Hudiemon, UlforceVeedramon, Justimon and Shakkoumon approached the tall tower. "What was this built for?" Justimon pondered. "And what is the Next Order going to do with it?"

"Nothing if we have anything to say about it." UlforceVeedramon replied.

Just as the attack force approached, a swarm on SkullSatamon appeared around them. "ENEMY AMBUSH DETECTED." Shakkoumon said.

"Yeah, we detected it too." A CatchMamemon replied.

UlforceVeedramon drew his Victory Swords. "Let's do this." Hudiemon declared.

As the battle raged in front of the tower Takumi and the others snuck to the back. They approached it and Keisuke started feeling around the wall until he noticed the hatch and opened it, revealing a panel. As he started tampering with it, Fei looked up. "This tower is huge. Better split up if we're going to rescue Sayo and Koh and catch Hosaka."

"Agreed." Takumi nodded. "Takuto and I will search the lower levels, Ami and Shiki can look in the upper levels. Keisuke, you and Fei head to the top. That's likely where Hosaka is."

"Sounds good to me." Fei smirked. "S'payback time."

"You want me to take Hosaka?" Keisuke asked Takumi in surprise.

"Why not? You beat him before. You know how to deal with him."

Keisuke took a deep breath and nodded. "Okay. Leave it to me." The back door opened. "Let's get going."

Yuugo and Yuuko looked around as they walked through the jungle. Yuugo noticed something sparkling on a rock. "Hey, over here!"

"Ah ha!" HiAndromon hand chopped the rock, and a red object came off it. "Red Digizoit!"

"Perfect!" Yuugo pocketed it. "At this rate we'll have everything we need in no time! Right Yuuko?" Yuugo looked at her sister who was staring off into space. "Yuuko?" She gasped when she heard her brother's voice as he waved his hand in front of her face. "Is something on your mind?"

"We don't know anything about who he is…"

"You mean the spy?"

"That too, but I've been wondering about Brother Sorrow."

"Ah." Yuugo put his hands in his pockets. "It's true. There are so many mysteries regarding him. He hides behind a mask. We know he begrudges you and Zaxon. He has strange hacking abilities."

"And according to Fei he beat her in hand-to-hand combat. That's not something just anyone can do…"

"I see your point. He's just as big of a threat to us as Hosaka…"

"No…" Yuuko shook her head. "I think Brother Sorrow is even more dangerous. We at least know who Hosaka is, and Keisuke has experience on dealing with him. But Brother Sorrow… I don't even know where to begin…"

"There's a lot going on we don't fully understand Yuuko." Samudramon said.

"He's right." HiAndromon nodded. "Why is this in particular bothering you so much?"

Yuuko looked away. Yuugo looked at her before speaking up. "You feel you're responsible for Brother Sorrow, don't you?"

"Am I not? His grudge isn't even with the Resistance or the Digital World. It's me he hates. No one else. What if… what if I created him?"

"Yuuko, we still don't know that's the case. This could just be a misunderstanding for all we know."

"I understand perfectly."

Yuuko and Yuugo gasped and looked to their left. The masked man was standing on a tree branch with folded arms looking down on them as he leaned his back against the tree. "Brother Sorrow?!" HiAndromon gasped.

"What are you doing here?!" Samudramon asked drawing his blades.

The man looked down at them from the tree branch. "What am I doing here? Ever since I joined the Next Order all I cared about was one thing." He stepped off the branch and landed in front of the Kamishiros. With the snap of his fingers BlitzGreymon and CresGarurumon appeared to his sides. "Yuuko Kamishiro… for the pain and suffering you inflicted on us… you shall experience true hell!"

"Wait!" Yuuko stepped forward. "At least tell me what this is about! What did I do that makes you hate me so much?!"

"I told you. I am a remanent of your greatest failure. And you took away what I swore to protect… and now, you shall know my pain! Are you prepared to face judgment?!" He swung his hand forward and his Digimon charged.

"Yuuko, here he comes!" Yuugo said. "We have to fight him!"

