On behalf of myself and daniel, welcome to the second chapter of the Nazarick Triumvirate! We appreciate all the love and support shown so far and hope you continue to show such support on this and every chapter to come!
First of all, thank you to some of the reviewers for our first chapter, as thanks to them and my co-author, I was pointed to some rather embarrassing yet hilarious grammatical areas that would've had Henry and Momonga at 6 and a half inches tall instead of 6 and a half feet. As the Guest reviewer comically pointed out, would anyone have taken those two seriously at only a few inches tall? Thankfully I have corrected that mistake and they are back at their normal heights.
And also thank you to our first reviewer, RonaldM40196867, for not only the review but also for pointing me to some potential art for Demiurge's 7 Evil Lords. Like I said to him and my co-author, I am not sure if I am going to use all 7 in the story yet, but if I do, I will definitely be referencing those images he linked to me. If anyone is curious, search for JupaGo25 on DeviantArt and search 'Evil Lords' in his collections. Not only are the images gorgeous, but the descriptions he did for them are tremendously detailed regarding their personalities, abilities and so on and well worth the read!
As for your review, Eddie0020…everyone is entitled to their opinion, positive and negative. All we can say is thank you for attempting to give it a go, and please don't try and force yourself to read the following chapter and those to come if this isn't your cup of tea.
daniel: Hello again! Like my good friend said welcome back and thank you for all the feedback! The making of this story is way more exciting than I ever thought it was going to be! And sorry in advance if some of the following chapter is a bit cringe, it just honestly felt like how a gamer/otaku who never had a girlfriend would act if one of the women of his dreams was suddenly hopelessly in love with him
With all that out of the way, here is Chapter 2 of the Nazarick Triumvirate! As always, the usual disclaimer that neither I nor daniel own Overlord or any of its characters, locations, events or anything else related to the anime, manga or Light Novels. The only things we own are our OCs, Henry and Fengxian. ENJOY!
Chapter 2 – A Few Tests
00:00:01
00:00:02
As the clock continued ticking past the announced shutdown time, they found themselves still in their character bodies and still logged into the game. The same exact thought passed through each of their heads at exactly the same time
"WHAT THE FUCK?!"
~TNT~
As the seconds continued to tick, the three remaining members of Ainz Ooal Gown kept expecting to be yanked out of YGGDRASIL and back into the real world at any second. But with every second that passed, nothing happened, and in these few seconds, several things became apparent to them all.
First, they no longer felt like players controlling an avatar. For each of them, they became instantly hyper-aware of each of their forms. For Momonga, it was the overwhelming amount of magical power coursing through his body and the uncomfortable feeling of being a skeleton literally being held together by magic. For Henry, it was the large number of hormones triggering greater-than-normal feelings of lust and desire for those he had longed desired as well as an urge to protect those close to him like they were his own brood. And for Fengxian, he suddenly felt calm and controlled as several different calculations as to their current situation started flitting through his mind…but where those thoughts had originated from, he couldn't tell…they were just…there.
Second of all, all of their senses felt suddenly real. Though the interface that allowed them to dive into YGGDRASIL was good at simulating each of the five senses, it shouldn't be able to replicate them fully. Both Fengxian and Henry noticed this first as their hands were laid on the side of the throne, a throne that now felt like a real object instead of a simulated version they could interact with. And as they all looked up, they saw each of the banners on the ceiling mildly flapping around as though they were being buffeted by a small breeze whereas before they remained completely static.
"What the hell just happened? Is this a new patch or something, or did the developers suddenly decide to push back the server shutdown?" Henry asked before clutching his hands to his mouth in disbelief since the voice that had come out wasn't his usual tone, a reaction shared by not just himself but the others as well. Though it still sounded relatively young, it carried a much richer and more eloquent tone to it as though it had been worked on for years.
"I just tried to activate my menu and interface, but nothing's come up. Everything from our usual HUD has…" Whatever Fengxian was about to say petered out as he as well couldn't believe the dull and echoed tone of his voice, no doubt being caused by the helmet he was wearing. "Hang on…let me try and remove the headset manually…" He put his armoured hands over where the headset would be on his head, but instead of the light material that it was made out of he instead felt only the solid metal of his helm. He still tried anyway, but only succeeded in pulling off his helm and revealing his disfigured face to everyone around him. "Okay, that failed…just what the heck is going on here?" With his helm removed, his voice came out in an unusually cold and almost guttural-like tone, almost as if his voice too was designed to be the antithesis to the clear, musical voice of angels.
Before Momonga could respond to the queries raised by his guild-mates, another voice spoke up that left all three of them momentarily stunned. "Is something wrong, my lords?"
The same thought then ran through each of their minds once again. "Isn't that HER voice?" And sure enough, as they all turned to face the source of the gentle, angelic voice, they beheld Albedo looking up at the three of them, an expression of worry etched all over her beautiful face.
This didn't make sense to any of them. The NPCs shouldn't be able to change their expressions unless they were programmed, nor should they be able to speak outside of the default lines that their creators gave them, but here was Albedo staring at them all like she could actually see them. And it wasn't just her. As their gazes wandered over Albedo momentarily and down to the base of the throne, they saw Sebas and the Pleiades also watching them with similar expressions of concern.
"D-did you just say something, Albedo?" Henry asked somewhat falteringly.
"My Lord…is everything okay?" Albedo repeated, this time directing her gaze and question specifically at Henry.
"My lord Henry…if something is troubling you, please inform me and I shall do all in my power to aid you in resolving it," Sebas then spoke up in a calm and smooth voice. Hearing Sebas speak as well was even more of a shock to not only Henry but the others as well.
"This isn't possible…I'm having a conversation with two NPCs who are speaking as though they are real people…just what on earth is happening here?!" The Dragonoid thought to himself frantically. "Damnit, I ought to say something, otherwise they'll begin to worry…but I have no idea what to say!"
Fortunately for Henry, it was as if Momonga was reading his mind as he spoke up instead. "Our apologies, Albedo, and you as well Sebas, we just had a brief moment of shock whilst getting our bearings," he replied in a calm, deep voice that almost seemed to throb with power as he tried to pull up the menu for himself. "Hmm…it seems even the GM call function isn't working, which means we can't get a hold of any of the developers. How troubling…"
"I am sorry, my lords, but this GM call magic you refer to is beyond my comprehension to understand," Albedo then said apologetically, her head bowed in shame. "Please forgive me for being unable to assist you."
Her tone of voice made something twinge deep inside of Henry. He suddenly had a strong desire to comfort and take away any guilt or shame Albedo may be feeling and do all he could to put a smile back on her face. "There is nothing to forgive Albedo…we are only barely able to comprehend it ourselves and are still working to understand it," he replied instantly in a tone that was both magnanimous and gentle and which caused Albedo to look up at him with a radiant smile, which in turn caused his heart rate, which had risen upon first getting a whiff of her scent which smelt like fresh flowers, to rise even more. "Wait?! I can smell her too?! This is getting more confusing by the second! And what am I feeling all of a sudden? I knew I already was smitten with her, but all of sudden it's like those feelings have expanded tenfold…and more than that, they feel…right." His thoughts were suddenly interrupted as he heard Fengxian's voice speak directly into his mind.
(Let's see…Message…Momonga, Henry, can you both hear me?)
"Hold on…that's the Message function! How is he able to do that without typing anything?" Henry and Momonga both thought to themselves.
(If you both can hear me, that means the Message function is working like it's an actual spell. Just concentrate and try to deliberately send your thoughts to myself and each other…it's what I'm doing right now.)
(Henry, Fengxian…are you both receiving me?) Momonga's voice echoed in Henry and Fengxian's minds simultaneously.
