While the confrontation with Overhaul was going on, Morgana had just finished helping Ryuukyuu restrain Katsukame along with Nejire, Ochako, Tsuyu, Mipha, and Nia. Rebecca had opted to go on ahead and help everyone else when she saw they had things covered.
"Make sure he's isolated before he regains consciousness. Otherwise, he'll just start breathing in the vitality of anyone nearby to break loose." Ryuukyuu said.
The police moved to action, only for some of them to wind up stumbling.
"Oh come on!" Nia cursed.
"Katsukame woke up earlier than we anticipated!" Morgana exclaimed. "He must be hopped up on Trigger!"
"Normally Katsukame needs to touch someone first before he can inhale their vitality, But now he can skip the touching part." Nejire noted.
Mipha quickly ran to get the police officers Katsukame stole the vitality from to safety with water arms as he started growing to the point where he was able to break free of his bindings.
"I feel like a new man!" He then turned his attention to Morgana. "Let's see how your vitality tastes, kitty cat!"
Morgana quickly conjured up a wind wall, blocking Katsukame's punch. The brute tried to inhale, but quickly found himself suffocating, forcing him to hold his breath.
"Did you forget I can create a vacuum in a localized area with my Quirk?"
"He's wide open! Crush that rotten bastard!" Nia cried.
Ryuukyuu nodded and quickly triggered her Quirk, giving her enough of a size and strength advantage to stalemate Katsukame. He then felt a sudden impact against his backside and turned to see Nejire, having fired a shockwave using her Quirk.
"Looks like the Trigger already wore off..." Katsukame grumbled before reaching for Nejire "So I'll have to get a little handsy with you, cutie-pie!"
Suddenly, a water shackle wrapped around Katsukame's throat and constricted as he gagged. Mipha then took a step forward and pulled her fist back.
"You won't touch her!" The Zora Princess cried out. "5000 BRICK FIST!"
Mipha delivered a concentrated punch straight to Katsukame's midsection, making him keel over and vomit inside his mask, causing him to gag as the bile blinded him, allowing Morgana to make his move next.
"PANTA RHEI!"
Katsukame was lifted into the air with a giant whirlwind as Ryuukyuu grabbed him before turning to Nejire.
"Nejire! Hit us with everything you've got!"
"You got it!" Nejire Chan called out with a salute before firing a full blast right into Katsukame's back.
Just as Izuku punched Overhaul with his flaming fist, Ryuukyuu group came crashing down with Katsukame in tow, followed by Nejire, Morgana, and Mipha.
"Guys!" Rebecca cried. "Guess that bozo had some fight left in him, huh?"
"Like you wouldn't believe!" Nia said as she jumped down as well.
As the heroes were confronting Overhaul, Motoko's body suddenly fell through a Warp Ring and into Lord X's arms as he looked at her sadly before turning to MX, Hypno, Twice, Saiko, Spinner, and Magne.
"A true shame..." Tomura said as he came in as well via the power of [Sticky Fingers], emerging from a zipper hole in the ground. "But she wanted this from the start and we had no choice."
"At least her soul can live on." August sighed as he used the Soul Link to take Motoko's Quirk from her body after arriving from a portal via the Space Link. "Her Quirk isn't much, but it's still a decent power."
"That's not a good look for him." Magne scowled in disgust as she looked at Overhaul's transformed state from afar.
"The Oyabun was a friend of mine," August noted. "How Kaito brought that presumptuous arrogant brat into his fold is beyond me."
"I still feel like it was a bad idea to bring that kid into this mess." Spinner muttered. "Even if she managed to overcome her fear of the man who caused her so much pain."
"And since Sister Sage and Mumen Rider were watching over her when this was going down, I can see them going on the warpath to find her." Hypno added.
Back with the heroes, Hilda was now carrying Eri safely on her back as she explained things to her.
"Eri, I know this is scary, but your Quirk can help undo Overhaul's transformation. If you focus, I'm sure you can do it." The plump girl said reassuringly to the little one, who nodded nervously.
"Y-You won't disappear, right?"
"Hey, my Quirk will keep me safe!"