"I-I know!"

Samudramon roared as he swung his swords. BlitzGreymon evaded the swing then aimed. "Thunder Fall!" Samudramon was zapped. HiAndromon took out the weapons on his back and blocked CresGarurumon's spear. They grappled for a bit before HiAndromon rolled away as the spear slammed down. "Power Energy!" HiAndromon fired a projectile, but it barley phased CresGarurumon who swung his claws into him.

BlitzGreymon ascended and backed away as he fired from his turret hands. "Samudramon, don't let him get away!" Yuuko activated an SPD Boost.

Samudramon leapt into the air in front of BlitzGreymon and spun forward swinging his blades into him knocking him into the ground then aimed his hand at him. "Destruction!"

"Elect Guard!" BlitzGreymon summoned a barrier that protected him from the attack then charged into the air ramming and grabbing Samudramon. He carried him high into the sky then started spiraling as he dragged him back towards the jungle before letting him go. Samudramon crashed into the ground with a painful thud.

Samudramon grunted as he stood up. "Look out!" Yuuko shouted.

"Plasma Stake!" Samudramon gasped as BlitzGreymon fired a hail of golden pellets towards him. Samudramon ran and hid among the overgrowth below BlitzGryemon who descended to the ground and looked around. "Where is he!?"

"I'm on it." Brother Sorrow took out a monitor. "7:00!"

BlitzGreymon turned behind him slightly to his left and aimed his back cannons just as Samudramon sprung towards him. "Thunder Vernier!" He blasted him with twin golden beams.

"How?!" Yuuko gasped.

"Deception and counter attacks were one of your favorite strategies." Brother Sorrow said. "I know you."

"Atomic Ray!" HiAndromon fired a beam at CresGarurumon who evaded it.

"Fury: Ice Moon Fang!" He coated his blade with ice and rammed it into HiAndromon who tried to block it with his arm only to get blown away with an arm frozen in ice. He slumped against a tree.

"HiAndromon, move!" Yuugo ordered. CresGarurumon roared as he leapt towards him spear in hand. HiAndromon rolled away and the tree he was against was split in half. With his free arm he smashed the ice off his other one. "He's strong…" Yuugo muttered.

Yuuko's Digivice had an image of the Digimon they were facing. Then over BlitzGreymon it displayed a spiky ball symbol and over CresGarurumon a cube symbol. "That's not all. He has a type advantage over you. CresGarurumon's a Data type. BlitzGreymon's a Virus."

"Wait, Samudramon's a Virus and HiAndromon's a Vaccine." Yuugo smirked to his sister.

Yuuko returned her brother's knowing grin. "I believe we are both thinking the same thing, yes?"

Yuugo nodded. "HiAndromon, go for the other one!"

"Samudramon, switch with HiAndromon!"

Samudramon blocked more bullets of light with his swords. "Understood!" He ran away with BlitzGreymon flying after him still firing. Yuuko used a AGL Boost and her Digimon zigzagged evading the shots. HiAndromon pushed CresGarurumon back and ran towards Samudramon. CresGarurumon roared giving chase with his spear.

As they approached each other with their pursuers close behind them, HiAndromon leapt onto Samudramon's shoulder and leapt into BlitzGreymon. "Copy Paste!" He swiped his dual weapons into him knocking him into the ground.

The moment HiAndromon jumped and Samudramon saw CresGarurumon he held his palm out. "Wolkenapalm!" His fiery hand slammed the Data Type and knocked him back.

HiAndromon dodged golden pullets then charged in. "Nanomachine Break!" He slapped BlitzGreymon with electrified weapons.

"Grand Rock!" CresGarurumon threw a boulder at his new target.

Samudramon slashed it in half. "Meteor Fall!" He returned fire knocking him over.

"It's working!" Yuuko said. "Keep up the pressure and victory will be ours!"

Brother Sorrow laughed. "You always were overconfident Yuuko. I will enjoy knocking your ego down a peg." He held his hand towards Samudramon who was charging at CresGarurumon again. "Freeze Frame!"

