Waking up Naruto opened his eyes blinking the sleepiness away yawning. As he slowly came to awareness he felt far more relaxed than he had in a while.

Not that it was a very high bar to reach but still it was worth noting he felt far too comfortable in his position.

Looking down at the pressure on his chest he saw a hand trying its best to constrict him, stopping any and all movement.

Looking down at his own body he could only thank whatever god was out there that he woke up first.

'Stupid Hormones' he thought immediately deciding escape was needed. Otherwise the disaster that would ensue would be of biblical proportions.

Forming a single sign he quietly exchanged places with a pillow using chakra to avoid making any commotion. He never appreciated the substitution jutsu like he did today.

Taking a glance at her sleeping form he focused a bit on her admiring a bit before slowly heading towards the door before he paused.

Looking down and then to the bathroom he thought ' She wont mind if I take a quick shower right? '

Leaving silently hair dripping wet and completely calmed down, he walked the halls his feet not making a single sound as he intentionally muffled the sound.

Coming up he saw a maid carrying clothing flinching at the sight of him like a startled deer.

"Hey, hey, no need to get so nervous. What's your name?" He said when he saw her looking paling. A rather skittish little thing she was wasn't she?

"This one is Nelly Young Master!" the nervous maid now named Nelly shouted.

She couldn't help it! It was all the servants were talking about! The Queen's new consort and he was standing right in front of her!

No one had a clue who he was but they were sure he was some kind of powerful creature they could not offend.

"Shhh! Mina is still sleeping" Naruto immediately began shushing her loudly. Goodness did she have no tact?

Sweatdropping at the fact that he was louder than her a stray thought hit her

'How did he know the Princess was sleeping? Are the rumors true?!' She gulped feeling the red creep onto her cheeks.

"Do you know somewhere a guy can eat around here? I'm starving!" Naruto held his stomach in exaggeration feeling it start to grumble in discontent.

He wasn't lying he was way too hungry.

The Vampire maid held back her giggle barely as she nodded asking him to follow her as she brought him through the halls.

Coming upon the storage room she went in to find something befitting his taste

Coming out of the room she gave him a blood pack looking expectantly at him.

Naruto looked at the blood pack in deep and utter confusion " The heck am I supposed to do with this?"

"Is type O blood not to your liking?" Nelly said tilting her head. It was always a safe choice when feeding a vampire.

Remembering where he was, he touched his forehead in deep pain at his foolishness before saying, " I'm not a vampire. Sorry I didn't tell you."

Definitely his fault that they wasted so much time. He really needed to keep his head out of the clouds.

Realization dawned on her face.'He isn't a vampire? Then what could he be I wonder?'

At the new knowledge she brought him to the serving area asking him to wait as she prepared something for him.

Coming back with breakfast she served him saying "Please enjoy the meal."

Naruto thanking her quickly dug in before stopping his mouth filled with food slowly chewing swallowing it painfully.

'Dear god this is awful' He nearly retched.

Quickly drinking the water he turned to her saying "Who in the world made that?! And why was it so salty?!"

Were they trying to assasinate him or something? They near damn succeed then.

A rain cloud over her head she said "I did and I haven't made human food before so I couldn't tell the proper measurements. The others maids are also out so they wouldn't be able to help. "

Looking at her feeling he was to harsh he said "Why didn't you just taste it?"

Seemed kinda obvious to him really.

Nelly couldn't help but look at him in deep confusion "Sir vampires can't taste anything expect blood didn't you know?"

She thought everyone would have known by know really.

'I did not know at all!' He thought with wide eyes looking aghast at the thought someone couldn't taste food let alone so many people!

He couldn't even begin to understand never tasting anything ever.

"Then does that mean Mina too?!" he said looking wide eyed as he gulped in fear for his friend.

Looking uncomfortable at his familiar address for the princess she said " Yes the princ-"

"The princess what exactly? Telling stories about me to our guest hmm?" Mina arrived, walking in having changed into a plain white knee long dress and for some reason had no shoes on.

