Chapter 33: Sea Breeze
Militech soldiers were raiding a Pirate hideout within the mountains as they were unloading their armored units including MT-5 MBT and multiple War Commandos smashing through their defenses with ease. Agent Robinson leads the charge allowing her special borg body to unleash a wave of death onto the pirates with swift deadliness.
"Madam, we secured the area," the Militech trooper said as they secured the main building with plans for several hardened bases within the region including the main base on an island connected to the mainland via a land bridge.
"Interesting, this will be useful for us to take out these entrenched pirate positions. They do have military-grade hardware. I wonder who their backer is?" Robinson wanted to leave back to the mountain base leaving the ruins behind.
Elsewhere V and Panam can be seen that the next key card is located on an old subbase on the coastline. "Well, time to get the next keycard. Get Rebecca and Cortez on the holo call and tell them their next mission," Panam said.
"Hey V, we are making good progress with the War Commando. The parts make it smooth sailing except for the laser weapon, which is too damaged to be used. It needs to be replaced," Dakota said on the radio.
"Good, we can work with that. How about the Tempest HCR?" V asked.
"That is in working condition and it's usable. It's going to be a thing of beauty, once we fix this bad boy up," Dakota said.
"Preem, keep it up," V said as he was excited to give the Power Armor a spin.
"You are looking like a kid in a candy shop," Panam said.
"It's not every day you can get your hands on Powered Armor like a War Commando," V said.
"Indeed, you can find stuff like this in military circles. The pirates do have some gear around. We can take advantage and steal some for ourselves. Militech is on us and we need all the firepower we can gather," Panam said.
"No doubt, we need to get raiding parties to steal armored vehicles for our defense," V said using drones to pick pirate camps to gather ammo, weapons, and vehicles along with supplies for their needs.
Cortez and Rebecca got the call to head for the next keycard location, which is an old, abandoned subbase on the coast heavily guarded by pirates and war machines. "The drone is scanning the area. There are a lot of enemies there," Klunk said as he beamed the info into their eyes to see a holographic image of a subbase filled with pirates along with mechs, robots, and some vehicles including two Vargus drone gunships.
"Damn it, they got a mech suit and helicopter drones," Rebecca said.
"Seems like it. Best to go in, get the keycard, and get out of there," Cortez said as Rebecca pumped Guts to be ready to go.
"I am ready to go," Rebecca said as they saw gunships flying in the distance to see they belonged to Militech. "Gee, I wonder what they are doing?" she wondered.
"Word is, they are raiding pirate and Wraith camps trying to expose defensives. They are going to try attacking us with a full-frontal assault to try to capture Lucy," Cortez said as Rebecca was unnerved by this.
"Gee, so many people here. Pure chaos," Rebecca said as she checked her Lexington and Overture. Cortez has his modified Kyubi with a long-range scope, bipod, and suppressor along with a Shigure SD with a holo sight. They get to the location to see it's heavily guarded with patrols of drones, vehicles, and pirates with some being heavies wielding heavy weapons.
"I will watch you from here," Cortez said as he rested on a hill overlooking the pirate base.
"Miss Rebecca, get me to one of the server rooms. I can hack their subnet and turn their defenses against them," Klunk said.
"Preem sounds like a plan. Cover me," Rebecca slides down the hill to wield her shotgun to get behind cover.
"I got your back, your very sexy back," Cortez can see her bubbly ass in her formfitting hot pants.
"You can admire my lovely booty later," Rebecca said lightly as Cortez fired several shots to take out pirates in the head killing them off. Rebecca sneaks through the rows of pirates and drones. Her boyfriend gives her covering fire via suppressed shots.
Rebecca double jumps on top of a large shipping container to see a window leading inside. She jumps across the gap to leap through the window to punch a pirate in the head. She knocks him onto the floor to stomp on his head crushing it.
"I am inside," Rebecca said via radio.
"Good, I am going to cause some confusion outside. Find the server room," Cortez said as he began to take over Wyverns and Griffins causing them to turn against their users. He hacks a truck to make it explode killing off groups of pirates and robots.