Meanwhile, Mirio and Ben were currently keeping Overhaul occupied, the former helping the latter dodge the madman's attacks when needed.
"All these heroes… All this infection! I will purge it all!" Overhaul snarled.
However, Hilda rushed forward, getting close enough so that Eri could touch the villain, infusing him from Shin as he gasped in alarm.
"I'm starting to see why Eri doesn't understand real heroes because neither do you!" Izuku said as he punched the dazed Overhaul in the stomach, making him stumble back. "You don't even understand real villains, for that matter. A real hero never bends to the whims of evil, and a real villain never demands what they want, but takes it by force."
"Say what you will about some of the unsavory guys out there, but they know how to be evil the proper way." Ben added.
Overhaul growled. "Is that so...? Then maybe I should start... WITH YOUR LIFE!"
He launched stone spikes at Izuku and Ben, only for the spikes to disintegrate before they even reached the two courtesy of green lasers as Penny flew in with her jet boots, having used Configuration: Navel Laser.
"Sorry, Overhaul, but this won't end the way you think!"
Overhaul looked to be on the verge of a breakdown before noticing Katsukame's prone body nearby. Without thinking, he touched the unconscious brute and fused with him, becoming a massive monolith that rose to the surface as everyone hurried to get outside.
"This is going to be my last resort. I hate using force to take what's mine, but if that's the only way I can get it done... Then so be it!" Overhaul roared. "The diseased have been given Quirks that let them dream, thinking they can actually become something is an illness of the mind.
"Wow, you really like to monologue, don't you?!" Katsuki snapped. "Why can't you just fuck off and die already?!"
"I need Eri to realize Pops' greatest wish! To bring the Yakuza back to the days of glory!" Overhaul snapped before chuckling as he towered over the Heroes. "It's funny, with the power of the girl you were trying to save, everything you've worked for has been reduced to nothing!"
"I once spoke with the Oyabun, you know..." August's voice was suddenly heard in Overhaul's mind, making him pause. "He did indeed dream of the Yakuza returning to those times...but he admitted it wasn't realistic."
Overhaul's mind continued to flash back, from his childhood when he was an orphan on the streets to being rescued by the Oyabun, who showed him kindness and understanding despite his destructive Quirk.
"Boss...All I want...is to pay you back for your kindness...!"
Overhaul let out a primal roar of fury as everyone got on guard.
"DAMN YOU ALL! THAT GIRL BELONGS TO ME! ONLY I KNOW HOW BEST TO USE HER! I'M THE ONLY ONE THAT CAN MAKE THE MOST OUT OF HER ABILITIES!"
"You say that... And yet you've only ever used her for one thing." Izuku calmly said as he coated his arm in Armament Haki before blowing into it, his muscles bulging out as steam erupted off his body, his hair going wild as he flexed.
"GUM-GUM GEAR 4TH: BOUND MAN!"
"OH YEAH!" Hilda cheered as she released OFA at 100%, with Eri's Quirk helping her shrug off the backlash.
"You... For some reason, your touch feels different from others. As if you were untouched by this disease called Quirks." Overhaul noted as he saw Izuku's transformed state. "But that's nothing of concern. I will have you suffer for all this setback you and your friends have caused. You will beg to be released, but I will not release you until I am done with you. Perhaps I can make you a guinea pig for future testing with Eri."
"LIKE HELL!" Izuku snarled as he compressed his fist. "KONG GUN!"
Izuku aimed the punch straight at Overhaul's regular body, which was fused with the mouth of his monster body. However, he quickly blocked the attack with two of his extra arms, only for them to bend and twist from the impact.
"YAA-HOO!" Hilda cheered, swinging across Overhaul's other arms with [Blackwhip] while Eri clung on tightly.
"YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!" Overhaul roared. "HOW ARE YOU ABLE TO HANDLE THIS MUCH POWER?! WHAT KIND OF DISEASED FREAKS ARE YOU?!"
"We have a little help," Hilda said, looking back at Eri who was clinging to her back. "Turns out all your abuse was limiting what Eri can do. When her mind is stable, when she's able to assess everything around and empathize with it, she's capable of things far greater than you can imagine."
