Sorry for the wait guys, I wanted to make sure this fight was good, I hope I don't disappoint. Now without further ado, let's get started.

True Ascension

On a planet far from earth, two warriors are about to engage in battle.

One is a saiyan survivor from planet Vegeta, an anomaly that appears every 1000 years. Broly the legendary Super Saiyan, after years of containment from his father, after nearing defeat by the hands of Tarble his full power was restored. And thus his power seemed to be endless, however now he may have met his match. The LSSJ took an instinctive step back at his opponent's new transformation. "What is this, where is he getting all this energy?" He asked aloud.

Across from him is a half- saiyan and half-human. Trunks, the son of Vegeta felt different, not only was he filled with new power but also his mind was clear. No hate towards the androids, no anger towards them, instead it was only directed towards his true enemies such as Dr Gero and Broly. Trunks looked to Broly who seemed to be having trouble reacting to his new form. His mind felt free, no longer angry at his new friends but at people who believe they can do as they please, such as Android 13, Dr Gero, Paragas, and Broly. The transcended saiyan then started walking towards Broly, as if there was no need to rush this battle. The half-saiyan stopped when he was within one foot away from the legendary super saiyan who is still cringing at his new form. Trunks smirked at the look of his opponent. "What's wrong, you look like you've seen a ghost."

Broly suddenly broke out of his stupor and glared angrily at the shorter half blood. "Grr, you dare to mock me?!"

Trunks smirked and chuckled. "Come on, hit me, let's see how hard your punches feel this time." He stated pointing to his chin.

Broly growled at his opponent but smirked. "As you wish." The LSSJ then threw a hard right hook at Trunks's face forcing his head to turn. The giant chuckled but stopped as he sees Trunks turning around to face him with a smirk and a thin trail of blood down his face.

"Hehe" Trunks chuckled as he wiped the blood on his gloved hand. "Still hurts but not as much." He noted and looked at Broly's stupified face. "Now my turn." He stated throwing his own right hook at Broly's face.

"Gah!" Broly grunted as he took the punch, it made him stagger backward, it took everything he had not to let himself trip backwards. The LSSJ stopped himself and turned his head with blood coming down his lip too and glared at Trunks who was smirking. "Grr, hahahaha!" Broly laughed making Trunks give a blank stare. "HAHAHAHA At last, now I don't need to hold back!" He yelled with maddening joy

Trunks said nothing, he was already well aware that Broly had been pulling his punches, after all with the energy he's emitting he should have killed Trunks three times over at the least, a smile showed itself on his face. "Don't celebrate too much, this will cost you." He stated making his opponent stop laughing to look at him. "Your life."

Broly growled. "Enough, I will kill you here and now!" He yelled as he flared his aura shaking the planet.

Trunks took his fighting stance with a smile, for some reason he was looking forward to fight Broly now. "Let's go Broly."

The two hadn't moved for a few seconds before they vanished and appeared in the air with their fist crashing against each other creating a giant shockwave that caused a slight tremor. Both warriors then locked elbows, and began their clash of punches and kicks.

Both fighters ended their current clash with a punch crashing against each other's cheek forcing their heads to turn. The two pulled away from one another and resumed throwing punches and kicks at the other, their speed so fast that to a normal person it looked like they grew six new arms and legs and attacking each other with them all at once.

Broly throws a massive punch into Trunks's face, he then did multiple punches to the half-saiyan's gut. The larger saiyan then prepares an energy blast however Trunks recovers and punches the blast out of Broly's hand sending upward to space.

Trunks sees an opening and throws an uppercut up Broly's jaw then throws rapid punches to the larger Saiyan's gut. The half-saiyan then thrust his hand into Broly's stomach and fires a yellow energy blast at close range sending Broly backward.

Broly cringes as he catches his momentum and charges back into the clash. The larger saiyan then punches Trunks in the face and kicks him upside the head sending Trunks cartwheeling as Broly charges at him with right his fist reeled back.