Mina's face scrunched looking bewtween the two not liking what she was seeing as she bared her fangs instinctively out of Naruto's sight.

'Is she making a move on what is mine?!'

The now fearful maid was about to explain before being interrupted. Or rather saved.

"Mina is it true you've never tasted anything but blood before!?" Naruto was still in disbelief as he looked back at her just in time for her to retract her fangs.

Looking at him in confusion she nodded slowly as she aproached him.

Naruto could only look down blankly thinking ' She's never tasted ramen?! That will have to change!'

Looking over his shoulder at the plate of food to him she put the situation together . " So you were hungry? You need food to sustain yourself Naruto?" She dismissed the maid as she leaned over his shoulder enjoying the contact.

"Yep. All Human I'm afraid." Naruto said nodding before asking "By the way I've never introduced myself to you yet have I? Properly anyway."

"Neither have I to you." She said looking down at him in amusement long thinking they were past such things.

After what he showed her yesterday she now had confidence to say he at the very least liked her. Now how much he did was a true mystery.

'Not for long'

Getting up he did so saying " My name is Uzumaki Naruto. Son of Kushina Uzumaki and Minato Namikaze."

Turning to him she said " I was bestowed the name Mina Țepeș by my mother Lucretia Țepeș"

Shaking hands looking at each other seriously they both broke into laughs at the silliness.

Of course it couldn't last for long as her most trusted Veratos came to deliver bad no catastrophic news.

"Princess? Are you escaping your paperwork duties again?" Vera's face was covered in exasperation as she looked towards her and a unidentifiable emotion to Naruto.

'So this is the young man who whisked away our little princess? I would like to see what attracted her to him but..' She glanced at the Vampire Queen having caught the giggles before she arrived.

'That would not end well at all.'

Flinching cursing paperwork under her breath knowing she still had responsibilities she looked at Naruto in longing saying "I'll be back later today hopefully. Please wait for me Naruto." before being shuffled off to her office in depression.

Scratching his head, he looked around at the empty room before deciding he needed to get some food because no friend of his was going to go their entire life, not tasting anything, especially ramen!

"Ahhh~ Finally!" Mina said stretching out the kinks from sitting so long. Her legs had nearly gone numb!

Usually it was just a mind-numbing task but now it felt like it was taking precious time away from her.

She knew it was the effect of a certain Uzumaki.

Vera smilling at the childish act, frowned knowing exactly what was coming next. Her Princess was predictable when it came to her wants afterall.

"Now I can spend time with my favorite blonde " Mina gave Vera a stink eye as if daring her to object.

"About that princess..." Vera trailed off. Now how to break the news to her?

Mina sitting up quickly at the familiar feeling of dread said "What?!"

"...Mr. Uzumaki has left the Bund stating he needed to get 'supplies'. Akira tried to stop him but he was adamant so he could only follow" She said ripping the bandage off. She decided it was better to not delay it.

Taking a deep breath calming herself Mina pulled out her phone with shaking hands quickly pressing the numbers ignoring the crack that just appeared.

Quickly pulling out her phone Mina called Akira as she spoke in a very calm voice " Akira is Naruto with you?!"

Why couldn't this silly blonde just stay put?!

Akira holding multiple bags sat down looking exhausted.

He could feel his wallet get smaller seeing the blonde devour massive amounts of ramen without stopping or a hint of care.

" He's right here princess do you want to talk with him?"

'And save my bank account?!' He nearly cried out at the unfairness.

Getting confirmation he walked to the wallet consuming demon shoving him the phone saying "Its the princess " hoping he got scolded. It would only be right.

"Naruto! What are you doing going out?! Didn't you promise me yesterday?! You promised!" Mina immediately accosted the willy blonde teenager.

Naruto winced a bit at the dig" Now listen Mina you couldn't expect me to have been waiting for you all day really? I have needs you know?"

Mina was about to tell him' yes that was exactly what she wanted !' before pausing quickly. She couldn't let herself ruin their relationship because she lacked restraint.

