Chapter 31: Journey to Hogwarts

To celebrate our victory Evelyne and I went to a movie. This was the first movie I saw at the theaters since I arrived in the wizarding world. The movie we saw was the new Black Widow movie. The movie was pretty good, I thought. The theater wasn't busy since the movie only came out a month ago. After the movie, we went to get dinner at a Chinese restaurant. I ordered my favorite which was Shrimp Fried Rice and White Rice.

"Thanks for taking me out, Evelyne," I said after we finished our meal and paid for our food.

"You're welcome. You're my girlfriend. We celebrate our victories together." Evelyne said. With Evelyne's help, I got out of the trial. If it weren't for her then I would have been expelled from school or worse, in Azkaban. When we got home my family ran up to me.

"So? What happened?" Rio asked me.

"Well... I didn't get expelled." I said.

"I knew it!" Kovu shouted, punching a fist in the air. "She and Harry always get away with stuff since they're famous."

"Congrats, babe. I knew you could do it!" Margo said, slapping me on the back. I chuckled.

"Thanks," I said.

"They were bound to clear you." Aunt Sarafina said. "There was no case against you and Harry. None at all."

"That's right. It was completely unfair to both of them. They only did it in self-defense." Hermione said.

"Everyone seems quite relieved considering Lana and I got off," Harry said. Molly and Rio got on their baking aprons and went to the kitchen to make dinner while Kovu, Pavitr, Miles, and my Uncles as well as my Aunt Ginny were doing some kind of a chant.

"They got off, they got off, they got off."

"That's enough! All of you sit down." Arthur snapped.

"We have some more serious matters to discuss. Listen, Lucius Malfoy was at the hearing today." Miguel said.

"What?" Jefferson said sharply.

"They got off, they got off, they got off."

"Yes. We saw him talking to Fudge on level nine. Dumbledore ought to know." Mufasa said.

"Yes, absolutely. We will tell him not to worry." Jefferson said.

"They got off, they got off, they got off!"

"Miles!" Both Jefferson and Miguel yelled.

"Kovu! Fred, George, Ginny!" Zira yelled. Everyone shuts up after they got yelled at.

"Thank you," Molly said. Zira winked at her. "Lana dear, do you want something to eat? You and Harry hardly ate breakfast." Molly said.

"No thanks, Grandma. Evelyne got me dinner." I said. I covered my mouth because I was grounded and was not supposed to go anywhere or do anything fun for the next month. Grandma Rio noticed my concern, but she sighed.

"Lana. I'll give you a one-time pass since it was a victory you were celebrating." Rio said. I sighed with relief.

"It's time for your bath now, Lana," Scar said. I let Scar carry me to my room. He set me down on the floor while I took my clothes off. I laid in his arms, letting him lick me clean. After Scar finished with me, I put on my pajama shirt and laid down on the bed. Scar followed me, lying in bed next to me as well. Today was a long day. Now I can finally relax.

"Did you finish packing for school tomorrow?" Scar asked me.

"I didn't because I thought I was going to get expelled. I will do my packing tomorrow morning. I just want to relax tonight." I said. Scar kissed the top of my forehead.

"Okay, baby. I'll help you tomorrow." Scar said.

"Goodnight," I said.

"Goodnight," Scar said.

The sounds of the trains and chatter filled my ears as we made our walk-through King's Cross Station. It is time to go back to school today. I am pushing my luggage through the crowd with my heart pounding nervously. I looked to my side to notice a big black dog with bushy fur walking beside us.

"Padfoot, are you barking mad? You'll blow the entire operation." Professor Moody shouted. Padfoot walked away towards a secluded place in the train station. I saw the dog turning into a person. I recognized that person to be Sirius, my Godfather. Harry and I followed. Harry quickly shuts the door behind him.

"Sirus what are you doing here? If somebody sees you-" Harry started.

"I had to see you two off, didn't I?" Sirus said. Harry and I took a seat next to Sirius. "What's life without a little risk?"

"I don't want to see you shut back in Azkaban," Harry said.

"Mean either. Please, be more careful." I said.

"Oh, don't worry about me. Anyway..." Sirus dug into his pocket and took out an old photo. "I wanted you and Lana to have this," Sirius said. Harry took the photo from Sirius. Harry opened up the photo. I looked at it and saw a bunch of people in the photo.