Samudramon was about to swing his blades when he froze in place. "What?!" Yuuko gasped.

"Cut through!"

CresGarurumon started spinning like a whirlwind. "Beast Cyclone!" He charged through Samudramon before stopping behind him. After a split second Samudramon started moving again and was knocked skyward. CresGarurumon leapt up as he came down and slammed his spear into Samudramon.

Brother Sorrow then pointed at BlitzGreymon who was on the ground in front of HiAndromon. "Skip Frame!" He snapped his fingers.

HiAndromon gasped as his target instantly vanished. "What?!"

BlitzGreymon was snow above and behind him. "Plasma Stake!" He fired more blasts into HiAndromon's back.

"Those abilities again!" Yuuko exclaimed. "How is he doing this?!"

"Ha, ha, ha!" Brother Sorrow turned to Yuuko. "Before you had access to EDEN systems allowing you to do things others can't. Now I am the one with special permissions that allow things you cannot do. It seems the shoe is now on the other foot." He snapped his fingers at CresGarurumon. "Skip Frame!" CresGarurumon who was in front of Samudramon was now behind him and slammed his spear onto the ground. Samudramon was already hit with five cuts and dropped to his knees. "It seems victory has found its way to me this day."

Yuugo growled. "It's not over yet!" He closed his eyes and felt HiAndromon's power. "We won't let you win!" the human and Digimon shouted. HiAndromon ran at BlitzGreymon.

"Plasma Stake!" Yuugo swung his arms repeatedly. HiAndromon did the same deflecting every shot with his blades. "What?!" BlitzGreymon was slashed in the chest. Yuugo spun and he and HiAndromon hit him with a roundhouse kick.

"This is…" Brother Sorrow gasped.

"The Matrix Link!" Yuuko gasped.

"So, this is what Hosaka encountered. BlitzGreymon, exercise caution!"

BlitzGreymon took to the sky. "Thunder Vernier!"

HiAndromon rolled away from the attack. "Hiding up there won't save you!" He said with Yuugo. "Heaven's Thunder!"

Lighting zapped BlitzGreymon out of the sky. "That power allows him to keep up with BlitzGreymon with ease. In that case…" Brother Sorrow held out his Digicive. "Emerge! Creepymon!"

The orange crown of Wrath appeared as the Deadly Digimon of Wrath was summoned. "At last…"

"Leave Yuuko's Digimon to CresGarurumon. Your target is the HiAndromon."

"With pleasure!" He flew towards HiAndromon.

"Yuugo, look out!" Yuuko shouted.

"What?" HiAndromon looked behind him before he had to block Creepymon's claws. He was then shot in the back by BlitzGreymon and hit by Creepymon's Hell Crusher.

"AHH!" Yuugo felt pain in his back and chest as he dropped to his knees.

"Yuugo!" Yuuko ran to her brother's side.

Yuugo grunted opening his eyes. "This isn't good…" The moment the Matrix Link disconnected HiAndromon slowed down and took more blows. Yuugo closed his eyes and stood up. HiAndromon blocked Creepymon's fist behind him with his swords then kicked him. "Atomic Ray!" He fired at BlitzGreymon.

BlitzGreymon was knocked back before he made his move. "Thunder Fall!"

"Burst Flame!" HiAndromon was constantly dodging lightning and caught off guard from behind by a giant fierball.

"AGH!" Yuugo felt the pain again.

"Yuugo, stop using the Matrix Link!" Yuuko pleaded. "You're hurting yourself!"

"I have no choice… HiAndromon doesn't stand a chance on his own…" He felt HiAndromon get shot in the shoulder by BlitzGreymon. "GAH!"

"Yuugo!"

Samudramon pushed CresGarurumon back and started springing towards HiAndromon. "Skip Frame." Brother Sorrow snapped his fingers and CresGarurumon was instantly baring his path making his stop.

"Focus on the fight in front of you fool." CresGarurumon said as he pointed his spear.