This shocked Overhaul to his core. "N-No! This disease...the disease known as Quirks! Diseases don't react to emotions! They can't be controlled so easily!"
"Again with the Quirks are diseases, bullcrap!" Ben said as he and Mipha combined their Water Elemental powers to strike him with a giant water fist. "For someone who claims Quirks are a disease, you sure seem to be handling yours like it's the most precious thing to you!"
Izuku ricocheted off the air, still in Bound Man Form as Hilda jumped up alongside him. Hilda didn't know why, but she felt a new energy surge through her as she zoomed forward at blistering speeds, punching Overhaul so hard, that he seemed to accelerate, slamming hard into the ground.
"Whoa! What was that?!"
"That was my Quirk, [Gearshift]..." Came the voice of the 2nd User of OFA; Kudo. "Congratulations, kiddo. You have awakened all of our Quirks."
"CHISAKI!" Izuku roared as Overhaul picked himself up, only to see the boy enlarging his fist even further. "Eri has suffered under your care long enough! I won't let it continue any longer! Her Quirk isn't a curse, it's a part of her own gift! That you would abuse it for your own greed and shift the blame on such a young girl is something that I won't stand for!"
"YOU DON'T KNOW ERI'S VALUE! ALL I EVER WANTED WAS TO REPAY THE BOSS' KINDNESS FOR TAKING ME OFF THE STREETS!" Overhaul roared. "MY QUIRK IS THE ULTIMATE DISEASE! I KILLED MY OWN MOTHER WITH IT AND THEN MY FATHER! I WAS TREATED AS A DISEASED FREAK BY EVERYONE AROUND ME UNTIL THE OYABUN FOUND ME!"
"And yet you think that excuses you for betraying him?!" Izuku snapped back. "Torturing his granddaughter whom he had only hoped you could look after and care for?! Bastardize everything the Yakuza stood for?!"
"YOU'RE MISSING THE BIG PICTURE! I'M TEARING THIS WORLD, THIS FALSE FRAMWORK DOWN TO BUILD A TRULY FAIR WORLD! YOU SO-CALLED HEROES ARE ONLY SEEING WHAT'S IN FRONT OF YOU! NEVER LOOKING DEEPER TO FIND THE TRUTH! SUCH NARROW-MINDED JUSTICE THAT SHOULDN'T EXIST ALONG WITH YOUR FOOLISH DREAMS!
Izuku, with all his fury and might, brought down his absolutely gigantic fist down on Overhaul's giant transformed form, knowing it would be enough.
"ALL I'M HEARING IS BULLCRAP FROM A RAT BACKED INTO A CORNER!" Izuku roared. "KING KONG GUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUN!"
The impact sent multiple shockwaves rippling through the villain. Overhaul's vision started to dim as blood splurted out of him before suddenly feeling a tiny hand touch him, ripping his form from Katsukame as they both fell to the ground, Overhaul noticed that it was Eri who had touched him, tears in her eyes as Mipha and Hilda protectively held her.
"Grandpa just wanted you to keep me safe. Why couldn't you just do that? Why couldn't you repay Grandpa for what he did for you?"
Overhaul, his mask destroyed and his body bloodied despite Eri having rewound some of the damage, couldn't help but let out a cry of agony as he collapsed to the ground.
"Boss...I'm so sorry, Boss...I only wanted...to make your dream a reality..."
"I'd say by now the battle has ended in our favor." Atomic Samurai said as he and Zenkichi worked to detain Chronostasis.
"T-That's impossible... Kai... He's the strongest man I know. Ever since his cage fighter days. He always gives everything he has for the honor and glory of the Yakuza."
"Glory, perhaps, but honor? Hardly." Zenkichi scoffed. "This one creep that me and my kids busted when they were first years, Junya Kaneshiro, had more honor as a Yakuza and that bastard was a gluttonous pig with all the manners of a fly on dirty money."
"The League of Villains have escaped the area. I'm not getting any of their signatures." Child Emperor noted as he stood along with Dr. Bofoi, who had exited his Metal Knight mech. "However, they seem to have taken most of the Eight Bullets with them as well as Mimic...though Rappa and Tengai went along with them willingly for some reason."
