On a ridge overlooking a broken road, a woman with short unkempt red hair observes 6 people walking on the road, all in red Roman armor with wolf masks. Unbeknownst to her a man in a suit and cowboy hat approaches from behind and grabs her shoulder*
Man: Aye Ruff I found so- ARGH!!!
Ruff sucker punches the man in the gut, he immediately crumbles to his knees holding his stomach. She becomes surprised. Bernard(the man in the suit) still holding his stomach fell over*
Bernard: My bad Missy shoulda said something ... I did find some Sugarbombs though…
Roman Man 1: did you hear that?
Roman Man 2: yes spread out and find who made it.
"Ruff turns and puts up her fists but Bernard grabs her arm*
Bernard: no we gotta go we can't take em especially with how I am.
Ruff rolls her eyes and helps Bernard up to his feet, as they do Ruff pokes Bernard in his chest*
Bernard: yea yea… I know I owe you….
Later in a shack, a blonde man with glasses fiddles with a chemistry set and writes on a notepad*
Man with glasses: if I add Mutfruit to the Stimpak recipe I can make essentially what is a Super Stimpak with no drawbacks…
Ruff busts through the door of the shack, Isaac(the man with glasses) turns to see Ruff carrying Bernard in the shack, Issac becomes shock*
Isaac: what happened!?
Ruff lays Bernard on Isaac's bed, Bernard takes his hat off and places it in his chest*
Bernard: I made a fatal error doc… I spooked Ruff and she gave me the death punch… I can feel it's my time….
Isaac facepalm and preps a Stimpak*
Isaac: you're not dying
Bernard: If you ever find a lovely woman, marry me to her and tell her I love her… arrrgghh…
Bernard fake dies. Isaac pokes him in the gut with the Stimpak, he shoots up to a sit*
Bernard: yee doggy! I'm back from the dead!! It's a miracle!!!
Isaac and Ruff both facepalm*
Isaac: I'm glad you guys are here actually, I have a problem.
Bernard: What kinda problem?
Isaac: every night for the last 3 nights there's banging on my door for about 30 minutes.
Bernard: why don't you check it then?
Isaac: what if it's raiders or radscorpions! I can't fight those.
Bernard: ya know I taught you how to shoot that laser pistol, shoot em.
Isaac crosses his arms and look away*
Isaac: I still don't like to fight if I don't need to.
Bernard: alright alright I understand Science Boy but I've said it once and I'll say it again one day you'll have to shoot it.
Isaac looks down, Ruff pulls herself next to Isaac*
Ruff nudges Isaac on his shoulder and points to another room of his shack*
Isaac: oh yea, well I guess you could rest there while I go check on Ruff.
Bernard: ain't gotta tell me twice.
Bernard lays back and puts his hat on his face to sleep Isaac and Ruff go to a different part of his shack*
Isaac: Alright Ruff, open wide.
Ruff opens her mouth and sticks her tongue out, Isaac uses a tongue depressor to put her tongue down and a little flashlight to look at the back of her throat*
Isaac: Well your vocal cords are still healing pretty slow, I wonder why. Does your throat still hurt?
Ruff shakes her head, Isaac pulls out a little spray bottle and sprays it in her mouth*
Isaac: try speaking for me Ruff.
Ruff tries to speak but a low whistle is heard, she closes it and looks down, Isaac puts a hand on her shoulder*
Isaac: it'll be alright Ruff it'll take time don't be so down about it.
Ruff looks at Isaac and smiles, Isaac smiles back*
-Later That Night-
On a ridge a few feet away from Isaac's shack, Bernard looked through binoculars at it. Ruff sat besides him throwing a baseball in the air*
Bernard: Can you cool it with the baseball? Don't want to give away our position.
Ruff rolls her eyes and starts rolling back and forth on the ground*
Bernard: don't roll your eyes at me Missy, I worked with the NCR, military tactics ya know.
As Bernard observes the shack, two Super Mutants appear and beginning to knock on the door*
Bernard: We got action. Two Super Mutants. That explains the knocking.
Ruff jumps over the ridge and begins running towards them*
Bernard: Ruff! Got dang it!
