Chapter 30 – Of Mecha and Another Riders
Woz could be seen walking down an alleyway as he held his book close, "Once according to this book, average high schooler Tokiwa Sougo embarked on a path that would lead him to become the overlord of time, Oma Zi-O. He has since abandoned this ambition and chosen to live as Kamen Rider Zi-O. Yet he will still be my Overlord…"
As Woz walked through the alleyway it could be noted that the area around him was not the same that it was in Argus, or even Remnant for that matter.
"Traveling to a new world he has chosen to help Miss Rose in the task of securing the Relic of Knowledge in Atlas. After attempting to steal an aircraft went horribly wrong on all ends, their opponent Caroline Cordovin has sent a giant machine out to face them. Needless to say I must make haste, lest my Overlord and Miss Rose face their end."
Earth – December 22nd 2018
Sento and Ryuga were currently staring at something intriguing to them. The two were inside their usual warehouse abode where they boringly went along with their lives after the Dai Mazines had sunken back into the Earth. The two had argued a lot with Ryuga calling Sento out on leaving him behind to view the new developments. But their arguments were interrupted and they were surprised when they had a visitor, or assumed anyway.
The only thing that was even outside was an envelope that was taped to the door. The two stared at it immensely due to who it was addressed to.
"So…" Ryuga trailed. "You gonna open it?"
"Why would I open it?" Sougo asked.
"Well I mean, it could be a clue right?" Ryuga asked instead of answering.
"Don't reply with a question dummy," Sento sighed as he ruffled his hair a bit. "I know it could very well be a clue but it feels weird… you know, opening a letter and it's not for me."
"Yeah but those big machines show up, vanish, and then we can't contact any of them," Ryuga pointed out. "Remember before we started going at each other?"
"True," Sento sighed. "I know it's only been a couple of hours but it's still worrisome."
The sound of knocking before the door opening could then be heard. The two Riders immediately scrambled and got in defensive positions. To their surprise they saw Woz enter casually with his arms up, yet still holding his book.
"Hey… you're that rejoicing guy right?" Ryuga pointed out.
"Ah that's right," Sento realized, remembering Woz's sudden appearance when they were meeting with Ruby and the others. "You were here to help give information on what was going on."
"I'm glad you remember me," Woz said as he lowered his arms before closing the door and leaning against the entrance wall. "However I am filled with anxiety…"
"Is this about those big metal things that were out and about earlier today?" Ryuga asked.
"Does it have to do with Sougo and Ruby?" Sento asked as he began to walk forward, snatching the letter and pocketing it.
"You need not concern yourself with such trivial matters," Woz answered as he moved forward to meet with the genius physicist. "However I require your assistance… or rather they do."
"What kind of assistance?" Sento asked.
"Are they in trouble?" Ryuga asked as he quickly stepped forward. "Where are they?"
"Now, now hold on," Woz called out. "Even if I told you, you wouldn't be able to reach it. They are not on this world anymore, and in fact they've been gone for nearly 2 weeks on the world they've gone to."
"I don't get it…" Ryuga trailed.
"Of course you wouldn't dummy," Sento gave an annoyed click of the tongue.
"At least call me musclehead!" Ryuga pointed out.
"Now's not the time for semantics," Sento hushed Ryuga before looking at the chronicler. "They're on Remnant, aren't they?"
"So I take it Miss Rose has told you then," Woz noted.
"I've been trying to find a way to send her back and now you're telling me she is back?" Sento replied before rubbing his neck a bit. "What kind of trouble are they in?"
"They need vehicles known as the Time Mazine's in order to beat a new foe that has approached," Woz explained. "However trying to get to Remnant with them has caused some trouble, being myself I can cross no issue, but I cannot get them to cross."
Sento put a hand to his chin and thought a bit before snapping his fingers, "That's it!"
"What's it?" Ryuga asked.
Sento quickly hurried over to the white panel that was on the wall, not noticing that it had shaken again. He quickly grabbed it before bringing it over, "This White Pandora Panel will allow us to access Remnant."
"It will?" Ryuga asked.
"We used it to help access parallel worlds before, remember?" Sento reminded before holding it up to show Woz. "If we input the right data into this then we can reach Remnant in no time flat."
"Then let us make haste," Woz said as he hurried to the door.
"Right," Sento gave a nod and followed after.
"Let's go save them, yeah!" Ryuga cheered as he followed after the two.
Woz had opened the door to exit before suddenly stopping, Sento bumping into him with a grunt and Ryuga nearly running the two over causing them to stumble forward.
"Jeez, what's the big deal," Ryuga called out with a wince.
"It wasn't me," Sento held his hands up.
Woz despite stumbling stared straight ahead at who was before him, "You…"
Remnant – Argus, Cliffside
[RIDER TIME!]
[KAMEN RIDER Zi-O!]
[KAMEN RIDER GEIZ!]
Geiz and Sougo immediately took their base forms as they readied their weapons in their long range formations. Hearing the transformations ring out through the comm's did not send confident vibes towards Weiss.
"You're joking, right?" Weiss asked. "You want to fight this thing?!"
"We've fought giant monsters before," Ruby reminded. "This is just a tiny old lady… with one very big robot. Listen, I've got a backup plan and we need to stall at least!"
"Wait we have a backup?" Sougo asked.
"Ruby, who did you call?" Geiz questioned.
"Uh, no time to really be answering that," Ruby pointed at the incoming Colossus.
"You little spider-roaches thought you could creep your way to Atlas?! Well, let's see how your resolve holds out against the might of the Atlesian Military!"