Suddenly, a Warp Pipe rose from the ground in front of Zenkichi and Chronostasis, MX's giant hand grabbing him by the neck tightly before dragging him into it. The Heroes and Police tried to stop him, but the pipe disappeared as quickly as it had manifested.
"Dammit! Why would the League want the Shie Hassaikai's elite members anyway?!" Metal Bat cursed.
Mirio sighed as he sat down with Tamaki and Nejire, the three friends all exhausted as the Phantom Thieves joined them, Ryuji wiping sweat from his brow.
"Man! That was a workout!"
"It's all over..." Makoto said. "Overhaul is finally finished."
The Third Years looked to see their underclassmen all supporting each other, Hilda hugging Eri close as she and Izuku comforted her. Ben and Penny sat on some rubble, holding hands and smiling at each other while Eijirou slung an arm around Katsuki, telling him about his battle with Rappa.
"We managed to find the Oyabun in a small medical room that had been untouched by all the chaos." Drive Knight said as he and Superalloy Darkshine carried the comatose man safely.
"We lost a few good men in the fighting..." X-Less said, wrapping his cape around a rookie police officer who had witnessed his commanding officer sacrifice himself to save him from a thug's attack. "Even a couple of small-time Heroes gave their lives to protect others."
"Still, you gotta admit the kids did alright out there," Rock Lock said. "Hell, they practically outperformed a lot of us Pros."
"I'm just glad the younger generation were able to make it through." Nighteye sighed. "And Motoko...even though she disowned Eri, she realized her mistake and sacrificed her life to make up for that horrible decision that led to her daughter suffering so terribly."
Meanwhile, the barely conscious Overhaul had been restrained, his entire body strapped to a gurney as he was carted into a police van. A tear ran down his cheek as he saw the Oyabun getting wheeled onto an ambulance.
"If they're escorting the members of the Shie Hassaikai to the nearest prison hospital, then this expressway should be the fastest route." Garie noted as she, the rest of the Autoscorers, Parten, Airi, Dabi, Mr. Compress, Magne, and Spinner were all riding in an armored truck they had managed to steal with Spinner driving it and Airi riding shotgun.
"How's Twice holding up?" Dabi asked.
"Saiko says he's doing fine. He almost split up when one of those UA brats sliced his mask apart but then that girl, Himiko, helped him out." Airi said before looking at the rear-view mirror. "Heads up, the police van escorting Overhaul is heading this way."
"Good..." Tomura smirked, riding on the top of the truck as he made himself visible to the driver of the police van. "We're not letting the goody-two-shoes decide this bastard's punishment. No...that's OUR decision to make."
Spinner quickly drove in front of the police van, boxing it in as Dabi held on while hanging out in the back with Parten, the Autoscorers, Magne, and Mr. Compress.
"Oy, Iguichi, quit with your crazy driving. I'm getting carsick over here." The villainous Todoroki child commented.
"What's wrong with my driving?! I picked it up from video games!" Spinner snapped back.
"Spinner, sweetie, calm down." Airi said as the Gecko Man blushed in embarrassment.
"Sorry, Airi-Chan."
Dabi unleashed a burst of flames toward the police van, only to notice that it was managing to push through his blue fire. Curiously, he stopped his assault to see a giant hand of sand shielding the van, noticing the Sand Hero: Snatch was on-board.
"Before passing away, Lady Shibabawa predicted that the League would make a move on Overhaul in this manner!" Snatch said. "It seems she was right on the money!"
"Ah, she's dead?" Micha said sadly. "I thought she was a nice old lady."
"At least she didn't die an undignified end." Mr. Compress noted. "Like, say, choking on a cough drop."
"Spinner! Slow down!" Tomura ordered.
"Right!"
Spinner hit the brakes as everyone held on, Tomura pouncing on Snatch as the police van ended up catching up to the truck. Using his Quirk, [Sandstorm], Snatch turned his arms into sand claws which he used to grab the new leader of evil, only for him to smirk as a rapier manifested from nowhere and sliced the arms off. Luckily, since they were sand, Snatch was able to regenerate.