"The fuck is going on here?" the pirates wondered as a Griffen flies into a group of enemies to explode killing them off. Cortez fires suppressed shots from his Kyubi to cut into their heads. He turns on the turrets of the building to turn against the pirates.
"Shit, someone is here. Find them but kill these rouge machines," the pirates said as Cortez changed positions. A Minotaur explodes killing off another group of enemies.
Rebecca heads inside to find pirates guarding the server room. "Time to turn them into mash," Rebecca moves in to use Guts to blast apart the pirates' bodies. She shoves her arm through a woman's body to throw her into a crowd of pirate goons. She fires frag shells to let the explosive pellets tear apart the enemies.
Rebecca kicks a pirate to knock her down onto the floor to shoot a buckshot to turn her head into a red mist.
"Damn it, we are being attacked," a pirate said as his head explodes from Rebecca's slug.
"No shit, dumbass," Rebecca arrives at the server room to see a few Griffins protecting it. They detected her presence to began shooting at her. The bullets bounce off her skin weave to shoot them out of the air to drop lifelessly onto the floor.
"Hook me into their network," Klunk said to get off Rebecca's back to plug into the system to be inserting a demon allowing him to switch the friend/foe ID of the automatic defenses against the pirates. "Interesting, seems like there is a secondary network deeper in the base," Klunk said.
"Clever bastards. Babe, we managed to hi-jack the systems but there is more down below," Rebecca said as Cortez could see the drones and robots turning against the pirates.
"I can see but it's expected. They know what they are doing. I will be meeting you inside," Cortez said as he slipped through the chaos to see the pirates trying to shoot at the Minotaurs and Griffens along with auto-turrets.
He fires onto several heads to put big holes leaving bloody trails behind. He drives his knife into a nearby pirate woman's neck to rip out a chuck of flesh. Blood flows down onto her chest to die on the spot.
Then suddenly, the Vargus drone helicopters begin to fire at Cortez being surprised by this. "Seems like the backup systems regain control of the drone copters," Cortez said as he got behind cover to avoid the gunships.
"What's going on?" Rebecca asked on the radio.
"Sorry, the backup system restored the helicopter drones and they are shooting at me," Cortez said as he rushed for his next cover with his previous one getting destroyed by a barrage of missiles.
"Damn it, I saw some Eagle Eyes you can use to take them out. Stay alive babe," Rebecca wishing him luck as the turrets were destroyed by a bunch of missiles.
"There goes that," Coirtez said as the Eagle Eye is an anti-air missile launcher that has 2 homing missiles on a side-mounted magazine. "I need to find it," he said searching through the outside area while dodging gunfire and missiles.
He rolls behind a crate to lose sight of the gunships as he finds the launcher to grab onto it and lock onto the target. She fires two rapid shots as the drone using flare deflects the first one but the second one gets through to hit its tail. The gunships spin out of control and crash onto the docks.
"One more left," he reloads the magazine on the side to lock on and fire. The two missiles got through the flares to slam onto the side of the Vargas drone gunship seeing it blow up in the air. "Yes!" he said tossing aside the Eagle Eye to head inside. "I managed to take out the gunship drones," Cortez said on the radio.
"Such a badass baby," Rebecca feels happy he managed to do this.
"All in a day's work," Cortez said feeling proud of his drone-killing skills to go into the subbase main complex to meet with Rebecca in the server room. "Find anything interesting?' Cortez asked.
"Well, the keycard is located at the bottom of the complex within a security room. Then you got cages down there but I can't see what is inside," Rebecca said.
"Could be more hostages," Cortez said.
"I found something interesting. It's that leader Hawk and someone else talking while they were here," Klunk said.
"Put it up Tin Can," Cortez said as they looked at the screen to see an old security recording of Hawk and his lover Gene.
"Seems like the boss Vexx has come onto a good deal," Gene said.
"At the fucking trust. We can fuck with the Corpos, take them in for ransom money from their rich families, and then sell them off into trafficking anyway. The perfect plan," Hawk said with a devilish smile thinking this was a genius plan.
"What if the Corpos make a move on us?' Gene is being cautious about this.
"Don't be so anal babe, we got that covered. The rejects we can't sell will be given to Biotechnica for their various human experiences. All those little buggers were once like them. Too bad for them," Hawk said.
