Sorry I took a while with this. A lot of things have been happening and I'm just trying to figure out my life right now lol. Hope you all like this chapter!

"AANGY!" They called out to him again. Suki scrambled up from the floor, dashing towards him only to fall face down to the floor. Aang winced at her blunder and helped her up to her feet.

"Owwww that hurt", Suki groaned and rubbed her forehead.

"Are you okay?" Aang asked with a concerned tone.

"I-I fine", Suki giggled and wrapped her arms around his head, "Is my little brother worried about me?" She squealed and tightened her hold on Aang.

"Um Suki can you let go of me?" Aang asked as he tried to push her away from him. He didn't mind the hug, but her breath reeked of alcohol.

"Hmmmm…Nope!" She answered and then dragged him to where the others sat. When they arrived at the little circle, Suki sat down as she kept her hold on the air bender. Aang positioned himself to Suki's left side which was rather difficult with her holding his head. He finally managed to pull himself from her grasp and looked to the others.

"What were you guys doing while I was gone?"

"Toph *burrrrrp* swiped some sake for us" Sokka explained belligerently. Toph pulled the now empty glass liter from her side and proudly showed it off to Aang.

"You all drank the whole bottle?" Aang asked, flabbergasted. They all cheered in response. To his right, Katara sat next him.

"You too Katara?"

"Toph called me a party pooper!" Katara defended herself and grabbed a hold of Aang's robe, "I am not a party pooper!"

Aang put his hands up in surrender, "Okay! Okay! I understand."

"If you had gotten here sooner then maybe you could have drunk with us", Zuko spoke up with a belligerent tone.

"Either way I'm too tired to drink. I—"

"And what exactly were you too tired from?!" Sokka blasted, "Getting naughty with your new girlfriend?"

"No! Of course not", Aang protested, "You saw how much I was dancing out there. And Kano isn't my girlfriend!"

"Not yet" Toph blabbered, "Bet you can't wait to jump in the sack with her"

"That's it! I think it is time you all went to sleep!" Aang stated. In response they all booed him.

"So now that Sugar Queen isn't being a party pooper, you're going to be one?"

"You're all drunk out of your minds. Someone needs to take charg—"

"Party Pooper! Party Pooper! Party Pooper!" Toph, Sokka, and Zuko cried out.

"Stop it" Suki exclaimed and grabbed Aang once more. She brought his head back down to her shoulder and began patting his head, "Leave him alone! Aangy is sensitive."

"You're not helping Suki", Aang said with an irritating tone. Katara then pulled him from Suki and wrapped her arms around his torso.

"Hey!" Suki cried out.

"Mine!" Katara growled.

"Not you too Katara", Aang groaned. Suki quickly took hold of Aang's right leg and tried to pull him back to her from Katara.

"TUG OF WAR!" Toph yelled and grabbed Aang's left leg. The water bender lost her grip of his chest and held on to his right arm.

"Girls stop!" Aang turned to the other boys, "Sokka, Zuko help me!"

Instead Sokka crawled to his sister's side and held on to Aang's arm, "WATER TRIBE!" Aang looked to Zuko, his only hope. Gray eyes met with golden dazed eyes. Zuko moved towards him, the air bender believed that he had gotten through to his friend.

"Must…r-regain my…honor…c-capture avatar…" Zuko muttered and pulled at Aang's left arm.

'Oh for spirits sake!' Aang felt his body being stretched to its limit as they all stood up and tugged his body. Suki pulling his right leg while Toph pulled his left. Sokka and Katara pulling his right arm with their combined strength while Zuko pulled his left arm.

"LET GO OF MY AANGY!" Suki yelled.

"YOU FIRST FAN GIRL!" Toph responded.

"ME AND KATARA KNEW HIM LONGER!" Sokka countered.

"YEAH! WE KNEW HIM LONGER THAN ANY OF YOU!" Katara followed after.

"FOR MY HONOR!" Zuko roared.

"Y-y-you guyssss" Aang groaned in pain. He had enough of this and figured he had to find his own way out of this. He had no choice other than to use force. He twisted his hands towards those who held his arms and began inhaling air. In one swoop Aang blasted Katara, Sokka, and Zuko. Then he blew away Suki and Toph with the air he inhaled. His body dropped down to the ground after they all lost their grip on him.

"Owwwwwww" Aang moaned and rubbed the back of his head. The rest laid on the ground and groaned in pain from the force of impact. The quick movement began to give everyone but Aang a sick feeling in their stomachs. The feeling eventually subsided and they all crawled their way back to the air bender. As soon as they reached him, Aang sat up.