Cordovin still seemed to be concerned with only the stolen Manta, the Colossus took aim, but instead of activating the cannon, the rotating panels revealed a missile launcher. One missile was launched out, but it was homing and began hastily approaching the rogue aircraft.
Before it could reach it suddenly detonated and exploded in mid-air. The Colossus turned as Cordovin soon saw the grouping of Huntsman, Students, and Riders all ready for a fight, Ruby having been the one to take the missile down via a sniper shot.
"SO BE IT!"
The Colosus aimed its cannon, charging up an Ice Dust powered attack as everyone braced.
"Dive!" could be heard from Weiss over the comms.
Suddenly the Manta had come in from making a turnaround, diving behind the group as Weiss emerged from the airship door, raising her weapon and forming a rock wall via her glyphs just as the shot from the cannon was fired. A blast of ice struck the rock wall, creating an even larger wall of ice over the rock shielding. Thankfully the attack had also given them further cover via the ice emitting a thick fog when it impacted.
"That was close," Oscar admitted in shock.
"We need to figure out how to stop Cordovin and protect the airship until we do," Ruby said, deciding now was the time to make a game plan. "Or at least until Plan T arrives, hopefully, at the very least it'll make things easier."
"What's plan T?" Sougo asked.
"Can't say," Ruby admitted. "We can't get our hopes up over something that might not happen."
"For now, let's give her more targets to focus on," Jaune suggested.
"You mean us, don't you?" Nora asked, nearly dropping her weapon.
"Look at that thing," Jaune reminded as he paced around. "It's not designed for small enemies. It's probably meant for giant Grimm that come in from deeper waters. We can turn our size into an advantage. We just have to be smart."
"Maria can you keep the ship out of harm's way?" Ruby asked.
"They can take my driver's license, but I won't let them take this ship!" Maria grinned.
"Very reassuring…" Ren deadpanned.
"I'll be more useful if I go with her." Oscar offered. "From up high, I can try to spot a weakness."
"I'll go as well," Tsukuyomi added, realizing where she'd best be suited, especially without armor and Aura.
"Well, they're not the only one who can grab a bird's eye view," Qrow smiled.
"Geiz, Ghost Armor, Sougo, Decade Armor and whatever Final Form Time you think can work," Ruby directed her friends before taking the lamp and handing it over to Oscar, "Keep this safe too."
"Right," Oscar took the lamp and hooked it onto his belt.
"Got it," Geiz said as he prepped his Armor Time.
"Let's do this!" Sougo agreed as he got the Decade Watch ready alongside Ryuki's.
Weiss turned to Ruby, "You said you needed me on the ground? Did you need me to use Quiz?"
"Not exactly," Ruby gave a nervous smile as she loaded her Roze Ridewatch into her Ziku Driver, "I doubt Quiz is going to be super helpful right now."
From Cordovin's view as she got closer, she eyed the slowly but surely fading foggy location very keenly. Her eyes however widened when she saw what was going on.
[RIDER TIME!]
[ARMOR TIME!]
As the announcements rung out, everyone split from behind the cover in different groupings.
[KAMEN RIDER ROZE!]
[KAIGAN! GHOST!]
[WOW DE~CADE! FINAL FORM TIME R-R-R-RYUKI!]
Team JNR alongside Sougo in Decade Armor Ryuki Form were running towards Cordovin's left. The airship took off towards her right, with Oscar and Tsukuyomi safely inside. Shooting upwards was Qrow in his corvid form, Ruby using her Semblance and reforming via a holographic flash. While Geiz floated upwards alongside her in Ghost Armor with an orange glow around him.
Ruby took aim and fired from Crescent Rose, the enhanced blast from her weapon heavily cracking the Colossus' windshield, the cracks spreading and readily obscuring Cordovin's vision.
Cordovin growled out as the Colossus prepared its counter, aiming its cannon as the missile pod opened up, unleashing a flurry of missiles in Ruby's general direction.
Geiz floated forward, summoning the Musashi and Edison Ghost Parka's to aid him as they began working on thinning out the missiles by taking out the ones incoming from the sides. While Edison sent out electric shots to detonate them, Musashi simply slashed through them. Geiz had allowed himself to slowly float downwards, having thinned the herd of missiles for his friend.
Ruby meanwhile had dropped onto a tree branch after the shot, quickly using her Semblance to launch forward and land on a missile heading straight for her, jumping along the few left before dropping towards the ocean.
Geiz soon dropped his ghostly aura and dropped alongside Ruby, an incoming wave being frozen into a ramp via Weiss who was already below. The trio slid and jumped off the ramp, Weiss creating ice platforms along the water for her and Ruby to jump along. Geiz meanwhile reactivated his ghostly aura, floating forward with them.
Meanwhile grenade fire began slamming against the Colossus, pink smoke occurring from the impacts.
"Hey! Over here!"
"What?!"
Jaune's taunt alongside Nora's grenades had managed to force Cordovin to turn her attention to his team and Sougo. The four ran along the cliffside to draw her attention away.
"And you said it wasn't beach season!" Nora called to Ren.
"You know this does kind of count!" Sougo realized.
"Not the time you two," Jaune groaned as they took cover behind a few boulders.
Nora took this chance to fire off several more grenades from her launcher. Of course they weren't expecting the Colossus to hold out its hand, a hexagonal shield forming and protecting it from further damage.
Cordovin could only laugh, "Surely you knew Atlas was the father of hard-light Dust, or do lesser kingdoms simply lack proper education?"
The Colossus aimed for where Jaune's group was hiding, locking in earth Dust and taking aim.
