43. Chapter 43: The rescue begins

Chapter 43.

The rescue begins.

7:00 AM

Every day that passes, every day Aizawa wonders why he decided to become a teacher.

Usually Aizawa doesn't go to his class dorms, usually he waits for them in the classroom, but now it's different, there's some announcements he needed to deliver.

Although Aizawa prefers to make any announcement in the classroom, this time Nezu suggested, forced, that he go to the dormitories to give the announcements to his class.

Upon arrival, Aizawa is confused when he sees footprints on the ground in the direction of the UA exit, at first he ignores them, probably old footprints, but all his alarms go off when he sees his student, Kinoko Komori, lying on the bench outside the dorms.

Aizawa quickly checks the girl's pulse and calms down a little when he sees that the girl is fine, then he carefully analyzes the footprints on the ground... they are recent, at most they were made two hours ago.

- "I just hope my intuition fails me..."- Aizawa thought as he took the girl in his arms and quickly entered the dorms.

Those who were awake were surprised to see their teacher suddenly enter the dorms.

Aizawa looks at who is awake, Iida, Yaoyorozu, Midoriya and Todoroki are the ones who are awake, the others are probably waking up or are already awake but are in their own rooms.

- "Aizawa-sensei... is something wrong?"- Iida asks but is surprised to see his partner in his teacher's arms, obviously unconscious. – "Komori-san! What happened to her?!"-

Aizawa doesn't respond as he leaves Kinoko lying on the couch. – "Iida, gather all your classmates here!"- He said. – "Now!"-

- "Yes sensei!"- Paying attention to Aizawa, Iida quickly went to gather the rest of his classmates.

- "Aizawa-sensei, what's happening?"- Izumi asked.

- "When the others arrive I will explain it to you... first I want to make sure of something."- Aizawa said.

A few minutes later, the entire class 1-A is gathered in the living room, well, almost the entire class, one person is missing.

After counting heads, Aizawa sighs, unfortunately his intuition was right. - "I knew it... we're missing one person."- Aizawa said. – "Iida... couldn't you find Atanagi?"-

- "No... he wasn't in his room and some of his things were missing." – Iida said.

- "Aizawa-sensei... we're all here now... or almost all of us... can you tell us what's happening?"- Izumi said.

Aizawa looks at Izumi and then lets out a sigh, he has no choice. - "I think someone managed to infiltrate these dormitories and kidnap Atanagi."- This surprises and shocks everyone, for a few seconds no one speaks.

A few seconds later the panic spreads. - "Atanagi was kidnapped?!"-

- "That's impossible!"-

- "What the f*ck?!"-

- "Everyone! Calm down for a moment!"- Iida said. – "We are all worried, but there is no point in losing our composure! We should listen to Aizawa-sensei!"-

- "It's hard to stay calm when hearing that news!"-

- "I know! I am also shocked and worried..."- Iida said. – "But I'm sure Atanagi-kun would tell us that getting desperate and panicking wouldn't solve anything."-

- "Iida-kun is right, Atanagi-kun would tell us that to think of a solution we should be calm."- Izumi said. - "Let's listen to Aizawa-sensei first..."-

- "Thank you, Midoriya, Iida."- Aizawa said. – "When I came here I found some footprints leading towards the exit, at first I didn't care about it, but then I found your classmate unconscious outside."-

- "That's why you asked Iida-kun to gather us all here... to confirm your suspicions."- Momo said.

- "Exactly."- Aizawa said.

- "What are we going to do now?"- Kaminari asked.

- "I don't know... the only one who probably knows something is your classmate."- Aizawa said pointing to Kinoko who is still unconscious on the couch. – "But I don't think she can tell us anything now... so for now I'll go with Nezu and we'll check the cameras, they probably recorded something, at least we'll know the identity of the kidnappers."-

- "And what do we do?"- Izumi asked.

- "For now, you stay here, take care of your classmate."- Aizawa said. – "If she wakes up and manages to tell you something, don't hesitate to let me know."-

After saying this, Aizawa leaves the building towards UA.

When Aizawa leaves everyone stays quiet, the mood completely faded.

After a few minutes, the atmosphere relaxed a little, but everyone is still worried about what happened, at that moment Kinoko finally wakes up. – "Komori-san!"- Everyone approaches the girl to make sure she is okay.

- "Are you okay?!"-

- "You need something?!"-

- "What happened?!"-

- "I…I…"- Kinoko tried to speak but having so many people in front of her overwhelmed her.

- "Calm down!"- Iida said getting in front of everyone. – "Give her room to breathe!"-

Thanks to Iida, everyone moved away a little to give the girl space. – "Thanks Iida... I think I need some water..."- Kinoko said.

- "Here!"- Kirishima gives Kinoko a glass of water.