'We just met again for but a day. While I know he likes me I dont know to what extent. If I act too possessive and give in to my baser desires too quickly I may push him away. That can not happen! I need to deescalate this quickly.'

Breathing in and out audibly in the phone she apologized saying " I'm sorry Naruto. Its just I felt... I thought you left me again I'm sorry." She could only speak her true thoughts at this point.

Naruto was silent for a minute internally slapping his head at doing it again before saying " It's alright Mina, I know you had issues with how I left last time and it looked like I did it again so don't apologize. Actually I went out to get a gift for you yknow!" he said changing the subject hoping to brighten her mood.

Mina blinked saying "A present for me? Really?!" She said happy knowing he was thinking of her the entire time he was out.

"Yep, and I'm pretty sure that it'll top the other ones as well," He said with a sly smile, anticipating her her shocked face, not getting enough of those cute expressions. Especially those tiny fangs .

"Well what are you waiting for?! Hurry get back! I'm awaiting your arrival!" Mina hung up not giving him any time to refuse her wanting him to come hom- to the Bund quickly.

Turning to Vera a wide fanged smile she said "Did you hear? He was thinking of me while he was out!" She puffed her chest in happiness eyes twinkling.

Vera with a smile said "I heard quite well. It would seem Mr.Uzumaki is quite the thoughtful person. Speaking of gifts however did you not say you would be getting him one aswell?"

Mina froze out of her jubilation turning pale when she realized she was essentially a glorified gold digger.

"But Vera, what can I do to show how much I appreciate him? Especially during this busy time with the opening of The Bund and the many problems we have to solve now?"

She wasn't actually asking a question for it be answered but just letting her inner thoughts out as she tried to figure out what to get. She never actually had to get someone a gift now that she thought about it.

Vera looked at her queen knowing she had never been in a situation like this before.

"I can't answer that as I don't know him however what I do know? I know that gestures of appreciation to the ones we love are not judged by how extravagant or expensive they are but the sincerity we show."

Some pink dusting her cheeks at Naruto being referred to as her loved one, she nodded strongly once taking in the advice feeling it made sense.

She thought on the subject quite some time still not coming up with anything even when Naruto arrived back to The Bund.

Walking through the bund towards the Princess' residence Akira had a thought.

"Hey you used my money to buy these things doesn't that mean I bought the princess these gifts?" It made sense to him really.

Naruto picking his ear said " Did you say something?"

Akira about to reiterate stopped sighing instead asking "How did you meet the princess?" Curious on how the relationship formed.

Naruto tilited his head" Well it was about 7 years ago and she was sad so I told her a story to cheer her up."

Akira waiting for the rest looked at him in confusion when he said nothing. " That's it?"

Nodding Naruto smiled his hands behind his head thinking ' Well that's all you need to know anyway.'

There was no need for anyone to know the intimate details. He himself didn't realize he didn't want to share it either. Happy to have the secret to himself.

"... Weird" Akira said after contemplating a bit.

Naruto shrugged not really thinking so but didn't vocalize it.

Reaching the door the guards opening it Naruto took the bags from Akira walking in Mina's home what he now knew was the Central Administration District building the tallest building in the Bund.

Breaking off leaving him to his duties Naruto punched in the highest floor on the elevator going up.

The elevator stopping prematurely with a gang of well dressed fellows entering.

'Looks like trouble. 'He thought not saying anything hoping they would just leave him alone.

No dice of course as the oldest among them whom hit the top floor button narrowed his eyes towards the him as if immediately recognizing him.

"So you're the one who I heard the Princess has become smitten with?!" He said his nostrils flaring.

"I am Jeneua, Lord of Dermaille the greatest servant of the royal house and I will not have a unknown low bred hooligan consorting with the royal line of Țepeș!" He said spitting, his rage getting the better of him immediately throwing a hand at the child's neck griping it lifting him off the ground.

"Now listen here you scum! Out of consideration of the Queen and you gaining her favor I will allow you to remove yourself from the situation willingly without harm. Do you understand me boy?" He didn't go any further knowing harming the Queen's consort was out of the question but if he willingy left he could not be blamed.

