"Hahaha! Look at how much money we stole!" A man takes off his mask and tosses a stack of ten thousand yen from a bag to another man.
"With all the heroes going to the big cities, small banks like these are easy pickings." The other man catches the stack of yen and gives it a good sniff. "This is the real deal alright."
"So where do you think we should hit next," The first man said. Noticing a green-haired kid glaring at them he then said, "What do you want kid? Got a death wish."
The kid starts muttering to himself. The second man takes a look and recognizes the kid as Izuku Midoryia from the U.A. Sports Festival. "Oh Look what we have here. A big shot has come to catch us," the second man mocks.
"You know this kid?"
"Who wouldn't?" The second man scoffs, "He's the brother twin from the U.A. Sports Festival. But there is something he's even more well-known for now. Another lab rat Nomu created by the League of Villains."
Izuku stops muttering and asks a question. "Are you working with the League of Villains?"
"What if I said we were?" The second man walked over to Izuku with a hand behind his back.
The first man feeling that something was off said, "Hey man, I don't think going after a kid is worth it." With one blow the second man goes flying. Knowing he's outmatched, the first man decided to flee. Using his extendable arms, the man reels himself up to the roof of a building.
Izuku, not missing a beat jumps after the man. Seeing that the man was about to reach out to another building, Izuku flicked his index finger at 10%. The air blast was just enough to make the man miss the ledge of the building the hand was reaching for.
The man then chose to jump down from the building. Izuku, however, easily grabs hold of the man's wrist before he can make it too far down and slams the man back onto the roof. Then pinning the man, Izuku asks again, "Are you working with the League of Villains."
The man shouts, "No, I'm not! I don't even know what that is! If anything my friend you knocked out knows more than I do! It was his idea to rob the bank. I just tagged along!"
"I see… Have you seen a vigilante girl with pink hair around here?"
"A pink-haired vigilante girl? Yes, I've heard of her. Rumors started to pop up but she disappeared about two weeks ago. That's all I know I swear!"
"If that's all you know I guess I'll be turning you in along with your friends to the police now."
"Wait–" The man tried to say something but was knocked out by Izuku with one swift chop.
"Where could she be?" Izuku looks off into the silent town.
"The League wouldn't be making any big moves for a while." A vestige of Yumi appears next to Izuku.
"I understand that, but Maeko is one of those variables that can have an impact on the future Akumi saw. Her disappearance now is highly suspicious and concerning."
"I don't think you should be doing this Midoriya," All Might's vestige comes out to talk. "You shouldn't be wearing yourself out when the license exam is so close."
"I disagree." The second user emerges. "It's too quiet. Two key figures had just fallen and yet the chaos that was just beginning somehow ended before it could even start. Something about it doesn't seem right."
"Count ourselves lucky for now. Only having to deal with low-level thieves like these." The fifth user formed next to the other vestiges. "Why didn't you use my quirk? It would have made capturing and questioning a lot easier."
"People will use that against me to prove that I'm a Nomu if I show that I can use more than one quirk," Izuku said, looking down at his hand. "So unless I have to, I won't be using multiple quirks in public for now."
"It's idiotic to care about your public image, but as long as you get something done. Using my quirk now wouldn't benefit you anyway," the second user said before disappearing.
"You seem to be using my quirk all the time," the fourth user appears.
"Your quirk isn't visually perceivable so it's not a problem if I use it. It also doesn't seem like I could just turn it off," Izuku laughs it off. Izuku's then phone starts to ring. Taking it out, it was a call from Aizawa. Izuku answers the phone.
Before Izuku could say anything, Aizawa said, "I shouldn't have to say this to you."
"If Youta gets special permission to do this then so should I," Izuku immediately responded.
"Okazaki has an entire organization, some in high positions in the government. You have nine ghosts, seven of them being people who no one even knows about. Besides, you're not the one in the class to receive special permission to act outside." Aizawa gives a long sigh, "Just come back to U.A. you're already under too much suspicion. Having you out there now is just asking for trouble. You'd be lucky to make it to the license exam at this rate."
"Alright, I'll come back after turning these villains in." Izuku hangs up the phone looking back at the pile of unconscious bodies of villains that he fought scattered throughout the rooftops of the buildings. "This is going to take a while."
Waiting outside class 1A's dorm, Aizawa sits on a bench. Izuku eventually arrived as the sun was already setting. "Your late Izuku Midoriya."
