Chapter 40.
Fireheart and Lemillion, unbreakable wills.
Back with Sir Nighteye's group.
The place was getting more and more crazy, it was more difficult to move forward. – "It's getting harder and harder to move!" – Rock Lock said.
- "If we continue like this we will be crushed!"- Nighteye said. – "Rock Lock!"-
- "Don't act like a leader! Because the cause of all this disaster is your mismanagement!"- Rock Lock said as he used his quirk on the walls to stop them from moving.
Ken Takagi aka Rock Lock.
Quirk: Lock Down.
Ken's Quirk allows him to immobilize any nonliving thing he's touched, stopping it in a fixed location in space.
It can be overwhelmed by enough force and it cannot be applied to large areas.
Thanks to this, everyone was able to advance a little further, but further on the place continues to move. - "This is my limit and the place is still moving!"- Rock Lock said.
In front of them a wall is going to hit them. – "Watch out!"- Izumi said while destroying the wall with one hit. – "We won't let anything stop us!"- She said.
Just then, suddenly, a large wall separated Lockrock from the rest. – "Did he separate us?! Why now?!"- Izumi wondered.
- "He had to change his strategy when he saw that crushing us would not work..."- Aizawa said.
Meanwhile with Lockrock…
Lockrock quickly turned around to intercept the attack that was coming straight towards him with one hand.
He felt a stinging pain in his hand as he felt it being pierced with a knife.
The person responsible for this was Toga, who had appeared out of nowhere.
But in one swift movement, he used his quirk to stop Toga from taking her knife back.
At that point, having her trapped, he prepared to punch her hard, but when he hit Toga, she turned into mud.
- "Shhh..." -At that, someone covered his mouth with a hand and he felt a weight on his back. – "Now I am acting as an artifact from ancient times. I'm Toga the Gangster." –
With the rest…
- "What's going on?!" – Aizawa asked as he heard all the commotion on the other side.
- "Eraser step aside!" – Izumi said as she charged with a punch ready. – "Smash!"- And with a strong punch, the wall was destroyed, and when it was down, they saw Lockrock crouching with the body of another Lockrock on the ground on his back and with a wound on his back from which blood was coming out.
- "Lockrock!" –
- "An impostor appeared out of nowhere and attacked me! Keep your eyes open! There are new enemies! They're around here somewhere!" – said "Lockrock" while Izumi and Aizawa approached. – "Midoriya, are you okay?" – He asked, ignoring how Aizawa went to see the "other" Lockrock.
Aizawa, upon seeing the wound, was immediately surprised. – "A knife wound..."-
But in that, Izumi with a quick movement managed to block the knife attack that "Lockrock" launched at her in a surprising way by catching his wrist.
At that moment Aizawa turns around and activates his quirk looking directly at "Lockrock". – "This can only be about one person!"- Immediately "Lockrock" melted into mud to reveal Toga Himiko smiling madly.
- "Himiko Toga!"- Izumi said surprised.
- "That's right, it's me Himiko Toga!"- Toga tries to stab Izumi, but Aizawa stops her with his capture tape and pulls her away so he can capture her.
- "It's over, Himiko Toga!"- Aizawa said.
Toga looked at him with irritation, as he took the bandage that tied her and then jumped to the ground to be above Aizawa and stabbed a knife into his shoulder.
Aizawa mumbled in pain as he released his bandage to remove the knife from his shoulder, and Toga took advantage of that moment to take out another blade to cut the bandage and free herself.
- "Sensei!"- Izumi said worried for her teacher.
- "I'm fine, don't worry."- Aizawa said.
Then they both looked in the direction of where Toga was, only to find a new wall behind them.
It seemed that both the 8 Precepts and the League were working together. The reason Mimic altered his plan and created the hole was to allow the villains to enter.

A few days before the raid.
- "So, it's you two that Tomura sent."- Chisaki said to the two people in front of her, Himiko Toga and Twice. Behind him are the members of the eight bullets.
- "Tomura ordered us to come here, so we have no choice."- Toga said. – "I'm Toga."-
- "I still don't forgive you for what you did! / It's a pleasure to work with you!"- Twice said.
- "To the sake of easily coordination, please tell me what your quirks are and how they work." – Chisaki said.
The first to speak was Twice. - "My quirk grants me the ability to create an exact duplicate of anything, living or not. In order to duplicate something, I need to know the exact measurements and characteristics. I'm limited to only two duplications at a time. The duplicates are not as durable as the original; the second duplicate is even less durable than the first. Finally, for reasons I don't want to explain, I can't duplicate myself!"- After this, Toga and Twice look at each other confused.
- "What was that?"- Toga asked.
- "I didn't want to do it, I swear!"- Twice quickly said.
- "And what about you?"- Chisaki asked to Toga.
