Chapter 35.
Battle between siblings.
While everyone is in the dorms around bedtime, there are two people outside, Yamikumo and Izumi walk, the boy leading the way while the girl follows. – "I-I don't think we should be outside at this time of night..."- Izumi said. – "We could get in trouble."-
- "Don't worry, I have Nezu's permission... I talked to him."- Yamikumo said. – "We have arrived..."-
Izumi looks around and identifies the place. – "It is the place where we had our entrance exam..."-
- "That's right, I feel like this place is the ideal."- Yamikumo said.
- "You said you wanted to talk about One for All..."- Izumi said. – "Wouldn't it have been easier to talk privately in one of our rooms?"-
- "No... not for this."- Yamikumo said before turning around and staring at Izumi and then pointing at her. – "You and I are going to fight right now."-
Izumi is surprised at those words. – "F-Fight!? Why do you say that out of the blue?!"- Izumi said. – "And besides... how will fighting you help me?!"-
- "Although the quirks are physical abilities... not only training your body will help to improve, but the psychological aspect is also important."- Yamikumo said. – "You wonder why you can't increase your percentage with One for All despite continuing to train your body... That is because psychologically you are blocked, you have mental shackles that don't let you move forward."-
- "I-I don't understand..." – Izumi said.
- "Izumi... although you have changed for the better... there is still a problem... you always put yourself below others."- Yamikumo said. – "Before One for All, you used to be quirkless... you were bullied, right?"-
Izumi gets nervous. - "W-Well... it's true that it was hard being quirkless, but..."- Izumi said but is interrupted by Yamikumo.
- "You don't have to lie to me... I can see it."- Yamikumo said. – "That's the reason why you always put yourself below others... that's why you think you don't have what it takes... that's why you've psychologically blocked yourself and the reason you haven't progressed further with One for All."-
- "A-And if that were true... what would fighting help?"- Izumi asked.
- "You have been keeping your true feelings to yourself, you are repressing them and you need to get them out, you need to vent."- Yamkumo said. – "You have to start saying how you really feel... you have to think about yourself."-
- "I-If that's what I need to do, I can start doing it, but there's no need to fight."- Izumi said.
Yamikumo shakes his head. - "No... I know you will try, but in the end it will end the same..."- Yamikumo said. – "Sometimes words are not enough... sometimes violence can work."-
- "I-I still don't think it's a good idea..."- Izumi said.
- "I'm sorry... but there's no way you're getting out of this..."- Saying this, Yamikumo surrounds his fist with fire and attacks Izumi.
It was only thanks to her reflexes that Izumi managed to jump and dodge the attack. – "This is bad..."- Izumi uses a black whip to latch onto a building and try to escape.
However, Yamikumo uses his fire to cut through the black whip and then propels himself closer to Izumi.
Izumi tries to use black whip again, but in that she watches as Yamikumo, above her, approaches with a kick, Izumi quickly covers herself with her arms from the kick, but the force of the kick causes her to fall to the ground.
- "I already told you... there is no way to avoid this fight..."- Yamikumo said as he lands. – "You better start fighting... because I don't back down when I'm set on something."-
Izumi gets up from the ground. – "It seems I have no other choice..."- She said while activating the Full Cowl. – "Very well, if we are going to fight... let's fight giving it our all!"-
Hearing this, Yamikumo smiles slightly.

Nezu's office.
Nezu is in his office even though he is not normally there at this time of night, however he is interested in the fight that is going on right now.
Looking at the computer on his desk, he sees what is happening in Battle Center B, the fight between Yamikumo and Izumi.
A while ago Yamikumo came to his office asking for permission to use that place to help Izumi with One for All, however Nezu did not expect this, even so he is intrigued.
- "So this is your idea, Atanagi-kun..."- Nezu thought. – "Don't worry, I deactivated all the robots in the area, no one will interrupt you. Let's see if what you say really works..."-

Battle center B.
Back with the siblings, the fight continues…
Yamikumo attacks with a fire fist at Izumi who jumps back to dodge the attack, however, Yamikumo uses that same fire to boost himself and kicks Izumi, who crashes into a railing.
As soon as Izumi was able to recover, she had to roll on the ground to avoid another blow from Yamikumo, but even so, he managed to catch her arm and then forcefully throw her into the street.
Izumi gets up from the ground and in that she sees how Yamikumo charges at her, wasting no time pointing her hand at him. – "Delaware Smash!"- With a flick of her finger, Izumi releases a large amount of air at Yamikumo.
