The group of Demons, Demon Slayers and civilians travelled quickly to the nearest Wisteria House outside the former Entertainment District. After explaining about his two newest Demons, Tanjuro was given a large room to stay in with all of them, so long as they didn't disrupt or scare the other patients. Tanjuro smiled at the man and woman at the door, "thank you very much for your hospitality. We won't cause any trouble, I promise" he said gratefully. As the Kamado and all of his Demons got comfortable, Gyutaro looked around with a slightly derisive snort, "pretty nice place the Demon Slayer Corps has for it's members to heal. We never had anything this nice" he said, moving to start scratching himself.
Tanjuro gently grabbed hold of his hand, causing the black-haired Demon to look up at him, "What is it?" he asked. The Kamado frowned, "could you try not to hurt yourself anymore? Even though you still heal, it hurts me to watch you do that to yourself Gyutaro" Tanjuro explained in concern. "Oh, like you actually care about me. No one's ever cared about me before. Why start now?" the Demon asked, scratching himself again. "Gyutaro," Tanjuro said gently, moving to kneel down in front of him, "I do care. About you, about your Sister. About all of my Demons and family. That's why I don't want to see you hurt yourself again" he explained.
"But why?!" Gyutaro snapped, furious eyes glaring at Tanjuro, as the other Demons standing around gasped, "why do you care so much about me, when no one else ever did?! Even my own Mother hated me! So why would you, a stranger, care?! Why didn't you just let me die?! What do you want with me?!" he demanded. Tanjuro took a deep breath and let it out slowly, "I just want to try to give you a better life than the one you had before. I don't know what you went through, but for you and your little Sister to have become Demons, something terrible must have happened to you both" he replied calmly.
"You're right, you don't know! You don't know what it's like to have nothing! To be nothing! To have everyone, even your own Mother despise you! Wish you were dead! Try to kill you more times than you can count!" Gyutaro yelled. Tears were now streaming down his cheeks, but no one said anything, Ume hiding her face in her hands. "You don't know what it's like to only have one good thing in your life, and work so hard to take care of and protect that thing, only to have it taken away from you as well! If we hadn't become Demons, Ume and I would have died that night!" he screamed, panting, before, turning to storm away.
"B-Big Brother, wait!" Ume cried, following him out of the room. There was a horrified silence in the bedroom, before Hakuji broke it with a very eloquent: "fuck". Tanjuro frowned worriedly. What had they gone through as humans? It sounded like something truly horrible had happened to them both. Many times. He clenched his fists, well, they were his Demons now, which meant that he should at least try to help them. Tanjuro followed the Siblings to where they'd run, finding both Gyutaro and Ume sitting up in a tree together. He silently scaled the tree, seeing them sitting curled up together on a large branch.
"Are you two alright?" Tanjuro asked softly. The green-haired young man looked up at him with a glare, "what are you doing here?" he hissed. "I just wanted to see if you were okay. You seemed pretty upset earlier" the Demon Kamado said gently. "Why do you care? No one's ever cared about us before" Gyutaro replied, hiding his face in his arms. Tanjuro frowned in concern, "what do you mean? What about your parents?" he asked gently. The green-haired Demon looked away, "either not around or hated us," Gyutaro scowled, before sighing, "our Mom tried to kill me multiple times both before and after I was born.
Because I was ugly, and filthy, so I was hated in the Entertainment District. Children were extra mouth's to feed, so we were cursed just for existing. My little Sister was the only good thing in my life. But when she turned 13, she started to work at one of the Pleasure Houses, and I was working as a Debt Collector. One day, a Samurai came to her House and provoked Ume into attacking him. She stabbed him in the eye with hr Hair Pin" Gyutaro explained. Tanjuro winced harshly at the imagery. "I didn't know. I was out working. When I went to pick her up, I'd found that my little Sister had been bound and burned alive in a ditch". "WHAT?!" Tanjuro cried.
"Who would do something like that to a little girl!?" he seethed, clenching his fists furiously. "When I got home and found her, all I could do was clutch her close to me and scream. Then the Samurai sliced me in the back. All I could think of was how furious I was, and how much I hated those people. So I killed them both with the Sickle I used in my work. No one helped us, not one person. Then a Demon did." Gyutaro finished. Tanjuro looked sad, "how could no one have helped you two?" he asked. "It was a long time ago. Things were different I guess" the green-haired Demon replied in a melancholy voice.
Tanjuro placed a hand on Gyutaro's shoulder, "I would have saved you both no matter what. I would never have let something so horrible happen to you" he said with a pained expression on his face. The green-haired Demon looked vulnerable again, and Tanjuro looked down, "I'm at least glad that I could save you this time" he replied. Gyutaro sighed and leaned back against the tree, "so, what does being one of your Demons mean? Do you want us to do things for you, like- like Muzan did?" he asked. "Not at all. Like I said before, if you want to stay in a safe place, you don't have to join me on Missions. You can stay back with my family" Tanjuro said.
Gyutaro looked nervous, but he nodded, "th-thank you- I guess" he replied. Tanjuro stood up and nodded with a smile, as he left and went back inside the Wisteria House.