With a smile, Izuku says, "Sorry Aizawa Sensei, gathering up all those villains took a bit longer than expected."
"That's not the point. Your actions are causing them more worry." Aizawa points his thumb back toward the Dorm building. "They want to talk with you. You know that right?"
"Don't you think it's about time we tell all of them?"
"I'm starting to think all this secrecy is to start to divide us too. And as much as I would love to tell them myself we can't just yet."
"Then When! My sister kept secrets and look where she's at now. I understand that going public with All For One and One For All may make our lives harder, but if at least they know who they're going up against it would better prepare us for the upcoming fights! What's the harm in them knowing?"
"The more people who know means there will be more people you must protect." Aizawa got up with an aura of seriousness. "If they knew it would mean there will be villains targeting not only them to get to you but people they love to get to them to get to you." Aizawa walks before Izuku and asks, "Do you think you can handle the weight if anything were to happen to them or their loved one."
Izuku lowers his head, "I guess you're right. As I am now I can't do that." He clenches his hands in frustration.
Aizawa placed a hand on Izuku's shoulder and said, "I never said we can never tell them. It's just not the right time." Walking behind Izuku and giving a hard pat on the back, Aizawa states, "You'll know when it's the right time to say it. Now get inside it's past curfew."
Izuku felt a little less frustrated as he said, "Thank you, Aizawa Sensei."
"It's my job," Aizawa said as he walked away.
Izuku then enters the dorm building. Ida, Kirishima, Todoroki, and Yaoyorozu sit waiting on the couch. The others excluding Bakugo are standing a bit away from them. Everyone looks over to Izuku as he approaches the group by the couch.
Ida speaks first, "Now that Izuku is here I guess we can start talking about 'IT' now."
"What's happened while I was out?" Izuku asked.
"Everyone knows that you five including Bakugo know something is going on," Ashido replied. "With what happened to Shimizu, it's making the rest of us unnerved lately. We all want to know what's going on."
"It's not that we don't want to tell you it's that we can't," Ida said in response. "It's hard for us as well. At first, it seemed unreasonable as to why we should keep it a secret but it's better like this."
"I heard it's the same for class 1B as well," Tokoyami said. "All this because of what happened to All Might. I still stand by my choice of not going to rescue Bakugo. But the ones who did go know more about the situation than us who didn't."
"And we're not talking about fairness. It's just that you five don't seem like yourself anymore," Ojiro said. "I don't know if you think less of us but if us being there could have prevented All Might's death then no one could have predicted that outcome."
"None of us think less of you guys for not going," Todoroki said. "I think I speak for all of us that if more of us had gone then it would have been worse for All Might."
"Izuku is the one who knows the most about the situation. Back during the Hosu incident we all felt something off with you but brushed it off because we all understood what it's like being attacked by villains," Kaminari states. "But this is different."
"Would you guys believe me if I said my sister isn't from this world," Izuku said. This catches everyone's attention.
"What do you mean by that," Yaoyorozu asked.
Izuku looked at everyone and then smiled downwards, "This is the one piece of information I wasn't told to not tell. Because it is so unbelievable."
"If it's something you can share we don't care how unbelievable it is," Tsuyu spoke up. "As her friends, we also want to help her."
"You all should already know Akumi isn't my biological sister. No one can confirm this but she isn't from our world. She knows a lot more than us because of that fact. That body she's in isn't even her's."
"Then who is she? Is Akumi even her real name? Is she a villain all along?" Aoyama asked nervously.
"The body is. My sister is not." Izuku clasps his hands together. "The last thing I can share is that she's much older than all of us."
"Are you sure that's everything you can share with us," Uraraka asked. "No other loopholes you can think of. Come on there has to be more. What are we supposed to understand with this information that doesn't tell us anything about the current situation?"
Izuku responded with, "That's right, I guess you guys who don't already know something wouldn't be able to connect the dots as easily as Kacchan and Youta with this story. She is the reason why everything happened the way it did."
"You're not implying what I think you're implying, right," Ida spoke.
"All Might's death was because of Akumi." Everything went silent for just a moment when Izuku finished his sentence. "There is much more I wish I could share but–"
Kirishima interrupts Izuku, "Why did you have to phrase it like that?! We know that what happened wasn't Akumi's fault!"
