Kara's POV

Arriving at Lena's that night, my heart continued to pound. Even if we don't go all the way tonight, I'm nervous. We've not done much more than light teasing and kissing. Shaking my head, I felt ridiculous. This is Lena. She's not going to push me into anything.

The door opened before I could knock. "I can hear your heart pounding from my home office." Taking my hand, Lena ushered me over the threshold. "Come in. Dinner is almost ready."

"Whatever it is, it smells delicious." She can eat as much pasta as she wants now. Thank Rao.

"Penne pasta and meatballs in a creamy mushroom sauce. Jess brought leftovers and it smelled fantastic."

"I'm glad you got the recipe." Leaning forward, I kissed Lena's cheek. "I'll pour the wine."

"And here I'm not even wearing a "kiss the cook" apron," Lena grinned as she plated the food.

"Only because I didn't know you wore one," I chuckled. Both of us froze when we heard someone land on the balcony. Blocking Lena out of instinct, I tried to gauge Kal-El's mood. "Kal?" I approached with caution.

He held his palms forward. "I come in peace. I just want to talk."

Glancing over my shoulder, Lena nodded. "Let him in." Turning, the brunette took down another set of dinnerware.

Sliding open the door, I allowed my cousin entrance. "What's up?"

"I heard about what happened on Argo," he stepped over the threshold.

"Didn't Lois tell you to stop beating around the bush?" I smirked.

"I'm sure you have reservations," Lena began. "Take a seat. We can talk over dinner. Kara said you don't drink and fly, correct?"

"Yes, I know it doesn't make sense considering the Kryptonian metabolism…" His voice trailed. "Can I have water instead?"

"Of course." Lena brought the plates to the table. "I hope you like mushrooms."

Relaxing, Kal took a seat. "I do," he chuckled. "Has the hunger died down some?"

"A little bit." Lena took a seat beside me and across from Kal-El. "Kara has given me some tips and tricks. What exactly are your worries about my new state?" She paused, motioning towards the food. "It's not poisoned, I promise."

"I'm sorry," Kal shrugged.

"I understand. Two of my family members want to kill you. I would be skeptical too." Lena took a bite of her dinner. "I hope one day you will come to trust me."

"Thank you for understanding." Picking up his fork, the other Super took a small bite. "Before we talk about anything else," Kal nodded in surprise, "this tastes amazing."

"I know, right?" I chuckled, taking another hardy bite. "And this is the first time she made it!" Kal's brow rose as he chewed.

"I made enough for a small army so I can send some with you."

"Breaking bread at a Luthor table. The only reason Lois would believe it is because of the fact that you're with Kara." Hearing other people say it still makes me giddy. "One day, I can come to trust you. Between your help with the Daxamites, Kara trusting you, and The Council granting Kara's request, there must be good in you."

"Once I have to step down from L-Corp, and can no longer be directly in the public eye, I plan to help Argo get back to its former glory."

"That's nice of you. What do Lillian and Lex think about this?"

"They don't know yet. Mother knows Kara did something. She's not sure what though. I've not spoken to Lex, and I don't plan to. I want to destroy the kryptonite Lex may have stored away in his bunkers before they find out."

"That's smart," Kal nodded.

Dabbing her mouth with a napkin, Lena pushed away her plate. "I've created Kara and myself shields that protect us from kryptonite. I can make one for you as well. It can be built into the crest of your suit or a ring."

Leaning back in his chair, Kal stared dumbfounded at the brunette across from him. "You really are different. If it's not too much trouble, I would greatly appreciate one."

"Come back in a week and it should be done." Lena watched as I cleared the table. "Thank you, Kara."

"You're welcome," I smiled. I began to clean up the kitchen while Lena and Kal-El talked about her powers and plans for her future. He offered to help us with the bunkers if we needed it. There were a few wholehearted laughs thrown into the conversation on both sides. By the time he needed to go, Kal's entire demeanor around Lena had changed.

Walking onto the balcony, I smiled. "So, the two of you seem pretty chummy now."

"She is definitely not like her family. You saw that before any of us did." Kal looked down at me with a knowing grin. "I think you have a lot to do with that. I saw something between the two of you when we interviewed her about The Venture."

"That seems like so long ago," I sighed.

"Do you think you'll keep with the Kryptonian customs?"

My heart started to pound. I haven't thought about that yet. Eventually, yes. "She's learning Kryptonian."

"She cares so much for you. If you were destined to fall for a human, I'm glad it was Lena."

Leaning against the ledge, I looked over the city. "If this wouldn't have happened, and we had gotten together another way, I think I would have asked for gold kryptonite one day."

