Hello everyone I'm so sorry this chapter is late. There have been three deaths in my family. As you know my best friend/ sister of 40 yrs passed away. Her daughter passed away earlier last month. Chapter 21 Recap: Well Ana's back in business. Everything is ready to go. All the buildings have been reinforced and some new ones added. They have a new office building now away from the plant.
Elliot did one helluva job on the picnic areas as Ana calls them. The new offices are outstanding and the security system is top notch. As Christian said nothing but the best.
They are calling back their employees and adding new ones.
Ana and Christian can't wait for opening day. They are planning a huge picnic for everyone this weekend before they open on Monday. There are going to be a lot of fun things for everyone to do.
Let's see what's in store for everyone. They are working on the concert and carnival for Italy also. It's coming up soon.
Chapter 23: Opening Day
"Christian Trevelyan if you don't get your sexy ass out of this bed I am going to go and take a shower by myself. Get dressed, go eat my breakfast that smells wonderful and leave you here to fend for yourself. Just in that order husband of mine."

"We don't have time for anything else Boo. We have to hurry, breakfast is ready and we need to make sure everything is packed in the trucks to take over to the plant for the Open House today."

"The toys for the games, the raffle tickets, the door prizes, the bracelets that all the kids will wear so we can tell their age range for certain games. We have all the food and the cooking trucks setting up. We have the booths already being set up behind the plant. All we are waiting on is your go ahead and we will move the rest over there."
"Let me take a quick look and then you can proceed on over there."
They walk outside and Ana sees that everything is in order as she looks at the items in the containers that are marked for what they are.
"I know there is another truck right that has more gifts for door prizes?"
"Yes ma'am look behind you."
The U Can Rent truck is stopping beside Ana.
"Well hello there Jason you got everything we need in the back of this big thing?"
"Yes ma'am sure do and I am on my way over there to set it up."

"Yes I was thinking along those lines too. I think we will need to rent some tarps for everyone to stand under. I don't want people holding umbrellas. No one can see the concert or take pictures if they have big umbrellas blocking everything."
"We need to make sure everyone knows this as the concert draws closer. Have you decided how we are going to choose the winners that will get a front row seat and meet the singers?"
"Not yet I have been thinking about it. We'll talk about that later. I have some ideas but we need to sit down and look at what I have been going over in my head. I have a list but I'm not sure how I want to approach it."
"Ok angel, we will discuss it later. We are here, let's see what all they have gotten done."
Christian walks around and opens Ana's door and helps her out. They walk over to where the guys are unloading some items out of the big truck that Jason was driving.
Ana turns around when she hears her name called.

"We couldn't stay away a minute longer Ms. Ana we had to come and see how you both were. Besides, we brought our own food truck down with us."

"I think the guys have everything in hand but if you would like to help I am sure Elliot or Dav can find you both something to do. Have y'all got your food truck set up and ready to go?"

They walk and walk and finally see where the big truck and the other trucks are lined up.
"Looks like you have plenty of help here. Anything we can do?"
"Yes ma'am I need you to check out the raffle tickets in those containers. Make sure they are there. They should start at one hundred and end at five hundred on the first set and six hundred and end twelve hundred on the next set and so on. You should have a total of five thousand tickets in all."

They walk over to the truck and he pulls the containers out to the tailgate and opens the containers.
"Alright angel I will start with this one. One hundred you take the next one that starts with six hundred and we will go back and forth until we have them all counted. I am glad they are in packs and not rolls. They are easier to see."
They work side by side until they have all of the tickets counted and they have a total of five thousand. They put them back in the containers and close the lid.
"Dav, Jason they are all there and in numerical order. They need to be taken to the front gate and some of the guys need to give them out to everyone as they come in. Adults and children. Try to give a family a ticket from different packs so they won't be getting the next ticket in the pack and make sure they take the other side and put it in the box."

They tell everyone they will see them later.

