thoughts

When Harry woke up, he found himself in his mindscape sighing he started to look around the castle. While looking at the castle, he thought.

"Based on what the last guys said and the information I heard from the bookstore owner. I'm being taken to the Urû-baen, and that will take a while."

He sighed agian. "I'll just have to take advantage of the time and fix my Occlumency sheilds." He thought as he started to fix the damage, the rubble flowed back to its original position. Once the outside of the castle was completely fixed, he started to the entrance hall. After entering, he saw something new a monument of the elder wand. Sitting in the middle of the room as if it had always been there.

It was made out of marble. Drawing closer to the statue, he felt the magic radiating out from it. Saturating the entrance hall, "What is this thing? It's slowly leaking magic out to the rest of the castle. Where did this come from?" He asked himself. Taking a few moments, he thought about where this monument could have come from. When he remembered his conversation with Life.

Flashback Start

Footsteps lightly sounded behind him, spinning around he saw Life standing there. "What are you doing here?" He asked in surprise.

"I can't visit a friend?" She said.

"A friend huh funny I dont get friend vibes from you." Harry replied.

"Why not?" She questioned.

"I don't know, just a feeling, I suppose, though it might have something to do with you pushing me out of the train." He replied sarcasticly.

"I said I was sorry for that, didn't I?" She said, protesting.

"You didn't say sorry. Death gave me some dittany and told me you felt bad." Harry deadpaned.

"Samething." She said, waving her hand dismissively.

Harry sighed, "Why are you here?" He asked tiredness evident. He was turning to leave when he heard her question.

"I thought you might like to know why your magic levels are regenerating so slowly." She said.

He stopped and stared at her. "Did you do this on purpose?" He asked with his eyes narrowed.

"Of course not." She said, waving her hand dismissively. "If you had been paying attention on the train, I would have told you about this then."

"What about all the time I was at Helens trying to get used to this body?" He demanded.

"At first, it was punishment for not paying attention, but then I forgot." She said lightly, tapping the side of her head with her fist.

"I now know why Death seemed so exhausted." He mumbled.

"Did you say something?" She asked curiously.

"No, it's nothing." He sighed. "Just tell me why my magic is regenerating so slowly."

"It's a multitude of factors, starting with the bloodlines you chose. The Blackfyres were incredibly inbred. The woman I used for the DNA sample was as far apart from the inbreeding as I could get, but she still had problems from the massive amounts her ancestors did.

"The Greystarks weren't as bad, but like all noble lines, they were inbred to some point. Their line served to help get rid of some of the worst problems from the Blackfyre line. The only problem would have been the weak to almost no magic this body had. The ritual the Targaryens did to bind their creations, they called dragons to them strengthend their latent magic, but it had consequences making their native magic rebel against them. Though the ritual kept the worst of the effects of inbreeding from affecting them for centuries. With a little tweaking, I managed to remove all of the lingering effects of their greedy decisions. Luckily, the bloodlines you chose were both strong and compatible."

"Then what is the issue?" He asked.

"Dont interrupt." She lightly scolded. "The issue is that the ritual still affects this body, which you saw the manifestation of in your mind blocking your magic. The Hollow powers that Death bound to you did not help this issue combining with the ritual and strengthening the block. I doubt you would have noticed it otherwise." She continued.

"So what can I do about this?" He asked.

"Nothing." She shrugged. "As you get used to this body getting more insync with it, the hollow blocks will lift, leaving the effects of the ritual. There is also the issue that you're still using a wand."

"What's wrong with using a wand? I've done it my whole life." He asked, surprised.

"That's the issue it might have been fine in your original world, but you should have noticed that wandless magic is far faster than using a wand. Wandless magic does not produce a light effect, taking effect almost immediately. Besides this worlds magicians don't use wands, they strictly use wandless magic. To fit in, you will have to learn wandless magic." She stated. He wasn't surprised that Alegasias' magic users only used wandless magic with them invoking concepts they more then likely did not see the need to try and make one.

"That's all I needed to say next time. Pay attention." She said, slowly fading away.

"Wait, what about the ritual? How can I get rid of the effects?" He asked.

"Hmm, I suppose you deserve a hint." She said, still fading. "Only a dragon can undo a dragon." Just as she finished the last word, she completely disappeared.

Flashback End

His eyes widened before he started running through the castle, willing the rubble he saw on his way back to where it belonged.

