A/N: I'm going to borrow an element from one of jumbochamploonrules's Sly Cooper stories that has something to do with Clockwerk in general. That being Clockwerk's one surviving eye. Apparently, in Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time, in the fourth episode Clan of the Cave Raccoon, if you unlock one of the safes, there is a treasure you'll be able to unlock, that being one of the Clockwerk eyes that somehow ended up surviving Clockwerk's disintegration at the end of Sly 2. How it managed to survive without Sly, Bentley, Murray or Carmelita Fox knowing about it beforehand is beyond me.

Anyway in jumbochamploonrules's Sly Cooper story titled: Sylvia meets Sly, the main OC human character named Sylvia Martin gets sucked into the world of the Sly Cooper games via a thunderstorm in San Francisco, where she becomes a cat. In one of the chapters of that story, we see Sylvia along with Sly Cooper and the gang battling Clock-La at the ending of Sly 2: Band of Thieves. After Clock-La gets defeated by her and whatnot, Sylvia starts to notice that one of Clockwerk's eyes still survives somehow. The Clockwerk eye then proceeds to attach itself to Sylvia's face with Neyla's soul still in it.

That's the element of jumbochamploonrules's Sly Cooper story that I will attempt to borrow into this story: the whole Clockwerk eye being attached to someone's face part from Chapter 27 of jumbochamploonrules's Sylvia meets Sly story. I will have the same thing that happened to Sylvia in the chapter of jumbochamploonrules's story happen to my OC Harley Keener in this story. I figured that since this remake of Human Clockwerk involves Harley slowly acting and starting to physically transform into Clockwerk, I feel it's only appropiate that the one surviving Clockwerk eye be attached to Harley Keener's face the same way it happened to Sylvia Martin, albeit in a different location than when it originally took place. If jumbochamploonrules could have the Clockwerk Eye attach itself to his main OC's face, why can't I do the exact same thing to Harley Keener in this story.

I just hope that jumbochamploonrules doesn't find out that I stole a element from one of his Sly Cooper stories to use in this story. It's bad enough he hates me. The last thing I need is for jumbochamploonrules to find out that I stole something from one of his stories to use in my story and then for him to find out who I really am in real life and him contacting my parents about my actions toward him. I don't want that to happen. If he does find out that I stole from him, I'll be essentially fucked permanently. That'd be my worst nightmare. I'm hoping that jumbochamploonrules doesn't find out about what I'm about to do. Although, given his animosity and hatred of me, It's likely that he wouldn't know or would want to know about me borrowing material from one of his stories without his permission. Sorry, not sorry, jumbochamploonrules. Your Sly Cooper story basically inspired me to do this.

It had been a couple of weeks since Harley Keener got unwittingly possessed by the immortal being known as Clockwerk. Harley had no memory of him being possesed by Clockwerk. All he could remember was him being with Sly and Carmelita when Clockwerk was finally defeated a couple weeks ago. Harley had to get his injued right human hand amputated. It was soon replaced by a prosthetic bionic hand. Harley now had two cybernetic body parts instead of having just one. He also had electrokinetic powers. Harley was lucky to survive the whole Clockwerk ordeal. He had no idea what happened to him after his hand got crushed by Clockwerk's beak. He couldn't remember anything that transpired after he got injured. All Harley could remember was a bright flash of glowing yellow light obscuring his vision followed by darkness.

Harley had no idea that Clockwerk and Neyla had put their souls into him before they were destroyed forever by Carmelita Fox destroying the microchip that fueled Clockwerk's immortality and prejudice against the Cooper Clan. Sly felt guilty for not destroying Clockwerk's hate chip sooner. He would've stopped Harley from being possessed by the souls of both Neyla and Clockwerk. He hoped that Clockwerk was destroyed forever and that he, nor his friends or Carmelita Fox would never again have to deal with the menace of either Clockwerk or Neyla ever. They would soon learn that not every villain wants to be defeated forever. Even Clockwerk can be reborn again inside another vessel.

It was another quiet night at the Cooper Gang safehouse. Bentley was still recovering from his injuries sustained by Clock-La paralyzing him from the waist down when she crushed his spine. Murray blamed himself for not helping Bentley sooner. Murray was in a dark depression ever since that event. He sometimes would have nightmares about alternate versions of what happened to Bentley and Harley, ranging from Sly's spine being crushed by Clock-La's beak instead of Bentley to Emily dying at the hands of Clock-La (which will happen later on in A Human's Descent into Madness via an alternate reality scenario caused by Harley. I'm not going to spoil what happens, as I have yet to get that far in my story).