"Then how else do you think we should explain it to them!" Izuku shouts back pointing to Kirishima and then to the group who doesn't know. "You have nothing you can tell them. None of you but me have anything at all we can share without getting in trouble. If they at least know the truth about my sister then maybe they can come to a conclusion by themselves without having us to directly tell them."
"Then why go about it in such a roundabout way then," Kirishima argues back. "Why don't you tell us, the people who you're allowed to tell, what you know before going and trying to take on everything by yourself?!"
"Because none of you have a way of bringing her back! It'd be a waste of time if I were to explain."
"That's Enough!" Ida stands up. "It's getting late. The hero license exam is almost here. This should be enough to quell everyone's questions. I will not take any rebuttal to this decree! We'll convene again after the exam if there are still any lingering concerns."
The moment anyone tried to refute Ida he would immediately shut them down with a cold stare. His standing as class president had helped this intimidation tactic to work. With Yaoyorozu, the class vice president, not speaking a word no one else felt like they had the right to challenge him. Ida's words have successfully convinced everyone to stop as one by one they all start to leave with their thoughts of the situation.
Aoyama: They have so many similarities to my situation. It feels like my heart is falling apart. Should I tell them about it? If I tell Izuku I'm sure he'd understand. There are still so many things at risk even when the fighting is over.
Ashido: Was it all Akumi's fault? Why are they keeping things a secret? Hopefully, things don't get any worse between us. There is no time to worry about this since the hero license exam is so close. It's all just so frustrating.
Tsuyu: I hate it when friends fight. It hurts to not know but it hurts even more if we argue about it. Would Akumi really let All Might die? It just doesn't seem like her at all. But if I take Izuku's word then she did. I hate that I'm only doubting a friend because I don't know the full picture.
Ida: It would be more believable if he said it was someone's quirk that made her do what she did. But who could have thought she was from another world entirely? This, however, doesn't change what we must do as heroes. I hope everyone can understand. I too wish that everyone in class knew.
Uraraka: There must be something I could do. If I want to know more I must find out for myself. But what can I even do? Izuku is trying his best to hint at something, now we just need to figure it out.
Ojiro: If Akumi wanted All Might to die, the USJ incident would have been the best moment from what I heard. Was she waiting for this moment to divide the class? Can we even believe that she is really who she is? Or is this all part of a bigger plan that she thought of that none of us know?
Kaminari: The information makes me feel like when I exceed my wattage limit. Is Akumi an ally or an enemy? If I had gone with them to save Bakugo maybe I wouldn't be feeling this way. But I made my choice and I have to live with it. Hopefully, things won't get any worse.
Kirishima: Why would Izuku make a villain out of his sister? I want to tell everyone everything but what will happen if I do? We're all going to be heroes so why can't we all know? I'll keep my mouth shut for now for Izuku's sake. He is the one who has it worse out of all of us. It's the least I can do.
Koda: I want to know more but I can't seem to voice out my opinion. I don't know what I could do. Everyone seems to be on high alert and it makes me feel uneasy. Why couldn't we just talk it out without it becoming an argument?
Sato: It sucks that only those five know what's going on. They must have a harder time keeping it a secret than us wanting to know. Especially Izuku. Maybe I should cook some sweets for everyone to calm down.
Shoji: What difference does it make if we know or not? Of course, I want to know but if knowing means bringing trouble for my friends I would rather just live with not knowing. Unfortunately, some of us want to know more than others. If I had to pick a side I would want to be on the side who wants to know. Even if that means trouble.
Jiro: It was a very stressful situation for everyone. Even more so since not all of us have fully processed that All Might had died. The hero license exam doesn't help either. This is just part of being a hero I guess. What did Izuku mean by we don't have any way of bringing Akumi back?
Sero: I didn't expect things to go the way they did. I was hoping we could solve the issue that was dividing the class but it seems to be a lot more complicated than at first glance. I'm glad that the worst that Akumi did to me was blind me temporarily.
Tokoyami: There must be something we can do to get Akumi back. If only I knew more. There has to be something they haven't noticed about the quirk. It seems like Izuku is hiding secrets from the four of them who he can talk to. So many things are happening with so little time to deal with them.
Todoroki: That was different from what we were told before. I guess there are more things I don't know. Maybe I should take a page from his book and use my connection to get more information. Although with my relationships and the timing it couldn't be a worse time to do so. For now, let's just focus on the hero license exam. After all, Aizawa did warn us that knowing would distract us from being a hero. I hope none of us got too distracted.