Trunks caught himself in midair and blocks an incoming punch from Broly with his right arm. The half saiyan then sway's a punch, throws a fast elbow to Broly's face, punches him straight in the gut forcing Broly to double over, the SSJ 2 then throws a swift uppercut up Broly's jaw sending the older saiyan upward. Trunks vanishes and appears high above where Broly was headed, Trunks brought his balled fists up as his opponent was heading towards him.

Broly growled as he caught himself again before getting close to Trunks, the larger saiyan then turns around with a green energy blast in hand and fires it at his opponent.

Trunks was ready to smash his balled fists downward, however he stopped himself and instead kneed the energy attack forcing the blast upward into space. The half-saiyan's eyes widened at what he was about to do and got back to glaring at Broly. 'I'm getting carried away, that blast could've destroyed the planet.' Trunks thought realizing that he should be more careful, Broly was insane so it's likely that he doesn't care too much of the planet's safety, whether he survives or not.

Broly grinned at his opponent and began laughing. "Hahahahaha, yes now this is what a real battle between saiyans should be like!" The LSSJ said with a crazy grin. "This is the first time I felt my blood boiling this much!"

Trunks stared at Broly with his glare but grinned as well. "So's mine." He stated honestly. Trunks found it strange that he was actually enjoying this fight, this new form seems to be taking an effect on his mind. Of course he was fighting Broly for his friend's sake but this battle was different, when he turned SSJ he felt rage enter his mind towards the androids. Now he felt rage towards Broly but he also felt excitement, he wanted to fight Broly for the sake of a thrill. This new transformation must be heightening his saiyan instincts. 'Is this how it was for Goku and my father?' Trunks thought in his head, if so no wonder they enjoyed fighting so much if they got this much excitement from fighting strong opponents. "Now how about we continue?"

Broly chuckled. "At the very least you will die like a true saiyan!" Broly stated as he charges at Trunks full speed.

Trunks did the same and the two fighters entered another clash, their attacks shaking the landscape they were fighting on.

Back with the androids, as their ship flew to earth two of them could sense the battle raging on. 18's eyes widened as she felt Trunks's power had now risen to new heights, she was still new to sensing energy so she couldn't tell if it was stronger than Broly's but knew that now he had a chance against the monster. The cyborg turned her head to 16 who was sitting looking out the window at the stars. "16 you can feel that too?"

16 said nothing as he turned to 18. "Yes, Trunks has somehow reached a new level of power and is now fighting at evenly with Broly."

17 who had his arms crossed and was standing against the wall smirked that the half-saiyan managed to get stronger. "Can either of you tell who's stronger?"

18 tried her best to compare Trunks's power to Broly's, however being new to the technique she couldn't quite tell the difference save for how Broly's power waved nothing but rage and killing intent. "16"

The android only looked out the window, towards the direction his sensors detected Trunks and Broly. "The two of them are now equal."

The male cyborg chuckled. "This Broly maybe strong but we've seen how he fights, he's like an animal, Trunks on the other hand actually has some skill." He stated confidently. "There's no way Broly can win."

"I would not be so sure." 16 stated as he got the twin's attention. "Broly's power seems to never run out, I noticed during the battle Trunks and Broly were engaged in while you two were charging your attack that Broly's power never waned."

17 connected the dots and cringed. "Wait, are you saying he never runs out of energy like us?"

16 turned to the male cyborg. "From what I've seen yes, however if Trunks does not realize Broly's stamina than I am afraid that the outcome will have Broly winning."

18 cringed at the thought and clenched her teeth. "If that happens than we deal with Broly ourselves."

17 nodded and looked to 16. "Any idea who's winning now?"

The fully mechanical warrior looked back out the window. "As of now neither fighter has yet to gain an advantage, Trunks's new power is still as strong as Broly's." He stated as he kept his gaze out the window. The twins were silent hoping 16 can fill in the blanks for the fight between the two super saiyans.

Trunks and Broly were still clashing their fists and kicks against one another. The son of Vegeta swayed a punch from Broly and kicked the brute in his neck area. This caused the giant to cringe. The time traveler then flew backward and fired multiple energy blasts at his opponent forcing him to stagger and block with his arms. A huge layer of dust around him as the half saiyan kept firing.