"Pretty fucked up," Gene said.
"Yeah, but what can you do? We sell them test subjects and they cover up the whole thing. A mutual relationship," Hawk said.
"Vexx is playing close to his chest," Gene said as Hawk got behind to hold him tenderly to kiss him on the cheek.
"Relax, we got this. I got our little kingdom here. Faraway from all this nonsense. For you, me, and Maria," Hawk said as the recording ended.
"Gee, I don't want to see the musclehead crossing swords with his girly boyfriend," Rebecca said as Cortez looked on with a focused expression. "What's up babe?" she asked.
"They mention their boss is Vexx. That is bad news," Cortez said.
'Why is that?' Rebecca asked as Klunk pulled out a database of the South African crime lord.
"He is a powerful man who owns and runs his criminal empire based in the Pacific Ocean. He owns several island chains including microstates to make them into fortresses. He already owns his private army called the Privateers, vicious enforcers of his empire ranging in the 500,000 range. He does things like drugs, human trafficking, and weapon shipments along with other illegal things," Cortez said.
"Damn, he is quite a big shot. Him dealing with Biotechnica and selling them test subjects for covering their asses. I bet Stella would be interested in this," Rebecca said as Klunk gathered data into his system to make a shard holding it all in.
"Here you go Miss Rebecca," Klunk said as she slotted it into her neck slot for safekeeping.
"Thanks, little guy," Rebecca said as they kept moving forward.
"Gee, getting deeper within this region. Not just pirates here, a full-on criminal operation is going on," Cortez said as he reloaded his Kyubi semi-auto assault rifle to keep pushing forward deeper within the subbase.
Elsewhere Stella is reading a book within her tent to get a call from Rebecca. "Hey Stella, I got something for you," she said.
"Oh, hey Rebecca, what do you have?" Stella asked,
"Data of Biotechnica working with the pirates," Rebecca said as this piqued Stella's interest.
"Transfer it," Stella said as Rebecca was giving the data via transfer. "Oh boy, this is crazy. Human test subjects and becoming these monstrous hybrids Biotechnica is cooking," Stella feeling disgusted about this.
"Can't believe it goes this deep," Rebecca said.
"I don't Sasha knew how deep this goes. This is beyond illegal but their positive research for humankind keeps them in the public's good graces. What a complete farce," Stella said.
"Stella," Rebecca feeling sympathy for her.
"I am okay, sorry for worrying Becca," Stella said.
"It's okay, we will sort this out," Becca said as Stella noticed something.
"There are mentions about Haze here. Biotechnica's company town on the island near the coastline of California, I wonder if we can check it out after we get out of here. There could be important data there, I can use," Stella said.
"We are going to check on Haze?" Rebecca asked.
"Yep, I am going to check it with V and Panam. I need you there Rebecca," Stella said.
"I will speak with you later," Rebecca said.
"Haze, what will I find there," Stella said.
Back with Rebecca and Cortez moving downward to where the keycard is. "So, we got ourselves so rats within our base," a smooth voice said on the speakers.
"So, you must be Gene," Cortez said.
"The crazy pirate leader femboy lover," Rebecca said.
"I prefer the term beautiful man. Anyway, you have been quite naughty here. My troops along with our pets will deal with you," Gene cuts the line as more Red Tide thugs appear to engage with them.
"Shit, more pirate trash," Rebecca said toughening her skin weave to block several shots to use her shotgun to get up close to blast them in half. Blood and guts scattered across the walls and crates.
Cortez stuns them with painful shocks as Rebecca tears them in half with her super strength. She grabs a broken body and tosses it at a group of enemies to smash into them. He clips them in the head with his Kyubi rifle as he sets one of the pirates on fire via hacking.
Rebecca tackles a pirate to send them flying into a wall which violently bursts apart on impact.
"Don't let them near the bottom levels," A pirate wearing a Centaur suit equipped with a hailstorm minigun began tearing into the area. Cortez dodges toward cover and Rebecca gets hit several times to send her flying across the room.
"Shit," she said as she took some damage to inject some health booster into her body to let the nanobots repair the wounds on her body.