- "My quirk is Transform. When I drink someone's blood it allows me to become that person. The time of transformation depends on the amount of blood that I ingest. A glass of blood is equivalent to a day. If I drink the blood of many at the same time, I can transform into any of those people. I can also include clothes in my transformations, but those clothes overlap mine which means I end up naked so it's a bit embarrassing."- After that Twice and Toga look confused again.
- "I see…"- Chisaki said. – "One more thing... Did Tomura give you any order to betray us?"-
- "Nope!"-
- "Nah!"-
- "Well then, for now you will be treated as temporary members, I can't have you wandering around as you please either, so for now you will stay underground until you prove that I can trust you."- Chisaki said.
- "Okay!"-

Back to the Present.
It seemed that the help of the League of Villains had achieved nothing. And that made Mimic angry.
He had had enough, so he would finish them off once and for all, so he started distorting the room to use his plan to crush them again.
And as he did so, he let out a cry of effort, as the effect of the potentiating drug was wearing off. But that caught the attention of Izumi and Aizawa.
The walls had changed quickly because of that voice and Izumi suddenly looked up at the ceiling and saw a large hole in it.
She looked carefully; she saw a pair of eyes in the shadows. And so, she quickly knew where Irinaka was.
Izumi makes a strong jump in the direction of Irinaka, punching the wall hard, which caught the attention of the others, and Irinaka emerges from the rubble.
Aizawa, finally being able to see Irinaka, used his quirk to erase Irinaka's and he separated from the wall and began to fall to the ground.
But before he fell, he received a blow to the forehead from Nighteye when he threw a seal, knocking the yakuza unconscious, and then he was caught by Izumi using her black whip.
- "This set us back... but we are finally done with the maze..."- Nighteye said.
- "Togata-senpai, Atanagi-kun, Eri-chan... we're on our way, don't worry!"- Izumi thought.

With Overhaul.
- "Looks like some people caught up with us."- Chisaki said as he looked at Mirio and Yamikumo in front of him and Chronostasis, who is carrying Eri in his arms. – "How did you get through the place so fast?"-
- "We took a shortcut, and we are here to take the girl."- Mirio said before charging against Chisaki, Yamikumo did the same but against Chronostasis.
- "You don't understand, do you? If you try to do that... you will die."- Chisaki said.
After these words, Mirio and Yamikumo felt how they began to lose their balance.
- "You feel a little dizzy, don't you?"- Hanging on the roof, a guy said.
Deidoro Sasaki.
Quirk: Sloshed.
Deidoro's Quirk allows him to subject nearby people to severe dizziness and inhibit their sense of balance, putting them in a state similar to being drunk. The strength of Sloshed dependens on how much alcohol Deidoro consumes and has in his system.
- "It must be his quirk!"- Mirio thought.
In that, Shin Nemoto appears in front of him with a gun pointed at Mirio and starts shooting at him but Yamikumo stops the bullets with his telekinesis.
- "Interesting… What kind of quirk is that?" – Shin asked to Yamikumo.
- "It is Pyro-Telekinesis, I can control and create fire as well as move objects with my mind."- Yamikumo is surprised. – "Sh*t! Mirio, my mouth moved by itself! Must be that guy's quirk!"-
Shin Nemoto.
Quirk: Confession.
Shin's Quirk allows him to force his victim to answer truthfully after he asks them a question.
- "His quirk must force someone to answer the questions no matter what."- Mirio said.
- "That's right, now, could you tell me about your quirk?"- Shin asked.
Despite his attempts not to respond, Mirio responds. - "It is permeation. As long as it's active, everything will pass through me!"-
- "You have a couple of interesting quirks, a shame you're going to lose them!"- Shin said as he tries to shoot again, but the gun jams, thanks to Yamikumo's telekinesis. – "What?!"-
Taking advantage of this distraction, Mirio dives to the ground while Yamikumo uses his fire to propel himself against the guy on the roof.
- "Phantom Menace! / Red Flare!"- Mirio emerges from the ground and knocks Shin out with one blow while Yamikumo attacks Deidoro with a burst of fire, knocking him out.
Hearing the screams, Chisaki turns around to only see his two subordinates on the ground. Suddenly Miro and Yamikumo appear between him and Chronostasis. – "Chisaki!"- Mirio attacks Chisaki with a punch, which is dodged, and Yamikumo punches Chronostasis in the face and then takes Eri in his arms.
- "Why?"- Eri said while being held in Yamikumo's arms. – "Leave! Or he will kill you!"-
- "Don't worry! Because now we will be your heroes!"- Mirio said. – "We're not going to let him take you again!"-
- "Chronostasis... you're useless!"- Chisaki said.
- "Sorry boss…"- Chronostasis said.
