Chapter 7: The High Ground
Padme, 3-PO, and unaware to them Yoda entered Mustafar's atmosphere and landed on the landing platform by Anakin and Obi-Wan's ship.
When she got there they weren't there but R2-D2 was he went with Obi-Wan and Anakin to Mustafar when Anakin met him at the landing pads on Coruscant…
"R2? Where's Anakin and Obi-Wan?" Padme asked.
R2 beeped like he was in a panic but Padme understood what he was saying.
R2 saw them fighting Sidious in the control room and lost sight of them since the brave astro-droid didn't know where they were which worried Padme more…
"Fear you must not Senator Amidala?" a voice came.
That voice made her turn around and to her surprise it was Master Yoda.
Padme had no idea he was here or even knew he was on her ship with her and 3-PO.
"Master Yoda? What'd you do out here?" Padme asked.
"Help you to Obi-Wan and Anakin I want. It is dangerous for you to go alone because of your condition." Yoda said.
"I can't just sit around, they may need help." Padme said.
"Help them I will. Stay here you must." Yoda said.
Because of the fighting spirit in her Padme wouldn't just sit here while the man she loves is likely in danger but Yoda insisted she stay her pregnancy wouldn't do Obi-Wan or Anakin any good the twins sleeping inside her would be in more danger…
Padme hated it but knew Yoda was right.
"My word you have: Find them I will." Yoda said.
Padme teared up and nodded to him and she and R2 went back to her ship and Master Yoda went off in search of his Jedi students…
But where they were bridge they were on with Palpatine landed hard on the lava river and all three hanged on for dear life…
Anakin and Palpatine kept clashing their lightsabers while hanging on to the bridge while Obi-Wan hold of a wire and swinging as he did in the original timeline and tried to strike while Anakin had the Sith Lord distracted but he couldn't hit him the first two tries but before he could make a third attempt Palpatine kicks Anakin and nearly falls but thankfully Anakin lands on the platform nearby…
Obi-Wan saw him land there and leaped there himself and landed on his feet beside Anakin and they both saw the bridge about to fall down the lava fall with Palpatine on it…
But the Sith Lord wasn't gonna give up that easily as soon as the bridge was low enough Palpatine ran up, jumped and landed on the droid Anakin landed on in the original timeline.
The battle wasn't over yet and the two Jedi ignited their lightsabers again as did Sidious they clashed their lightsabers again but once they separated Palpatine laughed and taunted them mainly to try and deceive Anakin to turn him to the dark side…again.
"Do not be deceived, Anakin! Can't you see what is happening?! Obi-Wan is only turning you against me! I have been your friend since you were a boy! If you let the Jedi succeed in overthrowing the senate then Padme will die as you have predicted! Search your feelings my friend, you know this to be true!" Sidious explained.
Anakin looked at the Sith Lord in anger and confusion. Anakin knew he was still lying from what Qui-Gon's force ghost told him but part of him still feared the dream he had about Padme dying in childbirth…
Ankian had to remind himself that they were just false premonitions and yelled back to the Sith Lord.
"I will never give into your deception…EVER!" Anakin said angrily.
Obi-Wan even yelled to Palpatine.
"The Sith will never rule as long as one Jedi still breathes!" Obi-Wan said angrily.
The Sith Lord looked at them in hate and anger. Anakin would never fall to the dark side meaning Dooku's sacrifice…was all for nothing.
"So be it…Jedi. If you will not be turned into Young Skywalker…you will be DESTROYED!" Sidious said.
Once they were close enough again they clashed lightsabers until they reached the riverbank and before Obi-Wan could jump to the High Ground like he did in the original version Sidious jumped first and now the Sith Lord has the High Ground…
Palpatine laughed as our two heroes looked up feeling the end was near now that their enemy had the High Ground.
"Dare to try your luck you Jedi scum?! You know as well as I do, challenging anyone in the high ground is a server." Sidious said.
Palpatine laughs again and Anakin would have jumped like he did in the original timeline but Obi-Wan stopped him knowing the advantage of the High Ground was capable of…
"No! If we jump we'll be wide open to him." Obi-Wan said.
"So what'd we do?" Anakin asked.
There wasn't much they could do and Palpatine had no patience in waiting for them to make a move so he turned off his lightsaber and raised his hands Obi-Wan and Anakin knew what he was gonna do which is why they raised their lightsabers but didn't need to when the Sith Lord heard a familiar voice behind him.
"Win, you will not Chancellor Palpatine." a voice came.
He turned around and to his and Anakin and Obi-Wan's surprise…it was Master Yoda with his lightsaber ignited he had found them.
"Or should I call you Darth Sidious?" Yoda asked.