"Like my [Silver Chariot]?" Tomura smirked. "Besides, I'm not the target here!"
"Indeed!" Mr. Compress said as he tossed out a marble which suddenly popped, releasing Kagetane Hiruko, who stomped on the hood of the police car that Snatch and Tomura were on, flipping it into the air as Kohina popped out from of her father's top hat with her Quirk, [Hidey-Hole], which let her hide in just about any place, even something that shouldn't logically hide her.
A magnificent performance from two amazing magicians!" Kagetane chuckled as Mr. Compress bowed afterward. Tomura, who had been sent flying into the air, quickly covered himself in an icy armor with the power of [White Album], slamming onto the police van carrying Overhaul and freezing it, making it stop dead in its tracks.
"GRAND THEFT AUTO!" Spinner shouted as he swerved the truck, hitting the brakes and making sure it came to a complete stop as Kagetane held his hand out, using his Quirk, [Repulsion Shield], to stop the truck's momentum and then deactivate it without activating the repelling part.
Snatch, who had also been thrown off, got to his feet before feeling a dark presence behind him as Dabi approached along with Magne and Leiur.
"A flashy performance, wouldn't you say?" Leiur noted, flicking a coin in the air and catching it.
"Heh, Heroes saving lives always takes top priority, huh?" Dabi taunted as flames built up in his hands.
"Easy, Dabi. This guy hasn't made any quarrel with us." Magne said, patting the burnt man on the back.
"But we can at least make sure he doesn't get in our way." Parten grinned before his throat bulged and his mouth split open, spitting up a viscous green acidic slime that pinned Snatch to the ground, preventing him from moving even when he turned into sand.
"Dammit!" The Sand Hero cursed, powerless to do anything.
The officers were also detained by Airi creating a giant cage with her tattoo constructs, holding them in place as Garie coerced them into not making a move by threatening them with floating ice spears on all sides of the cage.
Phara took out a large sword and sliced the back door of the police van open with an elegant swing. Micha and Kagetane pulled Overhaul's gurney out and placed it on the floor as Tomura approached him with a cruel smirk.
"Well, well, well, Chisaki...who's the next leader now?" Tomura asked as he crouched down.
"Did you come to kill me...?" Overhaul weakly asked.
"Nope!" Tomura replied, popping the 'P'. "I came up with something even worse!"
"How the mighty have fallen, huh?" Mr. Compress chuckled as he placed his hand on one of Overhaul's arms...and compressed it into a marble, taking off his mask to show his smug grin. "For my arm and Deidara's life, of course."
"You know something, Chisaki, I hate how high and mighty you are." Tomura said. "You're the exact sort of person I hate most of all; a total hypocrite. You say you despise Quirks, yet you had no trouble using your own Quirk to great effect for all your big plans. That said, I took out for my party, unlike you."
"A man who murdered his own sister who was rightfully angry at how he abused a child for his deluded visions of grandeur." Kagetane scoffed. "Almost as bad as the people who persecuted my little dove."
Kohina giggled as Kagetane lovingly stroked her head like a true father supporting his daughter, Magne also squatting down and ruffling her hair playfully like a big sister.
"You've lost everything. The Pros have confiscated your little Quirk Killer and your men have ditched you since you dragged the good name of the Yakuza through the mud." Parten spat.
"Sorry, I have a bad case of symmetry. Why should he have one arm when he lost the other?" Magne asked with a smirk as she came over and was handed a butcher knife by Spinner before chopping off Overhaul's other arm with a swift swing, causing the disgraced leader to scream in pain.
"Oops! Looks like you have no arms!" Tomura taunted. "And from what I recall, only you can help get your old man out of his coma, correct?"
The League relished in the growing look of despair that mired Overhaul's face. He quickly began struggling in his bindings with a panicked look on his face.
"No, you can't...! F-Fix me!"
Airi said mockingly with no sympathy for the man's pathetic groveling. "Honestly, you should be happy. We cured you just like you planned for the whole world. Don't you want to be cured?" Aiti asked mockingly.