The smoke disappeared as Broly charged at Trunks covered in a light green energy shield. Trunks ascended above Broly as he flew from under him, the half saiyan then thrusted his hand out firing a yellow energy beam at Broly only to blast against the barrier. The brute smiled wildly and threw an eraser canon at Trunks.

Trunks then kicked the energy blast upward to the sky and then looked down at Broly who still had his barrier protecting him. The warrior smirked. "Heh, what's wrong, found out that you can't take my attacks?"

Broly growled as he let go of his barrier and charged at Trunks. The brute threw a heavy punch which literally hit threw Trunks as he vanished.

'Hook line and sinker.' Trunks appeared behind Broly and kicked forward with both feet sending him flying forward, then he had his hand upward charging up a golden energy ball. "Finish buster!" He yelled firing throwing the ball at his exposed back. The blast hit dead on making the larger saiyan go down faster as he rolled against the ground until he crashed against a mountain. This battle seemed to be in Trunks's favor so far however, he can tell that something was very wrong. 'Why hasn't he lost any energy yet?' The half saiyan thought as it occurred to him that this battle hasn't made Broly lose a fraction of his power.

A green explosion appeared from the mountain, forming a new canyon as Broly floated out of it with an angry look on his face. "You think you have the power to defeat me?!" He yelled as his aura created a green shade all over the planet.

Trunks smirked and responded. "I know I do." He stated angering the giant fighter.

Broly growled but then chuckled at the warrior's words. "Before I kill you, who are you?"

Trunks frowned and then charged his golden aura. "My name is Trunks, I am the son of Bulma, the smartest woman on earth, and Vegeta the prince of all saiyans!" The half-saiyan charged his golden aura, the lighting surrounding him multiplied as he did so. "I'm the defender of earth, and with this power I will put an end to whatever nightmares that threaten my home." He then smirked. "And I'll start with you."

Broly chuckled. "So your the last of the Vegeta family." He charged his green aura. "Good, I will be the only saiyan after this!" He yelled as he charged his power.

"As if" The time traveler stated confidently. "I'm ending this nightmare." He stated as he charged at Broly.

The giant did the same and the two met with their fists crashing against each other's faces. The warriors began yet another clash, neither one holding back intending this to be their final clash. Trunks never admitted to Broly but the two warriors were actually even, their strength, speed, and agility were on par with one another. Other factors took effect, Broly had a superior reach with his longer limbs, Trunks was half of Broly's size and had an easier time avoiding his hits than he. Broly's energy kept rising indefinitely giving him a virtually unlimited amount of stamina, and Trunks was able to predict his opponents moves rather easily having a more refined less predictable fighting style.

Trunks took a hard punch to the jaw and was then punched in the gut. Broly then smashed his elbow against Trunks's back sending him downward. The half-saiyan quickly put his hands and knees downward creating a huge crater as they made contact with the ground. The time traveler looked up to see Broly charging downward with a fist cocked back, nimbly Trunks jumped out of the way allowing Broly to crash his fist in the ground increasing the depth of the crater.

Broly looked at Trunks as he slammed both feet against the wall of the crater and he kicked charging at the larger saiyan. The goliath then raised his arms into an X blocking a punch pushing him back slightly. The LSSJ then attempted a kick only to hit an afterimage, he was then met with a kick to the neck sending the larger warrior flying and crashed against a wall of the crater. Broly gritted his teeth and roared as he flew out of the crater with his shoulder outward.