Yuugo dropped to his knees and Yuuko caught her. She looked at Samudramon desperate to try to get past CresGarurumon. Then at HiAndromon who was mercilessly getting hacked and blasted by two Digimon. Then what Yuuko saw… instead of their Digimon she saw her young self, crying out and reaching to a young Yuugo being attacked by an Eater. "No…"

Samudramon felt a surge of emotions in him. "Not again…"

Creeypymon picked up HiAndromon and threw him into the air. BlitzGreymon kicked Yuugo's Digimon into a tree knocking it down. Both Yuugo and HiAndromon cried out in pain. "What a farce. And this is what had Hosaka and my fellow Deadly Digimon flee?" Creepymon asked. "Laughable."

"Then let us put an end to these childish games." Brother Sorrow said. "Finish him." Creeymon and BlitzGreymon held their hands towards HiAndromon. The former summoning fire into his palms and the latter charging electricity in his turrets.

"LEAVE HIM ALONE!" Yuuko and Samudramon shouted together. Samudramon dashed past CresGarurumon too quickly for the golden Digimon to stop him and leapt at Creepymon slashing him with his swords with enough force to knock the Deadly Digimon of Wrath into BlitzGreymon knocking them down.

Yuuko closed her eyes when she shouted. And she saw what Samudramon saw. Yuugo looked at his sister in surprise. "…Yuuko…?"

Yuuko was awestruck. She felt Samudramon's power. Saw what he saw. "This is…" they both said as Samudramon looked at his hand.

CresGarurumon roared charging at him from behind. Yuuko clenched her fists as if she were holding blades and Samudramon mimicked her pose holding his twin swords behind his head blocking the spear. Yuuko kicked one of her legs out behind her and Samudramon did the same kicking CersGarurumon in the torso making him stumble back. Yuuko and Samudramon swung their swords upward slashing CresGarurumon knocking him back further. As they breathed the blades glowed blue. "Will-O'-Whisp Slash!" Yuuko and Samudramon shouted swinging their swords sending trails of fire at him, knocking him down.

"She did it…" Brother Sorrow breathed.

Yuugo was in shock. "Matrix Link?"

"I don't know why you hate me so much…" Yuuko quietly spoke as she and Samudramon faced Brother Sorrow. "But I won't let anyone… hurt my brother again!"

"Yuuko…"

"When we first came to this world Yuugo tried to protect all of us… but I'm no longer some helpless child! I'm going to protect him now!"

"You're welcome to try." Brother Sorrow snapped his fingers. "Skip Frame!"

Creepymon appeared behind Samudramon. "Nightmare!"

Yuuko and Samudramon whirled around and deflected a dark projectile before retaliating. "Meteor Fall!" They shot a fiery explosive into Creepymon. They noticed BlitzGreymon flying in for a Nanomachine Break and prepared to block.

"Guard Charge Field!" HiAndromon powered up his and Samudramon's defenses just before BlitzGreymon hit allowing them to block the strike before pushing him away.

Yuuko looked at Yuugo. "Brother…"

Yuugo smiled. "It isn't one way you know. You look out for me, and I look out for you. That's what family does."

Yuuko smiled. "You're right. Okay, let's do this together brother!" They closed their eyes. "Guard Break Field!" Brother Sorrow's three Digimon had their defenses lowered.

"Thunder Fall!" Yuugo and HiAndromon zapped all of them at once.

Samudramon rushed at CresGarurumon and slashed repeatedly. He blocked as many hits as he could with his spear until an upward swing knocked it out of the way for the other blade to thrust into his chest. HiAndromon ran up to BlitzGreymon evading its shots before jumping up to grab him by the legs and slam him into the ground right on CresGarurumon when he tried to get up. Creepymon rushed at HiAndromon from behind, but Samudramon zoomed in to intercept his claws with his blades. HiAndromon jumped off Samudramon's shoulder and he and Yuugo held a flat palm back as he dropped behind Creepymon. "Lightning Blade!" As Yuugo swung his arm HiAndromon did the same sending a wave of light into Creepymon's back.