"PLEASE! I NEED MY QUIRK! IT'S THE ONLY WAY I CAN HEAL THE OLD MAN!"
"Why? You're the one who did it to him. You have nobody to blame but yourself." Dabi said uncaringly.
"NO! I HAVEN'T APOLOGIZED TO THE OLD MAN! BRING MY HANDS BACK!"
"There is no need for apologizing, Kai...because you'll get no forgiveness."
Overhaul's eyes widened when he saw Oyabun Kaito wheeled in by Rappa, who had removed his mask and was now smirking at the pitiful state his former boss was in. August also stepped in beside Kaito.
"It was easy to rewind Kaito to a healthy state with the Time Link and it was able to work since he wasn't actually dead." August explained.
"Boss...!" Overhaul gasped out, but the man who had taken him in had nothing but disdain in his eyes.
"To go so far as to render me comatose, just because I told you to hang back a little bit. Really, I never disagreed with your idea per se."
"Then why?" Chisaki asked weakly. "Why wouldn't you let me loose?"
"Because it was unnecessary!" Kaito snapped. "You didn't have to go so far as to create a Quirk-destroying bullet with Eri's very DNA when it would be so much simpler to purchase a small amount of telekill alloy to make a more effective bullet! And far more under the radar as well! After all, metal does not need to run from those that use it for evil purposes."
"I did consider that..." Overhaul admitted pitifully. "But the Heroes would have gotten concerned as to why anybody would buy so much of that stuff."
"Why would they be?" Kagetane rebutted. "Normally telekill alloy, the one substance able to permanently shut down Quirks, is used to create containment methods. Defensive walls, handcuffs and chains, and various other defensive implements."
"You wasted so much time acting the role of a Villain! Not of a true Yakuza! And now you've lost us so much!" Kaito roared furiously at Overhaul, slamming his hands on the armrests of his wheelchair.
"Boss...Please...!" Overhaul begged but Kaito showed no sympathy.
"Motoko had made a foolish mistake disowning Eri but when she saw what you did, she redeemed herself...and all it took was for her to die by your hands for it to happen." The Oyabun then had Rappa turn him around. "You are hereby cut off from the family. Never again will the Shie Hassaikai have to suffer your mad exploits."
Overhaul's eyes widened in absolute horror. Here he was, Quirkless and free of his disease, but his adoptive father, the man who saved him, the one who gave him a purpose...now wanted him out of his life forever. The family that had taken him in had now cast him out.
"BOSS! NO! PLEASE! IT WAS ALL FOR YOU!" The disgraced Ex-Yakuza screamed as he once more began thrashing. "I'M SORRY! IT'S ALL MY FAULT! PLEASE! DON'T LEAVE ME! FATHER! PLEASE!"
The boss said nothing as he took one last look at Chisaki's tear-strained and anguished visage. Exhaling through his nostrils, the old man turned to Tomura.
"Do whatever you want to him."
Overhaul's shattered expression was worth a million words before his head was grabbed by Parten, who grinned at him murderously.
"You hear that, buddy-boy? You're our BITCH now!" August created two portals with the Space Link, one to take Kaito back to the hospital and the other back to the League of Villain's base.
"All your plans for domination, of the Yakuza's rise...What did it cost you, Overhaul?" Tomura taunted. "The love of the one person you cared about? Everything you strove for? You finally got rid of your 'curse' like you always wanted! Now you don't even have a thumb to suck on! So just sit back and watch as the League of Villains takes what was never truly yours to begin with!"
Rappa chuckled as he wheeled Kaito through the portal leading back to the hospital while the League dragged Overhaul to the portal leading into their base, all of them laughing smugly and cruelly as the disgraced ex-Yakuza let out an agonizing wail of despair, a wail that echoed throughout the entire prefecture...
You have no idea how satisfying it was to write Overhaul getting disowned like that. I was actually the guy who originally suggested the idea to mtnetsurfer for the original My Hero SCP story!
To all those who despise Overhaul for all he's done to Eri, don't worry, his suffering has only just begun!