Trunks jumped out of the way only to have his leg ensnared by one of the legendary super saiyan's hands. 'Damn!' He thought as Broly flew out of the crater dragging Trunks's leg. The half saiyan struggled to get out of his opponent's grip only to be thrown against a mountain. Trunks growled as he opened one eye in pain to see Broly charging his eraser canon, the half saiyan quickly flew out of the mountain as the blast exploded destroying it completely. Trunks just stared at his opponent who was laughing like a mad man, had Trunks been in his usual state of mind he'd be terrified, however he only smirked as he was actually enjoying this battle as well. He then shook his head at such thoughts. 'No, I'm letting this power control me, I need to focus.' He thought as he stared at his opponent. 'This legendary super saiyan form, makes his energy rise, making him stronger with time.' He thought, then he remembered that when he blasted all over the planet. 'Did he mean to do that while his energy was rising?' He thought, then he sees Broly charging at him again ripping him away from his thoughts.

Broly threw a fast punch that Trunks tried to sway only for it to lightly graze his cheek, Trunks retaliated with a kick to Broly's stomach making him keel over, the warrior then front flipped and smashed his balled hands against Broly's head sending him downward and crashing against the ground.

Trunks took this opprotnutity to rethink his strategy. 'Even with this new form I don't know if I can actually win, by now Broly's energy should be fading but it's not, it's almost like' His widened. 'Of course his energy is like the androids, whatever energy he uses, this form quickly replaces it and he's able to fight at full strength forever if he needed to.' He thought with a cringe. 'In that case I better find a way to finish him now.' The warrior thought only to hear Broly laugh again, the warrior then charged at Broly with intent on using his skill to win against his foe.

Broly didn't do anything as he was kicked in the neck sending him crashing against a crater. Even then his laugh echoed the area.

Trunks didn't waste time as he thrust his hands fired firing a yellow energy blast against the brute, creating a giant yellow explosion. The warrior wasn't fooled Broly was still alive, and he was still laughing, then he sensed it. 'Again?'

Broly walked out of the smoke with bruises all over his body, he looked different. Veins covered his whole body as he smirked with new power filling him. The giant laughed like a wild man. "Now, I am the strongest!" The full blooded saiyan yelled triumphantly as he charged his energy making the world shake.

Trunks cursed himself, whatever this power did, it made him too confident in dealing with his opponent. The half saiyan then calmed himself, it was true Broly was now stronger than he was but only slightly, he'll just have to resume his original plan and use his skill to win.

Broly charged at Trunks with newfound speed, the warrior appeared in front of Trunks with a smile. "Rah!" Broly through a fast punch against Trunks's face sending him flying and skidding across the land. The warrior ran at him at record breaking speeds.

Trunks quickly stood up and sees the goliath charging at him, he did the same running at Broly at full speeds. Broly tried to lariat his opponent only for Trunks duck under his arm as Broly took a couple steps past him, the son of Vegeta then threw a fast punch against Broly's back launching him forward. The warrior then raised one hand up with a yellow energy blast.

Broly stopped his momentum and turned around to see Trunks wielding an energy in his hand, the warrior grinned as he dashed again at his opponent with his right hand back readying his own green energy blast.

Trunks smirked as he sees his opponent charge at him, the warrior then thrusted the energy blast down creating a cloud of dust around the two fighters.

Broly growled as he stopped and looked around still holding the energy blast. "You can't run!" He yelled as he was about to fly a few feet above the ground only to be kicked in the back sending him on the ground and accidentally tossing his green orb flying out of the smoke screen. The brute got up, more veins started showing as he stood up and looked around for any signs of the half saiyan. "Show yourself!" His reply was a punch from the back of the head again sending him to the ground. "Grr coward!" He growled as he got one knee, only to be punched in the face sending him rolling against the ground, he growled as he was trying to stand up again. "Is this what the royal family has reduced themselves too?" He mocked as he wiped away green blood off his lip. "Using tricks to defeat me?!"

Trunks did not listen, he realized that his power was getting to his head already. All he had to do to remind himself not to give in to these new feelings towards fighting was thinking about the past, how the controlled 17 and 18 were terrorized his planet, how Cell killed him, how 13 nearly killed him the first and second time. The warrior remembered what Gohan had taught him when fighting against the Androids.

'Don't showboat, if you ever have the chance to destroy the androids take it, it doesn't matter what you have to do, if you allow them or anyone else enough time they can kill you and everyone near you.'