Naruto listening giving him the benefit of doubt at first slowly got fed up hearing this man try to separate him from his friend.

He took a hold of the arm holding him up enhancing himself with chakra before crushing it splattering a bit of blood getting on his face. Hearing the scream Naruto idly thought.

'Eh he's a vampire he'll be okay.'

Screeching in pain the man held his limp arm in terror about to order his men to attack before being kicked out of the open elevator door ... hard!

Being lodged into the wall on the opposite end of the hall infront of all the suprised eyes.

Pulling himself out he landed on all fours. He felt his many bones that were broken slowly healing before he felt his chin being tilted up, as his terrified eyes peered into calm orange ones.

Feeling something wrong he felt his body getting heavier. Looking down he realized his hands and feet had turned to stone the rest of him slowly following.

Screeching in terror for help at the magic killing him struggling fiercely he sought his suprised Queen saying " My Liege save me! "

Mina snapping out of it clearly had to think for a second whether it was worth it before walking to Naruto saying. " Naruto. He probably did something to deserve this but please spare him on account of his past loyalty to me."

Glancing at the soon to be rock she finished "I will properly punish him afterwards rest assured. He will not seek to bother you again."

Jeneua nodding frantically in terror of his immortal life ending his face turning toad like and the stone reaching his chest he said.

"Lord Uzumaki please spare this ignorant fool for his pig headed behavior! I will endeavor to make it up to you with my life!" He immediately began saying blasphemous things in the front of one he already swore his life to.

Naruto looking at him, started pulling back the forceful injection of unbalanced sage chakra reverting him to his previous state.

Smilling he patted his shoulder picking him up with a single hand setting him on his feet as he was caught by his subordinates.

Of course Naruto never had any intention of killing him but he knew these Vampires only spoke one word.

Power!

He had realised if he wanted to stay friends with Mina he couldn't be acting like some powerless human hoping everything turned okay trying to avoid confrontation.

He already observed how he was looked at when they thought him human.

These people clearly needed to know he wouldn't allow himself to be trifled with nor did they have the qualifications to do so.

"I'm glad you accepted our relationship Sir. I've grown very fond of Mina and everyone who accepts is a welcomed friend of mine."

Shivering from the brush of death the man smiled uneasily and in pain at the child's calm stare trying his best to bow as he was carried out by his men out about to evaluate his life choices.

Naruto pouted at Mina, picking her up like a potato sack as he spoke in a mischievous tone raising a eyebrow." You really thought I was going to kill him Mina? I'm hurt. I thought you knew me better than that y'know?"

Rolling her eyes suprised and delighted at his willingness to intiate contact she struggled out of his hold shifting into a princess carry pressing down her dress in a display of modesty she most certainly did not have.

Holding his neck she said " The man was turning into some kind of toad statue! What else was I supposed to think?! You were playing a riveting game of jump rope?!"

"You could have had some faith in me?!"

"Ah yes! I'll remember that the next time you turn someone to stone!"

Vera who had been there the entire time quite and Akira who took the stairs looked at the rapidly disappearing arguing Vampire and Human duo in fear thinking the exact same thing.

'Did I see that right?!'

"So what is this present Naruto? I've been waiting for so long!" Mina tried peeking into the bags only to get lightly flicked on the nose with a startled "eek"

"No peeking. Just like last time. " He said with a smile.

"And what do you mean so long? It hasn't even been a day yet!" He snorted at the blatant lie.

Crossing her arms annoyed she was dumped on to her bed like trash.

Blowing up a hair that entered her eye she looked at him with a deadpan saying" Is this how you treat all your lady friends? "

"Nope just you. Didn't I tell you before your my first." He said sweetly completely oblivious to the innuendo pulling out a storage seal he made during the trip.

He could feel the burning look of curiosity and had enough stalling gesturing her to come here.

'Her face is pretty red? Did I say something?' He thought a bit confused at her shying away.