Bernard pulls out his revolver and begins running behind her*
At the shack, the two Super Mutants kept knocking*
Super Mutant 1: human not home again.
Super Mutant 2: unfortunate.
Ruff suddenly appears, she jumps and punches Super Mutant 2 in the jaw causing him to fall over, she stand over him and begins punching him*
Super Mutant 1: Brother!
Super Mutant 1 goes to help his brother but a click of Bernard's revolver stops him*
Bernard: hold it right there!
Super Mutant 1 turns and starts to get angry and charges at Bernard. Brother(SM2) grabs Ruff and throws her away from him, he stands*
Brother: Ten don't!
Ten(SM1) swings at Bernard who rolls through between his legs, Ten trips and falls. Ruff jumps on the back of Brother and starts punching him again*
Brother: call off your attack human, hat man.
Bernard: Ruff get off him they don't wanna hurt us!
Isaac walks out at this time hiding behind his door*
Isaac: What's happening!?
Ten grabs Bernard in a bear hug*
Bernard: Call off your attack mutant, other mutant!
Brother: Ten put him down! Now!
Ruff jumps off of Brother and Ten drops Bernard, Isaac comes from behind his door. Bernard and Ruff stand besides Isaac*
Isaac: What's the meaning of this?
Brother: we're sorry to disturb you so late sir but me and my brother, Ten here need help with something.
Ten: Fluff-fluff hurts, we need medicine.
Isaac: Fluff-fluff?
Brother: it's our pet, we don't have the supplies to fix her but we heard about a doctor in these parts.
Isaac: Alright let me get my bag.
-A few minutes later-
Brother and Ten had lead Isaac, Ruff and Bernard to a nearby cave, as they walked in they saw a Nightstalker laying on the ground on a pile of pillows*
Isaac: A Nightstalker!?
Brother: that's Fluff-fluff please help her.
Isaac kneels down and opens his doctor bag and begins examining the Nightstalker, it was breathing heavily*
Bernard: How'd y'all tame a Nightstalker?
Brother: not that hard actually. A lot of treats.
Ten and Ruff were off on another part of the cave, Ten was showing Ruff his collection of toys*
Ten: and this one is a car, Brother says that the people in the pre war drove them everywhere.
Ruff nods. Isaac injects the Nightstalker with a syringe*
Isaac: I'm not exactly an expert on Nightstalkers but it seems this one ingested something poisonous. I'm surprised it's been able to hang on this long. This injection should purge the poison.
After a few minutes Fluff-fluff's breathing turned back to normal and it stands up*
Isaac: That was fas- AAAH!
The Nightstalker had jumped on Isaac and started to lick his face*
Isaac: careful with the teeth!
Ten: Fluff-fluff!
Fluff-fluff runs over to Ten and jumps in his arms and begins licking his face*
Brother: thank you humans I don't have much to repay you but I do have this old Super Sledge.
Isaac: oh payment isn't ness-
Before Isaac could finish Ruff grabs the Super Sledge*
Isaac: never mind I guess….
Bernard: y'all ever heard of Jacobstown?
Brother: Jacobstown? No.
Bernard: You should it's a safe haven for Super Mutants. It's in the snowy mountains northwest.
Brother: We'll think about it.
Isaac, Ruff and Bernard wave goodbye to the Super Mutant Brothers*
-Later that Night-
Isaac sat at a table in his shack he was writing in a journal with a single lamp, Ruff was sleeping on a bed in the corner and Bernard was in another room asleep*

Patient: Ruff(Personal Entry #65)
Ruff's vocal chords still haven't fully healed, I'm worried they'll never heal.
What I'm really surprised about is how the rest of her wounds had healed extremely fast, the several cuts, bruises, lesions, and bone fractures on her body, healed up in less than a month. Maybe this trauma is why she's so durable now.
Outside of implants or a surgery to fix her vocal chords, I can't think of much else.
I guess the only thing I can do is hope.
Issac looks up at Ruff who was peacefully sleeping, he smiles and turns off the lamp*

Isaac: I personally never had any business with them but my dad liked them, he had worked with them a few times before I was born. Maybe one day I will too.
So yea, I've been fully invested in New Vegas these past two weeks and so I made some OCs then i had some inspiration.