- "Thanks... I think I'm better now."- Kinoko said. – "I guess you want to know what happened."-

- "If you feel good to tell it, then please do so."- Izumi said.

- "Atanagi-kun... he was..."-

- "Kidnapped, we know. Aizawa-sensei told us."- Izumi said. - "Do you know anything about who they were?"-

- "Yes... there were five people... four men and one woman."- Kinoko said. – "They called themselves... the Bronze Guard." –

- "Anything else you can tell us?"- Kaminari asked.

- "All the men were dressed the same, white suits with a coat over their shoulders, except the leader, who was shirtless."- Kinoko said. – "The woman is wearing a white dress and heels, but she also has a white coat over her shoulders."-

- "Do you know if they are working for anyone?" –

- "Yes... they mentioned Tomura... I think they may be allied with the league of villains."-

- "League of villains?!"-

- "Those bastards!"-

- "Do you know where they went?!"- Izumi asked.

- "N-No… I'm sorry… I was knocked out before I knew where they went."- Kinoko said.

- "And since Atanagi-kun still hasn't recovered his quirk... he couldn't exert any resistance."- Momo said. – "We just have to wait and see if Aizawa-sensei and Nezu manage to get something from watching the cameras..."-

- "In fact... I think I can do something to find out where they went." – Kinoko said. – "But I'll need a cell phone, mine is in my room."-

- "You can use mine."- Momo said handing her phone to Kinoko.

Kinoko takes the phone and starts doing things. - "Yami-kun taught me a way to track a phone with another..."- Kinoko said.

- "I didn't know you could do that... I thought they had to have one person share their location with another to be able to do that..."- Momo said.

- "It's something like that... you force someone else's phone number to give you the route it has taken."- Kinoko said.

- "That should be illegal..."- Kaminari said.

- "W-Well... let's say it is."- Kinoko said.

- "That's illegal?!"-

- "Y-Yes... but I think we could overlook it right now."- Kinoko said.

- "Desperate times call for desperate measures, I guess."- Iida said. – "This is a special situation... so we can ignore it."-

- "Done!"- Kinoko said and showed the cell phone to the others, it shows a map with a marked route. – "It doesn't tell you exactly the address, but it shows you the route that this phone has taken."-

- "It seems they went through the woods... they haven't traveled that far..."- Izumi said. - "They are probably being careful not to attract attention."-

- "That's good! We have to take this to Aizawa-sensei!"- Momo said. – "Iida, you can use your quirk to get there quickly!"-

- "I…"- Iida was going to agree, but looking at Izumi's face made him think about it. – "I... still feel a little tired from yesterday's training... my legs are not completely cold yet..."-

- "Oh... I'm sorry, I didn't think about that..."- Momo said. – "In that case I'll take it, I'm the vice president of the class for a reason."-

Momo quickly heads to the exit of the dorms. - "I'll try not to take too long!"-

- "Alright! Now they can rescue Atanagi!"-

- "I didn't know that cellphone technique..."-

- "And you shouldn't either... it's illegal for a reason."-

The mood of the place quickly rose, however there is one person who was still not satisfied, Izumi approaches Kinoko with cell phone in hand. – "Komori-san… Could you please do the same with my cell phone?"- This surprises everyone, or almost everyone, what is the girl up to?

- "I knew it..."- Iida thought. – "You want to rescue him... don't you?"-

- "I… I guess I can..."- Kinoko said taking Izumi's cell phone. – "But… Why?"-

Izumi hesitated to say... but now is not the time to lie... with a serious face she answers the question. – "I'm going after them…"- She said.

This takes everyone by surprise. - "Are you crazy?!"-

- "That's dangerous!"-

- "You should leave that to the professionals!"-

- "I know I should leave it to the professionals but..."- Izumi said. – "Eri's rescue took weeks to organize... I know this is different but... maybe by the time the professionals are going to act it will be too late..."-

- "But wouldn't you get in trouble?"- Sero said. – "You would be acting without permission. You could get expelled."-

- "I have my provisional license... it allows me to act in any emergency, the kidnapping of a classmate is an emergency."- Izumi said. – "And even if I am expelled... if that means saving Atanagi-kun... I'll do it!"-

- "Midoriya…"- Kinoko said handing Izumi her phone. – "Please save Yami-kun... I would go with you but I'm still overwhelmed by what happened."-

- "Don't worry Komori-san... I'll come back with him."- Izumi said and heads to the exit of the dorms, but someone stops her by grabbing her shoulder.

- "Midoriya, wait!" - Kirishima said.