Doing so in confusion she felt his hand landing on her head feeling something hot shoot through her body at the contact.

Naruto channeled chakra already knowing the problem.

She had taste buds. He could tell by checking himself that her brain was properly wired to taste. However, her tongue simple lacked the ability to taste anything other than blood. Her fangs having a unique connection on their own.

Her nose also had the same problem. The nerves completely operational but simply not built towards anything other than blood and a rather mildly diluted abilty of smelling other things.

So using himself as a template taking a bit of himself and most of her he imprinted the perceived 'injury' on her Yang and Yin energy making seem like she was missing something feeling as her rapid healing did the work for him, the sun mark receding unneeded.

Watching with a smile as he sat on the edge of the bed about to watch a good show. Of course he was also watching like a hawk to make sure their were no complications.

Blinking he saw her sniffing rapidly the new scents immediately overwhelming her.

"Naruto? Naruto?! What on earth did you do!" She said looking around in a crazed manner, scared at the new sensations bombarding as she was completely overtaken by the scents .

Naruto said nothing as he left her to figure it out on her own. Though his eyebrows furrowed in silent laughter as he saw her sniffing the bed like a dog.

Following a scent she clearly picked up Mina began crawling towards him in a clearly not deliberate manner.

Shivering as her nose started at his arm all the way to his neck he heard the muffled "What. Did. You. Do." though it came out more like a moan of pleasure.

Telling her to hold that thought he brought a piece of chocolate cake from the bags giving it to her.

Of course instead of eating it though, all she did was sniff it like a weirdo.

'Ugh I've been getting meanier as of late. Or maybe teasing her is just to fun?' Naruto admonished himself in his thoughts but really it was just a bit too funny.

Scratching his head wondering if this back fired he took the spoon scooping a bit before placing it near her mouth.

Watching he saw the mouth opening on instinct from the scent anticipating something good coming.

'Why does this feel so odd ?' Naruto thought putting the spoon in her mouth watching her eyes widening at the taste hurriedly swallowing it.

Pouncing him pushing him down she took the rest of the cake licking the plate clean off. Before looking at him in menance clearly threatening bodily harm if he had no more.

Luckily he was prepared immediately taking out everything he bought from sweets, pastries and ... ramen.

It had to have been atleast 30 minutes when she was done laying on her bed with a slightly bloated stomach groggy.

Naruto looking at her with sage mode felt the food being broken down directly into energy not at all going through the normal phase of digestion instead being absorbed directly into her body.

Looking at her he couldn't help but feel a bit jealous at that.

'What I wouldn't give to...wait can I do that?' Naruto thought wildly. The process was already here for him so why couldn't he try to copy it?!

Mina turning around looking at him with groggy eyes. " Do you know what you've done? "

She herself didn't know how to articulate it. It was just that enormous of a feat.

Naruto shook his head in confusion.

"Vampires are creatures driven by their pleasures, their lust. My kind would happily burn the world and devour it to its last morsel if it guaranteed them some kind of satisfaction in their immortal lives. "She blandly recounted. It had happen many times afterall. It wasn't a exaggeration.

"We don't even truly need to consume human blood as evidence to the fangless who consume normal human food yet we do why? The pleasure and rush we get from finally being able to taste something! Other than sex and mental stimulation its the only thing we have!" She finished, breathing out heavily.

"But you made it so that I can taste just like a regular human, no? Do you even know how big this is, you silly blonde? You basically made an entirely new avenue for us vampires to enjoy life harmlessly. It's an entire world of a different kind of pleasure to experience now. One with nigh infinte possibilities! " she exclaimed tiredly, gesturing for him to come closer.

Doing so he was suprised when she kissed his cheek "You have no clue what this means to a unchanging immortal race...Thank you Naruto." before losing the fight to sleep.

Looking at her rubbing his head he said nothing because there wasn't anything to say.

'Didn't really think it would be that important but in hindsight it makes sense. The right to eat and enjoy ramen is truly something to kill for.'

Getting up he covered her with the sheets before leaving.