"Lucky those were normal rounds," Cortez said as he fired a mini rocket from his PLS to strike the exoskeleton to greatly damage it. Rebecca kicks crates to slam into the exosuit as she lines up a slug and fires onto the guy's head seeing it get vaporized by the powerful round.
Cortez tosses a Cluster grenade to toss a grenade to explode and unleash bomblets to let out even more explosion killing off groups of enemies. "All cleared," Cortez said as they saw a set of stairs going downwards. "Ladies first," Cortez said lightly.
"Cute," Rebecca said as she raised her shotgun to take point. "Do you hear running water?" Rebecca asked.
"Yep, seems like there is some flooding here," Cortez said as they stopped on a floor to see the stairs below were flooded. "Damn it," he said to see there is a large gate that can't be opened.
"Seems like the lever is on the other side," Klunk said as Rebecca took Klunk off as well as crop jacket and her hot pants.
"What are you doing?' Cortez asked to see Rebecca stripped only to her blue sports bra and blue panties.
"I am going to swim down there; I don't need anything getting caught on anything. Hold my things," she said tossing him his shorts, jacket, and weapons.
"How long can you hold your breath?" he asked.
"With my new lungs about 10 minutes. I will be right back," Rebecca said with a cute wink to jump into the water to begin swimming through the flooded area. Rebecca swims through the hallways to see a bunch of pirates floating lifelessly in the water. "Seems like Gene planned this," she thought to see a set of stairs to swim upward.
She raises her through the water to see a guard standing nearby to leap up to grab onto the pirate to snap her neck. "Sleep tight," Rebecca grabs a BMG-500 MMG to have 150 rounds in a metal ammo box. "Chew on this," Rebecca fires into groups of enemies as the pirates try to fight her but she is tearing into their bodies. "Die pirate scum," Rebecca empties the machine gun to kill off several pirates. She tosses the empty machine gun on the floor to reach the gate to pulls the lever to unlock it. "Open sesame," she said lightly.
"Good work," Cortez gives her stuff back to fit onto her person.
"Thanks, baby," she said to pat her hot pants as Cortez grabbed a Multishot grenade launcher loaded with Cluster grenades.
They go forward towards the location to see a fleet of stairs not covered in water. "Seems like they sealed the water in certain areas," he said as they went down the level to see Wyverns and a LAW guarding another gate.
The LAW is firing its AGL 40 to spread grenades to tear down cover while the Wyverns trying to flank them. Cortez lobs a cluster grenade to strike the robot with a series of explosives to heavily damage it as he uses another mini rocket to finish it off. Rebecca fires her Lexington with her 9mm rounds knocking them out of the air.
"Another gate and more water," Cortez said as Rebecca stripped down to her underwear again.
"I got this," Rebecca said leaping into the water to swim into the flood areas to see something unusual. "The hell was that?" she thought as she kept swimming at rapid speed to see a weird humanoid creature looking frog-like. "Ugly as hell," Rebecca said as the frog creature swam towards her with its big mouth trying to swallow her whole.
She dives down to avoid its mouth and smashes her fist into the beast to knock it into a wall. She goes over to grab its head and snaps its neck killing it instantly. "Great more monsters to deal with," Rebecca gets to an air pocket to climb out of there. She rushes towards a pirate to leap onto his shoulders to twist his neck with her strong thick thighs.
"Good night asshole," Rebecca said as she grabs an Ajax assault rifle filled with 6.5mm rounds in a 60-round casket magazine. She goes to fire rounds at the pirates to wipe them out and they are surprised by this crazed petite lady going on a rampage.
She empties her rifle to toss it away as she tosses a Gash Grenade which has arcs of laser beams slicing up their bodies to clear out the area. She pulls the lever to unlock the gate to let Klunk and Cortez through.
"Nova job there," Cortez said as Rebecca put her stuff back on to keep going forward.
"Babe, there is something here. A new monster," Rebecca said.
"Oh, you found our new pets. One of Biotechnica's experiments, a human/frog hybrid dubbed Froggers. You bought the humanlike version of Frogger 1 but you haven't met model 0 or model 2 yet. You will be happy to see them," Gene said to hold back a laugh.
"Bastard, gee there are more of these fuckers," Rebecca said as they are getting closer to the keycard location to hear weird noises.