"Original Order of the Phoenix. Marlene Mckinnon. She was killed two weeks after this was taken. Voldemort wiped out her entire family." Sirius said. My eyes were saddened. "That's Frank and Alice Longbottom."

"Neville's parents," Harry said.

"They suffered a fate worse than death if you ask me. It's been 14 years... and still a day doesn't go by I don't miss your dad." Sirius said.

"Do you really think there's going to be a war, Sirius?" I asked.

"It feels like it did before," Sirius said. Harry gives the photo back to Sirius but Sirius puts the photo back in his hands.

"You and Lana keep it. Anyways, I suppose you're the young ones now." Sirius said. As we said our goodbyes to him my wife, Margo walked in the room.

"Lana. It's time to go now. The train is leaving soon." Margo said.

"Okay," I said. After we said goodbye to Sirius, we made our way to Platform 9 and 3 quarters. When we got to the station, parents were saying goodbye to their kids as we were walking by. When we got on the train, I took my seat in the cabin with Harry, Ron, and Hermione. The train ride was long and boring. I couldn't do anything on my phone or other technology because my grandparents took those away.

I desperately needed something to do to keep my sanity. Hermione was reading her books as usual while Harry was shifting uncomfortably in his seat. I needed some attention so I spoke up. "Mom? Can you give me your phone? Please?" I begged. Hermione looked up from her book.

"Aren't you grounded?" Ron said.

"Yeah, but I need something to do," I said.

"I can't, Lana. You're grandparents told me and the rest of us not to give you any technology." Hermione said.

"Please!" I begged.

"No," Hermione said firmly. "Why don't you read one of your books?"

"Reading is boring," I said.

"Guys, can we please not do this right now? I have a headache." Harry said. I sighed. I didn't want to bother Harry anymore, so I went to a different cabin where my grandparents were staying as well as my other parents.

"Grandma!" I shouted, startling Rio. Rio looked up from her phone, startled.

"What is it, Lana?" Rio said.

"Please can I have my phone back? Just for this train ride. I promise I'll give it back when we get to school." I said.

"No Lana. You know the rules. You can have your phone back after the month is over." Rio said.

"This is not fair!" I whined.

"Keep it up and it's gonna be two months," Jefferson said firmly.

"Lana. Just drop it." Miles said. I sighed again. My family is being so unfair to me right now. I wanted to yell and scream but that would make things worse and I would get more time added on my grounding. My grandparents are good at following through with their punishments and I didn't want to mess with them. I took a seat next to Gwen and Uru.

"You should go play with you're friends. That would cure your boredom." Uru said. I thought about it for a minute. My friends haven't been told by my grandparents to not give me any technology. I could use this to my advantage. My friends, Hobie and Pavitr could sneak me some of their screens.

"Okay. I'm gonna hang out with them." I said after a long moment of silence.

"Alright. Just make sure you're ready when the train arrives." Uru said. I nodded, then went over to Hobie and Pavitr's cabin.

"Hey, Lana," Pavitr said when I entered the cabin.

"Hi," I said.

"What's up," Hobie said.

"Uh... I'm bored and I'm grounded. Can you guys help me?" I asked.

"Don't worry. We got you." Hobie said. I smiled. My friends had my back. They always have my back. They let me play games on their phones and watch movies. We hung out and had a good time. As I was in the middle of my Animal Jam game, the cabin door opened, revealing my husband, Miguel. I gasped, quickly shutting my laptop. He knows about my grounding. I am so dead.

"What do you think you're doing?" Miguel questioned me.

"Nothing," I said, nervously.

"Hm. Anyways, we're almost at the school so you need to be ready in 15 minutes." Miguel said.

"Okay," I said. Miguel said. Miguel left my cabin and I went to go get ready. We finally arrived at the train station. When we got off the train we were making our way to the castle. Of course, Draco Malfoy had to come harass us.

"I'm surprised the Ministery is still letting you walk around free, Potter. You and Lana better enjoy it while you can. I expect they're a cell in Azkaban with your names on it." Draco said. Harry and I lunged at Draco but Ron and Hermione, Miguel and Mufasa held us back.