"Oh no," Sougo called as he quickly hit the Ryuki Watch's button. "Dragreder!"
Suddenly out of the water Dragreder launched out but its body turned grey before shattering out, revealing a larger and more mechanical variant known as Dragranzer. The Mirror Monster soon positioned itself right where Cordovin was aiming.
The Colossus fired, spikes of earth impacting against Dragranzer before it shook its body, shattering the rocks as Jaune and his team stayed where they were. It soon raised itself and stood tall, taking another blast of earth Dust directly against its body. And once again it simply moved, shattering the rock that encased it before roaring out.
"Whoa, I didn't know you had that!" Nora called out.
"I didn't either, Dragreder's even cooler now!" Sougo cheered.
Dragranzer soon began launching out fireballs at the Colossus, it having to take a step back and hold out its hand again. The hard-light Dust had managed to hold, but it seemed to be straining due to the power behind the attacks.
"Cordo just activated shields!" Jaune called on the comm's, "Sougo's helping us hold but we need a new plan!"
"I saw that. We need to find whatever's generating it." Oscar called on his end.
Ruby, Weiss and Geiz meanwhile had managed to use this chance to get close to the Colosus via one of the ice patches. Geiz had the idea to strike at its ankle joints, floating between each and making a few small strikes against them each time.
"You know, in video games, the weak spot's usually on the back of the giant boss!" Ruby noted over comms.
"Ruby, this isn't a game!" Weiss reminded.
"Hey don't count her advice out-crap," Geiz noticed the Colossus had taken notice of his attacks, "MOVE!"
Weiss and Ruby quickly hopped onto another patch of ice before forming another to get further away, Geiz floating after them. A giant foot soon stomped down near them, taking out the ice platforms they had been using. The Colossus had noticed them and chose to withdraw to keep its shields from taking further damage from Dragranzer.
"You are ants! You are lower than ants!" Cordovin called before giving a grunt when the Colossus rocked slightly. "What was that?!"
"Until the shield's down, we're gonna have to get up close and personal with this thing," Qrow called as he had been the one to land on the machine. He had managed to make a dent via his scythe and was currently shooting at it before shifting back to his avian form once the Colossus had tried to reach for him.
"That's easier said than done!" Ren shouted.
"Weiss and I are on it!" Ruby called out as she and Weiss landed on another platform of ice.
"What's the plan?" Geiz asked as he floated near them.
"Just brace," Weiss warned before stabbing Myrtenaster into the ground, ice began jutting out of the ocean along a path, slamming into the Colossus' shin and forcing it off balance. In a surprising display despite regaining balance it needed a few more seconds to correctly do so.
"Looks like hitting the ankles worked," Ruby noted.
"YOU THREE, MOVE!" Tsukuyomi's voice yelled.
The Colossus had hastily aimed its cannon at Geiz, Ruby and Weiss, launching out a volley of missiles that rained down upon them. A large plume of water was the result but surprisingly Geiz was the first to come out unscathed. He floated higher up, bringing out the Newton and Robinhood Parka's as he readied his axe. He and the Parka's began floating along the cannon arm to slowly but surely rack up more damage to it.
Weiss meanwhile had brought another summon out, the Queen Lancer Grimm. The large insect flew out from the plume with both her and Ruby on top, the two unscathed. Weiss had the summon fly higher while Ruby jumped off, spinning as she slammed down, embedding the scythe into a spot above the cockpit window. The force behind the strike had managed to force the Colossus into the cliffside.
Unbeknownst to everyone though, the Colossus slamming into the cliffside had managed to cause tremors to be felt in Argus.
"Let's move in!" Jaune called as his team and Sougo moved forward.
Thanks to the machine using its left arm to try and push against the cliffside, Ren had landed on the back of its hand before running up and along it, embedding his bladed weapons into a panel to hang on. Jaune was quick to slash at the machines hips, Sougo getting an idea and bringing out the Heisaber.
Dragranzer followed after its partner, readying itself once it saw Sougo preparing an attack.
[HEY! RYUKI!]
"Let's go," Sougo ordered as Dragranzer nodded, his Heisaber catching on fire as the Mirror Monster charged flames in its mouth, "Jaune, move!"
[RYUKI! DUAL TIME BREAK!]
"Huh," Jaune turned before his eyes widened, "Oh jeez!" He yelled before running and sliding out of the way.
Sougo let out a yell as he jabbed forward, Dragranzer lurching forward. Both released two reasonably sized fireballs that impacted at close range against the hips of the machine. Nora meanwhile got a potshot in by smacking the cannon with her hammer, causing the Colossus to be continually rocked.
Geiz meanwhile had landed back on the cliffside during all of this. He began to make his way over to Sougo and Team JNR at somewhat slow pace. Ghost's floating abilities being used constantly alongside the Damashii had winded him a bit.
Cordovin meanwhile had managed to get her ultimate weapon to stand, the resulting steadying of the machine causing Ruby's weapon to slice through further and be lowered down. Ruby couldn't help but awkwardly wave in her Rider Form.
Cordovin's eyes widened, she was confused by the weird armor from afar, but seeing it up close just made her even more confused, "What on Remnant?!"
"Not Remnant, Earth!" Ruby shouted before yelping as she saw the Colossus' hand coming towards her. Dismissing her weapon she fell and used Petal Burst to float downwards, thankfully being caught by Weiss on her Queen Lancer summon.
"What if I hadn't caught you?" Weiss asked with concern, having just barely been able to react in time to Ruby's crazy stunt.
"I knew you would," Ruby called proudly only to sigh in relief after her partner turned with a huff.
