SebHutt: Intrigue
Hutt River noticed that there was a bunch of people in his place. He recognised Wy, his little sister. The others were strangers, but the fact that they were with Wy made him wonder if they were perhaps micronations as well. He wanted to find out, especially about the taller one with the strange curl.
When he heard that Wy was intending to leave, he decided to make his move.
"Why don't you at least say hello before you go?" Hutt River asked.
The small one appeared happy to see him, but the other tall one – the one he wasn't interested in – appeared to be hostile. He invited them into his house, saying how much the visa cost.
"Oh no, don't worry about us," the one that intrigued him said. He had a strange accent, which Hutt decided he rather liked. "We'll be fine in the sunshine."
"You should become a member of our group," the small one said. "That way you get to be friends with us."
"Oh, crikey," Hutt River said, though he was a bit sarcastic. "Seems these people wish to be friends with me. Normally I wouldn't even speak with someone from the lower Escalon. But still, one can't have too many mates. I shall think about it."
He was a bit dramatic, but he didn't want them to think that he was desperate or anything. Especially since only one of them really piqued his interest. And he hoped that he managed to impress them a bit.
The other three had a few comments to share, but the interesting one kept silent. Hutt was a bit disappointed that all he could do was smile. But the small one had said that he should make up his mind for next time. And if the interesting one was with them, then he would definitely consider the offer.
"By the way, I never caught your names," Hutt River said. "I already know Wy, but what about the rest of you?"
"Oh, I guess you're right," the interesting one said. "Well, this is Sealand, Molossia, and I'm Seborga."
Seborga. He would have to remember that.
After bidding them adieu, he made his way to his computer. He had some research to do.
…
"It's a shame about Hutt River," Sealand said.
"Well, I say 'good riddance'," Wy said. "We wouldn't want him to join our group anyway."
"I'm with you on that," Molossia said.
"I don't know about that," Seborga said. "He seemed a bit dramatic, but then again, he was a lot like France. And besides, if he was a girl, I'd say that he would be smoking hot."
"Do you honestly think of nothing else besides girls?"
"I can't help it. I'm Italian. Ooh, but Grandpa Rome did say that it was nice to experiment once in a while."
"Gah! I don't want to hear that!"
"Experiment with what?" Sealand asked innocently.
"I don't think I want to know," Wy said, a disturbed look on her face.
…
Hutt River had a mug of coffee at the ready as he read up on Seborga. He was a bit surprised to learn that he was older than him. He was also pretty developed, considering he was a town in Europe. And it looked like he had an actual chance of being recognised.
He didn't know what attracted him about Seborga, but he certainly wouldn't mind finding out. And when Sealand came by again to invite him, he decided to accept the offer.