Hagakure: So what if Akumi is from another world? It doesn't make any difference. She is still our friend. Nothing has changed in that aspect. It sucks that I can't do more. There is just too little information to work off of.
Mineta: Another world exists? It's not confirmed yet but that's a huge discovery. What else are they not sharing with us? Although if I had to be serious for a moment, I don't get what all the big fuss is about. Akumi could be a double agent for all I care. But on the off chance she is innocent why not just come straight out and say it?
Yaoyorozu: We haven't been told anything new after the incident. Is it because we don't have our license yet? There is so much more that I don't know. I'm glad I'm not the only one who is going through this. Izuku has it much worse than we do. He is at the center of all of these events. I hate that this is dividing the class when now is the time we need to work together the most.
Izuku was again the last to leave. In his room, he turns on his computer. "Izuku, you need rest," Yumi said. Her vestige floats next to Izuku who is sitting at his desk searching online for any signs of the League of Villains.
After a few moments, Izuku stops clicking through websites and turns to face Yumi. With weary eyes, Izuku said, "Did you also tell her what to do?" Yumi looks away with guilt and a bit of shame on her face. "Sorry, I didn't mean anything bad by it." Izuku rubbed his eyes awake. With a faint smile, he continues, "The hero license exam is in three days. I could use a little bit of sleep." Getting up not turning off the computer he walks over to his bed then lays down passing out almost immediately.
"Yumi don't take on too much blame," All Might's vestige appears next to Yumi. "Part of the blame is on me for not teaching him correctly."
"No All Might. You were not supposed to die then. You were supposed to continue living and teach Izuku even more." Yumi starts to cry, "I messed up. Because of me, things are going badly for them."
"Akari will recover. We'll find Maeko. And Youta is doing what he does best. You've brought three new variables into the equation so of course there will be changes to the future you saw." The first user pulls the two of them back into the vestiges realm of One For All. There, all eight users sat on chairs positioned in a half circle. Yumi stands at the center in front of all the users. "There is something you haven't told us."
All eyes were staring daggers into what was left of her soul. What was left to tell them? She had thought she had already told them everything. Her childhood, her meeting with All For One, her death, everything up until now.
"It seems like you don't have a clue what we're talking about," the second user said. "Let's cut to the chase. How was Midoriya able to use your quirk?"
"It's because she's now part of One For All," All Might said in response.
"No, Toshinori." The seventh user said. "You acted as a gateway so that she could cross over here. The quirk never integrated with hers. She is a separate being"
"We made sure All For One couldn't access that gateway but we can never be so sure," the third user continued the conversation.
All Might's head drops and he holds back from speaking out. He understood the severity of his actions. Now he wonders how Yumi would respond to the question.
"We needed at least one of them if we were to keep things from going their way entirely," the first user defended All Might. "Besides, it looks like she has her own reasons why she's here."
Yumi's head was down as she spoke, "I didn't want to die. I was scared. Hurt. And when I saw an escape I took it without thinking. Would it have been better if I had just died? At least then, it would put the timeline back to how it was supposed to be. As long as both of us exist separately, the person we know as Izuku's sister will no longer be connected to our world. Which means the other world can not be reached."
"How do we know you're not working with All For One?" The fourth user asked. "For all we know you could just be waiting for a chance to take over Midoriya's body."
"I can't do that!" Yumi shouted in defense of herself. "That's not how my quirk works. I can store and take out what I store. It was Akiko's quirk that allowed us to flow our consciousness into the body. That's how we were able to take control momentarily. Overuse of the quirk made it so that the hold I had on the quirk weakened and that 'Thing' got through."
"But it was you who stored some of his consciousness that All For One managed to take hold of Akumi's body," The first user interrupted Yumi. "Why did you keep that small part of All For One?"
Yumi clenched her aching head. Her breath was getting erratic. She felt a lot of pressure. How should she answer the question? With honesty, a lie, half-truths, anything would do. There were no benefits to lying. Would they even believe her? What do they want to hear? What did they want to know? All she knows is that she has to say something, "I don't know! Why did I do that? Am I even me? How do I know that I'm even the real Yumi? I have the memories and body of Yumi. The quirk is definitely Yumi's. But I also have the memories of Akiko and Yua. What does that make me?!"