"Really?" I nodded. "Wow." Kal-El hummed thoughtfully. "You are so much stronger than I am." He set his jaw. "Eventually, I'll have to make a decision about Lois."

"Are you going to keep to our traditions?"

"No. While I was born on Krypton, the past few years have shown me that I'm more human than anything. I'll probably ask her at the fortress though."

"I hope it goes well."

"And yours."

Knocking on the doorframe, Lena gained our attention. "A to-go container for you and Lois."

"Thank you, Lena." Taking the container, he smiled. "The four of us will have to get together one day."

"I look forward to it," Lena nodded. "Get home safely. I'll have Kara contact you when the shield is ready."

"Thank you." Hugging me, Kal said his goodbyes and flew off.

"I made tea if you'd like to stay longer."

"Sure."

I watched as Lena poured the tea. Seeing the dark liquid turn to a light almond color always fascinated me. "I'm sure you have questions."

"About?" Lena's brow rose.

"I know you used super hearing. Maybe not the whole time but I heard you pause what you were doing a time or two."

"You listen in on me. I listen in on you. Is this how our lives will be from now on?" The brunette kidded, placing a cup in front of me. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have."

"It's okay. If I really didn't want you to know what I was saying, I would have spoken Kryptonian. I have a few more weeks before you master the language," I grinned.

"If someone would give me a week on Argo or in the fortress undisturbed, I'd have mastered it by now," Lena smirked.

"Well, I'm sorry we're both adults with jobs and responsibilities," I snickered playfully, walking past the CEO. Getting comfortable on the couch, I snuggled into Lena. "I'm glad we can cuddle again."

"Me too." Wrapping an arm around me, Lena kissed my hair. "I'm glad there are no more secrets between us now."

"It was horrible," I whined. "I would take kryptonite exposure any day."

"Now I can understand the gravity of that statement." We sat in silence until the curiosity became too much to bear. "What does gold kryptonite do?"

Biting my lip, I took a long sip of tea. "The opposite of platinum. It would have taken my powers. Basically, it would make me human."

"Oh." Lena sat with the information. "You would have done that for me?"

"Yes." I stared into the half empty cup. "Eventually. I would have wanted to age with you. I would still outlive you but only for a few years instead of centuries."

Resting her cheek on my head, Lena sighed contently. "What traditions were you talking about?"

"Uhm…" This will be interesting. "Marriage traditions," I squeaked.

"Oooh." Lena's heart sped.

"N-Not for anytime soon." I began to panic.

"Calm down." Lena squeezed my shoulder. "I know you're not about to get down on one knee anytime soon."

"That's not what Kryptonians do," I chuckled. Relaxing back into Lena, I listened to her heart. "My personal lighthouse," I whispered.

"What do they do?" Lena's voice was quiet and calming.

"You'll have to wait and find out. I promise it won't be a thousand years." It probably won't even be a decade.

"Do Kryptonians have anything about premarital sex?"

I squeaked again. "Nnnno." My stomach fluttered. Meeting Lena's warm eyes, I stammered. "Y-You want to…tonight?"

"I want to kiss you. More than a quick peck." She tucked a strand of hair behind my ear. "But I wanted to know how you felt about it before anything potentially happened."

"You wanted to take things slowly. Please, don't-,"

"I want to, Kara. I love you and I'm ready to take that leap of faith with all of myself."

A tear rolled down my cheek at her words. "I love you too."

"I know." Cupping my face, Lena kissed me. Finally kissed me with all the love and affection she felt for me. "Let's go to bed."

In the blink of an eye, Lena had me in her arms and carried me into her bedroom. "Super speed comes in handy so often." Laying me on the bed, Lena claimed my lips once more.

Everything melted away as Lena kissed down my neck and made herself comfortable on top of me. Running my hands up the back of her shirt, I spread my fingers wide to feel as much of her warm skin as I could. I've wanted this for so long. I moaned, feeling Lena scrape her teeth against my pulse.

"Someone is thinking quite loudly." Leaning up, the brunette peered down at me. "What is it?" Biting my lip, I looked away. "Hey." Shifting, Lena cupped my cheek. "No need to do that. What is it?"

"I'm just…nervous. I've wanted this for so long…" My voice shook.

"I'm nervous too." I met warm green eyes. "I've only had three partners. You've met two of them." My nose scrunched causing the CEO to chuckle. "None of them were women. So this is new to me too. I know what I like and what I've fantasized but I've never fully opened up to anyone. I've always been guarded," Lena paused, a soft smile curving her slightly smudged lipstick. "I don't want to be that way with you." A chuckle escaped the brunette. "Not that my subconscious would let me around you."

"What do you mean?" Panic raced through me as Lena shifted to lay on the bed.