Samudramon swung his swords in a cross with Creepymon sent flying from the knockback. He put one of his swords into the ground and he and Yuuko held a hand forward and orange particles formed around Creepymon. "Gaia Reactor!" Samudramon and Yuuko clenched their hands into fists and an explosion engulfed Creepymon.

"This is working." Yuugo said. "Just focus on their type weaknesses and we can pull through."

"Hm, hm, hm, hm…" Both twins looked towards Brother Sorrow. "Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!"

"What are you laughing at?" Yuuko asked.

"You're as predictable as ever Yuuko! So set on your own desires! Whether it's ruling EDEN or helping your precious brother, you will do anything to have your way! Even obtaining this special link with your Digimon!"

"We obtained this power though mutual trust and respect!" Samudramon and Yuuko said. "And with it, we will defeat you here and now Brother Sorrow!"

"So sure of yourself, are you? Like I said, I know Yuuko. Discovering the types of opposing Digimon so she could take advantage of their weaknesses is another common strategy of hers. Also… I knew that if put her brother in harm's way, she would become so desperate to protect him that she would obtain what you call the Matrix Link. Just as I planned."

"What?" HiAndromon and Yuugo asked.

"You're bluffing." Yuuko and her Digimon replied.

Brother Sorrow pulled up a monitor. "Am I?" He pressed something and all three of his Digimon glowed with an odd light.

CresGarurumon flew in first. "Let me focus on this one!" Samudramon and Yuuko said as they ran up and blocked the spear. CresGarurumon slowly started to push them back. "What?! He's… stronger now…!"

CresGarurumon thrusted his spear at Samudramon repeatedly who could only block the strikes. Then out of the blue Creepymon grabbed Samudramon's silver hair and swung him into the ground. Yuuko yelped as she felt pain in her scalp as if someone was pulling at her hair followed by an impact as if she was slammed into the ground. Brother Sorrow smirked. "As I suspected. BlitzGreymon, keep HiAndromon and Yuugo from interfering."

"Roger!" BlitzGreymon swooped towards HiAndromon. "Plasma Stake!" He fired rapidly at HiAndromon.

Yuugo and HiAndromon held their arms up in a cross confident they could tank the shots, but they hit much harder this time. "AGH! W-what's going on?! His attacks are doing more damage now!"

"Ripping Net!" BlitzGreymon threw an electrified net at HiAndromon tying him up in it. "Thunder Fall!" He shot more electricity into the net to power it up and immobilize the victim.

"Gah!" Yuugo had to open his eyes and break the Matrix Link just to avoid being immobilized like his Digimon. "What's going on! A Vaccine type should have a sturdy advantage over a Virus type, especially with the Matrix Link!"

Yuuko and Samudramon decided to focus on defeating CresGarurumon. With their type advantage they should be able to take him down quickly and then their enemy won't have the advantage in numbers. "Will-O'-Whisp Slash!" They swung two blades of light. CresGarurumon easily sliced through them with his spear. "What?!"

"Beast Cyclone!" CresGarurumon spun towards Samudramon. He and Yuuko held their swords in a cross trying to block the attack, but CresGarurumon tore through blowing their guard away. "Mach Rush!" CresGarurumin slammed into Samudramon.

Yuuko shrieked as she felt the same impact. "Yuuko!" Yuugo ran up and held her sister by her shoulders.

"How is this happening?" Yuuko asked opening an eye. "Our type advantage isn't helping... if anything it feels like we're the ones with the disadvantage!"

"Almost as if... wait..." Yuugo held up his Digivice towards Brother Sorrow's Digimon scanning them. He then found out what was going on. "His Digimon all have Bug status!"

"What?"

"That's right." Brother Sorrow replied. "Weaknesses and resistances are now reversed. You're type advantage has been turned against you."