"I need to change out of my fancy robes" He stood up and walked to the hallway. He took one last glance at his friends before entering the hallway, "No fighting while I'm gone"

"Okay Momma Twinkle Toes", Toph replied. Her comment making the others laugh. Aang rolled his eyes and went on to his room. It only took him twenty minutes to take off his fancy robes and put on loose yellow pants and a red short-sleeve shirt that was given to him by Suki from one of her shopping trips with the Kyoshi Warriors. By the time he arrived back at the living room where his friends still lazed around on the floor. Toph and Sokka were dead asleep while Zuko kept his drunken gaze on the ceiling. He seemed to have been contemplating something in his mind from what Aang could tell. Katara and Suki sat in front of each other and began clapping the other's hand while terribly singing 'Secret Tunnel'.

Aang decided right there to take them to their bedrooms. The sooner they all went to sleep, the sooner he could get his sleep. He crouched down and picked up Toph. As he walked back into the hallway, Toph began stirring in his arms.

"T-twinkle toesssss…whasss going on?"

"I'm just taking you to bed. Go back to sleep Toph", Aang answered softly. Toph fought to keep her sightless eyes open.

"D-d-don't tell meeee what to dooo…I'll kick yourrrr-" Before she could finish Toph dozed off once more and began her Appa-like snoring. Aang chuckled at the sight. After reaching her room, he laid her to rest on her mattress and threw her blanket over her body.

Back in the living room, the others stayed where they were with no changes to their behaviors. The air bender wordlessly held Sokka up from under his arms and started dragging him through the hallway.

"I'll take all the meeeeat", Sokka mumbled.

'Katara is right. All he thinks about is meat when he isn't thinking about Suki', Aang thought to himself. After reaching Sokka's room, Aang began to pull him up higher to lay him on to his bed but stopped midway when he remembered the stunt Sokka pulled at the party with King Kuei. He dropped the water tribe boy from his arms. Sokka grunted but showed no sign of waking up from his slumber. Aang could have just left him on the floor, but he felt like he should do something to get back at Sokka for what he did.

Aang turned to the Sokka's night desk and opened the first cupboard drawer. He rummaged through until he found a letter brush and black ink. He knelt down as he coated the brush with the ink and began drawing on Sokka's face. Above Sokka's lips, Aang drew a mustache with each end extended to his cheeks in a swirly fashion. On his forehead, Aang drew out the symbol for "Idiot". After he was done, Aang stood up and admired the work he had done to Sokka's face. For now this would suffice. Aang snickered and left Sokka sleeping on the floor.

Going back to the living room for the third time, he found the girls still at it with their game while Zuko let out a loud yawn. Deciding that he didn't want to have to completely carry Zuko to his room, Aang opted to help him stand on his feet.

"Come on Zuko", Aang said as he pulled the fire bender to a sitting position, "time for you to go to bed."

"Fineeeeee", Zuko mumbled and let Aang pull him up to his feet. Once Zuko stood up, he began to stumble so Aang swiped his arm over his shoulder. On the trek to the bedroom Zuko had been silent. The air bender didn't think much of his friend's silence as they walked together. After reaching the room, Aang let Zuko down the bed where he sat and stared down at the floor.

"Good night buddy" Aang said and turned towards the door until he began to hear a whimpering sound coming from behind him. He turned back to see tears running down Zuko's cheeks.

"Zuko! What's wrong?" Aang inquired and placed his hands over his friend's shoulder.

Zuko's face fell into his hands and he began crying on to his palms.

"Why are you crying? Do you feel sick?" Aang questioned again, feeling overwhelmingly concerned.

"I-I-I screwed-dd-d up so much" Zuko stammered, "I can't believe h-howwww much I hurrr-t Mai…I've bee-n terrible to her"

Aang sat next to Zuko on the bed and put his arm over Zuko's shoulder, "Hey hey…everything will be alright Zuko. I'm sure you can work things out with Mai."

"No I can't!" Zuko wailed, "Mai hates me"

"That isn't true" Aang tried to reassure him, "I don't believe that Mai could ever hate you." He remembered his last conversation with Mai. Even then she admitted that she still loved Zuko despite what happened.

Finally, Zuko lifted his face from his palms and looked to Aang with red teary eyes, "Well she's made it clear that she doesn't care and that was before she told me that she wanted to be with you!"

"Hold up! She said what?!" Aang responded, feeling absolutely befuddled.

"She said that lately you've been on her mind", Zuko sniffled. Aang held back a loaded sigh as he remembered Mai's suggestion of "Poetic Justice". He couldn't believe that she would actually go through with it even after he informed her that he didn't want to be used to hurt Zuko.

"Listen Zuko…There will never be anything between me and Mai" Aang thought about what he was going to say next. He wasn't sure if Mai would have wanted him to tell Zuko about their last conversation but seeing as she dragged him into their mess then he felt that there was no other choice. "You should know something…after we kissed, Mai told me that she didn't feel anything…not like she did with you."

"S-she really said that?"