Harley was watching TV in the main room of the safehouse. He was starting to get bored with having nothing to do. With Bentley recuperating from his injuries at the hospital, Sly and Murray had decided to put doing heists on hold while Bentley recovered from his injuries. Harley liked being with the Cooper Gang. They felt like a real family to him. A surrogate family. Harley Keener and his little sister Emily have been in the Sly Cooper world for what felt like a very long time. Harley and his sister Emily have been in the Sly Cooper world ever since they witnessed thier mother along with half the entire population of the entire Earth got disintegrated into dust in a unexplainable act of mass genocide. Harley and his sister didn't know when their mother and half the population of Earth would come back or if they would ever return. What if Harley's mother never returned? What if half the population of Earth would remain gone for hundreds of years to come?

Harley decided to clean out Murray's room. It at least gave him something to do to ease the boredom. Murray was cooking something for dinner in the kitchen. Harley got up from the couch and walked toward the hippopotamus cooking dinner. He was going to let him know that him and Emily were planning on cleaning out his room.

"Me and Emily are going to clean out your room, Murray. If you need anything or if Sly wants to know where I am or what I'm doing, feel free to call us." Harley said to Murray.

"Ok. Don't make a mess." Murray reminded Harley. Harley and Emily soon got to work on cleaning out Murray's room organizing things and throwing away trash and things that Murray didn't want anymore. He organized all of Murray's VHS tapes, DVDs, comic books and other miscellaneous things. A few hours into their cleaning, Harley soon encountered a cardboard box that held all of the Clockwerk parts in it. They had every Clockwerk part you could imagine being in there: the Clockwerk Eyes, lungs, stomach, talons and the Clockwerk Wings. It was in the box. It used to be in the box. When the Cooper Gang stole the Clockwerk parts, they used cardboard boxes and airtight suitcases to store the Clockwerk parts in for the time being.

When the Cooper Gang won the Lumberjack Games back in Canada to retrieve the Clockwerk talons, Jean Bison knocked out the Cooper Gang by throwing the talons at them. He and his henchmen ransacked the safehouse and found the Clockwerk parts. Emily tried to defend the Clockwerk parts from Jean Bison's men, but they knocked her out and took her hostage at the sawmill. Jean Bison sold all of the Clockwerk parts to Arpeggio, who then reassembled Clockwerk. Clockwerk was dead now, meaning that the box meant to house almost all of the Clockwerk parts should've have been completely empty.

Harley shook the box to see if there were still any Clockwerk parts that might've survived being disintegrated. To his amazement, he felt something rattling inside the box. Harley used a box cutter to cut open the box to see what was inside the box. What he found inside was astonishing. A single piece of one of the Clockwerk Eyes was inside the box. It was unmistakable. The eye was yellow. It had a metallic eyebrow attached to it. The yellow Clockwerk Eye glowed brightly. Harley was beyond shocked. He thought that all of the Clockwerk parts were all destroyed when Carmelita destroyed the Hate Chip. How could one of Clockwerk's eyes have survived being disintegrated alongside the other Clockwerk parts.

Harley slowly took the single Clockwerk eye out of the box. He looked at it. He couldn't believe that a single part of Clockwerk had somehow managed to survive being destroyed. The eye suddenly jumped itself from Harley's hand and to clamp and attach itself to his right eye, which caused his eye to be in excruciating pain. The eye started attaching itself to his right eye. Harley tried desperately to take the Clockwerk Eye off of his face. He stumbled around wildly in the room, trying to get to the bathroom to look at himself at the mirror. He exited Murray's room and dashed to the bathroom. He locked the bathroom door behind him. Emily watched all of this happening in horror. She was just as shocked as Harley was to find out that a single piece of Clockwerk had somehow managed to survive being permanently destroyed.

Harley flipped on the light switch in the bathroom and looked at himself in the mirror. One of his eyes was normal while the other one was not. His right eye had been taken over by Clockwerk's Eye, while his left eye was okay. He saw the Clockwerk Eye staring back in him. The human boy had a look of horror, bewilderment and shock upon his face. There's no fucking way this is true right now! Harley thought. I gotta be dreaming. Yeah. That's it. This must all be a dream. You're just imagining things. This must be a hallucination. Harley decided to close his eyes to determine if what just happened to him was a dream or not. He opened his eyes after a few minutes. The Clockwerk Eye was still staring back at him.