"I don't like this," Cortez said as he held his grenade launcher to see a weird creature Rebecca looked with horror.
"Goodness, that's it. Man, it's uglier than I thought," Rebecca commented to see its bipedal, bluish moist skin, webbed hands, and feet, a frog-like head and mouth, and standing over 6 feet tall.
The Frogger lets out a deep below to lunge at them with Rebecca putting a magnum shot into its head killing it fast. Then a lot of Froggers rush at them at frightening speed while bouncing off the walls.
"Oh shit!" Rebecca and Cortez said at the same time to run away to not want to get eaten. Cortez fires his remaining cluster grenades to unleash waves of bomblets to wipe out half of the mutants but the remaining ones keep rushing at them with no pause.
"Gee, there are so many of them," Klunk said flatly to see the frog/human mutants trying to use their tongues to latch onto one of them. One of the Frogger 1s hits Rebecca with its tongue trying to pull her into its big mouth.
"Oh fuck," Rebecca said as she rips it off with her strength to get free from its sticky grip. Cortez fires its mini rocket to take out more Frogger 1s with a strong blast.
"You, okay?" Cortez asked to use his Shigure SD to unleash several hollow point pistol rounds to tear into the soft bodies of the mutants to drop down onto the floor.
"Yep, not trying to be frog food," Rebecca said as Klunk could see they were very close to the keycard's location.
They hear a big roar to see a 7-foot mouth with beefy legs and tiny arms. "What is that?" Rebecca wondered.
"It must be the Frogger 2 model," Klunk said flatly as it approached them to spread out its huge maw ready to swallow them whole. Cortez fires onto the beast with his submachine gun but it's not slowing it down. He aims his PLS but it clicks empty using up the ammo.
Rebecca fires slugs to rip into the maw blasting off pieces of it and killing it off with a few slug rounds. "No more frogs," Rebecca said as they went into the security room to find the second keycard.
"Preem, we got it," Cortez said as Klunk went to the console to begin planting a demon to take control of the rest of the base's defenses to make its defenses turn against the pirates. Cortez grabs a Budget Arms flamethrower called a CRISP-er on the weapon rack. "Nice, time for some boiled frog legs," Cortez said to see the fuel tank on the back sporting a bullpup design.
"Time to get out of here. There is a lift nearby, we can use to get back to the surface," Klunk said as he highlighted a route to the lift which is on the other side of the area.
"Let's move," Cortez said as the duo rushed out of there to see water beginning to leak into the area. "Shit," he said to keep going to see Frogger 1s swarming them. "Burn you, freaks," Cortez unleashes a stream of flames from his CRISP-er to roast them up as they are very vulnerable to fire.
Rebecca can see this is very effective against them. "I need to pack up Dragon's Breath shells," Rebecca notes within her mind. They find another gate blocking their path. "Here I go again. Cover the door," Rebecca strips down to hand her stuff and swim into the hole to swim towards the other side.
"here they come again," Klunk said as the Frogger 1s rushed towards Cortez to get into the streams of flames burning them to a crisp. They were piling up onto a burning flesh pile.
Rebecca is swimming to see the Frogger 1s moving around. "You got to be shitting me," Rebecca thought trying to avoid them but one of them spotted her. The frogman is trying to grab her head but Rebecca kicks the beast and snaps its neck killing the mutant.
She grabs a knife from a floating pirate to see two more Frogger 1s with Rebecca slashing and stabbing into their heads. Leaving them floating in the water bleeding red all over.
She finds an opening to get back onto the dry floor to see the pirates and monsters getting killed by robotic defenses. Rebecca goes up to the gate to pull the lever to unlock the gate.
"Thanks, it's time to split," Cortez said as they reached the lift to begin going upward. Water is flooding the subbase and the pirates were wiped out. They managed to get outside to head over the truck with Cortez marking the weapon shipments here. "Yo Mitch, there are explosive launchers. They will be useful," Cortez said on the radio.
"Perfect, there are movements of Militech armor in the region. We are going to need all the help we can get," Mitch said as the trio got into the truck to secure their prize the second keycard. Now there are ¼ ways of getting out of that hellscape.