"I would appreciate it if you people would stop bullying my sister when I'm asleep." Izuku places a hand on Yumi's head as he appears in the vestige realm. Pulling Yumi close to himself Izuku looked back toward the previous users of One For All. "I know it's hard to trust her. But without her, I can't get all my sisters back."
"Do you think you can kill your so-called sister," The second user asked in a stern tone. "You could barely handle Shigaraki."
Izuku confidently answers, "Killing is the last option I'm thinking of." Yumi notices that the thought of killing them has crossed Izuku's mind. "I'm going to save them all. My sisters and Shigaraki. No one reached out when they needed one. So now I'll be that hand to pull them out of the darkness that has taken its hold on them even if it kills me."
"So you don't deny that you can kill them." The second and third user stands up and faces away. "We'll talk again if you change your mind about saving them." They walk away together into the distance and then stop at a wall.
"I'm sorry Izuku," Yumi said, holding onto Izuku. "I told you to get some rest and now you're here defending me."
"You stopped calling me Onii-Chan. You can continue to call me that if you want." A small bit of embarrassment showed on Izuku's face as soon as he realized what he said. "Unless you aren't comfortable with calling me by that title anymore. I mean you are as much my sister as the other two are."
"Izuku Midoriya!" Nana Shimura, the seventh user, said in a foreboding tone. "Are you certain that saving them is your goal!"
Yumi grips Izuku a bit tighter waiting for his answer. Izuku looks to Yumi with a smile reassuring her that he will save his other sisters and Shigaraki. Then facing Nana, Izuku answered without any hint of hesitation, "My will is iron! I will save them all!"
The next day Ida wakes up early to see Izuku sitting on the couch in the dorm room lounge with dead eyes. "Izuku are you feeling any better," Ida asked.
Blinking awake, Izuku's eyes lit back as he said, "Oh, Ida. Yes, I am feeling better now after talking with them."
"Talking with who? There's no one here."
"Ah, that's right you can't see them. It's the spirit of all the One For All users."
Ida looked at Izuku with worry on his face and asked, "Who are all the One For All users? Are you sure you're okay?"
"It sounds like I'm crazy, doesn't it? I'm telling you, I'm okay." Izuku scratches the back of his head. He had forgotten that they don't know about One For All or that he is All Might's successor. "Why? Do I not look okay?"
Ida goes over to sit across from Izuku. "You looked like you were going to make the same mistakes I made."
"So that's what I look like when I'm talking to them!" Izuku crouched forward, putting his palms together. "Believe me, the only other person who could see them was Akari so I guess others might see this as me being not right in the head."
"It's not that I don't believe you. It's just a lot has happened. I know how easy it is to fall into that mindset and lose yourself."
"I know. I first thought that too, a little while ago. If I hadn't met All Might I would have done what you did and sought revenge. But after seeing it from the other side I saw how stupid it was and how much trouble it caused for everyone." Looking Ida straight in the eye with a smile, Izuku says, "I'm okay Ida. Better than ever. Thank you for worrying about me."
"No matter what anyone else says, you are not a Nomu," Uraraka said, poking her head out from the kitchen counter. Catching their attention Uraraka continued, "Everyone in our class knows you can use more than one quirk. But you are not a Nomu. Not you or your sister."
"Uraraka—"
"Before you say that you can't tell me anything just let me finish speaking," Uraraka interrupted Izuku. "Akumi said I'm a rough gemstone without a polisher at the sports festival. It was at that same festival that I gave up on relying on you to polish my skills. Like how it was for Akumi, I felt like I was using you. I'm not trying to convince you to tell me anything. But I will ask you to please stop trying to do everything by yourself. It was easy to tell from last night that you are keeping secrets from those of us who you can tell it to. I didn't know Akumi for long but I get the sense that she's not someone who actively finds trouble. Trouble seems to always find her. I don't know what I'm even trying to get at but, everyone here worries about you and Akumi, and it doubles more so since there are two of you. So if you are going to do something can you at least tell us in person instead of not saying anything at all? We want to help bring Akumi back too."
"Uraraka… Thank You too for worrying about me and my sister." Izuku said. A moment of silence goes by. "But, what were you doing behind the kitchen counter?
Uraraka blushes, not knowing how she should answer the question. Instead, she chooses to leave out of embarrassment without saying anything.