The Clockwerk Eye was the size of a grapefruit. It was then that Harley realized that what happened to him just now wasn't a dream or a hallucination. Harley really did discover that one of the Clockwerk Eyes had somehow managed to survive being permanently destroyed. That Clockwerk's eye really did attach itself to his face. He wasn't imagining any of this. This was 100% real.

Harley looked at himself in the bathroom mirror in horror as he started to freak out. He unlocked the bathroom door and sprinted in the hallway. He ran through the living room and out the front door of the Cooper Gang safehouse. His eyes glowed solid gold, like he just put on gold tinted sunglasses over his eyes. He suddenly began floating off the ground as if there were suddenly no gravity at all. Clockwerk had now taken over Harley Keener's human body, allowing him to fly like Peter Pan or Superman. Harley felt himself flying high and fast through the air over the streets of Paris. The civilians on the ground looked at the flying human boy in shock and astonishment. Clockwerk was commandeering Harley's human body. Harley flew past several buildings. He headed toward the top of the Eiffel Tower. Harley/Clockwerk perched himself up on the the tallest point of the Eiffel Tower to get a vantage point like an Assassin's Creed character.

Harley/Clockwerk searched for any member of the Cooper Gang to attack. He laid his glowing yellow eyes on a nearby hospital. He saw Bentley recuperating in a hospital room near the top floor. Clockwerk wanted to finish Bentley off nice and slow like he almost managed to do before his physical metallic original body was destroyed permanently. Now that Clockwerk's soul had a new body as his host, he wanted to seek vengeance against Sly and his friends for destroying him. Harley/Clockwerk flew toward the hospital to where Bentley was at.

Meanwhile at the hospital, a turtle was hooked up to various medical equipment. He was laying in the bed reading a science fiction novel. Bentley had been recuperating at the hospital for a few months following his paralysis by Clockwerk. The damage to the turtle's spine was so severe it was a miracle that he didn't become a quadraplegic. He would be in a wheelchair for the rest of his life. The turtle liked how the doctors and nurses were treating him. Sly, Harley, Murray and Emily visited him as often as they could. Bentley was reading Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton. Harley had given him the novel a few days ago. He liked the scientific aspects of the novel.

Bentley was currently halfway through Jurassic Park. Outside of his hospital window, Harley Keener, who was still possessed by Clockwerk flew in front of the window. He considered entering the hospital asking where Bentley was and go upstairs to his room and attacking the defenseless turtle thst way. Clockwerk then realized that his glowing yellow eyes would make him suspicious when he tryed asking the receptionist where Bentley was at. He wanted a more direct approach at attacking the turtle. Clockwerk's plan was to crash through the window after gaining his attention. There, he would kill Bentley and frame Sly for killing Bentley. That would cause Sly to be more wanted than he already else for his thieving activities.

Harley/Clockwerk flew slowly toward the window. The blinds covering the window were shut. Luckily, Clockwerk had the ability to see through things like Superman does with his X-ray vision. He saw Bentley sitting in the hospital bed reading a book. This was the time for Clockwerk to strike. Bentley couldn't move without assistance. He was pretty much defenseless. Harley/Clockwerk lightly tapped his fist against the window like he was knocking on a door. Bentley heard the knocking. He assumed it was either the nurses of Sly and Murray coming to visit him.

"Come in!" the turtle called out loud. Nobody came through the door. Bentley heard the knocking again. Bentley got up from his bed to his wheelchair and wheeled himself toward the door to answer it. He unlocked the door. Nobody was at the door. Bentley looked left and right through the hallway. There was nobody in the halls. Bentley then heard the knocking against, louder this time. Bentley soon realized that somebody was knocking on the window of his hospital room. Bentley wondered who could be knocking on his window.

"Why in the hell aren't you answering me, Bentley?!" a robotic sounding voice asked Bentley.

"Who's there?" Bentley asked to the person outside the window.

"Wouldn't you like to know?" the mysterious robotic voice said to the turtle. "Open the window and maybe you'll find out who I am."

Bentley was intially reluctant to wheel himself over to the window to see who was talking to him. What if there wasn't anybody at the window? Bentley wheeled himself over toward the window to see who was talking to him. He pulled back the blinds to reveal a dark obscured figure crouching by the window. The figure looked like a human boy with glowing yellow eyes. Bentley was instantly filled with terror upon seeing the glowing yellow eyes of the figure.