Trunks took these words to heart, it's what allowed him to shut down 17 and 18 rather than continue training risking the lives of everyone on earth. While 17 and 18 were controlled, Broly is not, he needs to finish him off by whatever means he could. Using whatever weaknesses their enemies had to his advantage, in Broly's case it was that he was overconfident and he couldn't sense energy. Even if Broly was stronger than him right now, he still had enough power to hurt him, and he had many more tactics than the legendary super saiyan and not just brute force. Trunks intended to finish this fight like he should have from the moment he had this power, with whatever method necessary.

Broly growled as he looked around for his target, this runt was using rouge tricks on him and it frustrated him. "Coward, fight me like a real warrior!" He yelled further trying to entice his rival into fighting on his terms. The larger combatant was then met with a knee to the face making him stagger, he was elbowed from the back making him stagger forward, the giant turned and threw a straight punch only to hit an afterimage. The warrior looked around through the smoke and was then struck by a sweep kick sending him downward landing on his face. "Enough!" Broly roared as he stood up with an eraser cannon in his right hand, he then thrusted his hand upward, the force of the blast blew the smoke upward. He smiled as his tactic work and looked around as the smoke was being blown away, he then sees Trunks with his hands in a familiar position.

Trunks smirked as Broly made eye contact. "Solar Flare!"

Broly cringed as the light appeared.

The time traveler then dashed forward and threw fast right hook only for it to be caught by the brute's giant hand.

Broly cackled as his closed eyes reopened. "As I said, that trick won't work again."

Trunks cursed himself, Broly may fight like a typical brawler, but he was still a warrior and the same trick won't work multiple times on his opponent. The time traveler then cringed as Broly squeezed his wrist. "Grr!"

Broly chuckled. "Now you can't get away!" The warrior yelled as he threw a punch with his free hand against Trunks's stomach. "No more tricks!" He yelled as he threw rapid punches against Trunks's stomach, making the warrior spit out blood as he did so.

'No, this won't happen!' Trunks thought as he was being punched repeatedly. The warrior tried throwing a punch with his free arm but his opponent's abdomen was out of reach, he was met with another punch to the stomach spitting more blood. The warrior's vision swam this time and he couldn't think of what to do next. 'No, I can't lose.' He thought as his vision was starting to fade, another strike from Broly and he'll be out cold.

A second later and nothing happened.

Trunks was then released from Broly's grip, he then looked up with his vision still swimming, as his eye sight started to clear, he sees something rather surprising.

Broly was holding himself with both arms as if he were in pain.

Trunks was still confused. 'What?' He asked as tried processing this brute was suddenly in pain.

"No, stay!" Broly yelled suddenly as more and more veins started showing on his body. "I will not allow you to leave!" He yelled franticly.

Trunks was confused who was he talking too? With his vision finally clear he can see Broly's body had veins showing all over his arms and face. A disturbing sight to be sure, also his aura was flickering. 'I don't get it what is going on?' The warrior then sees cracks, actual green glowing cracks appear over Broly's face and arms. "Wait" Trunks concentrated his senses on Broly's energy, he felt that it was actually overflowing, less dense, like it was trying to leave it's host. "That's it!" Trunks concluded as he remembered the energy blasts attacking all over the planet when he tried getting his friends to safety. "That's why he was doing that, his body must not be strong enough to contain all that energy." He concluded and smirked. "I better take this chance while I have it." Trunks stated as he charged at Broly.

Broly was struggling to hold his own power together, he was then surprised when he was kicked up his chin sending him upward. The warrior stopped himself as he was sent 10 meters above the ground, he looked down to see the one responsible. His opponent Trunks was getting ready to fire a blast. With a growl he then put his arms to his side. "Very well then, if you want to leave then finish him off on your way out!"He yelled as two omega blasters appeared at his side.

