Full Summery on first chapter. This is a story where Harry and Ron abandon Hermione after the war. Hermione suffering and struggling to heal after the death of her parents and abandonment by her friends gets help and perhaps love in the unlikeliest of places. 4. 1st October 1998

"Draco you cannot be serious," Pansy asked staring at him in disbelief.

"I am serious, I've given this a lot of thought since the Minister offered me the position and I'm accepting it, I think I will be good at it," he told his former girlfriend.

"You think you will be good at rounding up our former comrades, your own father," Theo asked sarcastically.

"I caught Rockwood," he told them.

"By chance Draco, you caught him by chance," Daphne told him.

"I need a purpose, I need that chapter of my life to be over," he told them.

"Why not take up your family's seat on the Wizengamot or become a healer," Blaise asked him.

"We will never be truly safe until the remaining Death Eaters are rounded up; I want to help capture them; change the public perception of me," he told his friend's.

"The mark on your arm isn't who you are," Daphne told him firmly.

"No, it isn't but that's what many people see when they look at me," he told them unhappily.