(I hear you both…can you both hear me too?) Henry's voice followed up a moment later.
(Heard you both loud and clear, good…it's working as it did in the game,) Fengxian's voice came back a moment later. (We need to quickly figure out what's going on before the NPCs start worrying over us again. Can one of you make an excuse to them that we need a few moments?)
(Leave it to me) Henry replied in a manner that sounded much more confident than the usual shy tones he communicated with in the real world before openly addressing Albedo and the others. "The three of us need to converse between ourselves for a few moments, so if you could hang on until we're done then we'll be right with you."
"Of course, my lords. We stand ready to assist whenever you have need of us," Albedo complied instantly as both Sebas and the Pleiades maids all nodded their agreement with her words.
~TNT~
(Okay, that should give us a minute or two to figure this out. Either of you got a clue what is going on?) Henry began (Because last time I checked Albedo and the others shouldn't be talking as though they are alive, nor should I be able to smell her scent so clearly!)
(YGGDRASIL was nothing like this) Fengxian added, replacing his helm. (This can't be some update that the developers decided to tag on at the last moment. There isn't any form of technology capable of making all of this feel so real.)
(It's not just the environment and the NPCs around us that feel real…my avatar feels real as well.) Momonga said next (I feel many times stronger and smarter than I ever did in the real world, and I'm able to recall all of the spells I learned and was able to cast back in YGGDRASIL)
(It's not just you Suzi…I feel the same) Henry clarified. (I feel as strong magically and physically as my character does, and my feelings of arousal and protection are through the roof. I simultaneously am determined to figure this out to keep us all safe whilst at the same time wanting to run over and rip the clothes off of Albedo and the others!)
(I feel the same as you both…I feel as physically strong and militarily smart as I made Fengxian, and my armour isn't weighing me down at all.) Fengxian's mind was in overdrive trying to calculate any possible scenario that made sense of all of this, of which there was only one. It seemed unbelievable to him, but with all the facts laid out by himself and the others, it was the only one that was feasible. (Guys…I know this is going to sound crazy but I swear, it's the only conclusion that could possibly make sense. I think this game, or what was this game, has just become reality for us.)
(Our new reality…hold on a moment Ki…are you thinking what I'm thinking?) Momonga asked.
(I think he is, and now that I think about it, it makes so much sense.) Henry added (Guys…I think…)
(…WE'VE BEEN ISEKAI'D INTO YGGDRASIL?!) All three of them shouted to each other at the same time as massive waves of various emotions suddenly filled all three of them. As well as being avid gamers, all three of them were huge otakus that frequently indulged in anime, manga and Light Novels in the spare time they had when not playing YGGDRASIL, and though they each were a fan of multiple different genres, their overarching favourite had to be the Transported to Another World genre, or Isekai as it was commonly known in Japan.
The reason they all had these mixed feelings going through their heads was that, as genre-savvy Otakus, they were all very much aware that being Isekai'd into a new world could either be an incredible power fantasy where your wildest dreams could come true or a hellish deconstruction meant to put those transported through the wringer all the while throwing back the common Isekai tropes they knew so well back in their faces in the worst possible ways.
All three had read many, many different Isekais where the latter had been the case, causing many memories of some of the worst they'd read to assault their thoughts: betrayals, false rape accusations, being left to die in monster-infested hellholes, false heroes, corrupt monarchies and religions that wanted you to suffer as much as possible, dying over and over again, each death worse than the last with no end in sight while not being able to tell anybody about it and stories where the protagonists lost their humanity and compassion for the sake of getting their revenge in most painful ways possible, sometimes at the expense of the friends and companions they would run into along the way.
That's why all three of them were really hoping that in their case it would be the former scenario they'd ended up in, but that didn't mean they were going to act and behave as though all was fine and dandy. All three of them decided in that instant that until they were sure that was the case, they would approach everything with caution, planning and the utmost care just in case things went south.
(Okay then, we're all agreed then that we're in a new world then?) Momonga asked. Both Henry and Fengxian physically nodded their agreement. (We need to be careful then. Even though we feel really powerful, we can't assume that will mean everything will be smooth sailing for us from here on out.)
(Agreed. Time to enact Isekai Survival Rules 101) Henry spoke up, referring to the four 'guidelines' the three had agreed upon should they ever find themselves in a new world. (Let's see…oh yeah, the 1st and most important rule: We don't assume this new world is going to be all sunshine, rainbows, power fantasies and harems. Instead, we assume the absolute worst and get ready to pull out of a situation if it feels like it'll lead to a deconstruction of the common Isekai tropes.)
(Rule number two: We never buy into any religious doctrine, especially from the fanatical types or those who discriminate against non-humans) Fengxian added.
(Absolutely, those never end well.) Momonga agreed. (Rule number three: Find out what tropes work or apply to this new world and use them to our advantage whilst evading potential deconstructed tropes like the plague.)
(Fourth and final rule: Take time to learn the power system of this world, and only when we fully understand it, we break it and become over-powered as hell should the opportunity arise) Henry concluded. (Sounds like we're all on the same page with that so…what now?)
(We need to establish where we are. Just because we've been Isekai'd doesn't mean we'll be in the world of YGGDRASIL itself) Fengxian reasoned. (Plus, we need to establish if the NPCs…and we'll need to get out of the habit of saying that over time…will be able to understand and carry out commands.)
(Good idea) Momonga communicated to them both before disconnecting the Message magic temporarily as he directed his attention towards Sebas and the Pleiades maids who were still dutifully standing at attention. "Sebas!"
"My lord…do you have orders for me?" Sebas replied as he stepped before the throne and knelt.
"We need to establish whether we are in familiar or unfamiliar surroundings. I want you to take Lupusregina and CZ and scout the area around the Tomb," Momonga ordered. "Do not go further than 1 kilometre away from Nazarick and do not engage any hostiles. Once you've gotten a clear assessment of our location, report back to us at once."
"Of course, my lord. I shall see to it immediately," the elderly butler responded promptly, motioning for the aforementioned Pleaides maids to join him as he exited the Throne Room.
"Yuri Alpha," Fengixan followed up, causing the mentioned maid to kneel before the throne. "Take the other Pleiades and position yourself at the entrances to the Ninth and Tenth floors just in case we suffer an unexpected invasion from an unknown party."
"Understood my lord," Yuri replied crisply before following on behind Sebas with Narberal, Solution and Entoma. With their departure, the only person remaining in the throne room with them was Albedo.
(Are you expecting to us be attacked, Ki?) Henry asked his friend as Sebas and the maids left the room.
(It's best to be prepared for any unexpected variable, Ise. We're in a new world now and should be prepared for anything as a result) Fengxian clarified, his heightened military intellect providing him with the reason he'd just given to the others.
(That was a smart move, Ki. Hopefully nothing will happen but it's good to be prepared) Momonga complimented the towering Nephilim. (Now that we've taken care of scouting our surroundings and establishing that Sebas and the others will listen to us…what next?)
(I say we test some of our physical and magical capabilities, along with any physical restrictions that may or may not be in place) Fengxian reasoned.
"Do you have any orders for me, my lords?" Albedo asked. "I stand ready to serve in any way you require…" These last words, and her gaze which conveyed desire and longing, were especially directed at Henry who suddenly felt a blush creep to his cheeks as his heart rate skyrocketed.
(The way she's looking at you, Henry…she really wants you to jump her bones and shag her right here) Momonga spoke up with a chuckle before speaking aloud. "In a moment Albedo. But first I believe our Grand Marshal here wishes to give myself and my Heir a demonstration of his skills. Isn't that right, my friend?"