Tanjuro snuggled with his Wife in a bed in the Wisteria House. "Hhhhmmmmm" Kie sighed, hugging her Husband close. "I'm glad that you're okay Kie. I'm glad that we're all okay. I can't wait to get home to our children" Tanjuro said with a smile. "Mhm!" Kie replied with a smile through her muzzle. Tanjuro sighed, "at least we get some time to rest before we go home. I'm sure Rokuta will be happy to see us. And my other children too" he said. Tanjuro wondered if Kie knew that the other children were adopted and not her own.
As he stared at his Wife, he couldn't help but think about the possibility of turning her into one of his Demons too. it would ensure Muzan couldn't get his hands on her. But for some reason, the thought, though logical, left him with a bad taste in his mouth. He could turn Kie into one of his Demons, but- Tanjuro wasn't sure what it was, he just didn't want to make his Wife one of his Demons. "Hm?" Kie hummed worriedly. Tanjuro shook his head, "don't worry Dear. I'm alright" he replied.
He hugged her, feeling more relived than ever that she had survived. "I'm, so sorry Kie. I never should have let you be in so much danger," he curled in on himself, "I'm a horrible Husband, aren't I?" Tanjuro asked. Kie shook her head, humming in disagreement. The Kamado Father smiled softly, stroking his Wife's hair behind her ear, "thank you love. You always know how to make me feel better, even when you can't speak. I promise, we'll all be human again, and live peacefully together with the rest of our family. Once I kill Muzan Kibutsuji, we'll be safe again. I won't let anyone take any of you away from me" Tanjuro promised, kissing Kie on the forehead.

It took 2 days for the three little girls to be alright with leaving the Wisteria House. Kisa, Shiro and Aki, now knowing of the existence of Demons, were too scared to leave. Tanjuro, however, reassured them that no Demon would be coming near them with him projecting his presence. "True. Mr Tanjuro's Demonic Aura scares off pretty much every other Demon around, so you'll be safe with us!" Sayuri said cheerfully. "O-okay. I guess that makes sense" Shiro agreed, but was still slightly nervous. "Don't worry. At the speed we've been going, we'll get there soon" Tanjuro promised with a smile.
In fact, it was only a few hours later, that the Kakushi meant to take them back to the Demon Slayer Corps Headquarters met up with them. There were 13 Kakushi this time. "I wrote to the Master to let him know that we had additional members of our group coming back with us" Tengan explained. "Well, that's good. Thank you" Tanjuro replied. After explaining the situation to the two new Demons and three girls, the Kakushi blindfolded everyone and began to carry them back to the Headquarters. After a week, they finally made it back. "Alright," Tanjuro began, looking around at everyone, "you should probably take Shiro, Kisa and Aki to the Butterfly Mansion" he suggested.
The Kakushi nodded, and led the three little girls away. "I'll see you three later, alright?" Tanjuro called, as he waved back at them. After introducing Gyutaro and Ume to Kagaya, they headed back to Mitsuri's house. "So, you live with the Love Hashira?" Ume asked. "That's right. My family and Demons all live there. Miss Kanroji and her family are really nice. They'll love you guys" Tanjuro said happily. "I was surprised by how accepting Lord Kagaya was, considering how many Demon Slayers and Hashira we've killed over the years" Gyutaro said.
As they got closer to the Love Estate, Tanjuro smiled as his children exited the building, led by Tanjiro, "Father!" he cried, followed by all of his Siblings, by birth or adoption. Tanjuro knelt down and grabbed them all into a hug, "I missed all of you, and so did your Mother. Are you all alright?" he asked, hugging Koto and Rokuta, and Teiko and Hanako sobbed as they hugged him and Shizu. "Daddy! I'm so glad that you're okay! Please tell me Mommy is okay too?!" Hanako begged. "Your Mother is fine Hanako, and so is yours Teiko. We're all fine. let's go inside so Kie can come out. She really missed all of you" Tanjuro replied.
He picked up Koto, Rokuta and Haruka, who squeaked in surprise. "You looked a little worried, so I thought I'd show you that I'm fine Haruka" Tanjuro reassured. The little girl gripped onto his Kimono, "oh, thank you" she said softly. As they walked inside, she spoke under her breath, "I'm so glad you're alright Daddy" Haruka whispered, leaning her head against his chest. Tanjuro heard her though, and looked down at the Kanata girl. He smiled softly at her, stroking Haruka's head. As they got out of the sun, Tanjuro placed his children onto the floor and removed Kie's box.
His Wife exited her box and hugged his children. "Mom!" Shigeru cheered, as the little boy hugged her. "Mommy!" Hanako also hugged her Mother, as Rokuta squealed happily at seeing her. "I'm so glad to see you again Mom," Nezuko said happily, as Kie patted her oldest daughter on the head. "Can we play with Mom?" Shigeru asked. Tanjuro frowned slightly, "your Mother might be too tired to play. She needs to recover from our most recent battle" Tanjuro explained. "I wanna sleep with Mama!" Rokuta whined. Soon Kie was asleep in her bedroom with her youngest Son in her arms.
"Hey, why don't we go out tomorrow everyone?" Tanjuro asked. "Yay!" the children cheered.
