left her alone for a moment. That must be when she lost control," I hear Eraserhead.
"We were lucky most of the students aren't here right now," I hear Ectoplasm.
"Her instability is more dangerous than we thought," said Snipe. "She even gave All Might a hard time."
All Might is here?! Why are all these teachers here? Where am I? What was I doing? "Her strength was weaker than the nomu I fought," I hear All Might. "But as the fight went on even when Eraserhead erased her quirk she was still strong and somehow growing stronger by the moment."
"Does that mean she is a nomu? It'd be hard to believe she was that strong without a quirk," said Midnight.
"Everyone, focus! She's moving again," shouted Eraserhead. I then hear all of them move.
I don't know how to respond to that so I don't do anything. "You sure she moved," I hear the unease in Midnight.
"No doubt about it. Be careful when approaching her."
It was silent for a moment and then I smelt a pleasant aroma in the air. Was this Midnight's quirk? It probably was since I was getting sleepy again. Slowly starting to relax my body I fell unconscious again.
I woke up again. This time I was in a white room. I had a straight jacket on. Sitting on a chair I can see a camera pointed towards me. I felt a bit disappointed in myself for being in this situation. "Hello!" I shouted. "Anyone there!"
A click echoed in the room then I heard a voice, "So are you the one who knows of a future. Or are you the one who causes trouble for no reason?"
"Uh…? I guess I'm the one who knows the future." I said and waited but there was no response back. Then I hear machine noises and the white wall in front of me slides open from the center. A man wearing glasses and a business suit walks in as the walls slide shut again.
"Hello. You might already know me. I'm Mirai Sasaki. Or maybe you might know me as Sir Nighteye." We locked eyes with each other.
"There were multiple futures I could see in you. And yet the future you speak of is missing."
I blink, "Excuse me?"
"Eraserhead do you mind," the man says as he looks towards the right wall of the white room. "Ok now, let's see…" The man's eye changed to purple and the pupil started spinning, "No change… Interest."
"Thank you…?" I smiled.
"So tell me. What future do you know again?"
"I'm sorry but… who are you?"
"For all the future I've seen for you. I have yet to see you in them. Why is it that you are not in your own future? Even the people around you act as though you don't exist."
"Huh?" I don't know who this person is and he's been speaking about the future? Does he have a future sight quirk or something?
"I'll repeat myself one last time since I was informed you might have some cognitive issues after returning from your recovery stage. So please try to listen well. I'm Sir Nighteye. I want to know why I can't see you in the future and what future you know."
I don't get it but if Aizawa Sensei is watching over us then it should be fine answering him a little bit. "Well… Regarding not being able to see me in the future I don't know. It might be because I'm not from this world. But the future I know is where my brother, Izuku Midoriya, will become the next number one hero."
"Is there anything else?"
I take a deep breath in and out, "I had a talk inside myself and there's going to be another major event and I might be the cause of it."
"How so," Nighteye asked.
"Some new information. Not only is the original Akumi active inside of this body and listening, so is another person."
"Not two but three people sharing the same body. That might explain the multiple futures. Can you switch places with them? I would like to converse with one of them if possible."
"If I could I wouldn't do it."
"Why?"
"I don't want to give control to them."
"To who? The original or this new person."
I raised my voice, "Neither of them! I don't want either of them to be in control of this body!" I put my head down not knowing what else to do. "If I do, I don't know if I can come back.
"If you're not willing to switch with them I'll take my leave." Nighteye walks back and the wall slides open again, "I hope next time I'll get to meet your other two consciousnesses." He walks out of the room and the wall closes.
I stayed silent. I couldn't do much anymore besides sitting on the chair I was bound to. How long would I be here I wonder? It didn't take long to answer that question because the straight jacket suddenly came undone.
The click sound returned and I heard Azawai say, "We've left you alone for ten minutes and you're still you. You've earned enough trust to be allowed to move again."
I didn't say anything and kept my head to the ground as I sat on the chair. I don't even trust this body to move anymore. I'm a bit scared even. I don't know what would happen if I did.
After who knows how long my eyes eventually became heavy as I tried to keep it open. A nice aroma fills the air as the locks on the straight jacked locks me in place to the chair again. I tried my hardest to keep awake but without the usage of my quirk, I won't be able to fight the sleep-inducing aroma. I pray that nothing goes wrong when I wake up as I fell asleep for the third time this day.
