All's Fair in Clawf and War
The next morning, Lincoln, Clyde, and their Pokemon all have breakfast. After they finished eating and cleaning their dishes, they try to figure out what they were going to do today.
"So, what's the plan, buddy?" asked Clyde. Lincoln thinks for a minute before pulling out his Rotom Phone and brings up the map of the area. He sees one of the locations that Arven mentioned a while back in the area they were in.
"According to Arven, there's a Titan Pokemon around here somewhere." said Lincoln.
"Really?" replied Clyde.
"This map says there is." said Lincoln.
"Should we go check it out?" asked Clyde.
"Sure." said Lincoln. "But let's get our Pokemon checked out at a Pokemon Center."
"Where's the closest one?" asked Clyde. Lincoln looks at the map on his Rotom Phone and sees one north of where they are.
"There's one on the way to where the Titan Pokemon is." said Lincoln.
"Let's get packed up so we can get started." said Clyde. As they started to pack up their camping equipment; the Charcadet from the other day wakes up and looks down towards them from the small plateau it was sleeping on. When the two start walking off, the Charcadet hops down to ground level and follows after them.
The two reach the Pokemon Center and hand the nurse their Pokemon. After they get checked out, the two continue on towards their destination.
As they neared a tall tower, they see a woman with dark skin, wearing a filtration mask on her face, an orange hoodie with splotches of paint on it, and dark pink sweatpants, walking towards them in a state of shock.
"Are you okay?" Lincoln asked the woman who looks towards the two boys with a blank stare on her face.
"It...was...huge." said the woman.
"What was?" asked Clyde. The woman looks towards a nearby cliff wall.
"The Pokemon...so big...Incredible!" said the woman. Lincoln and Clyde look at each other.
"The Titan Pokemon!" said the two in unison. As the woman continues to wander off, the boys try and figure out what to do.
"What now?" asked Lincoln.
"We should look to see what the Pokemon is like." said Clyde.
"Yeah, but quietly; we don't know what we're dealing with yet." said Lincoln. Clyde nods and the two sneak over to the spot the woman pointed out. As they go down a nearby path, they see a horde of orange, crablike Pokemon with cream-colored bellies, and bristles of dark fur between its eyes, and around its joints; standing in it.
"What are those?" asked Clyde as he points his Rotom Phone at one of the Pokemon.
"Klawf, the Ambush Pokemon. Klawf hangs upside-down from cliffs, waiting for prey. But Klawf can't remain in this position for long because its blood rushes to its head." said Clyde's Rotom Phone.
The Klawfs, hearing Clyde's Rotom Phone, look toward the boys, and glare menacingly at them.
"They don't look friendly." Lincoln nervously said. Then without warning, the Klawfs start moving towards the boys.
"What do we do?" asked Clyde.
"Well, if they want to battle, then let's give them what they want." said Lincoln.
"The Rotom Phone says they're rock types, so we should use any of our Pokemon that know moves that would be super effective against them." suggested Clyde.
"Let's do it!" said Lincoln. He throws some of his pokeballs, releasing his Floragato, Pawmo, Lechonk, Shellder, and Greavard.
Clyde throws some of his, releasing his Quaxwell, Skiploom, and Nacli.
"Floragato, use Magical Leaf! Pawmo, use Arm Thrust! Lechonk, use Mud Shot! Greavard, use Dig!" said Lincoln.
"Quaxwell, use Water Gun! Skiploom, use Bullet Seed! Nacli, you use Mud Shot also!" said Clyde.
Their Pokemon use the attacks their respective trainers told them to, doing super effective damage to the Klawfs that got close to them.
The Klawfs also fought hard as well, using their claws to squeeze some of the boys' Pokemon, as well as dropping rocks on them, doing super effective damage to Skiploom; but Clyde had her use Absorb to restore her health after those hits.
Lincoln noticed that some of the Klawfs got faster as they got hit by attacks.