Yamikumo, seeing Izumi's attack, stops and defends himself with a burst of fire which collides with Izumi's attack, as the smoke clears, Izumi appears in front of Yamikumo and tries to punch him, but Yamikumo stops the punch with his hand.
Izumi is surprised, Yamikumo takes advantage of this to kick her in the stomach and then punch her in the face, sending Izumi flying.
Izumi recovers in midair just in time to see Yamikumo throw a fire blast at her, using black whip he dodges the fire blast, however, Yamikumo appears in front of Izumi and punches him in the face and then a kick, even so Izumi recovers and attacks with another Delaware Smash, however it doesn't work either as Yamikumo covers himself with a wall of fire again.
- "I can't analyze the fight... Atanagi-kun is too fast to try to predict his moves... It's the same as in the sports festival... I haven't been able to land any punches."- Izumi thought. – "No... remember what Atanagi-kun said... stop putting yourself below others... if my usual strategy doesn't work, then I must change my fighting style!"-
Izumi charges at Yamikumo with a punch which is dodged by the boy jumping, but that's what Izumi wanted, as he took advantage of the momentum to position himself behind Yamikumo and punch him in the side of his body, the attack doesn't end there as Izumi double kicks Yamikumo, lifting him into the air, then jumps up and prepares a punch.
- "Detroit Smash!"- Izumi punches Yamikumo in the face, causing him to hit the ground hard.
Izumi lands on the ground while taking a deep breath. – "I…I did it! I managed to hit him!"- Izumi thought, but then…
- "Not bad... but the blow lacked strength."- Yamikumo said appearing behind Izumi, when the girl turns around she is greeted by a burst of fire at point blank range.
Izumi tries to get up, but her legs won't allow her to get up. – "I used all my strength in that blow... and it didn't do anything... am I really that weak?"- Izumi thought as small tears fell from her eyes.
- "Is that all? Are you giving up already?"- Yamikumo asked. – "If that's the case... then All Might was wrong in his choice."-
Izumi widens her eyes upon hearing those painful words, those words brought back memories of her childhood. – "You're pathetic, Deku."-
- "Let's get this over with at once... I want to sleep."- Yamikumo prepares another burst of fire.
- "It seems that I finally showed my true face... even my brother tells me that I'm pathetic..."- Izumi thought. – "Because everything always ends like this... whenever something good happens to me... it always ends badly..."-
Izumi begins to remember.

(Izumi is four years old.)
- "Hey... check this out."- A four-year-old katsuki said to his group of friends, in which Izumi was the only girl. – "Did you know that if you change Izumi's name a bit it can be read as Deku?"-
- "Oh really? I didn't know…"- Izumi said.
- "Of course you didn't know! From now on Deku will mean useless!"- Katsuki said.
Another day…
- "Wow! How many times were you able to make your stone skip in the water?" – A kid askes to Katsuki.
- "Seven times!"- Katsuki said. – "What about you, Deku?"-
- "Z-Zero…"- Izumi said.
- "Useless as always, Deku!"-
Another day…
- "I'm sorry... that will never happen, you better give up."- The doctor told Izumi.
- "Is something wrong, doctor?"- Inko asked.
- "Yes, we did the necessary tests and we finally have the results, your daughter does not have and will never develop a Quirk."- The doctor said.
Later that night…
Izumi looks sadly at the All Might video while her mother watches her from behind. – "Mom…"- Izumi said. – "Do you think I can be like him?"-
Inko, in tears, hugs her daughter. – "I'm sorry, Izumi, I'm sorry…"-
The next day.
- "Did you hear? Looks like Izumi-chan doesn't have a quirk..."- One of Izumi's kindergarten classmates said.
- "Really?"- Another one asked.
- "Yes, quirkless they called her."- The first one said.
- "Well, how pathetic!"-
Izumi can only stand there without saying anything... just with a sad expression.
Another day…
- "You're mean Kachan… I-I can't let you do that!"- Izumi said while getting in the way of Katsuki who was trying to beat up another boy.
- "Don't make me laugh, Deku! Get out of the way, I don't want to hurt you!"- Katsuki said. – "Also, you're quirkless, what can you do?"-
- "I-I won't let you hurt him!"- Izumi said.
- "As you wish…"- Katsuki said, ordering the other two boys to hold Izumi while he beat up the boy that Izumi tried to protect.
A few years later…
(Izumi is fourteen years old).
Classes were over and Izumi was saving her things, but when she was about to grab her notebook Katsuki took the notebook from her hands.
- "Our conversation is not over Deku. What's this? hero analysis? Are you kidding Deku?"- Said Katsuki.
- "Stop! Return it!"- Said Izumi. However, Bakugo blew up the notebook and then threw it out the window.