"Well we are thinking of building a house down here near the water. We want to bring mine and Christian's yachts down here since we are not going to be living in Seattle anymore. I am going to keep my home there when we go and back and forth after daddy and grandpa gets TEH up and running.
"Ok wow really? What about the condos in Myrtle Beach? Are you keeping them? Have you already looked at some land? Oh listen to me hell I know you both have."
"Yes we are keeping the condos. We gave granmomma and daddy one. Gran and grandpa have theirs and you still have yours. We will be going back to Myrtle Beach off and on during the summer to stay some."
"Yes El we have already picked out some land and the survey crews have finished surveying the land."
"Where is this land and how many acres did y'all buy?"
"You know where we turn off the highway to go home? Well you pass that road and go about five miles, turn left on Baxley Way and all the way to the end is where we are going to build. We bought one hundred and seventy five acres. No one can build beside us; we own all of the land. We will be right on the water where there is a cove kinda blocking us from view. We won't be bringing the yachts here; the water isn't deep enough. We are going to store them at our storage buildings."
"Why didn't you want to buy the land near us?"
"Elliot we won't be that far from you and Paula. We wanted more privacy and this area will give that to us. I have lived on the beach for years and now I want to be more isolated. You also know that since we have announced our marriage and everyone knows how much we are worth privacy is imperative."
"Yes you are right. I wasn't thinking about that because we have been in Italy for so long and it was nice and peaceful there. I guess back here in the states it is going to be different. Are you going to put up a wall around the land?"
"Yes, the front and the sides, not the back. That will take away from the view. We are going to install electric fencing on the back side."
"Ok good idea. How about housing for security? I know you both have to have them."
"Yes we will need homes for them too. That's why we bought plenty of acres so they can spread out away from our home. I love them all but I don't want them under foot."
"I know what you are saying little lady. Ok so I need to bring some crews down here after we do the building and remodeling of the old places in Italy. Do you want your home built right after the benefit concert and carnival there? If so I will need to hire more guys because the ones doing the work in Italy will be doing the work here also. I can't have the guys burnt out, they will need a break."
"No, let's wait until we have the concert and carnival here. I don't want to take away time that will be needed for that."
"Ok sounds good. That will give my guys a break in between the concerts and building your home."
"Ok now one last thing since we don't have a building on my property at the plant. We want you to build an enclosed stage for the performers in case it rains so no one and their instruments won't get wet. We are going to rent traps for the audience to stand under because no one is going to be allowed to bring in umbrellas. If they did, no one could see behind them."
"So you decided to have the concert at the back of the plant? I think that is a good idea. That way you can do what you want there."
"Yes, that is what I was thinking too. I also want you to recommend someone that can put some concrete pads back here away from the plant but not too far close to the water. That will be for all the tour buses that will be bringing the performers here. I don't want them parking on the grass for a week."
"Another good idea. Christian and I were discussing that earlier in the week."
"You were and neither one of you thought to tell me?"
"Well we were waiting until the right time and this seemed to be the perfect time. He said you mentioned it but hadn't said anything to me yet."
"Yeah I did. I think this would be perfect for the food trucks that come here at lunch time to set up to feed my employees. That way they are on level ground and closer to the plant and not out in the front of the parking lot. My employees had to walk a good little ways to get to them for lunch."

"I see they are checking all the rides out with professional engineers."

"Yes they do and there will be signs posted. Beware not to touch the glass."
They walk on.
"I see the water gun game. Oh Ana there is a ring toss remember when we did that at the fair in Atlanta and you told the guy it was rigged? He told you to try again and you did until you got fed up with his mouth and took both the rings you had in your hand and threw them at the same time on the bottles and rang two of them."
"You didn't do that, did you angel?"
"Yes I did and he was so pissed at me cause I won two prizes. Somehow it was rigged that when you throw one the bottle wouldn't catch it. I swear they had it set so they moved. I know I saw them move when I threw the ring. You know it was like a sliding floor or something."
"Yeah a lot of the games at fairs and carnivals are rigged for you not to win. How old were you then?"
"I guess I was probably sixteen or seventeen before I graduated high school. Daddy and I came to Atlanta to see granmomma and they had the fair going on at the Lakewood Fairgrounds. We had so much fun that night, didn't we Paula?"