(I see what you did there Suzuki. You realised that the settings you gave Albedo before the shutdown must have applied to her now that she's alive, and applied that logic to the titles you gave us at the same time whilst allowing us a reason to test our might and magic. Nicely done) Fengxian complimented Momonga as he physically moved in front of the others and bowed shortly. "If that is what my lord and his heir desire, then I shall be happy to see it done."
(Wait…you mean the settings Suzi applied before the shutdown are now in effect?) Henry asked as Fengxian moved down into the area in front of the throne. (So not only does that mean I'm Momonga's adopted son, but I'm also the Heir of Nazarick, Ki's the Grand Marshal and…Albedo's madly in love with me?)
(Looks like one of your dreams here has come true, so make the most of it! Plus, it gives you the chance to test the physical restrictions here) Fengxian chuckled. (Now get ready to throw one of your swords at me. I want to test if I'm really skilled with all weapons).
(R-Right) Henry stammered, quickly unsheathing one of his swords as his mind slowly came to grips with the joyous realisation that the girl of his dreams actually reciprocated the feelings he'd long harboured for her. "THIS IS THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!" He screamed to himself internally as he watched Fengxian take a calm and controlled breath before reaching behind and removing his halberd from where it was strapped to his back.
As he took hold of the massive weapon in both of his hands and looked down upon it, Fengxian instantly felt at ease. It was as if he'd always known how to wield this massive weapon effectively. Shifting his grip, he held the weapon horizontally, blade pointing outward, before spinning it skilfully over and over with both arms with precise and controlled movements. After a few seconds of this, he then started alternating between swinging it in wide arcs and stabbing and thrusting with it in every possible direction.
(How does it feel, Ki) Momonga asked after a short while as he, Henry and Albedo marvelled at the skill and technique Fengxian was currently demonstrating.
(Amazing! It feels so natural, as if I was born to wield it!) Fengxian enthused as he continued to thrust, whirl and slice at the air. (Guess that proves our characters' weapons skills have carried over, but I want one more test to make sure) He then suddenly dropped his halberd before extending a hand towards the others. (Ise! Throw!)
(In a moment!) Henry called as he unsheathed his primary blade and twirled it in his hand with a skill that looked like it took several lifetimes to learn before effortlessly sheathing once again, much to the amazement of Momonga, the satisfaction of Fengxian and the elation of Albedo.
"You're so amazing, Lord Henry! As expected of my beloved" the white-robed demon gushed. Henry blushed at the way she referred to him, he could really get used to that. He shook off that thought for the moment as he drew his sword again and got himself into position
(Right, here it comes Ki!) Henry called as he powerfully launched World Breaker in Fengxian's direction. The powerful warlord catches it and in one swift motion starts slashing and thrusting rapidly in multiple different directions.
"Good…my weapon proficiency seems to be working for me. Let's see if I can test one of my skills…" If he were still playing YGGDRASIL, Fengxian would right now be queuing up the assigned macro for the skill he was about to use, but nothing like that existed in this New World. But as he pondered how to use it, knowledge of all the magic and techniques he'd acquired for his character as well as how to activate them flooded through his mind. Rather than being overwhelmed by this new knowledge, Fengxian instead held the sword out to the side and dragged his foot back. "Dark Cloaked Strike!" He roared as the power of his Darkness magic wrapped around and enhanced his movement and striking speed, causing him to flash forward faster than any normal eye could keep up with before finishing off his impromptu 'demonstration' with a rapid slash in front of him. And as he returned to a standing base, he was treated to a round of applause by the other three occupants in the room.
"Bravo, Fengxian! A most excellent display of your military prowess!" Momonga exclaimed, having deduced what Fengxian was up to when he started to activate one of his skills.
"Indeed! A display worthy of the Marshal of Nazarick!" Henry added. (How was that, Ki?) He asked his friend privately.
"Such skill! Marshal Fengxian truly is one of the greatest warriors in all of Nazarick!" Albedo joined in
(It felt so natural! When I tried to think about how to use my skill, they all came flooding into my mind at once…they'll all feel like instinct from now!) Fengxian enthused as he approached the throne once more, chucking Henry's blade back at him before kneeling before all three of them. "Thank you for your indulgence, my lords. With your permission, I would like to inspect my quarters on the Fifth Floor before we all gather on the Sixth Floor and check in on Shinozaki."
"Permission granted, Marshal Fengxian. Make sure to inform both Shinozaki and Cocytus of the situation, and bring Cocytus himself with you to the Sixth Floor," Momonga replied magnanimously.
(What're you up to, Ki? I know that weapon demonstration was another test that you masked as a show for Albedo's benefit but why do you want to head to the Fifth Floor instead of the Sixth Floor with the rest of us?) Henry asked his friend whilst also directing his message at Momonga so he could listen in as well.
"Thank you, my lord. I shall see to it at once," Fengxian responded, clasping his hands together as the ancient Chinese warlords, strategists and officials used to do when receiving a command from their superior officer or ruler before getting to his feet. (If I'm right in thinking about what you two want to test next, I don't need to be around for it. You can just let me know via the Message function. Speaking of which…I want to test whether that can work over multiple floors, along with seeing if the Ring of Ainz Ooal Gown still works how it used to).
(What do you mean what we're about to…oh…) Understanding flowed through Henry's mind alongside feelings of excitement as he tried to control the blush that was threatening to appear on his face as Fengxian moved to the centre of the Throne Room before lifting his hand.
(Okay, let's see if I can make this work just like it did with my weapon technique…) Fengxian thought out loud. He began concentrating on the ring and where in Nazarick he wished to be transported to, imagining the icy sheets and snowy backdrop along with his abode on the Fifth Floor, and as he did so he disappeared from the Throne Room in the blink of an eye to the silent astonishment of both Momonga and Henry. (Awesome, it worked! I'm right outside my dwelling on the Fifth Floor. Can you both still hear me?)
(I hear you, Ki) Momonga replied straight away.
(You're coming in loud and clear) Henry added.
(Perfect. Looks like we've established that the Ring and Message skills are working as intended. As I said out loud, I'll just go and check on my dwelling and Shinozaki, then grab Cocytus and meet you guys on the Sixth Floor. See you in a bit!) With those final words, Fengxian cut off the Message function from his end, leaving Momonga and Henry with a patiently waiting Albedo for company.
(Alright then Henry, here's the moment you've been dreaming of for yours. Go right ahead) Momonga told him, the amusement in his tone evident.
"Oh my Kami…if this is a dream, I never ever want to be awake again!" Henry thought to himself with mounting excitement, his heartrate skyrocketing and his breath quickening as he took a few paces forward until he was standing in front of the throne, facing the girl of his dreams who was watching him curiously. "Albedo…there is something I require your help with. Come over here for a moment please," he ordered her, stumbling slightly on his words as he struggled to rein in his excitement.
If Albedo had noticed his slight hesitation, she didn't show it as her eyes lit up with happiness, so delighted was she that she'd not only be able to be of help to one of the Supreme Beings but also in close proximity to the man she loved with her whole heart. Composing herself slightly as befitting the dignity of the Guardian Overseer, she bowed politely before walking over until she was standing directly before Henry. As soon as she was within touching distance, Henry raised one of his armoured hands, manually removing the armour piece in order to conduct a more accurate test and gently ran a finger down her cheek, an act that caused the normally composed Guardian to tremble in excitement.
"Wow…her skin feels so soft…and more importantly, I can feel her pulse. It's as we thought…all of the NPCs in Nazarick really are alive…" Henry marvelled as he proceeded to brush Albedo's cheek with his whole hand, an act that caused Albedo's face to blush crimson as she watched him with barely-concealed anticipation. "This also confirms we're not in YGGDRASIL anymore, since the game would never allow any 18 plus actions like this and would have kicked me straight out for even trying…"
(Not that I wish to intrude on your private moment, my friend…) Momonga's voice echoed hesitantly into his head, snapping Henry out of his daydreams. (But what's the conclusion?)