Yuuko growled as she squeezed her eyes shut reestablishing the Matrix Link and Samudramon ran at CresGarurumon who easily blocked the swords. "You could have done this the moment we tried to pick on your weaknesses!" they pointed out.

"I'm aware." Brother Sorrow simply replied. "But not only did I figure you could obtain this Matrix Link... but I wanted you to."

"What...? Why would- Samudramon and Yuuko's sentence was cut off when CresGarurumon punched Samudramon back. He staggered and was about to recover when Creepymon was right in front of him.

"Slash Nail!" Samudramon looked down and found the Deadly Digimon's claws in his gut. Yuuko felt the same pain and screamed.

Brother Sorrow smirked. "Sharing your power with your Digimon is quite helpful. But on the other hand, now you have to share their pain."

"Yuuko!" Yuugo shouted. He closed his eyes and he and HiAndromon roared ripping free of the electrical net and made a mad dash for Creepymon.

"Thunder Vernier!" BlitzGreymon snipped HiAndromon with twin powerful beams that were now extra effective blowing HiAndromon down and Yuugo yelled as he collapsed from the pain and shock.

"Y-Yuugo...!" Yuuko weakly yelped. Creepymon removed his claws from Samudramon and grabbed his head in both hands and slammed his skull against Yuuko's Digimon. Then he slammed Samudramon's head onto his knee and then kicked him in the torso with his extended leg. Yuuko cried out feeling each hit.

"Fury: Ice Moon Fang!" CresCarurumon coated his spear in ice and thrusted it repeatedly at Samudramon.

Brother Sorrow laughed as Yuuko screamed covering herself with her arms as she felt the pain. "This is what I've been waiting for! To see you squirm and scream! To watch you writhe in pain! The same pain you inflicted on others!" His eyes started to glow orange as the Crown of Rage appeared in one of his pupils. "Finally, you will know my sorrow! YOU WILL SUFFER MY WRATH!"

CresGarurumon knocked Samudramon high above the forest and towards Creeypymon who was high in the sky glowing red. "Flame... INFERNO!" His signature attack engulfed Samudramon as it blitz the sky. Yuuko felt as if she was engulfed in fire. Her scream echoed through the jungle as she dropped to her knees and toppled to the ground.

Beetlemon punched a tree and pieces of wood flew off it. Kumamon picked one of them up. "That should be all the wood we need."

"Told you we'd find it in no time!" Kazemon smiled.

They heard a sound from above them in the distance. "Huh? What was that?" Lobomon asked.

Agunimon turned to the Warrior of Wind. "Kazemon!"

The flying Digimon nodded and flew into the sky through the trees. She gasped as she saw the massive ball of fire. As it died down, she saw Creepymon grabbing Samudramon by the face and slamming into the ground in a distance spraying fire everywhere. "What was that tremor just now?" Beetlemon asked.

Kazemon hurried back down to the others. "Samudramon's in trouble!"

"What?! He's under attack?!" Lobomon asked.

"Yeah! And if we don't act soon that Digimon he's fighting will set this whole jungle ablaze!"

"Come on!" Agunimon led the team ahead.

Sayo and Koh were panting. Neither of them even had the strength to struggle. "Wow, look how tired they are!" one of the Puppetmon mocked. "Pretty soon they'll break and tell us everything we want to know!"

"Aww, but that means our fun is nearly over!" another one sighed.

The third one snickered. "Not to worry, I have an idea!" He went over to Koh and took out a roll of tape.

"W...what are you doMPH!" The Puppetmon slapped his face smearing the tape over his mouth.

"There we go!" The Puppetmon went over to Sayo and tapped her lips shut next.

"What are you doing?" another Puppetmon asked. "If they can't talk, how are they going to tell us what the boss wants to know?"

"That's just it! They can't tell us! And that means we can play with them forever!"

Sayo and Koh protested into their gags not wanting to suffer this abuse until Hosaka returned to tell the Puppetmon to stop messing around. The Digimon just laughed. "That's great! Now the fun will never end for real!"