- "Kirishima-kun… please let me go..."- Izumi said. – "No matter what you tell me... I don't plan on stopping."-

- "I know…"- Kirishima said. – "I don't plan to stop you... I'm coming with you!"-

- "Kirishima! You too?!"-

- "Midoriya is right! Atanagi is the manliest person I know..."- Kirishima said. – "I can't let some villains take him away!"-

- "Kirishima-kun… thank you."- Izumi said.

Kirishima smiles and they both head for the exit but are stopped by Iida who stands in front of them.

- "I can't let you guys go."- Iida said.

- "Very good, Iida! Give them some common sense!"-

- "That's our class president!"-

- "Iida-kun…"- Izumi said.

- "Komori-san said it... there are five of them... even if Atanagi-kun joins you in battle you will be at a numerical disadvantage..."- Iida said. – "So I'll go with you too!"-

- "Iida! You too?!"-

- "You must be the voice of reason!"-

- "I know I should be the first to try to stop them... but this time I can't." – Iida said. – "If it weren't for Atanagi-kun, Todoroki-kun and Midoriya-san... I would have committed acts that I would have regretted... I have to return the favor!"-

- "Iida-kun... very well, let's go!"- Izumi said.

- "Wait, I'm coming too!"- Kaminari said as he arrives and adjusts his glasses along with his disc launcher on his wrist.

- "Where did you get that?"- Jiro asked.

- "I forgot to put it in my briefcase..."- Kaminari said. – "That's not important! Atanagi has helped me progress a lot, I have to thank him in some way!"-

- "Well said, Kaminari!"- Kirishima said.

Without further ado, the group of now four leaves the dorms, but outside they are stopped by someone. – "Hey, idiots! Don't think you can go..."- Bakugo yelled at them.

- "Kachan…"- Izumi tried to explain her reasons but stops when she sees the smile on Bakugo's face.

- "Don't think you can go without me!"- Bakugo said.

- "Bakugo! I didn't expect you to join us!"- Kirishima said.

- "I knew you had a soft spot!"- Kaminari said.

- "Shut up, Idiot!"- Bakugo said. – "I'm going to show Scars that I'm better than him! I want to see his face when I save him!"-

- "Of course that's your reason..."- Iida said.

- "Any reason is valid... I guess..."- Kirishima said.

- "Very good! With Bakugo we are five!"- Kirishima said. – "Just the right number of people to match the group of villains!"-

- "Let's not waste more time! Let's go!"- Izumi said Izumi said and the five of them leave in the direction of UA's exit.

Meanwhile, Todoroki just watches as the five leave. – "I'm surprised you didn't sign up too."- Kinoko said.

- "I don't lack desire... but it would cause more problems for them."- Todoroki said. – "Izumi is right about the licenses... but I don't have mine yet... if I join them I could cause problems for them."-

- "I see…"- Kinoko said. – "It must be ugly to want to help but not be able to..."-

- "Yes… it is."- Todoroki said.

Once at the exit of UA Izumi stops to say a few words before leaving. – "Before leaving... if anyone wants to return you can do so now."- Izumi said. – "I don't want you guys to come if you feel obligated... I don't want you to get hurt because of me."-

Iida places his hand on Izumi's shoulder. - "Don't worry about us..."- He said. – "We all come by our own decision."-

- "Just like you, we want to save Atanagi."- Kaminari said.

- "We all know the risks, but we are willing to take them."- Kirishima said.

- "Stop crying once and for all Deku! I'm not going to back down from anything!"- Bakugo said.

Izumi smiles. - "Thanks…"- Izumi extends her hand to the center of the five. – "Alright, we're all in this together!"-

Iida puts his hand on Izumi's. - "Together we will save Atanagi-kun!"- He said.

Kirishima joins. - "And we will catch the villains!"- He said.

Kaminari joins. - "And we will return safe and sound!"- He said.

Bakugo just watches, refusing to put his hand with the rest. – "I'm not doing that…"-

- "Come on! Don't be a party pooper!"- Kaminari said.

- "I know you're dying to do it...swallow your pride for once man!"- Kirishima said.

- "Whatever…"- Bakugo puts his hand with the rest. – "Let's get this over with!"-

- "Heroes on three…"- Izumi said. – "One… Two… Three!"-

- "Heroes!"-

Without further delay, Izumi takes out her phone and the five begin to follow the indicated path through the forests near UA.

Principal's office.

- "Interesting..."- Aizawa said while looking at the cell phone with the route marked. – "I didn't know it was possible to do this... but this benefits us a lot."-

- "Yes, Komori-san also gave us some information about the enemies, they are a group of five called the Bronze Guard and apparently they are allied with the league of villains."- Momo said.

- "I see…"- Nezu said. – "In that case we must act carefully but quickly, we cannot allow..."- Nezu was interrupted when one of his monitors went off with an alarm.

- "And now what?"- Aizawa asked.