She waits to see what they are going to say.
"Ok why? What did she do?"
"We were on top of the double ferris wheel and it stopped to start letting people off. They have walked and talked all the way over to where the Nightingly's are sitting.
"Welcome, welcome, have a seat and take a load off you hear."
"Thank you ma'am don't mind if I do. I am Elliot Trevelyan. I am Christian's older brother and this is Paula Donovan, my girlfriend and Ana's best friend. How are you all doing this lovely day?"

This is Richard and Tracey's kids. Denny, Aaron and April. This is Lenny and Corrie's kids. Carey and June. Last but not least are Jerry and Tina's kids. Amber and Avery, yes they are twins."
"So very nice to meet you all."
"You all as well"..they all say.
"This is my brother Elliot Trevelyan and his girlfriend Paula Donovan."
"Nice to meet you all."
"Have you all inspected the rides and games to make sure everything is up to speed?"
"Yes mom we have and the engineers are still on site. Those guys are going through everything with a fine tooth comb just like they do when we set up all the time. Corrie has some of them looking at the games and making sure they are in working order too."
"That is wonderful they always do such a superior job of inspecting everything for us. I believe you brought in some engineers, didn't you Mr. Christian?"
"Yes ma'am I did. I am sorry if you thought I was stepping on any toes but it is better to be safe than sorry later. I always find it is better to have extra professionals do a double check."
"Oh no Mr. Christian we are very glad that you did. It saved us from calling in the second crew to recheck everything. Good minds think alike sir."
"Yes ma'am they do."
"Excuse me Mr. Trevelyan for interrupting but I was just wondering what time we are starting up. Mom and dad said this afternoon but didn't give us an exact time."
"Oh well we were waiting on the food trucks to prepare the food so everyone that wanted something to eat wouldn't have to stand in line and wait. They all should be ready within the next hour or so. And please call us Christian and Ana everyone. This Mr and Mrs. is making me feel old."
"Alright Christian."
They all laugh.
"Well I am still going to call you Ms. Ana and Mr. Christian."
"Alright that is fine ma'am."
"Richard, do you have everyone in their places when they open the gates?"
"Yes mom we sure do. They know what they are supposed to do. I have the same people that run the rides that have always been there. That way they know what to look for if something breaks down."
"Very good and all the booths and food wagons are set up?"
"Yes mom and I have them on the other side of where Ana has her food trucks. I do not want to take away from her."
"Well thank you sir I appreciate that but that's not necessary. There is more than enough food to go round. Y'all more than welcome to come and eat at food trucks. We are having a big BBQue cookout later with grilled chicken quarters, ribs and brisket."
"Oh my lord Ms. Ana you are going to make me fat."
Mrs. Nightingly says laughing.
"Why I doubt that Mrs. Nightingly you are slim and trim. I don't think you could ever eat enough to be considered fat, dear lady."
"You never know my dear, you never know. You won't believe me but at one time I was overweight."
"Really yes that is hard to believe but I believe you."
"Yes I weighted right at one seventy pounds and that's not good for my five foot five height. I had to lose at least thirty pounds by doctor's orders. I did and I feel one hundred percent better."
"Well I must say you look very healthy. I never would have guessed about the weight though would y'all have?"
"No." They all say.
"Well it was very nice meeting you all and we are going to go and see if the rest of our family has made it here. Be sure to stop by the entrance booths and get raffle tickets for everyone in the carnival. Just tell whoever is there how many you need and they will give them to you. Make sure you say for the carnival group."
"Yes Ana we will go and do that now. Thank you for letting us be a part of the raffle."
"Oh you all are quite welcome, they are for everyone and we have some awesome door prizes."
They all say their goodbyes and walk off to find the grans and Ray.
"Well here they come now. Where in the blue blazes have y'all scallywags been?"
"Walking around and visiting with the carnival owners and their family. Checking everything out and making sure it was all in tip top shape."
"Who you calling scallywags granmomma?"
"All of you, that's who. We have been here for an hour and haven't seen hide nor hair of any of you."
"Oh granmomma did you miss us?"
Elliot walks over and hugs the little lady."