One of them smugly looked at the Tamers. "So, are you two going to talk yet?" Sayo and Koh tried to yell but it was impossible to make out words without being able to open their mouths. "No? Okay!" He pressed a button on the control panel and the instruments of torture went back to preying on the helpless kids. "Aww, can't take it?"

Takumi and Takuto wrapped into the room and immediately heard the muffled screams. "That doesn't sound good." Takumi said.

"What's going on here?" Takuto asked barging into the room.

The three Puppetmon turned around. "Huh? Who the heck are you?!" one of them asked.

"Go away!" another growled. "We're trying to have fun here!"

Takumi then looked behind them. "Sayo! ...wait... what...?" Both Sato and Koh were still strapped to the upward tables and now these metal limbs with giant white gloves were tickling them in multiple places. To make matters worse they both had most of their coats and shoes taken off lying on the floor and the shirts and socks/stockings they wore underneath were too thin to provide much protection from the tickling. Both of them were tearing up as they were forced to laugh. Takumi and Takuto stared blankly at them. "...What is this?"

"What's it look like?" one of the Puppetmon asked. "We're having fun with the tiny humans the boss left us with! Now get lost so we can get back to it!"

"Fat chance!" Takuto replied. "We're here to take Sayo and Koh back!"

"What?! But we're still playing with them!"

"Bah! Grown up humans are no fun!"

"Then let's make them disappear so we can go back to having fun!" The Puppetmon aproached taking out their hammers.

Takumi looked at Sayo and Koh as they continued to laugh as their torture machine was left on to continue tormenting them while the Puppetmon were busy. "Might wanna make this quick."

"Don't you worry." Takuto grinned. "I get the feeling this won't take long." Nova, Storm, Rapidmon Armor, BlackWarGreymon and Dorugoramon stood in front of them. "Let's get em boys!"

Yuugo was on his knees with one hand on the ground and the other at his abdomen. Yuuko was lying down. The pain they felt their Digimon sustain still lingered. Their Digimon were on the ground defeated. Samudramon saw one of his swords lying near him and tried to reach for it only for Creepymon to stomp on his hand making him yelp. When HiAndromon tried to get up BlitzGreymon slammed onto his back. "S-Samudramon!" Yuuko reached towards her partner. She didn't notice Brother Sorrow approaching until he stepped onto her hand.

Yuugo gasped at the sound of the scream. "Yuuko!" He got up and ran towards them, but CresGarurumon held his spear towards his head stopping him.

Brother Sorrow glared at Yuuko as she whimpered. "Heh. You were hailed as a living legend. All the enemies you massed couldn't even lay a finger on you. And now I've done it. What nobody else could."

"What is it that you want from us?!" Samudramon yelled.

"What I want?" Brother Sorrow asked, looking at him. "I want to break this brat. Her body, her spirit, her ego, everything! And I know how to do that. I know her strategies, how she thinks!"

"You... don't... know me..." Yuuko glared.

Brother Sorrow looked back at her. "Tell me something Yuuko... how do you think your fangirl Fei wound up in all this? Who do you think is responsible for her kidnapping? Matadormon? Lilithmon?! Hosaka?!"

Yuuko gasped. "You mean..."

"I'm the one who told Lilithmon and Leviamon about Fei and how they could use her feelings for you to control her! Bringing her here and turning her against you and your friends was my plan!" Yuuko, Yuugo and their Digimon gasped in shock. "Still think I don't know you..." He grabbed Yuuko by the hair. The girl yelped as she was lifted to her knees by it and he looked Yuuko right in the eye. "...Yuugo of Zaxon?"

Yuuko shivered in fright. Her blood felt cold from shock. "Who…are you...?"

Brother Sorrow slowly put a hand over his mask. "You really haven't a clue...I-

"Get off of her!" Just as Brother Sorrow was about to take his mask off, he saw Kazemon fly at him and spin forward with an axe kick he blocked with his arm before dropping Yuuko and jumping away from her. Kazemon dashed at him, but Creepymon grabbed her by her face and lifted the struggling Digimon up.