- "I will be the first and only one from this mediocre school to enter the UA."- Katsuki said so that with his still steaming palm he grabbed Izumi's shoulder. – "So just in case, you won't take the entrance exam."-
- "Hahaha. As expected, she doesn't dare to answer."- Said one of those who accompanied Bakugo.
- "By the way Deku. If you want to become a hero so much, there is a way to achieve it."- Said Bakugo calling Izumi's attention. – "Throw yourself off the roof and pray that in your next life you'll be born with a quirk."- After this Bakugo left. Leaving a sad Izumi behind.
A few months later…
(During UA's entrance exam)
- "That girl seems to be concentrating. What are you trying to do? Are you taking the test to obstruct others?"- Iida scolded Izumi.
Everyone that was watching this interaction started muttering with each other.
- "It's the girl who was fooling at the entrance. They scold her and she cowers in fear."-
- "At least we have one less rival"-

- "Everyone always made fun of me... Everyone looks at me like someone useless... Nobody ever believed in me..."- Izumi thought, she was about to give up, but in that another memory comes to her head.
- "You can be a hero!"-
All Might's words echoed in her head; she widens her eyes in surprise. – "No... he believed in me..."-
In that, the most recent memories of her life went through her head, all the people who supported her.
- "You look very cool, Izumi."- Her mother's words.
- "Judging by the short time I know you; I can say that you were the perfect choice for being the new One for All holder."- Yamikumo's words.
- "You passed the exam. Just like Present Mic said! Your punch was incredible, you are incredible!" - Uraraka's words.
- "Midoriya-san… I was wrong about you, you figure it out the secret score from the entrance exam, I hate to admit it, but you are better than me."- Iida's words.
- "Damn, Midoriya... that was awesome…"- Kaminari's words.
- "Come on Izumi-chan! You can do it!"- Kinoko's words.
- "You are very smart Midori! And very cute too!"- Mina's words.
And that's where she realizes. – "I... I'm not weak...- Izumi clenches her fists. – "I've worked hard to get here..."- Izumi starts to get up. – "And I'm not going to let anyone say otherwise ever again!"-
- "Grah!"- With a loud scream Izumi lets her emotions out, with a simple scream she vents all her impotence from all these years, all this while again activating Full Cowl, but this time it is visibly stronger.
Yamikumo just watches, a small smile appearing on his face, and then fires a burst of fire at Izumi.
The flare was about to hit Izumi, but she destroyed it with a single movement of her arm, Izumi's face was full of determination.
Yamikumo smiles slightly. - "Finally... how do you feel?"- He asked.
Izumi looks at himself, Full Cowl is slightly different, brighter, to say the least. – "I feel... better... stronger." - She then looks at her brother. – "I feel... calm... a calm that I haven't felt in a long time... thank you."-
- "Now that you have finally started to release those repressed feelings... there will be nothing to stop your progress anymore... but this is only the beginning, you have just begun to vent."- Yamikumo said before getting into a fighting position. – "Shall we continue?"-
Izumi smiles and also gets into a fighting stance. – "Yes!"- She said.
Izumi is the first to act, charging at Yamikumo, Izumi attacks Yamikumo with a punch, but Yamikumo blocks it and counters with a kick, but Izumi dodges.
Izumi jumps back and Yamikumo takes advantage and attacks with several fireballs, even so Izumi manages to dodge all of Yamikumo's attacks and then positions herself behind him and tries to attack.
Yamikumo ducks to avoid the attack and kicks Izumi, however the girl blocks the kick and only moves back thanks to the force of the kick but without taking any damage.
Izumi charges at Yamikumo again and tries to punch him, but he dodges and manages to knee her in the back which makes her back down.
After taking the hit, Izumi backs up and jumps down to the bottom lane of the fake town, Yamikumo follows her, but Izumi surprises him by waiting for him. – "I got you!"- Izumi uses black whip and tries to capture Yamikumo, but Yamikumo creates a solid fire sword and destroys black whip, however that is what Izumi wanted since without Yamikumo noticing Izumi kicks directly to Yamikumo's face.
Yamikumo falls to the ground but recovers without a problem. – "Not bad… but you can do it better."-
Izumi stops a few meters in front of Yamikumo. – "I'm just warming up..."- She said.
- "So let's continue then..."- Yamikumo said before using his telekinesis to lift up some of the debris that resulted from the fight. – "Now I will attack harder!"- Yamikumo throws the rubble at Izumi.
Izumi dodges some of the debris and destroys others with her punches, in which Yamikumo jumps and positions himself on top of her and attacks with a burst of fire which is barely dodged by the girl.