"Yes I did you big lug."
"Well sweet lady we are here now."
"I can see that El."
They all laugh at Elliot's antic's. He picks granmomma up and swings her around.
"Put me down before I throw up on you."
"Oh yes ma'am putting you down."
He runs back over to Paula.
"Don't hide behind me Elliot Trevelyan."
"Awe you not going to protect me baby?"
"Nope she can throw up on you, not me."
"Annie, are we about ready to start? They have the meat on that huge ass grill you had me and El make. I mean dang that thing holds all that meat and then some."
"Yes it is about time. I need to go to the front gates and tell the guys to open the booths."
"No you don't love. Here use this."
He hands her a walkie talkie, a very sophisticated walkie talkie.
"Damn I can probably talk to the spaceship that is orbiting the planets up there."
She points to the sky.
"You probably could but use it to call the guys up front."
"Hey this is Ana who am I talking to?"
"Hey Ana this is Sawyer you are talking to. You are frequency A.I have Jason, Dav, Conner and Paul on this frequency. We are all at the front gate entrances. If you switch over to the B frequency you can talk to Sean, Nick, Rick, James, Larry. They are surrounding the back of the land. If you switch over to frequency C you can talk to Roger, Dan, Becca, Oliver and LeAnne. They are all walking the perimeter inside the gates. Each one has their own device to communicate with you and Christian. I believe Christian gave one to Ray also."
"Well thank you for all that helpful information Luke."
"Yes ma'am, just doing my job. Don't bust Christian's balls he didn't know what frequency we were all on."
"Thank you Luke, you saved his smiling ass."
Luke laughed and so did everyone else.
"Alright now Christian turn yours on and check all frequencies with everyone please. You and Ana are on the same frequency so y'all never have to change to talk to each other. If something happens and you need each for an emergency if you aren't together press the red button it will sound an alarm and everyone will get it. They all have a GPS on them thanks to Barney he made that happen."
"Ok thank you and thank Barney for us. Can we put daddy's on our frequency?"
"Yes ma'am I can. I will be right there to show him how to do it. I also have the list of names for each frequency for you all."
"Thank you Luke."
They hear a loud motor coming.
"Well the side by side did come in handy after all."
"Yes love they did. I think we need to get some smaller ones for the guys that will be protecting the perimeters here and on our land. I don't want them walking everywhere."
"No I don't either. We could get four wheelers for here and side by sides for our land."
"Yes we can or vice versa. It doesn't matter as long as they can have something to ride."
Luke and Ray walk over to them.
"Alright Ray is all set you all are on the same frequency and here is the list for each of you with the guys names and frequency beside it. Remember five people on each frequency."
"I told Ray the same thing I told you both and he has his list also."
"Well, are we ready to get this show on the road? I am going to ride through and make sure everyone is at their post and ready to start. I will talk to you all soon on these walkie talkies."
"Alright thank you Luke. Hey did Richard Nightingly come up and procure the raffle tickets for all of the carnival?"
"Yes Ana he did."
"Alright let us know before the gates are open. We need to be up front."
"Yes ma'am I will have one of the guys come and get you and Christian."
"Ok thank you."
Luke rides off to check that everything and everyone is ready to rock and roll.
He rides by and everyone gives him a thumbs up letting him know they are ready to start.
He gets to the gate and stops.
"Hey Jason, will you go and bring Ana and Christian up here? They need to be here before we open the gates."
"Sure, be right back."
He rides off to go and get Ana and Christian and stops at the tents they put up.
"Gail, do you want to ride with me to take Ana and Christian to take to the front gate?"
"Sure why not."
They all climb in the side by side and go to the front gates.
"Wow we have a crowd don't we?"
"Yes angel I would say we do."
"Alright I need a loud speaker please."
Dav gives her one.
"Hello testing one two testing one two. Can you all hear me if you can raise your hands please?"
The guys were watching all the hands being raised.
"Alright Ana as far as I can tell they can all hear you."
"Wave in the back if you can hear me?"
They all wave to her.
"Welcome everyone. This is a day we have been waiting for for months. I am so glad that everyone has decided to come back to work. Again I am so sorry you were all out of work. I hope you all were happy with the compensation you received while out of work."