Aang nodded, "Totally!"

"Thanks for telling me" Zuko sniffed, "You're a good friend Aang…unlike me"

"Ah don't be like that Zuko. You're one of my best friends." Aang reassured him with a lopsided grin.

Zuko looked away as a sense of shame washed over him, "How could you say that? After I…after I took Katara from you"

The grin that Aang held instantly fell as he sat there. The memory of Zuko and Katara together flooded his mind once more and he felt the center of his chest splitting. Aang pulled his arm back from Zuko's shoulder and shook his head to wipe away the painful memory.

"Zuko…what's happened has happened and—"

"That doesn't make what I did okay!" Zuko cried out and turned back to him. Fresh tears rolled down his face as he continued, "I knew how you felt about Katara. I-I saw how much you loved her and I…"

He buried his face into his hands again, "I'm sorry Aang. I'm so sorry…I don't deserve your friendship."

"It's fine Zuko. Just forget about it already, okay?" Aang stood up and gave Zuko a small smile, "Don't give up on Mai either you hear me? Call it Avatar wisdom, but I have a feeling you'll find your way back into Mai's heart. Now get some sleep."

With that, Aang closed the bedroom door behind him as he walked out. He leaned back on the wall and let out the deep sigh he held back. He could hear the faint sounds of Zuko crying once more. The alcohol clearly making him more emotional than expected. Aang could tell that his friend clearly felt guilty over what happened with Katara, but he couldn't deal with that. He would rather not think about it at all.

"I'm too tired to deal with this."

Suki and Katara looked to be done playing their game when Aang arrived at the living room. The girls sat next to one another on the floor with Suki's head resting on Katara's shoulder. Once Aang kneeled before the two of them, Katara gave him a soft smile that warmed his heart.

"Take Suki first. She's practically passed out" Katara suggested. Aang nodded and picked up the Kyoshi warrior in his arms. On the way to her room, Suki squinted her eyes open and gazed up to Aang.

"Aangy?"

"It's just Aang Suki. You know that"

Suki lightly punched his shoulder, "I don't care. You're Aangy to me"

"Ugh", Aang sighed, "Fine, but only you can call me that. I don't want to hear it from anybody else."

"Deal", Suki giggled and rested her head on his shoulder, "Aang?"

"What happened to 'Aangy'?" Aang chuckled.

"Oh shut it. I'm your sisterrrrr…I get to call you whatever I want Mister", she retorted.

"Fine. So what were you going to say?"

"S-Sokka shouldn't have done what he did…I'm sorry if he made you and Kano feel uncomfortable."

"Don't be sorry Suki. It isn't your fault your boyfriend doesn't think before he acts" Aang replied.

"He doesn't. He's a big…stinky dummy poopoo head", Suki mumbled. Her drunken insults making the air bender laugh. He pushed her bedroom door open with his foot and entered the room. He set Suki down to her bed and pulled the covers over her. Before he could step out of the bedroom, Suki called out to him.

"Aangy?"

"Yes Suki?" He turned back to her.

"Thanks for taking care of us" Suki smiled.

"You're welcome" He knelt down on the bed and gave her a quick peck on top of her head, "Good night Sis."

"Good night Aangy"

"And then there was one" Aang remarked as he met Katara once more in the living room.

"Yup", Katara giggled.

Aang had kneeled down to pick her up, but was pushed away.

"I'm— I'm fine. I don't need you to carry me" Katara said.

"It isn't a problem for me Katara." Aang insisted.

"No no. I can stand up and walk" Katara resisted and pushed herself on to her feet. Her movements were wobbly but she managed to stand up on her two feet.

"See! I told you" Katara proudly stated.

Aang stood up and looked to her with a raised eyebrow, "Okay. Start walking to your room then."

Katara looked to the hallway then down to her feet and finally turned back to Aang. "You know…I think I would rather sleep here in the living room. The couch isn't so bad."

Aang pinched the bridge of his nose.

"I'm not letting you sleep on the couch Katara." He turned his back to her and bent his knees forward. "Jump on my back. I'm carrying you to your room."

She happily hopped on to his back and wrapped her legs around his waist and her arms around his neck. She held on to him as if her life depending on it, squeezing him with all of her drunken strength.

"K-Katara…too t—tight", Aang squeaked. 'Water tribe girls are ridiculously strong.'

"Sorry", Katara cooed into his left ear. She loosened her grip and held on. For a moment, the two of them were quiet as Aang strolled into the hallway until Katara spoke up.

"Your head is soooooo…really smooth", She said as she rubbed the top of Aang's head.

"Well I shave it every other day", Aang chuckled.

"I wonder if it can be shiny too"

"Maybe after I take a shower or put some lotion on it will loo—"

Ptoo

Aang felt a wet drop on the back of his head and then Katara's hand as she rubbed the spot where the spit landed. Her actions making Aang stop in his track.