He arrived at the entrance to the chamber of secrets, opening the sink and running through the tunnels. Opening the door before the chamber, he ran up to the statue and entered the secret room. Only to see the orb glowing a bright, almost neon green.

"It's more than I've had the entire time here." He breathed in wonder. Looking at the orb, it slowly started to fill something it had not done since he landed from his trip on the train. He placed his hands on the orb, following the magic to the blockage.

There, he saw that the blockage had changed the dragon statue had one of its wings raised letting more magic flow through. Being careful not to get too close in case it moved like last time. Flying around it, he saw that on the wing that was lifted was the symbol of the elder wand. After a while, he exited the chamber, re-enableing all the traps and locks.

Continuing to fix the damage to the castle, he pondered on the strange phenomenon. After some time, he came to the conclusion that when he was struggling with the mage trying to break his grip. It proved to be a catalyst for him to sync up more with the new body. Enabling him to use wandless magic and freeing some of his magic from the block.

"Why did this happen?" Harry wondered before shaking his head. "I'm not going to reject the perks that come with it." He thought while getting back to fixing his occlumency barriers. Once he had managed to fix them enough that they would keep out any idel scans he decided that it was time to wake up and gather some information on his new situation.

Many hours since capture

He woke up to find his hands and feet tied and that he was strapped to a saddle. On the back of a giant naked creature, it had a hairless body, similar to that of a newborn mouse. It had tight corded muscles, large, leathery wings. Hind legs rippling with muscle, the creature had a seven foot long beak, and eyes the size of a grown man's fist, with no pupil or iris. Looking behind the creature, he saw it also had a long ratlike tail. "What the hell is this thing?!"

He thought before looking at the thing riding in front of him. It looked vaguely human in shape, having two legs and two arms, with a large hump on its back. He pulled his legs up as far as he could, before kicking out with all the strength he could get with such little movement. Only to feel what he thought was armor but looking closer he saw that it was a hard exoskeleton, as the rider turned to look at him he saw a hooked, sharp beak the thing opened its mouth and he saw a barbed, purple tongue in its mouth.

"Do not struggle." It hissed. "We've been ordered to bring you to the king, but accidents happen, and we are so hungry we've not had a feast in such a long time." Harry could almost see the drool leaking out of its mouth.

"What are you?," he asked.

"We are Ra'zac." It replied before turning back to the front. The Ra'zac, as it called itself, turned to the rising sun before touching the giant creatures neck.

The creature started to slow down before locating a clearing. It started to circle the clearing getting lower every pass until it landed. The Ra'zac turned to Harry unstraping him from the creature and picking him up like he weighed nothing, before throwing him to the ground. He grunted as he hit the ground feeling his shoulder dislocate.

The Ra'zac jumped down after him, grabbed his leg with one hand, and dragged him to the side of the clearing. To make room for another creature to land, it looked just like the first one just a slightly different size.

"Is it younger or a different sex? Female perhaps." Harry idly mused. When another Ra'zac jumped down from the creature. It to was smaller than the one that was riding with Harry. It walked over to Harry and started speaking to the larger Ra'zac that he was riding with, all he could hear from them was hisses and clicks before they turned to the creatures still hissing and clicking. It was only his experience with Aragog and his children that he could tell the smaller one was female.

The giant creatures walked to the edge of the clearing before using their rear legs to start digging a den beneath the trees. The larger Ra'zac grabbed Harry and dragged him over to the creatures before starting to help with the digging. While the smaller one stood guard over Harry, making sure he didn't escape.

"What are the Ra'zac?" Harry asked the creatures. He was ignored. When the creatures were finished digging, the smaller Ra'zac grabbed Harry, dragging him into the den with the same ease the larger one had when moving him.

The giant creatures followed them into the den. The last one to enter was dragging a tree it had knocked over to cover the entrance. Once the entrance was blocked, it left the den in darkness with no light able to get in. The creatures took out food of some kind and started to eat he could hear the crunching of bones and slurping as they sucked on something.

After they had finished eating, their mounts started eating. Once they were all fed they started to move around the den finding comfortable spots and soon started to fall asleep. Harry managed to sit up and drag himself over to a root running through the den. With supreme effort he managed to use it to pop his shoulder back in place. He grunted before sighing in relief as he thought about his options.

While testing his bindings, he looked around to find that he had nothing to cut them. If he did use magic to free himself, he wouldn't be able to get past the creatures.

"I can't use apparition. The only place I've been is teirm."

