Thanks to CanadianAwesomeness and Toriko Rissa for reviewing.

Sorry. I'm currently in France for an assistantship position, and haven't had access to wi-fi until now. I'm going to post Enough in a bit, and for those reading Ve, We Totally Fooled You… I'm sorry! I've been busy and have a mild writer's block with that story, so it isn't ready. But as soon as I finished it (and have wi-fi again), it's going up.

On that note, updates might be irregular for a while. Just so you know.

Disclaimer: I don't own Hetalia.

EngLith: Lethal Chef

"I hope you like it," Toris said, placing the plate down in front of Arthur.

Arthur smiled, and the two of them tucked in, but something was worrying the Brit. Toris was always the one that cooked, and Arthur felt guilty that he couldn't do something like that as well. But Toris always insisted that it was fine. That he had no trouble cooking.

But Arthur wanted to surprise his boyfriend. Making a decision, he vowed that the next day, he would be the one to cook.

When Toris arrived home, it was to the scent of smoke. At first he thought that there was a fire, before another, more horrifying thought occurred to him, and he quickly made his way to the kitchen.

Sure enough, he found Arthur there, smoke hanging in the air as he tried to salvage what looked like charcoal.

"Arthur?!" Toris exclaimed, making his way to the other. "What were you doing?"

"I'm sorry," Arthur said, and he sounded close to tears. "You're always the one cooking, and I thought that I'd surprise you for once, but nothing went right, and…"

Toris sighed, wrapping Arthur in a hug.

"It's okay," he said. "I'm not mad. But… I really don't mind doing all the cooking. Let's open up a few windows, turn everything off, and maybe go out to eat?"

Arthur nodded his head, looking miserable. Toris made a mental note to get the other something to drink as well.

The prompt is: 'Person A is a great cook, but Person B rarely cooks. To surprise them, Person B tries to make them something. Emphasis on tries.'