"I'm not going anywhere." Facing me, Lena set her hand on my hip. "Even when I was angry with you before Thanksgiving, I didn't even think about getting rid of your stuff. Before I passed out, I tried to tell you that I loved you in case I died." Agile fingers slipped under my shirt and drew shapes as she spoke. "On Argo, I started forgiving you before I realized it. And even when we first met, I wanted to be around you even though every fiber of my being didn't want to let you in."

"The appetizers," I grinned.

"Exactly. I've never fantasized about someone until you." Gently, Lena ran her thumb under the wire of my bra. The action caused me to shiver. "Even just innocent things like kissing you." Heat rushed up my neck remembering some of my own daydreams. "Apparently you have some of your own that aren't so innocent." A dark brow rose in question. Closing my eyes, I nodded. "You're not alone. I've done the same."

"Really?" I squeaked.

"Mmhmm." Scooting closer, Lena ran her hand under the back of my bra. Toying with the clasp, she whispered against my lips. "I'd like to show you some of the more late night thoughts if you're willing." She pressed a soft kiss against my lips. "Only if you're ready."

"I am." Tangling my hand in silky locks, I rolled to my back bringing Lena with me. "Show me what you fantasize about late at night."

"I plan to," she purred, peppering kisses under my jaw. "Maybe more innocent ones for tonight." I whimpered feeling the tip of Lena's tongue run along my lip. "We have plenty of time for the rest."

My hips bucked at the thought. "Indeed we do."

Every touch and tease of Lena's fingers and tongue set me on fire. I squirmed under her lips as they trailed my body. Pinning my wrists above my head, the brunette hovered above me, eyes burning with desire and love. "Be a good Super and I promise not to tease you too long. Maybe a few torturous minutes of near insanity instead of longer."

Wrapping my arms through the iron bars of Lena's headband, I laid myself open for her to do as she pleased. "I'm all yours."

"Good girl." Dipping her head, Lena sucked a hardened nipple into her mouth. The new sensation caused me to gasp feeling her tongue flick. "Someone enjoys that." Rolling the other nipple between her fingers caused my hips to buck.

"Lena," I panted. "Please…"

"No." Lena met my gaze. "This is the first time I'm exploring you and I don't want to rush it. I want to map out every aspect that makes you beg for more."

"Touch me," I whispered. "I won't release until you tell me to."

A soft growl vibrated Lena's throat. "Excellent." Nails raked down my side causing me to shudder. "You asked for this. Remember that," she teased, kissing down my stomach.

The closer she got to my center, the more heat pooled. Making herself comfortable, Lena placed a knee over each of her shoulders. "Wait," I squeaked.

Stopping everything, Lena looked up the bed to meet my gaze. "Not ready?"

"N-No, not that. I'm very…" I bit my lip. "I'm nervous at how…aroused…I am."

"At how wet you are?" I nodded. "I understand. With me, you have nothing to worry about." Leaning her cheek against my inner thigh, Lena smiled. "It just tells me you're enjoying what I do." She's debating something. "There have been a few nights where I'd work myself up so much that I'd need a towel to clean up afterwards."

Heat flooded my face at the thought. "Th-Thinking about me?"

"Yes," Lena smiled, a blush tinting her own cheeks. "Currently, I'm drenched. It's going to take every ounce of self control I have not to explode the second you touch me."

"Together?" I bit my lip.

"Gladly." Kissing her way back up my body, Lena situated us so she could touch me while I touched her. Taking my hand, she guided me between her thighs. "See for yourself." I groaned feeling how slick with arousal Lena was. "Fuck," she breathed.

Moving my fingers slowly, caused the younger woman to moan. A sound I desperately needed to hear again and again. "Kara…" Leaning forward, the brunette rested her forehead against my shoulder. "Can I…"

"Please." Snaking a hand downward, Lena slid two digits inside with ease causing me to moan. I mimicked her movements and circled my thumb over her clit.

Neither of us lasted long after we found a rhythm that worked for both of us. Beginning to tremble, Lena bit down on my shoulder to muffle her moan. The twinge of pleasurable pain pushed me over the edge.

Panting, the brunette rolled to her back. "My God…"

"Rao…" I breathed, trying to catch my own breath. If I was human, I'm pretty sure she would have left a bruise. The thought caused me to chuckle.

"What are you laughing about? You screamed just as loudly." Wiping hair from her forehead, Lena's arm fell heavy on the bed. "I can't move."

"Same," I laughed. Turning my head, I smiled. "I love you."

"I love you too." Attempting to gain momentum, Lena tried to roll towards me but gave up.

Realizing what she wanted, I wrapped an arm around her hips and rested my head on her shoulder. "Is this okay?"

Wrapping her arm around me, Lena kissed my hair. "It's perfect."