'Did…did she just spit on my head?'

"Now it looks really shiny" Katara giggled. Aang began walking again, only this time at a faster pace. The sooner he dropped her off then the sooner he could wash the back of his head and go to sleep. They finally walked into Katara's room much to his delight. He couldn't wait to jump into his own bed.

"Alright Katara. Here is your stop" Aang stated and turned his back to the bed so that Katara could drop down on to it. She unwrapped her legs from his waist and slowly slid down to her mattress but moved her arms from Aang's neck down to his waist.

"You can let go of me Katara. You're already sitting on your bed."

The water bender only pressed her face towards his lower back and shook her head, "I don't wanna."

"I need to go to my room and sleep", Aang said feeling annoyed and too tired to pry her arms off him.

"Then…maybe yo—GACK!" Katara immediately covered her mouth, pushed Aang away and made a dash for the restroom. She burst through the door, dropped down and leaned over the latrine. She began retching into the latrine until she finally threw up. Aang ran right in behind her as soon as he heard her barfing into the latrine hole. He leaned over her body and pulled her hair back. Katara continued to retch and cough as she emptied the contents of her stomach.

"Ohhhh Spirits. This is— HUAAHHHHHHHH"

Aang cringed as Katara continued making the most unholy of sounds. She pulled her head back after barfing for the second time and tried to catch her breath.

"Inhale with your nose and exhale with your mouth. Inhale then exhale", Aang soothed as he rubbed her back. She followed his instructions and felt her stomach settling within her. Aang moved to her left side as she leaned back and groaned.

"Are you okay?" Aang asked with a concerned tone. She turned to him with a dazed look.

"Um yeah. I think so", without thinking, Katara rested her head on his shoulder. "Thanks for pulling my hair back. I would have hated to get vomit on it."

"You're welcome" Aang smiled, "Think you can walk to your room?"

"Yeah, but not now. I don't feel like moving", Katara responded and closed her eyes. To her, Aang smelled like fresh mountain air, and she wanted to inhale as much of it as she could. Aang secretly hoped that she wouldn't be able to tell how much her close proximity was affecting his heart rate. Her hair smelled like jasmine flowers and the scent was intoxicating. They stayed in that position for what felt like an eternity for the both of them. The water bender feeling content while the air bender tried to remain calm. Finally, Aang pulled Katara back to her feet and dragged her back to her bedroom. Katara flopped on to her bed while Aang went into the kitchen to grab a cup of water. He quickly came back with a full cup and handed it off to the drunk water bender.

"Try not to drink too much in one go or you'll need to throw up again. Take small sips."

Katara nodded her head and took her sip of water. After that ordeal in the restroom, she felt tired and became somewhat drowsy.

"You should be good for now. I'll see you in the morning" Aang turned towards the doorway and took a step forward until he felt his shirt being tugged back. Before he could react, Katara pulled him down to her mattress.

"Oof! Katara what are you doing?" Aang demanded. He tried to get up but was pinned down as Katara straddled on his top of him. Instead of answering him, she wrapped her arms around his neck once more and rested her head on the crook of Aang's neck.

"Katara!"

"Don't go", Katara spoke with a muffled voice, "Stay with me."

"Katara it's past time for us to sleep. I need to go to my room." Aang gripped her shoulders, trying to push her off him.

"S-sleep here with me"

Aang's eyes widened at her suggestion. "I don't think that is a good idea."

"I don't want you to leave me again"

Her words surprised him. Why did she say that? Did she think that he was going to fly off on Appa again?

"I can't lose you again Aang. I won't!" Katara declared as she pulled her head back. "I was blind back then, but I'm not anymore!"

"What are you talking about?" Aang asked. Although at that moment he wished that he hadn't. He wasn't sure if he even wanted to hear the answer. Katara slowly cupped his face. The need for sleep steadily creeping through her.

"I'm talking about how I feel about you Aang", Katara lazily smiled with half lid eyes, "I refuse to hold myself back anymore."

She was drunk. Katara was really drunk. She couldn't be saying what Aang thought she was saying. It was impossible. Her face inched closer to his and he was frozen. Just as he was in the backyard the day Katara and Sokka arrived in Ba Sing Se.

"Aang…I love you"

For the first time, Katara pressed her lips against Aang's and kissed him. The kiss lasted for only a few seconds until Katara's lip slid away as her head fell back to the crook of Aang's neck. She had finally succumbed to a drunken slumber while the air bender remained under her in complete shock.

Hope you liked this chapter of the drunk Gaang. I feel like this might not have been my best chapter but it is what it is. Please leave a review and let me know what you thought. They keep me motivated to write more. Might get started on a different story but that is yet to be seen.

Until then, Happy Holidays everyone!