"Don't make things worse," Mufasa said.

"We don't want to risk having another trial," Miguel said.

"What did I tell you? Completely nutter." Ron said.

"Just stay away from me and Lana!" Harry yelled. My heart pounded with adrenaline. God, I hate Draco.

"It's only Malfoy. What do you expect?" Nala said.

"Come on sweetie," Harry said, grabbing my hand. We walked over the trail into the forest. It was dark and creepy. Nevill appeared behind us, carrying a plant in his arms.

"Hi, guys," Nevill said.

"Hi, Nevill." We all said. I got confused when Harry turned around suddenly. I turned around to see what he found. I gasped. A creature with dark skin and wings appeared in front of us.

"Lana? What is it?" Nala said.

"I see something," I said.

"What?" Simba said.

"What is it?" Hermione said.

"That, pulling the carriage," Harry said, pointing at the creature.

"Nothing's pulling the carriage, Harry and Lana. It's pulling itself like always." Hermione said. Harry and I walked over to the creature to get a good look. The creature sniffed us as we walked by.

"You're not going mad. I can see them, too." A small voice said. I looked up to see a girl who was reading a newspaper. She had blond curly hair, blue eyes and blue clothing. "You guys are just as sane as I am." The girl assured us. I couldn't help but blush. Not gonna lie, she looked kind of cute.

"Lana. You're blushing." Nala said.

"I am!?" I shouted.

"Yes..." Nala said. I slapped my cheeks to try to stop myself from blushing. Shame on me. I am married. I shouldn't be looking at other girls like that. I followed my parents into the cart. I took my seat next to Ron and Hermione. Hermione introduced us to the girl.

"Everyone this is Loony Love... Luna Lovegood." Hermione said. I could tell from Hermione's tone that she sounded a little nervous. "What an interesting necklace." Hermione said, looking at the necklace around Luna's neck. Luna picked up the stone.

"It's a charm, actually. Keeps away the Nargels." Luna explained. it was silent for a while till Luna spoke up again. "Hungry. I hope there's pudding."

I felt a jerk with the cart and we were off to school. "What's a Nargel?" Ron asked.

"No idea," Hermione said.

"Come on Mom, you know this stuff," I said.

"I really don't know this time..." Hermione said. That's a first. Hermione does not know anything. When we got to the Great Hall, we had our usual sorting hat ceremony. Except this time I was watching instead of participating. When everyone was sorted, we had our feast. The feast was the same delicious food we had last year. I engulfed down everything. Oh, how I missed the food at Hogwarts. As I was about to grab another piece of cake, Uru stopped me.

"Sweetie, I think you had enough sweets for tonight," Uru said.

"Please Mom, just one more piece?" I begged, giving her the puppy eyes.

"Fine. But this is you're last one. I don't want you getting sick for your first day of school tomorrow." Uru said. After I finished my cake, Professor Dumbledore walked on the stage to make his usual speech.

"Good evening, students." Everyone stayed quiet when they heard Professor Dumbledore's voice. "Now, we have two changes in staffing this year. We're pleased to welcome back Professor Grubbly-Plank, who will be taking care of Magical Creatures while Professor Hagrid is on temporary leave. We also wish to welcome our new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, Professor Delores Umbridge (A/N: God I hate Umbridge lol)

And I'm sure you'll all join me in wishing the professor good luck. As usual, our caretaker, Mr. Filch, has asked me to remind you..." Professor Dumbledore was interrupted when we heard a high-pitched voice. Professor Umbridge walked up to the stage. I recognized her. She was at mine and Harry's hearing.

"She was at my hearing," Harry whispered to Hermione. "She works for Fudge."

"Thank you, Headmaster, for those kind words of welcome. And how lovely to see all your bright, happy faces smiling up at me. I'm sure we're all going to be very good friends." Professor Umbridge said. I mimicked her while doing hand motions with my hand.

"That's likely." My Uncle's and I said. Ahadi nudged me with his paw.

"Ow!" I whined.

"Behave, Lana," Ahadi said. Professor Umbridge gave us all looks.