While all that was going on, and while the Colossus was currently trying to turn around to get a lock on its targets, Ren was going largely undetected by scaling to the back. Humming caught his attention as he saw a panel, using the blades of his weapon to pry it off. Though he lost grip and pried the panel off at the same time when the Colossus jerked a bit in its movements.
Thankfully Qrow was also undetected and had seen Ren, rushing in and transforming back to human form to grab him. "Gotcha, what'd ya find?" He asked as he pulled Ren back up.

~Shield Generator~
The two looked at each other, surprised that both Ruby's intuition was right and by how blatant the weak point was.
"Well, alright then," Qrow shrugged before he and Ren aimed their weapons, both shooting in tandem to blow out the generator.
The effect was instant, the Colossus' shields formed outwardly before flickering and powering down as if to show that the attempt was successful.
"No, no, no, no!"
It wasn't long before Weiss and Ruby zipped their way underneath the machine via the Queen Lancer, getting near Qrow and Ren.
"Get on," Weiss called, and once the party was ready she had her summon take off and fly them further away.
Grenade fire alongside fireballs shot out and impacted against the colossal machine, Nora alongside Dragranzer firing off against it.
"You get back here with my man!" Nora yelled out.
"Yeah you tell her!" Sougo called out.
"I've had enough of you ingrates!"
Cordovin had the Colossus raise its arm, planning on sweeping its arm across to take out the cliffside combatants in one fell swoop.
"Not on my watch, Jaune make sure their Aura's are enhanced!" Geiz called as he ran alongside Jaune who realized what was going on.
[ARMOR TIME! PLEASE! WIZARD!]
The Ghost Armor broke apart before the magic circle to form the Wizard armor formed as Geiz ran, forming over him as he readied his Driver again.
[FINISH TIME! WIZARD!]
Geiz slid in front Nora, Sougo and Dragranzer, forming a magic circle between him and the approaching hand.
[STRIKE TIME BURST!]
With a yell Geiz kicked through the magic circle, his leg enlarging and stretching out as it slammed into the Colossus' hand, sparks flying as he managed to hold it back.
Sougo's eyes widened, "Geiz!"
Jaune quickly grabbed onto the two, boosting their Aura's, "Brace!"
Geiz winced as the mechanical hand pushed forward, beating his hastily sent out kick and forcing him to stagger back into the group. Dragranzer quickly coiled around the four once Geiz was near them.
While the momentum had been stopped, the Colossus continued to sweep its hand forward and smacked the group. Thankfully they only tumbled a bit, Dragranzer releasing them all and soon resting on the ground as everyone staggered and fell from being shaken up.
Geiz however had lost his Armor Time as the strain from losing the clash had done enough damage to force him back to his base form.
"Safe," Ruby sighed in relief.
Weiss however turned in surprise, "Not Sa-!"
The Colossus had used Weiss floating in mid-air to load a Wind Dust cartridge in and attack via its cannon. Everyone on the Queen Lancer summon yelled out as they were assaulted by a powerful gust of air, Weiss had tried to move forward and only succeeded in sending them flying towards the cliffside.
Qrow, Ren and Weiss had managed to land just barely on the cliff, though Ruby was dropping faster due to her armor. She had tried using Petal Burst to launch herself upwards but just made it shy of the cliff, yelling as she fell.
Just barely thinking quickly enough she brought Crescent Rose back in its scythe formation, slamming it into the rock and using it to embed and slow her fall, leaving her hanging for dear life over the ocean below.
"This is what happens when you think you know better than those rightfully in charge!"
Cordovin aimed the Colossus' arm cannon at Ruby, the panels turning as it readied its next attack.
Geiz barely pushed himself into a sitting position as his eyes widened, "Ruby!"
Sougo gritted his teeth as he stood, he looked at Dragranzer, before pointing in Ruby's direction, "Please, get her now!"
The contract monster gave a nod before slowly raising its body, soon launching out to try and reach Ruby in time.
Inside the Manta, Oscar and Tsukuyomi meanwhile were both in shock at how badly things were turning out in regards to the ground fighters. While they were making headway the Colossus was still too big to properly deal with.
"We've got to do something!" Oscar shouted.
"Hmm," Maria began flicking a few switches.
"Ms. Calavera…" Tsukuyomi trailed, really hoping that this idea wouldn't get them killed.
"Relax," Maria called as she flew by the Colossus, initiating and firing a missile out at the mechanized giant.
To everyone's shock however it seemed as though Cordovin had seen that coming, having the Colossus grab the missile with its hand without detonating it. While successfully saving Ruby from being a sitting target, Cordovin had a new target as everyone looked on in shock.
"Calavera…"
"I'm sorry, how?!" Tsukuyomi yelled.
The Colossus soon turned, swinging its arm and tossing the missile right into the Manta's flight path.
Ruby could only stare at the missile approaching her friends but her eyes widened when a blue glint in the distance had caught her eye.
In the blink of an eye before the missile could even reach the Manta, something struck and detonated it in mid-air, allowing the Manta to pass by safely.
Cordovin's eye twitched, "WHAT?!"
Ruby had to contain herself as Dragranzer came swooping down and floated near underneath her. Ruby dismissed her weapon and hopped on, petting the Mirror Monster on its neck, "What has Sougo been feeding you?" She asked jokingly, surprised at the differences.
The Mirror Monster simply let out a growl as it launched upwards with Ruby in tow, soon arriving on the cliffside and allowing her to hop off. With another growl it launched back into the ocean, disappearing after that.
"You okay kiddo?" Qrow asked.
