Chapter 3:

The oven timer rang as the meat pie was already baked. Usagi put on her oven mitts, and took the meat pie out from the oven.

"Seems, alright?" Usagi said as she stared at the meat pie.

The pie is small, the bottom left and the right have a large portion of meat, the meat inside is deep brown.

"Can I have a bite?" Luna asked.

"Let me cut for you."

Usagi then sliced a piece of meat pie and gave to the cat.

Luna then ate the pie.

"How's the taste Luna?"

"The crust is a bit soft, but the meat itself is well-baked."

"Soft?"

"Is still edible to eat though, I'm sure Mamoru san would like this."

"If that's the case, then I'll bake more!"

A few hours later, Mamoru was reading his newspaper at his house, he is reading the entertainment category.

Usagi rung the doorbell and she got inside his house.

"Mamo-chan, are you good?"

"I'm good, I missed my house for a long time."

"Look what I bought you."

Usagi then took the pie out of her backpack, it was the meat pie that she made a few hours ago.

"What is this, Usako? For me?" Mamoru asked, putting down the newspaper.

"Yep, Here!"

Mamoru puts his newspaper as he opened the lid of the container.

"Meat pie?"

"Of course, when we were eating dinner, I heard that you would like to eat meat pies, and you missed the taste."

"This meat pie is alright, and delicious."

"But your expression tells me that you don't like this."

"No, it's taste delicious, the meat is well-cooked. Your baking skills really improved these days."

"Did you just compliment me?"

"The last time you baked cookies with the girls right, you overbaked the cookies. But now, you didn't overbake the pie."

"Does your expression means that it didn't match the taste that you tried in America?"

"This pie is from you, Usako. I know you very well. You don't have to use your time to make pies for me. Even though is not the same taste as I tried a few years ago, I still appreciate the taste."

"I just feel like you are not satisfied."

"I really don't mind, I can use my money and buy the pies from outside, and do you remember Reika?"

"Reika? I know her, why?"

"I can ask her to bake pies for me."

"Since when Reika is close to Mamo-chan? How can I let her win myself for Mamo-chan's satisfaction to pies? I must win."

"I didn't even know Reika knows baking?"

"Well, because she watched a lot of baking videos, and she said she wanted to try some new stuff. We studied from the same country, but from a different school. We first met when I went to the park."

"Trying new stuff can improve oneself. I like her attitude." Usagi smiled.

"Anyway, I cooked you food, Let's eat." Mamoru said.

A few days later, Usagi met with Motoki in the plaza.

"Motoki san!"

"Usagi, I didn't know you would find me this morning, what's up?"

"I have some pies for you to eat."

Usagi opened the container, as it revealed some small chunks of pies.

"That's a lot of pies, which is which?"

"Are they all for me?"

"Just try it!"

Motoki then tried almost all of the pies.

"Any difference?"

"Nope, But those pies are very delicious."

Usagi's heart drops after she heard what he said.

"Oh no….."

"What happened, Usagi?"

"If I continue make pies like this, would mamo-chan be angry with me?"

"You got to be kidding me, Usagi. How would Mamoru do that to you?"

"He gets angry easily, the one-time he said to I'm not a pair with him, and he broke up with me."

"It's just a pie. How would he do like that to you?"

"He wants the taste in America, My work on making pies does not give his satisfaction, I feel bad."

"You don't have to feel bad, You really improved a lot."

"If I screw up again, Mamo-chan would leave me, and the two of us would break up, and I failed myself as a family member of the Tsukino Household!" Usagi said as she ruffled her hair.

"You're not making sense, Usagi chan. I never heard a couple broke up because of not fulfilling the needs of a food." Motoki said.

"Mamo-chan's thoughts are very hard to know, Motoki san, I was really worried about it."

"There has to be a way….."

Motoki thought for a while as he remembered how to make the pie delicious.

"I remember one of the staff from the bakery, he said you must buy some American yeast, and you must cultivate it. Probably this is the reason why Mamoru said the taste does not match the ones that you bake."

"Cultivating the yeast?"

"You can try it."

"Thanks, Motoki."