(Oh…right. Well, not only does Albedo's skin feel just like a human's, but she also has a pulse which confirms she and the others really are living and breathing just like us) He replied, extending his thoughts to Fengxian as well so that he knew whilst at the same time doing his best to currently ignore the soft sighs of pleasure coming from Albedo's mouth. (Plus I didn't get any warnings like the ones we'd get if we tried something like this in the game, so that definitely means we're not in YGGDRASIL anymore)
(Good to know. Thanks for that, Ise) Fengxian replied shortly before cutting himself off once again. But even though they'd gotten the information they needed, Henry wasn't ready to stop what he was doing just yet. His heart and body were swimming with desire for the beautiful demon in front of him and his instincts were screaming at him to kiss her and claim her as his own, a thought process he had no trouble in agreeing with.
(Um, Suzi? Would you mind turning around or something?) He hesitantly asked his friend.
(What do you…oh…) Momonga didn't know whether to chuckle in amusement or groan in embarrassment as he realised what Henry was about to do. (Tell you what, I'll get out of your way momentarily and let you have your moment…) With these words Momonga lifted himself off the Throne and, taking the Staff back into his hand, walked past the couple who were seemingly oblivious to anything else but each other and descended the steps. (Just…let me know when you're done so I know when to turn back around. Oh…and Ise?)
(Yes, Suzi?)
(Enjoy) This time Momonga did chuckle before cutting off his end of the Message communication as he reached the bottom of the stairs, leaving Henry and Albedo alone with one another. The blonde-haired Dragonoid gulped a little as he continued to guide his unarmoured hand down Albedo's magnificent body before fulfilling one of his long-standing dreams as he fondled one of her soft, firm and big breasts.
"Mhmmmmm!" The normally composed Guardian Overseer moaned in pure pleasure as she squirmed in place, her pupils dilatating, her breathing becoming ragged, her skin more flushed and her mind filling with all the things she was dying for her beloved to do to her.
'Wow! This feels way better than I ever thought it was going to be!' Henry thought to himself in amazement as he continued, his own hormones and impulses screaming at him to take the woman that had captivated him for so long to a more private location. He could feel the area around his crotch begin to feel incredibly constrictive and tight as he kept going but he managed to get a grip on himself before he went overboard. There were still things to get cleared out, he would not fall for the initial excitement and flair of an Isekai only to get screwed over later.
More importantly than that, there was this nagging feeling that since Suki had modified her to feel this way for him… he was taking advantage of Albedo. And so, albeit very reluctantly, he carefully removed his hand from Albedo's breasts, an act which went completely unnoticed by the beautiful demon as she instantly collapsed to the ground in a gooey, lovesick mess, her chest rising and falling with heavy and excited breathing.
"Albedo!" Henry exclaimed as he dove to her side, extending his arms to help her back to her feet. "Shit! Did I go too far?" "Are you okay?"
Albedo's head instantly snapped upwards, her expression and posture getting more aroused from Henry's close proximity as she even started to drool. "Oh Darling, I've never felt better!" She exclaimed sultrily as her hands began moving towards the top of her dress, her wings flapping in excitement. "Are you going to take me right here?! Should I remove my clothes or would you prefer to rip them off yourself?"
Her words caused the tightness around his crotch to get even worse. As much as Henry was incredibly tempted to give in to her wants and his increasing desire to take her right here and now, he was able to reel himself back in by reminding himself of what they still had to do. "Albedo, control yourself!" He reprimanded her, even though it hurt every fibre of his being to snap at her "This isn't the time for such things!"
Albedo's sultry demeanour instantly vanished as she lowered her head to the ground. "I'm so sorry my darling, please forgive my impulsive behaviour!" She exclaimed.
Henry's expression softened slightly as he lifted her head back up, gazing deep into her beautiful golden eyes. "My apologies Albedo, because believe me…nothing would give me greater happiness than for us to have our first time right here," he reassured her, causing the weight of the world to be lifted from her shoulders as she rewarded him with not only the biggest and most beautiful smile but also another small flap of her wings. "But before we can, we need to be aware of our current surroundings and ensure Nazarick is secure for the near future.
Albedo's eyes widened slightly in realisation, her dutiful and elegant demeanour returning in an instant. "I understand, my love," she nodded promptly. "We must ensure that Father's domain is safe."
"Father? What does she mean by…oh yeah, Suzi wrote Albedo to see Momonga as a father-like figure whose approval she desperately craves…" Henry remembered as he got to his feet, placed the armour piece back on his hand, and offered a hand to help her up. "I'm glad you understand Albedo," he replied, offering his arm to her once they were both on their feet. "Let's go and see Father and see what he wishes of us."
Albedo's eyes lit up even more as she instantly locked her arms in his offered one. "As you wish, my darling!"
"I know I'm speaking way too soon but I am LOVING this new world so far!" Henry exclaimed to himself as he and Albedo descended the steps to where Momonga was patiently waiting with his back turned to them. As their footsteps echoed on each step, Momonga turned around to face them. If his character could have smiled, he would be wearing the largest one possible right now as he watched them approach him, yet this didn't stop his insides from doing a happy dance upon seeing the loved-up glow on both of their faces.
"Was Albedo able to help you out with what you required, my son?" Momonga asked, both for his own and general clarification.
"Indeed, Father…she was most helpful," Henry replied with a short bow as Momonga now turned his gaze into Albedo.
"You have done us all a good service Albedo," he told her magnanimously, causing her wings to flutter once more. "I hope that you not only continue to serve us with such diligence but that you can also make my Heir happy."
The pride and delight welled up in Albedo at both Momonga's words and what he was implying as knelt before her father figure. "My loyalty to you both, and Lord Fengxian, shall never waver," she replied reverently. "You can expect my utmost servitude and diligence in heart, body and soul as long as I have breath in my body."
Both Momonga and Henry's hearts swelled upon hearing such a profession. "I never expected anything less of you, Guardian Overseer," Momonga said before giving out his next orders. "Henry, Fengxian and I will shortly be convening a meeting of all the Guardians at the Sixth Floor Amphitheatre where shall we wait for Sebas to return with his report. I want you to find both Shalltear and Demiurge and have them, along with yourself, convene there as soon as possible. Since Gargantua, Victim and Pandora's Actor are not required to attend, have them remain where they are for now and we shall check in on them later. Also, do not worry about Aura and Mare, we will inform them ourselves."
"As you wish, my lord Momonga. I shall carry out your orders without fail!" She rose to her feet and gave Henry one last, adoring look before gracefully heading out of the Throne Room, leaving Momonga and Henry alone.
(So then Ise…was that everything you ever dreamed of?) Momonga jibed as they watched Albedo leave.
(Everything and so much more…just on that experience alone, I think I'm going to love this new world…) Henry replied almost dazedly, so captivated was he by Albedo's swaying hips as she walked.
(If you're just about finished ogling Albedo, we have a meeting on the Sixth Floor to get to) Momonga reminded his fellow Supreme Being, his tone a mix of exasperation and amusement.
(Oh yeah…meeting. Let's go) Henry replied as he gave his head a quick shake to clear his mind, his long golden locks flying all around him in the process. (Gotta say I'm looking forward to seeing all the Guardians again, especially now they're alive)
(You and me both, my friend) With those words, both Momonga and Henry activated their Rings of Ainz Ooal Gown and vanished from the Throne Room.