"Not to mention the only place I know in enough detail is Helens' house, and that would be the first place they look for me. I don't even know how far we've traveled." He thought. "I could use my animagus form, but I'd have the same problem with the creatures. No, it's better to save that for later when I can make a clean getaway." He sighed. "There's nothing I can do."

He slid down to the floor and laid down, letting out a breath. "The only good thing in all this is that I can finish fixing my occlumency barriers during this trip." He thought to himself, closing his eyes. resigning himself to a long trip.

A few days later

"Finally, my occlumency barriers are back to full strength." Harry sighed the creatures had kept the same routine for the last few days. Flying during the night and setting down to dig a den or enter a cave in the mornings. The repetitive routine and long flights helped speed up the process of fixing his barriers. If only because he had nothing better to do than work on them all night and part of the morning before going to sleep.

Now, though, they were finally approaching a city. It was a tangled mess of ramshackle buildings, constructed of rough brown wood, overlooking winding, narrow streets a small section of the city was situated outside the walls and was made up of ramshackle huts and lean-tos. He had a hard time believing that this was the kingdoms capital.

Harry saw a circle of yellow surrounding the city center. As they got closer to the ground, it was revealed that it was a wall of yellow daubed mud. After they landed, the smaller Ra'zac jumped to the ground, being greeted by the people in the courtyard they had landed in. The Ra'zac riding in front of Harry turned to start unstraping him from the saddle. Once he was free, the Ra'zac lifted him over its shoulder and threw him to the one on the ground before jumping after him.

The smaller Ra'zac turned from the people and caught him before dropping him to the ground. Then it untied his feet before using the rope to tie onto his bound hands and pulling him into the tallest building in the city. Its barbed, black spire rose over five hundred feet above ground. It looked like a gothic cathedral. Once they entered the building, the Ra'zac left the path and pulled him into a concealed room with a table, and people with various missing body parts.

There was a person who was overall extremely deformed. It had no arms or legs. It didn't appear as a man or a woman. Atop its head was a large crest. It was being carried by four people on a chair made of wood.

"The old ones have arrived." The thing announced reverently, "Kneel before your gods."

Everyone in the room knelt before the two Ra'zac. "Hail the old gods!"

"Hail the old gods!" They chanted as one their voices echoing in the cathedral.

"What the hell?"

Harry thought. "What's wrong with these people? They worship monsters." He asked himself."Bring the offerings!" The thing cried. The people surrounding the table moved to the sides, while two more people brought in dead bodies, each one carrying one of them. Before kneeling before the Ra'zac and setting the bodies down in front of the Ra'zac. The smaller Ra'zac immediately sat down and started eating the body. Harry was disgusted. "Take this one to the cells." The larger Ra'zac hissed pushing him towards the acolytes. Before sitting down and eating as well. The acolytes quickly grabbed Harrys arms and started dragging him to wherever the cells were with one of them leading the way and the last bringing up the rear."It's now or never." he thought.

Using their hands as pivot points, he tucked his legs to his chest and kicked at the acolyte in front of him. He made solid contact, sending him flying into the ones holding the chair with the thing sitting in it. Shouts and curses quickly followed his actions. The force of the kick loosened the hold the two holding his arms had on him. Letting him fall to the ground, rolling back to his feet, he swung his bound hands at the acolyte on the left.

Connecting with his face, he saw blood and teeth fly from the acolyte before he ducked under the man on the right attempt to grab him. Spinning around with his left leg out, he connected with the last acolytes ribs feeling something give as he did so. The acolyte was lifted of his feet and slammed into the one he had ducked under, knocking them both to the ground. Screams of pain were his reward fro his actions.

He turned and started running to the door he saw the outside with the sun rising. Before, he felt an overwhelming attack on his occlumency barriers. It was so fast and direct that it almost broke through his newly repaired sheilds. It took all his concentration and willpower to keep his sheilds up. It felt like his sheilds were being pressed on all sides.

"Impossible." He thought in shock. "No one is this strong in the mind arts, especially legilimency. This thing is far stronger than Voldemort ever was." Were his thoughts as he fell to the ground completely focused on keeping the intruder out.

He heard footsteps approaching him cautiously.

"Grab him." He heard as his arms and legs were grabbed, and he was picked up. "His mind is formidable, but I will get in eventually." The limbless thing claimed."Take him to the dungeon." The last thing he saw was the doors slamming shut blocking the sunlight. Before, he had to close his eyes to completely concentrate on his occlumency.