"Just peachy," Ruby admitted.
"Ruby, thank goodness!" Sougo called out as he ran over with Jaune, Nora and Geiz, "Looks like he got to you in time."
"Guys," Ren gave a relieved smile as he ran over.
"Yep, and he's not the only one," Ruby gave a chuckle.
Geiz tilted his head, "The only one?"
"What do you mean by that?" Sougo asked.
"Plan T has just arrived," Ruby announced.
Remnant – Argus, Forest
The sound of ringing metal and clashing swords rang through the air of the forest. It was a battle of mobility and speed as Adam and Blake raced across the forest in their enhanced forms, every now and again stopping for a short clash.
The two slashed against each other several times, despite Blake's two weapons and added strength, Adam was able to keep pace as neither of them landed a hit, only clashing blades.
"You're really stupid you know that!" Adam called as his sword shined a bright red, unleashing a slash of energy against Blake.
Blake gasped out as the slash struck against her, surprisingly however the sound of slicing through plastic and sticks could be heard as the slash hurtled past. What had been hit and cut was instead a straw doll with plastic variations of Shinobi's chest and shoulders alongside a paper with a ':3' emoji drawn on it.
The ninja Rider soon appeared behind Adam with her arms crossed, slicing down and sending sparks flying before she flipped backwards and away from a retaliating slash.
"I know all about your Semblance," Blake called out as she got in a defensive stance. "But what you don't know is my mobility is definitely higher in this form!"
"Like that will do anything when I'm enhanced like this," Adam reminded as he spread his arms out, showcasing his Another Rider form. While he had lost his sheathe, Blush, in the transformation, the important part that remained was his sword, Wilt.
Suddenly the sound of an explosion far away could be heard, Blake's head perking in the direction it came from. Her eyes widened as she realized she was wasting too much time with Adam.
Adam gave a yell as he threw his left arm across, launching out several fireballs from the dragon mouth that was his left hand. He chuckled when he saw Blake predictably jump backwards he aimed and sent a fireball straight towards her.
Blake had realized that she didn't have enough room to dodge in either direction so up was the only way to go. However she didn't realize her opponent had been aware of that, gasping out as she was struck in the stomach, sparks flying as she flew back further. She flipped in the air, righting herself as she landed on feet in a crouch.
She needed to get away and get back to the others, if Adam was making his move as a fully sentient Another Rider that meant the Time Jackers were done playing around. She sheathed both blades before spreading her arms out.
Adam yelled out as he jumped forward, aiming his dragon arm behind him and launching a fireball to propel him forward. He raised Wilt up and slashed downwards at Blake, he had suspected it was a trap and he was right, only hitting her Shadow clone.
Blake had used Shadow to flip over Adam, spinning her Shuriken Starter in mid-air before landing behind him and performing a hand sign.
[FLAME NINPO!]
Adam had only just turned before he was assaulted by a constant stream of flames, sparks flying as the flames burned his twisted armored body. He growled, shifting his sword and holding the flat side out, allowing it to take the brunt of the attacks.
Blake's eyes widened when she saw the blade of Wilt shining brightly before quickly jumping back and using Shadow to form a clone in front of her and jump back further. She quickly sidestepped to avoid a large red slash hurtling towards her.
"I've got to say, this form is certainly useful with my Semblance," Adam chuckled.
"And this is where I leave," Blake muttered before drawing out Gambol Shroud from its sheathe, switching it to its kusarigama form and firing at Adam who attempted to block, managing to land a few hits on him while the rest were absorbed into Wilt.
"Don't you dare," Adam growled.
Blake immediately turned and jumped off, using Gambol Shroud and its rope to latch onto tree's to pull her towards them faster. Her plan was to try and get to the others by swinging from tree to tree to throw off Adam long enough.
"Can you do anything besides run?!" Adam yelled as he began to follow after Blake, he had to admit this forms mobility options weren't the best. So in order to catch up he shot a fireball forward.
The fireball had managed to crash into Gambol Shroud mid-swing forcing Blake to land on a tree branc. She then chose to jump back towards Adam, spinning in mid-air.
Adam growled as he jumped forward, using his dragon arm to propel himself via fireball as he slashed forward. His plan was to clash with Blake since he figured she'd try to go for deep cuts against him. He had managed to just miss Blake who instead of spinning and slashing had opted for spinning for just a bit longer and slamming both feet into his chest.
Blake quickly spun her Shuriken Starter again as her boots connected, a whirlwind suddenly forming around them.
[MEGATON NINPO!]
A purple whirlwind shot out from Blake's boots, launching Adam backwards as she launched herself further away. She soon shot out of the forest and landed, sliding back before stopping. She had managed to find herself on a natural stone bridge in front of a waterfall.
"Okay… now where…" Blake began to look around before quickly dodging out of the way, a fireball being sent her way. "No way…"
"Don't you dare think you can get away that easily!" Adam called out as he launched out of the forest and landed across from Blake.
Blake only narrowed her eyes behind her helmet as she drew out her sheathe, shifting her weapon back into its katana form. She had an idea of how to end this but needed to play this smart.
Both Another Rider and Rider rushed forward, the two slashing at each other in rapid succession. Adam had tried to catch Blake off guard with a fireball, only for her to use Shadow to end up at his side. He aimed and stabbed forward only for his weapon to get caught in her sheathe.
Blake quickly threw her sheathe to the side, shifting her katana to its gun mode and firing several times against Adam's gut. Sparks flew as the Another Rider staggered back, Blake rushing in and slashing against his chest only to receive a fireball to the face.
