CzeGre: Playlist

Clara sighed, plopping down in front of the computer. It's been a long day, and she just wanted to relax.

She glanced towards her arm, seeing that her soulmate was listening to a pop song. She entered her blog and typed the song. A few minutes later, the song was in another language, but she typed it as well. And the next song was classical. Typed it as well.

She had a YouTube tab open, and would occasionally enter the name of the song that her soulmate was listening to. She was curious, but she couldn't imagine the songs being connected in any way.

Knowing this… she was even more curious to meet him.

That was why she had started the blog, in the hopes of her soulmate would stumble on the blog and see that the songs he was listening to were listed. It was the only thing she could think of.

Heracles sat in front of his computer, his iTunes playlist playing. He was simply browsing through blogs, looking for one that sounded interesting.

He saw one that looked promising, and clicked onto it. The blog was called 'SoulSounds', and the blogger apparently used it to post the songs their soulmate was listening to, commenting on the songs as well.

Out of curiosity, he went to the latest post, frowning at the song choice.

Evanescence – All That I'm Living For. How the HELL do you go from Vivaldi to THIS?

Heracles frowned, and he noticed that the song that he was listening to at the moment was the same one in the post. It was just a coincidence, right?

But then he backtracked a little, seeing that the previous song was Vivaldi. And the previous song was also on the blog. And the one before that.

Out of curiosity, Heracles chose a random song. One that was a far cry from what he had been listening to. He waited a minute or so for the next post.

Faun – Tanz Mit Mir. Sounds like Germany and Ireland had a baby.

Heracles chuckled, before opening up private messaging. He typed in the next five songs of his playlist, before sending it to the blogger. The other didn't respond, until the fifth song played.

OMG!

Heracles smiled, and the two spent the rest of the evening getting to know each other.

The prompt is: 'Soulmate AU where instead of a countdown or whatever on their arm, it says what song the other is listening to.' There are other options for this prompt, but what I used instead was a conversation my dad had with a friend, where he explained that I put music on his flash drive to listen to in his car. The other commented "a playlist of her music should be interesting," and my dad said "you have no idea." And when we drove back, I took notice of a few songs: the French translation of an Afrikaans song, followed by the Spanish translation of an Afrikaans song (there are two CDs: Afrifrans and Afrispaans), to Evanescence, to Vivaldi. And before that, Le Bien Qui Fait Mal from Mozart l'Opéra Rock to ABBA.