The figure suddenly lunged his body toward the window, smashing it to a trillion pieces of glass in the process. The figure landed on the bed. The figure stood from the bed. The figure soon revealed itself to be a human boy who looked almost identical to Harley Keener. He had the same hair color and style as Harley. He looked exactly like Harley Keener with the exception that his eyes were bright yellow.

"Surprised to see me, Bentley?" Harley/Clockwerk asked the petrified turtle in a robotic voice. Bentley was beyond terrified at the moment. There was no way that his friend Harley just launched himself through the window of his hospital room and had yellow eyes.

"H-Harley? What are you doing here?" Bentley asked in a terrifying tone of voice. "Is this supposed to be a joke?"

Bentley's comment enraged Clockwerk. Bentley should know damn well who he was.

"You really don't know who I am, don't you?" Clockwerk asked Bentley.

"Not particularly." Bentley said. "Why are you doing this, Harley?"

"I AM NOT HARLEY! HE'S NOT HERE RIGHT NOW!" Harley/Clockwerk screamed at Bentley. "I am your worst enemy. One whose body parts you and your gang tried to steal back from the Klaww Gang!"

"Clockwerk?!" Bentley said. "How are you still alive?! I thought Carmelita destroyed your Hate Chip?"

"She may have destroyed my original body. Now, I am reborn in a new body. Unlike last time, this time you will have a much tougher time defeating me. Before my original body was destroyed permanently, i took the liberty of transferring me and Neyla's souls into me. I got into Harley's body and Neyla's soul,.I've been waiting a long time to finish off what I started with you. You're lucky you're still alive after what I did to you. I should've killed you right then and there. If that infernal bitch Carmelita Fox hadn't have interfered, I would've killed you. I'm going to finish where we left off by killing you. This time, you won't as fortunate on your survival I don't want you to tell Sly, Murray or Carmelita that I'm back in a new body." Clockwerk said to Bentley.

Clockwerk's human fingernails suddenly grew sharp. Bentley was acting like a scared little kid who was afraid of the dark. Bentley tried to wheel away from the human possessed Clockwerk that was in Harley. Suddenly, Clockwerk's soul suddenly left Harley Keener's human body. Harley's normal self returned. His eyes no longer glowed yellow. They were hazel. Harley's vision slowly cleared up. He soon found himself to be in a hospital room with Bentley cowering in his wheelchair. Harley had no idea how he ended up in the hospital room with Bentley. The last thing he remembered before spacing out was him cleaning out Murray's room in the safehouse and finding the other Clockwerk eye. He had no recollection of what happened afterward. Harley saw the handicapped turtle's frightened expression. That puzzled Harley.

"Bentley? What's going on? Why are you acting like you saw a ghost?" Harley asked Bentley in his normal voice.

"Stay away from me! Stay away from me, Sly and Carmelita!" Bentley said to Harley, still believing that he was still possessed by Clockwerk.

"It's me. Harley. I don't know what you're talking about. Why are you scared?" Harley asked Bentley. He didn't know why Bentley was acting as if he was suddenly afraid of him.

"Don't try and fool me, Clockwerk! We'll defeat you like we did last time." Bentley said to Harley.

"I thought Clockwerk was dead. The hate chip was destroyed by Carmelita, remember." Harley said. He didn't dare mention to the turtle that he had discovered Clockwerk's other eye.

"Who the fuck was I just talking to then if it wasn't Clockwerk?" Bentley asked. He started to calm down.

"I think you must have had a nightmare or something. You look pretty tired. Let me help you back on the bed." Harley said. Bentley was initially reluctant to trust Harley. What if Bentley was just imaging his encounter with Clockwerk? Harley helped Bentley go into his hospital bed. He put his wheelchair beside him. Harley then asked Bentley what happened to make Bentley afraid. Bentley was too shaken up to tell Harley about his encounter with Clockwerk. Harley left the hospital room. He wondered how in the world he ended up in Bentley's hospital room. He could vaguely remember himself flying. He didn't know whether this was a dream or if he was just imagining things the entire time. His still had Clockwerk's Eye on his face. He couldn't let Sly, Bentley or Murray know that he had discovered one of Clockwerk's eyes that was also the last surving piece of Clockwerk. Little did Harley know that this was just the beginning of his slow descent into him becoming Clockwerk physically and mentally.