They all yelled yes.
"Well we are having an Open House today. We have a lot of good things and food trucks. We also have a carnival with games, toys, rides and so much more. I need each one of you to take a raffle ticket before you walk past those booths. They are for prizes we are giving away today. Every person gets a ticket and that includes the kids. I hope each and everyone of you have a wonderful time and enjoy yourself."
They all are yelling and clapping.
"Now with that said Luke open the gates and let everyone in please."
"Christian and Ana I am taking you both back to the tents. We don't need anyone running into our ride and getting injured. Besides I want you both out of all the foot traffic."
"Alright Jason you what is best."
Jason takes them back to the tents and leaves them. Then he rides back toward the front checking on things as he goes.
"Alright team A can you hear me?"
"Yes Jason loud and clear."
"Team B can you hear me?"
"Yes Jason ten-four."
"Team C can you hear me?"
"Affirmative Jason."
"Very good everyone. Let's keep these frequencies open and free of chatter."
They all say ten-four.
As Jason is making his way back to the front gates he passes people walking in. They are laughing and happy and can't wait to see what all is in store for them.
"On my way back Luke."
"Ten-four Jason."
"How's it going up there?"
"Pretty good so far. Might be a good idea to turn around and go back and grab some more raffle tickets. Not sure we have enough up here with all the people coming in."
"You all are checking the employees ID badges aren't you?"
"Yes Jason, every person that is on the list. We are checking them all."
"Just making sure we don't want anything going wrong. There are twenty five hundred employees here and then their spouses and kids."
"We also have the managers from the Atlanta plant here with their families."
"Ok on my way to the tents see you in a few."
He turns around and rides back to the tents.
"Ana we need more raffle tickets. Luke isn't sure we have enough up there. You know the carnival family got theirs and there were a lot of them."
"Yes I know. Come on with me Jason, they are over here in the truck."
Ana gives him the packs of tickets.
"Here you go, these make ten thousand. You will not need all of them but you will have what you need. By the way have you all gotten your tickets? Y'all have a chance to win too, it's not just for the employees."
"Yes we got ours and I need to give Gail hers. I have it in my pocket."
They walk back over to the tents.
"Gail, I have your raffle ticket. Here you go."
"Thank you. I was wondering where it was."
"You are welcome."
"Jason, have one of the guys come back with the side by side and give the grans a ride around the carnival. I don't want them walking too much."
"Alright I will have Dav or Luke come back after we get everyone inside the gate. Will that be alright?"
"Yes, that will be fine. I know you all have to be up front for now."
"Alright see you all later."
"Angel, are we doing the raffle like we planned right before midnight?"
"Yes love we will have it announced at ten o'clock and inform everyone they need to be out front of the new office building."
"Ok that works that way they can take their gift and want to have to walk from the back all the back to the front carrying it."
"Yes that's what I thought too."
"We need to have the guys ride through and tell everyone that the plants are open if they would like to see inside of them. I need security to go with them."
"Sounds good. Come on let's go with the grans when Luke or Dav gets here. We need to socialize some more."
"Ok yes I need to go and see what Clyde and Chester have for us."
"Yes love we do. Here comes Luke now. Oh look Dav is in one too. That's even better. Anyone else want to ride with us for a little while?"
"I do. I need to move around some more."
"Well come on Gail. Paula y'all want to ride? Daddy how about you?"
"Sure we will ride. Ray, are you coming?"
"Naw I'm going to stay here with Theo. Y'all go on we will ride later with y'all."
They all take off in the rides and head up the middle of the walkway so they don't hit anyone walking or playing games.
"Stop here please."
"Elliot what are you doing?"
"Come on Paula you and Ana are going to show us your shooting skills. See the targets?"
"Oh Elliot not now."
"Yes now. Gran and granmomma tell them to do this please."
"Come on girls, show them men what you can do."
"I am game if you are Ana."
"Oh hell why not. That way we might be lucky and El will shut up about our shooting."