Adam growled, "I wouldn't have to be doing this if you just behaved!"
Blake had gotten dazed by the fireball and was struck in the chest by another, sending her tumbling back. The second hit had managed to knock some sense into her, quickly shifting her direction and landing in front of the sheathed Wilt.
"But you're SELFISH!" Adam called out as he jumped up and rained down small bursts of fire from his dragon headed left hand.
The Rider gripped the sheathed Wilt before dodging to the side, throwing it to another corner of the bridge.
"You're a COWARD!" Adam yelled out as he landed and rushed forward, fire filling his dragon headed hand as he closed in.
"And you're delusional…!" Blake called out as she spread her arms out, the release of fire from Adam's attack engulfing her only for her armored form to fade into thin air.
Adam stopped in surprise before turning.
[FINISH NINPO!]
Blake was right behind him charging, slashing past him once with both her Gambol Shroud and Ninjato, both weapons glowing with power. Pressing her hands together she turned, gripping both with both hands before slashing past Adam once more.
The tyrannical Faunus turned Another Rider could only fall to his knees as the fully charged attacks overtook him. He just barely turned, fire gathering as he launched it out. Blake had spun into the air, holding both blades in a reverse grip before unleashing a cross slash of energy towards Adam.
The fire had just barely held the attack back before both slashes of energy cut through it and crashed into Adam. He gave a yell as his form sparked, sending him staggering and tumbling backwards as it broke apart, the Anotherwatch rolling away from him but only split in half instead of shattering completely.
In a twisted sense of luck, Adam had also ended up rolling back near where the sheathed Wilt had been. He gave a groan as he rolled, soon seeing it as his eyes widened behind his blindfold.
"Adam… stop this now," Blake said as she slowly approached, the adrenaline fueling her so much that she had forgotten just where Adam had landed.
"You… idiot," Adam gasped out as he gripped his sword, turning and unleashing a red energy wave from what had been built up in his sword.
Blake's eyes widened as she barely had a chance to defend herself, her weapons being thrown to the side as sparks filled the front of her suit. She screamed out as an explosion occurred, sending her reeling backwards onto the ground, losing her transformation.
"I told you we were even," Adam stood up, grabbing the cleaver sheathe before tossing it to the side. Without an immediate other word, he began walking towards Blake.
Blake could only groan as she managed to just barely lift herself up, trying to catch her breath as she saw him approach.
"People hurt me long before we met… all sorts of people in all sorts of ways…" Adam explained with a slight tremble in his voice as he removed his blindfold for Blake to see. On his right side was a perfectly healthy blue eye, his left eye however was bloodshot with a blank white pupil, permanent scarring with the brand labeled as 'SDC'. "…but no one hurt me quite like you…"
Blake could only look away for a bit as he continued to speak, glancing back every now and again.
"You didn't just leave scars, you just left me alone," Adam continued.
Blake could only feel her ears twitch as she heard the distant sound of a motorcycle coming, there were four options now. But she had a feeling she knew who exactly was coming. She had to keep from fully turning her head as her eyes widened.
"So… tell me, Blake…" Adam trailed as he shifted his sword into a reverse grip, aiming for a stab. "How does it feel to be alone?"
Silence was Blake's answer as she continued to hear the sound getting closer and closer.
Adam could only yell out and stab down, seemingly stabbing Blake right in her abdomen. Blake seemed to react only for her form to fade a few seconds later. Adam's eyes widened as he turned when he heard a noise.
Blake held her stomach briefly as she picked up her cleaver sheath, it being the closest weapon as she had used Shadow to dodge to the side. "I'm not alone."
Suddenly from above the waterfall, the familiar sight of Yang on Bumblebee appeared, driving off the cliff and hurling her motorcycle forward. In an instant it crashed into Adam, knocking him down and sending him tumbling back while the motorcycle itself fell into the river below.
Yang landed next, managing to get a few feet in front of Blake as she stared down Adam.
Adam stared in surprise, "You…" He quickly raised Wilt to block a shot from Ember Celica.
"Yang!" Blake called before gasping and falling to her knee as she held her stomach in pain.
"It's okay," Yang reassured, glancing to the side and seeing the split in two Anotherwatch. She already put together what likely happened and realized she wouldn't be in for hell thanks to Blake. "Catch your breath for a second. I can hold him off."
"She's right, Blake." Adam answered in an almost taunting voice. "It's okay, we have… unfinished business."
Adam and Yang stared each other down as Adam shifted before suddenly launching forward, delivering a series of quick slashes. He was going so fast alongside using his Semblance he created black and red accented clones that lashed out at Yang.
Yang could only raise her arms and block as best she could, skidding back from the constant barrage.
Adam unleashed an arcing slash via his Semblance before sending Wilt spinning at Yang like a buzzsaw.
The blonde brawler barely sidestepped to avoid it before blocking against the spinning blade, pushing it back only for Adam to jump and kick it back at her. Yang quickly punched it down to embed it into the ground to try and slow Adam down.
Adam however kept going freeing his blade and slashing forward in a reverse grip to force Yang from coming closer. She had flipped backwards and managing to land an explosive shot against him when he was open. The Faunus tyrant decided to switch up tactics, sheathing his blade and going for quick and powerful slashes against his opponent.
Yang had chosen to block each of the hits, unaware that her Aura began to grow stronger as it flickered but not in the usual damaged way. Adam assumed he was getting somewhere while Blake's eyes widened at this occurrence.
Yang had skidded back from the hits before rushing in with both arms raised. She approached only to duck and weave beneath Adam's subsequent slashes, soon managing to land a punch to his side and gut before performing an uppercut. Jumping up with him she had kicked out to send him backwards.