Yamikumo charges at Izumi and they both start exchanging blows, Yamikumo has a slight advantage, but Izumi is not far behind.
In one of those, Yamikumo kicks Izumi who recovers quickly and manages to grab Yamikumo by the leg and throw him against a building, Yamikumo crashes into the building.
Yamikumo recovers and charges at Izumi, who blocks a kick from Yamikumo, Izumi quickly uses the black whip and manages to grab Yamikumo but he begins to release fire which forces Izumi to move back and free him.
Using his fire, Yamikumo pushes himself up and manages to land a punch to Izumi's stomach, who falls to the ground, then uses his telekinesis to drag her towards him and punch her to the ground.
Izumi recovers and uses the black whip to push Yamikumo away and then attacks him with a kick which is dodged, causing the destruction of a wall of a building.
Izumi charges at Yamikumo again but he quickly dodges the attack and counters with a kick to Izumi's stomach, making her spit a little.
Izumi falls to her knees but is still conscious, she starts to get some air. – "His movements are faster than before... but I've been able to block and dodge most of them... little by little I'm managing to keep up with him..."-
Yamikumo for his part jumps back, letting Izumi catch her breath. - "She is getting used to the rhythm of the battle... but this is just beginning."-
After a few seconds, Izumi manages to catch her breath, the fight resumes.
- "This time I will attack with everything I have!"- Izumi said while increasing the power of the Full Cowl. – "One for All Full Cowl 25%!"- Izumi appears in front of Yamikumo, taking him off guard. – "Texas Smash!"- Izumi hits Yamikumo, sending him flying, but that doesn't end there, using black whip Izumi drags Yamikumo to her. – "Wyoming Smash!"-
The blow is so strong that it sends Yamikumo through an entire building.
- "I won't hold back anymore!"- Izumi said.
Suddenly the rubble flies out and Yamikumo emerges from it, who has some injuries on his body, even so Yamikumo smiles excitedly. – "This is so much better..."- Yamikumo activates Fire Soul. – "The real fight starts now!"-
Yamikumo boosts himself with a large amount of fire and arrives in front of Izumi and attacks her with a burst of fire, managing to hit her and the girl backs away from the attack. – "I forgot his Fire soul... still I won't give up!"-
Izumi and Yamikumo charge at each other again, colliding punches, both start to frown for a couple seconds then back off at the same time.
Yamikumo creates several spheres of fire and throws them at Izumi. – "Firebombs!"- Izumi dodges the fire spheres which explode against a building behind Izumi.
Izumi approaches Yamikumo and prepares a kick. - "St. Louis Smash!"- Yamikumo jumps back and dodges Izumi's kick which creates a crater on impact.
Yamikumo attacks Izumi again, but this time with a fire kick, Izumi tries to dodge the attack, but, thanks to his speed, Yamikumo manages to land the kick against Izumi's left arm, slightly burning her shirt and leaving her bra exposed.
Izumi ignores that for now and grabs Yamikumo by the leg and throws him into a streetlight, breaking it, Yamikumo recovers and kicks Izumi up into the air.
Izumi recovers in the air and points both hands at Yamikumo. – "Doble Delaware Smash!"- By flicking her fingers, Izumi releases a large gust of wind which is directed at Yamikumo.
Seeing this, Yamikumo creates a small fire dragon and launches it against Izumi's attack. - "Dragon roar!"- Both attacks collide creating a smokescreen from which Yamikumo emerges against Izumi, both begin to exchange blows, but this time in midair.
After exchanging several blows, both collide with kicks and then back.
After recovering their air they both realize the situation they are in, that Yamikumo is flying is normal, it is something that he has already shown that he can do, but Izumi is also in the air and he is not falling...
- "What's going on?!"- Izumi said.
- "I have no idea..."- For the first time, Yamikumo doesn't have the answer or at least not instantly since they both remembered certain words from Toshinori.
- "My predecessor... Nana Shimura... her quirk is called float."-
- "Float…"- They both said at the same time.
- "I just used Float!"- Izumi said.
- "Heh... speaking of unexpected things... I hope this doesn't interrupt us..."- Yamikumo said.
- "If I'm honest... I'm already getting a little tired..."- Izumi said but then smiles. – "But I can still keep fighting!"- Izumi uses a Delaware Smash to push against Yamikumo and punch him.
- "She used Delaware Smash to propel herself into the air..." – Yamikumo thought.
- "I'm also good at improvising movements... I copied the way you propel yourself using your fire..."- Izumi thought.