After terminating the Message communication with his fellow guild mates for the second time after hearing Henry's latest information, Fengxian continued his short walk up to the entryway of his personal dwelling on the Fifth Floor, known as the Warrior's Abode.
The Fifth Floor was a cold and gloomy place, designed to be incredibly uninviting to all those who did not enjoy or were susceptible to the cold gales and biting winds that constantly blustered all around the massive frozen expanse. It was a large area filled with numerous icebergs, glaciers, snow-capped peaks and other dangerous terrains that, unless they took the appropriate amount of care and were wearing the right gear for trekking through snow and ice, could claim the life of any unsuspecting invader or resident. Back when this was part of YGGDRASIL, the cold wind and frozen landscapes would inflict slow and constant ice-type damage upon any invaders who made it to this point, making it the downfall of many invasions who, having lacked the proper preparation or buffs, either fell victim to the constant debuffs or grew so weak that they were easily one-shotted by the Floor's Guardian, Cocytus. And it was amidst this dreary landscape that Fengxian had pretty much single-handedly constructed his dwelling place, his chief residence when he wasn't lodging in his personal room on the Ninth Floor.
The Warrior's Abode was situated at the base of a small range of snow-capped mountains, and to even get there one would have to traverse other multiple glaciers and brave the ferocious winter storms. If you managed to get there in one piece, you would find a large martial lodging, constructed in the image of Chinese-style temples and dojos back in the real world. It was built on two floors and contained sparse living quarters for both Fengxian and his NPC Shinozaki, complete with all the necessities they both required on a day-to-day basis, as well as a massive armoury where Fengxian stored all the weapons he could use along with several artefact-level weapons and even one or two of the legendary weapons wielded by some of his fellow guild-mates which they had given to him for safe keeping before they left. There were also several sparring areas, both inside and outside the abode, a few obstacle courses designed to test one's speed and agility, a gym that was modelled on those from the real world and a library that was full to the brim with all of the military scrolls that Fengxian had either collected or personally transcribed or written himself.
The reason for this massive collection of texts was because, alongside Henry, Fengxian was the biggest history buff out of all the members of Ainz Ooal Gown. Even though they were denied learning it in school due to the real-world limitations on education, it didn't stop them both from reading and absorbing what they could from the internet. Whilst Henry preferred the histories of ancient to modern European dynasties, Fengxian leaned towards Asian history, particularly that of ancient China and Japan consisting of the eras of Chinese warlords, Japanese samurai and many other important historical figures from that time. In fact, the idea behind Fengxian's character name and his weapon of choice was inspired by a fierce Chinese warlord from the Three Kingdoms era known as Lü Bu, whose courtesy/style name was Fengxian and whose weapon of choice was a massive halberd known as the Sky Piercer. As for why he chose to personally write or scribe the texts in YGGDRASIL? It was mostly to pass the downtime when the guild wasn't conducting raids or didn't have any events scheduled. Also, having the texts hanging on all the walls and filling up the library helped give Fengxian's abode more of a martial setting.
However, it was currently a small mess with some texts scattered on the floor and some weapons merely leaning against the walls rather than being hung in their proper place, mostly due to Fengxian not really caring where they were left since they'd have vanished once YGGDRASIL shut down. But since this was now reality, Fengxian's lack of care meant that the abode would now need a bit of cleaning to make it viable to permanently dwell in.
But just as he entered the abode and started to pick up and replace a few of the texts and weaponry, Fengxian's heightened senses detected movement coming towards him from one of the adobe's side rooms. Judging by the pacing and sound of their footsteps, they were moving swiftly yet silently in hopes of ambushing the warlord. As Fengxian turned towards where the footsteps were coming from, his hand reaching for his blade just in case, the sliding door in front of him was suddenly thrust open as a flying object hurtled towards him. Wasting no time, Fengxain reflexively got his hand up and deflected the flying projectile, and as it clattered to the floor he recognised it as a kunai.
"Wait a moment, there's only one NPC in Nazarick that I know of who uses these…" Just as he realised this, a lithe figure leapt into the hallway opposite him, a pair of small knives in their hands as they combat rolled and confronted Fengxian face-to-face.
"Who dares intrude upon the dwelling of my Lord and master…wait, Lord Fengxian?" The two knives they were holding clattered to the ground as the figure promptly fell to their knees, their head bowed, upon realising just who it was they'd been about to attack. "Forgive me, my lord…I did not know you were here! If I had, I would have greeted you properly and ensured this dwelling was prepared for your arrival. If it is your wish, I will gladly submit to whatever punishment you deem fit for my transgressions against your mighty self."
This was none other than Fengxian's personal NPC which he'd created with the assistance of HeroHero, Shinozaki. A member of the Doppelganger race like Narberal Gamma, she was created to be the personal maid and attendant of the Nephilim warrior whilst also holding the position of Honorary member of the Homunculus maids, but unlike the Pleiades maid she was given enough level points to be able to change her appearance at will. Her true appearance, the one she was currently wearing now, was based on a character from a popular anime that had aired over a century ago yet was one of Fengxian's all-time favourites and was that of a human woman in her mid to late twenties, standing at 5 feet and 9 inches tall with pale white skin, short brown hair that has bangs swept to the left side and light brown eyes. She was currently clad in the same maid uniform worn by the rest of the Homunculus maids, but in her personal quarters, she possessed a large wardrobe full of various ninja outfits as well as many other attires that she could choose from to carry out infiltration missions.
"There is nothing to apologise for, Shinozaki," the towering warrior replied graciously once he'd gotten over the initial shock of her appearance as with a hand he gestured for her to rise. "You reacted exactly as I'd have expected you to should an assailant enter our abode, so I will not punish you. In fact, you ought to be commended for taking such swift and decisive action, and I hope you will continue to exhibit such quick thinking in the future."
"My lord is truly gracious…I am most unworthy of your praise," Shinozaki demurred as she pressed her head flat to the floor in deference before rising to her feet as bidden. "Since you are here, my lord, is there anything this lowly maid can do for you? I stand ready to obey any command you give me."
After taking a brief moment to admire Shonzaki's dutiful mannerisms and dedication to his service, Fengxian briefly filled her in on what had happened after he and the others had been permanently transported to this world along with the situation they were currently in. "Until myself, Henry or Lord Momonga declares otherwise, ensure you are on high alert for anything untoward. Right now, I am on my way to fetch Cocytus and escort him to a meeting with the other Guardians and Supreme Beings on the Sixth Floor, after which I expect I will return here. In the meantime, I want you to ensure that this dwelling is clean and free of obstruction by the time I return. Is that understood?"
"Of course, my master…I shall see to it straight away." As she moved to carry out his orders, Fengxian proceeded to exit the domain and headed back out into the icy fields of the Fifth Floor in the direction of Snowball Earth, Cocytus' residence.
In comparison to Fengxian's lair, the Guardian's was a relatively simple creation with an entryway that was a large hole carved into the base of another of the Floor's mountain ranges and which was surrounded by six floating pillars of ice where the Frost Virgins, Cocytus' bodyguards, resided. Inside, the dwelling resembled an overturned vespiary with the walls, ceilings and furniture all carved out of the ice that surrounded it and was large enough for the Guardian to be able to walk around comfortably. As well as sparse living quarters, the residence also contained a conference room and a sparring dojo where Cocytus would regularly practice his sword skills.
Given how Shinozaki, despite her loyalty, had initially confronted him when he'd arrived at his own abode, Fengxian made to sure approach the dwelling in full view of the floating pillars surrounding it and made sure to keep his footsteps as loud as possible so as to instantly alert Cocytus that someone was visiting. This approach appeared to work as, only a few seconds after Fengxian passed through the entryway, he was greeted by the sounds of heavy footsteps that heralded Cocytus' imminent arrival as the Insectoid Guardian came into view.