"Thunder Fist!" Beetlemon came at him from above, but BlitzGreymon snipped him with Thunder Fall.

"Blizzard Blaster!" Kumamon shot snowballs at Creepymon but they just melted on contact and he threw Kazemon into the bear.

"Stay out of this you magots!" Brother Sorrow glared as the Crown of Wrath appeared over his eye.

"Pyro Tornado!" BlitzGreymon blocked a burning cyclone that blew away reveling Agunimon.

"Lobo Kendo!" Lobomon jumped up and swung at CresGarurumon who blocked the attack with his spear.

Agunimon and Lobomon jumped back to their team. "Stay away from our friends freak!" Agunimon ordered.

"Guys no!" Yuugo yelled. "This isn't an opponent you can defeat! Run!"

"Not a chance!" Lobomon said. "We don't leave comrades behind! Besides, you humans are the hope of the Resistance! If you fall all of us fall with you and I refuse to let that happen!"

"You hear that chump?!" Agunimon glared at Brother Sorrow as he and his team got into a fighting position. "You wanna get them, you'll have to go through us first!" His fellow warriors were ready to make a stand.

"Ha! You talk big for small fry!" Creepymon laughed. "Come Brother Sorrow! Let's crush them!"

The masked man growled as he looked down clenching a fist. "Sir..." CresGarurumon looked at him with a sympathetic glance.

"Of all the Digimon in this world..." the man growled. "Why you two...?"

Agunimon and Lobomon looked at him oddly. "Huh?"

"Now then..." Creepymon extended his claws. "Let's-

"Creepymon, stand down!" Brother Sorrow ordered.

Creepymon growled and turned to him. "Are you kidding me?! How many times are you going to let this brat slip through our fingers?!"

Brother Sorrow ignored him and sent him along with CresGarurumon back into his Digivice. "Yuuko... do not think you can hide behind others forever. Someday your luck will run out. And when it does... I will have you begging for mercy and forgiveness you will never receive. BlitzGreymon, we're leaving."

"Very well." BlitzGreymon kneeled to his partner who climbed onto him. The red Digimon took to the skies.

"Yeah, that's right!" Kumamon laughed. "You better run!"

"Kumamon..." Samudramon groaned. "He isn't running. He's letting us go. I have no idea why..." Kazemon ran up to him as Beetlemon pulled HiAndromon's arm over his shoulders helping him walk over.

"Are you guys alright?" Kazemon asked.

"I've had better days…" Yuugo groaned. "But we at least found the Red Digizoit we needed.

"Cool. We got the DigiStarwood." Kumamon said.

"Guys, are you there?!" Ranamon coughed as she and the others stepped into the fiery area. "What happened here?!"

"They were ambushed by Brother Sorrow." Agunimon replied. "Did you guys find anything? He retreated for now, but we better leave before more trouble shows up."

"We found the DigiRainbowdrop and the DigiRuby." Arboromon replied.

"Good. That's everything. Ranamon, Kazemon, do something about this fire before it burns the whole jungle down. Then we need to the Samudramon, HiAndromon and their humans back to the city for medical attention."

"Right!" Ranamon and Kazemon nodded to each other. As the Warrior of Water summoned a rising torrent of water for her to ascend on, Kazemon took to the skies again. Ranamon held up her hands. "Draining Wave!" Clouds formed above her, and rain poured down dousing flames.

"Hurricane Wave!" Kazemon threw whirlwinds into the fires blowing them out.

Once they were clear Mercurymon took out a Home Gate. Agunimon looked back to where he last saw Brother Sorrow. "Just who is that guy… why does he act so strangely every time he sees me…?"

"Agunimon, it's time to go." Loweemon said.

"Uh, right." Agunimon walked to the others as Kazemon and Ranamon landed next to them. Mercurymon activated the Home Gate and they left.

Brother Sorrow's identity will be a secret for a little longer. But he will be unmasked in time. For now next chapter the rescue mission continues.