Adam landed and rushed in, aiming a slash only for Yang to grab his swinging arm by his prosthetic, raising it up as she delivered several blows with her left arm before kicking him in the gut, punching him away with a clean hit to the face.
The huntress in training went further on the offensive, though Adam slowly but surely started to keep pace again. One hit was got in before Adam managed to block, holding his sheath out with his sword somewhat sticking out of it as Yang punched like a madwoman, delivering a machinegun-like series of punches against it. She reeled back before punching again, managing to send Adam skidding back.
Charging in Yang jumped and launched forward via her prosthetics shotgun. Her aura flared further as she landed on a raised Wilt with left boot before spinning and kicking with her other leg, reaching past the sword and slamming it into Adam's head. Not letting up she began launching shotgun shell after shotgun shell at long range.
Adam however easily sheathed and re-sheathed his sword as he blocked each hit, Wilt shining a bright red as he moved in. Suddenly the black and red accented clones from earlier trailed behind him, creating afterimages. He went for the classic trick, running around as his clones trailed behind him, managing to go so fast it would make anyone unsure of where he was. He managed to confuse Yang who glanced around rapidly, finding her blind spot he yelled, stabbing down and unleashing a torrent of red energy across the ground.
Yang quickly crossed her arms to block, unknowingly summoning an electrical charge as it helped her brace, skidding backwards from the energy attack. She was a bit surprised that she was barely winded, while the breather was nice she did feel more energetic but chalked it up to adrenaline.
"His Semblance is like yours!" Blake warned. "He absorbs energy through his sword, stores it up and then sends it back when he's ready."
"He gets to dish out damage without having to feel it?" Yang nearly groaned out. "That's just cheap…" She needed to rethink her strategy.
Reeling both arms back she launched herself towards Adam who slashed, quickly launching another blast and twisting her body to avoid it. She managed to spin again via firing her gauntlet and landed a glancing kick against Adam. Using both gauntlet and prosthetic she launched herself downwards to just barely avoid another slash. She then launched herself forward past another retaliating slash from Adam.
Adam turned to see Yang skid off and run in place, using her gauntlets to launch forward and upward. He aimed a shot with his shotgun sheathe hybrid only to miss, Yang managing to land a heavy hit against his face. He gave a few grunts as she landed a few kicks against his thighs and abdomen only to half sheathe Wilt into Blush to block a shotgun blast from Yang, using the absorption of his Semblance to knock her backwards.
Yang gasped out, falling back and tumbling across the ground before managing to stop, getting on her knees as she gritted her teeth.
Adam couldn't help but smile a bit as he managed to force Yang back, sheathing his sword fully and latching Wilt and Blush back onto his belt.
Blake had managed to get on one knee in a defensive manner. She had to wonder how Ruby managed to deal with transformation breaks. Though she was also thankful her armor protected her, as the last Moonslice hit would have likely depleted her Aura had she not been armored.
Yang glanced at Blake, sharing a look with her and wondering if she'd be able to even beat Adam at this rate. Blake was likely still recovering and couldn't transform, and she had yet to obtain a power like Shinobi or Quiz.
Adam couldn't help but see this and grow enraged, letting out an angry growl as the area around them dimmed to an almost blackened state. Black energy with a red outline circled around his feet and began to spike upwards as black electricity with red outlines crackled around him. The only glowing parts on his body were all the red on him, even his hair. With one decisive move he unsheathed Wilt from Blush, it shining a bright red.
Blake looked on in horror as she realized what Adam was going to do, "YANG!"
Yang quickly crossed her arms, her Aura flaring up suddenly, her eyes widening after seeing it shine via her arms. Suddenly that Aura began to pool together into both of her hands.
Adam let out a loud yell as he slashed forward, a massive wave of energy launching out and impacting against the bracing huntress.
Yang had been forced back, her left foot nearly off the ledge of the rock bridge they were standing on. However as the smoke cleared a surprising development had occurred. Pieces of ice began to clatter to the floor as Yang's crossed arms were covered from the front by two large chunks of ice that had been chipped and cracked.
"Ice Dust…" Adam trailed in surprise before seeing electricity crackling through the ice itself. "No… Lightning Dust too?"
"No…" Blake shook her head as she saw the ice crack and shatter, falling to the ground to reveal Yang was holding two new items in her hands. And thanks to the sudden coating of ice Yang had managed to come out unscathed.
"Wrong…" Yang said as in each hand was a yellow golden tool, a spanner in the right, a screwdriver in the left. As if reacting to both tools a blank Ziku Driver appeared strapped to her waist. Instead of using them immediately she dropped her arms and gave a glare, "Leave. Us. Alone. This is your last chance, because you do not want me to use this on you."
Adam stared back and gripped the hilt of his sword, but then he noticed how Yang's left hand trembled. "Do you really believe that?" He nearly chuckled. "Or are you just trying to scare me away so you won't have to die trying to protect her? I beat one of you Riders once, I can do it again."
Yang gave a glare as she was ready to transform, "And I bet it was because of a cheap-"
Blake suddenly took hold of Yang's left hand, keeping a firm grip despite the transformation device held. "She's not protecting me, Adam." She stared directly at him before glancing at Yang. "And I'm not protecting her. We're protecting each other."
"Now then," Yang looked at Blake who gave a nod, letting go of her left hand. Yang soon gripped the tool-like devices, placing the spanner over the screwdriver and creating a cross shape, "Henshin!"