Everyone gets out of their rides and Luke calls more security over to stand with them.
They have attracted a crowd.
"Come on Paula let's get this over with."
They both walk up to the targets and look at them. They choose a water gun and when the buzzer starts they pull the triggers to start the water. They fill one target and then onto the next until they have all twenty targets filled with water.
"What the hell was that ladies?"
They look at each other and smile.
They turn and pull the trigger soaking Elliot.
"That was us handing you your ass Mr. Smart Ass."
They high five each other laughing and do their little hip dance.
"Ok, ok you are good. Now I want to see you shoot a real gun for target practice. Will y'all do that for me?"
"Yes Elliot we will but at a shooting range not here. Besides, they don't have real guns. They have toy ones that look like real guns. Tell you what you find a gun here and targets..say ducks, geese or whatever moving or standing still and we will shoot them for you. Is that a deal?"
"Sure I will be back for you two soon. Don't go too far."
"We are going over to Chester and Clyde's food truck. It's blue and gray with a red stripe on it. Says Twins Eatery."
"Ok I will find you."
"Why does he want us to show him we can shoot? I don't get him sometimes."
"Boo he doesn't think we can do what we just did again. He probably thinks it's a hoax."
"Come on, let's go try the Twins food and see what they are serving."
They ride on over to the grounds until they come up on the food truck they are looking for.
"Here we are angel let's go see what the surprise is for us."
"I'm with you on that love."
"Come on everyone, the brothers have a surprise for Ana and I."
The women get out of the side by side with the help of the men and walk over to the tables and sit down and wait for the surprise.
"Chester, Clyde where are y'all at?"
"We are coming Ms. Ana we saw you all riding up."
They come walking out of the back of their food truck and have a huge cooler between them. It looks heavy.
"Y'all or in for a treat. Please open the cooler Mr. Christian."
Christian walks over with Ana and opens the cooler.
"Oh my lord would you all look at that? King Crab Legs for days. Thank you guys."
"Oh my goodness, thank you both so much. I can't wait to dig into them. You two are the best cooks."
"Thank you Ms. Ana and Mr. Christian."
"Ms. Ana I need you to go in the back of the truck and grab some bibs please if you don't mind while we set this up for y'all."
Ana walks to the back of the truck but stops.
"Go on now hurry up little lady you know crab legs ain't good if they sit too long. Now mosey on in there."
She turns around and walks on to the door.
"It's safe Mr. Christian I wouldn't let anything happen to her. I see that look in your eye."
All of a sudden they all hear screaming, crying and laughing.
"Ana love you alright?"
Christian says as he walks to the back of the truck.
"Yes Boo I am. Look who was hiding in here. Can you come here for a minute?"
He walks on to the door and Ana opens it further so he can see inside.
"Look who is here Boo my dear friend Ms. Izzy, her husband and are helping the brothers and surprising me. I am so happy to see her."
"Well hello Ms. Izzy, how are you doing dear lady? Nice to see you ma'am and who is this beside you?"
"I am doing great Mr. Christian. I see you finally put a ring on it and sealed it…she smiles at him..This is my husband Leroy and our children Belinda and her husband Albert Raynor, their daughter and my granddaughter Jasmine and my son Donald."
"Yes I did and we sealed it as you say in Italy. Very nice to meet you all. I know Ana is so happy to see Ms. Izzy it has been a while."
"I am so happy to see her and you sir. When Chester told me you all were having this shindig I had to come and see my girl. I am so proud of her and you for all you both are doing. Yes we have heard all the good things that you all are planning to do here and overseas. It is wonderful and hopefully more will get involved with y'all."
"We are glad you all could come down and yes thank you we are doing everything we can to help as many people as possible."
"Come on y'all and see the family."
They all walk out of the truck and around the front to the tables.
"My goodness no wonder she was screaming. Ms. Izzy it is good to see you dear."
"Oh my granmomma how are you doing?"
"I am doing wonderfully thank you."
"Everyone, this is my family."
Ms. Izzy introduces her family to everyone and they all sit down.
"How long have you all been here?"
"Ms. Ana, we got here this morning. We all came with Chester and Clyde."
Ana hugs her again and smiles at her.
"Ms. Ana, Mr. Christian please sit down and eat."