"Keep it up, guys!" said Lincoln. What he doesn't realize was that on the side of a plateau he was standing next to, another Klawf was clinging to the side of it, looking down at him with its claws pointing towards him. As it prepares to pounce, it's hit by small bits of fire that don't do much to it, but the action does get Lincoln and Clyde's attention.
"Lincoln, look out!" said Clyde. Pawmo turns around and sees the Klawf above her trainer. She then runs over and jumps up at the Klawf, delivering another Arm Thrust attack to it, knocking it off the plateau.
"Man, that was close." said Lincoln. He then looks around to find out where the fire came from. After a short while, the remaining Klawfs retreat towards the cliff that the boys were originally heading for. Lincoln and Clyde each take the opportunity to catch one of the Klawfs that were knocked out for their collections.
"Let's see what our Klawfs are like." said Clyde.
"Okay." said Lincoln as they take out their Rotom Phones to look up their new Pokemon's information. "My Klawf is a girl, she knows Vise Grip, Rock Throw, Harden, Rock Smash, and Rock Tomb; she has the Shell Armor ability like my Shellder does."
"My Klawf has the same moves, but it's a guy, and he has the Anger Shell ability which increases his attack strengths and speed if he takes enough damage, but it also lowers his defenses as well." said Clyde.
"That explains why some of those other ones got faster during the battle." said Lincoln before their Klawfs get transported to storage.
"Are you okay after that Klawf almost got at you?" asked Clyde.
"Yeah, I'm fine." said Lincoln as he looks around some more. "Did you see where the fire that hit that Klawf came from?"
"Not really." said Clyde. "I was too focused on those other Klawfs." Their Pokemon came back over to them.
"Thanks for protecting us, guys." said Lincoln. As Lechonk nods in response, he freezes up and starts to glow.
"Lechonk's evolving!" said Clyde. Everyone watches as he starts to change; when he finished, he was bigger, as were his ears, his body was longer, his head and neck were a blackish gray, while the rest of his fur was a dark gray color, his eyelids, snout, and hooves were dark pink, his tail was longer and curly with a dark pink ball on the end of it, and he had yellow eyelash-like protrusions coming out from below his eyes. Lincoln takes out his Rotom Phone and points it at his newly evolved Pokemon.
"Oinkologne, the Hog Pokemon, and the evolved form of Lechonk. Oinkologne is proud of its fine, glossy skin. It emits a concentrated scent from the tip of its tail." said the Rotom Phone.
"Awesome!" said Lincoln. Multiple chimes rang from his Rotom Phone, making him look at it. "This says that Floragato learned Seed Bomb, Pawmo learned Bite, and Shellder learned Supersonic." Clyde then hears multiple chimes coming from his Rotom Phone as well.
"My Quaxwell learned Water Pulse and Low Sweep, my Skiploom learned Leech Seed, and Nacli learned Iron Defense." said Clyde.
"Let's have something to eat before we search for the Titan Pokemon." said Lincoln.
"Yeah, our Pokemon earned a meal." said Clyde. The two prepare sandwiches for themselves and their Pokemon. Lincoln makes an extra sandwich and carries it over to a small rock where he places it on under a napkin.
"Ummm, I don't know if whoever used that fire attack on that one Klawf is around; if you are, then this sandwich is for you as my way of saying thanks." said Lincoln out loud. He then heads back towards Clyde to eat lunch.
After they finished, they started cleaning up; as Lincoln does, he looks towards where he put the sandwich and sees it wasn't there.
"I hope that whatever helped me was the one who took the sandwich." said Lincoln. After everything was cleaned up, the boys continue on their way. What they don't realize was that as they walked, the Charcadet was watching them while munching on a sandwich.
The boys soon neared the cliff they were heading to and see the remaining Klawfs from before in front of it, looking up at something.
"What are they looking at?" asked Lincoln.
"Look up on the cliff wall." said Clyde with a shocked tone of voice. Lincoln looks to where Clyde told him to, and his eyes widen when he sees a VERY LARGE KLAWF!