Soon enough she placed them right in the center slot of the Driver, blue electricity crackling around it as it initiated the transformation sequence.
[DEKAI! HAKAI! GOKAI!]
Via digital blue circuit lines mechanical styled armor formed, latching onto Yang before spectral screwdrivers began screwing the armor into place, two spanners turning the helmet screws as well, the bodysuit forming before the yellow-gold coloration fully set in.
[KAMEN RIDER KIKAI!]
The bodysuit this time was not similar to any known Rider, instead having a resemblance to the Guardian Robots that Build would face. It held yellow-golden upper armor and accents, with black armor that held white circuit lines over a black bodysuit. Her helmet was the same yellow-gold with a red visor, two spanners crossing between and separating the visor into two distinct eyes.
Blake couldn't help but look at Yang in surprise, and had to admit that this form suited Yang just like, despite the questionable nature, Quiz fitted Weiss and Shinobi fitted her.
"So just what are you supposed to be?" Adam asked with a glare, "Some kind of bucket of rusted bolts?"
"Didn't you hear the announcement?" Yang asked as she took Blake's hand again. "The name's Kamen Rider Kikai!"
Watching the three combatants from the cliff near the waterfall was the silver clad Woz, giving a maddening grin of delight as he saw the transformation unfold. "And thus the final piece comes into place." His grin dropped as he glanced at the ground near them, the two halves of the broken Ryuki Anotherwatch troubling him. "Something tells me that I may need to get involved…"
A green Smartwatch-like display formed before him, he began swiping through various screens before a green hologram began to take shape and rise up, fully forming. It was a black belt with a green rimmed center screen, three green buttons on the left side with a horizontal blue line between all of them. The right half held a green lever-like device that could be pushed inwards, a Ridewatch slot indented into it.
The silver clad Woz could only smile as he gripped the belt and held it up to view, with everything in place it was time to start securing his plans.
Remnant – Argus, Cliffside
Of course the silver clad Woz wasn't the only watcher who was hiding in the shadows, the black cloaked man had been hiding from a vantage point, watching the entire battle against the Colossus. Of course his delight at the Riders struggling against such a massive opponent was lost once this new occurrence had started.
"Okay I'm tired of the vague terms," Geiz marched over to Ruby. "What is Plan T?"
Cordovin wasn't happy at what had just occurred, even ignoring an incoming call from the Argus Base just to question it, "Just who dared to shoot that missile down?!"
Soon enough two familiar vehicles to the Riders began to come into view, the Zi-O and Geiz Unit Time Mazine's in their vehicle mode.
Ruby pumped her fist into the air, "Plan Time Mazine!"
"How the hell did you get them here?!" Geiz asked in shock.
"No way, no way!" Sougo cheered.
"I borrowed Sougo's phone earlier because I needed Woz to answer for sure," Ruby explained. "I had asked him to try and bring them to Remnant, and it looks like he pulled through."
"Woz actually pulled his weight huh?" Geiz asked.
"He really did that?" Sougo asked.
"Yeah, he did it for you," Ruby gave a nod. "I know you aren't on the best terms with him right now given… you know, but I figured we could use his help."
"Well… I need to thank him after this," Sougo admitted before scratching his helmet. "But um… shouldn't he have only been able to bring one?"
"Wait…" Ruby trailed before realizing what Sougo meant. "You're right, how are both Units here?"
"Your cavalry has arrived!" Sento called through the Geiz Unit's intercom unit, soon transforming the Time Mazine into its warrior mode, revealing it to be a Build Unit via the Build Ridewatch head.
Ruby and Sougo were in shock, "Sento?!"
"I hope we're not too late," A familiar voice called that wasn't Woz's, the Zi-O Unit speaking up as it transformed into its warrior mode.
Ruby and Sougo's hearts skipped a beat when they heard the second voice before seeing the warrior mode. "No way…"
The Units head was that of the Kuuga Ridewatch, revealing it to be a Kuuga Unit, it using the boosters on the bottom of its feet alongside the other Time Mazine to stay in mid-air.
Ruby and Sougo looked at each other before looking back at the Time Mazines, "GODAI!"

Chapter 31: The Power of Kamen Riders
Author's Note: Bit of a shorter chapter this time but I figured this would be the best amount of stuff to put in it. Now some things are already starting to be a bit different thanks to the added stuff, everyone not taking as many heavy hits as they should, Blake not losing her coat or breaking Gambol Shroud, and heck even Yang's prosthetic is fine and not damaged. Speaking of Yang though, she's our Kikai, while Penny does fit the qualifications pretty well… I figured Yang would fit just as nicely. I mostly matched WBY to the colors and styles that each Mirai Rider used. Blake with purple and a ninja theme, Weiss gets a Rider with blue, red, and is more tactical, while Yang gets a yellow mechanical close combat Rider.
One of the original ideas I had but don't think I mentioned to keep their transformations into the Mirai Riders from being guessed was them being full length modified/kitbashed canon Riders. One example would be Yang as a modified Cross-Z or Weiss possibly being a modified Brave. This ended up falling through when I realized I really shouldn't have more than five Riders in the main story. Given Zi-O's canon cast gets up to four Main Riders, add Ruby into the mix, and that's five. I'd rather only have to deal with a sizeable amount of Riders which is why WBY is getting the Mirai Riders.
Now then, with Yang fully armed as a Rider, White Woz ready to make his move, and our mysterious watcher also getting antsy, things are starting to escalate for this finale. Especially since the Time Mazines are here and with familiar faces piloting them! But I suppose I rambled enough, thanks for reading and I'll see you guys for the next chapter.