Trunks's eyes widened, Broly was actually concentrating all the excess energy out of his body. 'Damn, he's a lot smarter than he let's on!' He thought as he thought of what to do. 'If that blast hit's the ground, this planet will be destroyed, he could kill himself by mistake and I'll be revived with the dragon balls, but if he survives, everyone will die anyway.' He thought as he pictured, his mother, 16, 17, and 18. 'If I try a beam clash there's no doubt in my mind that he'll win.' The warrior thought as gold light showed in his palms. 'We'll I'll have to take the chance.' He thought realizing that either way he may fail. 'I'm sorry if this won't be enough.' He finished as he fired his heat dome attack.

Broly smirked as he thrust his hand's forward with small looking energy blasts, once the two small balls crashed against the yellow energy wave coming his way the blasts formed a giant green ball, a bigger omega blast than anything he'd ever seen. "Hahahaha!" He laughed as the cracks on his body stopped glowing allowing green blood to escape his new wounds. "Now die with this planet!" It was over Broly may not be able to sense energy but the blast he created surpassed his opponents and would easily push back Trunks's attack.

However Broly made one mistake.

In his rush to rid himself of all the excess energy, Broly failed at condensing his power into a solid attack, his blast may have more energy but it was completely volatile, not focused, any energy blast could easily make it pop like a bubble. Trunks's more narrow heat dome attack forced the gigantic omega blaster to explode making Broly cover cover his face with his arms but was pushed back by the impact of his attack, the giant then stopped himself and looked down to see the yellow blast still coming for him.

"No!" Broly roared as he got his green energy barrier up as the blast hit against the barrier. The blast was strong, strong enough to kill him if given the chance. Broly pushed more and more energy into his barrier screaming as he tried surviving Trunks's attack.

Trunks was surprised that his blast actually went thought Broly's attack, and now it was time to finish Broly off now. "Come on!" Trunks yelled as he put more and more energy into his attack, he growled as Broly formed his barrier around him. He doesn't care if he lives, he doesn't care if he dies, all he wants is to do is end this attack with all of the energy he has. "Raaaaaah!" He yelled as he put as much energy as he could into this attack.

Broly was being pushed back up into the outer atmosphere of the planet, he was now in space as the blast pushed against him. " I... WILL NOT...DIE!" The giant roared as he continued to press his barrier covered body against the blast trying to out power it. The barrier cracked, until it finally shattered leaving Broly out with no oxygen, however that didn't stop him as he actually got his arms out holding the blast trying to out power it. 'This won't happen!' He thought as he continued clashing against the wave of energy.

Trunks kept pouring more and more energy into his blast until finally, his new transcended form fell to a mere SSJ, then again at normal state, he then fell to his knees and looked up as the blast was sent into space. "*Pant* *Pant* " Trunks was now exhausted, he's all out of power now, if Broly survives this, he will not have the energy to fight back.

Broly roared as he was still being pushed back, he felt heat on his back, he turned his head to see the star of the solar system. 'No!' He thought, he couldn't die he's supposed to be the end of the universe, he's supposed to destroy earth and any who stand in his way. He's suppose to, his eyes widened as he finally remembered. Remembered what made him the way he was, a sound that made him the strongest, cry.

He hears crying, so loud and familiar. His infant self trying to sleep peacefully and another infant screaming and crying. One with spiky hair, all this crying robbed him of sleep, and made him the strongest warrior in the universe cry. That other saiyan made him shed tears, even as an infant no saiyan, especially the strongest should show such weakness. This other saiyan robbed him of his sleep before King Vegeta tried executing him. He remembers at night when he tried to sleep that he could still hear that cry, the sound that made him feel powerless. The cry that drove him mad. That saiyan's name was...Kakarot.

Broly finally remembered the one person he needed to destroy, to take revenge on the one that robbed him of his sleep. The sound that he committed to memory, the sound that made him show weakness. "KAKAROT!" Broly yelled with absolute hatred as he finally stopped the attack, he then used all the energy he had to push against the blast, however the attack was still pushing against him. With Broly's goal remembered he thrusts the blast away from him and into the sun. Then he quickly flew to the planet his opponent was on and finally finishing him off to chase after Kakarot.