Aside from the colossal Gargantua, the Guardian of the Fourth Floor, Cocytus was by far and away the tallest resident of the Great Tomb at a height of 8 feet and 2 inches, dwarfing even the colossal Nephilim who stood before him. Created by one of the founding members of Ainz Ooal Gown, Warrior Takemikazuchi, Cocytus belonged to the Vermin Lord race and had the appearance of an insect walking on two feet, like a fusion between a mantis and an ant, along with a massive tail that was twice as long as he was high. The Guardian's body was covered in sharp spikes like icicles and he also possessed a strong jaw that could easily snap a man in half. He also had six eyes, three each on either side of his mandibles, four massive arms that could each wield a weapon with great skill and one of which was currently holding a pike similar to Fengxian's own weapon, and a pair of massive feet out of which grew two long toes.
Personality-wise, Takemikazuchi created Cocytus to be the ideal warrior, respecting anyone with a fighting spirit and who enjoyed a good and honourable battle against any worthy opponent. He also possessed great loyalty, admirable dedication to the warrior ethic and a decent knowledge of battlefield strategy and logistics and was not made to be as devilish and cruel as most of the other Guardians (except for Sebas who was the only Guardian with more positive karma than him). These aspects of his personality were greatly admired by Fengxian who shared many of the same ideals, prompting Takemikazuchi, after his decision to quit the game in the wake of Touch Me's departure, to leave his creation in Fengxian's care and programmed him to respect Fengxian as his sensei, or 'honoured teacher', with the overarching goal of learning all of the military knowledge that Fengxian possessed as well as holding to the same principles of justice, duty and loyalty that the massive Nephilim held close to his heart.
"My. Lord. Fengxian!" Cocytus exclaimed joyfully in his peculiar manner of speech, his tone being originally designed to be as deep as Momonga's and Fengxian's but was affected by having to speak through his mandibles, as he descended into a rather awkward kneel. "You. Do. Me. Great. Honour. By. Visiting. My. Dwelling!"
"The honour is mine, Cocytus," Fengxian replied as he put a hand on his chest and gave a respectful bow in return, a respectful greeting as per the close bond they shared. "I hope you do not mind my disturbing you, but I come on a manner of great import that requires your presence."
Cocytus' mandibles twitched as he exhaled loudly, the resulting breath hanging briefly in the air in front of him as he spoke. "You. Are. The. Marshal. Of. Nazarick. And. My. Honoured. Teacher. My. Lord! You. Are. Free. To. Come. And. Go. As. You. Please!" He exclaimed. "And. I. Stand. Ready. To. Assist. In. Whatever. Capacity. You. Require. Of. Me."
Fengxian was almost tempted to chuckle at Cocytus' uncharacteristic exclamation of umbrage but held himself back out of respect for the Guardian. "We believe an unknown phenomenon has affected the world outside of Nazarick, and we are currently in the process of scouting and preparing for whatever may be out there," he told the Vermin Lord. "Sebas is currently surveying the area immediately surrounding the tomb, and whilst he's doing such, Lord Momonga, Lord Henry and I are convening a meeting of most of the Floor Guardians in the Sixth Floor's Amphitheatre. Since I was coming to check on my residence and Shinozaki anyway, I volunteered to come and escort you there myself."
Cocytus' many eyes lit up at the mention of Momonga and Henry as he got to his feet. "Lord. Momonga. And. Lord. Edward. Are. Here. Too? How. Wonderful! Truly. This. Is. Such. A. Momentous. Occasion. If. All. Of. The. Guardians. Are. Being. Gathered!" He once more exclaimed joyfully. "And. Of. Course! I. Will. Always. Come. When. My. Lords. Require. My. Presence! Please. Lead. The. Way. My. Lord."
"Indeed, let's not waste any more time…the trek towards the teleportation gate will be long enough as it is…" With those words, Fengxian turned around and walked back out of Snowball Earth, only this time with Cocytus trailing in his wake as the two began their journey across the Fifth Floor towards its Gate…
~TNT~
As this was all going on below them, both Momonga and Henry arrived in the shadows of the amphitheatre on the Sixth Floor having teleported straight there from the Throne Room.
(Wow, it really worked just as Ki said it would) Henry exclaimed as they took a second to gather their bearings.
(Indeed. These Rings are a very useful mode of transportation. We'll have to see about getting one for each of the Guardians) Momonga replied. "Come, my son," he said out loud, gesturing towards the entrance to the arena. "Let's see if we can find Aura and Mare before the rest of the Guardians start to arrive."
"Of course, Father," Henry replied dutifully. Even though it still felt a little strange to be referring to one of his best friends as his 'father', it also felt somewhat right, as though this was always how their relationship was meant to end up. Dismissing those thoughts, he followed after Momonga as the Overlord led him down a dimly lit passage made of stone, at the end of which was a gate with metal bars that would open up to the arena itself.
As the pair approached the gate, it rose automatically, and as it did the scent of earth and dirt, a smell that both Supreme Beings were thoroughly unaccustomed to, filled their nostrils. The two took a moment to drink in this new, earthly scent before walking through the open gate and onto the arena floor as they made their way to the very centre of it.
The Amphitheatre was modelled on the Colosseums of the Roman Empire, and being the European history expert that he was, Henry had not only been extremely excited upon learning that one was to be built but had also insisted on having a hand in its design, a boon which Momonga and the others were all too happy to grant him. And so alongside Yamaiko, the other European history buff in the guild, Henry had eagerly set about its construction, spending weeks and even months perfecting its design so that it truly resembled the Roman structures at the height of their use and popularity. Standing at an impressive 40 metres tall, it was constructed in an oval shape and measured 180 metres on its long axis and 150 metres on its shorter axis, with the large arena in its centre surrounded by numerous rows of stands and auditoriums that would allow the spectators, which mostly consisted of golems whenever it was activated, a clear view of the action from any point or height in the stands. A VIP Lounge area had also been constructed in the very centre of one of the longer axis, a six-story complex which allowed members of the guild to sit and observe the invaders of Nazarick fight for their lives in comfort and opulence.
Aside from the large 1500-man invasion of players and NPCs that had managed to get to the Eight Floor, every single invader had met their demise in this arena which spoke a great deal of the lethality of the fights that took place here as well as the power of the Floor's two Guardians who were in charge of the Arena. And as the two looked around the massive structure, the memories of themselves and their friends sitting in those VIP seats and watching as all the would-be raiders were slaughtered by the NPCs and monsters that they'd summoned came flooding back.
"Good times…" They both thought to themselves as their gazes roved around the stands, searching for the two dark elf twins who were both the guardians of both the Amphitheatre and the Sixth Floor as a whole.
"It doesn't look as though they are currently here," Momonga commented after a short while. "Perhaps they are still in their dwelling and haven't been made aware of presence yet…"
Henry was poised to nod and agree when his eyes, which were capable of seeing much further and clearer than human eyes on account of him being a Dragonoid, suddenly caught the tiniest fraction of movement coming from the VIP Lounge opposite them, and as he focused his gaze over there, he spied two small bundles of blonde hair peeking over the parapet accompanied by two pairs of hetero-chromatic eyes that were watching them curiously. "Found them," he told Momonga as he lifted a hand and waved reassuringly in that direction. Upon spotting Henry's wave, one of the small figures jumped up and hopped over the parapet onto the arena floor. Though their leap was from a great height and the resulting impact from their small feet hitting the ground caused small plumes of sand to be kicked up, the small figure gracefully rose to their feet, seemingly no worse for wear. Pausing only to make a small V-sign for victory and to dust themselves off, they then immediately sprinted over in the direction of the two Supreme Beings.