Closing the door behind him he scratched his head thinking ' Where am I going to sleep though?'

Mina being awoken by the insepid ringing couldn't help barring her teeth annoyed " Vera? Is it important? "

Vera on the screen monitor apologized saying "Sorry for disturbing your nap Princess however Wolfgang has finsihed his report about the attack on our old temporary residence. Would like to see it later?"

Sighing Mina got up. The duty of a Queen was never done. "Send it through."

Seeing the information appear before her eyes she immediately begun reading it.

Her eyebrows furrowed at what she was seeing, it was a tad unexpected but still within parameters. Afterall only someone with such power could gather a force like that.

" Such a important figure... for them to be orchestrating this mess." Mina swiped the screen away.

"Shall we engage Princess?"

Shaking her head Mina said " Let them dig their graves a bit more. I want to take them all out in one fell swoop. It'll be more satisfying that way" She said her lips twitching. It was all a little game to her at this point.

" As you wish your highness" Vera said apologizing again briefly, before turning off the device.

"Politics" Mina sighed preferring a much more...direct confrontation but alas.

Picking up a unopened mint her cheeks puckering at the taste she thought to herself.

' Now where is my miracle making blonde? '

Jumping to her feet focusing on his scent she followed quickly arriving at a storage closet?

Frowning she opened it her frown, becoming more severe when she saw him sleeping there.

Deciding to wake him up rather than letting him be she shook the sleepy blond awake pulling him towards her room.

Knowing there was no threat nearby Naruto maintained his drowsy state wanting to catch some more sleep as he got pushed into the bed.

Mina crawling in took his arm and put it around her before snuggling taking deep sniffs saying.

"Naruto you are absolutely not permitted to be sleeping in any closets okay? You've done to much for me to be repaid like this. I will assign you a room for yourself tommorow or you will always have a place with me here. You know that."

Nodding tiredly at all the questions and humming in affirmative he didn't quite realise all the things he was agreeing to while drifting off.

Waking up Naruto yawned completely refreshed taking a glance around pausing in shock at the sight of Mina in a state of undress.

Closing his eyes his cheeks hot he said

" Mina why on earth couldn't you do this in the bathroom exactly? "

Mina blinking seeing that he was awake said " Well Naruto, thats because I saw no need, I trust you afterall! Now quickly get dressed for our first day of school."

Naruto's face blanking losing all signs of embarrassment could only say "Huh?"

Pulling up her skirt she said " Dont tell me you forgot what you promised yesterday? "

Naruto blinking thought hard about it but could not for the life of him remember. "Wha - What did I promise exactly?" he said feeling dread.

Mina sensing weakness and opportunity decided to... alter a bit knowing he didnt remember saying " Well I asked you yesterday if you wished to accompany me on some of my endeavors to make the Bund a complete safe haven and you quite happily promised telling me to leave it to the 'Ultra Powerful Naruto Uzumaki Sama~'."

Twirling not minding his suddenly pale face she asked him " How do I look?"

"Pretty Mina, very pretty," Naruto said in despair, wondering how he got roped into going to school and how going to school helped The Bund.

It didn't of course but he didn't know that.

Mina smilling at hearing his compliment, brought him his uniform not minding his cringing away.

Seeing him not moving she said in a delightfully sing song manner " If you don't dress yourself I'll just do it for you Naruto ~."

Not at all minding what she was suggesting having held herself back from her usual shameless antics quite some time to get a read on him slowly pushing his boundaries.

Taking the uniform from the smug little vampire shaking he went to the bathroom lamenting his past self's foolishness.

And the worst part was he knew he did it seeing as how she specifically empathized the word 'Promise'.

Was gonna write more but decided Nah.

Also, surprisingly, vampires in this series dont need blood to survive. Yet they can survive only on blood. I haven't read that far so I hope its not retconed.

And ignore that Naruto healing mumbo jumbo. I myself dont know too much but i do know he healed an entire eye. Thats probably the second most complicated organ right?

So everthing else should be light work.

And yes he goes to school though temporary.
