Spamerica: Get Up and Go
"Alfred, while I like the idea of you wanting to go on a walk with me," Antonio said, "this is not what I had in mind."
Alfred looked up from his phone screen to regard Antonio.
"What do you mean?" Alfred asked.
"You should stop staring at the screen and actually look at your surroundings," Antonio said.
"But if I did that, then I'll miss the Pokémon."
Antonio sighed. The fact that Alfred needed that app in order to go for a walk with him… Well, it was good motivation.
"Why am I even here?" Antonio asked.
"Because we could use this as an opportunity to spend time together," Alfred said. "Ooh, Eevee!"
"We could have done it without the phone."
"But then we could just do something instead of walking."
Antonio sighed. It was annoying when Alfred would often stop to catch a Pokémon or spin a Pokéstop. Antonio didn't admit that he had also played the app when it first came out, but he'd lost his interest pretty soon.
"Hey, shiny!" Alfred exclaimed.
Antonio leaned closer and saw a yellow Growlithe instead of orange. That was certainly interesting.
"You should play this too," Alfred said. "It's fun. And we can be on the same team. Valour all the way!"
Antonio rolled his eyes. He wondered what Alfred would say if Antonio revealed that, back when he played, he was part of Team Instinct.
I started properly playing Pokémon Go again two months ago, mostly because my network provider kept sending me free data that I wouldn't have otherwise used. Oh well, at least I get exercise.
I chose Valour for America because he values courage and bravery, traits of a hero. Spain is someone that does what he wants without thinking things through and lives in the moment, which suits Instinct. I'm Mystic myself.