"Lord Momonga! Lord Trajan! Welcome to the Sixth Floor arena that we guard! We are honoured to have you with us!" The small figure exclaimed in a joyful, child-like tone as they skidded to a halt a few feet from where Momonga and Henry were standing and gave a small bow with their right hand over their heart. This was Aura Bella Fiora, the elder of the dark elf twins created by Bukubukuchagama who served as the Sixth Floor's Guardians. Aura had the appearance of a tomboyish-looking child with dark skin and pointed ears, a signature trait of the dark elves. She also possessed golden hair and heterochromia, with her left eye blue and right eye green. She was currently clad in reddish-black dragon scale leather covered by a white and gold vest upon which was embroidered the sigil of Ainz Ooal Gown. Below that, she wore a matching set of white trousers and gold-plated shoes, and around her neck was an acorn necklace emitting golden light, one of the final gifts her creator had left her before quitting the game. Attached to her waist was a small whip that served as her primary weapon, and on her back was a small, folded compact bow.
"It's good to see you Aura," Momonga greeted her with a wave. If he were able to, he would be smiling right now after witnessing Aura's enthusiastic entry.
Henry wasn't bound by such restrictions as he was currently grinning from ear to ear, the memories of his time spent with Aura's creator Bukubukuchagama coming back to him. He reached forward and ruffled the small Guardian's hair affectionately which brightened her already jubilant expression. "Thank you for the warm welcome, little one," he said in greeting. "I hope you don't mind us coming to visit unannounced."
"Of course not, my lords!" She huffed somewhat indignantly, as though the very idea that the two beings before her could ever be considered intrusive was highly offensive. "You are the Master and Heir of the Great Tomb of Nazarick and are free to go wherever you please! You are welcome here at any time!"
"True, but we thank you for your hospitality regardless," Henry told her as he returned his gaze to the VIP Lounge where the other small mass of blonde hair was still peeking over the parapet nervously. "Oh sweet and pure Mare…so innocent yet so shy…" "Will your brother be joining us as well?"
Aura's expression twitched in exasperation at her brother's antics as she spoke up in an apologetic tone: "Forgive my younger brother's disrespect, my lords. I'll call him over right now." She then spun around to face the VIP Lounge. "MARE!" She yelled out furiously. "Get your ass down here right now! You're being rude to Lord Momonga and Lord Trajan who have kindly graced us with their presence!"
"B-But sis…I'm scared!" Came a small whimper that was somehow audible even from this distance.
"MARE!"
"S-sorry! I'm coming!" The small figure warily climbed over the edge of the VIP Lounge and fell to the arena floor. Unlike her compatriot, their fall was less graceful and they ended up falling to a heap on landing. Taking a moment to adjust their skirt, the small figure then jogged over to where the others were waiting for them. Since they were nowhere near as agile as Aura, it took slightly longer for them to reach the other side.
"Come on, Mare! Could you be any slower?" Aura huffed exasperatedly, annoyance at her brother's slow pace visible on her face.
"Don't be so mean, Aura. He's trying his best," Henry gently reprimanded the older Dark Elf as her twin fell into a clumsy bow before the two Supreme Beings.
"I-I apologise for making you wait, Lord Momonga and Lord Trajan." This was Mare Bello Fiore, Aura's younger twin and the other Guardian of the Sixth Floor. Like his sister, he possessed dark skin and pointed ears, but instead of the messy tuft of hair that Aura possessed, Mare's was done in a bowl cut. And his eyes were the opposite colour to his sister's with his right eye coloured blue and his left eye green. He was currently clad in a blue dragon scale leather full-body suit, covered by a white and gold vest embroidered with the sigil of Ainz Ooal Gown and a forest green-leaf cloak. Below that, he wore a matching short white skirt exposing his thighs, and on his neck was an acorn necklace emitting silver light. His slender hands were donned with shiny white silk gloves, and he clutched a small, black wooden staff in his hands.
Even though they were twins and created by the Supreme Being, their personalities were crafted to be wildly different. Aura's personality, based on her creator's real-life traits, was that of a cheerful, tomboyish girl who was straightforward and blunt with her remarks and completely domineering over her brother. In stark contrast, Mare, who was created from Bukubukuchagama's belief that a younger sibling should always obey their older one, was shy, cowardly and stuttered whenever he spoke and often maintained a subservient demeanour during conversations.
"It is no issue, Mare," Momonga reassured him kindly. "Thank you both for making us welcome."
"Was there a particular reason for your visit to our domain, my lords?" Aura asked curiously. "If so, please let us know and we'll do anything we can to assist!" Mare nodded swiftly in agreement.
"Are you saying we can't just come and visit our favourite Dark Elves because we want to?" Henry asked rhetorically, chuckling slightly upon seeing abashed expressions form on both of the twin's faces. "I'm just teasing, you two. We're actually gathering the rest of the Guardians here for a meeting. They should all be arriving shortly."
"All of them? Does that mean Shalltear's coming too?" Aura asked with a small pout, placing her hands behind her head.
"All except for Victim, Gargantua and Pandora's Actor, so yes that does include Shalltear…and I expect you and her to be on your best behaviour during the course of our gathering," Momonga told her sternly, since much like their respective creators, Aura and Shalltear would tease and insult each other constantly unless they were reined in, before bringing forth his Staff and showing it to the two Dark Elves who gazed upon it with awe. "Whilst we wait, I'd like the two of you to help me run a few tests to make sure the Staff is working properly."
"S-so cool…!" Mare murmured, his gaze transfixed on the mighty weapon.
"Of course! We'll help in any way we can, my lord!" Aura replied eagerly.
(What are you up to, Suki?) Henry asked as he watched Momonga wave one of his bony hands towards the side of the arena.
(It's as I told Aura and Mare…I need to make sure this Staff works properly and test out my magic) Momonga replied as two large, red reptilian-like creatures brought up a few practice dummies that were as tall as a regular-size human. "In YGGDRASIL…if you wanted to conjure magic you had to select the appropriate icon on your interface," he thought to himself as the creatures bowed before retreating to a safe distance. "But from what we've deduced so far with the Rings and the Message magic, our spells are coming to us as easy as breathing. Even now I can feel the power of my magic swirling around my body and the Staff itself. Calling it should be no problem…I just have to figure out the range, cool-down rate and the MP costs." He gripped the Staff tightly in anticipation and excitement. "Right then…Kiyoshi's already demonstrated his skills...time for me to show off my own!"
"Keep a safe distance back, all of you!" He commanded. The other five occupants of the arena obeyed as he lifted his staff and aimed it at the practice dummies. "Summon, Primal Fire Elemental!" A wave of fire appeared from the weapon and engulfed the two training dummies in a small tower of flame. The fire danced around the dummies before eventually coalescing to form the body of a large red creature whose bottom half was made from fire and magical energy while the rest of it was covered in flames.
"Amazing, Lord Momonga! Your power is so overwhelming!" Aura exclaimed.
"Indeed it is…as expected of my Father, the Master of the Great Tomb of Nazarick," Henry concurred. (Nice going, Suki) he told his friend privately.
Momonga turned and nodded his appreciation at their words before directing his gaze at the Dark Elf twins. "So then, would you two like to fight it?"
"Yeah, I'd love to!" Aura exclaimed in delight. His twin, on the other hand…
"Um…I just remember I have a few errands to run so I'll pass…" He made as if to try and slink off, but Aura grabbed the back of his cloak and pulled him towards the centre of the arena all whilst ignoring her brother's piteous moans.
"Good luck you two! Kick its ass!" Henry encouraged them as he and Momonga took a couple of steps back. Aura cheerfully waved in response as she drew her whip and readied herself for the fight as Mare took a position behind his sister, staff clutched between his hands.