Chisaki then looks at Eri. – "And you... come back here! Or do you want me to kill these two?!"- He said. – "I've told you before... you were born to destroy people!"-
- "Don't listen to him."- Yamikumo quickly said to Eri.
- "Every one of your actions ends up killing someone..."- Chisaki continues. – "Your existence is cursed!"-
- "How can you say that to your own daughter?!"- Mirio said.
Chisaki removes his gloves. - "I have no children."- And he puts his hands on the ground and suddenly everything is destroyed.
Chisaki attacks Mirio and Yamikumo with spikes that come out of the ground, however Mirio uses his quirk to avoid being hurt while Yamikumo uses his telekinesis to levitate and avoid the spikes.
- "I see... you don't care what happens to her, do you?"- Yamikumo said.
- "Of course not, even if I destroyed her, I can repair her immediately, she can be resurrected."- Chisaki said. – "Although it may not seem like it, I can return it to its original state... I know because I have already experienced it firsthand."-
These words made Mirio and Yamikumo angry.
- "Mirio, take Eri."- Yamikumo said handing Era to Mirio and then propelling himself with his fire towards Chisaki. – "I'm going to make this guy suffer for what he's done!"-
Yamikumo's speed was so high that Chisaki was unable to dodge Yamikumo's direct punch to the face.
Chisaki recoils from the blow and Yamikumo tries to attack him with his Katana, but Chisaki stops it with his hand and, using his quirk, destroys it completely. – "Are you seriously thinking of fighting me?!"- Chisaki tries to touch Yamikumo, but he uses his fire to get away from Chisaki.
When Yamikumo lands, he manages to avoid the attack of Chronostasis's hair, who lost his mask due to Yamikumo's blow.
Chronostasis has thin, dark eyes, pointed eyebrows, and pale chin-length hair that forms arrow-shaped "clockhands" as a result of his quirk.
- "Chrono, take care of fire boy, I'll go get Eri!"- Chisaki heads towards Mirio, who has Eri in his arms.
Yamikumo tries to stop Chisaki, but Chronostasis forces him back by attacking him again with his hair.
Yamikumo tries to attack Chronostasis, but he shoots him with his pistol, forcing Yamikumo to dodge. – "If those bullets touch me I will lose my quirk."- He thought.
Chronostasis tries to shoot again, but Yamikumo uses his telekinesis to jam the weapon and approaches to quickly attack Chronostasis with a burst of fire which sends Chronostasis crashing into the wall.
Meanwhile with Overhaul and Mirio…
Several spikes created from the ground attack Mirio, who with his hands prevents Eri from getting hurt while using his Quirk on his body to prevent the spikes from hurting him.
- "Your quirk is very interesting."- Chisaki said, in that he removes the spikes and can see how Mirio's cape is only covering Eri. – "Where…"-
Chisaki couldn't finish speaking as Mirio emerged from the ground and hits him with a One for All powered punch. – "A hero's cape is to cover a girl who has suffered!"- Mirio yelled before landing another blow on Chisaki.
- "Damn... he focuses on his opponent and predicts his next move…"- Chisaki thought.
- "Your agility far exceeds that of any Yakuza..."- Mirio said as he sinks to the ground. – "But you forgot something…"-
Suddenly Mirio appears in front of Overhaul and hits him with enough force to slam him into the ground. – "I am strong!"- He said. – "I won't let you lay a finger on Eri ever again!"-
Back with Yamikumo and Chronostasis.
Chronostasis gets up from the ground and shoots at Yamikumo who easily dodges the bullets and approaches him. – "I have only one bullet left... I have to make good use of it..."- Yamikumo tries to hit Chronostasis, but he takes advantage of the proximity to attack with his hair and cause a slight cut on Yamikumo's leg.
Yamikumo grunts in pain and Chronostasis takes the opportunity to knock him down with one blow.
Yamikumo tries to get up but notices how his body moves very slowly. – "So this is this guy's quirk."- He thought.
Hari Kurono aka Choronostasis.
Quirk: Chronostasis.
Hari's Quirk allows him to slow down the movements of anything he hits with his clock hand-like hair. The minute hands slows a target's movements for one minute and the hour hand slows a target's movements for one hour. Hari can extend his hair, but only if he is not moving.
- "Don't worry, the effect will only last a minute... but it will be enough for this..."- Chronostasis said as he points his gun at Yamikumo, but he smiles.
- "Interesting quirk... but you forgot something..."- Yamikumo said.
- "Oh... and what is that I forgot?"- Chronostasis asked.
Yamikumo smiles and suddenly gets up at high speed and hits Chronostasis hard in the face, making him crash into the wall and creating a crater in it. – "With my telekinesis I can move normally."- Yamikumo gives himself a few seconds to catch his breath. – "I need to help Mirio."-
Meanwhile with Overhaul and Mirio…
- "Chisaki!"- Mirio hits Chisaki with another punch while using his quirk to prevent Chisaki from using his quirk on him.