Nezu looks at the monitor and laughs when he sees what's happening. – "It seems like they're already ahead of us."- Nezu said.

- "What are you talking about?"- Aizawa asked.

- "The scanners have detected five students leaving UA."- Nezu said.

- "What?!"- Momo said.

- "Izumi Midoriya, Tenya Iida, Eijiro Kirishima, Denki Kaminari, and Katsuki Bakugo have left UA, likely following the trail of their missing classmate."- Nezu said.

Aizawa pinches the bridge of his nose in irritation, but at the same time somewhat proud and worried about his students. - "That problem child has convinced her classmates to go after Atanagi..."- Aizawa said. – "I guess there's nothing we can do to prevent it...they have their licenses and can act in an emergency."-

- "That gives us time to plan things, even if they don't manage to defeat the villains, they will be able to hold them off enough time so that reinforcements can arrive."- Nezu said. – "Aizawa, gather heroes to support the students, I also need you to do something for me."-

- "And what will you do?"- Aizawa asked.

Nezu picks up a phone and dials a number. - "I'm going to make an important call."-

The rescue group moves at high speed through the forest, jumping from tree to tree for better mobility in the forest.

- "We are near the end of the route!"- Izumi said. – "Keep your eyes open!"-

- "Midoriya is more excited than usual!"- Kirishima said.

- "That's because we're going to rescue her brother!"- Kaminari said, this surprises Izumi so much that she almost trips over a tree branch.

- "What was that?!"- Izumi asked.

- "Right... you don't know."- Kaminari said. – "Todoroki and Ashido have a theory that you and Atanagi are brothers separated at birth." –

- "What?!"- Izumi asked.

- "Seriously, everyone in our group within class A has heard about this, right Iida?"- Kaminari said.

Iida hesitates to answer but finally does. - "Yes…"- He said.

- "You have to admit it makes sense." – Kaminari said. – "Leaving aside the difference in gender, height and Atanagi's scars, you two look alike."-

- "I have to admit it makes sense...although their quirks are different."- Kirishima said. – "Midoriya has her super strength along with those black whips and Atanagi has his fire and telekinesis."-

- "Fire and telekinesis..."- Bakugo said joining the conversation. – "Aren't those your parents' quirks?"-

- "What are you talking about, Bakugo?"- Kirishima asked.

- "Auntie Inko, Deku's mother, has a telekinesis quirk, while her father can breathe fire."- Bakugo said. – "If you combine both quirks you get..."-

- "Atanagi's Pyro-Telekinesis!"- Kaminari said. – "Now there is more evidence that confirms the theory! I can't wait to tell Todoroki and Ashido about this!"-

- "Attention! We have people ahead!"- Iida said.

Ahead of them are a total of five people, four belonging to the Bronze Guard and the other being Yamikumo, the five walking calmly through the forest.

- "Can't we go faster?"- The woman on the team asks.

- "We don't want to draw attention"- The leader said.

At that, without the leader realizing it, Izumi appears on top of him, with a punch ready, however…

- "You took a while to arrive..."- The leader said and at that, the fifth member of the Bronze Guard appeared and attacked Izumi with a punch which was blocked, he still managed to throw Izumi back.

Iida catches Izumi and they both land on the ground without any damage, along with Kirishima, Kaminari, and Bakugo.

- "The rescue team has arrived."- The leader said. – "Although I expected professional heroes, not students."-

- "How the hell could they follow us?"- Yamikumo thought. – "No... this wasn't supposed to happen!"-

- "Give us back Atanagi-kun!"- Izumi said.

– "Sorry girl, even if you ask us like that we can't do it."- The leader said.

- "Leader Hone, let me take care of these students!"- The member who attacked Izumi said. – "You continue on your way!"-

- "Are you sure about this, Techno?"- The leader, now identified as Hone, said.

- "Don't worry, they're just students, I'll fight them."- The member, now identified as Techno, said.

Techno is a man of great stature, being the second tallest below his leader, he has a muscular body, brown eyes and is completely bald, his clothing is the same as that of the men of the Bronze Guard, an elegant white suit, and a white coat over his shoulders, finally, a bronze ornament on the left shoulder of the coat.

- "As you wish."- Hone said. – "Alright, the rest of us let's go!"- Quickly the rest of the members of the Bronze Guard along with Yamikumo leave quickly, jumping between the trees, there is no need to be careful anymore.

- "I praise your bravery in following us... but this is as far as you'll get!"- Techno said.

Another chapter finished and yeah.

We start with this new arc, the last one of the UA saga (I sounds like a broken radio when repeating that phrase a lot).

The rescue team is armed and ready, let's just hope everything goes well, The Bronze Guard are formidable enemies, Will our heroes be able to defeat them?

The next chapter we will continue with the rescue operation.