"Primal Fire Elemental! Attack the Dark Elf twins!" Momonga commanded his summoned creation. In response, the elemental roared and exhaled a burst of fire at the rapidly charging Aura, who used her speed and agility to dodge and weave between the flames before leaping up and landing a few hits on the creature with her whip. The elemental didn't take too kindly to being struck so and launched a close-range fire blast at the elf. Aura's eyes widened as she realised she wouldn't be able to dodge in time, but thankfully for her Mare had other ideas.
"Magic Shield!" The younger Dark Elf cried, creating a light green barrier around her twin that was able to deflect the elemental's attack, thus allowing her sister to use her whip to land a few more hits on the summoned creature.
"They're working really well together, as expected of a pair of twins," Henry commented as he and Momonga continued to watch the battle unfold.
"Indeed. And since they are level One Hundred, my summon shouldn't be too much trouble for them," Momonga replied as he brought a hand to his forehead. "Since they are having fun, I'll contact Sebas and get an update." Henry nodded, his gaze going back to the twins' fight as Momonga attempted to connect with Sebas via the Message Spell. (Sebas…can you hear me?)
The response from Sebas was both instant and crisp (I'm here Lord Momonga…is there something you need of me?)
(Nothing urgent Sebas…I was just contacting you to get an update on your task. How are things looking on the outside?)
(Well, my Lord…there is a slight problem. You see…) Sebas seemed poised to launch into an explanation but Momonga quickly interrupted him before he could continue.
(Hold on, Sebas. I have called the rest of the Guardians as well as Fengxian to a meeting in the amphitheatre on the Sixth Floor. Come deliver your report to us in person once they are all assembled, and send Lupusregina and CZ to join their sisters on the Ninth and Tenth Floors.)
(Understood, my Lord. I shall arrive as swiftly as I am able) Sebas replied as Aura landed a killing blow on the fire elemental, causing it to disintegrate on the spot. Cutting off the Message spell, both he and Henry made their way towards the Dark Elf twins who were running back towards them, delighted expressions on their faces.
"Nicely done you two!" Henry congratulated them warmly.
"Indeed, an impressive display of your power and teamwork," Momonga added.
"Thank you, my lords…that was really fun! I haven't exercised like that in a while!" Aura replied. Both elves didn't appear to be exhausted or wounded by the battle at all. Henry chuckled at their childlike mannerisms whilst Momonga decided to show his appreciation for their efforts.
"The two of you must be thirsty after such a fight," he commented, reaching out his skeletal hand as he imagined himself reaching into his inventory system. A second later he saw his hand get swallowed up by a small black portal and moved it around to get a feel of it. This motion caused a hole to appear out of nowhere where he espied numerous items laid out before him. Grabbing a couple of glasses, he handed them to both the twins and Henry who accepted them with puzzled looks on their faces before reaching back inside and grabbing the special item [The Pitcher of Endless Water]. Letting go of the Staff for a moment, he used the pitcher to fill all three glasses, an act which surprised both of the Dark Elf Twins. "What's the matter?"
"Forgive me, my lord," Aura replied somewhat abashedly. "But you are the great Lord of Nazarick. You shouldn't be the ones serving us water like this."
"It's no matter, I do not mind doing something as trifling as serving you all water," he demurred as he filled up Henry's glass as well.
"If it helps, don't think of him serving you if that doesn't sit right," Henry suggested as he accepted his cup. "Rather think of it as my father rewarding you for a job well done."
"In that case, bottoms up my lords!" Aura replied enthusiastically as she, Mare and Henry clinked their glasses together before downing them in one go. As he brought the water to his lips, Henry was amazed by the quality of it. It had none of the filtered taste of tap water from their world, and he'd never purchased any of the speciality waters due to them costing an arm and a leg so this was the cleanest and most refreshing drink he'd ever taken in his life.
"I-I have to admit, Lord Momonga…I thought you would be scarier…" Mare stated awkwardly as they all handed their glasses back.
"Oh? Do I need to appear more frightening for you?" Momonga teased, his red eyes flaring dramatically as he spoke. (Why would they even think that?) He asked Henry via Message.
(Probably because you're a giant skeleton whose design screams 'evil overlord'!) Henry teased.
"No! No, you don't! You and Lord Trajan are awesome the way you are!" Aura replied quickly, her earnestness taking both of the Supreme Beings by surprise for a brief moment. Henry was the first to recover as with both hands he ruffled each of their hair.
"You two are so precious…don't ever change," he told them, causing them to grin widely as he turned to Momonga. "Could you summon another fire elemental, Father? I too wish to test out my abilities."
"Of course, my son," Momonga replied instantly, and as Henry made his way towards the centre of the arena the Overlord used his Staff to summon another fire elemental just like the one he'd created for the twins.
"Oh wow, we're going to get to see Lord Trajan fight too! This is awesome!" Aura cried as she and Mare eagerly watched on in anticipation.
"Primal Fire Elemental! Attack Henry!" Momonga commanded. Once again the fire elemental launched forward with a bellowing roar straight towards Henry who merely stood and waited for it to come closer. Just as it got to within striking distance, however, Henry simply leapt towards the creature with his mouth opened wide and inhaled sharply, and as he did the whole massive body of the fire elemental flew upwards into his mouth and down his throat as he proceeded to swallow it whole! As he landed, he could be seen grinning from ear to ear as he digested the taste of the consumed elemental. Henry had never been able to consume a burger in real life, but given the smoky and crispy taste of what he'd just eaten, he was willing to bet that this was what it'd taste like.
"Thank you, Father! That fire sure was tasty!" He replied, having invoked the spirit of a certain salmon-haired anime protagonist quite well in his opinion, as he made his way back over to Momonga and the twins who were all cheering and clapping at his display.
"That was so cool, Lord Trajan! You ate that big elemental like a snack!" Aura commented.
"Lord Trajan is so amazing…!" Mare added, an awed expression on his face.
"Indeed…an impressive display, my son," Momonga commented. "I should've known Henry would go all Natsu when any fire creatures are around…" His thoughts were interrupted as the four heard the sounds of another pair of hands clapping from nearby, and as they looked over, they saw the source of the clapping emerging from a large black portal.
"Such a magnificent display worthy of the Heir of Nazarick! I am so glad I was able to bear witness to it!" The figure exclaimed joyfully. The new arrival had the appearance of a buxom fourteen-year-old girl with pale, shiny skin, gorgeous crimson-red eyes, immaculate facial features and silver hair tied in a ponytail through a large ribbon above it all, allowing their face to be fully on view. They were clad in a soft black evening dress with a big heavy skirt, their upper body dressed in a lace embellished ribbon along with a short-tailored jacket, and their hands were covered with long lace gloves, leaving no skin exposed.
The vampire Shalltear Bloodfallen, Guardian of the First, Second and Third Floors and the creation of Momonga and Henry's good friend Peroroncino, had arrived.

As you can no doubt conclude, not only are our three protagonists on all ends of the karma scale, but they also have their unique combat specialities: Momonga/Ainz is the magic caster, Fengxian is the in-your-face melee fighter and Henry is the all-rounder proficient in both.
And yes, as a dragon Henry is immune to and can eat fire to strengthen himself, which we did borrow directly and unashamedly from Fairy Tail.
Once again we thank you all for making it this far and showing love to our story. Chapter 3 will cover the meeting with all the Guardians and the one or two events that take place afterwards, and as always I'll take a break for a day or two before starting work on it at the weekend. Until then, on behalf of myself and my co-author daniel, thank you so much for reading, and we'll see you in the next part of the Nazarick Triumvirate!