Professor Umbridge continued her speech. "The Ministry of Magic has always considered the education of young witches and wizards to be of vital importance. Although each headmaster has brought something new to this historic school... progress for the sake of progress must be discouraged. Let us preserve what must be preserved, perfect what can be perfect, and prune practices that ought to be prohibited." She gave out a chuckle which sent shivers down my spine.

My spider senses went off. I looked at my parents. It looked like their senses went off too. "I don't have a good feeling about her," Gwen said.

"Mean either," Miles said. I nodded in agreement. Everyone clapped as she walked back to her seat.

"Thank you, Professor Umbridge. That really was most illuminating." Professor Dumbledore said.

"Illuminating?" Ron said.

"Now as I was saying..." Professor Dumbledore said.

"What a load of shit," Kiara said. "What does it mean?"

"...magic is forbidden in the corridors. It means the Ministry is interfering at Hogwarts." As Professor Dumbledore finished his speech, it was time for bed. We made our way to the Gryffindor common room. We heard students chatter as we entered the room. They must be talking about me and Harry. This can't be good. Everyone stayed silent as we walked past them. I gripped Harry's hand tightly.

"Dean, Seamus," Harry said.

"Good holiday?" I said, nervously.

"All right. Better than Seamus's, anyway." Dean said. Seamus stood up from his chair and walked up to us.

"Me mum didn't want me to come back this year," Seamus said.

"Why not?" Harry asked.

"Let me see- uh, because of you and your daughter," Seamus said. "The Daily Prophit's been saying a lot of things about you, Harry and Lana. And about Dumbledore as well."

"What, and your mum believes them?" Harry said.

"Well, nobody was there the night Cedric died," Seamus said.

"Oh, well, I guess you should read the Prophet then, like your stupid mother. I'll tell you everything you need to know." Harry snapped.

"Don't you dare talk about my mother like that," Seamus shouted.

"I'll have a go at anyone that calls me and my daughter a liar!" Harry shouted back. Just then, Ron, Jessica, Aunt Sarafina and Sarabi walked into the room.

"Dad!" I shouted when I saw Ron.

"What's going on?" Ron demanded.

"They're mad is what's going on. Do you believe the rubbish they're coming out with about you-know-who?" Seamus said.

"Yeah, I do. Does anyone else got a problem with Harry or my daughter?" Ron said angrily.

"And for you're information, I was fucking raped by Voldemort, you asshole!" I shouted.

"Yeah, right," Seamus said.

"I'd be happy to provide you with the evidence," Jessica said angrily.

"If anyone else has a problem with Lana, you answer to me," Sarabi growled.

"Come on. let's get out of here." Aunt Sarafina said. Aunt Sarafina, and Sarabi escorted me out of the room and to my bedroom. When I was settled down, I laid down in my bed. I had a few tears in my eyes. Aunt Sarafina put her paw on my leg.

"Hey. Don't listen to them. They don't know what they're talking about." Aunt Sarafina said.

"I just don't know what to do," I said.

"Don't worry about it right now. You know what you know. Those kids can choose to be assholes if they want." Sarabi said. I could hear some of my family members arguing downstairs. I hid under my blankets. Sarabi kissed me on the forehead to comfort me.

"Everything's gonna be okay, honey. They'll believe you soon enough. You'll see." Sarabi said.

"Goodnight Lana." Aunt Sarafina said as they left my room.

"Goodnight," I said. I was alone when they closed the door to my room. As I closed my eyes, I prayed that tomorrow would be better. Little did I know, it was going to be a lot worse.

*Harry's POV:

I was angry when Ron and I arrived at the Boy's dormitory. Nobody believed us, no matter how hard I tried to convince them.

"You all right?" Ron asked me as I was angrily taking off my school clothes.

"Fine," I said, quietly.

"Seamus was bang out of order, mate. But he'll come through, you'll see." Ron tried to assure me but I wasn't having any of it.

"I said I'm fine, Ron!" I yelled.

"Right. I'll just leave you to your thoughts, then." Ron said. I sighed when he left the room and sat down on my bed. That night, I had a horrible nightmare. I was seen walking through the halls of the Ministry. Voldemort appeared in my dreams, too. I woke up with a sudden jolt. Ron looked at me with concern. I didn't want to tell him what had happened.

So, I laid back down in my bed, hoping to forget everything.