Trunks looks up to see Broly flying downward to his location, he looks across shocked at Broly. "How is he still" He couldn't finish as his eyes widened in fear at the sight of giant crashed against the ground and looked at the half saiyan with a stare that made his blood run cold. "No, you can't" Trunks said as he clenched the dirt in his hands, this was it, it was over.

Broly said nothing as he walked forward with heavy foot steps. "First you" Broly stated as his aura was fading. "Then" The giant then fell on one knee. "Kakarot" The giant was doing his best to ignore the pain his body was in. The legendary Super Saiyan didn't care what he felt even as his transformation dropped to his normal state. "Kakarot" He said as he finally looked down at his stomach covered in scorch marks. That part of his body was where King Vegeta stabbed him and that blast had inflicted more pain in him than he could ever imagine, Broly didn't care he needed to finish this. "Kakarot" He said as he fell to the ground with a pool of blood coming out of his stomach and his cuts. The legend was now face down on the ground.

Trunks was panted heavily at the sight, for a moment he thought he was done for. Luckily his attack left it's mark and was able to finish him. The half-saiyan let himself lie down on his back completely exhausted and laughed. "Hehehe" He won. The battle was hard fought but he won, and that was all that mattered, he smiled as he looked upward hoping to rest and heal before heading to a space pod. If there is one.

We'll, first I need to say this.

YES! YES! YES! My god, sooo many chapters of Trunks one of my favorite characters in DBZ actually beat his first enemy. My god, you have no idea how satisfied I am now. And his first won fight was against Broly, a fan favorite also mine included. It was a long road but after so many chapters of writing Trunks get beaten I finally got to my personal favorite chapter. One wear he shows that he is what we already know, a badass.

Also the ending to this fight is a reference to how a fight ended in a certain anime, it's not exactly it but it has a close resemblance. Not sure if any of you can guess but feel free, I'll give my answer in the next chapter.

Now on to Broly's power up, basically whenever Broly powers up, he doesn't just get stronger, he has to release whatever power he has because his body isn't strong enough to maintain it, that's what happened in the first movie. I think he can try holding it in, with what ever energy control he has but at the risk of making his body detonate. Also about how his blast didn't get past Trunks's heat dome attack, it was because he didn't take the time to concentrate it into a hardened energy blast. I got the idea when Mecha Frieza destroyed his own energy blast by throwing a smaller one at it and it exploded. I hope that makes sense for why it happened.

As for how Broly kept up with a SSJ2, we'll remember Trunks isn't as strong as Teen Gohan but Goku, and I don't think there's anything that suggests he'd be stronger than Cell, after all it was stated that Cell held back against Goku, personally I think Cell and Broly are on par with eachother in terms of power, if Cell wanted to he might have been able to fight against the strongest z-fighters all at once if he was serious and might've tanked Vegeta's final flash and Goku's instant Kamehameha if he had brought out his full power, but didn't due to his saiyan cells making him enjoy battle.

Ok now that that's done how about we get to reviews.

moneygreen932: You have a fair point, 18 shows more likable qualities than 17, while he is only shown to be a cocky bastard. But to be honest I think that's how 17 shows he's human. I mean he's basically the result of a reckless teenager being given a really big weapon(which isn't far off). I mean, what would you do if you were suddenly given power (even against your will) and how could you not want to test it out or just do whatever you wanted ? 17 is cocky, does what he feels like, very immature and laid back unlike his sister. But personally that's what I like about him, that immaturity and his way of viewing life like a game, sometimes I'm like that. Being impulsive can be fun, I personally like 17 as a character maybe not more than 18, but I feel I can relate to how he is.

Also in GT it was stated that Super 17 showed his weakness so she and Goku can finish him off. So that shows he was a decent guy, also yeah unlike Naruto not every villain has a backstory, it doesn't mean we can't try making our own right?

shadowwriter01: Thanks, I wanted to make it realistic, It made my brain hurt trying to find a way to trigger his transformation. I feel like having someone he was attached to was recycled in fanfics enough, and I also had try finding a theory on why Vegeta or Goku were incapable of transforming, I'm glad I found a theory that suits it well.