Yamkumo recovers in the air and with his fire creates a whip which takes Izumi by the leg and crashes her against the roof of a building.
Izumi emerges from the rubble and tackles Yamikumo, both of them go flying through a building and then fall onto the street.
They both get up with some difficulty, the effects of the fight beginning to affect their bodies.
Izumi feels her heavy body, her injuries and exhaustion begin to affect her. – "My body begins to get tired... this will be my last attack..."-
Meanwhile, Yamikumo feels the Fire Soul start to leave his body. - "Fire Soul is about to reach its limit... I have to end this with my next attack."-
They both stare at each other and as if they knew what the other thinks they charge at the other.
- "One for All… 30%"- Izumi thought.
- "Fire Soul…"- Yamikumo thought.
- "Detroit Smash! / Red Fire Roar!"-
The attacks collide...

Izumi opens her eyes, after the last crash she fainted, her body is tired. – "What happened?"- She said quietly.
- "You finally woke up..."- A voice said.
After hearing said voice, Izumi realizes the situation, she is being carried by Yamikumo, who carries her on his back.
- "After the last clash you passed out, so I decided to carry you on my back while you woke up."- Yamikumo said. – "Can you walk?"-
- "I don't think so... my body is very tired..."- Izumi said.
- "I see… I'll keep carrying you until we get to the dorms then."- Yamikumo said. – "After all, it is my duty as your older brother."-
- "Older brother…"- Izumi said. – "I like the sound of that…"-
Yamikumo smiles. - "You did well, I really thought I was going to lose."- He said.
- "It's thanks to you..."- Izumi said. – "I know that with this I won't solve all my self-esteem problems... but it's a start... I won't let anyone intimidate me anymore."-
- "I'm glad to hear it, if you continue like this you will become much stronger than you can imagine."- Yamikumo said.
Izumi smiles as she lets her head rest on her brother's shoulder. – "Thank you…"- She said.
Yamikumo doesn't answer. – "No, on the contrary, thanks to you... now I know that everyone will be safe with you."-
The rest of the way was traveled in silence, a comfortable silence.

1-A Dorms.
Meanwhile in the dorms of class 1-A everything is quiet, some are ready to go to sleep.
Mina goes down to the common room. - "Hey, have you seen Midori? She is not in her room and I want to ask her a few things."- She asked.
- "No, I thought she was with you."- Kaminari said.
- "Now that you mention it, Yami-kun isn't here either…"- Kinoko said.
At that moment the main door opens and everyone is surprised to see, not who enters, but the state in which they enter.
Both Yamikumo and Izumi have some injuries on their bodies.
Yamikumo is shirtless, since his shirt was burned by his fire, and several injuries from crashing into buildings and bruises from Izumi's blows.
Izumi has the upper left half of her shirt burned, showing her bra, like Yamikumo she has several injuries from crashing into the building, some bruises, and light burns on her body, plus she is still on Yamikumo's back.
There is an awkward silence.
- "Hi…"- The pair of siblings said to try to break the silence.
- "What happened to you two?!"- The rest of the class A shouted in concern.
One explanation later…
- "You two had a fight?!"-
- "I already told you; Izumi asked me for help with one of her techniques and things got out of control and we ended up fighting seriously."- Yamikumo explained, he and Izumi are now sitting on the couch in the common room.
- "That was very irresponsible of you, it was already curfew, if a teacher had caught you fighting you would have been in trouble!"- Iida said.
- "Relax Iida, we had permission from the principal, so we won't get in trouble, at least for being out at curfew time."- Yamikumo said.
- "Well... at least you had permission."- Iida said.
- "I know you're worried, but we'll be fine, we just need to take a bath and rest."- Yamikumo said. – "Although, I think Izumi will need help."-
- "I'm too tired to even move..."- Izumi said.
- "I'll help you!"- Mina said as she begins to drag a tired Izumi towards the baths.
- "Thanks…"- Izumi said but then she realizes the implications of Mina helping her take a bath, they will most likely bathe together... – "W-Wait! This is going too fast, I'm not ready for that!"-
- "Well... I'll take a bath too... even my thoughts hurt."- Yamikumo said.
After this, and except for a completely blushing Izumi, everyone went to rest, ready to continue.

We finished with the arc of provisional licenses.
We end the arc of provisional licenses with a fight between siblings.
Izumi unlocks Float, that girl is getting stronger and stronger and she will need it.
The next chapter we start with the Overhaul arc, the penultimate to end the UA saga.
In case you don't know, for me the Overhaul arc and the cultural festival arc are one since they follow the same storyline, which is Eri.
