Chapter three:

"Hey Mello." Matt mentions after awhile and Mello looks over to see an image. "I found this image of what I think is Near and his siblings maybe."

Mello is a little surprised to see that one of them looks almost identical to Near. "Zoom in on his eyes." He points so Matt does so. He blinks as a realization comes to him. "So the dead body was actually that of Near's twin brother." He supposes that makes one part of the mystery solved. His eyes dart to who appears to be the younger sister of the group. "But who is she?" He points to her and Matt zooms out.

"Luckily when Roger had gotten a look at it there was writing on the back. I believe it may be their names." Matt takes a look at the writing of what was on the back. "So judging by this list I am going to say that the name Rai is for her. Plus the fact that they should have the same last name should make it easier to find her." He starts working in another window while Mello takes a look at the girl in the picture.

The girl, who is probably named Rai, has straight silky looking white hair that reaches to her waist, a black shirt with a skull on it, black short shorts, and black knee high length boots. Her winter blue eyes look more full of life compared to her older brothers more calm yet happy looks.

"Oh…" Matt's sound of surprise causes Mello to look at what he had found.

There is now a picture with text around it which shows more of a devious yet playful looking Rai; One of the biggest differences in her clothing is her skull t-shirt has turned into a tank top with some rips as if to be a little sexy yet not expose anything too sexual.

"Well. This might be worth looking into but Rai is actually a known member of a gang known as the Shadows. She's even described as being in the higher ranks. However she remains untouchable by the law. Not that the law does much about this gang considering that they tend to have a strong moral code most gangs don't have. So they don't cause as much trouble as normal gangs do."

Mello hums in thought. "Hold on. Rai could have easily made Near a place to stay and given him all he wanted. So why did Near end up at Whammy's orphanage instead? And what about his brother?"

"I'll look into the brother." Matt types away with a few things popping up like a picture of someone in a cloak carrying what looks to be a scythe. "Well not much is known about him. He's a loner who wanders from place to place. He is a decent guy according to those that have met him despite remaining mysterious on his past and everything. He has also saved a few lives from those who wished people harm then just walked off once the victim was safe. So he is a good fighter and people are saying that he prefers his scythe over any sort of firearms."

"Weird." Mello glances down at this. "So all three siblings are separated. But why? Also if they have been separated then if one was after one of the siblings how would they know about the other siblings? I want to say that this is something against Near. Did they happen across Silver by chance and its just coincidence? Or is there more to this going on? What if there was someone who was going after Rai and this is why Near was kidnapped? Maybe it had nothing to do with the orphanage so they wanted them to think that Near was dead? Though that doesn't explain everything."

"Well. There is one person we can ask." Matt points out and Mello knows that he means Rai.

Mello looks to Matt with a serious look. "How fast do you think you can get us into contact with her?"

"Pretty quickly." Matt hums turning to his computer. "I know a guy who has a friend who he had mentioned was a part of the Shadows. I'll give him a call and see if we can set things up."

"Great."

Matt gets up heading away to have that conversation on the phone.

Mello turns to look to Rai's profile in the police records of what is known about her and her role in the Shadows. He does notice that there is a mention that she can act sexual however it is always pointless to try to get anything of that nature from her, not even other members of the group seem to be able to get any from her. He wonders what she will be like. He turns when Matt returns awhile later.

"Well. I got the number from the guy I knew. He said as long as we keep him out of this." Matt lets out a breath. "And I called that number at least explaining that Near is missing and Near's brother's body was in his bed. That we wanted to find Near. That is all that was needed to know. They're sending a car to pick us up to take us to their base to speak to Rai in person."

Mello is a little surprised that this is happening so quickly. He supposes that it is for the best as this way they will be able to get their answers hopefully.

"I'll let you know when the car arrives." Matt mentions to which Mello nods.

Mello grabs a notebook writing down all of the questions that he is hoping Rai can answer. He then gets up making sure that he will be at least dressed in more alright clothes than just comfy looking clothes as he puts on a t-shirt and jeans. He just feels like he has to since walking into the base of a gang in what could be argued as pyjamas to discuss a missing persons case might be seen as untrustworthy.

"It's here!" Matt calls making Mello almost feel like it is a bit to early.

Mello heads out with Matt to the black car where a driver opens the door to the backseat revealing a man in jeans, a grey tank top, a plaid shirt hanging unbuttoned on top, punk style short brown hair and dark brown eyes. He climbs in first when Matt hesitates after the man nods for them to get in.

Matt follows in to which the driver closes the door then heads to the driver side starting to drive to get them to their location.

With no seats across from the man Mello and Matt are beside the man, more so Mello with Matt on the other side of him.

The man doesn't say much and just sips at what looks to be a bottle of beer. He doesn't even show any signs of any sort of drunkenness, plus the beer looks like its been hardly touched. "We'll be there soon." He informs the two before taking another small sip of his beer. His words clear without even so much as a hint of a slur. "And don't worry. I won't be drunk and unable to get you in. Just enjoying a single beer." He stops talking after that and just continues to sip his beer.

Matt glances to Mello worriedly though Mello looks out the front window with determination.

It is time to get some answers.