- "Don't call me with that name!"- Chisaki falls hard to the ground, but from his bag he takes out a pistol loaded with Quirk erasing bullets and points it, not at Mirio, but at Eri. – "What will you do now hero!?"-
- "I won't get there in time to stop him from shooting!"- Mirio thought as he runs to protect Eri. – "And I'm too far away from Eri to protect her!"-
Overhaul fires... but nothing comes out of the gun. – "What?"- Chisaki is surprised and then looks into the distance at Yamikumo who does not let the gun fire using his telekinesis. – "You!"-
- "Lemillion! Hurry up and stop him!"- Yamikumo said.
- "Thanks, Fireheart!"- Mirio said and tried to charge at Chisaki, but then a gunshot was heard stopping him.
Chisaki and Mirio turn to look at the direction of the shot and see Yamikumo with his eyes open, behind him is Chronostasis with his gun pointed at him.
- "The last bullet... I couldn't waste it..."- Chronostasis said.
Yamikumo can only feel how his telekinesis disappears, he can feel how the fire is leaving, he no longer has that feeling of being able to manipulate fire.
- "Good job, Chrono!"- Chisaki said and turned to aim at Eri. – "Let's see if you can keep your word... hero!"-
Eri just closed her eyes and gritted her teeth as she saw that they had shot at her. While Mirio took a big leap to go straight to Eri.
Mirio was already close to her, but he knew he couldn't get her out of the way.
With his hand he gently touched her head, making Eri open her eyes again to see Mirio smiling at her.
Lemillion's eyes widened in pain as he felt the bullet hit his back, but the blow wasn't what hurt, it was what he felt throughout his body after receiving the impact.
Yamikumo can only see how Mirio suffered the same fate as him.
- "You failed... heroes."- Chronostasis said, which made Yamikumo turn to look at him angrily.
- "It's disgusting that those people who have quirks think they can dream." –Chisaki said, standing up. – "Thinking that they can become someone. They are all completely sick! They can take that power away from the human being thanks to the power of that girl you tried to save…the power you worked so hard to cultivate…. It has just been reduced to nothing!" –
But immediately, Overhaul was attacked by the unconscious body of Chronostasis that Yamikumo threw at him, and just when he gets rid of it he is received by a punch from Mirio.
- "You're wrong! Nothing we have done will be for nothing!" - Mirio said while Yamikumo comes to his side and they both get into a fighting position. - "We will always be Lemillion and Fireheart!"-
Chisaki, tired of so much heroism, attacks Mirio with his hands, but he dodges it, allowing Yamikumo to attack Chisaki with a kick to the face.
Chisaki gets even more upset and tries to touch Yamikumo with his hands, but he manages to grab him by the wrists and immobilize him long enough for Mirio to punch him in the stomach.
Chisaki recoils from the blow and puts his hands on the ground, attacking Yamikumo and Mirio with several spikes of earth.
Seeing this, they both jump to avoid the spikes, Yamikumo taking Eri in his arms to take her out of danger.
Chisaki runs and tries to attack Yamikumo but is stopped by a blow to his arm by Mirio.
Yamikumo takes advantage of this to hit Chisaki with a kick to the chin which knocked him down and managed to remove his mask.
Chisaki gets up and looks at his mask, it's broken... - "You… You will pay for that…"- Chisaki looks at Yamikumo and Mirio angrily.

15 minutes passed since Mirio and Yamikumo reached them.
5 minutes since they were hit by the quirk nullifying bullet.
Despite being two against one, they had the disadvantage, yet they fought approximately a third of the battle without Quirk...
Mirio and Yamikumo's condition was pitiful...parts of their suits were destroyed and stained with blood, their blood.
Some ground stakes pierced parts of their bodies.
But even so, they were still standing, right in front of a stunned and crying Eri.
They had protected her….until the last second!
- "You wanted to be heroes, and save Eri, Lemillion, Fireheart,"- Said Chisaki, who was in a worn state full of blows, and with his left hand touching the ground while his right arm hung uselessly. – "All because of that disgusting disease that infects this entire era…..I will cure all the deceived people like you…..with the power of Eri." –
Chisaki was so busy looking at the duo that he didn't notice how one of the walls next to him had been destroyed and something or rather someone had shot out of it.
- "Smash!"-
Reinforcements have arrived.

Yes, I know... I know I said this would be the chapter that would conclude the fight... but it went on longer than I expected!
Looking on the bright side... this isn't over yet!
Speaking of the chapter... Mirio and Yami have lost their quirks?!
Interesting turn of events... how do you think this will affect the future?
Well nothing, the next chapter, this time for real, will end this battle, I promise, no matter how long the chapter is.
